I need a couple convenient cardis for wearing while doing housework. Short sleeves on one, for doing dishes and other scrubbing chores. Pockets galore on another, for picking up after myself.
I want to knit, cowls, shawls, scarves and hats for the unhoused.
I want to try another sweater now that I’ve done a cardigan. Love shawls and wraps, too!
I would love to start on some tank tops or t-shirts for the summer
I want to stick with simple projects this year.
I want to do more amigurumi this year
I do hope that the new year brings you many Blessings and joy. My goal is to complete your Embrassor wrap pattern for a friend. I am also working on a summer sweater for myself. I want to challenge myself with new creative accessories such as rose pins, choker necklace and such. I do need some help to find the warmest & softest yarn in Blaze Orange for beanies for some friends that go hunting. Lots to do – Happy stitching.
I’ve started a sweater, my first knitted sweater. I would love to make a cardigan and summer tops 😊
I want to finish all my WIPs this year! 😁

This year I will be working on wedding afghans!! Three of my grandchildren are currently engaged and scheduled to be married in the next twenty months. One of my sons proposed to his girlfriend on New Year’s eve. We don’t have a date yet for that one

Happy new year! I have several knit and crochet WIPs that I would like to finish, including Seinesation and Carbon Copy, and a crochet afghan from a CAL. But my main goal, especially in next couple months is to use scrap yarn to make crochet Emotional Support Chickens – enough for each special need student in a class that I volunteer with.
I want to finish more WIPS and learn how to knit socks. There are so many projects that inspire me it is hard to decide which direction to take. I finished Erudition yesterday and I am working on Fleuelle. I found out I need to make a baby blanket for a friend.

The last 2 years, I have aimed for a certain number of projects to complete. This year, I have listed things I want to experience this year. Among that list is to make at least two EFA patterns, as I have collected quite a few of them thanks to Friday’s free patterns. Thank you for the beautiful words and inspiration.
Shawls and sweaters I will actually wear 🙂 I’m slowly moving past just knitting (or crocheting) blankets!
This year is all about blankets for my kids.

It would be faster to say what kind of projects I don’t want to make this year: socks. I really don’t have any interest in making socks, but pretty much everything else is on my list 😁Shawls, ponchos, capes, bags, jewelry, scarves, fingerless gloves, cardigans, boleros, sweaters, tees and more. But mostly, the project has to grab my interest, be special, original, even challenging. It’s going to be a lot of fun!
I would like to make a few sweaters from my ravelry queue that I’ve been planning for a while. There is also an all over lace cardigan that I’ve been dreaming of. I would like to make items that I am proud to wear. So far, I’ve made a lot of things that are just shy of what I would like them to be, but I look at it as a learning curve – I’m learning about yarns, fit, construction, colour, and slowly building up my skills to make things that truly work for me.
Happy New Year! I want to make it all…more sweaters and definitely the MCAL!

This year I want to make shawls, it’s been my biggest challenge and I absolutely love that I’m determined to get the perfect one done this year
This year I would like to make projects to use up my stash. The problem is that I have too many single skeins or pairs in a variety of fibers and weights, so big stash-busting projects won’t work!
I want to finish projects that I’ve started and set aside. I would like to make some more complicated patterns that will challenge my brain power but at the moment simple mindfulness patterns that help relaxation and require little brain power are all I can handle at this moment in time.

Happy New Year! This year I’d like to finish a sweater I’ve had in progress for about five years. I only have the sleeves to go, so it shouldn’t be difficult. Other than that, hats and slippers for grandchildren, shrugs/cardigans for me, a pair of socks or five, and mittens. Probably more than that, it just depends on what hits me in the moment.
Im trying to get back into crocheting since my spinal cord surgery July of 2025.i still can’t feel my right hand or bottom half but my goal is to get back to the thing i love and that’s crocheting! I can’t wait to make more clothes for myself for once.

Im going for lightweight clothing and trying (again) to learn to knit.
I want to make myself a shirt!
Oof the greens and purples together are so great!

Happy New Year! I want to play with colours and techniques this year – want to push myself with projects a little outside my comfort zone as far as using multiple colours for a pattern, and would really like to try a lace-knitting project at some point!
I really have no idea. Whatever catches my fancy, I guess. What I hope is that I actually finish the projects I start in a timely measure. LOL
This year I want to focus on more pullovers. My new job is freezing, and my knits keep me warmer than anything store bought.

I want to make a couple of shawls and at least one afghan this year.
All year long I have been making my list for my next, & my new year’s, projects. The list is so long, I will have to live 100 lifetimes to get through it all. But, it does guide me & keep me on track, as I end one project & immediately begin the next. We can’t have idle hands becoming the devil’s workshop, now, can we?! Your patterns Wonder and Aimer and my 3rd Crossaster are on that list! My Crossaster that I am doing now with your Pearlescent Worsted is making a fabulous blanket! Only 10 more huge rounds to go!
The type that can actually get completed AND given to their intended recipients!!😅🫣😬

I’ve only knit cardigans for the past 2-3 years, don’t know why.
It’s time I made a pullover.
I am planning on a couple blankets I have had in Ty queue for a while, another sweater, and a few shawls. That is the plan – whatever else I end up with is anyone’s guess 🙂
Hi Chandi, I’m currently working on the Heartbeat scarf pattern. I chose to widen it for more of a rectangle wrap 🙂. Love working with Pearlescent Worsted (Idyllic colorway). For 2026, I have a variety of shawls and sweaters I hope to complete as well as help my 9yr old start her first real project -she’s mastered a couple of crochet stitches and is ready to do something real! Very exciting!
This year is going to be the year to make wearables!
No real plan, to be honest XD I’ll see when and how inspiration strikes, but maybe learning a new technique or two (or hundred, for that matter XD), and maybe tackling my first garment.
This year, I plan to start making socks.
And also keep on making gifts for my loved ones ☺️❤️
Oh my gosh, what a beautiful array of yarn. I’ve just ordered some of the mirage sport as my Christmas treat to myself to make the Lacewing sweater, and also plan to make the ashlynn sweater as well for work. 🤞🤞 good luck everyone, here’s to a fabulous 2026

Happy New Year! This year I want to try to make myself a few garments and maybe a blanket. Also tons of Amigurumi!
Happy New Years Chandi, Tim and the EFA team! 🥂🥂 You are all very special people.
This year I want to reflect on what I have achieved over the years! I have so many wips it is crazy! Some will just get frogged(oh no the froggy party 🐸🐸) some will get finished and gifted out. My late parents and mother in law thought I was crazy with all the yarn I have stashed away but there is nothing better than a squishy yarn to make you feel good!
Hope 2026 fills you with good health, wealth and happiness!
This year I want to learn to make sweaters
This year I ‘d work in slow and emotional projects: a blanket, a dress for next summer and a couple of shawls.
This year I would like to create gifts that are mindfully made. Making a lot of smaller things in 2025 brought many people joy, but this year, I want to make more sweaters/larger items. I love the sense of accomplishment when the perfect yarn meets the perfect pattern. True knitting joy!
I’d like to make a shawl and a short sleeve top. Of course, more socks too!
This year I want to focus on tunics or cardigans. I absolutely love sweaters and am constantly falling in love with beautiful color work sweater patterns but I live in a climate that’s just too hot for those, so cardigans and tunics are the way to go.
For 2026 I plan to learn to knit socks. Measured all my families feet over the holidays.
I want to make more cardigans. They seem to be missing in my wardrobe.
I’m working on horology (OMG love love!), scarfs for the homeless sheltr, and a second, third and 4th Purport for family (hee hee) going to start Ume, and Infinitesimal…..for starters
I would like to make more sweaters this year
I am finishing a sweater. I will move on to making a lacy top, then a shawl. I want to learn color work. Last year I learned cables. I’ve been knitting for about 10 years and there are things I’ve been avoiding , like cables and colorwork. Now I can knit a basic cable. By December 2026 I hope to be able to say that I can knit colorwork.
Seems like I repeat my “promise” to myself:
Make a camisole or two. Cardigan-but what yarn? Always on stand-by: socks, fingerless mitts, hats.
So many new patterns, yarn…come to my attention and…..that “want to make” list keeps growing! Perhaps I need to just Pick. One. Project. and focus, focus!
But isn’t it fun, to browse & peruse ??? So much fun!
I’ve made my list for 2026. It includes 1 pair of socks per month, a couple of shawls, one long sleeve sweater and 2 summer tops!! Woo hoo!!!
I hope this year is the one I make a sweater 😬 I’m also going to learn how to make socks.
Planning to take another try at stranded colorwork. I see so many wonderful ideas, and I want to try them all!
Well I’m hoping to make at least one or more project a month. My goal is to hopefully (knocks on wood) make one of the reimagined zodiac patterns from 2025 per month.
I am going to finish projects that I have going, so that I can cast all the new patterns coming out this year.
I’ve been doing a lot of sweaters and hats for my grandkids. I think this year I’ll make some things for me. I’ve got 2 of your sweater patterns and yarn. I think it’s about time I get started on those.
I like to do whatever crosses my path and speaks to me
This is the year of cozy handmade garments- I’m thinking sweaters, cardis, vests, maybe a dress?? We’re dreaming big over here 😁😁😁
I would like to make some more blankets and learn how to make a sweater
Happy New Year, everyone!
This year I would like to finish all of my WIPs and, at the very least, knit a pair of socks (for myself of course) from the yarn I purchased thru this site. It is THE softest yarn that I have ever worked with so I’m very excited to get started.
This year I’m going to try and make more garments. One on my list is your crocheted granny Cardigan and a couple pullovers. I always have a sock on my needles and this year I will try for one pair of socks a month.
As always, thanks for the opportunity to win such lovely yarn!
I will continue making hats for charity this year. I also want to sneak in a Gorlleidio shawl for myself. I made one for a friend for Christmas and it is beautiful and so practical for wearing on a cold winter evening. It was an easy pattern to follow and exactly what I was looking for when I started the project. Thanks for that pattern!
Happy New Year!
Planning to finish the crocheted sweater I started before the holidays and knit the Enchanted wrap for our daughter’s birthday. Hopefully use up some of my stash knitting socks, too!
This is the year that I am going to learn to knit. I don’t care what I make as long as I can get this down. It’s been particularly difficult to learn on YouTube because everyone knits differently, but I think I’m going to try learn Norwegian technique as it might be easiest on these old hands. Happy New Year Chandi!
I want to try making a garment. It has been ages since I last made one.
this year i’d like to finish last year’s mkal and also this year’s mkal and a few more new projects.
lovely yarn and colors – my birthday month!!!
I enjoy making shawls for the milestone birthdays
I want to learn a few new skills this year and tackle a few projects that I’ve had on my “I want to make someday” list for awhile.
I’m working to reduce my stash, but I’m still open to welcoming new skeins/hanks/balls into the family. 😉
I need to make a lot more socks, gloves, and blankets.
It seems to be a new baby year so I will be knitting up sweet little baby hats, sweaters and blankets. Also will be working on improving my crocheting and a little sock knitting!! 2026 is looking like a very creative year! Thanks for your inspiration Chandi and EFA team!!
I want to make a couple of sweaters and a poncho
I lost sight of myself in 2025 so I plan to focus on projects for myself this year. I want to make things that will make me happy like maybe try knitting socks or making gloves.
Hello! Happy new year!! I’d like to learn color work this year and socks. So maybe do both at once with colorful socks!
I’d really like to have time to finish projects that I’ve started & get others started & done.
This year I want to make a blanket using yarn my mom spun and dyed.
beautiful colors to make the dark days of winter a little brighter!
I am focusing on portable projects this year
I’m an avid crocheter, but I want to work more on knitting this year too!
Try a sweater again or a tank. My first sweater came out so big even though I did a gauge swatch. So much work for nothing.
I am committed to finding patterns that lean into the texture, drape, and colors of each yarn I work with this year. I ended 2025 frogging a few projects and selecting better patterns for the yarns. It is so satisfying to have the yarn really shine in a pattern. So I would let the yarn lead me!
I want to crochet pillows with cross stitch patterns on them, my friend it getting really good at it and I think it would be fun to do
Happy 2026 to all!
I plan on continuing to make gifts this year, as I did in 2025, using patterns and yarn from Expression Fiber Arts.
The shawls and cardigans gifted for Christmas were so well received that I’m inspired to make more this year, while advancing my knitting and crocheting skills with pullover sweaters.
This year I want to get back to my roots and crochet more blankets but I’ll still be making little things all around the year. I’d like to make more hats for our Cancer Treatment Center in my town.
I want to try knitting a cardigan this year.
I have so many UFOs in the stash, I’d like to get through them and see if I will finish them, or whether they need to be frogged and given a good home. Plus oh so much stash that needs to be gone through and have hard and real decisions made about. So lots of thinking and realistic planning. No fun.
This year I’ve decided to challenge myself. Harder stitches, more difficult yarns to handle- I’m going all out. Can’t wait!
This year I am dipping my toes into crochet sweaters. Currently drooling over the Increscent pattern and would love to make it and the Rose shawl for starters. Maybe knit some socks too!
Happy 2026! This year I hope to tackle all my saved patterns and stash and complete them. But my most important project will be knitting my sister something beautiful for her 70th birthday in July. Have a wonderful year.
This year I would like to try Intarsia. And some small fair isle projects like hats, mitts and boot cuffs.
I’ll be starting with some simple projects using yarn I was gifted by my cousin for Christmas. I need to finish my 2025 MCAL. And I’d like to start a cardigan as winter winds down into spring. I can’t wait to see what other ideas the year offers!
I want to make my first pair of socks and maybe spin up enough yarn for my first sweater.
What a stunning collection of yarn this month! My word this year is ‘connection.’ I want to stay more connected to the people I love, to my community, and to the present moment—and crocheting complex, intricate patterns helps me do that. Happy New Year, EFA team!
Happy New Year! I am looking forward to making more items for our granddaughter and for other family members who have asked me! I love that they trust me to make them something special! 💓
This year I want to challenge myself by diving into colorwork and mosaic knitting. Perhaps I will find time among the knitting gifts to make myself a cardigan. Good luck to all of us this year as we pursue our dreams!
This year my knitting goal is to make more time for yarn projects. We have our two 4-year old granddaughters living with us half time and it has been challenging to find time to knit. They are interested in my knitting now though, and their curiosity is encouraging and inspiring.
This year I plan to challenge myself and do a couple of colorwork projects. I’m also hoping to get into my older project boxes and deal with one per month. I’m not putting pressure on myself to finish each one, but at least I can make a decision on whether to keep or frog, and go from there. Looking forward to 2026!
What lovely yarns! I’m into making sweaters but would like to do some smaller projects this year as gifts for those who mean. the most to me!
I’ve made a temperature blanket and a MCAL cowl in 2025, plus a shawl. I’m probably doing shawls and maybe a sweater or poncho in 2026.
I plan to make almost everything you can think of! Sweaters, socks, shawls, home decor, you name it! I’ve got sort of a plan organized for this year, but I’m going to make what inspires me as well! Stay reasonable with my WIP limit but still have the freedom to have 6 WIPs or more at once if that’s what I want!
I have shawls and more shawls in my queue, as well as socks and a couple of sweaters. Never not knitting!
I’ve been crocheting for years but would like to learn knitting as well. The Chocolate Diamonds pattern looks perfect to start with!
What beautiful colors! I’m looking forward to making more shawls this year and a blanket.
Hi Chandy. I have been a little unmotivated lately but hoping that some new yarn and colowork will get me going into renewed knitting excitement!
This year is about making comfort items (shawls, blankets, socks, etc.) for friends I know, as well as friends I haven’t yet met (and might never meet-donated items). And of course, the EFA year long MKAL!
I will trying to make shawls and wraps for my granddaughters and daughter. Just received EFA yarns that I ordered for shifting sands beach wrap for my mother. I have hi ambition/possible lofty goals with low skill. However, learning new stitches weekly.
I’d love to make a cabled sweater for myself. I also hope to weave a throw.
Honestly, my project for 2026 has to be something for my husband. He’s been watching me knit for my children and my friends and soo much for me! He’s finally said “what about me?” So, I’m looking for a man’s sweater. He is requested a hood and a zipper. So my search begins!
Hi Chandy! I have been a little unmotivated lately so I hope that some new yarn and colorwork will get me going into new renewed knitting excitement!
I’ve been working on writing pattern for a book I want to put together. I wrote 6 patterns this fall and have a few more planned out to start working on this year. I also want to complete a sweater this year.
Sweaters sweater and more sweaters!
I’m so excited for this years MCAL!! Last year was my first one and I loved learning new techniques and stitches. This year I hope to continue to broaden my crochet skills. I also want to try knitting!
I would like to try something that challenges my skills… But I’m not quite sure what that is yet!
Happy new year!! I’ve been making loads of hats recently but my daughter is wanting a sweater scarf and I’m hoping to enter my sock making era this year for myself so let’s see if we can get there haha
More fine-gauge tops
This year I want to make allll the sweaters.
My goal this year is to knit more for myself. I’ve been knitting about 60 years and really have nothing to show for just me. It’s my time now…..well as well as the nieces, nephews, etc 😉
I’d love to make a sweater or a shawl, depending on the color I get
I’m looking to finish current projects that have been in time out (sometimes for years)
What lovely yarn! I make mostly sweaters and socks but I just finished a more delicate blouse – happy new year!
This year I want to make afghans for my children for Christmas, and I have several sweaters and shawls I would like to make for myself.
I plan to knit socks, hats, cowls, and dishcloths.
I really want to start and complete a couple of simple, utilitarian pullover sweaters for my hubby (he’s always cold) that will showcase a beautiful yarn.
I just want to finish my current projects…which will be a feat in and of itself since I have a one month old. 😛
The plan for the year is to finish the sweater that is on my needles right now. I really want to try my hand at some color work, I have collected many beautiful designs to choose from also would like to knit my first top down sweater
I would like to knit or crochet my first blanket. Also, some lacy shawls.
I have been on a hat kick. I knitted and/or crocheted over 50 for the Angel Tree. Now I need to find another group to give hats to.
This is the year I want to tackle knitting a cozy sweater!
More socks, a shawl, a fair isle sweater & baby items
I want to work on rectangular shawls/wraps..
I would like to try a sweater this year.
This year begins with finishing a project I began last year. I have A LOT to learn about yarn selection. I wish it was as easy as matching colors that coordinate. I have a project I started using acrylic yarn. I just had to frog half of what I worked because the weight of the yarn…even though they are both listed as a “4”…was totally heavier than my first color. Anywho, I’m trusting 2026 will bring me a better understanding of choosing yarn so I can work any project I may pick up more seamlessly. Cheers to the possibilities of 2026!
Im planning to work on granny square shrugs for family members
Trying hard to make my first wearable sweater this year. Last year was rough financially but hoping that 2026 will ring in some needed changes <3
I would like to finish some WIPs I have hanging around 🙂
In 2026, I plan to make more baby items, a top for myself and maybe learn to make socks!
Wearables!
I’ll use the yarn to begin knitting items for our library’s mitten tree.
Happy New Year! I want to improve my skills with wearables this year, maybe even tackle a big project, like a blanket.
I’ve only made small items so far so this year I would like to try one of the many patterns that I have saved from Expression Fibre Arts crochet collection, there are so many to chose from, I would like to try shawls and cardi’s first I think 🥰
I would like to make projects that I will finish this year!
I’ve been knitting my first pullover, it’s coming along okay, but I’m realizing that I would probably prefer cardigans. My dream is to replicate a store bought cardigan that I LOVE but that’s a long ways off before I might be able to figure out how to do that. My niece is pregnant with her second child and I want to knit a baby blanket for her. I would also love to knit with yarn that is not my old acrylic stuff. Happy New Year to all!!!!
I want to make a cabled sweater…for ME!
I’ve got a TON of projects I want to do this year. The hard part is deciding which to do first 😅 It’ll probably be some fingerless mitts to keep the cold away from my poor knuckles (once I’m done with some of the belated Xmas presents that I have yet to finish). I just learned how to knit a few months ago, but it’s already one of my favorite things, so much so that I got a gift certificate for EFA for Xmas! I got the kit so I can make the Horology shawl so that’s next on the list. I’m also excited to make a blanket for myself, headbands and scrunchies for my sisters, and maybe even my first cardigan or sweater!
I’m going to focus on garments for me this year after doing mostly gifts lately.
I’d like to make more of my own designs this year.
I would like to knit more to get better at my technique. I would like to be able to donate what I make to my church’s cancer care group.
I would like to complete more projects, so smaller simple ones appeal to me.
Such lovely yarn! I’m mainly a garment crocheter with occasional accessories or household items. I’m trying to keep to beautiful and useful items only.
Socks. Every year I say I want to try sock knitting. I hope this is the year I do it!
This year I want to focus on shawls and blankets. Things squishy and warm.
I would like to make a couple of sweaters this year for my daughter and soon to be daughter-in-law.. I also want to get started on my middle son’s queen size blanket.
I would like to make a blanket for my first great grandchild due in March.
This year I want to focus on cozy projects – socks, shawls, sweaters.
I would like to take on more Tunisian projects this year, as well as pick up some more advanced crochet patterns that may not look like traditional crochet. I should focus more time on how to work with ‘color’ combos – because I am horrendous when it comes to that. I don’t have a natural eye for that – so I need to learn to adjust a project from other things I’ve seen. That’s a big challenge for me.
The types of projects I want to do this year include a wedding blanket for a co-worker, a baby blanket, and a gift for my son who is graduating this June.
I will be knitting with some new techniques plus lots of color work.
Finish my cardigan. I’ve been hampered by recovery from wrist surgery early last year. 🙁
I purchased two pair of vintage style shoes, so this year is all about fabulous vintage style socks to wear with them! Also soft, squishy sweaters for my grandbabies…and myself…and a wrap or two…and socks for the babies….maybe a blanket…gotta go get more yarn.
Looking forward to making a few things for myself this year and possibly entering my first craft show!
I will be making some socks for the family and hats for myself because I will be bald by March 😫.
I am already working on a shawl for a friend, and will probably make another shawl and a sweater. I will also make some accessories. If the TV has a movie playing you will find me knitting.
This year, I’d like to make some socks. I’ve been knitting for just over 20 years and I’ve never made a pair of socks.
I love seeing scrappy things, mainly blankets. Happy New Year!
This year I’m looking forward to making a blanket for my daughter.
This year I’m making matching scarves, mittens, socks and gloves…. I’ll throw in some cowls and scarves if I have the time.. I always knit blankets and hats so they’ll be in the mix too.
I want to make more basic garments this year.
My plans are to make the Inis Meain wrap for campfire season. 🤗
I’ll probably make a good mix of things. Blankets, shawls, cowls, hats, and amigurumi are my favorite things.
Happy New Year! I would like to get back to sock knitting this year, but I will probably knit a sweater or two (or five) as well 🙂
My goal for this year is to knit at least one thing for each member of my immediate family that they pick out, in addition to finishing a sweater for me that actually fits!
I’m hoping to expand my skills … this year working on mosaic and stranded knitting. Just not sure what project it will be yet!!
A variety of projects this year. I want to make a couple of sweaters, hats, mitts and scarves.
I want to make mostly shawls, scarves and wraps, knit and/or crochet. I would like to try my hand at converting a three piece cardigan pattern into a single piece that I could knit most of bottom up on a very long needle; work the shoulder and neck shaping however works; apply the button band(s). I would also like to FINISH every WIP in my stash (ha,ha,ha). Happy New Year, Everyone at EFA!
So many things I want to get to this year….. not enough hours in the day though.
A blanket for my daughter. A few scarves to keep me warm at work. A cardigan for daily wear. A winter hat….
Just to name a few.
I’m hoping to make more wearable this year, and I want to try a pair of socks.
I’m hoping to get a bunch of projects done for other people. A friend at work asked me to make a rabbit for her mom, so that’s first on the list
I want to make a wearable for me! It’s long overdue! And charity items to donate!
Such beautiful colors. I am coveting a crocheted dress, so I will be working on that (once I finish the other projects in my queue).
Looking forward to weaving some more scarfs, also have a couple of crochet shawls/wraps on the want to do list as they can be taken with me as I work on them.
I’m working on amigurumi and wearables this year!
I usually make shawls, blankets, and accessories. This year my husband says I have to make something for myself, so I’m thinking of sweaters and tops.
I will continue to make items to donate (blankets, hats with matching cowls, household items). And for me, would like to make some summer weight garments this year.
I think it’s going to be a sweater year
I’ve been working very hard on knitting and crocheting from my stash. I have plans for sweaters and accessories.
I’m making my wedding dress this year!
I can’t wait for your 2026 MKAL. That’s definitely on my list to knit this year and probably a ton of hats and mitts and a sweater of two.
This year I want to improve my knitting, so any project such as shawls or sweaters would work for me!
Shawls, mini scarves, cowls, etc – reach-for accessories that are grab-and-go projects year round.
Projects for the new year? I think tops. Sweaters, cardigans, tees – you name it, I want to make it and wear it!!!
My Ravelry queque is filled with socks for friends and family and sweaters for me. I’ve also got a couple of lighter wraps & a shawl planned that will work for all weather. NW FL doesn’t really get cold more than a few days a year.
lovely colors, I see many sweaters
I would like to try the Anidando hat and the scarf pattern that matches. The Twisted Tweed Sport yarn looks really good with this pattern 😍
This year I want to finish as many WIPs as possible. I love starting new projects, but I need to finish some of these!
Happy New Year! My New Year’s resolution is to make myself more sweaters. I crochet and most make gifts and for my friend to sell. She has an alpaca farm and sends the fleece to be made into different products, including yarn.
I would like to make as many tops (sweaters, cardigans, blouses, tees, and tans) as possible. I dont have a specific quantity, so I’m going to with the flow. I might throw in some accessories here and there.
This year I want to make small projects which will make good gifts.if I keep things simple, I’ll accomplish more…maybe just 1 more complicated project at a time for when I’m in the mood for that sort of thing. Your yarns look so beautifully inspiring!
I am going to make a new Christmas stocking for my youngest kid.
This year my eldest granddaughter is heading off to college so I’m planning to make her accessories for her to wear at her new school
I have some quick projects in mind both in knit and crochet. I hope to add to my wardrobe with careful planning as well.
This month’s colors would fit perfectly into my wardrobe. It’s exciting to think of the possibilities! Thank you for all you offer to the knitting community.
I’ve just started my sweater making journey ☺️ and I really want to try color work and cables
My first grandbaby was born in December so I’m hoping to make many baby projects this year. And I always have a pair of socks on the go for family members.
Sweaters and cardigans!!
We are welcoming our first grandchild in June so my first project is a soft and cuddly baby blanket. 💕
I would like to make squishy, cozy, comfy V-neck sweaters in 2026,
I mostly knit sweaters and tees, but do like occasional shawl to rest in between items which need to fit. So, it will be more of the same. I would love to knit or crochet a dress.
I am going to finish a wearable sweater this year!!!
I cannot wait to cast on the new synchronicity pattern. Just have to wait for my yarn.
I love making scarves and hats, especially with super soft, cozy yarn ❤️
I hope to make a little bit of everything so that I can go with my sister to the square fair and get a booth this coming fall.
What a magnificent collection of yarns! This year I would like to begin some color work. I think I will start with mosaic.
Love reading your kind words and quotes with each email.
I just learned how to crochet, so I want to make a granny square blanket
I’m chugging through my Ravelry queue and trying to finish up some WIPs. I have some beautiful lace shawls I’d love to work up this year.
I have a great great nephew for whom I love knitting all the little things but I need to knit a sweater for myself. Just don’t know yet which of the many in my queue to choose.
I have a list of projects, sweater scarves, fingerless gloves, blankets, shawls, sweaters, scarves, socks and what ever else strikes my fancy as I explore my current stash of EFA yarns. Winning this would be the icing on the cake. Thank you for all of the scrumptious yarns you offer
Thank for the cool giveaway! If I win it, what couldn’t I make with it, lol! Good luck to all and thank you.
My first goal this year is to finish several WIPs. I have 2 shawls (including the Purport MKAL which I need to complete the last two sections), a blanket, and 2 sweaters in progress. I really want to finish these, then I want to try my first pair of socks!
This is my year to knit more warm weather tops like tanks with lacy bottom hems.
I want to finally knit a sweater.
I want to make one of those blankets, that folds looks like a bouquet of roses. also a beret hat for my Grands
I’m doing a 26 in 26 challenge this year, so it will be socks upon socks!
This year I think I want to make mostly warm accessories for extra cold days – hats, cowls, mitts, etc.
Happy New Year, yarn lovers. What I plan to make this year is full of sweaters, socks, & blankets. That is what I have been building up the end of 2025 and my husband, (the BEST husband in the world), has been helping by gifting me afghan patterns he wants to see from me AND purchasing yarn to go with the patterns. WOW!! He can do that, but I also have some sweater patterns that would just sing with the luscious Expression Fiber Arts yarns.
Thanks so much for this! I’ve already planned out my projects for the year:soap socks, wine bottle sweaters, shawls, scarves, mufflers, fingerless gloves, bags, calf cuddlers, and more. I’m gonna be busy! 😁
Good afternoon. I would really love to make a few more hats n mittens and scarves this year. Maybe a shawl or 2 of yours. I just love the feel of your yarns.
Hi!
I’d love to complete a sweater this year, and maybe a blanket.
I *so* want to make a sweater or cardigan this year! I get so intimidated by it!
Just this morning,, as I am walking my dog, I had the thought, I need a green sweater for spring. In this collection of beautiful yarn is the perfect shade of green for my yet to be designed sweater. Plus I’ll need a shawl to go with it.
My daughter recently started a new job and she is always cold. I’d like to make her a new shawl for the office!
Your yarns are always so beautiful!
I want to finish my hibernating projects. And I’d like to start playing with crochet and try some amigurumi. I haven’t don’t much crochet since I was a teen and I’d like to try it again
I’d like to use up my stash a little, but also try some wearable pieces (sweaters, etc).
After almost ten years of crochet, I began knitting a few months ago. So far I have only made hats and socks, but this year I am hoping to learn how to make knitted lace shawls.
I would love to make a beanie or sweater which is ambitious considering my skills are really beginner.
I usually knit for other people so this year I’m starting with a couple projects for myself – 2 pairs of mittens using yarn that I dyed at a class a few years ago.
I want to make EVERYTHING LOL! In my queue is Kaleidoscope….and also Storyteller….:-)
What a wonderful array of yarns. Potentially moving to a warmer climate so I am hoping to make various light and airy tops and stoles and a classic few cowls for gifts. Years ago I bought 3 skeins of EFA special pearlescent silk finger weight. My first precious yarn purchase. I have saved it for something special that never seems to come. This bundle would definitely push me into using it
I really want to make myself a sweater or cardigan!
I have lots of unfinished projects I plan to tackle one at a time. That’s the plan. 🙂
all I want to this year is make a shawl for all the girls in our family
I want to make more items people will wear on a regular basis. I love making shawls, however, I don’t know many people who wear them. So I’m looking for practical clothing items to make other than hats, scarves and gloves.
Love these colors in the give away, they are my colors!
Shawls, scarves and cowls are my favorite things to make. This year’s, I have a blanket to finish, some stuffed animals to do, but I want to make a cardigan or two for me
More socks. Re-design hood. Re-knit cowl to fit better…
I haven’t been knitting as much as I’d like to and I would love to get back into it with some rectangular shaped shawls or even cresent shaped ones.
This year is going to be primarily for finishing WIP’s. Once I’ve got a couple of those done, I owe my husband a scarf and myself a Cheshire-cat striped sweater. I’ll have to see what other old projects I can dig up to juggle around them!
I would love to make some baby items for my baby boy arriving in March! Blankets, hats, sweaters, etc.
I plan to make lightweight capsule-type items that coordinate in the colors I wear most. I tend to grab the wild hand-dyes that catch my eye, then despair on how to make everyday staples.
I like sweaters knit with fingering yarn. They are lightweight but warm and the colors of your yarns make them vibrant!
I want to knit a sweater and some mittens.
I would love to make at least one blanket this year. And jeep making sweaters
I’d love to make a shawl for my mom. She and my grandma taught me to crochet many years ago. I picked it back up just last year. I’d also like to make a blanket for my mother-in-law.
I want to start stitching a blanket for my brother, another scarf for myself, and more cotton dishcloths for my family.
I would like to make another Norwegian Sweater. I am enjoying the first one so much.
I want to finally make the two sweaters I’ve had planned for ages.
I would make a whole intricate blanket out of this giveaway 😻
I’d like to make some shawls or wraps and some lap-afghans. My knees seem to get cold more lately along with my shoulders – I’ve always had trouble with my hands and feet getting cold. I think I’ll also try some fingerless gloves.
Sweaters! Starting with the Gwendolyn 😁
I’m expecting my first baby in April and looking forward to knitting all sort of cute baby items!
I would live to make a cozy coat for next winter! Maybe use a could strands of knitting worsted together. Also, for spring and summer, a dressy, lacy coat, just for the fun of evenings!
I want to learn to knit socks this year. I also have quite a few WIPs to get through.
This year I would love to finally finish my scarf but also I want to try to make more wearable items like dresses and summer tops
I’m going to be better at finishing off projects- I love the knitting part but tend to jump into the next new project before sewing up the old!
Looking forward to seeing this year’s MKAL, as making the 2025 one was so rewarding
I would like to knit the Journey afghan. I bought the kit a couple of years ago, and it is still in the bag!
I have branched out from crochet and am now knitting. I would like to make my first knitted cardigan.
I would love to start learning to make shirts cardigans and sweaters this year!
So many beautiful colors… the teal and purple are my favorite! I would definitely make a couple cardigans with them. I’d love to do some colorwork with the others… maybe a blanket.
I like making things I can wear and items to use in my home,
I want to start my Christmas projects ASAP so that I don’t have the stress I had this year!
This year I plan to knit a blanket, cardigans for me and my husband, and sweaters for my grandkids.
My goal is to use up some of my stash to make garments for myself and my family!
So many types of things!
I want to make a knitted sweater and use my stash yarn as much as possible
I would love to be able to make more pullovers and cardigans this year. The yarn in this giveaway would absolutely be a good start.
Shawls and hats. I want to ease myself back into crocheting after a two year gap due to bad health.
I want to make a few projects for brides, like bouquets and veils. My community has a craft fair specifically for weddings and I would love to help a bride feel fabulous 🙂
I would like to finish the shawl on my needles and a few more after that.
Sweaters & socks for me!
As always, I aim to use a new technique, skill, or construction with every project. Specifically for 2026, my goal is to do a steeked garment, and expand my colorwork skills. Also, I absolutely loved participating in the EFA MKAL 2025 and am hoping there will be an MKAL 2026!! I definitely plan on taking part in that. Thank you for providing such inspiration throughout 2025 with your beautiful yarns and words of encouragement and love. I can’t wait to see what 2026 brings.
So many possibilities with this yarn! I’m heading into the year making a wearable. I’m not sure where the yarn will take me next
I plan a baby blanket, an adult blanket, a cardigan and hopefully some small accessories. Going to be busy😁
My only girl grandbaby so far is turning 2. I’ve been picking out cute little knits to do for her!
I would love to make a cardigan, tee, shawl, hat and scarf. Thanks for the chance. Happy New Year.
I want 2026 to be the Year of the Sweater(s) for me!
I’d really love to treat myself to a gorgeous blanket. It’s difficult for me yo mate that sort of commitment without having the yarn and pattern planned ahead of time though.
This year I hope to make a dent in my WIPS and stash busting projects. I have a list of items with new techniques and of course I want to revisit knitting and build my skills.
My main goal is to keep positive and busy. I’ve always been a glass half full kind of person but 2024 challenged that. I pray for us all to move forward with a positive outlook. 😊❤️
I’m a shawl/scarf gal, and I’m not straying from that. I like living inside the box. 🤣
I’d love to try a sweater. I have loved working on shawls and wraps and have made several things for family members. This coming year I’d like to do cowls for all our nieces. There is such a variety of yarns and patterns; it’s so hard to choose! I’m really hoping I can win one of these. Happy New Year everyone!
I want to make a shrug, sweaters, and socks! I only knit with a loom since my mom (wonderful woman but a hopeless teacher) never had the patience to teach me. And I learned to crochet from a booklet that used line drawings. It’s a pity that the drawings didn’t show hands. It made my style very…unique, and very slow. Forty years later I discovered YouTube. It was a revelation. I’m learning all over again! It’s much faster and a LOT less painful now. It’s a pity that my budget is constrained due to a pension, because I’d love to go berserk with deluxe yarns!
Mainly I make sweaters and socks with the occasional shawl.
This year I hope to make a sweater.
I would like to do a fair isle sweater. I have done smaller projects but I would like to take on a larger project that would be something dramatic.
I would like to tackle a sweater and get over my fear of it not fitting well. I think I need to just try it, and once I’ve made one hopefully I can figure out what kind of adjustments I need in the future (if it doesn’t fit well) so that I can make all my sweaters fit well.
I’m going to make some things for people I care about and have one challenge project.
This year I would love to make my first knitted cardigan!
In 2026 I would like to focus on sweaters for my grandchildren and friend’s babies
I would like to make doll clothes, baby items and a vest for myself. Maybe, even a sweater! And, it would be a gift to myself if I finished the many lovely things I have started.
Oh, that’s a hard one. 2025 I made mostly large projects like blankets. This year I’d like to focus on smaller patterns, like accessories.
I’d love to make more stuff with colorwork and cables this year! I still have a few shawl patterns I want to try as well!
This year, I want to finish the shawl I started, knit the other sock so I FINALLY have a pair of knitted socks (!) and finish rebuilding my Grandmother’s afghan. Any other projects are on an “as needed” basis. Thank again for all you do and I hope you have a wonderful New Year in 2026.
This year I want to knit or crochet … my first tee and a pair of socks.
I want to finish two wips for every new project I start. 😂
I am continuing my adventures with sweaters/cardigans & tops in 2026..
I made a few cardigans last year for family, 2 shrugs & a top for myself, as well as several sets of slippers, neckwarmers & hats for family.
Need to finish a blanket for my son that I started 2 years ago.
I have a lot of crochet WIPs I plan on finishing. I’m a new knitter so I also want to practice my knitting. I like to crochet shawls so I would like to try knitting one.
I will knit a sweater or two for my granddaughter. She just started to be interested in wearing cable pullovers… 14 years old.! Maybe some felting, slippers or a small bag. Definitely daily knitting!
I want to seek out creative and peaceful patterns for my prayer shawl knitting.
I want to make lots of socks. I also plan to make a cardigan or two, and I want to ty my hand at amigurumi.
I have sock plans…
This year my plan is to knit family and friends a pair of socks each to be gifted to them for Christmas
I want to make more shawls, hats, socks and blankets. Basically anything clothing related! I have started knitting again the last few years crocheting has been my go too. So I want to focus on making more knitted items.
Happy New Year! For 2026, I would like to do more knitting and garments for myself. I will continue to do donation makes of course.
I think I’d like to make some things for myself this year. I have been making things for grandchildren and family for a long time, so it’s time for me now!
I want to wrap up wips, either finish or frog, then start projects that have been in my queue for awhile but keep getting bumped.
I’m looking forward to making more items for myself this year. Last year I completed the Omorose sweater for me! I love this pattern and I have received so very many compliments on my sweater – just the encouragement I need to continue to make items for myself.
I plan to focus on washcloths, mitts, and a shawl
Anything wearable – tops, short sleeve cardis, dusters.
I’m not sure sure what I WANT to make..
I do want to finish a few UFOs, I have several totes (yes, EFA totes 😉) with yarn & patterns set up, I could grab one as a mystery project.
I could go through my ample pattern collection & pick something that challenges me or would just make my heart happy.
These are so beautiful!!
I’m going to branch out and make my first sweater this year! Excited for some new challenges 🙂
Happy new year!
I’d love to make my first pair of socks!
I’m hooked on crocheted blankets! (No pun intended.) Also, learning to knit is still on my list.
I really would like to try to steek a sweater, make a sholach crocheted blanket, try applied pooling and make a pi shawl which is the reason I learned to knit in the first place in 2009. Thanks to you and your staff for the chance. Love your yarn and have a lot of it but could always use more!!!
I am making so many baby items this year
I want to make prayer shawls to keep the people who are most dear to me warm and let them know that I am thinking of them. All yarns that I’ve purchased from Expression Fiber Arts have been absolutely luxurious and I am delighted with each purchase! They knit up into truly gorgeous garments that are heirloom quality. I am an avid supporter of my LYS, but what I want something truly unique and opulent for a super special project, I come here.
I have several sweaters in the queue that are screaming at me right now, but I’m also trying to knock out some of my WIPS and UFOS.
This year I want to pick projects that fit into my wardrobe rather than knit a garment just because it is pretty.
Gorgeous colors gorgeous yarn, I want to make at least one sweater and several hats this year. I currently am knitting a shrug and crocheting a shawl. Joyful new year to all!
This year I want to spend some time improving my skills in making sweaters and other wearables. I also want to pick knitting back up again and get more confident in it. Happy 2026!
What gorgeous yarns in the giveaway!!!
I hope to make more gifts for family members such as scarves and hats and mittens. Try as I might I don’t enjoy making socks lol
Me gustaría hacer unos lindos cardigans,
I would love to find a new unique afghan pattern
Fascinating colors and combinations!
I would like to challenge myself to finally crochet a “real wearable” in 2026. After having crocheted many shawls, scarfs, decorative pieces, structured doilies, dream catchers, etc.
I’m making more sweaters this year! 😍
I crochet hats to give away, so I will continue to do that this year. But I have also been gifted some of your beautiful yarns that I am going to make some shawls for myself out of.
I love these beautiful colors! I want to make 2 pullovers and 1 cardigan this year, as well as a few scarfs
Working on shawls and hats with the hope to complete other projects.
I am still perfecting socks. I’m determined lol
Right now I’m enjoying making hats, so more of those? I rarely plan projects in advance, it’s just what yarn I want to work with and a pattern that suits.
This is the year of WIPs, lol. Trying to empty the WIP basket.
I’m working on my first ever sweater! It’s a super easy one and if it works out well, I would like to explore knitting other garments….
I have just become brave enough to make my first sweater, but feel that I need LOTS more practice. Thank you for asking.
I’m looking forward to knitting socks for my sweet family 🤗🧶❤️
Happy New Year! This year I want to focus more on making some crochet sweaters and cardigans and increasing my skills and confidence with them. Thanks!
Synchronicity – that’s number one on my list after seeing it this Friday. I just fell in love with it. Then, WIPs. My goal is to finish every single thing I have in every single project bag hanging in my closet!!! LOL – I laugh just thinking about it!
Omg! I’m in love with these colors! I want to get back to knitting socks but these colors make me want to knit my mom a nice warm wrap first!!!!!
Projects for this year:
Banda shirt (these yarns would be amazing for it!)
Kalaheo shirt (yarns would also be great for this!)
Cauley cardigan (I’m almost done with this one!)
Marine Cardigan
Corydalis blanket, with extra rows or thicker yarn to be bigger
Valdeon (working on it!)
Collocation throw blanket
Catia Sweater
Plus some headbands and small gifts for friends.
Well, I have 2 grand babies arriving 2026, so I have a couple of blankets to make; trying my hand at socks (again) and I MUST make a shawl/wrap for my sister.
IF I can make the time, a few new to me projects. Like a cardigan. I would LOVE to try making one.
I’m really hoping to make myself a cardigan this year.
This year, I’m going to try to remake a few of the shawls that burned up along with my stash in 2024
I want to make more sweaters – I tend to shy away from them.
Always prayer shawls, but I’ve also got several hat patterns lined up, and maybe this year I might make a vest for myself
I have several ideas including some blankets, shawls, a cloak and a scarf.
Right now I’m exploring narrow scarves and scarflettes. Some of these yarns would be very nice for those! 🙂
This year I want to get at least one blanket done. I have several blanket squares laying around, and all the yarn to complete those blankets, but I keep getting distracted by other things.
Also, I just want to say that I’m glad to find another edible spam lover. 😀
All the sweaters, all of them, and maybe a cardigan.
I really want to knit my first sweater!
Sweaters! I’ve lost count of whether I have four or five on the go, and I’m determined to finish them this year!
I plan to continue making prayer shawls, but also would like to try my hand at stranded colorwork.
Maybe in the form of a sweater.
I would love to make a cardigan, blanket, or both!!!!
I would love to complete a Tunisian blanket this year.
I think I’m going to try to do more tops and cardigans and try out new things like entrelac, mosaic, that type of crochet that looks like embroidery on top.
I think think this year I am going to tackle a sweater for myself
I want to make ALL the projects this year! I’m so behind (in my own head). I do have some beautiful Christmas yarn I bought from YOU that I want to make mittens and scarves out of for my mom. If there’s enough a hat too, Its already a whole YEAR late. SIGH.
That purple/yellow is calling to me! I want to make a sweater, a shawl, and maybe try a skirt or sweater dress.
Lots of small scarves (Arizona heat!) and purses and bags.
I want to make more sweaters this year 😊
In 2026 I would like to knit several colorwork sweaters.
I have several EFA projects lined up to be made with EFA yarn. Hopefully, I’ll be able to put a dent in my yarn stash.
This year I want to work on cardigans and pullovers mainly.
I have plans to make a least one sweater for myself this year and to help a friend learn how to knit socks. Those are the concrete plans but thoughts of many other projects keep filling my head.
I want to venture into a sweater or cardigan. Also, in all my projects, I’ve never made a blanket and I’d linebto make one this year.
More hats & fingerless gloves & an Afghan for myself! & towels/washcloths!
Thanks for chance
If I can get rid off all my WIPs, my goal this year is to make a pair of Selbu mittens.
I want 2026 to be the year I focus on fun! I want to use the really good yarn I’ve been saving for I don’t even know what! I want to make different things and just go at my own pace…no deadlines, just making what I want at that moment until it’s not fun anymore. I’m giving myself permission to not finish projects if I don’t want to or if I’m just not enjoying it anymore. It’ll be interesting to see how the year ends up. Will I have any finished projects at all? Who knows!
There are several babies expected this year and these yarns would be perfect for them.
Something beyond blankets, scarves and dishcloths 🙂
I just want my arthritic hands to allow me to knit or crochet this year.
I want to make projects that use up my stash so I can feel good about buying more! Lets be real though, I will probably make a ton of cardigans.
I’ll just take all the purple ones please — and I’ll try to finish all my WIPs. Or just cast on new. Not sure!
Sleeveless tops, WW2 knits, Amagarumi, scarves .anything you name it
I was shocked at how many items I completed in 2025. I want to work on more wearables this year.
Hi Chandri, happy new year and thank you for so many delightful patterns! I am new to crochet, having only made one shawl and currently working on my second. I’m part way through Adamas at present and using recycled wool yarn from a cardigan my Mum (now 92 years young) started but had to stop due to arthritis in her hands. (She has given me her blessing to undo her part knitted cardigan!) Thank you also for your very easy to follow video on how to wind a centre pull ball of yarn! 😀 My goal this year is to consolidate my new crochet knowledge, try different types of yarn and improve my crochet skills by making slightly challenging items. Adamas is just such a garment and the pattern is a delight to work through. My next project is the Shining Star hat! Happy stitching everyone. I hope we all achieve at the very least, a small part of our 2026 goals 😀
As usual, gorgeous yarn! I would like to make more items for family, such as hats, shawls, cowls, and headbands. I would also like to do more amigurumi.
No serious knitting resolutions this year—just projects that bring me joy!
LOVE the colours in this set!!! So many spring patterns you could make with these. I can just imagine all the garments and wraps.
I am looking to level up my garments and acquired Olena Fedotova’s book “New Ways with Crochet” – which I am really excited about. These colors are absolutely in my preferred range.
My crochet and knit goals this year are to make some tops for summer/spring, brimmed bucket hats, vest/s for winter and try some new techniques out on smaller projects such as mosaic and Tunisian crochet and if I can squeeze it in, a brioche project for a challenge.
I am a septugenarian. I sold 79% of my yarn this past fall. I am thankful and grateful to Jehovah to wake up everday he gifts me to crochet and knit what I chose to keep. I make wearables, shawls, sweaters, doilies, afghans, wedding ensembles, etc. I no longer create for commission, just to challenge myself. I prefer to work with fingering, sport, and Dk. The larger hooks are difficult for me to maintain a grasp. I have a huge amount of EFA yarn and have made many EFA patterns.
In 2026 I’d like to make my first pair of socks, then make my hubby a matching pair of socks….. Then make a rose bouquet blanket or 2……
I want to do more knitting projects this year. So far I’ve been rather team crochet…
Dear Chandi, you so often say of us that we are beautiful souls, but INDEED, you are an amazingly beautiful soul. You have so much love radiating from your eyes! I have so many things that I want to make this year, I don’t know where I am going to find the time. I would like to make a few cardigans/sweaters for myself, new socks (at least 4 pair), about 3 shawls from your collection, a few blankets, more hats and ear warmers/head bands; cowls and scarves. Of course I love doing amigurumi too, so I have to make a critter or three or five! You see my dilemma!
I’d love to knit a Roosimine sweater and try some Tunisian crochet patterns.
I would like to make some more sweaters this year!
Hi Chandi! This year I am doing more mitts and hats. I want to try to tackle knitting a sweater. I haven’t gotten my courage up to really try it yet.
So many shawls, with so many different types of fibers I plan to make many of every season.
I have a list of projects that keeps growing! Cowls, hats, a cardigan for my daughter, a ginormous stuffed bear for our granddaughter and whatever else comes along for the kids, grandkids and other folks I love. Yarn is my love language.
Goals this year are socks for everyone. I am working on the great felting project now. Also I am try to make some one skein projects every month for gifting.
I would love to make any knitted project this year. I learned to knit a little last year, made a set of baby booties and a hat. Hollomont, actually, that didn’t fit me but was baby sized so I gave it to our new pastor and his wife for their newborn. I haven’t been able to knit properly since and wonder if it’s my yarn?
I’d like to have a go at making a crochet parasol cover this year, brought the frame in June 2024!!! lol
Currently have 12 larger WIPs…. but I’ve set a goal for myself to finish one per month. I did well finishing things towards the end of last year, (7 sweaters/tops, 5 hats, a scarf, and a small boomerang shawl among a few other smaller things) so hopefully I’ll surpass my goal! I’m also going to make a sort of tracking blanket just to use up some older yarn and qork my stash down a bit.
I want to make a full pair of wearable socks. I also want to learn how to make a plaid blanket scarf situation… I have a lot on my list, just need to buckle down and enjoy it.
Great question, probably too many things to get done in one year! The top of my list is learning to crochet socks, and some smaller items like earrings that I can give as gifts 🙂
I would like to make any project. I haven’t knitted in a very long time.
My goal for this year is to finish what I have started which includes weaving in the ends and blocking. Sad to say I have a bunch that just needs the actual finishing.
I want to make some sweaters. My husband has been asking for one, so I’ll definitely do that first.
I have a sweater I neeed to finish, then I’d like to get better at socks 😁
I want to make more sweaters and knit through my stash so I can make more room for beautiful yarn!
would be so excited to win this as I and my daughter could make sooooooo many different items – LOVE LOVE LOVE these colors and the yarn!
I feel like I’ve been knitting for others forever – 4 grandkids in 4 years, plus great nieces and nephews and more! I want to knit a wearable for me, maybe a sweater for the first time ever.
I would definitely like to make more tops this year. This yarn would be perfect for that!
I’m planning to concentrate of shawls and blankets for this year. 2025 was all about tops, sweaters and beach wraps. Your gorgeous patterns have inspired me to make some shawls and planing on converting some of those patterns into blankets if I can.
I want to make a colorwork sweater for the first time!
Happy New Year! I want to focus on creating and enhancing my tunisian crochet skills into wearable tanks, t-shirts, sweaters, and such!
I would like to make more cardigans this year.
I want to both finish the sweater I started years ago so I can finally have a knit pullover that I made, and knit myself a pair of socks. Heels and toes are so intimidating!
This year I hope to complete projects that I can bestow as gifts to my family. One project in my que is a poncho for my sister who loves ponchos.
This is the year I intend to finally learn how to knit lace!
I want to knit whatever catches my fancy, every time I try to plan for the next year I fail. I gravitate towards socks, fingerless mitts, infinity scarves, sweaters and cardigans.
I want to knit *all* the projects! But mostly I want to finish my older wips. 😹😹😹
This year I plan on making socks (lots of socks!) as well as at least two sweaters.
A sweater. It’s a commitment and a long project!
This year I want to make a blanket, beanies and mittens, sweaters, cardigans, shawls, and scarves. I have a lot of things in my que I am looking forward to making! 😊
I want to knit serenity for myself, my community, the Earth. I want to speak the languages of color and texture with my knitting projects. I want to move through the major transitions I am facing like a piece of string, knit into the most beautiful fabric. I want to knit patterns where the repetitions are like music in my hands, soothing, calming, bringing peace.
I have lots of grandkid knits on my list this year! Including baby knits and Christmas stockings for two new grandbabies due to arrive this spring!
I currently have a hat, scarf, and baby blanket on needles to finish as gifts. Also trying to work up the courage to make a vest for my daughter. I have the pattern and yarn, but the cast on is one I don’t know and still need to watch the tutorial a million more times before I attempt. Also planned is a cowl for a friend and (I think) another ascot type thing for another friend. Hopefully I’ll also get around to something fun for me!!
I love knitting shawls. I love the IDEA of wearing shawls, and would have worn them constantly as a child, teen, young adult. But now, I have a lovely collection of shawls that I rarely wear, but with which I will not part. So…more shawls in 2026. Cowls are great, too, and I DO wear those. If I won this yarn giveaway, the wool based yarns would be knitted into gifts for my wool-tolerant friends, except for that GORGEOUS fluffy white Sugar Fluff! I’m keeping THAT! I am also keeping anything purple, my favorite color. But I know whoever wins will love their prize!
This January I’ll turn 60 and I’m hoping to knit something for myself for a change. I always knit for the beloveds in my family (knitting is my love language,) and I think I’m going to knit myself a cozy sweater for my birthday.
I’d knit socks, socks, and more socks.
And Baubles.
I want to make some color work sweaters and mittens. These colors are so beautiful!
I’m such a slow knitter and crocheter, I just want to finish the Mogal I’m making for my daughter, and hopefully one of my other current WIPs.
I’m making sweaters and lots of charity hats. Happy new year!
I have our first grandbaby coming in April. I see a lot of baby and home goodies to make. These colors are amazing!
I try and let the yarn tell me what it wants to be made into, so I won’t know what I want to make until I have it in my hands!
I’m currently working on a wrap, a sweater, and a tank top. At least these 3 are actually actively breeding worked on.
This year is “The Year of the Sweater” for me. I have so many gorgeous patterns, it’s time to get to knitting them now that I am retiring!
I’m kind of stuck right now due to some health issues, I’m planning to retake my first pair of socks yayyy and try some new techniques I’ve been delaying for a while.
Such beautiful colors as always! This year I want to knit more garments like summer tops, winter wooly sweaters, and cardigans!
I would like to make myself some items along with blankets for Project Linus.
Tihis is the time of cardigans and sweaters and scarfs for me 🙂
Beautuful yarns, it would be great to win 🙂
Thank You for the possibility.
I want to finish a crocheted scarf that I started last year. I would also like to learn how to knit better and improve my skills, and I plan to crochet some Christmas decorations.
Wow! What gorgeous yarns! This year I want to make some sweaters, lots of socks and maybe a few hats for quick car trips.
I want to finish a few WIPs and then I want to make shawls!! I also want to start a prayer shawl ministry at my church.
Where to begin? … certainly things for the grandbaby; and things for me: lacey vintage style gloves, another yule sweater, a few vests and a summer tee or two – oh, and that soft, pretty, off-white cardigan that goes with pretty dresses 😁
I want to improve my crochet skills and make more wearables.
I’ll make some lovely tees and tanks, lacy ones!
I’m working on a couple of sweaters right now. I only have one crocheted sweater and having more tops would be awesome.
I want to make a vest to wear!
I would love to make a scarf or cowl for my mom with that beautiful green yarn, if I win. She absolutely loves that color!
This year I want to finish my daughter’s sweater and make wedding shawls for my son’s wedding. then I want to tackle the 3 wip I have and start another sweater! And sprinkled throughout the year, I want to. make my grandson more sweaters and stuffies!
Hello Chandi, Wow those colors are gorgeous. I would love to make an afghan with all those colors. This year I want to stretch my knitting wings in sweaters, wraps, shawls and see where that takes me. Thank you, and brilliant job on starting 2026 with these gorgeous colors.
In 2025, I made some decisions on many old (pre-pandemic) wips, with an evening of “finish it or frog it?”, and I’m proud to say that I determined that at least half of the old projects landed in the frog pile because either I no longer have an emotional affinity for the pattern, or the garment is no longer my size (I’ve lost 75 pounds since then). I will complete the unraveling and rehanking of the lovely yarns from the frogged projects and then turn my attention to the wips that are slated for completion. I would like to finish one a month this year. Additionally, I want to make some more sweaters in basic neutral colors (navy, black, gray), use more of my handspun from my fiber flock, and refresh my sock drawer with at least 4-6 new pairs of handmade socks. I have a full-time job, hour+ commute (each way) and a flock of 70 sheep, with lambing in April, so this is an ambitious goal for me.
I have so many WIPs, I should finish a few of them so I can wear them. I’ve been knitting so much for the new babies in my life – both family and friends – that I have put down projects knit for me to make their gifts. But then I also see beautiful, soft, squishy yarn and start new projects, so I can’t just blame the babies…
Want to organize and finish many many WIPs. Want to try brioche knitting. Looks so complicated but beautiful at the same time.
Thank you for your generosity.
I’ll be working on a baby blanket for my new little nephew, and would also love to try color work for the first time 🙂
I would die to win! I have lost my motivation and some beautiful squishiness would help me get it back! I would make some sweaters!!
I would like to check off a shawl for myself, a pair of socks, hand warning gloves, and a sweater.
I hope to finally get brave enough to make myself a sweater. Plus I have two baby afghans to crochet. I’m also trying to learn to knit and am using Chandi’s beginner lessons. So far, I’m making a reasonable progress – I just need to carve out the time to practice!
I just want to knit more! But I have a hankering to knit socks and simple tops.
I’m planning to participate in several MALs. In addition to those, I hope to finish up several WIPs, and perhaps add in a few smaller projects – things that might take only a few days to complete.
Aside from one wedding gift afghan, I’m hoping to focus on smaller projects, like hats, cowls, and the occasional baby sweater. I can make all of these with stash and patterns I already have, ad making a dent in my stash would be wonderful! Maybe I need a new afghan for me, too …
This year, I want to make at least 2 pairs of socks, a bandanna cowl with the 100% alpaca I got for my birthday, and at least one Christmas present. I would also like to be more consistent with my crafting, and not work in such fits and starts.
I have never made anything aside from a shawl and a blanket, the rest have been amigurumi. This year, I’d really like to work on making a few sweaters/cardigans for my children. In order to do this, I really need to work on improving my skills as I have never blocked, used a stitch gauge or other needed/beneficial skills for making wearables.
My sister has been trying for years to get me into knitting, and I’m starting to feel like maybe I do want to try.
I want to crochet several shawls and scarfs, some for me and some my family members, complete an afghan for my dad, and I would also like to learn how to knit.
I would love to make two things: a beautiful cardigan and a mosaic technique blanket! 😊😊😊 Happy 2026! 🎉🎊🎉🎊
I want to make a couple more reversible kids scarves for the littles in my life.
My goal for 2026 is to finish my first two tops (one of which is a pattern from EFA!) & then make more to better customize my wardrobe offerings.
Simply adoring all these shades and textures together. They have the look of Spring about them and remind me of why Spring is my favourite season (she says, sweltering in 38ºC heat here in Australia). I’m always on the look-out for patterns employing light-weight cottons, linen, hemp, silk for use in the warmer months. Moongleam has been the perfect yarn for that but I’d like to see what the Oscilla cotton can do as well. Patterns that say Spring or Summer would be wonderful.
I can see socks and spring shirts in the future! You are such an inspiration for creativity. Happy 2026!
This year I’d really love to finally try a project by Herbert Niebling. His designs have been on my list for a long time, and the purple and pink in this yarn set are especially close to my heart — they’re my favourite colours 💜🌸
Wishing everyone a wonderful New Year, lots of kilometres of beautiful yarn and plenty of finished projects ✨ And hopefully this will be the year I finally start the shawl cardigan I’ve been planning for about three years now 🙈
More socks!
Happy New Year!
Cowls, t-shirts
A couple sweaters, a fun colorful shawl, thrummed socks, and a cozy pair of woolen gloves are all at the top of my want-to-knit-soon list 🙂
I want to make 7 similar but different projects for me and each of my sister’s. I want them to have the same color scheme to remember our mother by.
Hi! This year, above all, I want to finish the sweater I’m currently working on. I also have plans to make two hats and a pair of gloves. Warm regards.
I’m ready to up my skill range, I can see LOTS of possibilities….
This year I will have alot of medical appointments and so I would like to knit a cardigan to take along to cozy up in. I need a nice simple pattern to follow. I’d also like to try my first pair of knitted socks! Such a pretty yarn selection! 💐 🧶
I promised myself that this year I will finish all my wipes!
I’m looking forward to crocheting some neat projects this year.
I’d like to get back to knitting sweaters this year, particularly sweaters with all over color work. I took a deep dive into socks last year, which was great, but I’m a garment knitter at heart. ❤️
I’m hoping to crochet some wearables for myself. I’ve gifted all of my projects so far! As I dislike shopping for myself, I’m inspired to create some pieces that reflect my style, creativity and favorite colors.
Hi, Chandi! Shawls, shawls and more shawls!
I’m looking forward to making ANY type of project this year. I’ve been so busy I haven’t had time to crochet lately, so I’m really looking forward to buying some luscious yarn and cozying up with my kitties and crocheting a few weekends away! I want to finish a cardigan, a few amigurumi animals I’ve promised people, and maybe a sweater or shirt!
Make sweaters and summer tops
I plan to knit mostly socks this year.
I am already working on shawls for myself this year; but long term I want to learn how to make socks, I want to make a flowy beach coverup, and I want to make some cuddly pullovers.
Anything that will help me get through some of my superfluous yarn stash!
I’d like to make more sweaters!
It isn’t so much what I want to make, but how i want to make it. I want to stop focusing on producing quantity, and I want to slow down and enjoy the process. I want to savor every stitch!
For me, 2026 is the year of blankets!
I just want to make beautiful things this year. Blankets, shawls, sweaters, etc.
Mastering the art of socks! I make all sorts of items for the body but get intimidated by socks for some reason, haha. A GOOD FRIEND retired from volunteering FULL TIME at Best Friends out in Utah. She worked tirelessly for decades with the animals- no boring admin work as she was a devoted human to love and care for those who needed it. She still continues to foster and help socialize those who need her. Thank you for supporting the organization
I will be making all kinds of things this year, crochet, knit and woven, shawls, scarves, bags, hats… who knows what else.
Sweaters or vests and learning new CO and BO
My plan this year is to use up some of my stash and make some shawls or wraps for my friends. They will be Christmas gifts. it will help give me some more room in my craft room and also bless my friends with a warm wrap for them. Along the way I will probably get distracted and make other things but that the fun of working with yarn!!!
So many things to ponder making…. Getting into shawls, simple sweaters showcasing the yarn, complex knits to work my brain and fingers. Another sweater for my husband.. I made him one for Christmas that he won’t take off!
Always socks, mittens, cowls, short projects.
Some charitable knitting for Loops of Love.
Bold colors, calming pastels.
This is a year of knitting transformatios!!
Shawls
I have 4 baby blankets to make for my 4 great Grandbabes that are coming this year and one wedding of a Grandchild afghan to make. Such a busy year.
Cardigans and Socks and Cowls and all the warm squishy things!
I am working on sweaters now and maybe some hats and bags for summer. I usually try to do a few knitted knockers in between bigger projects.
A few special birthday gifts!
I have already made one of your shawls. Next I want to make your Princess Diana shawl
I need more cardigans and sock.
I am always making something for someone else, this year I need to make more for me.
I plan to make 4 garments this year.
I would like to try my hand at sweaters and socks. I have only made shawls, and ponchos. I would love to have a pair of handmade socks.
Maybe if I’m lucky my mom will see this and make me a pair. She loves your yarn and website.
I would love to knit a couple of sweaters and some baby blankets.
I’m finishing the Creery sweater and learning how to knit. I’m doing a shawl to wear to my son’s wedding this summer. I’d like to do some lightweight cardis as I live in the south and have to be careful in the sun.
I want to finish two garments this year. And all the other things.
I’m really hoping to make my 1st sweater this year. And I’d love to do a KMAL on a smaller project like a cowl or hat. Something without the stress and pressure of had to meet timeliness and cost . This may be a good year to go back to older patterns I’ve always wanted to knit like the Pancho/sweater I’ve loved for years. Swancho I think you called it Konigssee or Kaleidoscope with the beautiful slip stitch color work.
I’m planning to finish a shawl project and I’ll be making some fun small items to go on a autumn wreath. I’m also planning to make a baby blanket.
I want to learn how to knit a sweater! My crochet skills are pretty advanced but I’m a beginner knitter and I’d love to improve this year.
I want to make projects I’ll actually finish – a blanket, a couple cardigans and some socks – and maybe branch out into new things like colorwork.
I’m looking forward to overuse hand pain going away so that I can make a bunch of shawls and sweaters this year!
I love your yarn. It is so nice to work with, and makes up so beautifully. This year I hope to make a cardigan or a pull-over sweater for myself. I’d love to wear a sweater I made along with the scarves, shawls, and fingerless gloves I’ve already made.
I really want to work on more sweaters and finally get the hang of socks!
I’m just looking forward to having time to make ANYTHING! I have a sweater I need to make for a friend and want to make another pair of socks.
Hello!
Thank you for that wonderful giveaway!
This year i would like to knit myself some sweaters!
