Hello, beautiful! This week, I have such a cozy treat for you! Our newest pattern is a soft, snuggly striped pullover that feels made for chilly days, quiet mornings, and curling up in something warm and handmade. This top-down raglan sweater has that wonderfully wearable feel that makes you want to reach for it again and again. Keep reading to learn all about this week’s delightful knit pattern!

Daydreamer was designed by Becca Leith. When asked about her design, Becca said, “What do you do when you’re mindlessly knitting? Daydream! Daydreamer is a simple, Stockinette Stitch, raglan-style sweater that’s designed to allow you to work on it anywhere without any stress. The simplicity of the design allows you to calm your mind from any stressors going on at the time, and daydreaming can help give you additional distraction from these stressors.”

“Because of the simple raglan design, the neckline, sleeve cuffs, body hem, and raglan sections are designed with twisted stitches to give them a unique touch. Daydreamer is knit top-down in the round, starting from the neck ribbing. This ribbing is folded over itself to create a double layered neck. The sweater is intended to be worn with about 4″ (10 cm) of positive ease.”

This Advanced level pattern is for the adventurous knitter who loves to tackle something a bit more complicated. Skills/concepts include Long-Tail Cast On, Backwards Loop Cast On, German Short Rows, Italian Bind Off, knitting through the back loops, and increase and decrease stitches. This pattern includes written instructions and a schematic.

Daydreamer is knit with our scrumptious Alpaca Silk DK yarn. This squishy, cuddly, and huggably soft yarn is crafted from a divine 50:50 blend of baby alpaca and mulberry silk, giving it an irresistible drape and a shimmering glow. This yarn is warm, snuggly, and ideal for next-to-skin garments, which makes every stitch a delight. With 230 yds (210 m) per skein, this plush, 4-ply yarn will give you endless creative possibilities!

This pattern is offered in sizes XS (S, M, L) (XL, 2XL, 3XL)(4XL, 5XL), which correspond to bust sizes of 33 (37, 41, 45) (49, 53, 57) (61, 65)” / 84 (94, 104, 114) (124, 135, 145) (155, 165) cm. This pattern is meant to be worn with about 4″ (10 cm) of positive ease, so choose a size that is about 4″ (10 cm) larger than your bust circumference. The sample is shown in size S, modeled on a 34″ (86 cm) bust.

The sample shown here was knitted with colors: A) Moon Whisper, B) Sundrenched, and C) Dawn’s Embrace. You’ll need 5 – 10 skeins total of Alpaca Silk DK yarn, depending on the size you select. See the yardage/meterage breakdown on page 5 of the pattern for more details. If you wish to make the body or sleeves longer, you will need additional yarn.
