At the beginning of this summer, I asked myself a very important question:
“If I could do anything in life, what would be the ultimate, most fulfilling thing I could do?”
I already knew. I would start a knitting blog someday, when I was older. Older and less afraid.
Afraid of what, I’m not sure… That would people would say, “Oh, this blog is stupid?” Ha ha! My sis and I had a good laugh over that one!
Once I realized my fears were unfounded and even slightly ridiculous, I started a knitting blog. Not this one.
And a few weeks into it, I realized, that as much as I loved writing it, I wanted to take it further. I didn’t just want to write about my knitting projects and yarn I found.
I wanted to contribute to the knitting/crocheting/spinning/yarn/fiber world in my own way. I felt I had something to offer! So I recreated the name and purpose and here I am, writing THIS knitting blog.
I want to combine several of the things I love most in the world and create a blog/business/inspirational source…Well, here’s a list for you!
The purpose of this knitting blog and my business is:
-To Inspire you (with pretty pictures, amazing yarn and fiber projects I find online, etc)
-To Share awesome patterns and projects, to help you think outside the box and positively influence your creativity
-To Empower you to live a more fulfilled life with positive quotes and life lessons
-To Discuss life lessons learned through knitting and crocheting and spinning
-To Offer amazing, hand-painted yarn and roving and other knitty goodness, if I feel it adds benefit to the fiber world and your life.
-To Encourage you to create fearlessly, and not compare yourself to others. Just create what you love. (So important!!)
-In sum, to weave positivity with the yarn and fiber world! Two of my favorite things in life!!
I hope you enjoy reading my blog and that it brightens your day; that it makes your life better.
Welcome, as we take this journey together!

P.S. Yes, that’s a picture of me, leaning over my hand-painted wool sock yarn, examining it in the Alaskan sun. 🙂
I absolutely love your hand-dyed yarns. I actually just experimented with this yesterday and I had so much fun! I know…maybe it doesn’t take much! But, I’m looking at the colorful skeins this a.m. and I’m feeling so satisfied with it! Keep up the amazing work!!!!
Very cool. I love Dr. Who scarfs. However, I would go nuts kntiting one. I am very thankful your father favors short ones. Lately I’ve been trying small things. Trying to develop a basic tam pattern that can be adjusted for any size. Maybe I’ll try felting.
