Well hello, gorgeous!
Our pattern this week is a beautiful floral shawl with some columns of lace! Have a look!
Baptisia is a knit crescent shawl designed by Jane Vanselous and is inspired by tall, columnar flowers and gardens! It features beautiful spikes surrounded by easy garter stitch and a lovely trellis border, like a fence around your garden!
Have a watch! We have filmed a video tutorial for you on how to work part of this shawl:
The sample shown features our Pearlescent Worsted Weight Yarn in July Larkspur and Crystal.
Pearlescent Worsted is 50% superwash merino wool and 50% mulberry silk. Beautifully soft with a lovely drape and subtle shimmer from the silk. And since it worsted weight, your project will work up quickly! You’ll have a stunning knitted wrap in no time.
We hope you LOVE this beautiful flower knit shawl pattern! I would say it’s for the advanced beginner and beyond so have a go at it!

It’s Col-UM-nar….Tim is going to drive you nuts, just ’cause he can…..I have to go and check out Baptisia (the flower) ’cause I’ve not heard of it before….I love yet another beautiful, slightly late summer-y shawl (you know, for when the nights turn Frigid (65 F). Kidding! I’m kidding! However (attempts to look slightly serious…) Iam awed by the last several shawl patterns you’ve shown us! EGAD!!!!
I hope you’re have the most excellent of days and that 4th of July weekend is what you want it to be (I always want it to be about fireworks I can see without having to hear all the booming and crashing).
Brightest blessings to you on this lovely day!
What a beautiful shawl the colours are fantastic thank you 🙏 for our free pattern once again I definitely will do this one me lovely 😊 take care x
Is there an error in the pattern a Row 117? After the sm p1, K3tog, p1z
After completing row 116 after the sm there are only 3 stitches btw the 2 markers.
It is a easy sm, K3tog, sm.
Curious is anyone has noticed this.
Never mind, I figured out my error
I knitted this one, and my skill level is.. oh adventurous beginner?
It was challenging but not impossible and it turned out just lovely.
It’s a fun pattern and I will absolutely be doing it again, perhaps with a nice gradient colour dissolve effect.
I will note that I wound up doing it with the twisted tweed ‘moose’ held double.
The pattern didn’t seem to mind the extra bulk and was very forgiving and it went by quickly, the end shawl being a little bit bigger with the same number of rows.
Absolutely recommend this one for someone still getting their feet under them as a knitter.
