The one thing that always brings me joy is my daughter. I love her more than anything on this Earth. Her smile always makes my day better and her hugs are able to melt away any bad of the day. She is the reason for everything I do. She truly is my heart.
My two cats besides all of the knitting and crocheting I do, bring me joy, Both of my kits are rescue kitties. One is blind and although blind still gets around at a good speed. She does love to be near me, especially in the evening, where she lays beside me and has one foot always touching me.
My other kit, was found badly beaten and it took quite a few months to realize she had a broken pelvis. She will always be handicapped, but I work hard around this with her, by providing stools, boxes, and large plastic bins for her to get up on to get to where she wants to go, which is usually somewhere higher than she can climb.
I love them both and hold them near and dear to my heart.
Thank you for listening and congratulations to whoever the winner may be!

Hi Chandi. I’ve been through a lot these last few years due to an accident with a semi that was stalled in the drive lane during a freak snowstorm. In right handed and they wanted to remove my pinkie and I said no. I also have plates and pins in that hand. It tires easily and if I move just so I can feel the plats. I also have other plates and pins. Anyway…I used crocheting as therapy for my hand and wrist. My joy now is to steal an hour or so just for me to crochet.

When he wakes in the middle of the night, picking him up and bringing him into the bed with me and that he has to be touching me at all times (we are working on transitioning him to a big boy bed before his baby brother or sister arrives this Spring)

My joy: Crafting. I’m a serial crafter, from origami and basket weaving. I always loved watching my great grandmother and my grandmother’s sisters knit and crochet, but I was too young to be interested in taking it up. Fast forward to October 20 years, and I’m hunting for a hobby that is fun, relaxing, and, well, useful (because I can only have so many baskets hanging around before people start doubting my sanity). So, October, I’m cleaning and reorganizing my closet (because Fall, YAY!!) and I find myself thinking, “Wow, I have so many scarves and hats and gloves.” Then, as it occurs to me that I’ve just spent an hour moving such accessories because I love how they feel, I realize that I need to make these things! So commenced the Google search that led me to your YouTube channel, and I’m instantly mesmerized. Three days later I find myself in my local craft store drooling in the yarn aisle because, well, tactile opulence, selecting a lovely oatmeal yarn and an appropriate pair of knitting needles, and practically skipping home in excitement. I even broke the no-junk-food-during-the-week rule by picking up a pizza so that we wouldn’t have to cook and clean the kitchen. I started it typical Amanda-style: I dove in head-first. And I’m in love. I’m so so in love. I can’t wait to become even better at this! Thank you for your wonderful, upbeat, easy-to-follow tutorials!
