One thing that brings me joy, is feeling the love of a supportive and loving family. I was raised by an abusive family of origin, but my soon to be in laws show me what I was missing out on. The love, the support, the feeling proud of me. I wouldn’t give it up for the world. My soon to be husband is the most amazing person and I see where his amazingness comes from now.

An UNEXPECTED joy: I am currently doing my Estate Planning. I have no spouse or children, and have decided to choose two charitable organizations as my beneficiaries. I am now disabled, and had to retire early from my nursing career. I decided on two WONDERFUL charities that will provide many people with much relief and assistance. I feel such great joy, to know that even though I am not able to contribute to charities now (I have to hold my funds, for ‘just in case’ needs), I am able to contribute to many others needs/lives after I am gone. I don’t want this to sound morbid, it is a lovely experience.

He died to save me from my sins and so that I can know that I will spend eternity in Heaven and not have to face an eternity of suffering in the Lake of Fire. He loved me enough to do that for me. And He did it for the sins of everyone in the entire world…all you have to do is accept His free gift of eternal life and you too can know this joy that surpasses all understanding!

Knitting using luscious squishy yarn, with my cat in my lap (she’s very good at leaving it alone!) and my husband sitting next to me – that brings me so much joy.

There is nothing like opening a box full of yarn, feeling the squishy softness of it and seeing the amazing colors, knowing it will be crocheted into a gift for someone special.

I love to hear my grandchildren’s voices as they chatter away! They live in Wales and I live in Canada so if I’m lucky I get to hear them in person once a year!!
