Hello, my sweet sunbeam! As promised, today I want to share with you our lovely Point Horizon pattern. This fun and adjustable pullover was designed by Janica York Carter, and it is the sister pattern to the Balance Point pullover that we shared with you last week. Please read on to learn all about it!

Janica says, “Crocheted in two identical pieces pattern-wise, this airy top is accented with a simple, lace stitch yoke. Switch things up by swapping the colors on one piece, and you can change the direction you wear it for a different look.”

“Customize it even further in the assembly: begin the side seams a couple of inches above the hemline to create side vents, or stitch the front and back pieces together from the very edge for a solid bottom border. Seam the shoulders from the neckline to the outer edge, or create peek-a-boo vents by stitching together just an inch or two at the neckline and outer edge, leaving the rest of the top edge open.”

Point Horizon is an Adventurous Beginner level pattern. It is for those crocheters who are ready to learn some new skills or stitch combinations. Stitches include simple lace stitches and basic seaming.

This pattern was made with our lovely Ephemeral Fingering yarn. Our Ephemeral Fingering yarn is an ideal yarn for summer. It is 100% plant based and is a mix of 69% soft Pima Cotton and 31% Lyocell.

Point Horizon is available in sizes XS-5XL.

It is designed to be worn with 1-2″ (2.5- 5 cm) positive ease. Additional length can be added, but it will require additional yardage.

This top used [760 (876, 994, 1194, 1250)(1384, 1560, 1746, 1900) total yards] / [695 (801, 909, 1092, 1143) (1266, 1427, 1597, 1737) total meters]

Total yards used for this sample (size S): approximately 860 yds total (430 yds Color A, 430 yds Color B) / 801 m total (400.5 m Color A, 400.5 m Color B).

The sample is shown in colors Cibrina and Serein. Based on your selected size, you will need 1 (1, 1, 2, 2) (2, 2, 2, 2) skein(s) of each color of our Ephemeral Fingering yarn. If you do not want to alternate colors, you may need to purchase an additional skein of your body color to ensure adequate yardage.

We have filmed a video tutorial for you demonstrating how to crochet the body stitch pattern and the yoke stitch pattern. Take a look, and let us know what you think:
