I love making gifts – so much. Wish I could do it full time!
I am excited to be excited for the holidays for the first time in my life. Growing up in an abusive family, Thanksgiving and Christmas became nothing more than anniversaries where I got the crap kicked out of me every year for over a decade, and the trauma stuck around long after I got away. Happily married now with a beautiful baby girl, I feel like my heart is going to explode every time her eyes light up when she sees our Christmas tree. I’m excited to break the cycle and start enjoying Christmas instead of being broken from October to January.
Thank you so much for doing this!

The one thing I’m excited about the holidays is spending time with family.
I am always excited to celebrate God’s greatest Gift to Mankind, His Son Jesus Christ! John 3:16-17 tells us, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” God loves everyone and wants everyone to be saved and go to heaven! This is why God sent his Son. He was born to die on Calvary to pay the price for our sins! Sadly, many choose not to accept the free gift of eternal life and are sentenced to eternity, ultimately, in the Lake of Fire created for Satan and his demons. John 3:18 says, “He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” Romans 10:9-10 tells us, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Accept the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Savior today! Celebrate not just the babe in the manger, but the Savior of the World!

Just being with the kids to see their smiles and have hugs on tap.
It will be hard from the perspective that the location is the same as last year and dad was there. Hopefully I’ll ‘see him’ and remember the smiles he had on those days. So mixed feelings, the kids no doubt will have mixed feelings too, but we’ll smile through the tears and hug on.
Chandi, may you and the team have a wonderful Xmas Season, keep safe and Merry Christmas from Down Under. xo
I’m most excited to have my children and grandchildren here this year.

I feel this time of year miracles can happen. That’s what I love and ask anyone to help with a miracle. A young mom with 4 boys has been found with a tumor. She is related by marriage but I call her my sister. Nichole is her name and could use prayer and good vibes for healing. Miracles seem to happen this time if year and she could use one right now. Sorry to use this Avenue, but I am finding any prayers for her I can.

Just before going into the store I took a moment and asked to be guided to a perfect gift for her. And that I was. Down to finding a pen that is like one we saw at a random business a couple months ago. This gift is just so perfect for her. I can’t wait to give it to her.

I never new she existed until she sent me a garbled text and I thought she was a scam. She sent another clearer text the next day I called mom to see if she had a child in the 50’s and low and behold she did. I am most excited to see my son’s reaction when he sees his new bicycle. My husband has been unemployed for months and my son thought a bike was unrealistic and too much money. It was a lot, but thanks to layaway and careful budgeting, we did it. My daughter will also love her doll accessories, especially the dress I crocheted for her.

I’m looking forward to going to my grandparents’ house for Christmas. Grandma makes homemade cinnamon rolls every year, and only at Christmas time. They live on 3 acres out in the country, and we often see deer grazing near the creek that borders their backyard. Grandma and Grandpa are very low-tech, so our days are filled with books and conversation and Christmas music on the radio and card games and laughter. Christmas at Grandma’s is all about family and home and peace.

It’s a hard one this year, we are expecting the loss of yet another uncle due to cancer, and My mum is gone to help care for her brother, so we may have a delayed or subdued celebration this year. However, it is also the first Christmas with our new baby boy, who will have just turned 5 months when the big day arrives. Just goes to show that there can always be a spark of light, even in darkness, as well as the cyclical nature of love, life and the seasons within! As always, thank you for your generosity! Merry Christmas, best wishes for the season, however you celebrate!
Spending family time❤️❤️❤️

We don’t really do a lot in the way of gift giving in my family. Instead, we place more emphasis on shared activities and experiences that connect us to our family, like baking day with my daughter. That is the absolute, one thing I am most excited about…that and the fact that I get to travel somewhere warm and not covered in snow, lol

I don’t have very good connotations of this season I’m afraid. But have a great Christmas everyone!

To see my Grandsons faces on Christmas morning.
I am excited to spend time with my kids. We all enjoy spending time together.
The holidays have been rough the last couple of years. My grandfather passed away Christmas eve 4 years ago which was hard on everyone. My folks moved away to fulfil a life long dream to own a piece of the Canadian North wilderness. Weather is often an issue driving to them and them us during the winter. My grown daughter headed up there a couple of years ago and she’s my best friend and I miss her so very much. She recently got engaged to a wonderful man. We will be making the move up there in the next year or two and I am thankful for my family, although we don’t get to see each other as often as we’d like, we Skype, text, email, and call each other often. I am thankful for every day we get with each other. I am thankful for my Grandmother still being here with us at the age of 96. And most of all, I am thankful for my lovely fiancé who not only puts up with my crazy family but enjoys them too.
I’m excited to have my other half open his Christmas present. He gave me cash to get myself what I wanted. I decided to use it to buy him a new TV. He’s been using a very very old computer monitor as a TV for several years & it just made me crazy to see him squinting at the screen all the time & having to get up & walk to the monitor to change channels & adjust the volume. Now he’ll have a nice sized flat screen TV with a remote. A win win win all the way around.
Amazingly beautiful!!
Every year we all get busier & busier! Trying to keep up with everyone’s schedules is a nightmare. There are times when it’s weeks before I hear from one of our 6 children! On Christmas Day however, I know for certain that each one of them and their families will be home! It may be just that day but every bit of it is cherished!!! Happy Holidays to each and every one of you!!!

P.S. ~ I forgot to add this in my last post but I also love having an extra reason to knit as well. 😂
This year I’m most excited about the holidays because I know that my little sister’s divorce is finally finalized. This means that she and her two youngest kids are able to move in with her her second oldest son out of state and they will have a stress free holiday. It’s been a year and 9 month battle and her ex ended up agreeing to the exact same thing he was first presented with in the very beginning before he overpaid his first lawyer and hired a second lawyer. He’s made her and the kids lives a living hell, all living under the same roof during all this time. The kids won’t even have to see him for at least an entire year. I’m so very happy for her and the kids.

I am excited to be spending my first Christmas in my new home. I am blessed to have my son with me. We have rescued a very funny cat (nicknamed the Mighty Jungle Beast). I plan to have a quiet day, work on a shawl I am crocheting for a friend, and watching Christmas movies.

I’m looking forward to time to just be in the moment with family and friends.
Exited for our first Christmas in our new home and enjoying my kids at this age and the new traditions we are incorporating.
My husband and I have no children, and our siblings live far and wide. So our tradition is to take a trip out of the country…to someplace warm. This year we are heading to Thailand. Neither of us have ever been to this area of the world. We will sail from Thailand to Singapore and then come home. I always look forward to this time … unplugged (mostly) and spending quality time with the man of my dreams. So, to answer your question: The thing I am excited about this year is exploring a new area of the world with the love of my life.
I look forward to my kids opening their gifts every year

I’m excited about my husband getting some days off! Days off that we can spend together and not have to go to my endless doctor appointments. My health has gotten so bad and he works so hard because I can’t anymore. Sometimes I wish there were more holidays that he had off so the poor man could rest. Those are some beautiful colors!! I’m sure my husband would like one so I could knit him something out of this beautiful stash!! ❤️🧶🧶🧶❤️ ❤️🐸
Hanukkah has already passed, so the excitement about the holidays has pretty much left at this point.

I am excited that my daughter and my youngest grandson are here – she has moved here to help me out while I go through chemo come January. I won’t be able to work much, but I am hoping I won’t be too tired to knit
I am really excited about going home for the holidays and spending time with my elderly parents and seeing my sister and her family and enjoying the time together in my hometown in California. There is nothing like family time!!!
Merry Holidays to all! I am excited about the holiday because we get a whole week off which translates into Time for myself. No deadlines, no requirements. Time to spend with family and catch up with friends, remembering the good times and making new memories; Time to relax or finish a project, or a book. Time to reflect, rejuvenate, reset.
This Christmas I’m looking forward to spending time with my family without the worry and stress of my job hanging over my head. 🙂

I don’t have much to get excited about any more for Christmas. Both my parents are gone, my sister doesn’t speak to me and I’m disabled on very limited income. Besides spending time with my family, I’m excited because it’s my 11-month old daughter’s first Christmas!

I am looking forward to my husband’s Christmas goose! He’s a better cook than I am and is in charge of Thanksgiving and Christmas. Several years ago he tried cooking a goose and it’s been our requested Christmas dinner ever since. (I bake. So we make a good team.)
I have four O.S.U. scarves ready for their new owners. Double knit (which I just learned this summer – at age 71) with the block O on each of them!
That after almost 15 years of living too far away from my family that I not only get to see them on Christmas, but I get to bring the Christmas cookies! My mom was the unofficial keeper of the recipes (no one else wanted them) and now I have the recipes. I can’t make ALL of them but I can make a couple and I can be with my family and enjoy the season.
Taking a breather after finishing my “present projects” before I begin again for next year!

Love having all of my extended family togeather! .. grateful fir all the memories this time creates! ❄️🤗🎄
My favorite part of the Christmas holidays is coming together as a community. I live in a small Alaskan village, 300 people or so gather at the community Hall on Christmas Eve and share gifts. Santa will show up and hand out candy or mandarin oranges to all the kids, children dress up in their best dresses and suits for family photos. We sing carols, give out our gifts, and afterwards have Christmas Eve service. This is the time of year we try hard to lift up those who have a hard time during the holidays.
Happy Holidays Dollface. I think I am most excited to give my loved ones gifts I have knitted for them. One of my faves is a pair of socks made from one of your pink motorways. Have a fantastic Christmas and Happy New Year!!!
Honestly, I think for the first time I’m not really excited. Though it will be great not being in as much pain.

After working shifts for many years I will have 4days off to knit, eat too much, see the family and snuggle with the furkids.
Congratulations Barbara!
I’m excited to put an end to the holiday knits and get back to my selfish knitting. I have a shawl that is practically BEGGING to be cast on and I’ve had to leave it shut away so I’m not tempted. I love seeing people, I love gifting things to them, but I really like when it ends and I can sit and soak the quiet up with a pile of lace weight in my lap.
Excited for all my family to be together.
Gatherings with family and friends
