Hello, my pearl! I have a beautiful, repeating row crochet shawl to share with you today, and I’d just love to tell you all about it!

Colina was designed by Sarah Ruane. When asked about her debut design for us, Sarah said, “Colina is the Spanish word for ‘hill.’ The textured ripple pattern in this wrap combined with the gorgeous gradient of the Dewy DK yarn kit immediately reminded me of rolling green hills. This wrap pattern features a simple two-row repeat that is full of texture thanks to the combination of puff stitches and simple double and half double crochets.”

“With this pattern, you have a lot of flexibility with your color choices. You can use five colors as shown in the Glade Hues Dewy DK kit, or change up the number of colors to achieve any gradient you like. You’ll just need to do a little math to figure out the row count for each color. The pattern includes a stitch chart for the ripple pattern, as well as full written instructions.”

This Adventurous Beginner level pattern is for those crocheters who are ready to learn some new skills or stitch combinations. Skills/concepts include color changes, puff stitches, and stacked single crochet stitches.

Colina is made with our scrumptious Dewy DK yarn. It is perfect for items you want to treasure for years to come. Dewy DK is a beautiful DK weight yarn that’s luscious and supremely soft with a gorgeous drape, amazing structure, and a subtle gleam. This yarn is a blend of 70% Superwash Merino Wool, 20% Nylon, and 10% Silk. It has 250 yds/320 m per skein.

The sample shown here was made with our Glade Hues Dewy DK kit and was worked using the darkest to lightest color.

The sample shown used almost all 1,250 yds/1,143 m of this five-skein kit.

We made a video showing how to crochet this shawl. I hope you’ll take a look!

The pattern contains written and charted instructions.
