A little of both; I start one project and then another one entices me, so the first one goes on the back burner. So I have multiple going but only one actively being worked on.
I typically am a one project at a time girlie… that being said. I do have a couple unfinished projects 🤣
I only ever mean to have one project at a time, but somehow there’s always a reason to cast on more!! Like now, I’ve been working on the Scarlet Cardigan for months, but Comic Con is this weekend and my girlfriend and I both need accessories!
Those colors are soooo beautiful. They give “bye summer, hello fall” vibes. Im usually both but if I loose to yarn chicken🤭, it ends up going to the WIP pile and I start a new one. Currently im knitting a sweater but i do have an unfinished granny square cardigan and a crochet tapestry throw blanket. Normally, I like to work only 2 projects at a time, one thats for working at home and one project that’s “portable”, so I can work on it while im out.
I am a one project at a time person. I like to focus on one and finish it quickly and move one to something else. At the most I have two, but very rare.
As much as I would like to say I am a one project at a time gal, I’m like a dog who sees a squirrel. Very easily distracted by the next cute, lovely, stunning, pattern. I love yarn, and right now I have about 7 WIP’s. Hopefully, they will all be done in time for the recipeints. 🙂
I usually have a few projects I rotate between!
I always have at least two projects going, including a pair of socks on my needles.
I have so many on the hooks right now that baby blankets will certainly become grandbaby blankets!
I have 2 crochet and 2 knit projects going right now. Plus I’m gathering onion skins and avocados to dye some yarn someone gave me
Do you guys sell bare yarn? Is that even something you would consider? Would that change the price of the yarn?
Oh these colors are so fun and happy! They make me feel like I’m at the circus, one last fun hurrah before school starts.
I have three or four projects on the go at the same time. Some are easier than others depending on the mood I’m in or how the kiddos are feeling.
I try and have as few projects at a time as I cannwith more than two or three I worry about tying up the needles I need for another project!
As a small crochet business owner, every ball of yarn makes a difference. Winning this giveaway would help me reduce material costs, create more handmade items for my customers, and invest more into growing my craft. It would be an incredible boost for my small business, and I’d be so grateful for the opportunity.
Sooo many projects currently, but soooo many to start 😂
I always have several projects on the go. I always need one complex for learning something new and at least one for on the go.
I have multiple projects going at a time…and usually another dozen waiting to be finished
Several years ago, I converted to a several-WIP-at-a-time knitter. I love having a choice of things to work on, and that I have another project ready to work on when I finish something.
D’habitude je ne travaille que sur un projet a la fois mais avec les chaleurs j’ai du faire autres choses de plus léger et moins chaud. 😂
I usually have 1-2 projects going at once. If I give up on one for a bit, it will be months before I go back to it, so I try not to start too many things!
Currently continuing the Tour de Fleece, with the Tour de Fleece Femmes
Spinning up a storm
knitting, crochet, spinning and teaching all the crafts to others is my game
and I’m loving it, just as much as I love your company and your communications
I have multiple projects going at any given time.
I currently am working on 7 projects! I always have one of your shawl patterns going-currently Find Your Path. I have made three (all silk) of these so this will be my 4th! I also have Winter Wishes Scarf (crocheted), a MKAL, 2 cowls, Siren Song (knitted shawl using your silk) and a knitted top. I usually have 3/4 going but I got carried away! I always take one of my projects on the go.
Thanks for keeping me busy and out of trouble (except for buying your gorgeous yarn LOL)
These colours are so bright and inspiring!
I’m definitely a multiple patterns type. I have three on the go right now – knitting socks and a shawl, and crocheting a scarf with a new-to-me stitch.
As a newer knitter I don’t have a lot of needles to cast on multiple projects but I think I will eventually as I expand my tool set! There’s also a matter of space to keep them all haha.
I am a one at a time type of gal!!! I wish I could do more than one project at a time. There is so much I want to knit and crochet.
I try to only have one project on the go at a time but it never seems to go that way. Often the lure of another beautiful yarn or exciting pattern just becomes far too much to resist, and another project bag gets added to the mix. At last count I have 9 projects on the go 🥴
I do try to do one project at a time, but that does not always work. At the moment I have 9 projects on the go and this allows me to move from one project to another if I get bored and want something simple.
Multiple projects on the go, knitting at least 4 things , weaving and spinning projects all underway as well!
It’s been a very wet wet wet summer here in the Inner Hebrides and we have long dark winters so its great to have a lot of projects to occupy me if I can’t get out and about, but even then, some knitting is always with me!
Hi Chandi and Team, I wish to confess I am NOT a monogamous knitter 😱🫣🤣♥️ but I’m having fun, enjoying all of them, and that’s what counts! Hugs and all the best! 🤗🙏♥️ And thank you!
I have few projects
I have so many on the go. I just love starting projects
I always have a few projects on the go as it depends on whether I’m in the mood for crochet or knitting, something simple where my brain can switch off for a bit or something more challenging.
What beautiful colours.
To answer your question: I’m a 2 project at a time person. I always have a pair of socks on my needles; that’s really portable and goes everywhere with me. The socks after a test knit.
Then I’ll have a bigger project on the needles. At the moment it’s Chestnut by Marie Wallin.
I’m a one project at a time sort of person. But that doesn’t stop me from buying supplies for other projects. Hoo boy, no.
I always have a minimum of two projects on needles. One is a ?hooded baby sweater from a pattern I have been knitting since 1977! The other is a king size wedding afghan that quickly becomes too large to take anywhere.
Definitely have too many projects on the hook at once. Trying to finish one before I start something new.
I wish I could be a monogamous knitter, but I have 22 WIP’s on my needles / hooks right now..
Right now, I have only 3 projects on the needles, after I finished a sweater for the grandkid the other day. I always have several projects going: something larger, usually a sweater, something easy for watching TV or chatting, something with more interest/challenge, a take-along project … once, I’d have 10 projects on the go, but these days, I find myself crowded by so many wips and try to keep the number down.
Thank you for offering another fabulous giveaway! I usually have three projects going at one time. One larger one, such as a blanket or garment, always a shawl or a scarf, and then something for charity, usually knitted knockers or a chemo cap. Any more than this and my brain cannot keep the different patterns straight. Any fewer and my fingers get fidgety, looking for more variety.
Thank you so much for your unfailingly positive messages. I am a multi-project knitter with 5-6 projects on the go. This gives me variety and knitting for every situation. Plain stuff for car trips and complex projects when sitting quietly at home.
I always have a few projects going on my hooks. Variety is the spice of life!
I’m a multi project at a time person … but have been successfully slowly getting my number of projects down to a more managable level … simple rule 2 finishes and only 1 new start …. Have also been keeping a notebook of projects and progress as well as new ideas for projects … some of which I need to get the ideal yarn for … so have also been slowly building up a yarn fund … it is really hard being on a super tight budget
I think I will never be capable to have only one project…at least 7!
I have two on my needles. One is a sweater with a complicated lace pattern in the yoke that requires concentration. The other is a simple stockinette cardigan for when I want to knit but can’t devote all of the brain space to the other project.
Multiple WIPs at a time over here! I always have a few knitting and a few crocheting projects at any given time going. I may get frustrated or bored with one and need to change it up. I also have a project in different locations, such as one in the car and one at work for those days I have to stick around late but am off the clock for a bit. I feel more comfortable having multiple to choose from and feel the need to go down a Ravelry rabbit hole looking for something new if I don’t! Lol!
Right now I have two different projects going at the same time.
Hey yall! I’m definitely a person that has more then one project going at a time. Thanks for all that you do.
I almost always have a few projects going at once! Something simple for bedtime and another of meetings at work with the more complex ones saved for when I have time.
Beautiful Email.. thanks. My knitting is wonderfully a recharge experience, especially when my knitting bags are all sorted with all I need in each. I have 5 projects on the needles now. One is my first pair of socks. Each sock on its own set of needles being knitted at the same time.
Sometimes one, sometimes more.
I have too many WIPs. Sometimes I get through smaller projects in one go but I like to have the ability to switch with larger ones
Definitely more than one at a time! I like to have a mindless project for tv/car knitting, a more complicated project to challenge my brain, and something crochet to use a different hand position.
I have several projects on the go right now. But I seem to gravitate to working on only one at a time. Those are especially beautiful colours in this month’s giveaway contest.
One at a time
Good morning!
2 projects at a time is my limit. One is usually a knit project, and the other is always a crocheted blanket. Anymore than that and nothing will get finished.
O have several WIP.
I have many of each still and a massive queue of patterns
I always have more than one project going. Usually socks and a sweater, and always some neck accessory (scarf, cowl, or shawl).
What a beautiful collection of colors! I am a multi project person with a set so socks always in the mix, an on going blanket seems like a forever WIP and then the items that just seem to finish way to quickly!
That is a lot of Summer color! Lovely as always. One project at a time on the hook while usually planning the next.
I have tried to only have one project at a time, but somehow I end up with multiple WIPs going. 😆
Hi Chandi,
Love the emails & texts, and seeing all of the
Beautiful patterns! To answer your question, I like to think I’m one project at a time… but truth be told, there are projects stashed away, here & there… and some so long that I forgot which hook I was using! My arthritis prevents me from crocheting as much as I used to, and would like. But I still have to work things up now & again. Thank you. Kat L.
Definitely a multiple project person. Usually a sock and a shawl. Now including a blanket.
I try to stick to one project at a time, but a big part of the thrill of knitting for me is in the planning. Sometimes, I can’t resist moving onto the next project before I’ve finished my current WIP!
I usually have at least 2 projects going but only 1 crochet and 1 knit. Sometimes I have to stop those usual projects and start a 3rd for a special request or occasion, though. Then the others wsit!
I like to try to finish one project at a time but I usually have at least two going at one time to keep me from becoming too frustrated or overwhelmed with a WIP.
I usually have a few projects going, but try to restrict myself to four or less!
I’d enjoy working one project at a time with your gorgeous yarn!
I have a few🤭
I am a monogamous knit/crochet stitchtician. I work from scratch without patterns, and seldom start with more than a vague concept, like USE THE PREEETY YARN TO MAKE SOMETHING, and notetaking and I are anathema to each other. Yrying to work on more than one on-the-fly project is too much for my oversized, but underfilled, brain conveyance device to handle. Especially with the limited time I have for knitting. If’s sometimes days between my hour to two hours sessions. If I split them up between several projects, I’m sure I’d spend more time trying to remember what was going on with each project than actually knitting.
I did experiment with adulterous knitting for a knit-along, and even had 5 projects going at once, but they were all pretty basic. I enjoyed the experience, but haven’t done it again. These colors scream Summer Romance to me. Thank you for your constant generosity.
I usually have upwards of a dozen (or two) projects going at a time. Something to keep in the car when I’m stuck in traffic, something to take for meetings and waiting rooms, something complex for working in the peace and quiet of home, and the things for gifts. Different projects for different moods and mental needs.
Chandi, I’m the multi project person.
I’m a one-project at a time person. With books, Im the opposite. My to be read pile is ridiculous!
I’m teaching my nieces how to make prayer shawls and this would be perfect for them.
I usually have two projects going at one time. It keeps me from getting bored or feeling like I’ll never finish.
Hi! I’m typically a one project at a time knitter but earlier this year I had birthdays for two special people and put my project on hold to knit a shawl and blanket for their special days. ❤️🧶
What lovely yarn! Thanks for the opportunity to win!
I usually have one hat on my needles, but you made me think that with a little bit longer needles, I could probably do two at a time. Ha! I also have some projects going that are experiments. Usually when I am working on gifts, I focus everything on them.
Have a great knitting day!
Barbara
Normally I have multiple projects going at once. At least one knit, one crochet, and a car type project. Gives me the freedom to switch if I’m just not feeling a certain one that day to work on.
I usually focus on one project at a time, except if I’m travelling, then I might start a smaller & simpler project to take on the road!
I am a one project at a time kinda girl. I enjoy the process of watching my project grow and take shape, I like the excitement of nearing the end and knowing I’ll soon be wearing it.
Hi Chandi and friends!! I used to be a one project at a time person, but now I get too excited about too many things just to have one. So it’s 3-4 projects right now for me 🤩🧶
I usually have only one project going at a time, when there are more in process I get anxious!
I usually have 2-3 projects on hooks but focus on one till it is completed.
Actually, I have nothing on my needles right now. I’m usually a “One big project” and a few smaller ones at a time type of knit/crochet person. But…I’m also a dabbler, and have my fingers in some different crafting pies(projects) right now.
I am definitely a three to four project gal. 🙃 I tried doing only one project at a time but couldn’t resist to start something else. I alternate between knitting and Crochet, easy and more involved patterns depending on my mood. 😊
I have three projects I rotate through depending on the mood I’m in. I have two more at the ready and if I win this giveaway of incredible yarns, I’ll likely have at least two more projects started. Hahaha!! 😂
I tried to be a 1 project at a time knitter….just joking!
Wonderful happy colors!
I’m normally a 1 project at a time person, but once in a while I’ll start a second, but so hard for me to find time for both with work & family.
Ugh I always have more than one project on my needles and just recently had to “steal” the needles from one project to finish a new one!?! 😳 But it’s almost finished and then will finish the second one. I started a prayer shawl ministry at church and will now always have more than one project going.
I have waaaay too many UFO’s & WIPS, and am ashamed to say how many (but it is over 20). Too many SQUIRRELS out there! And blankets take a long time to work on….so I have to divert my attention sometimes. Then there are the 500+ 2″ granny squares that I have never put together to make the blanket…..I will NEVER do a project like that again! Being relatively new (compared to many people out there in the yarn world) to my yarn obsession with knitting and crocheting, just teaching myself less than 10 years ago, I have learned so much about myself along the way….like never attempting 2″ granny squares for a Queen sized patterned blanket made with gradient yarn!!! That project has sat in TIME OUT for over 6 years! Now days, with all those WIPS behind me, tucked away in bags or wherever they have been parked, I try to stay focused on ONE project at a time…..which usually equals about 3 at a time. I am so ambitious & have so many patterns, dreams, and notebook pages of NEXT projects on my To-Do list that I will have to live for all eternity to get them all into FO’s! But I never quit working toward that goal….working almost DAILY, sometimes 18 hours at a time. I am totally obsessed with my love for fibers and the arts. It has become a great little business and ministry that absolutely thrills my soul. P.S. Thank you so much for these most generous and beautiful yarny giveaways! You are wonderful & so inspirational! I blame you for many of my SQUIRRELS mentioned above! 😀
I have more than a few projects going at the same time – can’t help myself.
I am always excited to start a new project and they tend to run into one another -a lot! But I do get them completed -even the re-do’s!
I have a small business and so have several projects going at once depending on what items I’m low on. I save your yarn for the special wearables. The first one I did was with your crema sock and it sold at the very first show! I love using your luscious yarn!!!
I have found that for me to finish my projects I need to work on one at a time. I love so many projects— the style, the yarn, my gift-making—I want to make it all, and can get distracted so easily. Best for me to concentrate on each one, I think
I’m a many projects on many needles and hooks type of girl! But some take priority!
Wow! What lovely colors!! I would love to share these with members of my yarn group.
I have several going at all times, and a few that are priority, others for fun brain breaks. I just can’t help filling empty needles 🙂
I usually don’t start a new project until I’ve finished the previous one. I’ve tried, but I have this strange feeling that the ones I’ve set aside are a bit like children left without care;)
I have three ongoing projects, two knit and one crochet. I do tend to concentrate on one until it is done, but sometimes I just need a change of pace!
I have several projects in the works, socks, sweater, work along projects… 😁 And I am planning to cast on another sweater this month.
All the projects all the time. If i have empty needles im probably starting another project when i should be finishing one of 5 others 😂
I usually have some sort of top or sweater going and one pair of socks!! I also have one abandoned project and one scrappy blanket on the needles that I add my sock scraps to occasionally. Love colors in this giveaway, breathtaking! Thank youl
I’m very much a one project at a time crocheter!
Such beautiful colors of yarn!
I am definitely not a monogamous crafter. I have probably 20 or so WIPS right now, both knitting and crochet, and I’m perfectly fine with that.. I just love to cast on and start something new. I do sometimes pick out a whip and finish it and feel great when I do.
Thank you Chandi for doing the giveaway! I am definitely a multi project person. As soon as I finish one thing, I’m starting another and I don’t care how many WIPs I have! I need to work with all the beautiful yarn!
Sometimes I’m a one project at a time person and sometimes I have two or three projects going, it often depends on how complex my main project is. If it’s too complex I don’t always want to be working on it while I’m out and about so I save that for when I’m able to focus for longer periods of time and have a simpler, more straightforward project ready for when I’m needing to pay attention to others around me or if I need to be able to pack up and go quickly. Right now I only have one project going, but hopefully I’ll be winding the yarn to cast on a second project today!
When I began knitting, I was definitely a one project at a time girl. But later on, I read that knitting different projects during the day was good for your hands because it changed which muscles were being used. Now after 14 years of knitting, I have multiple projects on needles, not for health reasons, but because I love casting on and seeing a new design come to life. Truth be told, I honestly want to knit them all and my outrageously large stash will let me try to do that!
One project at a time!
I am usually a one-project-at-a-time person, except when working through an EFA MCAL!! The list of to-do projects is never ending!
Oh my goodness, the kitty cowl is so adorable, and makes me want to try knitting again!
I have two projects on the go right now.
I always have multiple projects going – both knit and crochet plus spinning. I have a small knit or crochet project that is ready to take when I’m in a car, or waiting for an appointment which doesn’t have a deadline. And crochet afghan that is complicated and stays at home in a basket for nights when I want to listen to an audiobook and relax. Plus a knit or crochet project I’m making as a gift with a deadline. And often a garment I’m making for myself that I will wear in a couple of seasons, like 4-6 months from now.
I’m usually a multi-project person. I find having only one project doesn’t keep me going and and put projects to the side.
I usually have multiple projects going on at a time. I would like to get it down to one big project and one smaller project at a time but for now I have multiple of each!
I have a million projects going of all kinds 🤣
I mostly focus on one project at a time, but I do occationally have one or 2 WIPS sitting around. I also try to buy yarn when I’m ready for a project, not just because I love it. Mostly just because I’d have rooms and rooms full if I let myself.
I’ve always got more than one project ready to pick up and work on.
I’m always working on at least 3 projects at a time. I like to mix it up and work on different projects at once.
I have a serious case of knitting ADD. I’ve never had only one project in the works, because as I’m knitting I’m dreaming up new ideas and I frequently get so excited about the new design in my head that I have to start playing around with it immediately. And while I’m doing that, my mind jumps ahead and I have even more ideas that need experimentation. And so it goes. Now and then I actually finish a project.
I currently have three WIPs I’m working on! One for a friend’s birthday, one for a donation fundraiser, and one for myself. (:
I always have a few projects on the go. That way, depending on my mood, the amount of focus I have and the occasion, I can pick the perfect option!
Love the give away this month, beautiful colours!
I have a few projects on my needles at the moment.
I’m a multiple projects knitter!
I think I’ve always been ‘a one-project-at-a-time person’!
I am definitely a multiple projects going at one time crocheter.
I think I’ve always been a ‘one-person-at-a-time person! I already entered & posted my comment but it didn’t show up at all. No comments whatsoever. Hope it’s ok – I went back and repeated the process. My mom was always a great sewer! It’s something I never attempted, but admire greatly!! 😊
I’m a one project at a time such person.
Beautiful colors!! So excited to enter! 🙂 I have several projects going at once, at all times! My mood changes each day in regards of what I like to work on, but I love them all! 😁
Definitely have multiple projects going at one time. I enjoy bouncing between projects
I like to have 3 or 4 projects on the needles at one time. I work about 10 rows or rounds on one project then I move on to another project.
I am a one knitting project at a time creator. I find that having one project on the needles helps to keep me on task. It keeps me motivated to reach the finish so I can move on to the next project and working with the next bunch of beautiful yarns. I must admit that I do have other projects running at the same time. I also enjoying beading and have multiple projects in the works at the same time. I love seeing my knitting and beading projects come to life and transform from a few piles of color into an exquisite piece of art ❤️
Always more than one on the hook or needles at a time!
I am a multiple project at once person! Currently have a knitted sweater to seam, a crocheted cushion, a quilt, and tatting samples to finish. No time to be bored, for sure.
Always more than 1 project on the go! Knit, crochet, big blanket, small baby sweater, always something different depending on my mood and circumstance!
I’m a two or more projects going at the same time type of knitter. And the colors of yarn for this month are stunning!
I was a one only project knitter. Right now, I have two color ways going in the same project. I also want to swatch for a winter project, so I may have three.
Oooh a few.
I like to have at least one knit, one crochet going at all times so I can create whatever strikes me when I have time!
I’m most assuredly not a one project at a time person. I’m more productive over time if I can change things up as the mood strikes. And that isn’t limited to knitting and crocheting, it includes photography projects, home projects, etc.
A few, different levels of thinking and concentration or different people they are being made for. Something for all the different feels!
That blue is the perfect color for the blanket pattern I want to do. Where you did gold to sew the squares together I want to do the blue. I can’t wait to start crocheting. Thank you for being a great influence on me and for following your dreams, if you didn’t we wouldn’t have such beautiful yarn and gorgeous patterns to work up.
Definitely one at a time! I get stressed otherwise lol.
One project at a time for me. Otherwise my UFOs would grow up and leave home, never to be heard from or seen again! Love your generous giveaways, thank you!
I always have multiple projects going. In both knitting and crochet. I’m a loyal MCAL & MKAL participant!
I have a few that I’ve started but, definitely can only do one at a time.
I usually stick to one project at a time. I feel like it allows me singular focus that ensures I finish. Also, having more than one project on at a time feels like having more than one kid and I would feel guilty if I enjoyed spending my time with one over another!!
I’m largely a monogamous knitter! But sometimes I have a few active projects depending on my mood.
I love your yarns, the amazing color works, and the inspirational sayings.
Such lovely colors! 😍 I have a few projects on the hook at the moment.
I have several projects on the hook at a time. I like the variety but try to limit to no more than 3 active projects going at once.
I tend to focus on one project at a time, but I will have a couple of WIP that I have put aside and forgotten about. That becomes a problem if I also move the hook from the unfinished project, then can’t recall what I was using! Or, I didn’t adequately note the row I was on when I stopped!
Thanks for the. Inspiration! I generally only have one project, seems to be socks, but do have a hat in progress today as well.
I start out being a one at a time project person, then get distracted and work on something else I feel needs to get done sooner. Those projects typically get done and then I go back to other projects I set aside.
I am a one project at a time type of person. If I have any more then 2 on at a time it starts to stress me out 😅
I’d like to say I’m a 2-project at-a-time knitter – one simple that I can work on while watching TV, chatting, or traveling and the other more complicated to work on when I’m more focused. The truth is that I have too many WIPs going on right now so I have promised myself to finish at least 2 before casting on anything else (unless of course I find out someone is having a baby – can’t resist an excuse to make baby things!).
Mostly one project at a time is my focus. Currently I have 2 WIPS. A scarf for myself to learn a particular pattern. Then I will knit that pattern again in lace weight for a friend who has requested I knit a scarf for her using that skein. A year ago I started an afghan. Then life took my focus. I recently picked up that afghan again. Each block is a different crochet stitch combination. I’m enjoying having one knitting and 1 crocheting project at the same time.
I usually have 2 projects going at the same time: right now I’m crocheting a tendril shawl using Waltz of the Flowers and finishing a lapghan using velvet.
I usually have one knit and one crochet project going at a time.
I am a multi-project, multi-craft type of person who has a little bit of a lot of things on the go at all times. 🙂
I sometimes get bored with all of my hobbies. Whether it’s knitting, cross stitching, or reading, I always have at least 3 active projects!
I always have a few projects going at once 😆 Dome are smaller and easier to take one the road, some are just so u can switch up colors or patterns when one project starts to feel stale.
I’m definitely happier with multiple projects, at various stages and difficulties with various yarn weights and stitches. I have a desk project to help me focus on Zoom calls; a travel project in a fine weight that I can take with me and work on while chatting with friends; a large and complicated blanket that I work on while listening to audiobooks or watching tv; and a few others I can rotate to if I’m feeling stuck or bored.
I often have several projects going.
I have signed up for your August giveaway and I would love to win because it’s my birthday this month. Thank you for being so generous with your customers. I always have many projects going. I am a knitter, crochet, embroidery, spinner for 40 years and occasionally write a pattern.
According to my knitting notebook…..I have 9 unfinished projects. 2 or 3 are close to being done, so it’s not that bad! However, I plan on starting my birthday knit today since August is my birthday month….and then I need to start a shawl to have it done in time for knitting retreat in September.
I have several on my needles right now.
Sigh….. I don’t have enough fingers to count all the WIPs I have… Knitting, crocheting, sewing, quilting…… Huge sigh……
I always have a couple going.
I’m a one-at-a-time project person. I have a hard time working on multiple. Your yarns are so pretty!
Unfortunately I have many WIPs lying around, currently 3 knitting projects (2 are sweaters and it is too hot to touch right now, one is a bamboo cotton shawl so much more doable), 2 crochet projects (a shawl in cotton and the Arcoiris MCAL). Trying to finish the knitted poncho for my daughter this week. I also printed 2 other projects I saw and are contemplating. I think I need ADD meds.
I used to be a one crochet WIP at a time gal. After learning to knit, I have a couple knitting projects and a crochet project going to give my hand muscles variety and to have something to work on as soon as I’m blocking an FO.
I was a one project at a time person in the beginning. Then I started designing and doing CAL’s & KAL’s and needed long term and quick projects. Something intricate, something mindless to do in the car, and commission pieces… and now I’ve set aside too many and forgotten half. ha! I might just need to go back to one at a time.
Despite diving deep into my WIP pile a couple years ago and committing to finishing as many as I could, I still have multiple projects on the needles/hooks. Just not as many as I used to!
I generally have a couple of projects going at once. Currently have a blanket, a cowl (both knit) and a crochet sweater I can’t seem to finish putting together. Blanket is too hot to work on right now so waiting for fall to hit so I can keep going, so the cowl is perfect for now.
Loving the bright, summery colors! I try to keep to one project at a time, though if I’m working on something larger (like a blanket) I will also pick up a smaller project to take a break from the larger one.
One project at a time? There are people like that? 😂. No, I usually have a primary project, but I usually have several going at once. Love your yarn colors.
I do many projects at the same time!
Oh Chandi…I believe you really outdid yourself on the August giveaway. The colors are simply gorgeous. So much I could do with these skeins and I’d share too!
I’m a complicated project for tv and a simpler project for reading and interacting with people knitter.
Just entered! I am a one-at-time person. Otherwise I would never finish! 🤣
Hi Chandi! To answer your question I’m definitely a one project at a time crocheter.
I’m usually a one project person. I can’t juggle too many knitting projects at once!
I have MANY projects going at once. I always see new patterns and drop what I am doing to start a new one. The most I’ve had at once was 10.
I have at least 4 projects going on right now! I think it’s great to have different ones in the rotation, that way if I get a little bored with one, I can pick up a different one and tease my brain!🥰
I have several projects going on right now.
I’m a one project at a time crocheter. I make myself finish a project before starting another so I don’t run the risk of never completing what I start. It’s a blessing and a curse!
I always have at least 3 crochet and 3 knit projects going!
Hi Chandi, I have a few projects going at this time…and at any time!
Thank you for this opportunity,
June Knight
I can never just have one project going at a time. I am constantly looking at new patterns, doing test swatches on my yarn stash, and starting another project whether I meant to or not!
My WIP’s are of varying degrees of difficulty, yarn and needle size, and pattern size (hat to sweater) so I can pick and choose between them depending on how I’m feeling on any given day 😊
I always tell myself I’m going to stick to one project, but somehow end up with multiple things going at once!
I absolutely love all of the yarns! I usually have 3 projects going at a time so if I get stuck or board I can switch it up a bit and then go back once my mind is wrapped around it again. My favorite is making shawls.
One at a time! But I have my next 5+ already mentally lined up!
I always ALWAYS have multiple projects! Some easy (no thinking!), some needing a bit of attention, one or two “Mathy” things (sweater w mods)… and that’s just for knitting! I also have a few of my own crochet patterns (totes, Reticules, dish scrubbies).
I think I need to start pairing up yarn (from stash) with an appropriate pattern!!!
However, your yarn giveaways certainly give me even more ideas!
Thank you!
I definitely have several WIPs going all the time!
One project at a time, when I’m busy. When its the summer vacation? Lots at a time for sure
I start with one and then add another, but try to go back and finish the first one I started. Usually pretty good about that, BUT i do have entrelec project that is sitting almost done for 8 years!! LOLOL
I typically do one project that I’m focused on, but if it’s big enough, and I need a break, I’ll do something small on the side.
I love your beautiful emails and the yarns you pick for each months giveaway. You are also a beautiful soul
G’morning Chandi! I tend to have more than one project going at a time.
I seem to have a few projects on the hook at any given time. So depending on my mood I can choose what I’d like to work on!
definitely *not* a monogamous crafter. there’s always a bunch of things going at once, that get attention depending on mood, availability, context, time of day, and so on. every so often there’s a lull where i’ve actually finished everything, and then for a few moments, have only one thing underway.
I always have at least a few projects going, I love variety!
Usually I have several WIPs on my needles. However, this year I have been working hard to finish current WIPs and transition to knitting only one project at a time.
I have so many WIPs going. I’m having to stop myself from starting another. I keep telling myself I have to finish a project before I can start another 😂
I’m a many projects in the works kind of gal. 😉
Hey Chandi. I actually have a few projects on my needles right now but I am leaning towards being a one project at a time knitter . I really don’t want to lose interest in what I have casted on so I am going to to stay laser focused on one project ☺️
What a wonderful “fiesta” of colours I see in this months giveaway. Reminds me of Mexican painted pottery. Thank you for your generosity, Chandi.
Hi! I have a couple projects in progress, a knitting one and a Tunisian crochet one.
The yarn is lovely!
Multiple projects
I like to stick to one project at a time, but since doing the year long kal I have at least 2.
I usually have 2 or 3 projects active at once and an alarming number in hibernation. How many is “alarming?” Let’s just say it was a major factor in realizing I probably have ADHD…
I have to have several projects of different skill levels going at a time! I read the same way, couple different books at a time.
USUALLY one at a time, but I’m working on a blanket club blanket, so I have to have a project in between monthly yarn deliveries. That project is a brioche shawl, which requires concentration, so I have to have a project for “crochet date night.” So, three right now. 🤣
I do tend to be one project at a time But if I’m knitting or crocheting a larger or a more complicated project then I have a pair of knit socks as well.
I get over whelmed if there are more that three projects and it stops being fun.
So interested in reading other crafters point of view.
I’m definitely NOT a monogamous knitter. I must have at least a dozen wips on the needles at the moment. I like to have a variety of projects so I don’t get bored.
I am definitely a one-project-at-a-time person! I would have trouble doing two or more projects at the same time.
I usually have 2 projects going at the same time. It helps me from getting bored.
I’m a one-project-at-a-time knitter.
I always have at least 2 projects going on at the same time so I can knit easy parts watching TV and knit more difficult parts when I can be more focused on details
What beautiful yarn!
I usually have at lest two wips going on, an amigurumi and a wearable. I mostly crochet.
Wow! These yarn colors are AMAZING! And perfect for use on different WIPs at the same time because I’m afraid I am one of those people who have far too many WIPs. It’s partly Chandi’s fault because I want to start immediately on each weekly pattern EFB publishes!
Am I a one-project at a time or do I have multiple needles, hooks, etc going at once…..I am a multiple tool, multiple project type of girl. I have knit socks on DPNs that are currently being worked and projects-on-DPNs-on-hold, crochet & knit sweater projects 90% done-on-hold, spinning wheel fluff in line to put my hands on next, and my Ravelry queue full of multiple projects with suspense dates through the end of year. I just love yarn-touching, fondling so much. I think current 5 projects on queue are Expression Fiber Arts projects with the suggested yarns in the project bags with the patterns.
I currently have socks, 1 knit top, 1 crochet top, and a shawl. I know there is one more but I can’t think of what it is. I’m out of town…visiting a relative with breast cancer. You have such beautiful yarn. It makes my day when I see your emails.
Hi! Oh I vacillate between one project and about 4 at a time….not sure if hibernating wips count in that, but it’s so difficult to stop doing more than one at a time with all the beautiful makes and yarn out there! Very hard to resist! 😬
I have at least 7-8 projects going. 2 are on hold until winter comes back. Both of them are too heavy to comfortably Crochet on during summer. So they are my winter projects to work on and they’re big enough now to keep my legs warm while I work on them. I’m always working on something. Every new stitch. I learned I practice in cotton and make it washcloth size. Then give them away at Christmas time the family members. My aunties love me. lol
I seem to have a pattern. I read multiple books at a time and I have a few wips at all times.
I tend to have more than one project going at a time. I love the yarn and the cowel Ive had cats since I was two years old I’m now 77. I love the way you write your introductions to your emails. They always make me smile Thank you
I’m usually dedicated to one project but have learned that having one harder project and one easier “minimal thinking” project is a good balance.
I can only handle one project at a time. If it’s a challenging project, I’ll do an easy peasy one to clear my mind.
I have a scarf on my loom to finish weaving, start sewing a blouse, and several projects to knit, a hat, more knitting and crochet samples, a cowl and some more weaving projects. Thank you for the chance to win some beautiful yarns,
Happy Sunday! I currently have five WIPS… 2 nearing completion, yay! That’s pretty normal for me…sometimes it’s more but rarely fewer.
I’m a two project at a time person. I keep one at home and one in the car. I was a multiple projects person but put my foot down to myself. Some would get finished and others, along with their hooks, would get hidden/lost. I decided just one at a time until it was finished unless an “emergency” came up like last minute baby shower. But sometimes I would leave it in the car and have to go retrieve it or leave it at the house and suffer through long appointments without anything. The solution that has worked for me for several years now, is to keep one at home and one in the car. I also keep a complete set of hooks, small scissors, tapestry needles, tape measure and stitch markers in both places. So I’m ready whenever and wherever. 🙂
I have so many projects in progress that I can’t even keep track. And I run across projects I completely forgot about every time I sort my stash!
I have more projects going than I probably even realize. Lol
I’ve tried to be a monogamous knitter, but there are just too many amazing yarns, patterns, and techniques out there. Multi-WIPs for the win! UFOs, take me away! 🥰
I have a few needles on the hook. I like to switch around between crocheting and knitting as well.
Right now I only have four projects, as I finished a cotton bath mat last night. I love switching between projects, as my interest or time/attention/travelability change. Time to start another project!
Mostly I work on one project at a time.
One project at a time…
Unfortunately I have too many WIPs. I try to work on only one item but then I see a pattern I want to try, or yarn I want to use and another item started. I always have at least two items working, one I can carry in the car and one larger or more complicated. I knit or crochet in the car, at the theater, at restaurants, at friends homes – almost anywhere.
Between crochet and knitting , I have maybe 4 WIPS, though one may not count because I keep changing my mind about the pattern and ripping it out.
I have just 2 projects in the works right now. I don’t like to start too many things as I get confused and then end up not working on anything!
I am a one project at a time girl.
I am a few projects at a time. After a little while I have to focus and get them all finished!
Definitely more than one project going at a time, so I can pick up what suits the mood/occasion.
OMG! The colors this month! That orange/fascia multi makes ny heart race!
I usually have a project that is my main focus and a few that are sitting off to the side. I cleaned a closet out this weekend and found a few forgotten projects!
Always have multiple WIPs going.
another month, another chance to win – so appreciate your generosity! i’m definitely a multiple projects at once type (WIPs and UFOs), though i’m trying to whittle down my to-do list faster than i add to it!
I have usually more than one project on the go. So I can pick up whatever my mood suits best.
I have always been a multi project person…I get tired of the project or a problems arises or a new pattern pops up…all great reasons to start a new project. But I turned 84 this year and am finally feeling mortal. I have decided to clear all my UFO’s and whittle my other projects only to those that I am actively working on (meaning at least once a week or so). Starting with about 20 odd projects, I am down to just one in knitting and 3 for quilting. And I have included notes on each of them, along with the patterns so that my daughters can take over or find someone who might want to take over if I pass. I still have a huge stash but am no longer starting new things until I finish what I have started. Of course my list of “future projects” along with suitable fabrics or yarns is growing by leaps and mounds.
Oh, my! Always the most stunning colorways on the best bases. Crossing my fingers to win, but whoever wins will be overjoyed!
I usually have multiple projects in various stages, some in the planning stage. I do try to finish something before I start something else, but have definitely been known to put something aside to come back to later, especially if I’m struggling with it. Right now I’m searching for the perfect pattern to use with the Arwen’s Gown silk fingering kit that I splurged on. I’m a hooker, can’t knit to save my life!
I’m definitely in the more the merrier camp. I have at least one crochet and three knitting projects on the go at any time.
I’m generally a multi-project person. Some in time out, some started but not finished due to arm pain. Also some are crochet projects & some are knit.
Always Multiple WIP’s!
I try to do one project at a time but occasionally it multiplies on it’s own.
What beautiful yarns! Thank you for these fun and generous giveaways. It’s one project at a time for me!
I am mostly one project at a time kind of girl. That said I have about 3 others that have been started (but not completely happy with) but still hold out hope that I will go back to them. I absolutely hate frogging so I will pick it up a few times before I give up on something.
Hey, Chandi!! I currently have 6 different projects going, and that’s only the knitted ones! I now have to live to be 300 years old so I can finish everything on my “create” list!!
I like to have multiple projects on the needles. I have at least one vanilla sock project, a more difficult project that take more brain power, and a not hard not easy project. and others that I just feel like adding in.
If I win yarn in a raffle, it doesn’t count as stash. Right?
I usually have one main project at a time, but also a few smaller projects going in case I need a break to work on something different.
I usually am a one project at a time you’re off know, but lately I have been have up to 3 different projects going at a time.
I’m definitely a multiple projects person…but I’m really trying to be more monogamous, it’s not easy, there’s way too many temptations…in fact I’m almost done with an EFA pattern I started January 2022!! No clue why I put it down, I enjoyed working on it and am enjoying it again.
Definitely a multiple project person. I generally have a couple of small projects that are easy to pick up for waiting rooms or appointments. There there is a large project that I work on in the evening while watching TV with my husband.
At the moment I’m a one at a time knitter.. but that may change at any point!
I definitely have a few projects on the hook. Hoping to do knitting soon.
I have more than 1 project going, but I like to focus on one at a time.
I always have many projects on my hook/needle at once.
Beautiful batch of yarn Chandi & team as always 💙 I used to be a one project person but that went away long ago. Have many in the works especially since donating, gifting, selling my makes.
Oh, I definitely have more than one project on the go!!! ‘Get bored with one, start another’ is my motto!
Love your site and all your support. I have learned so much here. I am rapidly becoming a multi-project person! So many patterns, so little time!
I always have a few projects going at a time. I especially like to have at least one knit and one crochet project going so that I can move between the different techniques. Knitting is usually slower and more difficult for me, so it is nice to have a few crochet projects to work on as well. That way when I get fatigued or frustrated with the knitting, then i can settle into crochet and rebuild/boost my mood. Also good for any kind of fiddly/difficult project that I need breaks from.
One at a time because it motivates me to finish as the reward is moving on to a new project!
Gorgeous, gorgeous yarn😍🤩I’m definitely a one project at a time person!
Thank you for the fun!!
I typically have 2 projects on the needles – a simple one that I can take with me on-the-go and another that requires more focus.
Definitely a multi project crafter. From where I am sitting I can see 3 and the yarn for at least 2 new projects to cast on.
I always have several projects that are yet to be completed:)
I generally have one crochet project and one or two knit projects (always a pair of socks!) In progress. Switching between them helps me to not overdo on either craft.
I always have a few projects at once
It depends. Sometimes I focus on one project, other times I work on two or three at a time – usually when one of the projects is too big, or when I need a quick project to bring outside in my bag, or when I’m working on something that tires me, for example detailed projects using very thin thread
I’m a multiple project at a time person. If I don’t have multiple things going on then I get bored way to fast. Every once in a while I’ll try to focus on a project to get it completed. Love how it keeps my creativity flowing. There’s just not enough time in the day for as much as I want to crochet!
I’m currently having to restrain myself to the 4 major knitting projects I have on needles right now 😅 so far it’s only because I don’t have a good yarn in the correct weight for the latest pattern to catch my eye. Hopefully, that’s going to change soon lol
Oh my gods, those colours!
I am definitely someone who has multiple projects going at once – and not only crochet, but art journalling, bookbinding, papercrafts, and resin works all at the same time!
I have multiple projects going, depending how much focus I want to give selects the project to work on that evening. 😊
Beautiful yarn! I usually have 3 projects going (sometimes more but I get anxious if I have more than 3), a short term project, either another short term project (hats for our local homeless shelter (it’s something I can knit when I don’t have the brain power for anything complicated) or one that will take maybe a month (baby sweater) and then one that I know will take a few months (baby blanket). I do have a 4th project at the moment, but no rush to finish it, it was a scarf KAL I was doing with a friend who was killed in a car accident about 5 years ago, so I work on it once in a while when I think of her, I’m in no hurry to finish it, I like to work on it occasionally to think of her.
Knitting is my self-care and I always have several projects of varying degrees of difficulty that I’m working on. Sometimes I need complicated lace, cables, and/or color work to keep my mind busy and sometimes a soothing stockinette when I’m exhausted and have difficulty focusing.
I used to be a one project at a time, but now have three wips. I like to sprinkle in some quick projects when I am working on a big one or working with thinner yarn.
You have such beautiful yarns and I would love to add these to my stash. I’m sure that I could make some beautiful garments with them.
Well, I’m like a (somewhat overweight) butterfly. I flit from project to project as my mood varies. Right now it’s shark week so I’m happy, in spite of the headache. Some weird neurological thing that limits tv. Currently I’m working on a hook case for my wooden hooks, and a test swath comparing different stitches, and a bralette that I might never have the nerve to wear. After all, I’m 70 and a tad, okay, very busty. So I do multiple projects running concurrently. It keeps me entertained, or at least completely baffled. I’m enjoying myself which is the main thing!
Every month I think that the giveaway yarns can’t get any better and every month they are just so beautiful!
I usually have several projects on the needles (and sometimes hooks). Currently only five, which is quite low for me. To be fair, I did just take two pair of socks off the needles because they just weren’t cooperating.
One project at a time for me!
For the last several years I have knitted a temperature blanket, so I always have at least 2 projects going — the blanket and a project I can carry with me. Often I have more than two; right now I have a pair of mitts and a shawl in my carry-along bag, as well as a skein of the yarn I want to use to make a vest for my husband, to swatch.
I get so overwhelmed with more than one project on the go! Though I do leave multiple “finished” projects that just need their ends sewed in sitting around. I’ll get around to the less fun parts eventually lol.
Most of the time I have several projects I’m working on at the same time.
There are just too many pretty things to be made and I like to have some alternation.
I’m a one project at a time person. That being said, I haven’t been knitting much lately as last year I took on a 2nd part-time job after a very stressful situation occurred making it difficult to find the focus and energy to put into a project. I finally started a small knitting project a couple of months ago but haven’t made much progress. I’m still working through a lot of emotions and hoping that before long I’ll get back to making more time for knitting again.
I want to thank you for creating the beautiful “And So She Bloomed” colorway. It came out at a time when I really needed it. When it was delivered and I read the card that came with it I cried so hard, but it was a very much needed release of emotion that I was holding in. Keep shining your light, I truly appreciate you!
Definitely one at a time. I don’t count the naughty WIPs that are hibernating until they learn to behave 😀
It’s a difficult question 🙂 I TRY to be “a one-project-at-a-time person”, but I don’t always succeed. I usually have more than one project in progress, but from different crafts (knitting, crocheting, embroidery etc)
I have several crochet & knit projects going at a time
I have managed to lessen my UFO/WIP numbers considerably, but I still always have at least a few things started/that I’ll get back to.
I’ve always got a few projects going at once. Something easy, and something more complicated.
Definitely a multi WIP crocheter. I do focus to finish a project. It’s just that I’ll see something I want to try and start it.
I always have multple projects going. Usually something bigger & more complicated to work on at home and shawls, hats, mittens or socks – smaller projects to work on during my breaks at work.
I got more projects up (and planned) than I can get to lol
I like to have 2 or 3 projects going at one time.
I always have at least one crochet project and one knit project going, sometimes multiples of each.
If I’m lucky I’m only working on one project at a time, but sometimes attention is stolen by some new shiny distraction that makes me set what I’m working on aside…
I love these beautiful bright yarn colors! I have too many WIPs: 4 blankets that I’m slowly working on, 3 tops that are basically finished except for construction and blocking, a few scarves and shawls that need blocking or ends woven in … I need to finish a few so I can start some new projects.
I usually have a few projects going at once. If I get stuck or bored with one, I can switch to another. I can go back to the on-hold one when I’m in a better frame of mind!
I have a couple of projects on the go, but one is my main project that I mostly concentrate on and the other is my car trip project.
Ohh, I have a LOT on both needles and hooks. And they are all-over-the-place, blankets, shawls, hats, amigurumi, a skirt and what not. But thats how I create. 😇🤪🤩
I always have 2-6 projects going at once. I mainly crochet so I like to have easy no thinking projects up to harder that need more concentration. Then I can pick the project to work on based on situation or mood!
I love the colors for this months give away! I definitely am someone that always has multiple projects going in at once, I need to keep switching off projects so they can stay exciting to me haha. Just recently started a new project for a friend and am so excited. Also just took on knitting so I am a very baby beginner knitter haha but have been crocheting for a few years now! Love these give aways, I usually can’t afford really nice yarn so this is a great opportunity for me. Thank you so much, I love your patterns and love free pattern Fridays as well!! Hope everyone has a lovely August ❤️
I’m a multiple project person, but not the same craft. I’m working on a crochet tablecloth with cotton thread. Also a memory quilt for a friend, made with blocks that her deceased sister made. She gave me a box of fabric , and didn’t know there were blocks in it. It will be a surprise. I’m also knitting a pair of socks.
I am a multiple project person. Currently 2 crochet prohect and 1 knit project running simultaniously. Planning to start tunisian crochet project soon.
I usually like to make things one project at a time but right now, I have THREE going and hope to finish these soon. It makes me a little anxious but it is a growth experience also in that I am finding the variety of projects interesting. The bottom line for me is that knitting anything makes me incredibly happy!
SO beautiful!!!
I am a MANY projects at a time maker 😀
I be am a monogamous knitter, more than one project started gives me anxiety. I feel like I’m neglecting something when I work on one and not the other!
I have about three projects on the go at the moment, so I have something different depending on what mood I am in – whether I want something challenging or really straightforward that I can just switch off and crochet 🙂
Congratulations to Kim Spear, winner of last month’s giveaway! Such beautiful yarns to choose from for so many projects.
Congratulations to Kim!!! I am definitely a multi project knitter, right now I have 6 projects going
I am currently working on three different projects.
If I find myself getting bored with one, I just switch to another for a bit.
I have a few projects going all the time. If im in the car I like a small easy project like a cowl. But if im home ill usually do a more complex project.
I have no less than 10 WIPs at a time…I need all of the options!
I’m a two or three project person. One is always something mindless to work on while watching tv.
I have several projects going at one time!
I always have multiple projects at the same time going. I’d love to share this with my family & create a beautiful blanket with these colors.
I typically focus on one project until it’s done. BUT… I have yarn purchase and stashed, with patterns in the bag, for future projects, that i really hope to get to some day.
I used to think I was a one project at a time person but with all the beautiful yarns I’ve acquired since finding expression fiber arts I have so many projects. I currently have 3 active projects and an additional 2 that are on the back burner
I currently have several projects going. One js the 2026 CAL and I also working on a couple of cardigans that I switch between so I don’t get bored.
Wow! Just want to cover myself in all this lusciousness! Currently am finishing up my increscent sweater and am beginning my horology! Just trying out how to incorporate beads into the pattern! Chandi – you are spoiling me for any other yarn on the maket!!!
Years ago I started out with one project at a time. That didn’t last long – I have numerous projects going at once so I can switch off and on from the complicated to the not so complicated.
Definitely a multi- project in works person. Reasons could be just gotta start that pattern, or a gifting opportunity or requested item, even weather affected (too hot to finish that blanket, fall is coming). Many reasons but most eventually get completed. MAL and CAL also add into this category too. My hook is used almost every day in the year, busy bee be me.
Definitely a one project at a time kinda gal, although when I retire from work I plan to have one knit and one crochet project on the go – for variety and to save my hands/wrists/etc from strain. Always love your giveaway colours! 💕
Beautiful yarn!
I won’t start another project until I finish the one I’m on. I need to give the current project all my attention… they are all made with love.❤️
I think I’m more of a one project person, but sometimes I give up on one before finishing and start another project.
I have so many projects throughout my house. I like to sit and reach for the nearest project when I get a chance. It takes me a while to finish, but its fun going back and forth on the different projects.
Most of the time I have just one project going on. Occasionally, I have a second one, but it’s rare.
Aways multiple WIPs, because: a) some are more portable than others, b) that’s a new stitch to try! c) oooh, that’s such a pretty color, d) of course, sis, I’ll join you in figuring out that amigurumi pattern, e) this is a perfect present for ****… need I go on? I’m also a writer, and people sometimes ask me: “Where do you get your ideas?” My first reaction (I try not to voice it anymore, because I don’t think it’s where they are really coming from)–“What, you don’t have any?”
As much as I want to be a one-project woman, I usually have two or three going at the same time. I try not to have more than that because I will inevitably forget about one and then find it months or years later and not know where in the pattern I was!
I generally have one crochet and one knit project going at once.
I TRY to finish one of each before starting another.
I Have so many WIP’s not only in knitting/crochet but also counted Cross stitch, needlepoint, weaving just to name a few. I can never have enough crafting and fiber is right there on top
Definitely a few at a time! I can’t seem to finish projects………. especially the weaving in part haha.
I am too ADHD to only have one thing going at once. The problem is when I end up forgetting about one of the ones I started and it sits in a bag for months before I peek in there and remember I had started it! In fact, last year I had to make a goal of finishing as many projects as possible, and I wasn’t allowed to buy more yarn until I had completed at least 4 projects. I lost count at some point, but I think I had completed 15 projects by August or September sometime.
I like to focus on one project at a time. ;0D I feel if I were to do the latter, I would become overwhelmed and the project(s) wouldn’t be my best work.
Always more then one
Definitely multiple projects, far too many. Usually alternate among three projects (needing different levels of concentration). Very excited that I finished one yesterday and have promoted another into the active group.
I only have one project going at a time… but I have about a million waiting in the wings, with yarn and patterns picked out waaaay in advance 🙈 if I’m traveling though I’ll sometimes start a smaller item so that I don’t have to lug around a giant WIP!
I am getting back into knitting – it got put away for almost two years, I think I was like the lady in the commercial on TV who didn’t want to communicate with the world.
But I finally got back to the world and had almost 2000 unread emails, and I didn’t read they, just the 97 most recent. I made a beanie hat which I felted, and now I have two projects on the needles.
So many projects at one time!! Usually one main larger project that I work on at home, one “travel” project that lives in the car for when I’m waiting somewhere, one simpler project for working on with a group that does not require much counting/pattern reading, and then some smaller quick fun makes that I come across and get excited to start and don’t have the discipline to finish other project before starting the quickie project.
I always have multiple projects going.
Ooh very fire and ice!
I have several going on, I get bored with just one!
I try to keep my WIPs to 1-3 projects, but my queue is longer than a CVS receipt!
I usually work one at a time unless I have a big project that is not easily portable. The big one stays at home and I will start a smaller one to
take out with me. So maybe 2 or 3 at a time.
Most of the time I only have one on my needles, but occasionally I may have two or three.
I generally have 2-3 projects at the same time.
I usually have multiple projects. At least 1 knitting project and 1 crochet project. This way, my hands get breaks from doing the same thing all the time.
I am an enthusiastic believer in diversity and multiple opportunities! One at a time just won’t do it – options are important. This month’s color selections are the brightness I am looking for in my life right now – it’s been very vanilla lately and while that is okay for a short time – it’s time to brighten things up:)
I have multiple projects going at once, if you count all the UFOs in my yarn closet. I tend to only work on one at a time, but then if an “emergency” comes along and I need to knit a gift, I put one project aside and knit the new one. I don’t always go back to the initial one right away, or for years for that matter. Projects will go to the back of the queue if they’re for me, especially when I have more gifts, usually baby gifts, to knit.
Hello Chandi!
I am a one project at a time person but have urge to start another one every time when i completed something.
Love your yarns and designs. And also love to read your poetic emails and poetry
Love ❤️
Sonali
Usually I have just one project I focus on and get done, however if the project is too time consuming or complex for me, I prefer to have a simpler project I can switch to.
I usually have 3-4 projects going at any given time. I choose by needle size. Gotta have some variety, eh? Socks, a hat maybe and a bigger project or two (shawl, sweater or cardigan).
Hello Chandi and team. I have a gazillion projects on the go, from a huge blanket, a huge shawl to set of fingerless gloves. Loads of unfinished projects but time flies and not enough hours in the day. Have a cupboard full of yarn waiting for the pattern to be worked up! Bah!
Your yarn is soo beautiful. There is so many things in my Ravelry queue that need this yarn
I almost always have more than one item in the works. At least one each of crochet and knit, and often multiples of crochet. I also often have an embroidery or beading project in the works as well. And then there are the KALs/CALs which I don’t classify as WIPs because the P depends upon the designer and the timing of each clue.
The site tells me I already posted this! I really didnt post it yeat and really want to enter the contest!

I’m a no-more-than-3 project kinda gal. Any more wips than that gives me anxiety! Haha
I am definitely a multiple WIPs crocheter. I start one project then either a special event comes along that I have to get something cranked out on a deadline or a new pattern drops that I just HAVE to make or I get bored and need to start something new to keep my interest up.
I try soooo hard to have only 1 on the go! But usually 3 🤣
I usually only work on one project at a time. Right now I have a Sophie shawl on needles. If you have ever made one you know it is a big project. Knit, knit, knit…..on and on!! I’m ready to start decreasing now. I also crochet and enjoy making baby blankets. I always look forward to Friday to see what Chandi has in store for us!
I generally have more than one project in the works. Right now I have 4 projects on the needles and am swatching for another!
I have many WIPs going at the same time. I get bored easily and options help me with that.
I usually only have one project in the works unless I start making something else as a gift.
I’ve generally got about 3 projects on the go at any time… One large, one small and one very simple that lives in my work bag most of the time.
Always a few projects on the go to suit different moods, travel, etc. Gotta keep those hands busy! Also, just have to say – this month’s giveaway colors are simply STUNNING!!!
I’m usually more of a one project at a time kind of girl. That being said, if I’m doing something simple that gets monotonous, I’ll have two going at a time so I can switch it up when I need.
I always have several projects going at the same time. I like to have variety and keeps my mind active changing from one to another to beat boredom.
I’m typically a one project at a time person, although I occasionally get sidetracked if voted with a given pattern and allow myself to be lured away to something more enticing.
love the gorgeous yarn! So many beautiful colorful yarn! Socks, blankets a garment or two?
thanks for another chance1
I usually have more than one project on the needles. I get bored or another project catches my eye.
I ALWAYS have multiple projects going on, but rarely the same craft. One thing on my crochet hook, a sewing project, a watercolor painting, an embroidery project, a visible mending project, a new seed starting or plant propagating, and any other thing that catches my eye.
Your choices of yarns are always impressive! I try to have only one project started at a time but sometimes I will have 2 going at once. I always try to have yarn on hand. I live in a rural area without easy access to a yarn store. Knitting and crocheting are both very relaxing to me and when I finish a project I want to be able to start up another one right away.
I usually have a couple of projects going at one time. Keeps me with different things to do depending on feeling.
I really try to keep one project at a time but then I’ll have a simple project for meetings or doctor’s appointments and a more complex one for home.
I like to have multiple crochet projects going at a time with different stiches being worked so I can switch it up and save my hands some repetitive strain <3 I would love to think up multiple ideas with this load of beautiful yarn!
I used to be one that had to do finish one thing before I started another but lately I have quite a few going at the same time. Something to take on the go and something larger to do at home.
One at a time, that’s my groove 🙂 I find it more enjoyable that way. I like seeing a project from beginning to end. So satisfying!
Generally, I work on one project at a time. The only exception to this is if I need to make a gift for someone or of its a large project and I want for example a new hat, then I’ll cast on. Never more than two projects at a time.
I have multiple WIPs right now, knit and crochet. It breaks up the monotony for me.
I am definitely a has-way-too-many-projects-at-once person. I currently have a handsewing project, embroidery, knitting and somewhere a crocheting project thats unfinished. Oh and also another knitting pattern I bought but still need to find yarn for (does that count as a started project?) It’s the same with reading books for me, my storygraph says I’m simulteneaosly (or however you write that word) reading six books, oops! It is fun tho, when I’m in different moods I always have /something/ to work on or to read (ifI’m not busy with a million other things). Anyway, I hope everyone has a wonderful, creative, month!
I always have a “main” project or three going, and ten or more WIPS that I flitter between like a butterfly. My head is just too full of ideas to put them all off! But I try to take meticulous notes, so I am not utterly confused when I come back to a particular WIP.
A few on the needles kind of girl here. Always socks and at least one other larger project.
Oh I have so many projects going at a time! Knit, crochet, even sewing. And that’s just the fiber side of crafting XD
I have multiple going on at one time – that being said, I am currently trying to finish a few to get my WIP basket emptier!
I’m a “monogamous” knitter. This is because there is always one favorite project, and I’ll knit on that to the exclusion of others.
I am a way to many projects all at once kind of girl. Not just yarn either – knit, crochet, embroider, body care products, canning and food prep, apothecary products from my garden, candles, so much going on all the time!
What an amazing giveaway! I typically have 4-5 projects on the needles. I like variety – large & small projects. It’s nice to have smaller projects to take on the go!
I like working one at a time.
I currently have 6 different projects going on! Yikes!! Usually, I am a one at a time kind of person, but I ran out of yarn for two different projects while I was on vacation last week and I have two ongoing scrap hats in progress. I’m working on a for fun project right now and I have a “for me” project that I work on here and there, so there you have it!
Oh too many projects. Joined a Ravelry group by Purl Together to either “Finish it or Frog it”. Runs through to Sept 21. Working my way through some projects but want to produce more completed projects.
I usually have a few projects on the knitting needles. I don’t knit to deadline, so it doesn’t bother me to have something sitting for a while. In the hot summer, I knit smaller projects. In the fall and winter, I switch to bigger yarn projects.
Definitely more than one WIP at a time, but I tend to work on just one until I get bored and then I move onto a different project. I must admit that I am terrible at doing projects spanning various hobbies, that is definitely a “when the mood strikes” kind of switch.
I usually have at least 2 projects going on at a time. One that challenges me, and one that I can do in front of the tv.
I usually work on one project, but there are some cases when I also start another one – sometimes I need a little break or just to do something different – but I like to finish what I have already started, so not too many projects at a time.
I always have a dozen things going at a time (and I even finish some!) Both crochet and cross stich are my main fiber arts!
I’m a one project at a time girl. I have ADHD, and the only way something gets finished is if I work on it consistently. Once I set something aside, it’s out of sight, out of mind, never to be worked on again!
I have several projects going at one time. Keeps things interesting
I am anything BUT monogamous when it comes to projects! I have a very bad chronic case of “let’s-start-another-one” 😅
I started out as a one project at a time person but…Now they’re all over the place! Especially since I also learned to crochet!
I like being focused on one project at a time!
I always have several knit and crochet projects going. I like to have a variety and to have something to work on based on my mood
I have like 6 projects on the needles or hooks right now!
I used to be “one at a time.” I have 3 or 4 at a time lately. And the queue grows faster than my needles (and hooks) can fly!
I usually start several WIPs but often just work on one or 2 at a time.
I currently have 18 WIP’s down from 22 recently. 6 of those WIP’s are expected as gifts for Christmas so those need to get done quickly too. Then I have so many efa patterns I do not yet have yarn for but they will all be finished – many of them soon with the results of this giveaway and more from the year end sales – tight budgeted. Loving crochet daily since I retired and love your website with lots of fun ideas.
Typically I have two, one complicated one (typically a lace shawl or a complicated sweater), and one easy one that I can work on during my commute (often socks).
I used to be a one project at a time knitter, however, I became a multiple project knitter. I generally have a to-go no-thought project and also a concentration-needed project for just at home.
I always have numerous knitting projects on the needles, each in its own knitting project bag.
I’m a knitter and crocheter, and usually have more than one project going in both crafts
I usually have at least 2 projects on the go, often more.
This would be an amazing birthday/wedding anniversary/ retirement present. It’s all happening in August. 🎉
I have about 12 WIPS at the moment!
Oh My Gosh! That red is so perfect for a project for my sister!!
I generally have two or more projects going at a time. Socks for travel time, patterned pieces for quiet time, and simple stitches for when I need to be present for other things.
Versatility makes the world go round!
You always choose the best color combinations! I always have at least three or four projects going at once. I can’t stick to just one!
I have a short attention span so I have one long term project going but several mini palette cleansers that I do at the same time so I can have some completed projects to keep me going.
I always have something on a crochet hook or 2 . Sometimes I will also have a project on needles or Tunisian hooks. I do have to admit I am slowing down a little lately. Arthritis is getting some worse. I do have to tell you, you have some of the most beautiful yarn colors I have ever seen. Thank you for the chance to win your yarn.
I am very much a one project at a time crafter. I do however have a sampler shawl that has been sitting in a bin for several years now. I am not sure if I will ever finish it since for some unbeknownst reason I thought black would be a great color for it.
I love all the colors in this yet again wonderful and very generous yarn give away.
I almost always have more than one project going: at least one that requires a lot of attention, and one that I can do while visiting, commuting, or watching TV
I always have a variety of projects in the works. Some are big, small, suitable for knitting on the go, easy, complicated, etc, etc. I’m far too adhd to only work on one project at a time. Sometimes I go through them and pick an older one to finish up and give it to its intended recipient.
I am a multi project gal. I have the short projects, the long projects, and all are many different weights. I have 7 ongoing
I usually have a couple going at once. As usual you have picked some gorgeous colors! I see a few gifts in these colors!
I need different projects to accommodate both my mood and environment, can’t bring with me big projects when I go out and I usually need to alternate multiple small projects to give me the inspiration and will to work on the big ones.
I often have more than one project going at a time. I have crocheted for many years, but am just learning to knit, so am moving back and forth between projects – and have others in the planning stage.
I would love to use these gorgeous to hone my skills and make some fabulous gifts!
Ideally I’m a one-project-at-a-time person but I can look around and see that I’ve got a few going at once! Sometimes I lose energy after one sock and do a different project before I return to another!
I am a mix. I usually have at least one primary piece I’m working on and multiple works in progress I move between. However, all projects do get done. I grew up knitting and I fell in love with crochet in college. The fiber arts have always been a part of my life, and I am grateful. Thank you for this wonderful space and the opportunity to enter your giveaway.
I like working on one project at a time.
One at a time because I get too stressed if I start more than one!
I always have at least one knit and one crochet at the same time. When I get bored or frustrated with one, I can work the other, until my mind is refocused to go back to the first.
oh i am 100% a multiple projects going kind of persn
I have a number of projects going at any one time. Depending on how much attention I want to give, decides which one I work on.
I have ADHD, so unless I’m working on something that’s constantly changing, my mind wanders and I start making mistakes. So usually I work on multiple projects at a time.
I used to be a one-at-a-time knitter, but I now have one pair of socks and one cardigan on my needles. It’s nice to be able to decide if I want a mindless knit, or if I want something more involved!
I like to focus on one main project at a time. However, I do have a list of patterns I want to knit and am often tempted by the gorgeous yarn colors that EFA releases. 🧶
I try to stick to one project at a time but sometimes i pause (procrastiante) a project and finish another one inbetween.
I am a monogamous knitter … only one project at a time. However, my yarn stash may say otherwise!! I love 2 sayings: ‘Yarn is like chocolate, you can never have enough’. And ‘whoever has the most yarn wins’. 😆
I definitely am a one project at a time
Usually love to start and not do anything else besides that until I complete it
i have a system teehee! i have three projects at a time in varying sizes: small, medium and large. I rotate them around based on which one i feel like working on at the moment
I currently have 3 active projects — a crocheted blanket, a knit blanket, and knit socks — and 2 projects in long-term time out. Plus 2 cross-stitch WIPs that haven’t seen much progress in a while. I can’t stay with one thing for very long or it feels like too much of a slog, no matter how fun the patter or yarn is. And I need to have at least one mindless project and one concentration project; they can’t be all one or the other or nothing would get finished!
