Hello, my beautiful friend! This week, I have a stunning, lace shawl pattern for you called Hearten. This gorgeous knitted shawl is flowing and draping and perfect for adding a touch of elegance to your wardrobe! I hope you’ll read on to learn more!

Hearten was designed by Kayla Baldwin. When asked about this pattern, Kayla said, “Hearten is an easy rectangular shawl with a simple garter stitch border and a repeating lace motif that’s quick to learn and easy to remember. Featuring lacy decreases, the pattern creates a soft, textured fabric with a subtle, three-dimensional leaf effect and beautiful openwork. After a few repeats, the rhythm becomes second nature, making it a relaxing knit you can pick up and put down with confidence.”

“This design became a soothing change of pace for me – a way to let my mind rest and find steadiness while learning to navigate a new chapter of life, single motherhood, and healing.”

This is an Intermediate level pattern that is perfect for knitters who feel comfortable with knitting and have made a few projects, using various skills and techniques. Skills/concepts include garter stitch borders, knit 4 together, and knit 4 together through the back loop. The pattern includes written and charted instructions and comes with a video tutorial.

This pattern was made with our lovely Limited Edition Seacoast Fingering yarn, which is ideal for all seasons. It is a mix of 83% soft Pima Cotton, 12% scrumptious Baby Alpaca, and 5% Polyamide with 439 yds/400 m per skein. Seacoast Fingering is a dreamy, soft yarn that’s dyed in beautiful, ocean-inspired colors with a subtle, wavy texture that adds interest to your projects.

Our sample was knitted in colors: A) Iris Ebb, B) Salt-Kissed Shell, C) Blush of the Morning Tide, D) Crimson Sunset, E) Amethyst Shore, and F) Siren’s Promise. The pattern uses one skein each of six colors, and our sample used approximately 1,557 yds/1,424 m total: Color A: 350 yds/ 320 m, Colors B – E: 237 yds/217 m EACH, and Color F: 259 yds/237 m.
