Hello, sweet soul! I have a wonderful pattern to share with you today! Our knit pattern this week is a beautiful sweater in two styles that is sure to become a wardrobe staple. Read on to learn more about it!

Giselle was designed by Debi Maige. When asked about her inspiration for this sweater, Debi said, “In the ballet world, Giselle is a dark and twisted tale of unrequited love, madness, and death. In the knitting world, the Giselle sweater is also full of dark twists and turns, but rather than leading to madness (at least I certainly hope not!), they lead to a lovely, delicate lace yoke and twisted stitch link detail down the sleeves and side seams.”“The garment has two versions, both of which are worked seamlessly top down. Version 1 starts with a delicate twisted edge, which is repeated at the hem and the edge of the bell sleeves. Version 2 starts and finishes with a pretty twisted rib. Both versions can be customized to suit your sleeve and body length tastes.”

Giselle is made with our sumptuous Crema Sock yarn. This yarn is bouncy and long-lasting with gorgeous drape, excellent structure, a soft hand, and a subtle glow! It is a dreamy yarn that takes the dye incredibly well, which results in fabulous, hand-dyed shades!

The sweater comes in sizes XS – 5XL and is designed to be worn with 1-2”/ 2.5-5 cm of positive ease.

The samples are shown in colors: Overcast (Version 1) and Persephone (Version 2), and the sweater uses 4 (4, 4, 5) (5, 6, 6) (7, 7) skeins depending on the selected size. The body can be cropped or lengthened, as desired.

This Intermediate level pattern is for knitters who feel comfortable with knitting and have made a few projects, using various skills and techniques. Skills/concepts include short rows, chart reading, and garment sizing.
