Successful Attempt to Dye Self-Striping Yarn!

Fall colors, dyeing hand-made self-striping yarn

by Chandi on August 26, 2011

Hurray! I successfully dyed self-striping yarn !!

I made a HUGE skein and dunked each end into a different color and the middle into a third color. Let dry. Wound into a ball. Knit it up on my knitting machine, and voila. Stripes!!! Happy!

I’ve done it before, but on accident, so I wanted to see if I could duplicate it and yessiree. It was super easy. That is all!!

Have a good night!
