I know I promised you a pattern in this post, but I’m going to squeeze this mini post in first! Pattern will be next!

Well, for anybody who has ever lived in far-northern regions, you know many people here tend to live for the summer.

The summers where I live are really gorgeous. Sunny, perfect temperatures. Just amazing.

The winters, however, are fierce. So as you’re driving to town in 40 below zero weather in January, you keep thinking to yourself, “Before I know it, I’ll be lounging on the porch, drinking lemonade, with my shades on, the sun shining down on my face.”

Well, my friends. It’s happening.

It’s not technically summer yet, but it’s spring and it’s STUNNING today. The snow is drip-drip-drip melting, it’s 46 degrees, and Tinkerbell is insisting I throw her toy.  (In case you’re wondering, I make my own lemonade from the juice of one lemon, 2 packets of stevia, and then fill it up with ice and water and pop in a straw. Yum.)

The day started out as a gloomy, rainy day, but look at it now!

You can see what I’ve been up to this morning:

Dyeing tons of yarn in ridiculously gorgeous shades. Each one I finished, I thought, “This is my favorite. I simply MUST knit something out of this.”

But then I would dye the next one and think, “No, no, now this is really my favorite. I simply MUST knit something out of this.”

They are drying now and as I’ve been saying, they will be listed soon in the shop.

They’re all so beautiful. I’m happy.

Peace & Light
