I mostly use worsted weight so I can finish projects more quickly.
I love this giveaway. Yak is so wonderful to knit with. I use fingering weight yarn most often.
I mostly use worsted weight yarns but have use 3ply, sport and fine weight depending on the project. This could with either knitting or crocheting
I use any kind of yarn but mostly crochet using 4 or 3 weight. Some of the projects I want to start use fingering and will be looking forward to seeing how my craft evolves with a different weight. Oh, the possibilities are endless!

Hello from Crete!!i love your yarns!!! I crocheted adalia shawl with your fingering yarn and it was wonderful to work with and wear!!so soft!!!i also use dk
I’ve been using mostly fingering weight right now. Lots of socks and shawls 💕
Hi, Chandi — I can’t figure out how to make a post, but in reply to Susan, I favor DK and fingering. They use needles that a comfortable in my hands, and the projects don’t get too heavy. I make mostly shawls and scarfs – I don’t like seams. LOL. Thank you for this give-away.
Used to be worsted but have fallen in love with fingering
Hi Chandi,
I mostly use DK or fingering weight. Although lately I have been knitting lace patterns with lace weight silk or fingering weight. Love how the patterns ‘open up’ after blocking! Your many video tutorials guide me so well. Thanks for this great contest!
Kind Regards,
Alice from S. Surrey in BC, Canada
I use all weights, but use DK most.
I love to knit with a variety of yarns. It depends on the colors/pattern/price and how much yarn I will need. If I am purchasing from EFA, I prefer the fingering due to quantity for the price. The yarn that appeals to me that is not over priced and goes the furthest, I purchase.
I knit with worsted weight yarn most of the time.
Hey Chandi, Thank you for the giveaway. I mostly crochet with dk weight yarn.
I most use worsted but I love working with anything!
Hi Chandi,
I think I enjoy knitting with fingering weight yarn the most.
Hiya, my favourite weight to knit with is fingering. I live making shawls and socks with it.
This give away is stunning! It’s so exciting!!! My favorite yarn weight used to be bulky, then I started making your shawls. Now my two favorite yarn weights are fingering and DK. Thanks for introducing me to new horizons with yarn!
My favorite yarn weight is DK or worsted, but I’ve also made some beautiful things with fingering weight and bulky, as well! I am a yarn addict. 🙂 I love the color combinations in your giveaways!
I don’t have a particular favorite, I love them all! #3 is the smallest I have used so far. These are beautiful just like all of your yarns are. Thank you for the opportunity to win some lovely 🧶.
OMG it’s so beautiful! I usually use lace, but want to start using fingering weight more often.
Mostly fingering and dk. I like fingering, sport and dk for shawls, scarves and dusters. Worsted and bulky for hats.
Thank you Chandi for another generous giveaway!
Good luck everyone!
I use Dk weight much more than most others as I find it easier on my hands. Also I can make a bit more intricate lace patterns pop more.
Fingering weight is my absolute favorite! 💕
I love using fingering weight for little baby things and socks and whatnot. It makes it so much more satisfying when I knit something up super quickly in bulky yarn 🤭.
With your beautiful patterns and yarns I knit and crochet. I love all types of fibers and colors. But my fave are Dk and fingerings. Thank you! For all you do!
I have been using fingering yarn more and more as I’ve become addicted to knitting socks!
Mostly worsted closely followed by sport. But fingering is creeping up there!
Worsted weight and fingering weight..
Sport/dk are my favorites since they look great but work up faster than sock.
Prefer sport/dk too. Needle size required is most comfortable for me.
Goodness, how to choose a favourite? I knit with fingering and sport the most, probably, but worsted and lace come in for a fair few projects, too. 🙂
I love to use fingering weight for apparel, and bulky for chunky blankets.
I mostly use fingering weight yarn
Hello! I used to use DK for most of my projects when I made blankets, but now that I’ve switched to crocheting more wearables like shawls and cardigans, I prefer fingering weight. I admit I have to watch my gauge much closer though.
I primarily use thinner Yarns, fingerling, sport or dk because it seems to produce a nicer drape, but it also depends on the project & whether I’m knitting or crocheting (definitely lean thinner for crocheted items)
I like to use the fingerling, sport and dk silk and wool yarns too. I enjoy crocheting shawls. I just need to sew the pockets on Sue Ellen shawl, this shawl I used worsted and it turned out beautiful.
Happy knitting/crocheting!!!
Worsted, by far.
I’ve mainly used Worsted weight because I love making blankets and throws but want to try DK to start making shawls 🙂
I’m falling right in line with Joanne. Most worsted weight but I want to start making some projects using finer weights as well.
I’m using DK to make mosaic crochet afghan. The EFA colors in DK are beautiful for mosaic!
I use worsted weight the most.
I use DK and worsted weight yarn the most
Usually sport or dk – thin enough to be light and fun to work with, but still heavy enough to have that little bit of squish.
I mostly use fingering weight. I live in the desert and find fingering most versatile. I would so love to win this and share with my knit/ crochet group .
I knit or crochet with mainly worsted or dk weights.
All are my favorite, but I’m really loving working with sport weight.
I use a good bit of sport and DK, but I definitely use fingering weight most often. It makes up the majority of my stash, so I guess I’m just drawn to it
Weight depends on the item I am making. Blankets, hats and scarves get worsted or dk- socks and shawls get fingering (or sock).
At the moment my favorite weight yarn is fingering weight yarns.
I don’t have a favorite weight. I treat and love them all equally. Although, my stash it is mostly fingering with a mixture of everything else, except the chunky stuff.
Fingering weight yarn is my favourite for socks and shawls which is what I knit the most. Sweaters will be knit with DK yarn.
What an incredible giveaway! Lately, I’m loving fingering and lace weight for shawls and wraps. The moongleam has such a beautiful glow. Haven’t tried the yak silk, but sounds luscious!
OMG I love these colors! The weight I used depends on what I’m working on. I use a lot of worsted for amigurumi projects, but DK when I make shawls and wraps. I just love the way it drapes!
i use fingering weight usually
I work with fingering weight yarn most often!
I would love to win these beauties!
Hii my favorite yarn to currently use is fingering weight yarn
I mostly use worsted weight but I’ve been getting into fingering
I enjoy using worsted
It depends on the project I’m doing. I like a bulky weight yarn for blankets and a fingering or DK weight yarn for shawls. This months yarn giveaway is stunning. Thank you and good luck to everyone!
Lately I’ve been using fingering weight yarn, but I love it all!
I love all yarn. I love trying all the different weights. I wish I could say I had a favourite but I don’t. I enjoy working in all sizes because they each bring their own challenges and beauty.
I’m not entirely sure about yarn weights, i haven’t mastered that yet, but i really like chunky, bulky yarn. But most of my projects do consist of thinner yarns, just because of what i’m making, chunky yarn isn’t the best for the projects i am making.
im new to all this so not sure what weight means honestly but am loving learning through your videos and cant wait to create!
I use fingering and sport most often, as I crochet a lot of shawls. But, I have an obsession with all yarn weights and types. Only my budget doesn’t allow for the collection I wish to have lol.
I’ve been using fingering weight the most this year, but I love a squishy DK just as much!
I usually lean towards using sport or dk weight yarn so my projects will come together fairly quickly but aren’t too heavy too wear in the summer time.
Since I have arthritis. I use all weights of yarn. I find it helps the tension in my hands by using the different thicknesses and needles (as recommended by the therapist. )
So it’s wonderful you have them all !! I’ve used your fingering. Worsted. And now using sport. So lovely
I use worsted the most until I found your yarns- so I have been using fingering weight for shawls and wraps a lot this last year.
Lately, I seem to be gravitating mainly towards fingering weight yarn.
Fingering all the way!
When I started I used worsted weight most of the time just because I was impatient and wanted to finish the projects faster! Now I’ve started working with fingering and lace weights and I’m paying more attention to just enjoying working with the fibers. Lighter weights tend to give more yardage, so there’s more time to appreciate the fiber. I love working with the high quality materials that EFA offers!
I used mostly cotton yarn and knitted dish cloths and had not crocketed for years. I had to have knee surgery and have been sitting a lot and renewed my needlework interest. You and your sight have inspired me to work on bigger projects and start branching out with yarns. I just finished the Sue Ellen for my sister for Christmas. Thank you for the inspiration.
I mainly use worsted or fingering.
Definitely DK, though should probably switch to Worsted as it takes me a very long time to finish projects:)
I love a good DK or light worsted. I’ve recently started dabbling in lace and I find it absolutely gorgeous!
What beautiful yarn! I like using fingering weight yarn.
I use worsted the most often so far, but I’m moving into more fingering and lace weight
Hi Chandi! I usually use worsted weight or DK.
I mostly use fingering/sport weights. As usual, another to-die-for giveaway!! Thanks for all you do Chandi!!!!
I normally use worsted weight for my projects or sometimes heavier yarns depending on what toys my grandson wants me to make.
I mostly use fingering, I just love the drape & how many items you can creat
Hi, I mostly use dk or fingerling, with bouts of projects using worsted weight. But since I love fair isle knitting fingerling gets the nod for most frequently used from my stash
I’d rather use dk weight, but lately have been using fingering weight more due to the type of projects I have been making.
I use DK or smaller to crochet with, depending on the project
(Light) Fingering for summer projects, worsted for the winter 🙂
I use mostly DK yarn. But I use a lot of other weights, too.
I’ve mostly used fingering so far, but I’m still a relatively new knitter. I have a few projects planned with worsted and I’m looking forward to working with a thicker yarn here soon!
I prefer dk or worsted with my projects. Thank you Chandi andvteam!
What beautiful yarns! I love to work with gorgeous fiber… any weight.
I like DK and Worsted because my designs are more visible.
I make a lot of shawls and wraps so I mainly use fingering and dk. I also use worsted and chunky(5) for hats, bags and blankets.
I knit with mostly fingering and lace weight yarns because I really like knitting lace patterns.
Fingering
I’d usually choose anything from lace weight to DK, although I’d use chunkier wool if it’s going to be felted. This yarn looks scrumptious and I’d love to win some of it!
I mostly used fingering or sport weight., but I love most is DK weight, because it is light for summer. But Your yarns always well come because they are so goegeous.
I’ve been using a lot of DK/sport weight recently. I’ve been making sweaters for my toddler to keep her warm in the fall/winter
I use mostly fingering and lace weight yarn, because I am a dedicated sock and shawl knitter. But there are some pullover and similar stuff on my knitting list for this year – worsted yarn would be welcome 😚
I like ALL type of yarns 😀 I cannot say that I use one weight in particular, it depends on the project I am working at, and of my stash. I am not particularly fond of lace yarn, because I find it difficult to work with, but I make an exception if I find a pattern that I like.
Hi Chandi, these Are absolutely gorgeous. Wont ve easy to choose.
I Always choose yarn that I really like in terms of colour, not weight, but if I Have to choose, then fingering.
I mostly use Worsted, but sometimes also smaller or bigger, I’m trying to learn to work with the smaller sizes of yarn. The Crochet items i’ve made with these are beautiful so now im wanting to switch over to knitting with fingering yarn, it will be a challenge.
I use fingering most of the time.
I most often knit with what we in England call Double Knit!!! But it does depend what I’m knitting at the time!
I think I switch quite often between fingering, DK and aran, my blankets are usually in aran or DK and they’re the projects that take me the longest or last for years.
I mostly use thicker yarns so my project is finished a lot faster, but I do like the drape of the thinner yarns and maybe I should learn to be a bit more patient!
I had mostly used dk until I discovered hand dyed yarn, so now I tend to use fingering weight a lot. For blankets I use aran weight.
I usually use a 3 weight. I like to make amigurumis.
Je participe Youpi
I truly enjoy knitting with Dk yarn. I’ve arthritis in my thumbs and Dk seems the best weight to hang on to without much effort. However I’m gaining an appreciation for finger weight as my sock making improves.
Good morning EFA family! These huge giveaways are always so fun and generous! I love fingering weight yarn. I know it makes a project take longer, but I feel like that’s okay because it’s what I want to be doing with my time!
I use fingering and dk the most. Fingering for light and airy projects like shawls and dk for hats and mittens and warm pullovers. And I also use fingering held double because fingering has the most variety of colors. And when held double fingering comes dk!
It’s about even my use of DK and Fingering weight yarn and occassionally aran/worsted if I find a pattern that takes my fancy.
I mostly use sport weight, but sometimes I use DK weight. I like to diversify using yarns. Depends on the crochet project I’d like to make.
Hello Chandy!
I have been using more fingering weight yarn.
Such pretty colours. I enjoy working with fingerling. I find anything thicker I don’t enjoy.
I absolutely love this. May the lord smile upon you.
Love the colors! Always love the colors!
I like DK or Worsted weight for larger items, generally (quicker). Lately I like a Fingering to DK for tops/sweaters…more knitting time, more color variation in hopes of using up stash (lots of fingering +DK…)
Mostly depends on my mood ! Then, narrow down what type of item, pattern, yarn …. which comes first??? I never really know, but that’s the FUN part…playing with yarn. Which brings me joy!
Good morning! I use worsted weight the most but would love to step out and try working with fingering weight, perhaps for a nice shawl. I love all your colors. Makes me dream of what I could make.
It depends on the time of the year. Summer fingering, lace weight, and more it gets closer to autumn, I go to DK, worsted up to chunky and super-chunky. But the most pleasant to knit with I think is from fingering up to DK.
I like all weights, but lately I’ve only worked on projects with chunky yarn for a blanket or super thin for doilies. Thank you for another beautiful and generous giveaway!!
Hiya, my favourite weight to knit with is fingering. I love making shawls and socks with it.
(Sorry posted in the wrong place first time)
My favorite is DK or a fingering/lace combo that works up like DK. I like to make sweaters but get bored quickly with smaller gauge sweaters!
I am currently knitting with lots of DK, after having done a few too many things in sock yarn, and ending up with sore hands
Normally try and do a variety
I love variety, chunky and worsted for blankets, winter head wraps, beanies and scarves. DK and Fingering for lighter wraps, baby blankets, etc.
I’m a crochet lover, can’t knit to save my life!
I use fingering for knitting socks and worsted for afghans most often.
Chandi, your colors are amazing. I love the way you show your colors with stunning comparisons to scenes or objects‼️
Enjoy a wonderful September!!
Diane in Connecticut

I use DK weight for Afghan and sweaters and fingering yarn for my socks most often.
These yarns are absolutely gorgeous! I use mainly fingering weight for everything. A sweater is on my to do list.
I use fingering weight and sport weight most of the time.
I use a lot of fingering weight. Shawls and socks are my go-to projects, although sweaters, hats, mittens, blankets all get made, too.
Worsted Weight, ’cause I’m usually knitting lapgahans for a church Bazaar.
Hello. I knit mostly with 3,5 mm and 4mm needles so it might be sport and worsted.
Last knittings have been even bigger thou =)
I have fingering and lace waiting but I haven’t got there yet..
Love from Finland =)
I usually use fingering yarn. Thank you for this lovely giveaway!!
I mostly use fingering weight but also DK. Thanks
Decisions. Decisions. I love fingering weight best. However, lace is so lovely and sport and dk help me finish a project a little faster. Dear Chandi all of your yarns are so beautiful how can a girl decide!
I tend to use more worsted weight but am gravitating toward DK and want to use more fingering. And just to think when I started to crochet again about 15 years ago, I was really into bulky and super bulky. I just love the possibilities we have and the endless opportunities to explore.
Love the beautiful saturated colors of your yarns!! I use DK and fingering weight quite often, but frankly use them all and don’t have a favorite 🤷🏻♀️
I use sport and fingering the most, but have many other types as well due to this site. Your marketing of yarns and patterns knocks it out of the park and always tempts me to want more.
Hi Chandi. I usually chrochet with fingering weight yarn.
My fave yarns are sport weight or fingering weight. I have preferred this size yarn for about 6 years now.
Thank you for a beautiful giveaway!
I use mostly fingering for socks, dk for garments and worsted for blankets and all the little animals I am currently making.
Just love your yarn
I like doing fine work and incorporating shots of color into my projects so I mostly work in sock and lace.
I’d love to see a group of textured/lace mini skeins in a colorway paired with a main sock (or whatever weight) yarn.
The yarn I use the most is fingering weight. Love making tops, shawls, scarves and socks with it.
I love gingering weight the most. It’s pretty versatile and can be as warm or as airy as you want, depending on your pattern or whim…
Of course I meant *fingering*
I use worsted the most, but I like the feel of fingering. Just need to get brave enough to actually try some socks.
I use DK. I love it for making hats and mittens for the cold Alberta winter.
Such gorgeous colors, inspiring for cozy winter mornings ahead (I am so not a fall girl!). Fingering weight is my go-to; it makes for easy on-the-go knitting, and looks divine and polished in a project.
Usually sport or dk, but like all yarn!
I knit mostly, but with some crochet and worsted or dk weight yarns. However, I would be happy with any yarn and would certainly use any weight I received. Thanks so much.
Hi, I am Annie and I love all weights of yarn, but mostly use Aran or worsted weight.
I mostly use fingering weight yarns, sometimes worsted weight for cowls/throws/shrugs.
i love these colors! i use a lot of DK, my current project is fingering.
Hi Chandi, I love to knit and crochet with fingering weight yarn. I’ve made beautiful shawls and very special socks ;-).
I use DK and worsted most often
Hi,
Although I use all types of yarn, my favorite type is fingering weight. I find it the most versatile.
I love all yarn weights, it depends on the project.
I use a lot of DK and fingering for my charity projects.
This yarn giveaway is amazingly gorgeous!!!
Thank you Chandi and team ❣️
I use a lot of sock yarn. Second to that is worsted.
I always LOVE the colors!
I love fingering weight. It’s so versatile and can be doubled or more to make just about any other weight.
I have entered and shared. I’ve done a couple of projects recently with fingering weight yarn, never again! They are too fiddly and take too long, I’m a worsted/double knit or even Aran weight kinda girl. I’m not keen on bulky because it lacks definition. But I like everything else.
Beautiful colors, Chandi! I use fingering yarn most often as I have made many shawls. But have also used worsted weight and bulky for other projects.
i like worsted for afghans and DK for garments
When I was younger and first starting on my knitting journey, I used mainly worsted weight yarns. As I’ve matured, I really appreciate the feel of dk and fingering weight yarns and I find them easier to work with as well.
I use fingering the most, love to knit shawls in all shapes.
I tend to use dk or worsted weight yarns
I mostly use lace or fingering weight. These yarns look so yummy.. drool …
I really like using worsted weight yarn the most.
When knitting, I use fingering. I mostly only knit socks. For crochet, though, I typically use worsted and sport since I make a lot of amigurumi.
I use fun fur to add to my crochet items. Right now I’m using worsted weight. I have used 3 ply and fingering yarn on other items recently.
I don’t have a favourite yarn weight really – what can be accomplished with lace weight can’t be done with worsted and vice versa.
Worsted for dolls, DK for blankets, and fingering for shawls and wraps.
Hi Chandi,
I mostly use DK or fingering weight. Although lately I have been knitting lace patterns with lace weight silk or fingering weight. Love how the patterns ‘open up’ after blocking! Your many video tutorials guide me so well. Thanks for this great contest!
Kind Regards,
Alice from S. Surrey in BC, Canada
I use fingering the most, but I’ve been using more worsted lately for gift and charity hats.
I crochet with worsted and DK a lot, but I also really like using fingering weight. I am relatively new to crochet but I have managed in the last year to create projects I am really proud of, and now I am finding I can more adventurous with not only patterns but also my yarn choices. I am absolutely in love with your yarns!
I am a new beginner at crocheting. I have used worsted weight yarn so far. I hope to try out the fingering weight for some shawls I want to make.
I mostly use fingering weight yarn and LOVE EFA yarn the most!
I’ve used may of your yarns, Chandi, but I am working with your luster sport weight yarn right now and absolutely love the look, the feel, and the drape of it!! Thank you!!
Hi Chandi,
I mostly use fingering or dk lately. Your yarn is beautiful! I enjoy working with it!
I MOSTLY USE lace and fingering weight
I love working with 4ply or 4ply held with a lace weight mohair/silk💜🐨
Wow so generous and such beautiful colours i usually knit with fingering and DK love all weights of yarn 🧶
It depends on what I am making. I used to only use worsted, but fell in love with the fingering weight when I made a shawl. I just feel rich when I have a stash of beautiful yarn!
Your words are so sweet and just brighten my day . I daily look forward to your message in my inb.
I typically knit with fingering or dk, it’s easier on my hands.
I mostly use between DK and Worsted
I use worsted weight most often. I have a hooded stripe baby sweater pattern that uses worsted acrylic. I have Knit at least ten of them each year since 1977! For myself I use fingering and DK weight.
Fingering weight mostly, followed by Worsted weight are my favorites.
I usually use worsted yarn as it is easier for me to crochet with.
I usually use a medium 4 weight but a fingering weight makes some beautiful shawls.
I mostly use worsted weight because I like the weight in my hands. It’s a texture thing. Lol.
What a lovely collection of colors! My favorite weight is DK. It is so versatile. If I need a thicker yarn, I can double it up. The weight of a single strand is friendlier to my arthritic hands too.
Knit with worsted weight most of the time, but lately trying my hand at felting slippers for my family so knitting with wool. Thank you
I love to use fingering and lace weight most often. I can use this for hand knitting or crochet or on my knitting machine. I have very few projects in thicker weights.
My projects are pretty diverse as far as yarn weight. I do enjoy dk and sport weight.
I can always use a fingering yarn because I love knitting socks, shawls, and blankets. And if for some reason I don’t feel like knitting I can crochet a granny square or granny stripe!
I’m all over the place! I’m loving DK weight lately for hats
Once again, stunning colors!
I also have troubles with my hands/fingers, so I have been using bulky weight lately.
I make a lot of hats for charity with worsted weight. But when I make gifts I love the finer weights.
I used to use worsted a lot, but now I’ve moved to fingering weight. Still like the worsted or dk though.
I typically use dk for baby items or I’ll double fingering. I use bulky for beanies or whatever weight required for the beautiful projects Chandi posts. At this point I’ve tried them all!
I usually use worsted or chunky unless I’m making socks. I’ve recently discovered the joys of DK – even got some DK sock yarn recently. Can’t wait to see how that works up.
Depends on the season. I use mostly fingering to worsted. The big needles for bulky yarn bother my hands.
I use mostly worsted and now fingering as I have started knitting socks.
Fingering weight is my favorite!
Hi, Fingering weight is my favorite yarn as I knit a ton of shawls and socks. Thanks for the chance at these pretty yarns.
I use a lot of different weights, probably wind up using worsted weight most often though.
Mostly fingering weight, actually, and also sport, dk, worsted. I rarely use aran or bulky and then mostly for winter hats :o)
I absolutely LOVE fingering weight yarn!!! Shawls, socks, and cowls are my favorite things to knit. This is a gorgeous giveaway and I appreciate a chance to win.
I mostly use fingering
I primarily crochet with fingering weight yarn.
Mostly worsted weight for sweaters. Bulky for blankets. I haven’t ordered your yarn yet but it looks beautiful!
I just love to knit! Having something, or multiple‘somethings’, on my needles is therapy to me. As I have become more experienced, I lean more toward the fingering weight yarns, maybe because the options are so varied and more readily available. I do, however, love the look of the knitted fabric made with lighter weight yarns. One can never have enough beautiful yarn, in my humble opinion;)
I tend to use worsted weight most often, except for those special gifts where a finer yarn is needed. My favorite things to knit are baby and toddler sweaters (they’r’e so cute!) and shawls and wraps. If I’m crocheting, its usually an afghan in the works.
I tend to like to use sport or dk weight most often because it can be used to make faster socks that are nice and squishy for lounging around the house.
I like dk or fingering, I like the dainty feel of the yarn and finished projects (:
I use DK, sports and worsted weight the most but also like to experiment with different yarns than the patterns suggest and try to convert the stichcount to fit to the yarn. It can be painful sometimes… 🙂
Thank you for the awsome giveaways!
I really don’t have a favorite weight of yarn. I go by what projects I want to make, but I use fingering, dk, sport and worsted the most.
What lovely colours 🥰
I prefer fingering for most of my projects.
Hello there! I use mostly worsted weight, but I also love your beautiful fingering weight for making shawls!
Fingering weight is my favorite. The fabric it creates just flows and drapes beautifully in wraps or sweaters.
Its really hard to pick because its all really beautiful yarn, but maybe fingering is the weight i use most.
I use many different weights of yarn from lace to bulky for everything from lacy crochet and knit shawls to hats and scarves
Hi Chandi
Beautiful giveaway! I’m new to knitting after many years of crocheting. At the moment I am trying all yarns to see how they make up items that I used to crochet.
My favourite items are shawls and Afghans.
I definitely use a mix of weights, Aran/Worsted but as my knitting improves and skills expand I have run across gorgeous sweaters, shawls & ponchos that call for DK or Sport so I am happy to KNIT ALL THE THINGS with ALL THE YARNS 🙂
Thank you for your generosity and sharing your Art.
Fingering weight yarn is my most often used choice of yarn. Love those colors in this month’s giveaway!
Because of your beautiful yarn, I use all types of weight. I can’t resist the colors you dye and the inspirational photos that accompany them.
I prefer worsted weight it works up quicker. But this year I have been using a lot of fingering weight for light weight garments.
I have typically worked mostly with worsted weight yarn, but I’ve recently been buying some more fingerling weight yarn, do I’m looking forward to doing more with the lighter weight yarn.
I’ve been using fingering weight the most for my projects lately. Right now I’m using your ephemeral fingering on your Balance Point pattern. I love the softness and sheen of it!
How can you choose just one?!? I’m really enjoying the cashsilk sock yarn that I’m currently using.
You’ve done it again Chandi! Another amazing collection of colors that will work so well together and all of them colors that I truly like. Every month I have my fingers crossed that I will be the lucky winner! Perhaps this is my month, I will have to wait and see. Keep up the great work on dyeing and all those amazing colors and fibers.
Love knitting with DK and sport weight!
I use all the yarns, but I would say that fingering weight is my favorite. DK seems to be 2nd for me. Lately though I’ve been playing around more with worsteds.
I mostly use worsted weight yarns… However; I have begun to enjoy using a DK weight yarn for it’s lightness in the finished project.
Double knitting usually although I do like to try other weights.
I’m still quite new to the world of crochet ( Started in July and I’ve so far just made 2 garments), and have mostly been using chunky yarn – but I’ve just tried my first pattern (the Lily shawl) in DK and I’m in love! 😀 So I think I will enjoy trying out finer yarns this autumn/winter!
I don’t think I really have a preference, I think it just depends on what I’m working on. I have to admit lately the projects I’m interested in, are calling for fingering weight yarn 😁.
I tend to user more Aran or worsted weight
I use worsted or DK most often but I love a good sock or fingering for lightweight scarves, shawls, or even hats.
Fingering for socks, but I’m open to use whatever a pattern calls for. I do stay away from bulky however.
It really depends! I have a lot of fingering for socks and shawls but I am really starting to expand into other weights and I love the variety.
I use fingering weight most! I like how fine the stitches look when a project is done, and most of the patterns I seem to be finding that I like are in it.
I love to work with sock weight.
I’ve been using mostly fingering weight as of late.
I mostly use fingering or DK weight because I just live in Texas and I don’t need a very thick yarn.
I typically stay clear of really bulky yarn, but I adore fingering, DK, and worsted. I make alit if sweaters these days!
I find I use fingering weight yarn the most ♥
Mostly fingering.
I use fingering the most.
I used fingering and DK yarn the most!
I’m very fond of worsted, for all the reasons people have previously mentioned. For me, worsted is easier to hold (arthritis) and to see stitches (old age!). Your yarn is gorgeous!
I have been using fingering weight the most lately, some sport weight and worsted in the past. All of your yarn I have used is beautiful!! I love the colors in the September giveaway! Thanks Chandi for your tutorials – they are very helpful and I have used them alot.
I use mostly worsted, sport, or DK, depending on what I’m working on!
Good day! These yarns are so beautiful! I have been following you for a few years and finally made an order! I am patiently waiting for it to arrive in the mail! Cannot wait to start knitting!
The most used weight for me would be worsted. It knits up fairly quick and is fine enough to make beautiful fabric!
I use fingering weight almost exclusively. But recently I started making dog blankets for shelters, and for the first time I’m using bulky weight. It’s fun to go from my detailed fingering weight shawls to the dog blankets that whip up so quickly, but gifts for my human friends will always use fingering weight. 🙂
I use fingering the most, followed by worsted.
Favourite yarn is the one’s without wool, it may sound crazy but some of us are allergic to wool. Thank goodness we have other natural fibres which allows us to play with yarn too!
I usually use sport or worsted for most of my projects, unless I have a special request
Fingering weight yarn is my main jam. I love making socks, shawls and hats with it!
I use a wide variety, from lace to super bulky. All depends on what I am making
I use fingering weight the most, it’s my favorite!
Fingering weight is what I use the most 🙂
I like using DK weight the most. I want to try fingering to see how it goes, but I am afraid it will take me forever to crochet something. It looks like for clothing articles the thinner weights look better (not too bulky).
Beautiful colors! I usually use worsted or bulky weight yarn.
I mostly work with fingering weight yarn so I can make garments that are wearable in the south (and with hot flashes!). It’s ponderous work, but so worth it in the end. EFA yarn has been the most amazing to see finished.
I use fingering the most to make shawls. But I’m starting to buy more sport and DK to make sweaters. I would love to see more sweater patterns.
I mostly use DK or Worsted weight but have been wanting to try fingering weight for a long time.
I seem to take turns, like a few months mainly fingering, in summer a lot of lace weight and as it gets cooler out, I move on to the heavier weights, but if a specific yarn or design calls to me, I will go for it regardless ☺️
Most of my knitting is done with fingering weight yarn – socks, shawls, baby hats for donation. Mind you, I just finished a gorgeous – if I may say so myself – sweater for my amazing son-in-law for Christmas and I did it with aran weight. Oh, and DK weight for trigger mitts used by the local woodsmen and fishermen. Huh, I guess I use a lot of yarn. Quelle surprise…lol
I mostly use worsted weight. But I’m learning to use sport weight. I’ve ordered some Buttery Sport weight from Expression Fiber recently and can’t wait to give it a try!
Such beautiful yarn and so generous of you Chandi, thank you. I usually work with DK weight. If I were to win this, it would be a wonderful 75th birthday gift to me. Good luck everyone!
I tend to crochet mostly with DK weight, but there’s so much beautiful yarn to work with that there’s a very large variety in my stash.
I use fingering weight most often but it depends on the project.
I think I use worsted most often. Good luck everyone!
I love working with fingering to sport weight yarns. I have been crocheting shawls and sweaters this past year.
Hello,
Fingering and DK are my favourites. I Live knittung so much.
I rotate between weights. (How else can I use all my needle sizes!!) Fingering and sport are my favorites.
I’ve just started using fingering in the past 5 years, but I love it for shawls and scarves. I’ve never made socks. When my children were younger, I only used acrylics for washability.
I used mostly fingering weight as I make a lot of shawls but have started making hats and cowls so using more worsted and DK now.
I love working with dk/sport weight yarns.
I use worsted the most! I have used all weights except lace.
Your yarn is amazing! At this point in my knitting, I am using mostly fingering weight because I have fallen in love with lace.
I make lots of socks, so sock yarn…fingering, DK for the most part.
I live in Florida, so I use thin yarns (fingering mostly). Will use a thicker yarn when knitting for Northern family or friends, but I have lots of that left over from my earlier days in Chicago and Washington DC.
Love the colors in this giveaway! I use and love to knit with fingering mostly.
I use them all, but favor fingering, sport or DK
I use fingering the most with lace being a close second. I just love the thinner yarns. Maybe because its so hot here or because I learned to crochet on doilies!
I’ve been getting into using dk and am venturing into sport. Your yarns are so beautiful Chandi.
I love to use DK so end up using it most often but I like the feel of fingering fabric so I am trying to use it more.
dk my beloved <3 it’s light and breathable while making a fluffy project
Hi Chandi,
I enjoy using fingering weight [or 4ply or sock yarn as we know it mostly here in Australia ] in most of my knitting projects.
I guess the fingering is what I am using most right now. I love all of them and have to make myself finish a project before starting another!
I mostly use dk and Aran weight.
All of your yarns are beautiful. I’ve been crocheting and knitting for 60+ years so I’ve used all weights of yarn but lately the dk weights seem to be my favorite.
I use mostly fingering yarns but enjoy using the heavy yarns, like worsted and dk, because they are squishier.
Hi, Good morning. I switch between worsted & finger/sport weights. Now that I’ve learned to knit I’ll be using more of the fingerings/sport weights. Have a great day!
Worsted weight and fingering weight..
My favorite yarn weight is worsted. I need to be able to see the stitches!
CHUNKY!!! Or worsted. I enjoy making blankets and kitchen things like washcloths, scrubbies, and pot holders
I use fingering weight in most of my projects – and not just for socks!
Such beautiful yarns! I use mostly worsted weight for blankets but I am starting to use more fingering weight for clothing items.
Gorgeous yarns, gorgeous colors!!! A great way to begin the cooler season!!
Since finding your Yarn I have used fingering, worsted and sport. I have made shawls using your patterns for shawls. I have a lot of stock left that I bought locally. The yarn is not as good as yours but I need to get through it and then stock up with yours alone, budget allowing!!!
everything but lace. i have worsted, dk and sock projects on the hook. bulky is my quick ” I dont have enough time!” so I rarely have an unfinished project in this one
I seem to be using sport/dk a lot right now!
Probably worsted, although I would like to make more with finer textured yarns.
It really depends. I probably HAVE the most fingering, since it’s a popular weight for indie dyers. But it really depends on the project I’m making. I just finished two dk cowls and have a fingering scarf and two worsted blankets on the needles (what was I thinking? at least one is a baby blanket).
I’ve been using fingering the most lately. It takes me forever to finish something too. Perhaps I should move up in size but I love the look.
I love to knit with fingering weight yarn as I live in a hot climate. The September yarn give away colors you’ve curated are absolutely gorgeous! ❤️ 🤞 🧶
I’ve been using mostl DK but I want to try some shawls or wraps in fingering. Love all the colors in the giveaway.
I use fingering most often.
It seems this past year, I’ve gravitated to dk weight knitting projects for afghans and baby sweaters.
The weight depends upon the project. I don’t have a favorite, I use and like them all.
I mainly use DK and aran, but use 4 ply/sock yarn a lot too!
This yarn looks scrumptious! I mostly used DK or worsted. Thank you for this opportunity to win all that lovely yarn!
I use fingering weight yarn the most because I’m completely addicted to making socks and shawls.
That’s a fabulously lovely yarn giveaway. I use mostly DK or worsted weight yarn but I’m not opposed to trying something new
I like working with sport and dk weights, or worsted weight for fast knitting projects!
I use…all weights! I spent a while working with nice chunky yarn (blankets go so much more quickly that way), then did several projects with worsted or DK. Lately I’m venturing into fingering and really enjoying it for scarves/shawls that are nice and lightweight but still cozy for September here in Michigan.
I use fingering weight the most. Unless I’m going through a hat phase; then it’s worsted.
I use mostly fingering weight yarn.
I think I mostly use dk weight but I’m venturing more into fingering and doubling up yarns for the effect.
I like to use all the yarn weights but lately it’s been sport and worsted the most.
I’m a weaver and really enjoy using fingering for many projects, but will use weights from lace to bulky, depending on the individual item.
OMG beautiful yarn, love all- never work with Yak so will be ice to try and make something with this yearn.
I love your yarns, they’re just so pretty! I love working with fingering weight yarn now that I live in Florida.
I use lace or fingering weights. Living in Georgia (US), I don’t have a need for much that’s heavier than that. Besides, I love to knit lace!
At the moment fingering or worsted.
Happy September All! Absolutely beautiful yarns this month Chandi, thank u for your kindness! I love working with dk, sport and fingering weights the most, as I just love flowly lacy garments. But in the times I wanna quick satisfaction of completing a project quickly anything above a 4 is wonderful 😍 Ohh don’t ya just love the gorgeousness of all the colors changing , getting wrapped in ur cozy’s as the weather cools oh heck yeah bring on the beauty that is autumn!
Good luck everyone ✌️ 💓 & 🧶
I have lots of fingering and sport in my stash.
Fingering is my main yarn as I knit socks, shawls, etc. What a beautiful collection for your next give-away!
I am pretty flexable on yarn weights.A 4 is easy to use but I also love thread.
Mostly worsted or DK for jumpers and cardigans, but I love fingerings for shawls
Fingering! Fingering! Fingering!
It’s like making little works of art.
Fingering weight seems to be what I use most of the time. I haven’t been knitting but just a few years and am still learning about all the varieties of weights and fiber contents. I keep promising myself I’m going to try a sport or heavier weight yarn but just haven’t gotten around to it.
I think my favorite weight is Worsted but recently all my friends have been wanting these fluffy animal hoods I make with bulky faux fur yarn so I’ve been going through A LOT of bulky recently.
Historically, I’ve used mostly worsted weight yarns but in the last year that’s been changing. For example I’m wearing a fingering weight sweater right now that I completed 2mo ago and finished blocking a DK weight sweater this morning. I’m opening my eyes, hands, and stash to all different weights and fibers lately!
I use worsted weight the most because of its versatility – though I enjoy chunky yarn the most and fingering makes the most beautiful crochet works.
Love the colors in this month’s giveaway! This fall I’m using bulky for winter hats, and worsted for a tee-shirt for layering.
I use mostly DK weight yarn. With our changing climate, I find it the most versatile.
I use all weights and like them all depending on the project I’m working on. Recently, though, I’ve been reaching for DK and worsted weights most often 🙂 sweaters and hats!
I use your sock yarn cuz it makes beautiful socks. I have bought so much I probably won’t ever get it all used up. Thank you for such beautiful yarn
Oh my goodness, Chandii! What a giveaway! I already have projects for each and everyone of these lucious treats!
Good Luck to all!
I used worsted weight yarn most often when shopping at the big craft stores. However, since discovering your amazing website, I habe been using more fingering weight.
Always worsted weight! I do a lot of amigurumi 🙂
I usually use DK or worsted but have recently started knitting socks so I anticipate I’ll be using more sock weight soon.
I tend to use the heavier weights (worsted/bulky) because I make hats and scarves and smaller items. I’m just now starting on my first shawl with one of your patterns – Dream Glow.
Mostly fingering or lace weight yarn.
hi Chandi
I love all yarn but at the moment I’m into sock/ fingering . cheers
I use fingering mostly. I’ll go as high as DK for everything except lapaghans.
I’d say I use 3 and 4 yarns most. I like to make little project (dragon egg dice) bags and what not.
My go-to is fingering 90% of the time. Will work a sweater in DK, though.
I primarily use fingering and worsted because my favorite projects are socks and sweaters.
I mostly use worsted 🙂
I have used all weights of yarn. I use DK most for warm weather items and worsted for cold weather. I love your colorful yarns!
As I am a new knitter I am open to any and all yarns. These are beautiful yarns and I would be happy to win any of them. But my goal is to knit a sweater or a pair of socks so if I had to choose i would say whichever yarn fits in either of those two categories.
I use worsted weight yarn most often, but I’ve started working with sport and fingering weights more lately.
I used to say I wouldn’t use anything smaller than DK because it takes too long and that shawls just weren’t my thing. However, since stumbling upon your site and all of the beautiful patterns and yarn, I have hardly used anything bigger than DK. Now I mostly use fingering/ sport/ sock and DK. Because you can’t really make a lightweight wrap shawl or top with heavier yarns.
I tend to enjoy working with DK and Worsted Weight yarns. I’ve worked with other weights and fibers, but always go back to the DK and Worsted.
I use all weights but my hands mostly enjoy DK and Aran
I found you on here and love your videos. Then I bought your kits. Fell in love with your yarn. I have tried other brands but they can not compare to yours!!
Chandi,
What a luscious treat! I love all the weights, fingering is my fav!
I am working on a Butterfly Hat in Luster Worsted. The Sue Ellen Shawl with pockets in a pearlescent worsted for a friend and a cardigan in a perslexscent fingering! I am spoiled for yarn now! I don’t like anything else! I especially love the pearlescent yarns!
The last year or so it’s been fingering, but other than that it’s always been DK.
I mostly crochet and knit in fingering yarn.
I have been using up a lot of worsted weight yarn by making hats for the homeless. After I finish a couple, I treat myself by knitting with fingering!
I use fingering weight most often. I knit socks and shawls more than anything else, but I’ve started making sweaters with different weights of yarn.
I use fingering a lot with my shawls, but worsted and DK for hats quite a bit.
I love knitting with fingering weight, and am challenged by laceweight (but I won’t give up trying!).
I knitted with mostly worsted for many years but recent projects have been fingering and DK. I really like the stitch definition and lightness of fingering.
Hi Chandi! I enjoy all of your yarns but most of all I love DK.
Thanks for all your wonderful posts
Love, Cuqui
Currently fingering and sport, some dk/worsted, I spin lace and chunky myself.
Thank you for offering this beautiful giveaway, your yarns and colour combinations are to die for!😍
I don’t mind working with all sizes of yarn, anywhere from sewing thread to bulky. Lately I’ve been using #4 weight yarns for a sweet blanket.
I seem to go in cycles… Fingering/sport right now, but being drawn to Dk/worsted. 😊
I use mostly fingering. As I get older in the Deep South, I find it harder to even handle heavier weight yarns much less wear them! I love all your yarns though.
I am still a new knitter and so far have used worsted and fingering weight. Thank you so much for all your contests, free patterns, YouTube videos, and your beautiful and encouraging words. 💕. Good luck everyone! 😊
I love working with fingering and sport yarn. The colors in this giveaway are beautiful.
Thank you
I am a crocheter; so I mostly use DK weight when using hand dyed yarns. If I use commercially made yarns I use worsted weight.
Definitely fingering
I love all weights! I can’t say I have on ei use the most. It just all depends on the project. Currently on a sock making kick 🥰
OK my turn to win – LOL. I love fingering wt and square needles which I have started using. Both the metal and wood ones work great. Jan
I mostly use Worsted or Bulky yarns, however i’m starting to use more Dk and Sock Yarns in my projects.
I love to make shawls and use either lace weight or finger weight, but also make hats and use various other weights. What a wonderful giveaway!
I use a variety of weight yarns … I usually have several projects going at one time, because, obsessed with yarn!! The only weight I haven’t used so far is lace weight.
I mostly knit fingering or sock weight without knitting socks! But every so often knit a big fast warm item in chunky like huge blanket it cowls in alpaca.
I knit and crochet with all different weights but think my favorite is fingering. I love how delicate it works up.
I like them all but I’ve been mostly working on socks lately, so fingering. 🙂
I usuallywork with worsted/dk and sock weight yarns. I can never have just one project going at a time!
My favorite yarn of yours???? ALL OF IT!!!!! I just finished Darcy and have to block yet!!!! Love you Chandi!!
I love the DK and worsted weights, but have used and enjoyed all weights for knitting!
I used to use a lot of worsted and bulky weight when I was still learning since it works up quick. Now I find myself preferring fingering over the thicker weights but, I just love yarn so I still enjoy working with all the different weights. ☺️
I use fingering weight most often. Love the colours!
Those are my colors, just beautiful! I use to work with worsted the most. I am learning to knit with lighter weight yarns………..just need to keep practicing, to stay on gauge and keep even stitches. I am or was a loose knitter.
I crochet with worsted yarn to make afghans and use DK for amigirumi and Sport for shawls ….. and … Musk Ox Qiviut for winter scarves!
I like to mix them up depending on my project but recently have been doing chunky ones for the winter. For summer I use cottons and wools that are thinner. Thank you for this giveaway Chandi!
THANK YOU thank you for curating such a GORGEOUS giveaway. I love all yarn, all sizes. I probably gravitate toward DK and worsted for the ease on my hands when knitting or crocheting, but I also love fingering weight, projects are so light and drape so beautifully. Occasionally I’ll use a chunky yarn for a super-quick-to-finish project. Best of luck to everyone. Thank you again Chandi!
I use fingering weight most of the time. I knit lots of shawls.
I like both worested and jumbo weight for my knitting.
I mostly knit with fingering and dk weight yarn.
I use mostly fingering weight in wool blends. Sport or worsted in alpaca. Worsted when doing acrylics. I’m not a fan of bulky weight, but will use it on occasion. Thanks Chandi!!
I use mostly worsted weight yarn for my projects.
I definitely like to mix up what yarn weights I use, but lately I’ve been favoring fingering weight!
I started using fingering weight for a few projects and now I am spoiled. Worsted weight and sometimes even DK seem too heavy or thick for my projects. Love all of your yarns and colors…hard to choose.
I’ve used DK or worsted for the most part, but I hope to give the finer weights a try soon. I also just finished a baby blanket using a #5 bulky, which was a new experience.
I usually knit with fingering weight, sometimes held double for thicker yarn. Generally a 75% wool, 25% nylon blend, although it varies.
I mostly use DK or Worsted. I find the fine yarns difficult to manage
I so love a good fingering weight! I can’t knit socks fast enough!
I mostly use fingering/sock yarn, but sometimes lace weight too. I love the fact that this month’s giveaway has Yak/ silk yarn! That is my very favorite of all your yarns, and it’s just decadent! I wish I could afford to make shawls for my sisters with this Yam. Thanks for your generosity, Chandi. Love your videos.
I most often knit with Fingering weight because it’s easy on my hands. But, I prefer wearables that are knit with DK weight because I like the warmth of it.
I live in the desert Southwest so my favorite choice of yarn weight is DK (3) or lighter… if I use heavier yarn, the item will have to be sent to family who live back in the east!!
Depends on the project but mostly worsted 🙂
Thank you for this lovely giveaway offering! I usually use fingering weight because I like the resulting fabric. When I want something more textured or heavier, I bump up to DK.
Such a lovely giveaway! I use fingering or worsted most often, but with winter coming up I will be using a lot more worsted and bulky weights for winter-y items.
These are gorgeous and give me the shivers!
I’m mostly a fingering weight kind of knitter.
I love worsted for how quickly it knits up! I might try my hand at lace work soon, though!
I like to work with Sport or DK weight the most – needle sizes 5 – 7. But have used a wider variety over the years. My least favorite is ‘chunky’ Even though it works up more quickly I find that the needle sizes are not comfortable. I love the different types of yarn materials these days that didn’t exist when I first started crocheting and knitting. It has allowed the color choices to explode as well.
I mostly use fingering weight yarns
Always love seeing your emails with pictures of your beautiful yarn! I think my favourite weight to work with is aran weight.
…thank you for your generosity, Chandi! I like worsted and 5-6 weight for quick projects, but for special gifts, i prefer DK weight…my fave fiber is Quiviut, though…soooo soft and squishy! Blessings!
i prefer fingering weight as held double or triple not only do i get more yarn size opportunities but i also get more color opportunities by holding multiple strands together.
I most frequently use fingering weight right now, but I cycle through my preferred wait with the seasons. Once summer is over my fall weight is usually sport/DK.
Thank you for your generous giveaways. My favorite weight is fingering (or whatever I happen to be knitting with currently!)
I mostly use fingering weight but have started a few DK weight projects recently!
I make a huge variety of things! Worsted is probably my most-used weight. These yarns are so beautiful!!!
Hi Chandi! Thanks for another giveaway 🙂
Currently I use fingering most often, it’s so versatile and you can hold it double or triple as needed!
Normally DK but would love to use your amazing yarns they so beautiful and silky
I mostly use DK yarn, but it depends on the pattern I have picked out. I am also learning how to spin my own yarn, so I have a lot of thick “bumpy Yarn” to use. I am busy making warm hats for the local warm clothes drive.
Worsted or sport here.
Love these colors. Used to work mostly with fingering weight, now love DK yarns because they make a faster completion. Worsted is great for large projects, but the hand feel is not as smooth to me.
Fingering and DK. I LOVE making shawls!
I use 4 weight (worsted) the most often.
I usually work with worsted weight yarn, but i’m looking for an excuse to branch out more often!
Mostly I use fingering weight though I’m starting to knit with some sport and DK.
I mostly use fingering weight and make shawls or scarves. Thanks for doing these giveaways.
I probably have mostly used worsted in the past but recently have been trying out dk and fingering-weight yarns
I always end up with more fingering weight than I planned but I think DK is my favorite weight to work with.
Love these colors! I love using the fingering and sport weights right now, for lightweight shawls, cardigans and blankets. They just flow through my fingers so smoothly!
My favorite weight is fingering.
I always love the pictures of your giveaways; the yarns look so scrumptious! My fave yarn weight lately has been bulky/chunky–chunky blankets, chunky home decor projects, chunky hats, and even a few amigurumi (about to do some pumpkins)! My queue on Ravelry is filled with lots of fingering weight projects, so that will be my most used weight very soon, but I love the quick results of a chunky yarn!
I use DK weight the most, followed by worsted weight. But I love all weights except ginormous (the stuff that’s three stitches to the FOOT). 😂
I prefer to use worsted or bulky weight because the whole process goes at a more interesting pace, but I end up using fingering/sock weight because I get more bang per hank/skein and because my local weather is way too hot 9+ months out of the year for anything thicker.
Hi Chandi, you always have such a beautiful selection of fabulous yarn. My go to is usually alpaca DK.
I use worsted, fingering, and sporting most, in that order 🙂
Depends on the project, but of late, I’m drawn to projects that use fingering. I’ve found that the extra time it takes to make a garment with thinner yarns is worth it.
Worsted is what I use most of the time, however I enjoy using just about anything. I am a self-taught knitter and a long time crocheter. Thank you for the chance to win such beautiful yarn. I see a sweater in my future.
My favorite things to knit are socks, so finger weight is my favorite. I also love making scarves and cowls, so I usually use a worsted weigh yarn. It doesn’t really matter, I just love having something I can make things out of. Most of my projects go to others so anything is a great gift.
Mostly worsted and DK.
I mostly use DK and fingering weight yarn
I like fingering because I can do everything with it. I am also a Texas girl who always runs hot so I like how I can wear my knits without overheating.
Your yarn is so yummy! DK or fingering are my go to
Tough question! I think fingering is my favorite to work with and look at, but it depends on what I’m making.
The worsted weight is my favorite. It works up quickly.
Worsted is my go to, but all yarn is welcome 😍
I’m a fingering weight girl. If I diverge from fingering weight, then I usually end up with lace weight.
Mostly worsted. Presently working on blanket to donate to local hospital’s palliative care floor to give to its patients, to brighten up and add warmth to their bed/room.
Fingering weight
I have been using Fingering Yarns lately. Love making shawls and decorative scarfs.
Hello from Canada, what a great win this would be. I use DK, fingering and sock always
I mostly use worsted, but fingering is a close second! There’s a true difference in working with good quality yarn!
Recently I’ve been using a lot of worsted, but before that I was on a fingering kick… I’m not sure I’ve got a most often used.
Fingering is my favorite! I love the delicacy of it.
I use worsted weight yarn the most, but have been trying thinner yarns lately.
I will knit with bulky, worsted, and DK yarns, but I love my shawl projects the most which use fingering weight! These are some beautiful colors this month.
Buongiorno, mi piace usare filato fingering per scialli e magliette estive
E sport per maglioni invernali e cappelli
Fingering weight is definitely my favorite!
I mostly use fingering weight.
I use the fingerling weight of yarn and my favorite is the Oasis Fingerling.
I use mostly DK or fingering weight yarn for most of my projects.
I go back and forth with the yarn I use. I use the fingering weights for most projects, but sometimes I want a project to come together a bit faster so I will use DK or worsted. I am using the pearlescent worsted for the Hearthside Mystery CAL, I love how gorgeous it is to work with, so soft!
I love all your yarns, they are so beautifull! Best wishes from The Netherlands
I have fallen in love with fingering yarn lately because I’m now a shawlaholic. 🤭
I use fingering weight the most, but I’m so drawn to bulky yarns
I’m using fingering/sock these days. Just started Undulation and I’m super excited to see how it turns out!
Oh my – these are my FAVORITE colors!! I enjoy working with fingering weight yarn the most as I wear neckwear instead of jewelry and it’s light-weight enough to enjoy year round.
DK is my favorite weight to knit with, and worsted is my favorite to crochet with!
I mostly use fingering, but use bulky when I want something super quick.
Hi there! I knit with fingering the most, and make way too many pretty shawls. Thanks for the great giveaway!
It depends of mood and what I knit or crochet. In fact I love all kinds of yarn 🥰🥰🥰
I will be honest, I’m new to knitting… thus, I haven’t been knitting long enough to know which weight I prefer… but of all the things that I dream about knitting, they are all in DK-ish weight. 🙂
Worsted for stuffies and baby blankets. Fingering and DK for just about everything else.
Be still my heart! Those colors!!! I find lately I am knitting more sweaters and I use sport or DK weight for those. Not too heavy but substantial enough to last through multiple wearings! Thank you Chandi!
I honestly love all weights. Picking one would be like trying to pick only one of your bases or only one colour out of all of your inventory. I use your lace weight, lots of fingering weight, dk and sport, your worsted is devine! I don’t often work with bulky. But I guess right now I’m using a lot of worsted for Christmas presents! Thanks for all you do Chandi! Love you! ❤️❤️❤️
I’m a fairly new knitter and still learning the differences between fingering, dk, etc. Right now I’m knitting the Find your Path shawl with your Silk coastal hues yarn and absolutely love it.
I mostly use sock/fingering and worsted weight. I love the drape of the lighter weight but love the quickness and cuddly-ness of the worsted weight!
I use various weights as it depends on the project I am woring on. Don’t have any favourite weight for that reason.
I just received my first order from you and I’m stoked to begin my next project! I use mainly sport and fingering weight but also sometimes DK. Thank you for doing the giveaways!
Recently I am using a lot of DK weight yarn, but typically I use worsted weight yarns.
I mostly use worsted weight, or chunky, or 2 worsteds to make a chunky!
I typically gind myself using 4 & 5 weight yarns, but have recently used some dk 3 for a lightweight sweater & like it. Looking forward to trying more designs using the lighter yarns.
I like using fingering (sock) weight yarn because the colors are so great. I can also enjoy the knitting more since it takes longer to complete. Thank you for the giveaway!
I mostly use worsted weight, but I use all sizes depending on the project.
I use fingering and DK weight yarns most. I don’t know which of these two I use more than the other. I think I use them equally as often.
Fingering weight is my jam!
Oh my goodness, these are absolutely gorgeous colors as always. I love everything you all create and I love working with all different weights and textures of yarn. Thank you so much for all that you, Tim and your staff do. You are creative geniuses. Thank you for offering these freebies every month too!
I mostly use dk and worsted weight but recently have started using fingering and sport weight.
I like fingering weight the most, and it is what is called for in most of the patterns I use. I have recently ventured into EFA’s sport weights, but haven’t used anything heavier in a very long time.
I use fingering weight yarn most but also regularly use worsted for hats and mittens.
I tend to purchase the yarn and then find something to make with it. I have gotten worse in my old age and your yarn is so beautiful it makes it very hard to decide on weight so if I like it ill buy it. Sometimes I order the yarn and then when it comes I can’t remember what pattern it was for. Oh well if I should win one of your giveaways I don’t think I would have a problem finding a pattern, trust me.
Favorite yarn weight has to be fingering or DK. I love the finished fabrics, and all the lacy patterns and open designs that can be worked up with them. I love the stitch definition of worsted weight yarns, especially in cables, but fingering weight is where my heart is. 🙂
i love using fingering weight yarn. i can make a shawl, or a pair of socks, a cowl, and a hat from a single skein. with a few skeins i can make a sweater, or a baby blanket.
I prefer fingering/sock for just about everything.
I like to use DK or worsted weight yarns. BUT, if I really really like a pattern, and it doesn’t call for ALOT (as in a hat or gloves or socks) of knitting (or crocheting!) I will use fingering.
I use worsted weight most often (afghans). But now that I’m crocheting doll clothes, I use much lighter weight.
Mostly fingering and dk. I like fingering, sport and dk for shawls, scarves and dusters. Worsted and bulky for hats.
Thank you Chandi for another generous giveaway!
Good luck everyone!
I probably use worsted the most but just finished baby sweaters in fingering and dk.
I love to use fingering weight yarn most often for shawls and, of course, socks, but I have also just knitted my first sweater with DK weight, and I love how quickly it knits up!
I enjoy working with fingering and lace yarn. Wishing you a wonderful September; it is my birth month.
Looks like most of my projects are waiting for worsted weight yarn.
Chandigarh,
I love fingering weight! Your yarns deserve a lace-knitted project and these colors are gorgeous! I use worsted more for winter sweaters and often buy cheaper yarn or those on sale, due to my budget! Oh what I can make with this give-away! I have gorgeous patters from my Japanese crochet book
I mostly use lace weight but fingering is a close second
I typically use DK or heavier weights as I find (as a beginner) it is easier to make projects. I have used a silk fingering yarn to make a shawl, and well….9months in, and I am STILL working on it. LOL ALL of your yarns are absolutely beautiful!! <3
Love love love this colors !
Hi Chandi je suis débutante et je n’ai donc pas encore fais d’ouvrage sérieux avec vos laines aux couleurs magnifiques. mais bientôt peut-être , je dois d’abord m’entraîner. Thank you !
Definitely I use fingering weight the most… though I’m doing the year long KAL, and I love how fast things work up in worsted! 😀
I am so new to crochet that I don’t think I have tried all the weights yet. 😄 So far though, I do love fingerling. 🥰
I love DK the most but am also totally enamored with Fingering sock yarn. I love your selections! I have at least a dozen skeins of sock and DK from your store and need to get on projects for Christmas! Thanks for the giveaway!
I love this giveaway. I was just looking at a number of these yarns for a sweater. Yeah! I love working with fingering weight with some sport and DK. I seldom work with anything larger. I just like the look and drape of the finer yarns! Thanks Chandi for all the variety and lush colors! There are always choices for everyone!
I use a lot of worsted because I make a lot of afghans. I enjoy working with other weights, too, when a project requires it.
My most favorite yarn is fingering weight! It is so versatile. Thank you for doing this giveaway!
Sport and sock weight are my favorite go to yarns
cotton washcloths in worsted
while working a shawl in lace or fingering
then worsted hat or cowl
and fingering sock
rinse and repeat
(and when my hands hurt counted cross stitch)
Weight depends on the project. Currently using a worsted weight, but buy mostly fingering/sock weight
Lately I’ve been using mostly worsted weight, though as I get more into winter makes, I like to use bulky yarn.
Fingering weight is most common for me, followed by lace, then occasional DK or sport.
Cuando,
Beautiful yarns as always. I tend to knit with fingering weight yarns most often Gwith an exception being made for garments then DK is my go to.
I use mostly bulky and worsted. Started using using baby, sport and dk and enjoying those so now I need add those to my stash. I crochet and loom knit. Most of it all goes to charities, local organizations.
I really love to use DK yarn for tops. Nice weight and more yardage than worsted.
I crochet with worsted weight yarns
I love using DK or worsted weights best; I just like the feel of them.
I like DK, fingering yarn & worsted weight for afghans & blankets. Thank you Chandi for your giveaways!
Hi Chandi, Tim and team!!! I use mostly DK weight but I use worsted and sock too. 🥰
These are beautiful, just like you are Chandi and your husband. 🙂 I knit usually with fingerling. I’d like to try a heavier weight but I live in Southern Ca & it is too hot for sweaters.
I use a lot of worsted to knit hats and scarves for charity!
I use weight 3’s most often, some of them are light worsted weights and some of them are a heavier and/or thicker sport weight.
I love lace / fingering weight most of all … as I love creating those fine delicate pieces especially as gifts but do enjoy the DK / worsted yarns in natural fibres for those warmer pieces!
I prefer knitting with fingering, although sweater patterns are using sport weight now. I just prefer the drape of finer yarns
I prefer worsted weight yarn for most of my projects, but since I have been doing more shawls lately I’ve been using more fingering weight yarns. Thank you Chandi for another beautiful giveaway.
I find myself using sock weight yarn the most but am trying to explore more DK and Sport weight.
Hi i m a new knitter and crocheter im working mostly with worsted weight but am starting to branch out
I love knitting so any kind of yarn makes me happy! Thanks for this wonderful giveaway!
I love the colors. I hardly ever use regular yarn from the store now. I like the hand dyed and spun yarn.
Hello,
I most enjoy using worsted weight yarn. However, I’m trying lighter weight and am enjoying how easy it is to handle, smooth and easy on my hands. And….I’m getting used to having to knit many more stitches in the lighter weight to complete a project. Smile.
I’ve mostly used DK weight, but also use sport & fingering weights. Love these yarns 🙂
Right now moving into worsted weight – temps are starting to drop!
I mostly use worsted weight. Sometimes sport. It depends on the project.
I use worsted weight most of the time but would like to try fingering weight. The give a way yarn is beautiful!
I use fingering yarn most of time, but Chandi I do love your mirage sport and pearlescent worsted. I just finished the Vayda shawl in alpaca lace. Oh my I just love all yarns. Cannot help it!!!
Lately I’ve been enjoying working with lighter weight yarn, fingering/sport weight. This month’s give away is really appealing to me.
Fingering/sport weight yarn has been nice to work with lately (it’s hot here in Las Vegas). This month’s give away is really appealing to me.
I knit mostly with fingering weight yarn, lots of socks.
I like using all weights of yarn from bulky 5 down to 0 lace weight!
I go in phases but right now I mostly use DK or worsted weight yarns.
Fingering most often. Love lace weight too. But also like use other weights at times
Favourote weight yarn DK – love Dewy. But all your yarns are gorgeous – specially love the silk and merino mixes.
I used to knit in worsted weight a lot, but lately it has been fingering or DK weight. If I start knitting cold-weather things, though, I’ll probably go back to worsted 🙂
I work with fingering weight most often! Mostly socks, but I hope to knit some fingering weight garments soon too!
I like a combo of 3 or 4 weights and jumbo/chunky yarns! I really want to try a fingering or lace yarn though, and do some delicate work 🙂
Lovely yarns. My favorite weight of yarn is DK.
I mostly use worsted and bulky for winter wear but I do use dk or fingering for summer shawls.
Since I live in a very warm climate, I use fingering weight most often, with sport/ DK coming in second.
i’m using dk now that i’m having such difficulty with muscle control … still takes me forever to make a piece, but still hanging in there.
Hi, Chandi! I’m usually a worsted-weight girl. DK is nice too, and bulky can be fun for big projects! I love love love your silk blends – most yarn with any kind of animal fiber in it makes me I T C H within seconds, but your silk blends don’t bother my skin at all! It’s such a joy to look at beautiful yarn and know I can use it and wear it without any issues – too often all I can do with high-end yarn is look at it. 😕 Your yarn is one of the things in this world that brings me bliss out of all proportion to its size. 😊
I think I use fingering weight the most. When I first started crocheting, I used mostly worsted and dk, but I’ve gravitated towards thinner weights because the resulting fabric is less bulky.
Same! Although I’m a knitter. Started with bulky now I prefer dk/fingering weight. Soon I’ll try lace weight!
I love to crochet scarves/wraps in a fingering or sport weight. I have been wanting to try my hand at a jumper though for a change and some patterns ask for a DK. I love natural fibres, they are so great to work with and people are so happy when you gift them something handmade from a lovely soft yarn
I generally use a worsted weight, but enjoy using all different weights for different projects.
I have been working my way down to finer, more delicate yarns. My absolute favorite right now is a fingering weight in a yarn with some silk in it…yum!
I use mostly fingering — this month’s colors are gorgeous!!
Living in the South, I almost alway use fingering or DK.
I love all of your colors and bases. I normally use DK or fingering. I don’t care what the weight is if it’s your yarn, tbh! 😂
Use a lot of fingering but love working with worsted and dk because you see results so much faster.
I typically use DK and worsted/aran weight. DK for fancier yarns like I’d get from your shop and worsted acrylics for toys and blankets.
I LOVE fingering and lace because of their gorgeous finish and delicate in touch!
I mostly us worsted or DK weight. I’m still rather new and learning, so haven’t tackled thinner yarns yet. Thank you!
I have been using a lot of fingering and sport weight yarns lately, but I’m also enjoying working on the two versions of the Hearthside with worsted weight.
It’s a pretty evenly split between fingering, DK and worsted, though I’ve worked with a lot of fingering through bulky, and occasionally have played with lace and chunky weights. It does feel weird when I switch between wips of different thicknesses.
I tend to use thicker yarns, but I’ve been using all different weights because of Chandi’s gorgeous yarns and patterns!
I use chunky yarns the most in my projects.
I prefer DK weight for garments, and fingering for shawls.
I use mostly worsted weight, but I have been using other weights depending on the project I am on.
Worsted, but I have been expanding my horizons !!!!
I love all weights of yarn but I use fingering most often because I love knitting shawls the most and so many lovely patterns use fingering.
I love all your yarns and their delicious colours, but i love the silk yak lace and any of your fingerings the best.
HI THERE MISS CHANDI, THIS IS SUCH A WONDERFUL GIVEAWAY AND THE COLORS ARE SO PRETTY. I USED TO USE JUST THE WORSTED WEIGHT ON EVERYTHING, THEN I STARTED TO EXPERIMENT WITH OTHERS, NOW I USE MAINLY DK OR SPORT WEIGHTS FOR MY BLANKETS AND WEARABLES AND SAVE THE WORSTED FOR AMIGURUMI.
I mostly use fingering
I love all yarns but mostly knit dk and fingering yarn. Your all fibres are fabulous… love you and your team Chandi 🙂
I mostly crochet dresses for my girls and use fingering weight yarn for those projects.
I usually use worsted weight yarn and occasionally dk.
I use fingering and dk the most.
It really depends on the project, but if I look at the projects of the past year I find that I tend to do mostly projects which require fingering weight yarn
I seem to use a lot of fingering, because I like to make shawls. Love the colors in your Giveaway, and such luscious yarns!
I like to mix it up — I rarely have only one project going, so I like them to be different weights so I can give my hands a break. And fingering weight or lace weight usually gets combined with something heavier, which helps to soften some wild colorways and break up pooling.
Sock or sport weight is my go to. I love how soft and drapey it knits up.
I mostly use worsted weight yarn, but I have started dabbling in using fingering weight and DK weight yarn.
I enjoy working with sport and dk weight yarns.
Love, love, love your tweed sport yarn!
I mostly knit with DK weight yarns. Lately, there has been a baby boom among my friends and neighbours, so I’ve been knitting many baby hats, sweaters, booties and blankets.
I am a DK or fingering weight person and love exotic fibres like camel, alpaca, and cashmere, as well as bamboo and mulberry silk!
I have used mostly worsted weight but recently have been experimenting with other weights. I have found that I really enjoy working with a sport weight and fingerling. Who knew🤷🏼♀️
What glorious colours on this yarn. I usually knit with fingering weight as I mainly seem to knit shawls. I also use Lace weight a lot too, so it’s hard to decide which one I actually prefer.
I have used mostly worsted weight yarn, as I like to make lots of hats.
I’ve tended to use Fingering weight quite a bit over the last couple of years because of the TK’s I’ve worked on. But – I prefer DK or Sport now that I am better at substituting (fun challenge!). Of course, it also depends on the project and/or for whom I intend the FO. And did I mention fiber content? I’m enjoying using different 100% or mixes – or held together! – to see the different textures, drapes, weights, etc. Fun with Fuzzy String – bring it on!!
I am a yarn lover, and have been knitting and crocheting since taking early retirement from teaching just prior to the pandemic. I started with yarns left behind by my youngest daughter, mostly worsted and roving with which I’ve made countless gifts for friends and family. I am currently using more DK yarns to make baby gifts and shawls.
I use a bit more worsted weight but fingering weight is a close second.
Hi Chandi! Another beautiful giveaway!🤩I use fingering & Dk the most! Good luck everyone!🍀
I mostly use dk but love the lightness of 4ply especially for baby garments.
Aloha from Hawaii! My favorite yarn weights are fingering and sport, because of their light weight and yardage per gram. I also like DK for its durability and faster work-up speed.
Hi Chandi, I love those magnificent blue tones this month! Super gorgeous:)
I usually use fingering weight myself, as it is so versatile and usually drapes really nicely. I also like working with DK weight but that’s usually when I’m helping my mom as she prefers that. Also I always prefer soft yarns, nothing annoys me more than having scratchy wool running between my fingers.
I’m really enjoying DK these days — not as slow going as lace or fingering, but still results in a not-too-warm garment.
I use different yarn weights depending on the project. for Quick projects I use worsted or bulky yarns
I mainly use fingering or sport weight.
i gravitate towards worsted and bulky yarns, but i will try anything. My future project list does not discriminate.
Fingering yarn is my favorite. I like yarn, all weights. I also knit quite a bit with bulky yarn.
I guess I use worsted weight most often, but I like DK the best. Fingering or sport weight yarn would be after that.
Been using more fingering in natural fibers lately
I’ve been working with a lot of fingering weight lately, but I am hoping to move back to DK and worsted weight projects soon.
Hello there, lovely give away. I usually use fingering and dk weight yarns.
I like using DK weight best, for many items.
I knit a lot for charitable causes, and that is mostly worsted.
I use worsted weight the most. However, I loved knitting a pair of socks with your resilient sock yarn!
I tend to use any yarn…….whatever the pattern calls for!
I like all yarn weights, but fingering is what I use most often. 🧶🧶🧶
Hi, your yarns are gorgeous as always
I crochet with sports weight yarn the most, and I knit with DK weight the most. I prefer natural yarn over acrylic and polyester. Any yarn that has a great stitch definition is a plus from me.
Yikes!! Wow!! To chose a weight? It depends on the hour, day, week, etc. I have so many projects on the needle and hook. Is it possible to have too many projects – nah! My first love was worsted, but then I dared to try DK and I was hooked (pun intended) on fingering for shawls. Then combining all weights or some weights because all the colors are so yummy. So to chose a weight is impossible for me. So, can I say all weights? Yes, that’s my choice, all weights! Blessings to you, Tim and all of the EFA team! You’re the best!
Thank you for this amazing giveaway 💖 I mostly use worsted weight yarn but I’ve been getting more into dk and sport weight yarns. Lots of love and yarny hugs 😀
While I prefer knitting with dk weight, I tend to make garments more than other items so the cost factor comes in for my size. Much more affordable to buy 3 or 4 skeins of 4ply in good quality hand dyed yarns than 6 or more skeins in the dk. Sad but true.
I can let my hair down for now though with Grandie makes in the 8ply. 😁
I mostly use sport weight and lace. Every time I use a hook that’s bigger than 4mm I’m confused haha
I feel like I use fingering or worsted and not much in between lol
I used to go for DK, but now that I’m knitting more sport-weight and fingering are my go-tos. (What, I have to choose one!? Inconcievable!)
What lovely colors! I use mostly worsted weight yarns
Hi Chandi, i love working with fingering and sports weight yarn. They are so versatile.
Hey Chandi! Thank you for another lovely load of yarn and a chance to win. When I knit it is generally make garments using fingering weight with the occasional dk or light worsted sweater thrown in (weather dictated). However when crocheting, I mostly use worsted weight; as I typically make blankets, throws, toys, home deco items and the like.
I love your videos! they are fun to watch.
Oh, wow, this yarn is so stunning. I was lucky enough to score a massive lot of cheap wool yarn a few years ago, and I’m working my way through it. There’s no weight listed on the label, but it’s approximately sport weight, and I’ve had luck subbing it in with a few different recommended weights in patterns.
I mostly work with Aran but I’ve been loooooving getting into fingering weight!
Whichever yarn the pattern calls for!
I love fingering weight! I knit a lot of socks. Your colorways are so pretty. I can’t wait to get my order in.
I am most comfortable with worsted weight but since I discovered the world of Chandi and EFA Yarns I am loving working with fingering weight and since Chandi inspired me to try to learn to knit I will be venturing into lace weight soon when I make Bordeaux Nights. I’m really looking forward to trying it!
i knit with dk and worsted pretty much equally
I prefer to work with DK and fingering as I love light drapy projects with flow and lace. Heavy yarns wear out my hands faster.
I’ve always been a dk crochet, but now I’m obsessed with making lace!
I mostly use worsted but have used fingering on several projects.
I mostly use Dk but am currently working on a lace weight shawl
I always tend to go for the thinner yarns (fingering weight) because I peronally like how the end result has a feeling of finesse to it.
I mostly use DK/Sport and will be trying fingering before too long.
I usually knit fingering weight yarn for my projects
What a beautiful mountain of yarns. I love and use most weights equally. Do and worsted are my favorite for baby blankets, hats and field for donation. I use fingering often for gifting. Each has a purpose and a unique feel.
Many of the gorgeous colors and yarn sources come in fingering so I started with it. But I find that I like dk better. I have a sweater I am working in worsted and a scarf I am working in a combination of single and double dk. I am also making a poncho with doubling the fingering. But the yarn twisting gets in the way of productivity.
I think DK is my favorite right now. But I would like to see more colors and textures in the DK and worsted weights. I am using more cotton/silk and alpaca/silk, and other sources without the wools. So hoping to see more colors in these weights and sources.
Thank you Chandi and crew for these giveaways. And your great patterns and videos, the yarns are so amazing – I just want to do my very best when using them.
Definitely a worsted girl here!
I think most of the items I have made called for DK or sport weight, but I have used bulky, worsted, fingering and sock weights depending on the project. I knit and crochet.
Ohh, fingering by far
These colorways are gorgeous! I mostly knit fingering, lace and cobweb weights in that order. Thank you for offering the opportunity to win this yarn and for the lovely free patterns you provide each week.
I love fingering for shawls and summer cowls. Then worsted for sweaters and winter cowls.
I’m still pretty new to EFA but I’d love to try Sport, DK, and Worsted weights. I adore Fall colors.
I just started knitting in November last year, I splurged on 2 sets of circular needles (2.5mm & 3mm) and a skein of Regia sock yarn, because I wanted to knit socks. My yarn stash consists of misc. unknown acrylic yarn that mostly sport/DK weight with some baby yarn here and there. I used to crochet a bit, but haven’t crocheted in quite a while. I’m really enjoying knitting and am figuring out stitch counts and lengths for socks that fit me (which I have NEVER had). Good luck to everyone with the giveaway!!
I don’t really have a “most often” used yarn weight. I split my projects between Worsted, DK, and Fingering; depending on the pattern. Thanks for these monthly give-aways!
Oh this is a hard one to answer as in Scotland I loved knitting with DK mostly but now over the years of living in the US I use worsted BUT ever since I found EFA I’m now loving knitting with Fingering yarn a lot. I love the beautiful colors in this selection you chose! ♥️🧶
Definitely fingering. I love making shawls
I would definitely have to say fingering weight yarn is my favorite, especially since it’s ALWAYS hot where I live🌞
Such an eye-watering array of colours you have this month, Chandi. I tend to have colour trends with my knitting and soft blues are the colours of the moment this year rather than my usual pinks. I’m an “in it for the long haul” sort of knitter, loving the intricacy that can be achieved with fine yarns. Four-ply fingerings are my favourites.
I typically use worsted weight although occasionally do sport weight!
Love love this months giveaway colours!
I mostly use worsted and sometimes DK. Not brave enough to try the thinner yarns!
I mostly use fingering weight. I loved working with your Blossom fingering yarn.
Fingering
I really like knitting with fingering weight yarn. Even though it takes longer, I love the look of the finer result.
I seem to use fingering most often because I love to knit shawls.
The weight yarn l’m usin depends on the project I make. But I love fingering weight yarns the most.
I use worsted weight most. I have only recently started learning about different fibers, and man there’s a LOT to learn!
I use mostly worsted yarn, but I’ve been working with a few DK lately and they might become a new favorite!
Hi Chandi and EFA team!👋 These days, I have emphemeral fingering projects line up and love how it enhances and makes the pattern pops.
I honestly don’t know which yarn I use the most… probably worsted? But I firmly am a pattern follower so whatever the pattern of the day calls for.
I use sport or dk weights the most. They work up quick and they’re very easy to find a variety of twist types.
I use DK most often, but am now venturing into the exciting world of 4-ply sock knitting ♥
I mostly use fingering weight as I live in the tropics… 🙂
I mostly use worsted but I’d love to play around with all the different yarns. Worsted is just so versatile
I have some sock weight yarn kits in my stash currently waiting for me to get to several projects. Just started a project with Luster Sport and absolutely love the shine!
I have been using all weights lately depending on my project. Sport weight for a sweater, lace for a shawl, worsted for a baby blanket, fingering for socks. All going to family and friends.
I use mostly fingering weight yarn. You have great YouTube videos
I have been using Buttery Bulky lately but really like to work with the DK and worsted yarns.
I seem to use fingering and dk mostly. Though they use smaller needles and take longer to knit up I like the more delicate feel and drape that they have.
I tend to use whatever is appropriate for the weather: fingering when it’s warm, DK or worsted when it’s cold.
I mostly use fingering. When I want to try out a new yarn, I like to get just one skein of sock yarn to make a pair of socks. And because I have small feet, I usually have 30-40g left over! I’d like to make more scrappy socks or other colorwork projects as I gather more colors. I really only buy non-fingering weight if I am buying for a specific sweater project. I also am about to learn how to spin, which is very exciting and I can’t wait to see what kind of yarn I can make!!
Hi Chandi & fiber friends,
Wow another lovely giveaway good luck to everyone. I use fingering & DK mostly for the yardage. I find worsted weight to be not as generous yardage wise. Though I knit/crochet very quickly, the downside is it takes much longer to finish a project. I’m working on Lacewing at the moment with Curiosity Luster Sport & Amal Flow Fingering and it looks great! I need help though. Well, thanks again Chandi and best of luck to ALL🌸
:Wow! That is a lot of yarn! :). How exciting! I prefer not to knit with anything larger than worsted. I am doing a project now with worsted and then another with lace, fingering and mohair held together. I prefer lighter weight, but love the quick gratification you get when knitting with something like worsted.
The yarns I use most often are #10 thread and very fine #1 yarns.
Mostly I like to knit using DK or 4 ply for shawls and socks. Your yarn giveaway is wonderful – thank you for the chance of winning it.
I most often us Worsted, but have been venturing into fingering and DK lately
I definitely using fingering weight the most. I feel like it’s the most versatile.
I mostly use fingering weight, and sometimes worsted. Thanks for the chance to win this beautiful yarn!
The yarn I used the most is DK yarn. It is not too light and not too heavy. I have been branching out and using fingering yarn and I’m loving it. Also been working with different fibers. Your fingering yarn was the first I’ve used and it was so soft and easy to work with. Thank you for the giveaway.
Probably DK
I usually knit shawls with fingering and sweaters with worsted.
I use fingering weight most often. I find it very versatile and easiest to work with most of the time. I often double it up to replace dk or worsted, giving me many more color options. Or, depending on the fiber, I can get a richer color or denser fabric than if I used a true dk or worsted yarn. I love experimenting this way with different yarns!
i use worsted weight.
I use fingering weight yarn most frequently, but I am also starting to see the wonders of sport and DK. I absolutely adore your tweed sport base.
I go back and forth between DK or fingering with a strand of Suri alpaca held together when I am lucky enough to afford a special yarn to knit myself a sweater. Otherwise it’s all RHSS for GD sweaters and everyone’s blankets.
Thanks for creating this give away
I use fingering weight most often- fingers crossed this month, I love love love the colors!
I use mainly DK, Worsted, or Sport weight, but I’m trying to branch out more use and use more fingerling weight yarn
The weight I use most often is worsted. I usually knit or crochet blankets and it’s a good weight so it doesn’t take forever to make/finish a project. I have used baby weight and chunky weight also, but I don’t like either one of these because they are hard on my hands. Worsted works the best for me.
It used to be worsted, but lately I’ve been using fingering a lot.
Lately fingering, but I actually like to use DK the most. Currently, I have a ton of fingering as I try to finish a large blanket with intricate lotus flowers.
Use either Dk or worsted! Beautiful yarn!
Hello! I use mostly fingering weight yarn in my crochet, but lately I’ve been on a thread crochet kick and making some cool textured doilies/wall hangings with #10 thread. It’s been a fun challenge!
I enjoy knitting with fingering, sport, or DK.
I prefer DK weight, especially for my crocheted garments. But do love a smaller weight for shawls & wraps.
I mostly use sockyarn, because anything thicker and the garment is too thick and hot to wear here in Eastern NC.
Thank you for another amazing giveaway.
Sport or DK weight for this one!
Hi, my name is Manon, I use fingering weight yarn for now, I love the fine texture . Thank you for this giveaway!
Hi Chandi:)
Thank you for your generosity with this giveaway. It’s so kind . I’m new to knitting and right now am knitting mittens and beanies So bulky weight or even extra bulky. Still getting familiar with weight s and fiber terminology.
Fingering through worsted, no lace & not much bulky. Thicker is quicker, but also usually hotter. Love all of your beautiful yarn.
I use fingering or DK mostly these days.
Those yarn colors are gorgeous! I’ll have to take a second look after work. Good luck to everyone..
Hi Chandi! Your yarn is always so beautiful! I only crochet and use mainly sport, DK, or fingering for my projects. I have just discovered mosaic crochet and would love to make a blanket or big shawl with your lovely yarns. Actually…I will use any yarn weight except for bulky…I don’t really enjoy the heavy wight yarns all that much.
Generally I’m a DK kind of girl but lately, I’ve been using a lot of sock yarn! Thank you for the chance to win all these pretties!
Congratulations Brianne!!!
My stash would indicate Fingering, because I keep refilling it!
Oh! What fabulous yarn??? You make me want to make everything!!!
What beautiful yarn in this give-away! I love to use anything from fingering wt. to worsted/aran wt. I’ve made a lot of socks and shawls/scarves in fingering wt. and have used bulky but it is not my favorite. Just love the feel of almost any yarn on my needles!! Yummy is what I look for.
Beautiful yarn. I usually crochet with a 3 or 4 weight.
I’m a knitter who crochets occasionally, and tats and felts and does other fine needlework. I mostly use fingering weight and sometimes lace weight. Some projects are dk or worsted, but I really prefer working with the finer weight yarns; it’s sooo satisfying to produce that fine, drapey, delicate fabric. Your yarns and patterns are exquisite.
I love Dk weight and Fingering weight yarns.
I love to use fingering and dk weight yarns! They give the best drape. ❤
I used DK for several years but now lean toward fingering weight and sport. Your colors are stunning as usual!
Hi! I prefer lace to fingering weight range of yarns and shy away from worsted or bulky.
You most certainly have BEAUTIFUL coloways!
I seem to use worsted weight yarn most of the time
I work with most any weight that works best with the project I intend to make. When I don’t know which fibers are best for a project, I have to depend on recommendations …and can find that here with your yarn descriptions!
Hi,
Lovely yarns as always. I use mostly worsted weight and fingering yarns. Thank you for the opportunity to win some of your beautiful yarn.
Debbie
I mostly use Fingering weight yarns, some DK. I live in NC and feel like it never gets cold enough for heavier weight yarns.
I’m a worsted fan (hello instant gratification!) but most of my projects lately have been sport weight.
Fingering
It depends on what I am making. Not a fan of chunky yarn though.
I love the fine and thin structure you get when knitting with lace and fingering weight yarns.
Even though the projects take forever to finish the end results are always worth the time and effort.
Hi Chandi : I love all your patterns and yarn! It’s always exciting to see them and your tutorials. I crochet and knit. I use worsted yarn the most but have also used dk and fingering. Thank you for all you do and just for being your self.
Hi Chandi,
To me it does not matter with what yarn weight i knit. Every pattern is different and i try to accomodate to the yarn that is described by the designer. I once (just really wanted to) used yarn that was too different and i altered the stitchcount of the pattern. In fact, that was my Fennmont sweater. Luckily it turned out great and i wear it all the time.
Best regards, xoxo Joes.
