If I’m watching something it’s usually some sort of court TV show. I mostly listen to audiobooks and my favourite authors are Kristin Hannah, J.R. ward, Kristen Ashley, Maya Banks, I could list many but I’m currently listening to Laurelin Paige’s Fixed Series
I enjoy PBS Death in Paradise, Father Brown etc.
If it is a easy pattern. For more complicated patterns I listen to music. David white is a favorite.
Hi Chandi!
First off I want to say I had a great experience with customer service in April. Your company is the first place I bought hand dyed yarn (6 years ago) and it’s not just the yarn that keeps me coming back! Thank you and your team for an awesome job.
I generally listen to audiobooks while knitting/crocheting. I just started a new series 10 books by Joy Ellis. -Truth be told the narrator is THE BEST IN THE BUISNESS! Richard Armitage. His Scottish accent can draw you in to any genre.
Oh, by the way…this months yarn is excellent 👌
It really depends on the difficulty of the project. If I am doing a lot of counting, I will put on some downbeat instrumental music or a brainwave beat for focus. If I need something to keep me from getting bored while working on something repetitive, I usually go for documentaries. I just watched the Ken Burns series “Jazz” on PBS. I try to save my really easy projects so that I can binge on a good drama series with my boyfriend.
I love to watch the old 80s Poirot BBC/ITVs they sometimes show on PBS
My favorite show to watch while knitting and crocheting is This Is Us! I’m so sad though because it only has a couple more episodes left
I love audio books when I’m driving or crafting. Favs are the Inheritance Cycle by Paolini, Dragonriders of Pern series by McCaffrey, or sometimes a cheesy romance or romantic comedy.
I love watching ghost adventures while knitting! Theres nothing more relaxing to me
I listen while knitting/ crocheting. I like detective mysteries. PBS, NC Digital Library.
Love, love love the Pern series!
I like to listen to podcasts while crafting! Right now, I really like Let’s Stop There and Ologies with Ally Ward.
I too like podcasts while I knit. Recent discoveries include Dark Woods (a dramatic series about a murder in a state park) and The Immaculate Deception, a true story about a Dutch fertility doctor who used his own sperm to create many children without his patients’ knowledge or consent. Apparently this is not uncommon, as it has been discovered that many fertility doctors around the world did the same thing.
I love listening to podcasts too! I’m a HUGE horror fan so the DeadMeat Podcast is my absolute favorite! Chelsea and her husband James do expert, researched reviews of horror movies and it’s so entertaining and informative. Most of my horror knowledge comes from her. It’s audio and/or video but both are easy to knit/crochet/sew to them. Sometimes I even put it on in the background while I’m designing my next pattern. Right now I’m working on my pattern Patchwork Cardigan. Almost finished, but waiting patiently for the next episode of DeadMeat Pod to come out. I wonder what movie they’ll cover next? Last one I rewatched was called the Platform. I recommend any horror fans on here give it a listen
for me it’s M.C. Beaton, her Agatha Raisin series and Hamish MacBeth, both quirky sleuths in the British Isles. Although, they both are so diverting I sometimes err in my patterns…..
I love listening t o minister Andrew Wommack cds when knitting or sewing!
Right now, while I’m crocheting for my Mom, I decided to rewatch the Marvel Movies, but in chronological order, as I know I missed a couple and have forgotten parts of a few (as per my daughter)…😆
I love listening to Freya music – it’s epic music just perfect for when I need to focus but also have to be motivated to go forward.
The fact that this YouTube channel bears the same name as my daughter just adds up to the joy.
If I’m listening to something , first its The Ramsey Show , second is any crafting tutorial!
I don’t have 1 favorite book series; however my favorite author is Catherine Bybee. She has created several series I always go back to. Currently n in listening to a paranormal author series, Erin R. Flynn
I am usually crafting along with the newest bingeable series I have found or a movie with my kids. But I have found myself pulled into spy game shows. Pine Gap, Queen Sono, and a few others. Also rewatching Prison Break.
Hi, I always look forward to your emails and what’s new. When I crochet I like to watch Downtown Abbey or my guilty pleasure is the 90 day fiance series LOL. And favorite author is Sharyn McCrumb if you like historical novels with a twist you should check her out.
I generally listen to twitch craft streamers or YouTube while I crochet. Makes me feel like I am in a group instead of home alone.
I love old bfilm noir favorite series is “The Thin Man” with William Powell& Myrna Loy
Thanks so much for your YT channel I enjoy watching
Good morning!
I love you videos and look forward to your emails. Your kindness is enchanting! When I’m not watching your videos to learn something new, I’m usually watching crime dramas.
Agatha Christie, M. C. Beaton, genealogy, history- American,(WWI, WWII, Winston Churchill, Heather Cox Richardson
The National WWI Monument and Museum has a great historical online program called Mrs. Wilson’s Knitting Circle. During WWII Mrs. Edith Wilson had a knitting circle at the White House, and they knitted clothing items for the troops and health care personnel overseas. The program touches on different aspects or programs that were taking place at the time where women were involved. I usually work on a project while learning something new during these one-hour programs.
I listen to music with a fast beat if I’m trying to finish a project quickly (I have a tendency to knit/ crochet to the beat lol). Otherwise, I enjoy watching documentaries of nearly any topic.
What do I watch? Traffic and people, weather conditions allowing. I don’t own a television set. Also, I frequently watch someone knitting on YouTube, especially if it’s a long, involved project like sweaters, or a Shetland Shawl.
Dear Chandi, I love watching a good relaxing movie while knitting, something beautiful like the “Babette’s feast”.
Honestly, I watch a lot of YouTube. Watching people play games or cook. Basically just easy, chill watching.
I’ve been watching the Shoah Foundation’s videos of survivors on YouTube. Just recently discovered YouTube also has free audio books to listen to so Agatha Christie here I come!
I really just enjoy sitting with no noise. I find it meditating. I recently found you on YouTube and love your channel. You’re so sweet, easy to understand and so enjoying to watch and learn from. I have knitted basics my whole life but just retired and decided to learn how to knit some real stuff! Can you teach this old dog to knit?!
Same, no tv:-) I spend 4 days a week with my young son in dialysis, listening to the nurses gossip and the beep of machines. But it is a wonderful time to visit with my boy and work with fiber and dream of the day when we can be home for good.
What a wonderful attitude in such a trying time. My prayers for you and your sweet boy. May you have many lovely years ahead.
My brother was on dialysis for years before his kidney transplant, I spent many days with him and I know that beeping sound oh so well. Will keep you and your son in my prayers🙏 God Bless
I don’t have favorite. I’ll let the famiy decide and then kick back and relax.
Endgame…i so want to be the queen.
Watched the movie Green Mile last night…brilliant but Tom Hanks always is.
I’m usually watching whatever we’ve decided to have on TV for my husband… but I very much have been enjoying the British series The Repair Shop.
Let me put on Pride and Prejudice with Colin Firth and I’ll be a happy camper for the next four hours!! I have watched that movie so many times, that I don’t need to look up from my project. I already know what’s going on. =)
If I’m knitting during the day I like to enjoy the quiet. If it is evening mostly I have HGTV on its not so distracting and I love decorating shows. If I’m lampworking or cooking I’m listening to music.
I love the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind
I have only read the Wizard’s First Rule, I loved it so much! I’ve been meaning to start the other books. So the audio books are decent? ie good narrator?
I agree. I could watch that weekly and not get bored.
I prefer to sit outside and listen to the birds, the wind, and/or the rain while I crochet.
I love everything written by Rosalind James, she just writes great romance books which I can really recommend as audiobooks as well. Otherwise I love watching Fantasy shows on Netflix or Amazon Prime or romantic comedies.
I enjoy anything nostalgic of the days gone by. Like the series “Little House On The Prairie” which is on now on our local channel. I love ,”Call the Midwife”. Its funny how we view time.I finally figured the time period for the series is when I was born. Times is all relative. I also like any historical documentaries.
While crocheting I watch true crime shows like criminal minds. I also enjoy listening to podcasts like true crime so the time TCATT or the moth radio hour. Right now I’m working on a beach cover up. But look forward to making the Boho Shawl next. Love your channel.
Me too!! Castle Was on and I marathoned it while crocheting
Hi Chandi, I watch tutorials on crocheting & knitting (I still can not read a pattern) and Soapmaking, hockey, Outlander, Bridgerton, La Brea. I have tried audible books but prefer to read myself. I think the voices of the narrators change the scene and characters in my imagination lol. Johanna Lindsey and Julie Garwood best romance books. The older Dean Koontz books I really like but Lightning is still my favorite. All other reading is mostly nursing med books. I love silly movies that have nothing to do with reality. I just need background noise to crochet/knit and relax the stresses of the day away.
I also watch the crime shows! You get a whole story in just one hour. And I also love the History Channel and old movies on TCM. Working on a summer knit sweater right now.
I’ve been watching criminal minds too!
I like to enjoy mystery or maybe romcom movies while crocheting or knitting. Some of my favorites are Enola Holmes and blended.
It honestly varies! I could go from watching a crime documentary to a cartoon show. Right now, im watching different video game playthroughs as I crochet.
Hello, Chandi,
I like to follow Agatha Christie’s movies.
I like listening to Sarah J. Maas while I’m crafting away.
The Great British Bake-off has been my go to for video playing in the background while knitting. I must have seen the entire series a dozen times by now and I still love it.
I knit while hubby watches TV. Usually it’s a murder detective who done it.
My current favorite books are the Chosen Series by K.F. Breene and also the Chrossfire Series by Sylvia Day. Kim Harrison is a favorite author, Alanea Alder’s Bewitched and Bewildered series is phenomenal!! Treasa Gabelmam The Protectors series is Amazing also! I love knowing and learning about other people’s books they enjoy.
I’m always watching some shows about animals!!I luv them!!
My favorite thing to listen while I crafted it is horror podcasts. I have so many favs!! Creepy Podcast, SCP Archives, Grim Harvest, Margaret’s Garden, The Magnus Archives, and so many more!!

Chandi I hope u & hubby are well! The colors this month are 100% my colors!! Love any shade of pink!! Lol I’m the type of person who needs something anything playing in the background while concentrated. Live listening to music or letting a series, usually the office or Shitts Creek just play on Netflix. I was like this in my school years also need something to block out to zone in! Lol
Take care and stay safe ✌️ 💓 & 🧶

I usually knit/crochet while my husband watches TV but one movie we keep watching over is the Bourne or Die Hard movie series.
As always, the colors are beautiful!!! 😍
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻Congratulations, Margaret Tittle on your squishy prize!!! Enjoy every stitch! 💜
When I craft i usually watch some movie or listen to audio books. My favorites are The Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini or LOTR by Tolkien
🧶I switch between listening to music like novo amor and podcasts like TED talks and positive affirmation podcasts. Recently, I put Bridgerton on and Russian doll 😊
Usually I watch crime documentaries, or gaming content creators on Youtube when I’m crafting.
I am catching up Frankie and Grace.
I love watching the Good Witch while knitting.
I listen mostly to mystery audiobooks while crocheting. While I also love to read books I can’t read and crochet so thank goodness for audiobooks. The Mrs. Pollifax series by Dorothy Gilman are one of my favorite as is Rhys Bowen’s series.
CONGRATS TO LAST MONTHS WINNER FIRST TIME HERE THANKS TO BLUE EYES FOR THE HEADS UP .. I USUSALLY WATCH U TUBE FELLOW CRAFTERS AND TV WHATEVER OLD GUY HAS ON AND EITHER KNIT OR CROCHET ALWAYS HAVE A VARIETY OF WIP … WOW ALL THE GIVE AWAYS SPECTACULAR. WILL INVESTIGATE THIS CHANNEL FOR SURE ! AND SEE WHATS FOING ON HAVE A BLESSED DAY WHERE EVER YOU ARE
I am a news junkie, so I am listening while I crochet. I plan to invest in an Audible book at some point in the future. I hesitate because I love to turn the pages of the book I am reading.
Beautiful colors. Congratulations to Margaret. If I’m sitting, I’m knitting (or crocheting). Movies, TV shoes, Auto races, music, doesn’t matter.
Me too. Whatever is on the television, however it is usually turned down enough it’s just a bit of white noise. I’m content to sit in absolute quiet as well.
While knitting blankets or something easy I like watching weepy movies or a psychological thriller.
Lately I’ve been watching the show Peaky Blinders while I knit. Great inspiration for retro English sewing projects!
I love having Downton Abbey on while I’m crocheting. So engrossing even after seeing it many times!!!
Love these colors & the variety of bases. So luxurious!!!
Hi Chandi, the wool collection this month is as beautiful as ever. Those warm reddish pinks are just to die for!
When I crochet or knit I either listen to the inkheart trilogy or watch Arthurian legend fantasy stuff 😀 Always a good time working on a project.
Love British Period drama, while I knit or croche my absolute favorite is Downton Abbey.
I watch/listen to whatever my husband is binge watching on Netflix or Hulu or a hockey game if our team is playing. Oh the stitches I have dropped when they score ☺️.
I enjoy a good romance movie😉
Thanks for the chance!
Usually when I am crafting, my husband controls the TV. If I am alone, it will be a sitcom – something silly that I don’t need to pay attention to.
Sooo beautiful! Great colours!
I love to listen to thriller and crime audio books by J.D. Robb, Jeffrey Deaver, Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child. Cozy Crime Bunburry series by Helena Marchmont. And romance by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward, depends on knitting pattern and mood 😉
What gorgeous colours !
I usually will tolerate anything my partner is watching on TV, but prefer listening to music when I knit.
Hope you all have a nice day.!
What gorgeous colours! I usually knit and watch TV in the evenings …… so, not fussy there. If I am knitting in the daytime I am reading and knitting – I have an e-reader and it makes doing 2 of my favourite things very easy.
As a brandy-new knitter, I find that soothing classical music like Vivaldi’s Four Seasons is the perfect soundtrack to my “moving meditation” — which is what I call knitting.
If I’m watching TV while crocheting or knitting I’ll put on Outlander.. It’s fun and adventurous.
The best!
I usually watch one of the PBS channels or watch Doctor Who on DVD. Only problem is the TV attracts the attention of my sister’s cat Alexander who is a couch potato kitty who loves sitting on my lap while I craft.
I’m watching the Swedish version of Robinson. Also listening to the news every evening!
Love PBS too Margaret 🙂
I like to listen to classic literature when I crochet. Lately I’ve been on a Charles Dickens kick. Also, my favorite book at the moment is “The Starless Sea” by Erin Morgenstern. I’ve listened to that one a few times. LOL!
I’ve been listening to The Starless Sea lately as well. Just before that, I listened to The Night Circus. I’ve read both of them in paper, but the audiobooks are just so well-produced!
I usually watch Call the Midwife or The Crown while crocheting.
My favorite movie is Cinderella , I love everything to do with Disney ! ❤️
I’m usually watching/listening to a You Tube video while knitting.
I’ve been listening to The Expanse series, but I binge whole miniseries over a weekend while knitting!
Love Gone with the Wind…both the movie and the book. They are very different, but both so enjoyable!
My favorite authors I like to listen to are David Baldacci’s King and Maxwell series and Gregg Hurwitz’s Ophan X series. I like watching true crime tv and cooking shows.
Congratulations to the winner! No Tv but I’m currently listening to the Outlander books.
Hello Chandi, i don’t normally do this, only that i ended up subscribing to your YouTube channel last year as i had watched you a few times and was delighted by your gentle spirit. I also appreciate all your new patterns, they are all so beautiful and for the most part simple, and you make them quite approachable by your instructions. I slowly got to understand that you dye your yarn,spin- i find that fantabulous that your are so dedicated to what you love !! And i noticed lately how that yarn seems so shimmery and the colors just tickle my eyes !!! A little while ago my niece asked me to teach her to crochet, which gave us the opportunity to “get together” on zoom since i live in Hawaii and she is in Texas and we hardly ever are in the same room and a few days ago, seeing one of your videos, i told myself i might introduce her to you. I don’t have a tv, but i like to watch Monk, Castle and a good Hallmark movie and many other things when i am in front of one pet sitting. Otherwise i am on Youtube -where i found you- and listen to Graham Cooke, Lana Vawser, a lot of the news about Ukraine these past 68 days, and started the audio Bible in Hebrew and i was on my way to put on “Song of Songs” when i came across your gift of the month video and thought….”well, why not !!!” and “i hope she doesn’t send too many emails!! ;->” Bless you Chandi- “Anything that doesn’t produce love is a waste of time.” Derek Prince ~ :-> Thank you for spreading your love ~
Honestly, I don’t have a “favorite” thing to watch, I DO like true crime (from the solving point of view) … I’ve never listened to an audiobook in my life, yes I’ve been told what I’m missing!! 😂 But it’s usually something I can knit to.
My favourite thing to watch is anything on Hallmark Channel or Hallmark Movies and Mysteries otherwise I love listening to podcasts on health and wellness or the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich
I like to listen to mystery audiobooks most often when I am creating. I like how stimulating trying to solve the book is while I work. Keeps my mind active in multiple ways. But if I am feeling particularly unfocused I put on a cheesy romance with lots of humor. I feel like I am either too hyper focused and loose track of time while working or like it takes me an hour to just get a row done.
I binge watch the tv series Lie to me on Hulu. And some times I watch the Princess Bride for the 20th time.
I am a sucker for criminal minds while crafting. Sometimes the imagery can be too much and it’s nice to be able to not always look at the screen 🙂
I usually have the discovery channel or HGTV on while I crochet
I love watching Jane Austen classics- I know all the words, so I don’t have to look up when I’m knitting or crocheting!
I like to watch my favorite crafters channels on YouTube. Some of them are Expression Fiber Arts, Very Pink Knits, The Crazy Sock Lady and The Grocery Girls.
OMG these colors are breathtaking 😲😲😲
I listen to old episodes of Divorce Court with Judge Lynn 😁😁
We’re currently making our way through Cosmos, but recently we’ve been watching Blacklist, Downton Abbey, True Blood, or revisiting various epic movie series like all the Star Wars, LOTR, etc… 😊
I’m doing a full series rewatch of This Is Us.
I just watch anything interesting I can stream, to be honest.
As I work from home I am usually listening to music. When the TV is on, it is to entertain another. And when I have time I am checking out YouTube videos about yarn. Love to knit in the evening too.
Love Downton Abby and Call the midwife, also have conversation with my dachten abortus los of topics while knitting
Hi Chandi!
Nowadays when I get a chance to crochet I prefer to sit and relax on my stoep overlooking my garden. Seeing the new trees we planted grow so our little boy can have a shady spot to play under. I’ll turn on some music or listen to my favourite crochet podcasts like Bonnie Bay or The Cozy Cottage or I’ll keep myself updated with your latest CAL tutorials, cant wait to see the finished Hearthside blanket <3
I can never choose a favorite movie, but I have been watching Criminal Minds on Netflix and Hulu, and recently finished A Discovery of Witches on AMC+. For books I love anything Sarah J Maas! Though I haven’t read the newest one yet; I’ve been knitting too much. Haha!
I’ve been working on the Mystery KAL blanket, recently finished a cardigan for my sister, and am making some matching scrapes for a friend and myself. Have plans for both the Shala tee shirt and Faie long sleeve next. 🙂
Ooo how wonderful! All the colours the GD gets dressed in for her first birthday, which is this month! 💖 That would be awesome!
That’s a tough question Chandi! I have a few that I listen to/watch while making. There’s the multitude of house reno shows and looking for the perfect home both overseas and local to folk, get to tour the world while not traveling and no ‘story line’ to try to make sense of…oh and enjoy ‘Escape to the Chateau’ the wonderful home Angel and Dick are renovating in France…. Deadliest Catch…gotta love the crabbers… House(that one has been awhile…I might just have to start that one again.) Anything I’ve watched in the past is fair game because I know what’s going on and can ‘see’ the expressions without looking.
If it’s something new then I don’t get any making done which defeats the purpose. 😂 I watch those when the eyes need a break from close up work.
Of course, if i don’t have the telly on, there’s a lot of sighing from Buster because he enjoys watching telly…naturally he gets quite annoyed if another dog, or heaven forbid, any other animal walks across the screen.. then he makes his displeasure heard.
I will turn the volume off though if there’s a pattern repeat that just won’t stick in the memory bank and needs my full concentration.
Thanks again for another wonderful giveaway opportunity. xo
Keep well.
I love knitting to anything and often binge watch seasons of different series! Love this opportunity for more !
I’m usually sitting up late on my own so anything that nobody else in the house is interested in watching with me. Most recently it’s been Chuck, ER (right from the very start), Bridgerton or You Can’t Ask That depending on my mood.
I’ve been knitting to the Knitted by Whitney YouTube channel lately, her voice is very soothing and I love the book recommendations she adds at the end of her episodes! It’s either that or music for me lately, Fleetwood Mac has been a staple of my knitting playlist this month 🙂
My favorite way is to listen an audio-book. That way I can keep my eyes on the project and still follow up what’s going on.
I like to listen to historical fiction on audio books when I’m crafting or have a long drive. I just finished The Four Winds and now I’m listening to Stories From Suffragette City.
My favorite movie is Ever After with Drew Barrymore. I have been trying to catch up on the Tv series Ghost Whisperer and the X-files. I used to work a lot…. I have a lot to catch up on and projects to finish. 🙂 I hope everyone has a wonderful day.
Whilst crafting I tend to watch something which doesn’t need too much concentration, Father Brown or Midsummer Murders, something like that. As for audiobook again something light although I recently listened to The Matchstick Man which was really good, also enjoyed Sweetpea. I don’t really mind what I watch or listen to as long as I am crocheting or knitting, sometimes I will listen / watch podcasts from various crafters.
Thank you for such a fantastic yarn giveaway 😘😘
I usually listen to classical music while I’m knitting or crocheting – soothing and uplifting at the same time…
Any true crime stories – can knit without watching. So it is more tv listening than watching 😉
I love to listen to different podcasts in Google Podcast app.
I don’t have any favorite anything. It keeps changing. I listen to podcasts or music, or watch series or YT videos interchangeably.
Right now I’m listening to the wonderful book The hitchhiker’s guide to the galaxy. The crazy intergalactic adventures of Arthur Dent. It’s perfect thow it’s many hours of reading and you don’t have to be a 100% concentrated listener every second. Perfect combination with a sometimes demanding knitting pattern.
I watch TV while I crochet. Films and series that are on the programe.
I like to listen to On Air With Ella cos she shares lotsa wellness tips.
I love audiobooks (usually fantasy or mystery) or podcasts (Levar Burton Reads or Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me) while I’m crafting.
When crafting I usually like to watch something I’ve already seen so I can just follow along with it in the background and can concentrate on what I’m doing. I also enjoy audiobooks for the same reason. I suppose if I had to pick one it would probably be Pride and Prejudice a BBC mini series which stayed very true to the book.
I love listening to piano worship tunes and songs as I craft along.
Lately I’ve been watching old movies on my streaming services ( 1940s – 1950s) while crocheting or knitting. Especially musicals. Always puts me in a good mood!
I like those adventure books and shows. Lee Child hooked me on Jack Reacher series. Knitting to podcasts are also rewarding for me.
Hi Chandi,
Thank you for this giveaway. Lovely colours and yarn. I mostly enjoy watching old TV series when crocheting. Specially comedies.
Like the golden girls, love boat, bonanza, love Lucy …. really old ones 🙂
Also enjoy watching crocheting tutorials.
Good luck to everyone.
I’ve currently been on a Hobbit/Lord of the Rings kick when crafting!
Put on The Wizard of Oz and I will sing along as I knit – drives my husband crazy! LOL
I love Candice DeLong, and her new Podcast series Killer Psyche is awesome to listen while crocheting or knitting. Or I binge Deadly Women to get my Candice fix while I sit and knit. 🤍
Congratulations to Margaret for winning!
Thank you to Chandi for the give away, the patterns and the beautiful videos. Such a beautiful soul
Forensic Files!
I tend to watch British crime dramas while crocheting & favourite author is Diana Gabaldon, any & all of her books.
I don’t watch telly…. But I read everything I can get my hands on. I do listen to YouTube videos if I’m learning a new stitch. I prefer quiet and sit outside as much as I can. The birds and breeze calm me. I’d really appreciate that you have giveaways. I have a list of patterns from you and am hopeful that someday I’ll be able to at least start som of them. God bless
As always love the colors in the giveaway. I’m usually listening to whatever hubby is watching, which can be NCIS binge a thon, or vehicle shows like Roadkill or Garage Squad. Occasionally the history or Smithsonian channel. Usually off in my knitting world and don’t pay much attention to the TV except for background noise. Thanks for offering such beautiful yarn for our projects.
Another beautiful giveaway Chandi! I just got my colours done, and the above are almost all in my palette! I can already imagine a new wardrobe of knitted garments to start the summer 🙂 My go to show: BBC’s Pride & Prejudice – I don’t even need to watch it, I’ve seen it so many times! Great for when I really need to concentrate. Otherwise, Outlander, and very recently, F1 racing!! Have a lovely day!
Murder She Wrote
I watch outlander or law and order and whatever my husband is watching while knitting.
Usually watch Netflix or watch with hubby’s recordings of tv series. Too many favorites:), love everything, romance, dramas, detectives, crime investigation, comedy, documentaries, history, etc. Thank you Chandi and team! Congrats to Margaret
Father Brown. It’s a British mystery series based off of books written in the 1950’s. He’s a crime solving Catholic priest.
Recently, I’ve had Schitt’s Creek on while knitting. I’ve seen the series so many times that I don’t need to watch…..I can just listen and laugh 🤣
It really depends on the difficulty of what I’m knitting or crocheting but generally I have reruns of sitcoms, such as Friends or BigBang Theory on TV, something that’s somewhat entertaining but that I don’t have to look up often to still follow because I’ve seen it at least once, if not many times, before.
I listen to audiobooks, often British crime novels, but I like fantasy and science fiction, too.
Generally I’m watching a TV sitcom rerun. Lately I’ve added in Frasier and The Nanny to my mix. A couple months ago I watched the entire Golden Girls series while crafting, partially because I never knew about the Golden Palace spin-off they did but felt I needed to see every episode of the original series first. Cute, entertaining shows that I don’t necessarily need to constantly be looking at to enjoy while I knit and crochet away.
I love old black and white movies from the 30s and 40a. I always have something like Charlie
Chan or The Thin Man streaming while I knit.
I always look at the yarns in this shop and think I am falling in love with every and each of them. It literally brakes my heart to see some gone like Amal last year. I love to knit and crochet any free minute I have no matter what I am doing, sometimes even while walking. It is like meditation. And this yarns are truly an expression of Art, a joy to work with them.
You’ll be happy to know that the Amal Fingering is coming back this summer in beautiful new shades.
When knitting I like to listen to murder mysteries. I often listen 5o Stuart Woods’ series whose main character is Stone Barrington. I also like yo listen to any mystery by Janet Evanovich. The characters and storylines are complex enough to keep my interest.
I usually watch some kind of sport, or documentary.
Hi Chandi! I really love watching other creators on YouTube if I have the time while I knit, but most of the time I’ll be on Zoom in a meeting when I whip out the needles. The Great Pottery Throwdown has been a recent fun series to watch while I create, too! Happy creating!!!
Boy I wish I could focus enough to enjoy an audiobook. I love to watch YouTube tutorials on all things crafting. Just learned Tunisian crochet and one day I hope to learn how to knit
Podcast: Southern Fried True Crime
YouTube: Calmed By Nature
Bless you sweet soul, and thank you for this very generous giveaway. ❤️
While it will likely seem boring, I watch and re-watch a documentary series about the history of the British monarchy while knitting. It’s great because I’ve seen it so many times that I don’t worry about missing something if I’m looking at my knitting instead of the TV.
So excited to be involved here. This is the first time I’ve entered a contest like this.
I like to watch modern and historical crime series like criminal minds, Murdoch Mysteries or Agatha Christie movies.
My favorite thing to listen to when I’m crafting is my husband playing his favorite video game “Days Gone” I don’t have to pay attention and can just craft! 😃
I’m just finding you and am loving looking at your beautiful yarn!!! I usually like to listen to a book on tape while knitting. My husband is an artist and we travel a lot so I also knit in the car when we switch off driving. We are usually listening to music and singing loudly and very badly but have so much fun on the road. Thank you for showcasing your lovely yarn. I appreciate your talent for creating incredible colors that make such amazing knitted works. Happiness!
Thank you for all these yummy colors!
I need all my concentration while knitting so no TV or books…if anything, I’ll listen to classical music. 💙💜💚
As always, what a beautiful selection of colorways! I usually knit while watching a Hallmark movie and never miss When Calls The Heart. My favorite author is David Baldacci but I’m old school and prefer to sit and enjoy reading a book.
I like to watch true story film while kkitting .
Or your You Tube, especially your You Tube. Love the way you explain the stiches and the yarn. ❤❤👍
I always crochet while watching Sunday Morning and having coffee every Sunday!
Outlander nothing like a bit of escapism while crafting
Congratulations Margaret! I like to watch The Great British Baking Show.
I like to listen to true crime podcasts or watch reality dating shows while knitting.
My favourite show to watch while doing some crochet, definitely The Office US!
I’ve been listening to the Outlander series on audiobook. If I’m not listening I’ll put on a movie I’ve seen before.
Thanks for the giveaway!
I watch a lot of YouTube videos so really anything that’s on will be knitted or crocheted to while it’s on.
I listen to audio books and knit, so I can pay attention to my knitting! I listen to all kinds of books. My daughter who is a writer always suggests awesome titles I never would have discovered on my own. My absolute favorite is “A little life” by Hanya Yanagihara. Any I”I’ll give you the Sun” by Jandy Nelson.
Your yarn colors, inspired by nature are very beautiful.
I like to watch comedy / animated movies or serials while crocheting as it does not require much concentration. Friends and Disney movies are my all time favorites.
I sometimes listen to military books especially pertaining to the Civil War and World War 2. I also listen to a lot of different Genres of music.
I enjoy all kinds of shows. We just finished watching the Castle series. I also enjoy Downton Abby, and watching crafts on YouTube. I enjoy sewing in the daytime and knitting in the evenings. Right know I’m knitting a beautiful dress for my granddaughter.
Currently the original version of Iron Chef
Usually the new batch of apple tv series. I have been enjoying Winning Time on HBO about the LA Lakers.
I love listening to James Herriot All Creatures Great and Small audio books. They are relaxing and I’ve heard them enough times that they are not distracting. Thank you for doing the giveaway!!
Your yarns are so lovely….I look at your daily emails just for the breathtaking pleasure!
I usually like watching Heartland when I am knitting or crocheting.
If I am knitting I will listen to an audiobook as it is less distracting than a movie. I must pay more attention to my knitting which is not as easy for me as crochet. For crocheting, I will binge on Pride and Prejudice or Jane Eyre. I have watched them so many times I can recite the script! I am a yarn fanatic too: the more, the merrier!!!!
I watch knitting vlogs on YouTube, or documentaries about space or science.
True crime programs.
Lovely colors! I like mystery/thriller audio books! When I’m not knitting & listening, I peruse various knitting books for inspiration. Or I crochet to mix things up a bit. Thinking I might need (want??) more EFA yarn (for an easy shawl)…but of course!
I’m a little old-school, lol. I love The Walton’s and Little House on the Prairie – two favorites that take me back to my childhood. I’m an avid crafter and prolific knitter, producing handmade gifts for those I love. My favorite item to knit bar none is a lovely, feminine shawl. A shawl really adds a touch of class to an outfit.
Hello Chandi,
I LOVE listening to a book while knitting. It allows me to combine two favorite thing!
I recently finished “The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society.” It was captivating. I also loved “The Hiding Place.” Both of these books were great for my soul and I’ve often pondered on things I believe I learned
I also enjoy fun beach reads. But, my all time favorite books are centered around female characters and the relationships we can build with each other.
Thank you for the give away each month!
I love watching Harry Potter when I crochet.
I’m all about binging things I’ve seen a million times before while I knit and spin so that I don’t have to worry about missing things. Some of my favorites Outlander (but only the first 3 seasons), The Office, Lucifer, The Nanny, and Grey’s Anatomy. When I’m looking for something super throwback, I might tap into my personal guilty pleasure show…..Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman 🤣.
What is my favorite to do while crafting? We watch LT And We Know Romans 8:28, and we watch Grace and Glory with Dave Scarlet and Amanda Grace, and Green acres about Sam and Angela and many wood working shows for the hubby. We do everything we can to live our life for the Lord.
I am listening/watching a DVD from Celtic Thunder containing the songs performed by the late great George Donaldson.
Recently it’s been a great audio book series by Nancy Warren! The Vampire Knitting Club series. It’s a cozy murder mystery series with a supernatural bit of fun. And the reader for the series does a wonderful job! I can knit for hours!
I’m so random with what I watch or listen to when knitting or crocheting. It could be one of the very many channels on Youtube or a sitcom, drama, mystery, romcom…on tv.
I’m watching Naked and Afraid XL! Love it!
I watch a wide variety of videos or listen to books or old-time radio shows on YouTube while I knit or crochet. These include, but aren’t limited to The Sheep Game, The Hoof GP, Sherpa, Keyush, Bondi Vet, The Sci Show, True Facts, anything mystery, true crime, history, and many others. Thank you for this opportunity!
What I like most when knitting is listening to Jane Austen’s audiobooks or watching The Twilight Saga
Lately I have been listening to the Harry Potter audiobooks (yet again) with my son while I knit.
I’m a binge watcher and love period pieces so I tend to binge watch things like Vikings or Brigerton while crocheting or knitting. Although I love a good documentary series too.
I listen to Terry Pratchett’s Discworld- a funny and charming series
I need to watch repeats when crafting – otherwise I end up forgetting what I am doing and concentrating on what I am watching.
I’m reading an Agatha Christie novel, The Hollow. My favorite movie is a old one Robin Hood with Errol Flynn.
Lizzos Watch Out for the Big Grrrls!
I love your yarn 🧶 such beautiful colors. Sometimes I’m in my yard knitting or crocheting with my cats listening to the birds and traffic or in my room listening to audiobooks by Esther Hicks or Bob Proctor—-or watching old movies like Aliens or Halloween and maybe series’ like the Servant or Bridgerton. Thanks for all you do !
I love, love, love old (1960s era) westerns, like Gunsmoke, Wagon Train, etc.
I bounce between watching The Office or Gilmore Girls. Have been for years, still do. Sometimes I’ll watch a crime solving show or Grey’s Anatomy, but lately I’ve been into watching C-drama or K-drama.
I love watching anime, particularly shonen and general comedies.
This is such a beautiful giveaway Chandi! Love these colours so much! Have a beautiful May! 🙂
I usually crochet with the sound of traffic in the background-cars ,trailers, trains but I can also hear the birds in the yard. If I sit on the patio I get distracted by the pair of pretty cardinals or the squirrels chasing all over the trees and across the street.
Better Call Saul kept me entertained sometimes.
I like to listen to soothing music, prayer songs or just sit by the window and listen to nature’s sounds while crocheting. I don’t watch movies while crocheting because it distracts me and also slows my pace and I also tend to make mistakes while watching tv and crocheting. but once in a while I do enjoy crocheting while watching a movie. The most recent movie that i liked to watch is “The little bride”. I also like animes a lot.
I love to listen to audiobooks while knitting and I highly recommend Sherry Thomas’s Lady Sherlock series that starts with A Study In Scarlet Women. The narrator is perfect, which is crucial – I’ve stopped listening to many good books because the narrator is so annoying!
I have been listening to a series of knitting mysteries by Maggie Sefton. So much fun!
I love to listen to music when I crochet. It could be 80s, 70s, smooth jazz, or some chill electronic music.
My favorite movie is Gone with the Wind
I watch true crime shows while crocheting
Another gorgeous selection for the give-away. Oh, how we appreciate you and your business! When it comes to knitting and television viewing, the only show I truly love is the Good Doctor. I will “knit” for anything….
My favorite author is Catherine Coulter. She has a series of FBI thriller’s that keep you in suspense and it’s very hard to put it down! I like to listen to soft music or just listen to whatever my husband is watching on tv.
FABULOUS collection for this month like every month🙂
Congrats Margaret!!!! You lucky girl !🤗 Jane Austin..period type movies.. “Chick” flicks .. Old westerns
Great week Chandi and all 😊
I usually try to catch up on my favorite YouTube vloggers or rewatch Gilmore Girls or such.
Wow, another gorgeous set of yarn for the giveaway! I’m not sure I really have a favourite or set thing that I watch or listen to while crafting. It depends a lot on my mood and where I am. If I’m home visiting family, I’ll knit or crochet with my Mom, and we just talk and spend that time together. We’d often put on one of Tim Janis’s video in the background, though. Always beautiful scenary and peaceful music, which is greeat for when you really need to concentrate on a challenging piece!
Lately I’ve been watching Criminal Minds while I’m knitting. Or I listen to Audibles by John Sandford, Stephen King. Nora Robert’s.
I have young kids, so I’m normally listening:watching something on Disney or Sesame Street.
I enjoy listening to podcasts while knitting. My favorites are the Knitmore Girls and Cogknitive
I’m not really a watch and knit person. I do enjoy listening to music, or outside, to bird song. I read everything, but not while knitting. I recommend Jodi Piccoult. Lately I’ve been reading assorted books about women during World War II.
Currently I am watching the Supernatural series while crocheting. Otherwise it’s usually some kind od ID crime shows 🙃😊
When I am crocheting I catch up on whatever series I’m stuck on. Currently it is Heartland on Netflix.
These colors are gorgeous, Chandi! Thank you for the opportunity. I listen to music and podcasts: Conan O’Brien Needs A Friend; Smartless; Hypochondriactor; Sisters-In-Law; Now and Then; Why is This Happening. I laugh A LOT, and learn a little something, too!
Oh my goodness, I don’t have just one!
I divide my knitting into two types of projects: anime knitting (can be done while reading subtitles) and non-anime knitting (which I work on when watching regular TV or movies with my husband). I get a little done each night when watching an episode or two of whatever is next in our queue!
Honestly, I watch a lot of YouTube. Watching people play games or cook. Basically just easy, chill watching.
(Oh no, my comment ended up being a reply to another person. Didn’t mean to, but I’m on my phone.)
I like to work on my projects while watching reality TV or shows I’ve seen multiple times like Friends, Buffy, Grey’s Anatomy, etc.
I love the Australian series A Place to Call Home! Outlander is another you can find me watching while knitting. I have even knit some Outlander items.
I love listening to the Terry Pratchett ‘Discworld’ series. while knitting.
i can knit while anything at all is playing… i just shift my attention more one way or the other depending what is playing
Hi Shandi, hope your are having a blessed day. I love watching things that make learn or laugh. I just finished watching a baking series called Is it Cake?. It was fun!! I totally recommend it. I’m counting the days to get my 1st yarn order form you, so I can start my Mother’s Day present for my mom. Sending lots love for all you.
Love the colors! I’ve been watching old Law and Order’s.
I watch cooking shows on PBS and Food Network. Two of my passions are cooking and knitting!
I watch/listen to history documentaries while crocheting. I can learn and be entertained while not needing to watch the television screen as I work on my project.
I love watching the the retro station. the old sitcoms can’t be beat.
First, congratulations to Margaret on winning last month’s gift of luxury yarn! She’s a lucky duck!
My favourite series to watch while yarn crafting would be Downton Abbey! ❤️
I listen to podcast. A few favorites are Inside Personal Growth, Not Just The Tudors and Generation Why.
Something I’ve seen before like big bang theory, the middle, or modern family.
If I’m listening to anything, it is what the hubby is watching. Or the radio, country music.
I like to knit watching a series such I can binge watch so I don’t have to get up. Reading a good musteryis great too!
I usually listen to different podcasts depending on the day. If I’m feeling stressed out, my favorite is to just sit in my backyard and listen to the birds, it’s very relaxing.
I am usually watching other crochet/knit videos while I crochet/knit or I’m not watching anything at all and listening to some mellow jazz.
Right now I’m watching HGTV while knitting. If I’m honest, I get more knitting done during football season than any other time of the year. I love knowing I’ll have at least one three hour block of time available (but usually it’s 6 hours) that won’t be interrupted by much!
I love watching the series downtown Abbey while I craft. I don’t really listen to audio books.
But my husband reads to me before bed and I love knitting during that, right now my favorite book we’re reading is “A Voice in the Wind”by Francine Rivers.
I don’t have anything special, I do listen to podcasts, Very Pink Knits, Pardon My Stash and I watch Andrea Mowry’s weekly youtube vlog!
I’ve been binging NCIS
Oh gosh, so many movies. I guess I have 3 all time movie favourites to watch while knitting or crocheting: Dirty Dancing, Crazy, Stupid Love and Love Actually
Right now, Virgin River on Netflix
Beautiful yarn!! I love to watch and listen to knitting podcasts on YouTube. I’m a beginner knitter so hearing about what other people knitted, their modifications and things that went well and didn’t really helps me learn.
We go through a lot of series. Right now it’s Always Sunny or Impractical Jokers
I like to watch something light and fun while I crochet – I leave the heavier murder mysteries for times when I can give the show my full attention. Recent favorites for watching while crocheting are Good Witch (I preferred the TV Series over the movies) and other Hallmark mysteries series, also Lucifer and Saving Grace. Perhaps one of these days I’ll try an audio book or podcast.
I like watching youtube videos about yarn/crochet. Also like to stream adventure or exploring shows ie. treasure hunting or looking for Bigfoot.
I can’t read or watch movies while I’m crocheting without getting distracted from the piece I’m making, which just ends up in frogging, so I listen to music instead, usually something acoustic or jazzy.
I watch YouTube true crime videos while I knit or crochet.
I’ll listen to anything, or watch anything, while knitting. I love to keep my fingers busy while my mind is entertained. This method has lead to a few too many unpick and re-knits though.
I usually watch TV while I’m knitting, but what I watch depends on how complicated the pattern is! When I’m concentrating on knitting, the TV show has to be rather mindless, and vice versa.
I love to watch sports while knitting. Especially when it is stormy and cold at home and a golf game is on with beautiful tropical weather!!
I will bingewatch Netflix & Crave. I’ve seen the following multiple times, Blacklist, Sherlock, IZombie, Murdock Mysteries, The Witcher, Wynonna, Killjoys, Orphan Black to name a few. On DVD, we have our faves, Supernatural, FIrefly, Person of Interest, Warehouse 13, Preacher to name a few.
Thank you for the chance to win your gorgeous yarn!! I love the patterns using your yarns.
Because I crochet every day… for hours (and TRY to sell on Etsy) – I’m lucky enough to have been able to retire early 🙂 – I watch so many different series. Here are some of my favorites:
Hulu:
Comedies – Bless This Mess, Home Economics
True Drama Series – Gaslit, The Dropeout, The Thing About Pam
Netflix
Comedies – The Good Place (excellent!), Schitt’s Creek, Grace and Frankie
Drama – Ozark
True Drama Series – Inventing Anna (excellent!)
I watch anything that is mindless so I can count stitches! Perfect for when the family is watching something I don’t like but still want to be with them.
I watch a variety of shows – drama, crime, nature, international television shows; although, I avoid subtitles shows if I’m doing a more complicated project. Knitting while watching TV helps me feel more productive – I didn’t “waste” 2 hours watching Tv, I spent 2 hours knitting.
I just re-binged Downton Abbey in preparation gif the up coming new movie!!💕💕
I love watching old movies from the 40s – 60s when I’m knitting or crocheting. Or, listening to audiobooks. It’s interesting that whenever I pick up a finished project, even years later, it takes me back to the memory of whatever I was watching when I made it! Over the weekend I was knitting a shawl using your Pelagic fingering yarn (in color Seacoast) while watching a couple of movies with Judy Holliday. I love this yarn!!
Thank you for a beautiful giveaway! You are amazing.
During the day I’ll knit while enjoying the quiet around me. At night it’s whatever we’re binge watching at the time, mostly shows on BritBox. I also love knitting in the car listening to 60s Gold on SiriusXM.
I don’t watch/listen to anything while knitting/crocheting. I can’t split my attention, so I either quit knitting/crocheting to watch what is going on, or (music major, haha) I’ll get sucked into the music too much to pay attention to my hands, or to my hands to the point I can’t listen to the music.
Hello.
What a wonderful giveaway !!! I’m usually knitting away merrily while watching a movie. Any. Or at night while hubby watches Blue Jays baseball. Horse racing. Hockey. Or we just have some of the old jukebox music playing while out driving.
Something mindless, Forensic files has been one I have had on in the background lately.
I love to watch Outlander. I never seem to get tired of that series.
Usually listen to music or watch a movie – too many good ones to say which is favorite.
Many times I just enjoy the quiet and the project i am working on.
Just finished listening to Little Heathens by Mildred Armstrong Kalisz. It is a memoir set toward the end of the Great Depression. Listening now to The Endless Steppe by Ester Hawtzig. A child’s perspective about living through WW II. Thank you for your uplifting e-mails!

I watch knitting vlogs to encourage me while I am knitting
I love to listen to Audiobooks when I am crocheting, knitting, spinning or weaving. Right now I am obsessed with listening to The Vampire Knitting Club book series by Nancy Warren. The series is fun, quirky and to me relatable (minus the murder mystery and vampires…LOL) since I own my own wool shoppe. And unlike the main character I can knit & crochet, but I do have my struggles as I learn new things.
I really like listening to other people talk about their crafting on YouTube. Or I’ll listen to audiobooks I check out from my local library via the Libby app. I’m currently listening to the Handmaid’s Tale.
I love to watch/listen to medicine related shows or cooking shows while I crochet or knit.
I’m either binge watching Outlander, listening to LOTR on audio, or listening to my favorite movie soundtracks when I really want to zone out and zero in on the project.
I listen to Oyez, the oral arguments before the Supreme Court.
When I knit, my hubby usually has the TV on, so whatever he has on is what I listen to. The yarn colors are just beautiful!
I’m usually listening to true crime on YouTube.
I like listening to the birds in my yard and the calmness in my mind. No TV for me!
I can watch just about anything on TV or YouTube while knitting or crocheting. During the day I like to watch cricket streamed from India and at night it’s ice hockey. In between it is anything from Bridgerton to wildlife shows. Being retired is great as it gives me plenty of time to craft and watch great shows. I’m not a big fan of audio books but still like to read a chapter or so before bed. Thanks so much fro bringing us such wonderful yarn.
When crafting I enjoy knitting podcasts instead of movies. I don’t need to concentrate as much and there’s always inspiration.
As of yesterday I’ll be watching hockey playoffs while i knit, but the rest of the year my favorites are knitting podcasts.
I listen to music when I am crocheting. Usually 60’s or 70’s. Or country music.
My favorite authors are Patricia Cornwell and Tess Garretson.
Television is the NCIS series. We don’t stream anything because we live in rural Georgia. Our only internet is through satellite.
I prefer to listen to music while I knit, but I also enjoy audio books. Right now I am listening to The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah.
I knit while watching Young and the Restless. The May colorways are beyond gorgeous! If I win, I will share with my daughter and two knitting friends. There is enough for us four for sure!
Crocheting while watching the hallmark movie channels is the best!
Baseball and hockey (go Boston Red Sox and Bruins!) The games are long so it gives me lots of time to make progress on my projects, and they show replays of the key events. That way, if I happen to be looking down or counting stitches, I still get to see what happened.
I love audible books. Right now I’m listening to the Wheels of Time Series. I also enjoy listening to different podcasts such as Mike Rowe, history, Cass from Clutterbug is great too.
I usually like to listen… Music, what mother nature provides, tv as background noise etc
I prefer to listen to music while I’m crafting!
I love listening to music! Mostly songs from my youth – 70s and 80s!
I like watching familiar series like Doctor Who, Buffy, Angel or Supernatural as I knit.
This American Life on NPR!
Dear Chandi,
Oh, so generous soul. Thank you sincerely for sharing your enthusiasm and warmth; pattens and tutorials; and spreading joy to the world!

Many, many thanks!
What beautiful colors! I enjoy watching house renovation shows while crocheting in the evening (unless hubby gets there first, then it’s all about hunting 🤣).
I love watching old TV series while I’m knitting or crocheting. At the moment, I’m cycling through DVDs of ‘Star Trek: The Next Generation’, ‘Starsky and Hutch’, and ‘Red Dwarf’.
I’m usually watching a true crime series or a crime drama. Currently going between episodes of Bull and binge watching old episodes of City Confidential with my mom. BTW, I absolutely adore the sweet spirit with which you share your passion for all things yarn with us and have totally LOVED every skein of yarn I’ve ordered from EFA so far. Keep doing what you love…we love you for it!!
I love to knit and crochet to star trek shows, I’ve made it through tng and now I’m onto deep space nine!
I’ve even got my tng Tasha Yar sweater I wear which I made for a costume contest at world con last year. I even got a few awards for it! 😁
I like listening to true crime podcasts (like Criminal, Wine and Crime or Affirmative Murder) or audiobooks (mostly fantasy and sci-fi with the occasional nonfiction) while knitting or crocheting. Or watching random video essays on YouTube.
Rebecca 1940 and Laura 1944 are great to watch or just listen to while I knit. A great series to watch, regardless of whether you’re crafting or not, is the crime-solving detective Thin Man series which spanned the 1930s-1940s producing 6 films in total and starring William Powell & Myrna Loy as Mr. & Mrs. Nick Charles. They are a hoot, and the films are too!
Finally decided to get on board with Bridgeton on Netflix! Easy to watch while crocheting.
I enjoy audio books by John Grisham or Agatha Christie. If music is playing, mostly 60’s and 70’s, or country.
I am watching all the Marvel movies again in timeline order while knitting, of course. I also love to watch the Netflix series Witcher or listen to classical music. Listening to Star Trek novel audio books while knitting is also fun along with listening to knitting podcasts.
I’m usually listening to a local radio station, for example one it’s called radio “Sofia”.
If I’m watching TV I usually have on some sort of true crime series. If I’m listening, it’s a true crime podcast. I don’t have a favorite as I tend to watch and/or listen to them all.
I listen to JD Robb and Dean Koontz audiobooks while I crochet or knit. You have such beautiful colors in your yarn selections.
..
I usually don’t watch or listen to anything while I’m relaxing with my knitting and/or crocheting, but if I do watch something, it’s usually true crime! Thank you for another absolutely gorgeous yarn give-away! Your generosity is amazing!!
Chandi,
I am so excited to work with the different yarns, I wake up at 4:00 am to crochet for a couple of hours before going to work. The birds are chirping and I watch Murder She Wrote and catch up on the news. After work we watch 911, the Rookie or mystery movies -Colombo-Perry Mason
I have made the red Noel shawl and am completing my third Trade Winds Shawl. Each are unique and beautiful!!!
Have a beautiful, blessed and loving day!
I’m currently listening to John Boyne’s “The Heart’s Invisible Furies” or I’ll watch a period piece movie.
I’m also usually watching a YouTube podcast while knitting – that’s where I get my inspiration!
I knit and crochet watching whatever my husband is watching on TV, which is primarily sports and crime tv. When I’m alone I prefer to listen to music when I sew and craft.
HI! When at home I usually listen to psychological podcasts, true crime ( I really recommend “Coffehouse Crime”!) or audiobooks! Since I can’t decide between books and crocheing audiobooks come in handy! But what I truly love is to sit outside in the garden or by the lake (we have many of those where I live) and simply listen to what nature has to offer. I believe I am the happiest then. So I’m just waiting for summer to start!
The latest show I watched was My brilliant friend, it was soooo beautiful. It is based on Elena Ferrante’s book, highly recommend❤
I watch real life court trials on YouTube and sometimes on CourtTV. I also watch shows on Netflix.
Hello! I love watching PBS mysteries while I knit. A few of my favorites: Shetland, Vera, Annika… Thank you!
I’m a relatively new knitter, so I like to watch my fingers and hands knitting all those challenging stitches. Along with YouTube tutorials, the quiet of my office/knitting space is wonderful. Thank you for offering these amazing giveaways Chandi.
I don’t read books or listen to audiobook..instead i watched anime (action type) to lift up my mood..😂🙈
I knit whenever I have time to sit down, but if the tv is on my husband usually has the remote!
I often watch the accompanying tutorial on YouTube while I crochet, if one is available.

Love watching Somewhere in Time while knitting, it just keeps the rhythm of the needles.
First, just let me say how much I love the yarns in my recent purchases!! This is especially true of the Inflorescence Blossom Fingering. It is the perfect shade if a soft, but bright, yellow. As to what I watch/listen to while knitting or crocheting, I have a rather eclectic list. Anything of a mystery/suspense nature be it true crime, movies, or tv series whether American made or British. For laughs, it is Steve Harvey’s Family Feud. I love action movies, and hate chick flicks and reality or music shows. My guilty pleasure and fanatic viewings are Walking Dead and sequel Fear TWD.
Congratulations Margaret! I love to watch period dramas. Downton Abbey is my absolute favorite!
I love to stream a series while knitting. I generally go for “wholesome, feel good” shows but I also enjoy detective/mysteries. I think my favorite series is Call the Midwife, although I love almost all of the PBS shows.
Always so much beautiful yarn! Gorgeous. I like listening to classical music or watching news while I craft.
I like to watch “Shameless “. There’s a lot going on so I don’t usually get much crocheting done. That so is sooo Shameless that I can’t keep from watching and wondering who or what is going down the toilet next. I love anything William H. Macy is in and he is great in this series.
I knit constantly when I can! usually watch what ever series my husband and I are into .. right now it’s Ozark! just finished Outlander. When I knit at my desk during lunch i have been watching This is Us.. wish i could sit and knit all day everyday!
When I’m knitting, I revel in the peacefulness and time spent by myself doing one of my favourite activities! In a noisy household of six (all male except for me), quiet moments don’t happen very often so I take advantage of that whenever I can.
I will knit while the tv is on as well, but it’s usually to distract me from whatever the hubby is watching! Lol
I love listening to “To Every Man An Answer” on the web while I knit. I also enjoy spending the time in prayerful meditation, and listening to my Lord and Creator.

I like watching MidSomer Murders and crocheting on Saturday afternoons!
RomComs are my faves for knitting. Entertaining but don’t require the kind of attention that makes me drop stitches.
Also love to listen to Nora Roberts/JD Robb while knitting
I like listening to gospel music or watching my favorite soap while knitting.
I usually stream a show that I like, but not necessarily love, while knitting. I need to be okay missing something here and there in the show. Currently it’s Station 19.
I don’t have a favorite. Just whatever I happen to be listening to at the moment.
I love to watch anything while knitting. Mostly dramas. My kids are surprised that I can knit while watching TV. I don’t need to look at my knitting anymore. I can just watch the tv!
I watch You Tube and whatever streaming movie happens to to be on. I also read while I stitch. And I take it in the car with me for every spare moment I can grasp everywhere.
Beautiful colours! 🙂 I love listening to crime podcasts and I’m currently watching through all the seasons of Bones while I knit.
I like to watch the CBS news shows and whatever shows I’m binging at the time… I usually like to watch military shows because it reminds me of the time I spent in the service…
More gorgeous yarn in this month’s giveaway! It’s always so pretty! I love watching Harry Potter, superhero movies, or disaster movies. All things I don have to pay attention to if I need to attend to my crafting.
When I am knitting I watch Hallmark movies. I do not have to be glued to the tv that way.
Whether I am painting on a new painting ,knitting, or crocheting, it has to be Outlander Series !!! I have watched Seasons 1-4 over a dozen times now and 5-6 are about to catch up. I love the chemistry of all of the characters. There is a lot of history and love poured out in the show. The scenery is GORGEOUS!!! (PEOPLE AND LANDSCAPE!! HAHAHAHA) ……Claire (main character) wears a lot of knitted shawls and wraps. My daughter bought me a book with the patterns in it. I am a fairly new knitter but more experienced in crochet. Love your tutorials and the yarn you offer up is gorgeous. I am saving up for some . Thank you for all you do to help us learn – Phyllis White
I don’t watch or listen to anything specific when knitting – I knit wherever and whenever I can. If I am at home, there is always classical music playing on the radio.
Lucious yarn and so many great ideas for my next read. Thank you all! Right now I’m listening to Louise Penny’s Chief Inspector Gamache series, loving every one of them.
Another great selection of yarns and colors. You are amazing Chandi, keep up the great work and colors. Maybe one day I will get lucky…ya never know. Always wonderful to look at and to have hope! Thank you so much for doing this for us all.
I love to watch Hallmark movies!!!! Also enjoy the silence while knitting and crocheting (bought up 5 kids) ; )
Some of my favorite shows to watch while knitting/crocheting are Great British Baking Show, Schitt’s Creek, Ted Lasso.
Most often I am listening to/watching YouTube videos on knitting or quilting. The rest of the time I am knitting or crocheting while keeping hubby company as he watches shows he likes and I don’t necessarily. It gives me brownie points for keeping him company…chuckles…and I get some crafting done.
I love reading, watching, and listening to anything with a hunky highlander in it.
If I’m watching something while knitting or crocheting, it is usually videos my kids are watching for school (homeschooling my two high schoolers), or it is whatever my family decided to watch. When I can choose, I’m likely to be listening to an audiobook. Those vary a lot. I’m getting Death on the NIle by Agatha Christie at the bookmobile tomorrow, so that will be my go-to listen for awhile.
Hi Chandi,
On my crochet / knitting nights I love to watch ” Sweet Magnolia ” . Currently waiting for a next season…
Greetings from cold Minnesota.
If I’m watching something it’s probably Star Trek. If it’s listening it’s a mystery book most likely.
Right now I’m bouncing between Bridgerton, Gilmore Girls, and Outlander while I craft!
One of my favorite places to knit was at my girls’ dance studio or their piano teachers’ studios or even at our son’s football games. While they were taking their lessons I would knit their sweaters that they had picked out of my knitting magazines and work on them while visiting with the other mothers (or dads) who were waiting for their kids. Now my kids are grown and I knit at home listening to music from my favorite artists or messages from my favorite speakers. I also quilt. i used to take everything I was working on in a duffle bag and work on things while their sports or whatever was going on. I don’t do that so much now that I am older and am working on things for my grandkids’ graduations!! I also work on pet sweaters. But I have to pay closer attention to directions these days.
I usually just listen to music, indie is my favorite. I need to focus mainly on my project and the counting.
I have gotten into the Heartland series.
Thank you for the giveaway! I love to watch any romcom while knitting. The stories are all the same so I don’t have to watch very closely. Thanks again for your generosity. Happy Spring!!
I like to read James Patterson. I don’t read to much anymore. I’m to busy crocheting. For tv, I like watching old movies or tv series. I think for a favorite movie I would have to say Hunt For Red October.
Thanks again for the chance to win some beautiful yarn.
I usually listen to anything Jane Austen, because the books are great and the narrators typically have lovely calm voices.
Anything and everything… Currently rewatching The Good Place but I’ve also knit to countless Disney movies, Downton Abbey, Avatar: The Last Airbender, M.A.S.H., etc. If it’s a new show, I’ll try to watch it through once without distraction, but that hardly ever happens.
Normally I like to find whatever anime I can that is dubbed – anything with subtitles is a little too hard to follow while knitting. But recently I was watching Marvelous Ms. Maisel and I am always down for some good Parks and Rec.
I love to listen to Agatha Christie audiobooks while I’m crafting, especially if Hugh Fraser, Joan Hickson, or Rosemary Leach are the narrators.
Currently watching/listening to Stranger things again.
Hi Chandi!!!
I absolutely love your yarn. It’s so soft and beautiful. It’s the only yarn that I buy for my projects. While I’m knitting (which is everyday) I usually watch British detective mysteries. I hope that you have a wonderful day! I appreciate you❤
I love listening to books. Listen to The Hennia Artess. It’s a wonderful story. Then the follow up book does not disappoint.
I generally watch cooking or crafting shows while knitting ^_^
my favourite book series is all the Kryon books that started in the 1990’s. I have learned a lot from them and attended 2 workshops that were phenomenal :). I still listen to all the channeling Lee Carroll puts out on his website, brings me a calm healing energy.
Love you Chandi
Good morning! I’m usually listening to whatever the guys are watching on TV, my local radio station, or one of the YouTube channels I’m subscribed to while I crochet. I’m wanting to learn to knit too, it woyld be awesome to make some socks for myself! ☺
I like to binge crime drama. I just finished the NCIS episodes that are available on Netflix, now on to Criminal Minds!
I tend to read Harry Potter or Captain American fanfiction while I’m crafting.
I really enjoy watching sitcoms on Netflix and also listening to podcasts while knitting. My favourite podcast is 99% invisible, I highly recommend it!
The podcast Against All Odds is great listening while knitting. Keeps you entertained, but you can still concentrate on a difficult pattern.
I love watching the Great British Baking Show on Netflix – it relaxes me and I learn so much. Much hugs to you Chandi for keeping the inspirations coming. Thank you.
I put on an audio book almost every night and knit while listening. Got through all 14 books of The Wheel of Time! Now working my way through The Witcher Saga.
I’ll usually switch off between The Golden Girls and The Nanny when I am knitting or crocheting, never get tired of those shows. Other times I will put a crafting podcast on YouTube for some inspiration/motivation.
Usually unsolved mystery podcasts
Yes i ho
I binge watch shows I’ve seen so many times, I don’t even have to pay attention anymore! Mostly sci-fi shows like Firefly, the Stargate series, Warehouse 13, Eureka, and others like that. I don’t do audio books, but if my knitting is simple, I’ll read on my kindle while knitting. I have been known to watch Bailey Sarian’s videos on YouTube while knitting too!
If the project requires more focus, I prefer listening to music like the Singers and Swing channel on our cable network. If I’m working on an easy peasy project, I like the game show channel or an old detective series like Castle or Rizzoli & Isles.
I like to watch The Witcher on Netflix. While I crochet I like listening to soothing sounds like Rainfall or waterfall on YouTube.
Hello! I actually love to sit quietly in my sunroom where the light is perfect and do my knitting. Besides, all that counting requires too much brain power for me to stay on track with a movie!!
Currently I’m listening the the Dark Tower series by Stephen King while I knit or crochet. If I’m watch something it’s usually Vera or Shetland or Merlin.
I usually listen to music (classical or modern rock), but You Tube tutorials are a close second, followed by any of a myriad of tv shows I’ve dvr’d during the past season. Upset that Bull is ending it’s run, but all good things must end, no?
I love watching Frasier. I could watch that show forever and it still makes me laugh. The colours this month are absolutely gorgeous. You seem to have a wonderful eye for colour.
lol…
I like my crime stories…I can listen while I knit..
If I was to win, which would be amazing!!
I would probably lay it on my bed and sit squishing every single one while chuckling with excitement ❤❤❤
*Thank you for Fridays… love, love friday treats from Expressions
It’s audiobooks for me. My favourite series is the Amelia Peabody mystery series written by Elizabeth Michaels, and narrated by the amazing Barbara Rosenblatt. Fast paced and bitingly witty.
Congratulations Margaret! I like to listen to audio books or podcasts when I am crocheting or doing other types of handcrafts. I have enjoyed the podcast “Phoebe Reads a Mystery” which covers classic stories. In books, my favorites to listen to, if I want some I have already heard are by Patricia Briggs, I like the Mercy Thompson/Alpha & Omega series a lot.
I play Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them audiobook read by Eddie Redmayne. His voice is soothing.
I usually watch either the Great British Baking show or YouTube reactions to my favorite music… or yarn reviews, unboxings and/or tutorials 🙂
Right now we’re watching Annika (and I am knitting)
Historical fiction novels on Audible are usually my go-to…or a pod cast. Being a yet unskilled crocheter, I haven’t mastered counting and stitching while watching a movie, unless it is entirely made up of repeats to desired length (such as the granny shawl of Tercel bamboo yarn currently on my hook!). LOL I just finished The Indigo Girl-an fascinating story about the history of indigo dying in South Carolina, and the life of Elizabeth Lucas Pinckney. Amazing account of her life and struggles-I highly recommend! (And performed by my favorite Audible narrator-Saskia Maarleveld.) 🙂
Hi Chandi, I like to listen to church sermons or short devotions. Keeps my focus on loving and how to be more Christ like and praying blessings over all things I make whether Knit or crochet so the receiver will be blessed. Love your style. Love your colors. Thanks for the giveaway!
I am completely obsessed with the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon. This is my third time through listening to the series on Audible, and I hear something new every time. The most recent season has wrapped up on Starz and we are entering another “droughtlander” while they are filming the next season/book. I have tried to listen to other books over the past several months, but I just cannot sustain any interest in them. The wonderful world of eighteenth centurey Scotland and the American Colonies are where I live in my head when I’m not forced to live in this real world. P.S. They have wonderful knitted wear in the series! Lots of talk of spinning, dying, and waulking (fulling) the wool, as well as knitting stockings and other garments.
One of my favorite movies is My Fair Lady with Audrey Hepburn. The beautiful costumes and music is unbeatable. Hepburn is fantastic. Roman Holiday is her first film and she won an Oscar for best actress.
Give me reality TV!!!
I like zombie audiobooks & dystopian novels. Also old black & white movies incl Katharine Hepburn & Spencer Tracy.
Love to catch up on my Audible books – no changing the channel, don’t have to look at a screen. It’s a great way to get lots of knitting done while “reading”! Love Outlander; I’ve listened to all the books on Audible and watched the series on Starz. Just got the Outlander knitting book for a Retirement Party present!!
I’ve only started listening to audio books in the past year. Right now I’m enjoying anything by Lori Wick but I’ll soon be through everything she’s written and will be looking for something else. Charles Martin is a good author as well and very different from Lori. Sometimes I find a new author by looking up a narrator I like. Thanks for asking this question – I may find a new author from some of the other answers. I mostly lean towards Christian authors and return any books with swearing or anything occult. Happy listening!
Je participe
Hey Super
Mostly I watch/listen to BBC documentaries. Often ones I’ve seen before – I find it soothing. 😸
I sit and knit in the evenings and watch TV with my husband. We usually watch a British cozy mystery like Father Brown or Midsomer Murders. It doesn’t really matter what – we are together and I have yarn in my hands.
Every night I sit down to knit and watch TV from 8:00 until 12-1 in the morning. Yes, I’m a night owl. Each night I have different shows that I watch unless I’m streaming something and then I like to binge-watch the whole season which I can usually do in a day or so. I have a few projects on needles at all time so I switch up depending on how difficult it is or how much I’m into a show😜.Some nights I’m ripping out cause I messed up in the pattern and find it the next day.
Hi, beautiful yarn as always
I can’t watch anything while knitting and mostly listen to the radio or iTunes. Taylor swift, Bon jovi, imagine dragons, pink, lady a, lady Gaga, queen, the killers, bee gees
I’ve been listening to Harry Potter on Audio Book I’ve binged just about all of the true crime docs on all my platforms 😆
I enjoy watching Hallmark movies while knitting/crocheting. Peaceful and relaxing
I’ve been rewatching House, MD as a knit away! Love it!
I actually bounce around between audiobooks and tv shows. Right now I’m listening to the Dresden Files series and watching one of my favorite Animes : Inuyasha.
My favorite pastime while knitting or crocheting is watching Bribox series especially Hercule Poirot or Miss Marple. For some reason, the stories, characters and scenery ae very soothing which leads to calm stitches!!
I usually put on a movie I’ve watched before while knitting. I’m less tempted to watch the movie and can enjoy knitting.
A&E’s Pride and Prejudice if I have a stack of ironing to do, otherwise it’s just whatever I’ve got going that I’ll watch or listen to while knitting. My most recent project has been work on alongside The Witcher and Violet Evergarden.
I usually listen to you tube videos by Lorie Ladd or Kyle Cease, or watch NCIS New Orleans, unless it´s a complicated pattern then I prefer silence.
Has to be Friends!
I usually have the TV on HGTV but don’t really watch anything. It’s mostly on for background noise. Sometimes I will put music on but again, I don’t really listen. I’m too busy focusing on the project.
Good knitting shows for me are Naked and Afraid, for more complicated/lace items; various shows and documentaries on CuriosityStream for most knitting; Love Boat is good; and Creepy Pasta podcasts are good listening. I also watch Servant while knitting, or shows like Originals/Vampire Diaries, where there is a good deal of violence or action on screen so knitting allows me to watch these types of shows without getting bothered or overwhelmed.
Knitting takes place in the evening…family time. Family members have control over the television shows viewed. If not, I find a craft show.
Actually, I prefer to have ‘silence’ while I am knitting or crocheting because they are truly a meditation for me. I can also hear the sounds of nature such as the birds singing or chickens after laying eggs on my porch (!!!!!!) or the ducks as they do their parade up from the creek. It calms my heart and my mind, and anchors me in peace.
I like watching Flea Market Flip while knitting/crocheting. I also watch YouTube videos.
One of my favorite things to watch or listen to while I’m crafting is probably pride and prejudice 2005
If it’s an intricate pattern, I prefer instrumental music, usually soft jazz. Otherwise, I am usually knitting while watching The Midnight Diner, Lavinia Stamps videos, Good Karma Hospital, to name a few. Thank you, Chandi, for the opportunity to win some of your gorgeous fiber.
As I am new to crochet and need my eyes on the project, I love listening to CBC radio 1 while I crochet., otherwise just the sounds of nature.
Georgeous colours – these are some of my favourite hues.
Ohhh favorite huh? Mine would have to be the Lord of the Rings! It’s my feeling of comfort, especially when the music starts!
One day I will be a winner for these give aways! Then I can have a marathon and not worry about running out of yarn while Frodo leaves the Shire!
It depends on the complexity of the project. I always listen to classical music. If the project doesn’t require intense concentration, I love to watch British mysteries.
I love watching any of the Marvel movies or series on Disney+ while knitting.
I love rewatching movies or series that I’ve already seen, or newer shows/movies that aren’t action movies where I have to concentrate on details. I recently finished “Inventing Anna” on Netflix, and have a couple of HBO series queued up next.
Outlander! Except I have to divert my attention to catch the details of the clothes, etc.
That’s just what I said! Waiting to watch the new season while laid up during post op recovery.
I watch a lot of Dateline when I’m knitting. ! Pretty sure my true calling is detective work now haha. It’s easy to mostly listen to and glance up occasionally…perfect when you need to keep your eyes on the pattern!
I crochet along with YouTube on new projects, but if I don’t need to watch instructions, I watch BEAT BOBBY FLAY or CHOPPED on Food Network. Love this month’s yarn giveaway colors!!!
Hi Chandi, I have a lot of favorites as far as authors go and on tv, I watch reruns of Friends every day. Then I go to hulu and binge on all the very old series that bring back a lot of memories.
I like to watch something I’ve already seen – so that I don’t get distracted from my crochet. So far this year, I’ve rewatched ER, Grey’s Anatomy and The Crown, to name a few!
I re-watch earlier seasons of 911: Lone Star in the background while I crochet and knit.
I like to watch Supernatural or Buffy The Vampire Slayer while I crochet.
Always have my Golden Girls on while crafting!
I have to say anything true crime or Once Upon a Time are definitely my go to.
I love true crime documentaries….thanks for the opportunity to win such beautiful yarn!
I usually wind up watching something about true crime. I love watching the science behind how they catch criminals.
Hi. I love Faye Kellerman books, any mystery shows and o course u-,tube on knittn
I love Agatha Christie on TV while I crochet, or Rom-Com movies, just to relax and crochet.
I enjoy watching reruns of show like Monk or old movies like musicals.
I like to watch pro wrestling, cartoons that I have seen before, or sometimes I just throw on a Spotify playlist.
I love to watch Expedition Unknown – I’m fascinated by the history, culture and places. : )
I enjoy Kim komando podcasts. Great digital infor.ation
I’m re-watching shows like Greys Anatomy, Friends, and The Office! I love that I don’t need to watch as I knit and know all of the story lines
Hi Chandi, I am a 70 year old professional philatelist and have been crocheting in my leisure time, off and on, since I was 8 or 10. My great-aunt taught my sister and me at the same time. I am probably unusual in that I like to watch sports programming while I crochet; especially NASCAR racing and professional football. The commentators make good background noise and you can always tell when to look up and see what happened by the excitement in their voices and/or by the crowd noise. With lots of instant replays, I never miss a good wreck, a good play, or a stitch.
I can knit to anything, but I tend to enjoy the History Channel or a good movie on netficks. The tv show doesn’t matter as much as what i am knitting.
I watch various YouTube topics and my husband and I will watch things we both enjoy, mostly on Netflix. We like This is Us and the Good Doctor.
Thanks for all that you do. i love seeing your posts I love seeing your yarn and your patterns. Some how it seems that they arrive in my e-mail at just the right time when i need some inspiration and then there you are like majic. So thanks again for all you do. I for one love seeing it .
If I have something on in the background it’s usually a cooking or home improvement show.
Right now I’m re-watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel.
Hi all!
Thanks Chandi for all the words of encouragement you send in your emails! I often pass things along to friends. I love the Outlander series, but can’t watch while knitting/crocheting/spinning- too much is going on! But I will listen to the books on ebooks, or any new book I’ve seen out that sounds good.
I do tend to watch something I have already seen so I can follow along easily. I love anything British like Doc Martin. I did just binge Ozark though, which was quite something. Depends on my mood. One thing is for sure, I really can’t watch anything without knitting.
I knit and crochet whenever we watch anything — right now it’s Outer Range and reruns of Golden Girls. I also love listening to old time radio program podcasts while I craft.
Wow another beautiful set! I listen to soft jazz on utube if need to concentrate on knitting… otherwise good ol’ Father Brown is a great backup! Or in the car while a passenger on familiar route!
I like to craft along with anything that I don’t have to pay a lot of attention to. Old familiar shows/movies are great. Nothing with subtitles!
Field of Dreams is one of several favorite movies I favor. The list is endless from Tearjerkers to Save the End of the World movies.. TV – Discovery+, I learn so much from so many shows, whether crafting, gardening, building, decorating, places I’ll never see in this lifetime. I was particularly touched by Homegrown, and the story of Floret Flower Farm. My own garden is very small, but I’m working on it.
I love the Outlander series on Stars and have the books as well. I was introduced to the first book back in 1998 and have been a fan ever since! I love how they have brought the characters and storyline to life. I’m inspired by some of the knits shown in the series as well.
I like to watch anything with lots of episodes so that I know the characters well enough to be familiar with their expressions and intonations. That way, I can look down at my project o occasionally without missing anything!
I’ve been listening to a lot of Adian Tchaikovsky’s audiobooks while I craft lately. Children of Time is definitely a must-read for anyone who’s even a little into scifi.
Oh, these yarns are gorgeous!!!
Nothing that needs to be “watched”—no baking shows (you have to watch how they put those things together!), no “visual” movies that I haven’t seen before (“talking” movies are OK), nothing that makes me “feel” (you can’t crochet well while crying all through “This Is Us”). So, things I’ve seen before and things that are heavy on the talking are my go-to. 🙂
My favorites are Merlin, Smallville, and almost any adaptation of classic fairy tale stories. Fantasy and fantastic yarn!
I don’t have a favorite TV show right now. I just watch movies and TV shows my kids or my husband pick, while I am knitting. I enjoyed watching Killing Eve and feel sad that it finally ended.
I like a lot of TV series, eighter US series or French Canadian ones. We have some very good ones in French. We use to mostly have translated ones from the USA but about 25 years ago, Canadian producers started to make French original series. Some of them are even translated in many languages or sold to be redone in France or the USA! I understand and speak 2 languages so I have a lot of choices in books, movies or Tv. Series.
My latest favorite ones are : Casual, Flaked, Appellez mon agent (France) , Marseilles (France), District 31 (Québec), Lachez-prise (Québec), L’oeil du Cyclone (Québec.) Survivre à ses enfants (Québec), The Crown (England).
I just started binge watching Dalton Abby on Netflix. Yes, I know, I know, I’m so behind the times! BUT WHAT A GREAT SERIES for crocheting to. Great question. Thanks for such a generous giveaway. All that luster is luscious!
I usually knit in the car waiting for my boyfriend to go to our leather shop in the mornings. We just finished watching “The Last Kingdom”.
I like to watch any show on HGTV while I’m knitting or crocheting. Anything creative interests me.
While I knit I like to listen to true crime podcasts (like Murder, Mystery and Makeup) and Star Talk Radio (with Neil deGrasse Tyson). I also like to listen to mystery fiction on Audible (usually “cozy” mysteries set in England).
I find it hard to watch movies or TV shows while knitting, unless it’s something I’m OK with basically just listening to and only occasionally looking at.
I love watching most things while crocheting or knitting. That being said, my favorite is the BBC mini series of Pride and Prejudice with Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle
I watch a variety of things but it has to be something I’ve already watched, some of my favourites are A Discovery of Witches, any of the Marvel series, StarWars, documentaries
The only TV we ever watch is American football. I grew up in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and am a rabid Packer fan! From August until the Super Bowl in February, we watch every game on every channel and sometimes on Amazon Prime, depending on who is broadcasting what. The rest of the year, the TV is silent. As a result, those are my most prolific crochet months. From March through July, I prefer to crochet in silence…in front of a crackling fire in our woodstove when it’s cold and outside on the porch when it’s warm enough. Bird song is a wonderful accompaniment to crochet.
Of course I’v been obsessed with Outlander & Ozark. Very different shows but love them both.🥰🥰🥰
You can usually find me watching/listening to police dramas, Chicago night on Wednesdays, and the 911 shows.
Wow, this yarn has such delicious colors. It’s my absolute favorite yarn to use for handmades because of the final mottled look.
Note: I’m having so much fun going thru these comments, Chandi. I’ve been listing the good movie, book and podcast titles to listen to while knitting/crocheting. Such great suggestions! Thank you, everyone!!
I just love watching the old BBC sitcoms
I’ll watch anything on discovery or love listening to a great mystery on audible
I love Rosemary & Thyme to craft by! So many crafts and shows, too little time! 🙂
Thanks for the giveaway Chandi! Love all that you do!
I watch True Blood series on HBO and Twilight movies and Ghost Adventures plus other too…
Right now my favorite genre to listen to while I crochet is cozy mysteries. My favorite is the Beyond the Page Bookstore Mysteries by Lauren Elliott. Books by C.J. Archer are pretty good, and Carlene O’Connor has some Irish mysteries I love.
I love Dowton Abbey and am a Hallmark junkie. Your yarns are beautiful. Thanks for opportunity. Very generous.
I love to watch baseball. NY Yankees while I work my project
I watch YouTube while crafting. I’m sitting at my desk with my feet up on a footstool under my desk and the laptop open in front of me! Beautiful collection of yarns as always!!
I dont’t have a favorite show. I watch whatever I feel like, but only if it’s an easy patter. If it’s a complicated one I’d rather listen to some music.
I like to watch Gardeners World series while knitting, especially in the winter! It is such a peaceful, serene pace and of course, the gardening advice and scenery alone are worth watching. Thank you for the generous yarn giveaway offered this month Chandi!
I like to listen to classical piano sometimes, and other times my Katrina Ubell coaching podcast. Most of the time, I just like the peace and quiet and don’t listen to anything.
My husband is a big Star Trek fan, so watching that while knitting is a familiar sight!
Hi Chandi😊 Documentaries of any sort is my go to when crafting. Feeling that I do 2 things at the same time: learning about interesting subjects, science, at the same time as i end up with a new pair of socks or whatever project I’m working on at the time😊
I love listening to true crime and history podcasts when I’m crocheting, I get through hundreds!
I like watching/listening to true crime and history documentaries while crafting. Lately that’s been “Great British Castles” on Netflix. The YouTube channel History Hit has some good content, too.
I have made literally hundreds of chemo hats and dozens of baby blankets. My favorite series was Grace and Frankie! I watch a lot of Law and Oder, NCIS, FBI, and of course This is Us. If I won the lottery I would use EFA exclusively!
I love to listen to Terry Pratchett’s Discworld books while I knit!
I am a big reader but can’t read and knit so am left with audiobooks. I just started Jan Burke’s “Goodnight, Irene.”
My favorites to watch on NETFLIX while knitting are: The Crown, Bridgerton, Heartland and The Good With
I love to watch Murder, She Wrote or to listen to AudioBooks (just now, it’s the Yarn Retreat Mysteries). Thanks for the giveaway opportunity. 🙂
Lately, I have been watching Bridgerton season 2. I can hardly believe I’ve finished it twice already. I re-watched season 1 as well. I love the plot but the CLOTHES! I wish they had some fiber art items and better yet have the characters making them. So far I have only seen the mother embroider and embroidery was mentioned by one of the daughters. Where’s knitting, where’s crocheting. Do only the cottage folks do that? Where does all that lace come from? It is so luscious to see the beautiful stuff on the dresses.
I love to watch Outlander while I’m knitting!
I have lived in the US for years now but originally from Scotland UK and still miss my British TV shows so I love to have any British period piece series on when I’m knitting like Downton Abbey, Britbox or Acorn TV British movies and series is the best knitting companion for me. Love all the beautiful colors in this yarn giveaway! 🇺🇸🇬🇧🏴🥰
While I knit or crochet I like to watch crime series or simply go outside catch some sun and listen to some good r&b jazz!
I love to listen to Outlander on Audible! Currently, I just started The Hathaways Series by Lisa Kleypas
I love my British TV. Currently catching up on Derry Girls. Such a hoot!
My favorite way to spend a long evening after a long day is relaxing on my recliner with one or two cats close by, napping or play-fighting, and me knitting while watching anything related to True Crime, be it dark drama (the darker the better) or documentary. And there’s always drama BASED ON True Crime. Heaven on earth.
My favorites are British murder mysteries like Midsomer Murders and Father Brown.
Hi Chandi and Expression Fiber Arts Team! Congrats to the April winner! 🧶 My husband and I started binge watching Ozark Season 1 . We heard a lot of hype on it and the season finale is coming up soon. So getting my popcorn and snacks ready (also my pillow in case I can’t keep up). 😁 Have a fabulous May month everyone and stay safe. 🪴🌺
I just catch up on my shows like 911 or true crime or comedies like call me Kat. If it’s something that I really need to pay attention to the pattern then I’ll put something on that I don’t necessarily have to keep my eye on like American Idol or the Masked singer.
I have HGTV on while I knit. I might hear a household tip during the show and I can watch the reveal of the final staging. I mostly have to concentrate while I kknit !!!
I usually rotate between shows that I know my husband would not want to watch. Currently I am watching Outlander, Call The Midwife, and Is it Cake?.
My favorite movie is Selena. I went to the theaters to watch it not too long ago. She was truly an icon. May she rest in peace.🙌🙏
I don’t watch much tv….but it’s always on for noise as I live alone. The only think I really pay attention to is game shows and Hockey games!!! GO LEAFS GO!!!
Hi Chandi! Love your color palette and the shimmery look of your yarn. I also love your greeting us “Hello Beautiful!
Indeed I feel special! I like to catch up on knitting podcasts as well as shows/movies that we tape – most of which have been mentioned!
Looking forward to seeing the patterns and yarns you feature!
Lila
I love watching mysteries, especially British mysteries. Father Brown, Sherlock, and Marple are my favorites.
I often listen to podcasts about the environment. My favorite at the moment is ‘What About Water’.
Summer
Anne of Green Gables, Jane Austen, Lord of the Rings books or movies! Also enjoy Star Trek or Mash 🙂
Often while I’m crocheting it’s at work during nap time of the six two-year olds in my care. When at home I like to watch Midsommer Murders.
One of my favorites is Schitt’s Creek. I’ll also watch the Birdcage whenever it’s on.
I’m a True Crime follower on YouTube but also enjoy listening to thrillers, mystery and crime audiobooks.
I usually watch something on Turner Classic Movies when Crocheting or Spinning, unless I’m with friends, then who needs anything else……, maybe coffee or tea😉, or if in the evening, a glass of wine is nice too😊
I watch a lot of knitting vlogs on YouTube. It’s always exciting to see the indie yarns and projects.
I usually just watch whatever I need to catch up on on YouTube. Sometimes I’ll watch a show, but I often start to miscount stitches because I get too sucked in. Lol
Star Trek – any show/movie
I’m one of those people who get so caught up in my crafting I don’t hear the books, or even music. I just zen out to the stitches
I like to listen to Forensic Files on HLN while knitting/crocheting. Somehow, I don’t have nightmares.
I watch a lot of YouTube like Roots and Refuge or EpicGarden since my other hobby is gardening!
Wow….so many! I’m currently enjoying Murder, She Wrote, but I love pretty much any period drama (Downton Abbey, Endeavor, Granchester) and have a real fondness for Castle and White Colar.
Let’s see, I usually watch my favourite BookTubers, crafters and listen to audio books such as The Enchanted April by Elizabeth Von Arnim. I also like
to watch The Mandalorian, Boba Fett and Loki with my oldest son. 😊. Good luck everyone!!! And thank you so much, Chandi, for a chance to win some gorgeous yarn. 😊💕
I don’t watch anything while crafting as I lose my place and have to fix mistakes. 😯
I may listen to music if I’m not counting stitches.
One of my favorite authors is Agatha Christie and I enjoy watching Inspector Poirot movies while crocheting. I also like to watch Vera.
Oh so many shows…Friends…Gilmore Girls, Man from High Castle, GOT and on and on… Audiobooks – Anne Bishop, Ann McCaffrey, Kay Hooper, Nora Roberts
Sound of music! It’s a classic. ❤️
Like many others, I don’t watch while I knit or crochet. I usually make mistakes when that happens. But, if I do watch while yarning it’s likely sports with my husband.
I like to put on a good podcast like Planet Money or Freakonomics while I am knitting.
I listen to a variety of audiobooks mainly the Jana DeLeon Miss Fortune series and Patricia Briggs.
I’ve loved listening to MakeGoodPodcast, Spirits Podcast, Woven Road podcast, or the books “Women’s Work” and “The Fabric of Civilization” which are about fiber history.
I don’t usually watch tv if I do it’s something paranormal. I’ll listen to music; most any music…..except hip hop/rap/heavy metal. Unless the hubs is home, then it’s whatever he turns on.
I love watching BBC mysteries and cop shows when I knit or crochet.
I love British period dramas. Watch my Dickens films over and over, as well as Jane Austen stories. But I just discovered “Call the Midwife” based on the writing of a lady who experienced it. Amazing stories!
It definitely depends on what I am working on! If it’s a complicated pattern of stitches or I’m just starting something, I’ll listen to one of my peaceful playlists, but if I’m able to pay attention to what’s on the tv or on my audio book more, then I usually watch or listen to mystery shows or forensic shows.
I’m addicted to podcasts! That’s what I’m listening to, most of the time. Lately it’s 10 Percent Happier.
I love listening to podcasts and watching shows while I’m knitting. Right now I’m listening to Strict Scrutiny which is about the Supreme Court and watching Golden Girls!
enjoyed the colors. I like old movies while crocheting or knitting. movies like the Ten Commandments or Paul, Noah. something like that.
I’ve found that I really enjoy watching shows like Elementary or 9-1-1 while I knit something repetitive. For anything that takes some focus, I usually put on a show I’ve already seen a million times, typically relating to Star Wars lol
I love to watch Sherlock Holmes and mystery movies. Also I love classic movies and music.
Hi Chandi I don’t have a movie or audio book however i love to listen to Pandora music or Sirius XM while i crochet. I love listening to Jazz mixes, Black Violin & Whitney Houston
Any Kristin Hannah, Lynn Austen or Charles Martin book is a favorite while knitting or crocheting. Oh, can’t forget David Baldacci!!
This may be somewhat ‘woo-woo’ for most, but I have started listening to the ‘channeling’ series (fascinating!) on getwisdom.com when crocheting. On TV, I like to watch British dramas like Downton Abbey – recently watched ‘Emma’ and crocheted up a storm doing so…..
My favorite movie is Practical Magic and I watch it occasionally Usually while knitting or crocheting I just watch you tube videos about yarn. 😍
Hi , I love listening to audiobooks while knitting, Some of my favourite authors are Kristin Hannah, Kate Morton, Harlan Corben & Jodi Picoult 🙂
Thank you for yet another wonderful and generous giveaway! My husband usually sits with me so I just let him watch what he likes – he follows cooking shows or comedie series (favorites are Parks and Rec or The Office). Also one of our favorite shows (had a lot of dialogue so it’s good for crafting I think) is a Canadian mystery show called Murdoch Mysteries.
I really appreciate your tutorials. You have a positive attitude and I need that. I am moved by the quality of your products and designs. I listen to soothing blues, or I also open my windows and just enjoy the peaceful sounds of the birds. I am 71 and working with fine yarn is my therapy. I am so glad I found you!
My go to audiobook that I keep coming back to time and time again is The Martian by Andy Weir. Not only is it a great book, but it’s really good for getting motivated to fix any mistakes and face any challenges that one faces during a new project.
It really depends on the day and how I’m feeling. But I like to listen to Linda Ronstadt, Dolly Parton’s music and I love Star Wars audiobooks (listening to Thrawn Ascendancy: Lesser Evil right now). But I also like watching Pride and Prejudice (2005) and Hallmark movies (during the holidays). Right now, I’m watching Star Wars. May the Fourth be with you!
Hi Chandi, during the day I like to watch documentaries or cartoons like Family Guy depending on my mood. At night I’m into something more soapy like Downton Abby or sth exiting like Noah Hawleys Legion or Fargo.
I usually listen to jazz on https://www.knkx.org/ , but have you watched Our Flag Means Death?
Best Pirates evah!!
I love to watch Hudson and Rex or listen to Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander books
My favorite thing to do is listen to audiobooks because I have to look at my knitting. I love mystery books like cozy mysteries, but I also listen sometimes to Dean Koontz which is pretty nerve wracking.
I like to watch, or really listen to, Downton Abbey on Netflix. I already know the whole story so I don’t have to look at the screen!
I ❤️ Korean dramas.
I love watching knitting podcasts on YouTube while knitting!
Congrats to Margaret for April’s win! 🙂 When I am crocheting or knitting, there are many times where I don’t have anything on at all. However, when I do have something on, it’s usually music. I have a very eclectic music collection, so I tend to mix it up depending on my mood for the day. I have a “Mish Mashed Favorites” playlist that I listen to a LOT! But, I also enjoy Smooth Jazz, New Age, Pop, Country, “Glam Metal,” Classical, etc. The music helps me get into a rhythm that helps me stay focused. I make fewer “mistakes” that way. 🙂
Hi Chandi,
I primarily listen to audiobooks when crafting. I listen to Kristen Ashley, Patricia Briggs, Laurell K. Hamilton, Deborah Harkness, Jim Butcher, Jennifer Armentrout. I need to finish out The Last Kingdom on netflix, and watch Bridgerton Season 2 which I’ll binge.
I like crime procedurals like Criminal Minds or Law & Order
My favorite veg out and craft movie has to be the 1999 cinema classic The Mummy
Podcasts are always a great go to when crafting on the go. I like storytelling types like Welcome to Nightvale and The Magnus Archives
I watch Stargate over and over while I craft!!!
I’m not too picky what I watch while crocheting, knitting, or weaving, but if I had to pick. It’s horror movies all day!
I binge watch series such as The Walking Dead or Outlander. The newest season of Stranger Things will be out soon and I’m sure I will have a project going for watching that!
I just discovered I just like to sit outside and listen to nature sounds while working on my knitting or crochet, like the birds and so.
I’ll have to try that now that the weather is because more desirable… sounds like great stress relief.
I like to watch things that I have seen before so that I can keep my main focus on my knitting…..classic black and white movies are my faves, Jane Austen dramatizations, Agatha Christie adaptations….I love British shows!
I tend to binge-watch (listen) to comedy tv series while crafting. I prefer to not have to pay too much attention to the show that way I get more finished.
I loved watching MAFS Australia and Bridgerton but I absolutely LOVE Derry Girls. I’m biased because I’m a Derry Girl, you might need the sub titles though cause it’s wile craic. ☺
I currently just watch podcasts or YouTube videos; I’ve never really been a tv watcher.
I love to watch reality TV shows while crafting because I don’t really need to pay attention LOL But they aren’t my favorite.
When I knit, I mostly like to watch sci-fi programs. I’m a Trekkie so I’ll watch old and new Star Trek series. I do watch comedy series and some NCIS old and new episodes.
Currently watching Van Helsing! Not very peaceful, but addicting.
I love audiobooks while working whether crochet or knit. Currently, working a shawl with your lovely alpaca yarn from my stash… I can not wait to finish remodeling and sale my old house so I can replenish my little supply. But will continue enjoying every fiber until then. Honestly you bring such beauty into and out of the world around us I truly appreciate your service.
My family usually puts on a movie and I cuddle up with my knitting or crocheting.
I just finished watching “Call the Midwife” through and have started re-watching Downton Abbey. I prefer to watch things that I’ve already seen when I’m knitting but for audiobooks I can listen to anything.
I like to watch shows with veterinarians and zoos while I crochet.
Generally knitting podcasts!
My favorite is to listen to music but we’ve been watching a marathon of The Mentalist every night, lately.
Good evening. I enjoy listening to true crime podcasts while knitting. Check out True Crime and Knit, Generation Why and Anatomy of Murder.
I don’t watch many shows but listen a bit when hubby is watching tv. I’m usually watching YT videos from my notifications.
I’m watching baseball!
I LOVE the Chosen. It’s a great show and I love watching and crochet.
I love knitting along to the shows, The Great British Bake Off, or America’s Test Kitchen, Cook’s Country, or New Scandinavian Cooking. I just love watching people being creative in the kitchen while I knit. It’s my low-key weekend retreat!
Hi Chandi, thank you so much for your generous and beautiful giveaway! I usually listen to podcasts or webinars where I learn about various topics; Astrology, Spirituality, gardening, politics, health, travel, etc. I also like to knit while commuting or traveling if I am lucky enough to be a passenger rather than the driver!
I like to listen to true crime or Let’s Plays on Youtube! It can’t be anything i need to pay too much attention to like an audio book or else i wont pay attention to either, and not know whats happening in the story and have a tangled mess of yarn to deal with!
I like to watch comedies from the ’30s and ’40s while I knit. Pretty much anything with William Powell or Myrna Loy keeps my needles moving happily.
My go-to crochet movies are the After series, the Twilight series, A Frosty Affair, and I also watch/listen to a lot of old made for tv movies. Basically any movie that I’ve seen a million times so I don’t have to concentrate on the plot.
I love watching knitting podcasts while I knit as well as listening to the occasional audiobook. Listening to Little Women at the moment.
I agree with Sandy’s comment. I too love to watch Pride and Prejudice with Colin Firth as Mr Darcy. The series interprets Jane Austen’s book perfectly and I know the plot so well.
I cannot watch any movie or listen to any audio-book while I’m knitting or crocheting. It distracts me and I have trouble with my eyes, as I cannot focus very well on both near (for crafting) and far (for TV watching). I let the TV on for background noise, but I’m not usually watching. I like Bones, Miss Marple, Downton Abbey …
If I am crafting, I will put on a sitcom I’ve already seen before, like Two and a Half Men or Mom. I get too involved in anything else to pay attention to what I am doing (usually knitting) and lately I’ve been working on projects that are a bit more challenging to me and require my attention on what my hands are doing. Or…and I know this was not part of the question, I’ll put on some music! Bruce Springsteen is my all-time favorite.
Every time I start a new project I restart the Nightwalkers series by Jacquelyn Frank on Audible. They are NSFW, BUT the story, her characters, you fall in love with them and become addicted to know what happens next! I very highly recommend her books!
Don’t currently watch or listen while crafting, but plan to try audio books soon
Chandi-
I like to watch true crime shows like Dateline or 20/20 as I crochet or try to knit (I’m just now learning to knit). My husband dies not understand how I can do both at the same time. I love mystery fiction to read as well. It’s fun to try to solve before the last page 😊
Did you know that YouTube has ‘bird songs’. They play in the background while I work. If mindless stitching (or if I am *really* comfortable with the pattern) then whatever series I am watching. Currently I started season 1 of FBI. If more complicated then bird songs it is! I think I will take a look at some of the recommended audio books. I have never done that.
My fav bird songs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M0AWBnAv8VE&ab_channel=%D0%9C%D1%83%D0%B7%D1%8B%D0%BA%D0%B0%D0%96%D0%B8%D0%B2%D0%BE%D0%B9%D0%9F%D1%80%D0%B8%D1%80%D0%BE%D0%B4%D1%8B
Thank you for the give away!
I like all kinds of movies and series, so I don’t have a favorite. But I find the EASIEST to “watch” while crafting are documentaries because most everything is a reenactment with verbal descriptions, so I don’t have to worry about “missing” out on an important part because I’m staring at my work or counting stitches. Also, they generally don’t invoke emotional responses, so paying full attention or stopping early (because I’ve reached a good stopping point in my work) doesn’t change whether or not I enjoyed the show. But in general, I love a good mystery!
We like westerns at our house. They come with everything, mystery, suspense, action and even a love story mixed in. My favorite is an oldie called ‘Hondo.’
Our favorites are westerns. They give a little bit of everything from action, mystery, and romance. My personal favorite is an oldie called ‘Hondo’.
I’m all about the audiobook while knitting/crocheting. Currently listening to Apples Never Fall. 🙂
I love a good comfort show/rewatch with crafting. Right now, the Umbrella Academy, in anticipation of season 3 soon.
I like to watch sitcoms, any 30 minute show where I don’t have to pay too much attention to what’s going on.
I love audio books when I knit. Harder for me to watch tv and not make mistakes. 😉
I like listening to music while I knit. If I watch anything, I have to unknit!
I enjoy watching NCIS, Bones, or the original Stargate SG-1 series if it’s an easy pattern, but harder patterns it’s usually something like the Incredible Dr. Pol.
I don’t watch movies or series, or listen to audiobooks while crafting. I do, however, watch PBS documentaries and news programs in the evenings while knitting.
For me it is murder mystery audio books
Hey Chandi 🙂
I cant help myself, I just keep going back to Harry Potter 😂. It’s a classic to me. If it’s not that I stick w cartoons 😂😂.
Thanks for all you do
Lisa
My favorite show to watch while knitting is Charmed. I love watching old shows, I also like hearing knitting podcasts! So relaxing.
I like to watch 90 day fiance while crafting, because it is usually so awkward that I can’t just watch it, I have to do something at the same time. Knitting and cross stitching calms me down what I really need while watching that TV show.
I love listening to audiobooks and podcasts while I work. I listen to all sorts of things—fiction books, parenting books, books on self-development and mindfulness, podcasts to help me in my career and spiritual journeys. I’m also finishing my degree so I’m usually making something while I listen to my professors too 👀
Currently, The Hiding Place. Such a great book! I highly recommend it! 😉 I also enjoy Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings and the Narnia series. We have some audio dramas of the Narnia books that my kids also enjoy. My 8 year old daughter will sit by me and crochet (she’s just learning) as we listen. My boys will finger knit for a bit before running off to play. 🙂
Your yarns and patterns are always so beautiful. You are also a great teacher. I find your YouTube videos really helpful! Thanks!
I love to watch a knitting podcast called “fiber tales”
I have been enjoying American Idol
Thank you for the giveaway. I love your generosity and how you are always so positive and UP! I listen to sermons by Dr. Tony Evans and Steven Furtick, and J.D. Greear. I also listen to Brighteon and Mike Adams, the Health Ranger podcasts.
Lately I’ve been watching Yellowstone and the finale of Ozark, while knitting. Most of the first season of Bridgerton was watched while knitting, bit I usually ended up watching more than knitting. Lol.
I watch whatever Netflix series I’m currently obsessed with (!) Or listen to a true crime podcast. Love the giveaway. Thanks for a chance to win.
Currently watching outlander and I am hooked!
I like to have YouTube on while I crochet. Also just fluffy romance movies on Netflix. Beautiful yarn, btw.
Beautiful yarns, lovely
I’ve been listening to audiobook versions of Jane Austen’s books. Downton Abbey is a favourite, too, but I’ll put cooking shows on if I’m not in the mood for anything specific.
The Golden Girls, of course!
Anything by Jane Austen – audiobooks or video adaptations.
Hmm, crafting would be Lord of the Rings, while crocheting- tv series (Great British Bake-off is my current favorite). Thank you so much for offering these give aways!!! Always exciting to think of winning all that beautiful yarn!!!
Hi Chandi, true crime is my go to. But honestly anything will do as long as I don’t have to look up from my work that often, so no subtitles. Lol
Hi guys!
I guess it depends on the day. Sometimes it’s YouTube, sometimes it’s a new series on a streaming platform, sometimes it’s a true crime audiobook. I also love podcasts!
Don’t laugh – I’m a substitute teacher in a public high school, and I get most of my knitting/crocheting done while watching teenagers – it’s actually amazing how well things work out – I get a lot of knitting done, I can still keep an eye on them to keep them on track and relatively good, and the kids just LOVE watching me work – they are fascinated by it. I’ve taught several how to crochet, and it contributes to an atmosphere of peace and productivity in the classroom.
Currently I’m getting my knitting done by watching \listening to the Johnny Deep VS. Amber Heard trial. I’m watching on YouTube with lawyers commenting so the process makes so much more scenes. The YouTube channel is Legal Bytes and there’s always 2 lawyers but up to 6 or 7 lawyers explaining everything for Objections, court procedures to the interesting stuff like case theory and how to have your client dress for court. Even having which attorneys to question which witness and why. And how the Optics look to the jury. It’s fascinating and has sucked me into and I cave changed my stance on who is really at fault in that situation. Autobooks I go through stages currently i.listen to R.F.Brew “The Chosen” serious, “Crossfire Series” by Sylvia Day.
As crocheting is new to me and I am still learning I pay more attention to getting my stitches right, than what I am watching. I do have the tv on while crocheting and currently am watching Walker Texas Ranger as it is on for hours during the day.
When I crochet I usually put on some crochet video tutorials to have that feeling like someone else is there crocheting with me and learn more tips and tricks. If the project I’m on needs a lot of attention I put some music in the background.
I don’t have too many opportunities to knit right now with two toddlers to look after, but I usually listen to music. I’m also in the middle of listening to Bernard Cornwell’s Richard Sharpe series. Easy to listen to and I don’t need to pay too close attention to the story to keep up with it!
I like watching cooking shows, mystery series like Charm, Chicago Fire, Med and PD also all sorts of movies.
I have been watching Downtown Abbey and Planet of the Apes, new series of movies. Congrats to Margaret. The colors are beautiful. Maybe someday I will get lucky. Have great day!!!
Hi Chandi. I love watching old episodes of Golden Girls, Diagnosis Murder and Murder She Wrote while knitting and crocheting. These are beautiful colors for this month’s yarn giveaway.
I love to crochet every day. It helps me to wind down. I usually crochet while a Hallmark movie is on.
I crochet a lot, and I read/listen a lot, so I go through series pretty quickly — too quickly to have a favorite! I’ve been listening to a lot of paranormal women’s fiction lately, which is a subgenre that features middle-aged (usually 40+) female protagonists. It’s been really refreshing to read fiction with characters I can totally identify with!
Hi Chandi!
my favourite music is silence around me, I concantrate on crochet pattern and it is absolutely relax for me 🙂
Ildikó
I tend to rewatch older shows when I’m knitting so I can mostly liten to them. I tend to get distracted by newer shows and mess up my stitches.
Hi Chandi,
I usually listen to worship music while I crochet. I tried watching movies and ended up frogging a lot of rows. 🥺
I like to knit and crochet when I watch something I’m not interested in. That way I can concentrate on what I’m doing or I might make a mistake. Also I might miss something important on a show I like.
I like to watch music videos on Youtube while I crochet 🙂
I enjoy gardening and knitting videos, ofcourse!❤
Hallmark movies are my favorite when crocheting or knitting.
I like to watch sports – almost any sport – when crafting. I don’t have to pay too close attention, and a quick glance at the scoreboard tells me what I might have missed! For serious sewing or knitting I listen to classical music.
DIY videos on YouTube.
I love to listen to music or a book when knitting or crocheting,
But I will watch just about any rom com or drama if the tv is on.
Hiya Chandi and everyone!
I absolutely love having my baking competitions on in the background while I’m crocheting and knitting. They relax me and I can reminisce to my days as a pastry chef and cake decorator, though I was never at their level, lol. Have a Wonderful day!
Hi Melanie: did you know there is an audio book series set with the English bake off as the backdrop?
This series is also written by Nancy Warren and hits on baking, Ingredients, witching, ghosts, solving mysteries and being kind. Love listening to her audio books while knitting. Theatermarye (Raverly)
Audio books are my go-to. Currently listening to “Fathers and Sons” by Turgenev for a book club. This book was chosen long before the current Russia situation. The discussion later this week should be enlightening.
I’m in the no background noise catagory. Knitting is my quiet time
I love listening to Audiobooks as I knit! It’s my birthday on the 23rd, I love your yarn!!
I listen to whatever is playing on the TV. If I really need to concentrate – new pattern, new stitch – then I will listen to old re-runs so I can concentrate on my crafting.
I like to watch chatty YouTube vlogs about what people are making. It inspires me to see what other people are working on.
Hello Chandi! While I am “creating”, either in my sewing room working on a new quilt or table runner, or living room knitting away, I love to watch and watch again many of my favorites. My most favorite is “Anne of Green Gables”! There is just something endearing about Anne, with an E, that and her best friend Diana that tugs at ones heart strings, takes you away to a whole other beautiful time and place that is just so very relaxing. I do not care for the new Anne on Netflix, I am referring to the older series with all of the original characters. I always purchase dvd series and I enjoy Netflix as commercials just drive me nuts……lol lol I am thinking it would be AMAZING if you came up with a yarn colorway(s) depicting Anne of Green Gables!!! I for one, would be first in line to purchase, esp. in fingering weight! I can see a yarn base now with the colors of her and Matthew when he first drives her through the orchard fully in bloom! Hugs!
I love listening to free audio books from my library.
I recently stumbled across Nancy Warren’s vampire knitting series. Now take it from me, I hate everything about the vampire genre just on principal of the silliness and also because I was scared as a young girl by a vampire tv show called Dark Shadows. But this book series is more about solving mysteries, being kind and generous set with a knitting shop backdrop than about murderous vampires. I loved the whole audio series. Theatermarye (Raverly)
Thank you again for a chance to win your lovely giveaway! I love re-watching Downtown Abbey while knitting, whenever I can.
I watch anything that doesn’t require constant attention, like sport or sometimes documentaries.
Star Trek TNG. I know them all by heart and I can just listen while I knit!
I’m a reddit addict! I either listen to reddit stories on YT (Mark Narrations & Lost Genre are the best imo) or I watch documentaries. Mainly true crime ones or anything to do with the paranormal! I tend to binge watch my fave channels (like Caspersight, Mindseed TV or Nukes top 5 for anyone interested) so put on a playlist & just let them play! I cant concentrate enough properly to watch something like a movie, that I need to really watch to follow the storyline, while crocheting so talking type things are best for me. Plus I find audiobooks just weird lol
The Quiltshow
I like to listen to music of all genres when crafting. Having the music in the background is soothing to my soul.
I prefer something I don’t have to pay much attention to. Usually I go for cartoons (even though I’m in my 30’s…) and gameshows!
I love the old movies. Like little house on the paraire. There is such a huge difference in how ppl were even when this series was made.
I usually listen to romance audiobooks but right now, I am listening to Frank Bruni’s The Beauty of Dusk, his book about his loss of vision in one eye. It is beautifully written.
I listen to audiobooks or podcasts. I am learning french right now and I listen to Coffee Break French or Little Talk in Slow French.
I really enjoy watching Tiny House Nation while knitting. I love Zak’s creativity, ingenuity & willingness to always go the extra mile to make something unique to bless the new tiny home owners. And I just love that it inspires an uncluttered, more mindful & simple way of living.
Hello Chandi, When I first stumbled on your site and saw your yarns, they were jaw dropping and I mean literally my jaw dropped, I have never seen yarn that is so beautiful. Now I am challenged to convince the man with the money to buy me some of your skeins to make my next crochet project. I wear ear plugs and listen to talk radio stations, keeping up with what is going on in the world, however if I turn on the TV I will watch Dances with Wolves or Lonesome Dove, I have seen both of these movies so many times, all I need is to hear them while I concentrate on what I am crocheting. As far a reading I’m fascinated with the Left Behind series by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins. Thank you for providing this giveaway.
Hello, If I watch anything, it’s usually whatever my hubby has on the TV. Usually a comedy show or an adventure film.
If I listen to anything, it’s a true crime podcast. Sometimes in the evening, if I am doing embroidery, it’s whatever catches my interest on Netflix.
At the moment I’ve been obsessed with the show Grace and Frankie on Netflix. It’s got quite a few big names in it and it’s hilarious and just so wrong! If anyone is in need a some good laughs I highly recommend it! Just released season 7, so perfect for binging on show days!
I love to laugh, so I like to watch some comedy. I love to watch family programs. I like to crochet wash cloths. Times call for drastic measures. Keep the hands busy,it is very relaxing.
Just watched big little lies, binge watching!,
I like to watch Everybody Loves Raymond. My husband’s grandma got me into it and it just never gets old. I also like to binge watch new shows. I spent all day last Sunday crocheting and watching The Handmaid’s Tale.
I work in an automotive manufacturing factory during the day, so in the evenings when I am home doing my crafts I enjoy the peace of the house. I may have a fan on in the background humming quietly offering gentle air movement to the room. I usually have one or two dogs laying in the room with me, lol-they honestly think the yarn is a toy unless my basket is up high. I have three different projects going right now. A lacy knitted shawl (my second knit project ever); a crocheted blanket with a different stitch in each section for me (I am at 18 different stitches now) and a crochet baby blanket for one of my honorary daughters (due in October). Crafts are how I relax after a tough day!
Whatever I’m binging at the time! This has been Dance Moms recently because I got overly into reality TV when I had Covid at the end of March. But it’s about to be the nee season of Working Moms and Stranger Things!
This is my first time entering a yarn giveaway but June 2nd is my 35th birthday and these are a BUNCH of my most favorite colors/tones so perhaps the stars will align!
Right now I am watching NCIS. I lie to watch 60’s & 70’s shows and movies too!
Good afternoon, I been binge watching your YouTube channel 😊 I love your positivity and kind soul. It’s a breath of fresh air.
I been listening to an audio book called Heaven an unexpected journey by Jim Woodford and I also enjoy they tv series virgin rivers on Netflix
Have a great and blessed day
Hi Chandi! I like to listen to the Outlander series while I knit. I watch it as I’m able but don’t need to drop a stitch! Btw your customer service is incredible!
