~Chandi

Hello Chandi and team.
My all time fav season to knit/crochet is mainly the winter months in front of a log fire. But there again anytime of the year is a good time to dye the yarn to craft with.
I love to knit all year long!
My favorite time is winter, after the holidays are over.
I also love to vrovhet all year round! As of late I love crocheting plushies for my great grandchildren! They love to get a surprise that Granny (me) makes.
I love to crochet during fall & winter the most, sitting in front of the fire nice & toasty!
The best season for me is def autumn and winter
I love autumn for crochet and knitting. The colors in the world are so bright and warm like the afternoon sun, but there is a chill in the air that makes hot tea and spiced cider my favorite drinks and a handmade shawl.or blanket so cozy. Chandi, your colorways are always gorgeous and your bases so scrumptiously squishy! Whoever wins this month’s (oe any of your giveaways) will be theilled!
I didn’t know there was a ‘season’ for knitting. Hah! Whenever i get the urge, i knit, or crochet, or cross-stitch (or do some other hobby). If I just finished a complicated project, I might switch it up… until I see some yummy yarn or a pattern to die for!
I crochet year round, but if I had to pick a favorite it would be winter. That is the time that everything slows down and my garden is put to bed so I have more time.
My favorit is winter when it is to cold to be outside. I also like spring with all the fresh colors.
My favorite time to crochet is YEAR ROUND!🥰
Fall and winter are when I find more time to enjoy it, less other pressing things to do. Spring and summer are all about the garden and being outside more. I love the quiet cozy time inside during the cold months.
My favorite season to crochet is winter starting right after Christmas. This is when things are quietest and it feels like everyone is in a restful time. I don’t need to rush anywhere and get to work on cozy projects.
My favorite seasons to crochet is autumn and winter. With the time change and getting dark earlier, and weather gets colder, it gives me more time to be able to crochet.
I do year round but fall and winter I get the most time to do knit or crochet
I tend to knit throughout the year but I think my favourite season to knit in is Autumn. I’m always trying to get some of my projects finished for Christmas!
I’ve knit and/or crochet almost daily for more than the last two years – it’s sort of my version of self-medicating. 😊
I knit or crochet all year long, but there’s something special about making a blanket on a chilly day.
Since I craft year round I don’t really have a favourite season to crochet. There’s always a project of some sort floating through the house. Yarn to be rolled into balls, or yarn being crocheted into something useful or fabric waiting to be cut out into parts for an outfit or quilt. Totes filled with yarn or fabric waiting til the time is right for their turning the spotlight.
I crochet year-round. It’s about the only thing that soothes my spirit.
My favorite season to crochet is summer fall winter and spring, I love them all. I crochet year round
I love to knit all year long, but especially in the spring. Something about the days getting longer and bright colors is so inspiring 🌷
The best season to knit for me is Fall ! You can knit with wool again without it sticking to your fingers and wear all your new wooly outfits right away ! The best feeling ever !!
I’m a fairly new knitter, so I’m slow to make progress. I’m about to leap into crocheting as well. 😱 The cooler, fallow seasons allow me for my slowness and for the luxuriousness of having an evolving warm fabric come to life.
Love knitting in fall and winter, as I am inside staying warm.
Fall & winter. I like working on blankets and the weight of the project on me while I’m working on it is cozy.
My absolute favorite season to knit is travel season, because I can get a lot done on the road! But like many (and being in the South), the non-summer seasons are best for working with wool and having that warmth laying over me.
I crochet year round. I love that it’s something I can take with me. It just makes my heart ❤️ happy. But I do think I crochet more in the winter because I seem to have more time.
I knit year round. It’s actually my only “activity” outside of the occasional attempt at watercolor note cards. It’s a blessing to be able to pass the time doing something you love!
What lovely colors in this month’s giveaway!
It’s hard to pick a favorite season to knit and crochet. All of them have a unique vibe for creating. If I had to pick one, it would have to be winter I guess, as the projects tend to be for warmth, larger projects.
I love to crochet all seasons!!! I get excited every time we shift from one to another! But if you’re going to twist my arm I will pick fall! I’m an Autumn baby! (Oct 1) So throw around a few pumpkins and leaves changing in the trees and I’m ready for scarfs and cardigans!
I crochet year around, but I do prefer the cooler seasons, depending what type of yarn/ cotton I’m working with & pattern I’m working with.
This month’s yarns are wonderful! Love the colors very much!
My favorite seasons to work with yarn to either knit or crochet would be the cooler seasons. Fall, Winter and spring, summer is way to hot and sticky around here for needle work, yarn just sticks to your fingers.
My favorite season to crochet or knit is EVERY DAY! Every day is a day to crochet or make something warm and cozy and beautiful to bring joy and warmth and yarnie hugs to others. I am totally obsessed my fibers & WIPS & FO’s & helping to do my part to make the world a better place than I found it.
All for me. An
I enjoying summer crocheting at the beach under my favorite willow tree, nice breeze off the lake. The fall is great cause I love Halloween, the colours and the inspiration. Of course, it’s the coziness of winter for the cold months. Once spring rolls around, I can crochet outside again ❤️
Late summer/autumn is my favourite time to knit. We get very hot summers and cold winters, so I look at patterns and wind wool until it’s cool enough to start knitting again. 🙂
Winter is my favourite time for knitting. Sitting warm and snuggly beside the open fire, watching the snow falling gently outside.
I love knitting and crocheting in the winter, when it’s cold outside and cozy inside – especially with a project in my lap.
Autumn and winter as it’s a cozy moment by the fire
Hi Chandi and Tim! I love to crochet and knit all the time, any season. Our house is always the same daytime temp of 72° F. so even if it’s 105° outside I’m still knitting or crocheting most likely a blanket!
I knit and crochet all year, but there is something truly scrumptious about crafting something woolly in the winter, as it keeps you warm while you knit/crochet away.
My favorite time of year to knit for is spring and summer
I live in northeast Florida and I enjoy knitting lace shawls in both spring and summer with fingering or lace weight yarns.
I crochet year round, and my favorite season is fall. Happy birthday in November and a lot of yarn coming my way just because I have to have it. 😉
I knit or crochet year round, november’s give away would be perfect as it is my birthday month, cant live without making and gorgeous yarn.
I knit and crochet through all seasons, however, winter is probably the season that I have more time available to do so. For the simple reason that winter is the rainy season where I am and I tend to hibernate a bit through it 😆
I love crocheting every single day sitting on my favorite couch looking through my window out into the busy street.
Absolutely Fall & Winter!!!
I love knitting in Winter! The weather lends itself to working with yarn, and as I progress, my project keeps me warm!
Hi Chandi..thank you for offering up such a wonderful giveaway….drooling much lol and dreaming up the many projects 💝
I crochet or knit every day..wonderful relaxing therapy 🙂 I am passionate about crochet and the numerous makes designers are showing on a daily…
Any season is a good season to knit or crochet. I knit almost every day of the year and feel off if I don’t. Love your colours and patterns. XXX
I love knitting in winter it just makes me feel all snuggled and safe like a big hug from my mom and loved one’s
I knit all seasons because it’s a good way to wind down after a long day of work. I
I knit all year long. I constantly have at least socks on my needles.
Creating things I never thought I could, because it reminds me that if I put my mind to it, I can do it.
All year, if I can find the time! Crochet!
I like fall and winter as it reminds me of watching both of my Grandmother’s crocheting.
I knit all year round, but I love the winter for crafting, since I don’t have to feel guilty for not going out to garden when it’s cold and snowy.
I crochet and knit in every season. Since I spend more time crocheting and knitting in the fall and winter, those two are probably my favorites.
Winter is my favorite time to crochet. The cooler temperatures are wonderful! I love when my large projects can be draped across my lap without feeling like I have a very hot heating pad on me. Mostly I enjoy making and using blankets, hats, and gloves.
I knit and crochet year round but especially during the long dark evenings of Autumn and Winter. Plus, autumn pallets are my favourite
My fave season to knit and crochet is all seasons!!! I love to work on projects all year long. Though the yarn isn’t as kind to me in the summer as other months. I just don’t do heat well.
I don’t have a favourite. I knit and crochet all year round. It’s my daily meditation and self love practice that fills my heart and soul continuously.
my favorite season to knit and crochet is winter, even though i’d love to knit all year round. somehow the other seasons go by so fast that i don’t get time to knit and crochet much.
Autumn through spring is prime knitting and crocheting time, somewhat less so in summer. The cooler dryer air makes it much more comfortable to craft, the yarn and thread doesn’t feel sticky running through my fingers!
It has to be during the winters. We don’t get a lot of weeks of good cold weather, but those that we do, there is something very peaceful about a blanket on your lap, the winter sun, a cup of tea while I crochet something for someone in the family.
Crochet calms me year round!
Year round for me, since I started to crochet again after many years I can’t seem to put it down, so many patterns, so much beautiful yarn, so little time 🥰
I like the Fall because the color of the leaves give me inspiration to knit.
My favorite season to knit and crochet is all year round! I love making so many different types of projects… cozy blankets in winter that keep my lap warm; shawls in spring, an extra layer to transition between seasons; socks in summer, easily transportable for summer adventures; and in fall I make gifts for holiday giving, to warm hearts, both mine and the recipients. And year round, I make hats, mittens, and knockers for charitable giving. Thank you for offering this generous giveaway!
I can’t really pick one favorite season to crochet. I crochet during all seasons and for all seasons. It gives me a reason to explore different yarns and styles.
I know and crochet all year round so no favorite season. I love to keep busy and making something is a perfect hobby.
I knit and crochet year around to regulate my whole body mind and spirit. Though summer is a bit harder between the heat and humidity. I just change my project sizes to smaller items during the summer. This year I spent the spring and summer knitting socks. Then switched to sweaters in late summer early fall already on my third sweater. I will say it’s easier to find more time to knit when it gets cooler outside due to spending more time inside.
I love crocheting in the fall and winter! All that yarn on my lap is just so cozy. But I crochet all year long in front of the tv because my hands just need something to do!
My favorite season to crochet is fall, when the air starts to get a little crisper and the sun sets earlier.
I knit/crochet year-round, but I probably do more of them in the winter. It’s dark and cozy. It’s nice to cuddle up with some wool and knit a nice sweater.
I’m relatively new to crochet and have much enjoyed it. Chandi’s yarn and patterns are fabulous! I would say winter is my favorite time of year to crochet – I don’t feel guilty about staying indoors and crocheting or reading.
My favorite season to crochet in is with ter after the holidays. You can crochet a snuggly blanket and be cozy and hibernate.
I love to crochet every day so I don’t have one season. Crocheting is my peace of mind, the little thing I do for myself to forget the troubles of the day and simply be
Definitely fall and winter. It’s dark early and cold outside, so it’s very relaxing to curl up with some hot tea and my knitting.
There is always something beautiful to crochet in any season.
Hmmm…I can’t say I have a favorite season for knitting, or crocheting. I just do it whenever the mood hits me, or I stumble across that “just gotta make it” pattern.
I knit and crochet all year round. My favorite season to knit and crochet is fall because for me it stands for cosying up with a cup of tea while crafting and turning inward, coming closer to self.
All seasons are great to knit, but the fall when it starts to get cool always inspires me even more, to knit.
Autumn is my favorite season. I like it because of all the new, cozy patterns coming out or being shared again. It’s a busy time to be crafting and it’s not too hot or too cold yet.
My favorite season for fiber arts is winter. All snuggled in by a fire.
Hi Chandi and team, I knit all year round but my absolute favourite is late Autumn to early Spring, when it is cooler, here in Perth Western Australia.
Autumn is my favourite time to start knitting. Things are cooling down, the world is being painted in gorgeous fall shades. I can tuck myself in to a comfy chair and start working on my masterpiece (hat, scarf or sweater…….or all three 😉), cup of hot cocoa by my side. Enjoying those crisp cool Fall mornings……ahhhhh Bliss!
I don’t have a favorite season to knit because I knit through all seasons. I’m one of those people who simply like to knit so every day, regardless of the season, is a perfect time for knitting.
Fall is my favorite season to crochet or try to knit. The cooler days, the beautfiful colors and smells outside makes you want to curl up with your yarn and hooks and starts working on something warm and fluffy.
My favorite time of year yo crochet is winter i can cozy up and do my thing. Although I could crochet anytime.
Hello and Happy Fall. I knit all year but like to knit my challenging and time consuming projects after the holidays are over and in the cold winter months sipping hot tea.
I knit and crochet all year round. There’s always birthdays, new babies, weddings, or fairs going on so I constantly have something to do. But my busiest season is fall/winter thanks to Christmas and birthdays.
I love to knit and crochet in the fall and winter. It is so relaxing to cozy up with a project in my lap and stitch away!
I love to knit throughout the year but especially in the winter months because it’s so cozy
Hi There from the UK. I knit all year round for others (my cousins 5 grand children and my son). In Autumn/Winter I might get to knit something for myself 🙂
Best wishes.
My favourite season has to be fall, with the leaves floating down on the gentle breeze. With a nip in the air and a crisp note underfoot when we walk outdoors. The canvas of beautiful blue skies, rich autumn colours creating a vibrant landscape to explore and relax in. On cold nights, sitting inside close to the fire enjoying spending time with loved ones while quietly working on a creative project in hand.
Thank you for the opportunity to win such lovely fiber! I am a winter knitter if I have to choos3a season. The yarn in my project keeps me warm in my lap and will later keep someone else warm.
I’m an all seasons knitters. It’s meditative for me, so I pick up my needles all year round.
Best season, Winter! Here in New England it can get pretty cold and snowy. Curled up with a cup of hot cocoa and a crocheting project, is the best way to spend the season indoors. I think God created Winter for us to slow down with some quiet and creative time with a pair of needles or crochet hook in our hands!….
I find that anytime is a good time to curl up with a project in my favorite chair, whether it be in summer on the porch, or autumn when the leaves are turning and the air chills and I retreat to my couch and cuddle up with a blanket and a sweater project. My hook is moving 12 months of the year.
I love to knit and crochet any time of the year and always have many projects on the go. Here in Trinidad, we don’t have seasonal changes. It’s always hot and sometimes wetter than others
Every season, crochet is the perfect way to wind down after a busy day. I am just learning to knit so that is not quite a relaxing, but I look forward to the day I can knit as effortlessly as I see so many do!
For me, any season is good for knitting. In the warmer temperatures, I knit smaller items.
I love to knit and crochet in all seasons but especially the autumn. There is something so cozy about snuggling under a big project as the weather turns chilly.
I am crafting year round… I always have knit & crochet projects that I’m working on! I get more time in during the cooler months when I’m not outside as much, though.
Hi Chandi,
Thank you so much for the opportunity to enter this amazing giveaway! My absolute favourite season to knit in is winter. The weather outside is cold, but the inside of the house is warm and cozy. When there is quiet, peaceful time to sit and work, I can concentrate the best! The winter months provide just that!
Thank you again,
– Erin
I crochet year round but winter is especially nice for blankets.
I prefer to knit in the fall. Mostly Christmas presents.
I’m a year-round maker, but i find the urge to cozy down to knit & crochet hits more during the autumn & winter months.
I love to work with yarn year round, but theres just something extra nice about snuggling up from late autumn through early spring (yes, in east texas that is one season: its called “below 75°F season”) but specifically i love the days when its too cold to leave home so u get to pile on the blankets and imbibe a little all day while binging tv/movies and just working away at various projects.
I crochet & knit year round. Like to do bigger projects as it gets colder so my lap is covered!
Hello Chandi! I too crochet and knit during the year but my favorite seasons are fall and winter. I especially enjoy the Fall season when the air turns cooler with the changing leaves. The various colors are inspiring and the sky is clear and beautiful! November is always a special month for me because that is the month that I married the love of my life 51 years ago in 1974. ♥️
I knit all year, often planning ahead to make things for Christmas gifts. My favorite season to knit is winter when my projects help to keep me warm. Another favorite time to knit is not seasonal – it’s related to acctivity or lack thereof. I often take knitting to medical appointments, always take it when travelling – especially flying. Having something to do while waiting puts me into a state of calm patience instead of being annoyed by long wait times.
My favorite time of year to crochet is fall and winter, but when the creative urge and finances meet I will crochet anytime.
Ma saison préférée est l’automne hiver pour pouvoir tricoter des pulls douillets et confortables. Merci pour ce concours.
I knit all year long, because yarn isn’t just for a season.
Hello! My favorite season to knit is always!!! Living in Texas there’s always a challenge to find enough cool/cold days to wear knits but it doesn’t stop me from making more!!! Thank you for your generous giveaways. I am hopeful every month that I will win!
I knit all year round but I enjoy it most in winter because it’s cosier!
Hello Chandi. I don’t really have a favorite season to crochet because I crochet year round. If the weather is nice outside, I will sometimes sit outside and crochet, but I mostly crochet indoors.
Every season is my favorite season to knit! It grounds me and just plain makes me happy.
Knitting and crocheting almost all year round, maybe not so much on the hot humid days. I usually feel that urge that first week the weather drops into the low 60s early fall and the feel of yarn is warm and comforting with a nice cup of hot milk tea and a good series to binge on with my puppy next to me. I cherish those weekends when I can just stay home and do that, is the best anti anxiety and antidepressant for me!
My favorite time to crochet is year round! Definitely a bonus in the colder months for bigger projects they keep you warm while you’re working 😃❤️
My favorite season to knit in is winter, after Christmas, when everything is slow and quiet.
Any time of the year is my favorite time to knit, it makes me feel close to my Mom. She passed many years ago and I feel her hands guiding mine through each stitch.
I knit and crochet every month of the year!!!! It’s Just the fiber content that change!!!😂
Hi Chandi. I knit, crochet and weave during every season but it seems like most projects get done in fall and winter. I keep my stash of yarns visible for inspiration, with much help from your gorgeous yarns and website!
Definitely winter! Just cozy up by the fire with a hot cup of tea and crochet away for hours!
The projects I save for late fall and winter are my favorites.
I love to crochet all year, but have more time to do so in the winter after the holidays and when the garden is resting
I knit all year, but fall/winter is my favorite. I live in New England, so the shorter days and cold weather help me feel cozier with whatever project I’m working on. Also gives me something to do with my hands while watching football!
Depends on the project, but I’ve been known to crochet anytime of the year. I’m currently working on a shawl for me and since it’s been a bit cooler than expected, a very welcome project.
Fall and winter, but especially winter! I live in Minnesota and it gets so gray here during it that being cozy with and focusing on something soft and colorful is a sort of sensory balm.
Autumn is my favorite, the return of wooly weather! I knit, crochet, weave, and sew all year, but that first project of autumn is special. I’m impatiently waiting for the delivery of buttery bulky for a sweater I’ve been wanting to do for years. I can hardly wait for the coziness!
I knit and crochet year-round for my mental health. If I had to pick a favorite, it would be winter because it’s extra cozy to have a project in my lap when the weather is cold.
I weave year round but now is my favorite time to weave those wonderful Christmas scarves and, this year, a baby 🤩 blanket for my niece.
I knit and crochet year round. I agree with Cindy that I have much more time when my veggie and flower gardens are put to bed and when my daughter’s marching band season ends. Virginia state champions three years in a row! Go Indy!!
I love to knit year round, but during the fall and winter while it rains outside and I’m curled up nice and warm with a movie on is possibly my absolute favorite.
Spring…no, Fall…no, Winter….Summer? Yeah that too.
I primarily knit anymore because crochet has begun giving my hands some trouble. I try to knit a little bit every day. Keeping a few projects on the needles in project bags has proven to be the best approach for my knitting practice as it means I’ve always got a bit of variety and can choose the project that is best suited for my current activity
I am always working on a knitting project (or 2 or 3…) but my favorite time is definitely when the weather is cooler especially if it is a larger, warmer item so it can serve a dual purpose. Working on holiday gifts now!
I like to knit with wool during fall in anticipation of cold weather and also in spring with bright summer fibers. I like to feel the change of seasons this way.
I knit slightly more in the winter – it’s a good craft to curl up with by the fireplace – but my knitting is with me year round.
Hello Chandi, I love knitting year round but my favorite is in the winter by the fire. Knitting has helped me soothe my anxiety. Love knitting shawls and I have made several from your site and always get compliments when I wear them.
My favorite season to knit or crochet is baseball season! Our family is definitely a baseball loving family. Both our sons play baseball in high school. When we are at home, we always have the Braves game on the TV. Either way, it’s something I can do with my family nearby. My youngest son will graduate high school in 2 years and that precious time at his games will end. I will definitely enjoy my knitting at the games while I can.
I crochet year round! I go to 3 stitchery groups a week, and in the summer we meet outdoors when the weather in Maine cooperates. As an Adventurous Beginner (thanks Chandi for that description)), these groups are a great way to get help from the experts and share ideas, but one very important aspect is the community of women we’ve built. The support and camaraderie is amazing. It has become a wonderful social outlet, and I set my schedule around these meetings.
I knit and crochet year round, so there isn’t really a favorite time of the year for me. I also enjoy using a variety of yarn fiber type, so the change to the cottons, linens and silk blend for spring and summer from the heavier wools and alpaca I work with in the fall and winter is welcome. And the act of creating fabric usually puts me in a happy zen place.
All four seasons are knitting season for me!
Anytime is good to knit or crochet. My hands need to be busy, and I love making things.
Just as others have said, I crochet year round. But there is something extra special about pulling out a WIP during the cold winter months. Less daylight and low temps means more time inside. What better way to spend it than by grabbing a hook and skein and creating something special.
Hello!
I knit/crochet all year, but my favorite time to knit is when there isn’t as much humidity. It’s just hard to get the yarn to glide through my fingers and tension properly when it feels like a swimming pool everywhere.
I knit year-round. Projects may vary according to the season.
I love cozying up with a lapful of yarn in the dark days of winter.
My favorite season is Fall, when there’s a chill in the air I love to cozy up in my favorite chair, put on a movie and knit away. The weight of the project soothes me!
I knit, and occasionally crochet all year but winter is the best time for it for sure! Sweaters are my favorite so it’s the coziest time for that!
I just love knitting all year round. It helps quiet the mind and soothe the soul.
Fall because I’m getting into cozy mode…..and winter because I’m deep inside cozy mode!
Love to knit and crochet year round, but Fall really puts everything into overdrive. What a stunning giveaway as usual. The jewel tones with dragon lore vibes are exceptional 🤍 thank you for your generosity and positivity!
My crochet basket sits next to my chair all year so I always have something on the hook, usually small blankets for shelter kitties or scarves for the mitten tree that my local library sets up every year.
Fall is my favorite season overall, and that includes for knitting too…I believe I even first learned how to knit in the season of fall lol
Fall is just a magical season…my birthdays in Fall too!
and I love knitting blankets and scarves because you get to really experience a variegated yarn, it’s almost like you’re painting with it… and what better time to be knitting all those blankets and scarves then fall, and then they’ll be ready and waiting by the winter time 😊🍂
Hi! I am a sporadic crafter since my son passed away a few years ago. Apparently I prefer crafting under pressure since I find myself finishing Christmas gifts on Dec 23rd.
Before losing my child, I crafted at least three days a week.
I love to crochet in fall and winter; when the sun sets so early, I can’t go outside and garden, so knitting or crochet is perfect! Cozy activity!
I love to knit in winter! Cozying up with a hot cup of tea and a good Christmas movie and knitting all day
All seasons! Keeping my hands busy makes me happy.
I play with fiber all year long!
Every season is my favorite time to knit. It’s what keeps me sane.
I knit nearly everyday, and enjoy it each and every time.
FALL!! I love everything about fall, and even though I crochet all year long, it feels especially special in fall!
I knit and crochet all year. It’s my form of self-care. I don’t know what to do with myself if I don’t have some sort of yarn-related project in the works!
I am back in school working on my master’s degree to be a librarian, so during class! I carry my projects with me and crochet during lectures. I also found an app that reads my assignments to me so I can crochet while doing my homework.
Fall is my favorite time to star a new project. The wind blowing through the trees, the changing colors, the cooler air……
I am a 4 seasons kind of girl! In the spring and summer I sit outside in the screen house and soak up the beautiful weather while I stitch. In the Fall and winter I snuggle up inside in my cozy easy chair and sink into my knitting and crochet.
All seasons are knitting season – warmer months for smaller projects like socks, hats, cowls – colder months for afghans, sweaters, ponchos
I don’t have a favorite season to knit. I knit everyday.
All seasons! I just love to knit!
I don’t have a favorite. I mostly knit and occasionally crochet every day, all year. The only thing that changes is yarn selections – more cotton blends in summer.
I knit and crochet year-round, but my favorite time of year (and my most hectic), is autumn. That’s when I’m finishing my Christmas gifts and, since I know my deadline is nearing, I get most excited about the use of different colour schemes to more personalize my projects.
I hadn’t knit since I was a young girl. Then my mother died and I was given a prayer shawl (By then I was in my 60’s). It was a most profound gift. Since then I picked up the needles, and even though in the beginning I had to have friends help me with casting on and off, I continue to knit. I basically only knit prayer shawls but I use some of the finest yarns because why not? I still knit at the beginner and advanced beginner level but I thoroughly enjoy it! My reason for knitting with fine yarn is because if it doesn’t feel good in my hands why would I want to spend time knitting with it? I am a member of a local knitting group and they are FAR more accomplished than I am but they don’t care. If I won I would donate the yarn to one of the ladies in my knitting club. She is donating her time at a local shelter for rape victims and is teaching them to knit as a way to help keep their mind focused.
Hi Chandi! I like to crochet in fall because the changing leaves and crisp temperatures inspire me!
All seasons. I have been knitting for 55 years! Shouldn’t have said that. 🤣
I truly enjoying knitting every season as it is my comfort and atress reliever. People know me for always having a project bag with me wherever I go. I may alter the size of project; however, when walking, I need an easily remembered repetitive stitch pattern to watch where I am going and/or liaten to who I am with :).
I don’t necessarily have a favorite season for crocheting. Though if I have to choose, I would pick fall and winter, primarily because the additional yarn is like a whole extra layer of clothing and you can get kind of warm with it sitting on your lap while you work. 🙂
My current favorite season to crochet is spring, because humidity is still tolerable on warmer days!
There are really just two season in Texas Summer and non Summer. So how to prepare one makes little projects in the Summertime like wash cloths, socks, slippers, motifs and shawls. When non Summer happens you take all the little pieces from Summer and link them to make ones projects. Also there are those special projects requested by other which skip into all sorts of time
Fall is probably my favorite time to crochet. I’m looking outside ans see a riot of gold, yellow, red, pink and brown, and oh, that fall sunlight! The cozy feel of yarn in my hands while I craft something beautiful is the best.
What beautiful colors! Do I really have to pick a season? I love knitting and crochet in every season!
All the seasons, when I have time, but winter is best for larger projects here in Texas.
Sweet Chandi-
I seem to knit mostly in the fall and winter, mostly because that’s when my garden begins to take up less of my time. I see such beautiful yarns and patterns at those times and I have more time to be indoors, with fewer daylight hours.
I appreciate your lovely newsletters and inspirations. Thank you so much for your delightful descriptions and images!
I knit year-round. Crochet pops in now and then. The season I can wear my finished project doesn’t matter as it usually takes me awhile to accomplish a finished project.
I love to knit year round, but especially in the fall and winter, when I can use my project as a mini blanket while I work on it.
I love knitting during Fall and winter. I have more time to relax and my project keeps my lap warm and c snuggly!
Hello from Texas.. I love to knit and crochet all year round.. I love knitting socks, blankets, love knitting and crocheting toys, and home decor.. Anything that brings me joy and happiness.. I love your yarn so much..
I think I usually end up knitting or crocheting in the spring and summer so I can actually wear it for fall or winter. I know how slow I work, so if I started in winter I’d have to wait a year to wear it. But really it just ends up being how I feel, I’m the type to jump between crafts, even mid-WIP.
End of Summer/Fall – I enjoy making things for others, and it’s the perfect season to start!
I love knitting in the fall! The cooler temps inspire me to delve into cozy projects and the vibrant colours are so soothing!
I knit year ‘round, but am especially inspired in Autumn.
My favorite season to knit and crochet is all year long! Knitting and crocheting are soothing and energizing all at the same time. Different projects for different moods or needs. It feels so amazing to create something for someone and see the magic as the project evolves (like the Purport).
In the summer staying at a cabin in Lake Tahoe, smelling the fresh mountain air and the scent of the Jeffrey pine “vanilla trees’
I love to crochet all year round and it keeps my mind peaceful
I love to knit to relieve stress. Since I’m low income, free yarn would be a blessing. Thanks, Valerie
I enjoy knitting year around. At my young age of 90, I have lots of time to sit, dram & knit.
I just love to crochet year round! I stretch out on my couch with my two lap dogs and let my mind rest. As my project gets bigger my poodle will try to curl up with it. She always seems to think it’s for her.
I love knitting year round because it always soothes me. It’s my me time, when everything else fades away for a while. To pick a favorite time is difficult, but it would be the winter. There are fewer things demanding my time, so I get more time to knit. A fire burning just adds to my piece of mind.
I love knitting larger projects in the winter and smaller ones in the summer!
I like to work my craft in all seasons, but if I had to pick one it would be fall. I seem to get more projects started in that season!
Autumn, Winter & Spring are my favorite seasons to knit & crochet. It’s just too hot in the summer for sweaters & such. I do manage to get some socks done over the summer, but only when we have the A/C on!
I crochet all year, but fall and winter are my favorite seasons to get all cozy with my projects. Perfect for blankets and sweaters!🥰
Anytime in the year is the perfect time to knit or crochet!
Cool/cold weather is my favorite because I don’t get overheated by the project in my lap, but I knit year ’round.
I crochet all year and always take a project with me. Spring is my favorite time to sit outside and crochet.
Best season is Fall, although any season, especially if it’s raining is the perfect season for knitting and crocheting.
Hello! My favorite time to knit is definitely fall. It’s just starting to get chilly, and there are plenty of football games on which gives me an excuse to just sit still and knit away, regardless of what else needs to be done! 🙂
The quiet and stillness of winter makes it my favorite season, both to knit, spin and read. Thank you for lovely yarns and many hours of happy knitting.
I’m a year round crafter: sewing, quilting, crochet, knit, garden and beadwork….but winter is my favorite for yarn. No matter what kind of yarn I work with, there is always that added warmth as I work with it. I don’t think I can ever beat the warm feeling that I get with my yarn project in my lap and my fingers running through the yarn
Fall is my favorite season for crafting. By then , I’m over gardening for the year and am raring to start on Christmas gifts.
I don’t have a favorite season to knit/crochet (I do both). If I had to pick, it would probably be Winter. It’s more motivating to work with a pile of yarn that warms you up when it’s cold.
I enjoy knitting and crocheting any time of year, but I guess my favorite is in the fall when I start making Christmas gifts.
Every season is my favorite season to crochet. Why? I never want to stop crocheting! 🙂
I enjoy knitting year round but if I am making a blanket then winter time is the best. When it gets long enough you can cover up with it while knitting. BONUS! Keep warm while knitting in the cold.
My favorite season to Tunisian crochet is all of them! There is never a bad time to work on a project—or two… or more. 😉😅
I knit year-round, but my favorite season to knit is winter – the usual soothing activity is delicious with its warmth.
Good morning,
I knit all year round (best when riding in the car to keep my hands busy) but more during our Canadian winter when I am not gardening.
I love to knit ANY season, there is so much inspiration! But if I had to choose, fall would be it, I love the colors and the crisp air.
Every Autumn my fingers start itching to crochet and I start searching for that perfect project to keep me sane through the long winter.
My favorite season to knit and crochet is autumn, because it finally cools off enough to have a big pile of yarn in my lap without sweating my butt off!
Every season because I love ❤️ to knit!
SIEMPRE, ME ENCANTA!!!
I like the spring when I can knit comfortably outside at parks and enjoy the weather
I knit and crochet year round because I love it! But my favorite season would have to be fall. It’s so nice making that transition to colder weather with something warm and snuggly in your lap to keep you warm, knowing you’ll get to wear it soon.
i crochet year round even in the texas heat. there are a coupe groups that meet during the week at the community centers that i attend.
why do i crochet year round? i like to keep my hands busy.
My favorite season to knit and crochet is Fall. The weather starts to cool down making knitting and crochet more cozy and relaxing.
For me, every day of every season is the best day to knit, and sometimes crochet.
I like to crochet year round, so I’m not sure i have a favorite season to make projects. Winter is a great time for working on blankets tho, then I get to cover up with them as they grow!
I crochet all year long
Any season is the perfect season for crochet! Since I started learning how to crochet in earnest last year, I’m finding that my “groove” is to crochet spring/summer items in Fall/winter and vise versa. That way, I don’t feel rushed or get behind on gifts.
I’m a year-round knitter/crocheter but fall is my favorite because my life slows down and I can spend more time knitting or crocheting. It also lets me work on more complicated patterns because I’m not distracted.
Fall, I love crocheting blankets and heavy scarfs for our family. Shawls also. My hubby loves seeing the projects completed. I just love crocheting.
I think the colder months in fall/winter/spring are when I most want to be inside crafting something cozy!
I love to knit all year, but if I’m forced to choose, it would probably be the cold, dark winter months with a warm beverage, a good audiobook or just sitting by the active fireplace.
Ohhhh, let’s see…. what season is today? I love to knit or crochet in every and all seasons: Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter, Sorrow, Joy, Relief, Worry, Anxiety…..
It’s my joy, my meditation, my silence, my healing…… And I am grateful for the fiber/yarn and needles/hooks, and the time to create with them.
Fall/winter: cosy on the couch with a warm project on my lap; it’s the best!
Definitely autumn — there’s nothing better than curling up with a warm drink, soft yarn, and the sound of rain outside.
I love crocheting in the fall months because most crocheted items are suited for colder weather. I can also wear what I crochet much sooner!
hi Chandi – I knit and crochet both – lots of Afghan’s, shawls, baby and regular blankets, been trying my hand knitting Shetland pattern, it’s been a trial! Love your yarns, the colors are awesome – and I do these all year, I also crochet doilies, these keep me busy.
Fall and winter are my favorite times to knit – first getting ready for Christmas markets and presents and then hibernating with warm yarns knitted on my lap.
I knit year round heavy sweaters in fall and winter and lighter yarn projects in spring and summer. But socks all year round. Knitting is my favorite thing to do and I love getting compliments on my projects.
My favorite season to knit is definitely in the winter! It’s nice to sit under a cozy (knitted 🙂 ) blanket and
create something warm for someone!
I am addicted to crochet and knitting AND your wool so it is year around for me…..forcing me to choose? Winter when I make cozy blankets!
I crochet all year round, but my favorite patterns are usually best for winter 🙂
I crochet year round. I always have multiple projects started.
I don’t have a favorite season — I knit all year! I do tend to have more projects going in the fall, though, in the lead-up to Christmas.
I knit year round, but really enjoy making things at Christmas. I make ornaments and gifts and enjoy seeing the recipient’s face light up when they receive a gift made specially for them.
I Knit every day, i’ve no favorite season. For me, knit is a kind of mantra. It gives me peace.
Definitely autumn! It’s not too warm to have yarn piled on your lap. You can start your holiday gifts knowing you have time to get through your list. And you have the pleasure of knowing that your loved ones will be nice and warm. Unfortunately, I tend to procrastinate so don’t watch me for guidance!
Fall is my favorite season for winding down with a project morning and evenings! It’s a time for making for the future cooler months and my knit/crochet MOJO ramps up 😁
Hello Chandi and team. Happy Fall!! The best season for me to knit or crochet is ALL seasons. I don’t limit myself to a season or time of year to dictate what I work on. Also, I use whatever weight and type of yarn necessary for the project I am working on.
I knit year round but enjoy summer sitting on the beach knitting while listening to a book on tape while watching the water. So peaceful!
Fall and winter is usually when my husband has other things going on and I have all the time I want to snuggle up and knit but I also knit year round.
I knit year-round, but winter’s long evenings and rainy days make knitting feel extra cozy.
Year round! I love to crochet winter, fall, spring and summer. I love trying new yarns depending on the season.
I don’t think I could choose a favorite season–all year would have to be my answer. Short-sleeve seasons are definitely better for straight needles, though, because I tend to have issues with my needle ends getting caught in long sleeves. 🙂
I knit and crochet year round, but fall is my favorite, because it’s getting chilly enough to wear my crafted items but not so cold that I feel rushed!
Hi Chandi!
I knit/crochet most days through the year but especially enjoy ‘making’ in Autumn. The change to cooler weather reminds me to get busy, busy on Christmas handmades for my grands/g-grands/friends/charity. whew!
Thank you for the chance at winning these beautiful yarns. If I were to win, they would make perfect colorful pretties just for ME (I’ve always given my handmades to others but in 2026, at age 80, it’s MY turn.)
I appreciate your beautiful calm words, Chandi, soothing thoughts for busy seasons.
I pretty much crochet all year and change the projects accordingly, but I think my favorite is probably fall so I can snuggle up in a blanket with tea while I work.
I can‘t possibly pick a favorite but I’ll say winter because my employer closes our offices for several days around the Christmas holiday, which frees up so much knitting and crochet time!
Summer actually. Sitting and knitting poolside during the kids swim classes!
I knit and crochet all year round. I make preemie hats, small blankets for preemies and small baby sized blankets that I give to our local family services. I need the whole year to get these finished. But if I had to pick a favourite it’s winter.
I don’t really have a favorite season for knitting or crocheting, but it is especially lovely in the colder months of fall and winter 🙂
I like to knit and crochet all year long, but the best time for me is when I can do it outside — during summer and fall when it is not too hot or too cold to sit by my beautiful flowers, watching humming birds and butterflies flying by… during those rare moments when you don’t have to rush anywhere, just relax and enjoy….
Any season is the perfect season for knitting! I knit all year round and typically adjust my projects and materials to suit the season.
All seasons are for knitting! 🧶
Chandi,
I love e to knit and crochet all year but if it’s a big blanket that I am working on, I’d chose Fall and/or winter, so I can stay warm at the same time. 😉
Thank you for your daily greetings! So special!
I love love love autumn – the colors, the crispness in the air returning.
I knit year-round but I love when the cooler darker months come, as I enjoy working on bigger heavier projects then. I love the holidays – seeing family and sitting around knitting together and catching up.
All of them! I love creating with fiber!
Spring through fall, I love having a project I can take and work on in the bleachers during my daughters softball practices. Then in fall and winter, is cozying up on the couch with a blanket and cat, enjoying the bubble of warmth while making holiday presents.
Fall and Winter are definitely my favorite seasons to knit especially since I now live in Oregon instead of Hawaii. Cozy with tea or coffee and a fiber goodness project- heavenly. I also use it as a mindfulness practice to defrag my mind all year round.
The beginning of autumn is my favorite time of the year to knit because I usually don’t do any during the summer because it’s just so hot, so by the time the days start getting cooler and shorter, I’m so excited to pick up my yarn and needles again.
I like to crochet all tear round because it is a art and there is no specific time that I prefer to do it, and I do it at my free time since it is calming thing to do to take things off my mind.
I like to crochet all year around, during my free time because it is a stress reliever and I like to create new things with wool and yarn and the season doesn’t matter to me as it is a art.
I need more crochet all year long! If I had to pick a favorite season to do it, I guess it would be winter because it’s just cozier.
Any season! Since crochet is generally my stress relief, I crochet year-round. Each season brings its own exciting reason to love grabbing yarn and hook. Autumn = upcoming holidays with loved ones; Winter = upcoming blossoms and new beginnings of life; Spring = upcoming vacations and sun-kissed cheeks; Summer = upcoming earthy tones, falling leaves, slowing down and appreciating nature
I knit, and I do it just about every evening regardless of season. I just don’t make a lot of big things in summer.
I crochet (and knit) year-round. It’s how I relax after a long day, a stressful moment; how I improve my outlook during illness. My fibers tend to change from cotton and silk in the summer to merino in the cooler months, but that’s not a strict rule.
I crochet, mainly, but sometimes knit, weave, cross-stitch, etc. all year long. I always have a crochet project going because I can take it with me.
I love to knit and crochet all year long. There are just too many great patterns and too much yarn that is calling my name to limit my time. The lightweight yarn is good for warm weather and heavy swishy yarn for cool weather.
My favorite season for any needlework is anytime of the year. From getting project finished for the year in spring to holidays in the fall and winter. Anytime you be here is a great time for crocheting
All of them. I need to keep my hands busy and just love to watch my projects grow.
Every day is a great day for knitting. As long as my hands are busy, I’m happy.
My favorite season to crochet is fall because it gets me into a cozy mindset. Plus it helps keep me warm as the temperature drops.
My favourite season to crochet is winter, since i don’t like cold and it feels more cozy being inside. And what better way to use your time, than to crochet. Maybe a nice movie and some hot cocoa or coffee with it. Mmmm, bring it on! 🙂
Para mi cualquier época del año es válida. No soy experta, pero de vez en cuando me gusta tejer con lana (también con las manos), depende del proyecto que en ese momento me llame la atención.
EVERY season is my favorite season!
I love to crochet in all seasons. The only difference is what I crochet. So, yes, 365 days in a year are best for crochet… 🙂
Any time I can get! I love to relax by crocheting. It also keeps my hands busy, so I don’t snack all night!
its always the colder months since I can then burrow under what I’m crocheting. Also, I use my hand made pieces then too so to make them now is a win-win.
Whichever season it happens to be is my favorite to knit or crochet!
I knit all year round, various projects for the season. Right now, I’ve started a Snow sweater for myself and next will be one for the grandbaby – after a balaclava for him :o)
I crochet all year round, but I love in the fall and winter when I can can make cozy sweaters, blankets, hats, etc.
Winter is my favorite time as with cooler and stormy weather there is more time to wrap yourself in your knitting/crochet projects! Thank you Chandi
I like to knit in every season, but I suppose it really ramps up now, partly because cooler weather is motivating, but also because my kids and grandkids are very knit worthy, so I do a lot of Christmas knitting.
I crochet and knit all year long because it is my favorite pastime. I especially like to crochet and knit spring items. The pastels and bright colors of the seasons makes my heart happy.
Definitely winter and spring cause its always raining in spring in NZ so its the best time to sit down with a cuppa and craft.
After supper….anytime of year. Or, when riding in the car long distances on our Hunt for Spring trip in the spring. Or, in the Fall and Winter trying to finish a sweater or a blanket. Or, in the Summer trying to finish a new mosaic crochet runner for our home. Ah, I guess, anytime.
Hey Chandi , my favorite season to knit or crochet is all of them🤣 . i can usually be inspired to create all year around. i am very grateful to have this skill/hobby 🥰
Hi everyone 🙂 Spring, summer, autumn, or winter – it doesn’t matter. Every season is perfect for crocheting.
My husband says that one day without crocheting wouldn’t kill me – maybe so, but why take the risk?
I love to knit all year long! Living in Florida, we don’t really get winter, so I knit cooler items. I love cowls, socks and sweaters!
I enjoy fiber arts year round, but its certainly nicer to work on large projects like blankets in the fall! I tried working on a blanket this summer and kept overheating 😅
I love to knit and crochet in any season, but fall and winter are definitely my favorite times to do so!
Tough decision, every season is good for knotting and crocheting, but I’ll have to say fall and winter are favorites with all of the fall colors for yarns to try and the cool weather to just sit and stitch!
Autumn. It’s neither too warm nor too cold for me to have the windows open, nor is there pollen everywhere. So it’s my favorite season for most purposes, just because it’s the time of year it’s easiest to breathe.
Hello there! I used to crochet ONLY during football season in the mid-late 80’s, but I now crochet everyday, regardless of season. It’s my favorite me-time! But to choose a season, it would be around Christmas. I live watching holiday Christmas movies with my project on my lap, crocheting away!
My favorite season is winter! I have a month off of school and it is hard to pick up a lot of shifts to work because of all the other college kids also wanting shifts. So I get to actually sit down and crochet some blankets.
I knit and crochet all year, but do especially love working on cozy projects in the fall and winter months!
I crochet all year but I love fall when it’s still light in the evenings and I can work on a larger piece. I love to snuggle under it while I work.
Fall and Winter! adds to the coziness!
Always fall and winter. I feel cozier just knitting something.
Any season except summer. I cannot knit/crochet in the summer since yarn kind of gets stuck to my fingers because of humidity or sweat lol. I like to sew in the summer and the second the temperature drops to below 20-22C I start knitting.
Hello Chandi and team! I knit and crochet year round. In fall and winter I tackle bigger projects that can keep my lap warm. In spring and summer, I move to smaller and lighter weight projects to knit and crochet, and sometimes tat.
Hey Chandi!
I’m new to crotcheting and still on my way to discovery. But so far, all I know is that I can crotchet anytime, anywhere 😆
My favourite season to knit and crochet is the season of advent right before Christmas, but I’m so busy then that most of my knitting is actually done in the summer, when it is hot outside!
Thank you for these inspirations, both from your writing and from the color combinations you present! I do love knitting in the fall, especially since we finally get a reprieve from the heat on the West Coast and can dare to wear sweaters again. Plus, the holidays are coming and my thoughts turn towards others – both family and friends and the charity knits/chrochet, so I look forward to smiles all around.
It always feels like spring or summer in Hawaii and I always have some sort of knitting project in my hands.
My favorite times to knit are the cozy seasons of Fall and Winter – especially for wool items!
I dont have a favorite season to knit or crochet – all of them are great! Winter by the fireplace, Spring in my fave chair in the craft room Summer on the boat while fishing, Autumn on the boat fishing some more!
I really like knitting in any season – at least I don’t have a favorite yet!
Spring is my favourite time to knit, which for me in the Southern Hemisphere is now. I seem to find a fresh burst of energy and become inspired. I crochet all year round though, although save larger projects like blankets for autumn/winter.
I knit and crochet all year long. I love making garments mostly. I am quite an anxious person so it is a way of controlling my anxieties and brings me such joy and comfort:)
Every season is the best time to crochet. When I was selling my house, I was so busy that I did have time and became so much more stressed.
When it’s hot, I work with bamboo or something cooler. Plus I live in an RV so I move to better weather🤪🤪🤪
I knit and crochet all year but I have to say I find myself inspired to start new things in the fall.
Sweater Weather is my favorite time of year! I love to hunker down on my comfy sofa with my knitting and a nice cuppa! Thank you so much for your encouraging words! They really lift my spirits and put life in perspective. 😊🧶
I love to knit and crochet any time the Muse comes to visit!!!
I will admit, though, that Fall and Winter are the best. The crimson & gold leaves wet with Autumn rain or a blanket of white snow quieting the world fill me with peace and serenity that seems to bring forth the best creative juices!🧶👵🐑
I knit and crochet year round, but fall colors always inspire me most. Like right now I have 4 WIPs going.
Thank you for all the beautiful colors, inspiration through patterns and the choices of fibers.
This collection is wonderful, but they always are wonderful ❤️
I like to knit fall and winter. I tend to think I am knitting a hug for the person getting my gift.
I love to crochet in the Fall. I live in the South, so when the cool nights arrive is when I feel the need to cozy up. I am currently finishing up one of your lovely patterns: GLACADH. It is beautiful.
Best season to knit is winter. So cozy, and I don’t need to feel guilty about staying inside as the weather is cold and dark.
I love to knit in the fall and winter, when it’s cold! I knit throughout the year, but the cooler seasons are the best!
As I think about it, I do the most knitting, and crafts in general, in the late fall, winter, and early spring. It makes sense, since that’s the time when outdoor living slows down and the hearth beckons.
To tell you the truth, I crochet and knit more in the summer than any other time! The air conditioning is sometimes too cold, so knitting and crocheting keeps me comfortable.
I prefer the cooler seasons as the warmer seasons are too hot and humid around here, makes working with wool uncomfortable and I don’t like yarn sticking to my fingers when I work with it.
All year all the time!
My favorite season to knit and crochet is winter. Wisconsin winters can be very cold and whatever project I am working on keeps me a little bit warmer.
Live knitting and crocheting in the fall, getting taxi for holiday gifting!
Well, I enjoy crocheting anytime I can. It helps relax me after working. But, if I have to chose a season I will go with Spring. As the days start warming up after the cold months, and everything starts blooming, it is so nice to enjoy the new start to everything, like a breathe of fresh air and the excitement of rebirth in nature. One gets the feeling of good things on the way.
I live in an area that is very warm to very hot 10 months out of the year. I do like to knit or crochet all year round and have been known to carry a small project or two wherever I go.
Autumn/Fall is my favourite time of year to crochet – giving me plenty of time to get Winter garment gifts completed in a relaxed, unrushed, and therefore enjoyable way.
My favorite season is ALL of them!!! Lol t the fall is great though as long as I can get projects done by winter and Christmas gifts. I noticed in the summer i do amigurumi as gifts for my friends kids and my children.
I enjoy knitting and crocheting all year long, and with beautiful yarns like yours how could anyone pick just one season?
I love to knit year round, but the best is summer when we are camping and I can soak up the sun while knitting
I am a November baby and fall is my favorite time of year so fall is my favorite time to crochet or knit. I love fall colors and when I knit I feel warm and cozy. I always gravitate towards all the fall colors and want them all, lol.
I don’t have a favorite season in which to crochet. I crochet year round to make hats for a charity near and dear to my heart.
I like knitting and crocheting in different seasons for different reasons. In the fall, I’m working on things to keep warm during the winter and Christmas gifts. In the winter, I’m working on projects to be warm and cozy when it’s too cold to go outside or there is a snow storm. In the spring, I’m looking for new ideas and patterns to write. In the summer, I’m finalizing projects to enter into the county fair in August.
Winter, so I don’t melt under my projects lol
Like others have said, I crochet year round. My favorite time is probably fall/winter, though, because I tend to get cold very easily. Larger pieces double as lap blankets for me when I’m working on them!
Winter is my favorite season to knit or crochet because that way I can be cozy while I am relaxing
I love fall and winter because of the cooler weather but my favorite is summer because I have more daylight and so I get to enjoy crochet for longer periods of time.
Hello,
My favorite time of year to crochet is the end of Fall/ All of Winter, its a nice way to escape the cold outside. The sound of rain, coffee, and a podcast or YouTube video playing in the background makes the perfect evening!
I love to knit in the fall and winter because my projects keep me warm!
Every season is knitting and crocheting season
All seasons as I mostly do small projects.
All of them, because I don’t like my hands being idle.
All seasons are perfect for knitting and crocheting, you just have to choose the right project that fits. Only one exception I have is knitting socks, that is okay at all year (short, long, thin, thick, lace or other patterns… )
Technically all of them but fall is where the knitting mood really kicks in!
I just started knitting for real last November, learning lace (MKAL Purport) and love it. The plan was to knit all year, which I did, with modifications for high humidity and heat. Start them in summer while they are small, complete as it gets colder and it is cozy while you knit it. Every season is now knitting season 🙂
My favorite season is winter, sitting in front of a logging burning stove, with snow falling and the wind blowing outside. Great time to catch up on shawl and blanket knitting.
I especially love knitting in the fall. It gives me a chance to sit still and enjoy the changing leaves while I prep for winter 😊
Every season for me! I always have multiple projects going and more planned in my head.
I love to knit all year, no matter the season.
I have to say all year round.
I love to knit in the fall, as soon as it starts getting cool. I especially like knitting by the campfire while camping.
Fall and winter are my favorite months to crochet. Stay busy inside and making something cozy to wear in the cold months is comforting and relaxing. I like working with the warm fall colors on a thick yarn, making sweaters for myself and Christmas gifts for others.
Yarn calms the savage beast and soothes the soul, so my moments during the day when I take a knitting break is both therapeutic and fun.
I crochet all year round! It’s my therapy! I love getting lost in my project and forgetting about everything else!
My favorite season to knit is winter – cozy, cozy, cozy!
Those variegated colors are SO pretty! I love to crochet all year, but I especially love it during the colder months. It’s so cozy! I’m attempting my first knit sweater this month. I have the neck done and am getting ready to switch to larger needles for the body of it. The girls at my LYS are helping a lot..they’re wonderful! Wish me luck! I’m determined to do this!
My favorite time to crochet is in the summer. When the days are long and morning comes early. I can sit on my patio when the sun is rising with ny coffee, hook and squishy yarn. In the summer evenings, with the warm sun setting I look to the sunrise for inspiration.
Ill knit all year round but fall and winter are my favorite seasons to knit in because i can make and wear sweaters!
A love to knit year around, because it brings me joy!🌹
Hi Chandi and team,
I like knitting and crocheting all year round. In the cooler months because that is when I make many things for other people (to gift and to donate) and that brings me joy. Also, i really enjoy warmer weather makes, because that is when I get to work with silk, cotton, linen — such lusciousness! So, for me, every season brings me so much joy…
I don’t think I have a favourite time, though, as I live in a warm climate, making a full blanket in Summertime wasn’t my best idea…
My favorite season to knit/crochet is all of them as I have several different types of projects going on throughout the year.
I like to knit and crochet all year ’round. But during the spring and fall seasons I like to make items to wear for the summer/winter.
My favorite is ALL four!! I’m not as active as I once was, but I crochet or knit whenever I have the chance; be it in the car, at the doctor’s office, on the porch, in the a/c during the summer, in front of the fire in the winter, etc. Over a twelve year period, I was one mean crochet machine, and stockpiled dozens on dozens of caps, scarves, shawls, throws and afghans/blankets. I was so blessed to be able to send these to survivors of the hurricane in NC last year. Never let anyone criticize your fanaticism in stockpiling your crochet and knitted items, because there’s always a plan for their use.
Crochet year round. While my husband is relaxing in front of the tv, my hands are always busy with crochet; sewing is too distracting he tells me!
I knit year round but my favourite season is when it’s cold outside and I’m all cosy inside with my knitting.
Chandi….first of all, I just love your yarns. The pieces that I have made over the years with your yarns are cherished keepsakes by everyone I made them for. And I look forward to your LIVE broadcasts on Facebook and Instagram.
My all time favorite time to knit is in the fall and winter. There is something so comforting about snuggling up with my needles and stash when the weather gets cooler. But honestly, I don’t feel complete unless I have something on the needles.
I typically crochet year round, but fall and winter are my most prolific seasons due to not being able to get outside as much.
I don’t really have a favorite season. I always have a crochet project, knit project, jewelry project, whittling project, and embroidery project going at the same time. I try to work a little each day on each of them. Yes, I am aware I am crazy, 😂
Hi beautiful Chandi and beautiful team at Expression Fiber Arts! I love you guys so much (I can’t stop ordering…LoL)!!! I am a crocheting knitter who loves to knit or crochet or both every day, mainly due to my ADHD, it serves as a stim for me, and it calms me, centers me and helps me focus and lowers my blood pressure. I started crocheting/knitting when my mom passed away 2 years ago, as a way to stay connected to her, and I have loved every second, every frustrating minute of learning something new, and the rewards have been immeasurable. I am currently working on leveling up my lace knitting skills, specifically reading charts, and I am knitting the Peconic shawl at the moment and I love it. Thank you for having the charts and written instructions. Ok, take care and all the best to everyone here.
You’re very welcome! Thank you for sharing. 💕
As the song says (Turn, Turn, Turn) ……To everything, knit, crochet, knit. To every season, knit, crochet, knit.
Fall and winter are my favorite times to knit/crochet. With the darker days, I just want to do all the cozy things, and one of the coziest things of all is curling up by the fire with a hot drink and my knitting. 😀
Anytime is the perfect season!
I’d have to say all seasons too – always fun!
What a beautiful and very generous giveaway!!
It would be so much fun to win and even share with friends!!
I like knitting all year but if I needed to pick a season I would say wintertime help keep me warm and toasty!😉
I am new to crocheting (started in June) but so far I’m thinking every season is perfect for it. It’s so relaxing.
I love knitting in the fall, when things are just beginning to get chilly. I feel like I’ll have enough time to wear and enjoy the things I’ll make.
I knit year round almost every day because I love to knit especially shawls!
All year long baby!!! It’s my escape
I’m addicted to crochet so I’m always crocheting during every season! Having said that I think the winter is probably the cosiest time, when the evenings draw in and I can sit under a blanket with a warm drink 🙂 I just have to say that I absolutely love the colors this month – some of my favorites!
I think autumn and winter are my favourite seasons to crochet (can’t quite knit yet)! Here in the UK where I live (North East Coast) it gets cold, wet and windy! Nothing more relaxing than the sound of the rain on your window and knowing you are warm and cosy inside with your yarn and your hook!
I find I have more time to knit in the winter. The kids go to bed earlier, the to-do lists seem shorter, and the evenings are just quieter for doing something calm and focused. I enjoy knitting more when I can get into a daily routine and not forget what I was working on.
I crochet all year long, but spend more time working on pieces in the fall and winter. There is nothing like feeling a piece growing on your lap and enjoying the warmth it brings.
Ooh I love purple! Gorgeous yarns as always!
I love knitting and crocheting all year, but especially when it gets chilly because my project can double as a blanket!
I knit year round, but I suppose it’s most enjoyable when it it’s cold out, so winter.
I have the most time to crochet in the fall! Summer is always a hectic season, and I live in the Tetons so during the winter I am skiing a lot. Fall is such a lovely time of introspection and slowing down for me. Plus I love working up a nice warm sweater to wear all winter long 🙂
My favorite season to crochet is Fall, but since I live in Arizona I don’t really get a “Fall Season.” So, the whole year has become my favorite season!
I crochet year round. I change the projects and type of yarn according to how warm it is😁.
Mostly Fall & Winter, it’s cozy and keeps me warm!
My favorite time of year to crochet is probably winter, I love having a big project to cuddle up with when it’s snowing out. ♥️
I’m rarely in a place that has a chilly autumn season, but I love getting to knit when it’s just a bit cooler and my project can keep me warm while I knot
Love to knit and crochet all year long however fall and winter are my favourite times to knit either in front of the fire or in from of the large bay window watching the leaves change or the snow fall
I love to knit all year long! But those long winter evenings… 😻🛋️🧶☕️
What gorgeous yarn some lucky person will win! If I won, I would share for sure.
I enjoyed making afghans and hats for my kids this past spring and summer because I didn’t feel rushed to get them done before the cold weather came. This is my first year crocheting, and I am learning to knit. Also, November is my birthday month, and I am looking forward to treating myself with some more pretty yarn.
I love to knit and crochet all year long, but there is something extra cozy when the fall starts to turn to winter and I’m working on my projects at night drinking hot tea and having Christmas movies playing in the background.
I’m an allseason knitter but winter is my favorite. A lap full of wooly knitting when it’s cold out is the best.
I seem to lean into knitting during the cooler months. There’s something extra cozy about knitting next to a fire in the fireplace.
I love to crochet spring, summer, fall, & winter.
All year round! I’m completely addicted and rarely take a day off knitting!
I live in the tropics so we don’t have strong seasonal changes. I crochet more, well, when I do. It looks like I have let circumstances take me away from my projects 🥺 So thank you for the question, I really need to finish them, they are for special people. That’s my favorite time to pick up needles and yarn, when I want to make something for someone I love, a special occasion: baby blanket, wedding present 💖. Merci, mahalo for the reminder, I need to pick them up today ✨ enjoy yours 😊
Thank you for the opportunity to enter your giveaway Chandi ❤️ I knit and crochet year round, but would say impending grandmotherhood is my current favourite season! My very first grandchild is due in March, so I’m taking this time to craft for everyone else! Baby items will be on the hook or needle after Christmas and I’m aiming to have made something for everyone else first ❤️
My favorite season is definite autumn. Beautiful colors outside, a nip in the air cured by a cozy hoodie, the holidays coming up soon to celebrate with family and warm yarn in your lap being fashioned from my needles.
This is an incredible giveaway, thank you!! I love every single one. 🙂
Hello:) my favorite season to knit is, every season:) if I had to pick one or put them in order it would be Winter for the win then Autumn, Spring, & Summer.
Happy knitting and good luck all.
I love to knit and crochet all year. Working with yarn soothes and comforts me so I do it all the time. Any project, any time.
I don’t have a favorite season to knit….I want to do it daily. But it’s a bit less comfortable when it’s hot out, just cause the yarn doesn’t move as well when you feel sweaty! :O lol.
I love to crochet all year round but especially in the fall and winter when you can snuggle with your project as you are creating.
I love crocheting and knitting all year long. Maybe I prefer doing it during autumn/winter, so that my wip can keep me warm while I knit it 🤭
I enjoy knitting and crocheting year round, but my favorite has to be in the fall. The cooling air makes cuddling up with a project enjoyable. The beautiful colors give me so much inspiration. I also tend to make things that will be gifts during the fall. My love language is time so every minute spent working on a gift is steeped in memories of the person I’m making it for.
I am a year-round crocheter. But what I make tends to depend on the season: jewelry, bags, small, light items in the summer; shawls, blankets, sweaters and heavier items in the winter. Can’t really take a break. So many must-make patterns, so little time! 😁
My favorite season or seasons to knit is in the fall and winter. I live in the high desert and it’s just too hot to knit in the summer.
My favourite season to crochet is Autumn – but that’s just because its my favourite season anyway 🤭 I love to crochet whenever and wherever I can!
I like it year round! I just tend to crochet blankets and warmer things in the winter and then lighter things in the summer!
I need to pick a season that’s my fav for knitting? All 365 days isn’t an answer? Umm maybe autumn then. I’ll make warm or cool weather projects year round but I’m certainly feeling more like making hats and mitts in the autumn to prep for winter so I have a new hat etc, so I’ll go with autumn.
My favorite time of the year is Winter <3 It's not too hot and I can get comfy, watch a movie, and make magic happen.
I knit all year round, whenever I can find time. Hubby keeps the AC on too cold, so clearly, I can knit in the summer (when I have time from gardening). But my favorite time of year is the colder months, and we have a lot of those here in Michigan, USA. If I had a fireplace, I would probably put the garden to bed on the first cool day, light a fire, and knit until my hands cramped! But I don’t, so it’s just a fragrant candle and my yarn and needles. And shooing away my cat, Wolf, who thinks yarn is dental floss.
I craft year round, but knitting in winter feels extra cozy!
I love to knit year round, but winter is nice if I’m working on a throw!
I’m usually creating for Christmas and I’m doing it year round. Does that make it the winter season? I guess it’s all seasons…
Every season is my favourite for crafting and crochet! I spend the fall making items for the cold months ahead and stay warm inside during winter months prepping my summer crochet projects!
My favorite season to knit and crochet is Fall, because it’s cooler and I can curl up under my project as I’m working on it. So cozy 🍂
My favorite time to knit is after the Christmas season is over and other projects are done, flower beds are put to rest and I can just chill and go through my yarn stash and plan some projects for the new year that just make me happy.
I love to knit & crochet so I craft all year long!
I love to knit & crochet so I craft all year long!
I love to knit and crochet in any season! But I find myself knitting more in the Fall and Winter, but especially when it is snowing. I love snow! And I seem to crochet more in Spring and Summer. When it gets hot, it really gets hot, so the thinner weight cottons sock weight, fingering are great when the heat kicks up. Thank you, Chandi, for all that you give to your customers, you are so special to me. I also love “Droplets of Joy”, please keep writing. Love your yarns and your Customer Service is outstanding! Your Newsletter is always one of my favorites to read, just to feel the peace and comfort you impart. If I could give you and your business a rating it would be a triple A+.
I have a new project that I started, I knit or crochet a shawl for friends and neighbors that go out of their way to help others. I love to find out their favorite color or colors, so the shawl can be extra special to them. I also try very hard to hide in the background, so they don’t know who sent the item to them. It is so much fun!
Wait, do I HAVE to pick one or can l just say. . . all of them. That’s the wonder of air conditioning here in Texas as I can stay inside and knit to my heart’s content. I usually have a small project bag with me wherever I go somewhere that may include waiting time. Lately I’ve picked up crochet as well, making fidget toys or baby toys to donate. Either one is usually quite relaxing while being productive at the same time.
I love to craft at all times. In the summer outside and winter, spring and fall inside. As long as I am able to craft I feel blessed.
No favourite season – I knit and crochet throughout the year. I try and do something every day in the evening – it’s a great way to relax before bed.
I don’t have a favourite😁I love knitting all year long..it’s my therapy and stress reliever🤗
I just got back home from travelling and I love to crochet while waiting at the airport and on the plane. I’m crocheting the Fale shawl from your website and got about a third done during this trip!
I love knitting for all seasons but have to admit winter knits are the best!
It is hard to pick a favorite season, Crochet in the fall/winter is nice when doing a blanket you get to have it keep you warm as you work on it, hehe. Also Christmas gifts, I start them in the summer so there is plenty of time but still starting ones in december also so everyone gets one. Making things as gifts is my favorite, seeing peoples faces light up and get excited about the things I make them really brings me so much joy.
Hi Chandi, all seasons knitter/crocheter here. Im in New Zealand so we are heading into summer. I love the colours of your yarn, and am finding your patterns so easy to follow – the tutorials really help! Thank you
I have WIPs for all the seasons, but find myself more active in spring. It is still a bit cold but much brighter out there and I love that combination.
As this past year so clearly proved it…. Any season is knitting season!
Winter! Helps me feel warm and cozy, and I have more time ♥️
Fav season to crochet, Spring and Fall, where the sweaters aren’t to heavy and the blankets start to call your name.
I can’t decide between fall and winter! I love fall in general, so I’ll say that’s my favorite season for fiber artsing!
Hi, My favorite time of the year to knit is in spring . I can make cute hats for tea parties, and shirts without it being to hot.
Winter months are nice too though. With all the cozy clothes I can make.
I cricket year round however I think this year I’m going to spin all fall and winter and crochet only in the spring and summer. I can take my crochet with me wherever I go but I’m not bringing my wheel everywhere lol
My favorite season to knit or crochet is autumn…winter…spring…summer…always calming with needles or hooks in my hands.
I knit and crochet all year long, I just change what I’m making based on the season. Blankets are my favorite when it gets cold outside.
I knit or crochet year round. I work on larger projects in winter, because they warm my lap while I work. In summer, it’s definitely socks!
I crochet/knit all year long. but I’m definately a bit more productive during autum and winter. Days are shorter and I spend more time inside so I find more time for crafts. Also the yarn slips better than in summer.
I live in the North and seasonal changes are extreme. It is too hot to knit or crochet big projects in the summer so that is when all the little projects come out. But, my favorite season to knit? Fall and winter! As the year draws to a close and cold temperatures arrive, nothing is as cozy as hot tea and a much anticipated project on the needles!
Bonjour,
I love to knit anytime 😊 long winter evening indoors both summer breeze evening outside…
My favorite season to knit and crochet starts on January 1st and finishes on December 31st! 😊😊 I Am 54 years old and I would love to have more time for it, but at the same time, I’m happy because I’m fulfilling one of my lifelong dreams: studying for a university degree. It takes up many more hours each day because I’m studying in a language that isn’t my native language —I’m studying in English, and my native language is Spanish—but I’m loving what I’m doing and enjoying it so much! Right now, I might not have all the time I’d like for knitting and crocheting, but once I finish my degree, there will be much more! Thank you for this opportunity! ❤️❤️❤️
All of them! I knit just as often in the warmer months as in the colder months, though my preferred types of projects tend to change. If I had to pick a favorite season, I guess I’d say winter because I love to knit garments and the cold weather gives me the chance to wear them… while knitting more!
Is there a best season for knitting? 😉 In truth, I knit all year long but it’s especially happy in the fall as I think about projects I want to make to give to my loved ones at Christmas.
My favorite season to knit is Spring. I just feel alive and refreshed and I like to plan my Christmas knitting at that time to have enough time to make my biggest projects for the Season. That said, I knit every. single. day. “One more row” is said so frequently that my family uses that when they need an extra minute to do anything. I also love to crochet and sometimes combine the two methods on projects.
My favorite time to crochet is spring. Do a little gardening in the morning, crochet when the heat kicks in. Perfect day that I would actually get maybe 3-4 times a season
I love knitting and crocheting all year round. I think my best time would be the Autumn, knitting and crocheting with autumn colours, making blankets and large shawls which keep you warn while doing them.
Yes, another vote for fall and winter. It just adds to the warmth and coziness!
Every season is fiber art season. 34 years and counting.
Hello Chandi and entire Expression Fiber Arts Team,
I would have to say the Fall/Winter months are my favorite time to crochet and craft. I live in Michigan, so once my outside chores are done til Spring it gives me more time to craft inside. I always have something on my hook year round but I’m most productive during the winter months.
All of them. Every season is knitting season ❤️
I knit and crochet all year round. But in the cold season I knit more blankets and sweaters.
I honestly don’t have a “favorite season” to craft, I simply do it because I love the process.
There’s no “gift making season” either, if someone seems worthy of a handmade gift, they can receive it at anytime. You CAN randomly celebrate Thursday. 😉
I love to knit year round, tho I usually knit heavier items (think blankets) in the fall/winter & lighter items in the spring/summer. I live in the desert, so hot is HOT lol!
I knit all year round, but it’s definitely best in winter when I’m knitting something large, like a sweater, and it warms me up as I make it.
Winter, it keeps my hands warm lol
Winter is my favorite time to knit and crochet because it helps keep me warm. ☺️ Also there is just more creative time without the outside gardens calling to me. I do both all year but with less time spent, usually as I wait for something else – meal at a restaurant or at a doctor office, etc.
Absolutely have been loving the feel of your yarns. 🥰
Knit year round, but fall and winter are my favorite months to sit and knit for a bit.
Fall is my favorite crochet season, followed closely by winter.
I like the colder months most … that way the yarn keep me warmer. So actually I use the item before anyone else…. I know selfish of me isn’t it? !
Every season is my favorite time to knit and crochet! I have a project in the works all year round, even on vacation.
I love projects in the winter time, when it’s too cold to be outside and you can wrap up in a bunch of blankets!
I knit year round, when I get a break from work. I picked it up again after some spine surgeries, and it gives me such pleasure and a sense of accomplishment, especially when I’m back to learning how to walk all over again! But my fingers can fly!
I don’t think I have a favorite knitting and crocheting season. I’m very interested all year long!
I mostly knit but I like to knit and crochet almost all year round. The only time I don’t like to is in the summer when my hands are hot and make my needles (or hook) sticky.
I work on project years round, but Winter is my favourite because I can knit/crochet anything and not have to plan ahead like in summer when it’s too hot to make larger projects.
Each season has its own magic… I love all of them 😁💜
My favorite season is fall because I love to make sweaters and blankets and it’s getting cool enough to wear them and work on them outside without overheating.
Fall and winter are my favorite times to knit. I seem to knit faster during that time at least.
My favorite season to knit is summer! All of the beautiful cotton tank tops and the long natural lighting is good 🙂
Fall/winter because it’s so cozy, and I love making sweaters and blankets.
I love to knit all year long!
I love to knit and crochet all year, however, I find that I am particularly drawn to my craft the most during the winter months. Thank you for all you do.
Knitting is definitely my winter evening hobby but I will knit any time.
Hi, Chandi, Valeri here. My favorite season to do anything, but especially crochet, is autumn. Working up a blanket becomes a cozy meditation. What more is there?
there’s no “better” time to craft! I just change what I’m working on depending on the season 😂
My favorite season to knit is all the time! It brings me joy and it relaxes me and I love making things for others.
My favorite time of year to knit and crochet is anytime I can sit on my porch! Porch knitting is the best!
I crochet (and knit) all year, but in autumn my projects seem to pick up speed, probably because it’s cooler, so I can work longer without getting too sweaty.
I crochet all year so each season I’m working on some project. Summer heat does make me want to use lighter yarns and smaller projects.
I like to crochet year-round, but crocheting during winter is especially relaxing for me. Thank you for the amazing yarns and patterns that you and your team work on!
I love to knit all year long. But I have to say my favorite times to knit are Fall and Winter.
Crocheting in the fall and winter (and even early spring) is my favorite
Nothing better than being cold and using your project to keep you warm, it’s a bonus
I prefer to knit in winter, mostly because I get hot very easily and my cats love to sit with me, which adds to the heater even more. 😅
Anytime I want to chill out and especially here in Texas when the weather can be too extreme. Working with my hands crocheting or knitting brings me peace and I love creating things
I am so attached to knitting that I knit cozy garments in every season. I suppose I like knitting best in summer because I can live life a little slower than.
I love to crochet in the fall/winter and I enjoy knitting in the spring and summer. I’m not sure why exactly, maybe just switch it up a little bit between knitting and crocheting. But I love both and I absolutely love Chandi and Expressions Fiber Arts!!!
My favourite time of year to knit or crochet is honestly all year long. But if I had to narrow it down, it would be during the cold months here in Canada – late fall and through winter. I love having a WIP, a yummy pile of crocheted or knit yarn, in my lap while I’m working on a project. It makes me feel so cozy! ❤️
My favourite season to knit is Autumn, because I’m usually knitting Christmas presents for my family!
I think I prefer to crochet in the winter & to crochet winter items like blankets, hats, scarves etc… I think it’s because I like working with heavier yarns. However; I also really enjoy the delicacy of a good shawl too.
Hi Chandi!
My favorite season(s) to crochet and do other crafts is late fall through winter. The air is cold and it’s the perfect season to light a candle, curl up on the couch, and make something cozy.
My favourite season to knit is winter
I make a lot of amigurumi and this year I’ve enjoyed making items for the spring/summer. I focused on farm life baby animals & veges, so this was my favorite season crocheting.
My favorite time to knit is always whether it’s just making a small swatch or trying a new cable, lately it’s been Brioche because I’m not getting it. It looks bad when I knit it. Fall and winter are the times I love to make projects and get into animal fibers. Summer some fibers give my hands a rough time. I love knitting with a cup of tea or coffee on those colder days.
I love to crochet and knit tear round, I double down on knitting in winter though. Crochet is more of a summer thing for me because of the airy nature of the weave.
~Mary
All Seasons!
The season I am in is always my favorite!
My favorite season to knit is really the colder months, but ranges from fall to spring. That doesn’t tend to stop me from knitting in the summer though.
My favorite season to knit or crochet is…is daily a season?
Winter, because it gives my hands something to do while being warm and snuggly inside!
My favorite is the winter before Christmas, I love gift knitting and the cold.
I always like to knit! I can’t remember a day recently when I haven’t knitted at least one row 😉 I especially enjoy it with great yarn like the beautiful colors from EFA!!
Fall is my favourite season to create! The colours and the crisp air and the perfect pairing !
I’m a beginner knitter so I tend to knit all year developing my skills. I do like knitting in the cozy seasons and I love the fall colors.
I knit all year round…I adjust the size of the project depending on the temperature
All seasons! To be fair, though, I live in Houston, TX, and we don’t really have seasons — we have summer (about 9 months) and not summer (all the rest). As I’m writing this, in November, it’s 80° outside. Twice a year we have about 3 days off really excellent weather, and those are my favorite days to sit outside and crochet — nothing beats it!
I am relatively new to knitting. Two years in and I am completely hooked! There is rarely a day when I don’t sit down and do at least a few rows, and certainly never a day when I am not thinking about my current project, my next project and the next! So I guess I don’t really have a favourite season to knit, but I do feel most inspired by all the beautiful autumn colours and want to translate them all into something woolly!
I live in the Sonoran desert, so my favorite time to crochet is summer, when staying in an air-conditioned space is um. Preferred.
My favorite time of year to crochet is whenever I get some spare time – I crochet year round!
Every season is a favorite for knitting, I don’t put down the needles.
Knitting is my place of peace with each season bringing its own creative spirit. I love spring when everything seems to be waking up – colors are bright and days are getting longer. I love the intricacy of a sheer lacy knit. But, there is nothing more comforting than a snowy day, a hot drink, and a warm cozy knit by the fire.
I always like to knit or crochet, but the mist satisfying time is late autumn, novembre evenings, and Christmas days.
My favorite time of the year to knit is summer. However, I enjoy knitting all year, any season.
All year round. Though of course it is much more enjoyable to knit with a whole sweater in your lap in the winter than it is in the summer!
I enjoy crocheting every season because than I gift all the items I make to friends and co workers.
I’m a year round crocheter. Fall, of course being my favorite time!
Fall and winter are my favorite seasons for knit and crochet projects, because I love being productive and cozy inside when the weather is chilly!
ALL of them!! I live winter because I can use wool but here in sunny FL I use cotton or linen in the summer. But I love knitting every single day!!
I love to crochet in the fall because it’s the coziest time of year and I can crochet on the porch or inside the house.
Hello all 😊. I don’t have a favorite time of year to knit and crochet. I love it all year long. The projects are different though. Thank you Chandi.
Different fibers for different seasons, but I love knitting year round.
Winter is always a nice time to knit a blanket…. Keeps you warm while your knitting. But I enjoy knitting year round. Love the giveaway. such beautiful colors.
I love to knit year round but I get the most time to do it in the winter when life slows down. There’s nothing better than knitting with a warm cup of tea and a cozy blanket while the snow in falling outside!
I don’t have a favorite season for yarn crafts. Why would I? That makes no sense to me. I can kinda see the sense in only knitting small things in summer, but why would anyone not knit at all just because of the season?
Fiberarts are a great way to pass the long, dark, cold nights of winter.
Every season is my favorite season to crochet. I do it every single day.
My favorite season to knit or crochet, and why? I think my favorite season is “waiting room” because I’ve been doing a fair amount of doctor’s appointments recently, and having a small bag/project with me makes the waiting more “productive” and less anxious and tedious. Tunisian scarves and especially granny squares are ideal carry-alongs, easy to put down and pick up again when waiting in an exam room, or listening as my DH is talking to his doctor, and I’m there for support.
My favorite time to knit starts in fall, as soon as the weather has cooled down enough to have an extra layer of wool in my lap.
I enjoy crocheting any time, but fall and winter are my favorite times. It’s cozy to have the current work in progress on my lap on those chilly days and evenings! I like to take my crocheting along when I go to doctors appointments too. I have to attend all medical appointments for my family members (autism does not equal attention or remembering the details!) and crochet to “keep my hands busy and my mouth shut!” during visits. Such a peaceful hobby!
Spring season is my favourite knitting companion. My favourite thing in the whole world, is to be knitting along, then to look up for a moment to see all the new blooms, green sprouts and wash of colours fighting their way to glory. I get a surge of pleasure at the sights.
I look back down at my clinking needles, pause, look back up, refreshing pleasure, and repeat 🧶💚💙💜💛🩷🧡🤩😇
I like to knit in the autumn because I get to wear the cozy things I’ve made, but it’s not so cold that my hands turn in to popsicles while trying to craft.
Fal. Fall is the best season for everything!
My favorite season is the fall asleep I make gifts for the upcoming holiday season.
Hello to all, I live in Alicante, Spain and my favourite season is Autumn 🥰, is so nice and windy, not too cold, and we can knit or crochet any kind of garments, and the colours are beautiful 😍
I love to knit and crochet in the winter when it’s chilly and dark and I can curl up with some snuggly yarn and make something scrumptious to wear.
My favorite season to yarn craft (I knit and crochet) – I always say I don’t have favorites, I have moods – and as I do a lot of charity yarn crafting there is no season … but blankets and afghans are better in the fall and winter months – smaller projects in the warmer months. If I really had to pick a “favorite” I would have to say the fall / winter holiday season. It is darker out, it is cooler / colder out – I am less inclined for beach strolls and less inclined for hiking through the woods, and more inclined to kick back in my lazy chair and yarn craft. (I started Purport on Halloween, lol)
