Hello, my amazing friend!  Our knitting pattern for you this week is our Cirro-Velum top!

Cirro-Velum is an Advanced Beginner for those knitters who are ready to learn some new skills or stitch combinations, including slipping stitches and a continuous I-cord.

Cirro-velum is a horizontal sheet of high cloud without much structure, possibly with a wavy under-surface, veiling the whole sky. This drapey vest is a simply textured rectangle knit horizontally. The four-row pattern repeat breaks only for armholes created by an I-cord bind-off and cast-on that duplicates the continuous I-cord borders. This seamless piece is one size fits most with three options for armhole size and placement, which may alter length and drape on individual frames.

I hope that while you’re making it you feel relaxed and at ease.

This beautiful vest is made with our Oasis Camel Silk Fingering in our Serene Hues kit for a warm and incredibly soft vest that go over any top and will keep you warm on cool nights.

We have filmed a video tutorial for you showing you how to work the i-cord cast off plus the kitchener stitch for this vest.. Have a look:

Also! Be sure to check out our Epicharmus video for instructions on Judy’s Magic Cast On, the i-cord cast on and the foundation rows.

This vest is knit in an easy to memorize slipped stitch pattern! The colors change every few rows to give a lovely, gradient effect.

The sample shown used approximately 1,425 yards total of Oasis Camel Silk Fingering yarn, but you can substitute another fingering weight yarn instead, if you prefer.

I hope knitting you love knitting vest as much as we loved designing it for you! Enjoy this beautiful gift of a day!
