Hello, sweet soul! This week, I have a delightfully fun crochet shawl pattern for you! I’m in love with this soothing, meditative design, and it’s perfect for newer and more experienced crocheters alike. I think you’re going to love it, too! Keep reading to learn all about this stunning shawl!

Bubbles was designed by Donielle Oliver Showvay. When asked about this pattern, Donielle said, “2026 marks my tenth anniversary as proud owner of Knitting Knicely. If anyone had told me over 30 years ago when I found my love for fiber arts as a young girl, that I would be designing my own knit and crochet patterns, I would have laughed in disbelief. But here I am, blessed beyond measure to be able to do what I love and support my family while doing it! This shawl is a celebration of the love and support I have always felt from such an amazing fiber art community!”

This is a Beginner level pattern that is perfect for the beginner crocheter who wants to explore simple color changes. This shawl uses five colors that change every few rows. The stitches are mostly half double crochet with a couple rows of single crochet. Some stitches are skipped to create an eyelet, which represents bubbles. The pattern includes written instructions, as well as a schematic, and comes with a video tutorial.

Bubbles is crocheted with our divine Oasis Camel Silk DK yarn, which is a luscious 4-ply blend of 50% exotic, sultry camel fiber with 50% shimmering mulberry silk. The result? The sample shown here was crocheted with our June Alexandrite Hues Oasis DK Kit (1,255 yds/1,150 m per five-skein kit) and used approximately 1,115 yds/1,020 m total. The colors were crocheted in the following order: A) Sea Foam, B) Periwinkle, C) Purple, D) Lavender, and E) Blue.
