Well, I had an idea.
I love doing giveaways for you each month, but I always feel like I could do MORE. I’m always sad that only 1 person wins…
So I thought. And I thought. And I knew what I had to do.
I am giving $1000 via Paypal, broken down into $100 increments, to 10 lucky winners.
The giveaway is running from December 2nd, 2013 to Dec 19th, 2013, so you’ll still have time to go out and buy some Christmas presents with it.
There’s no weird catch or anything… I always hate those types of giveaways where you have to sell your soul to the devil and jump through 5 burning rings while holding your breath for 20 minutes, upside down in a gas chamber to claim your money, but you only get it when you’re 90, or you can take $1 a year instead. What? 🙂
If you win, I’ll send $100 to your Paypal account. Boom. Done.
Why am I doing this? I want to give back.
I am richly, massively and abundantly blessed to serve you each day via my yarn business. One of my life goals is to give back and I want to start giving MORE and more and more out into the world.
Life is about helping our fellow man/woman and I plan on doing just that.
I’m using Rafflecopter this time to make things easy! It’s pretty self-explanatory:
10 random winners will be chosen on December 20th!
I sincerely hope it makes your holidays BETTER.
And stay tuned for the New Year because I have LOTS of goodies planned. I am dreaming/planning BIG this year and so many great things are going to happen. No more living in fear. No more hiding. Life is meant for the living and we’re livin’ it up…
Enjoy your day and THANK YOU for being here, reading my post and for being alive… You are needed and you have a purpose.
XOXOXO
Chandi

My nephew is getting married to an Indian woman in Mumbai the day after Christmas. We are the only family members who can attend (we live in Dubai and travel from here is affordable). He really wants his only brother to be in attendance as well, and has taken up a collection for his airfare. He’s almost there! I would add the $100 prize to his brother’s collection, and maybe it will put him over the top!
(By the way, the bride is expecting well over 300 relatives and friends. The US contingent could use all the presence it can muster!)

Your yarn is the nicest yarn that I have ever used!! I am making socks for my sisters for Christmas. The colors that I am using are absolutely beautiful!!
This is a wonderful way to give back… Thank you. May you be richly blessed as you bless others this Christmas!!
I am so inspired by you for starting a business doing what you love. I have never won anything from you (or anyone else HA!) but still want to thank you for being so generous to your fans/customers and doing lots of giveaways. One day it will be my turn =)
Thank you for the opportunity
Thanks for thinking of others – which is what I will do when I win! You’re an inspiration! Happy Holidays!
I will use this money for my yarn business. 🙂
My bf really wants a proper Dr. Who scarf, so I will most likely buy the yarn to knit him that scarf. I have 2 years to make it before our ceremony!
First of all thank you for this nice contest!

Have a nice day!
I will use the 100 dollars to buy Christmas presents for my family and maybe something for myself!!
I would love to win this to surprise my friends for Christmas and give it to them as gifts!
Chandi, you are just the Best! I love not only that you are doing this contest, but also the words you wrote in your blog about living life and not being afraid. I for one lived a life full of fear for years, being in one abusive relationship after another. I finally, FINALLY learned how to break free of that. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of hope and courage. Thank you for being not only a wonderful yarnist (is that a word?) but, I feel, a friend!
Oh! I forgot to say what I would do with the money if I were to win! Hmmmm. Well, obviously, I’d buy more of your yarn. But I think I would also go get a name off the Angel Tree and sponsor a child for Christmas.
You would get your money right back because I would buy some of your luscious yarn with the money!
I would buy your yarn absolutely and make something for myself and others.
Gas up the car and take my son on a mini road trip.
So awesome and generous!
I would let my daughter buy $100 worth of your yarn! She’s in Law School and knitting and crocheting is a huge stress reliever for her.
I loved all your yarn also I used one of your yarn to maching a colors on my bedroom wall it so cool also I would buy yarns from you with money’s also use money for school and food just in case!!!
I would put the money towards our broken AC fund, or buy some Winter clothes. Both are a necessity!

If I win, I will be able to get my boyfriend a Christmas gift. 😀 Doing something special for him is all I want this year.
I would use it to help pay for Christmas. Money is really tight this year.
If I am fortunate enough to be a winner, I would buy some of your lovely yarns to make gift/gifts for one (or more) of my favorite people. If I do I will post a photo.
$100 wouldn’t really make a dent in what I would need it for so I would just have fun and buy gifts for the people closest to me.
I won’t feel guilty putting it on my credit card. ;P
Will need more yarn soon.
I hate spending money on myself, so I’d use it for something I want.. probably more fiber! 🙂
$100 to get the EFA yarn I’m coveting!
Hi, if I were to win a 100 dollars, I would buy yarn with it and create a unique piece of crochet I have been saving for.
Inez
I’d love to treat myself to some of your gorgeous yarn for the first time! As I’m in the UK, the shipping has made it a bit prohibitive up to now!
Thanks for this giveaway!
I’ll pay a couple of bills and buy some gifts for loved ones
I would love to buy more of your gorgeous yarn to make gloves for the volunteers at our local shelter.
Thanks so much for the chance to win, but also for showing how to give to others. I’m a fairly new customer, but I love your yarn!
My niece is getting married out in Arizona on December 23. I was trying to save enough money for a plane ticket to be there with them, but things kept coming up and I’m not able to go. I would use this money to give them an extra special gift.
Chandi,
You may be blessed but you ARE a blessing, an inspiration and sincerely a generous amazing woman!
Thank you for sharing your creative self!
Terry
I’ve been drooling over some of your yarn to use for a broomstick lace pattern. So if I win that’s where it will go!

Terry

My son in college could use the 100.00
Would buy more yarn to make more shawls.
What a lovely thing for you to do. I really appreciate the thought you put into this, as well.
What would I do with your gift? Well, to be honest, I’ll try not to buy more yarn. I have so many skeins right now ready to go on the needles, I’m on overload trying to choose the next one to start. (I just finished a months’ long shawl project that I loved doing. It took so long, though, that I’m still in shock that, as of yesterday, I’m actually done. 😉 And for a change, this one is actually for me!!!) Fortunately, I have a couple of other projects on the needles that I can work on while I consider my next magnum opus.
But to be realistic, there’s every chance that I’ll just cycle that money right back to you, because I have very little resistance to your beautiful, high quality products.
Wishing you and yours a wonderful holiday season and a marvelous new year. 🙂 You are an inspiration to many of us.
Thank you for passing it on which I would do if I won,
What a great giveaway 🙂
And I would ofcourse buy some yarn from you as a christmas gift for myself 🙂
I don’t think here will be any presents with yarn in under my tree…
I’d use it to buy more gorgeous yarn from Etsy!
If I were to be one of the winners I would use the money to put towards buying my daughter a really nice artificial Xmas tree since we think my youngest grandson is allergic to the real thing since his eye was swollen shut the next morning. 🙁
Oh yes! This would be great to win!
And of course I could buy some of your yarn! 🙂
Well I think it is pretty obvious. She doesn’t have to send the money to me just put it in her pocket and send me some yarn!!!!
Every one of your emails makes me smile. I love your positivity 🙂 The prizes you are offering today will mean so much to the winners.
Thanks, Chandi
If I would be so lucky to win, I’d like to take my husband and my parents out to a nice restaurant to thank them for all their love and patients. I have to admit, though, after reading some of the above comments, I’m hoping for other people to win. Good luck everyone and thank you Chandi for being such a loving person.

You are so kind sharing your hard earned money! Honestly I would love to spend it ALL on yarn but this year has been really rough for me. I’m not quite sure how I’m going to buy my kids Christmas presents, so this would really come in handy!

Great giveaway!
Buy more yarn! While on fixed budget, money gets tight, so I would buy more yarn to make something for someone, as I usually give away what I make. I just enjoy the making, and it does my heart good to see surprise and joy on the face of the receiver :-)!
I would use the money to get some gifts for my kids.
What a wonderful giveaway. If I won, I would buy yarn from you!
I would purchase more yarn! I enjoy making something and giving it away to see the surprise and joy on the person’s face.
I would buy Christmas presents or yarn or a yarn ball winder!
TheKnitStore on Etsy.com has a Large Maple Yarn Swift Winder – Adjustable for $21.95. I was doubtful at first about how good it would be & about how much storage area it would take, but I was pleasantly surprised with how well it works. I fold it up for fairly easy storage in its bag and the pegs adjust to many positions for larger or smaller hanks of yarn. I did go to a hobby store and spend $2.00 for some dowel toppers to put on the top of the pegs for winding yarns like silk. I’ve found it’s a great investment for when I wind my yarn into center pull balls.
Give… that’s what I’d do with the $$… buy an extra present for someone in need.
love your beautiful work and have received many compliments on a scarf I had knitted with your silk yarn. thanks for the chance to win.
Hi Chandi, this giveaway is so kind of you ! What I would do with this money ? Well… a nice present for my lovely son and… buy lots of your wonderful yarn !

What a blessing this would be to our family! We are struggling this year financially, so this would go a long way towards Christmas gifts for our 4 children…as well as birthday gifts for our 3 oldest who were all born in January!
$100 would definitely come in handy around here right now, what with xmas coming. I’d probably spend most of it on my son for Xmas gifts because I’m on a fixed income and his father can’t be bothered to contribute. I might also buy a small gift for myself 🙂
I would buy more yarn to make head warmer headbands as gifts that sing with beauty. I would also use the yarn purchased to help heal a broken heart that is tied to the person who taught me to knit.

Wow! Wat a beautifull giveaway!!!!
I think the entire package Chandi delivers is so genuine it becomes a pleasure reading the Facebook posts and going to this blog (rarely, but doing so). I love looking at her projects as they are inspirational. I like looking at the yarn, because it is beautiful and it would be fun to have some to see what I could make. And, because I’m not too adventuresome, IF I win I think I’d spend it on her yarn and buy a pattern and make it just for myself…or maybe someone else, which is what I usually do….

Since losing everything to flooding caused by Hurricane Floyd in 1999, I haven’t had a hobby room of my own. We were under-insured and we spent 2.5 years fighting our insurer in Federal Court because they refused to pay out on our flood policy (we won, but we didn’t get enough to rebuild our home the same size due to being under-insured). We then spent 2.5 years trying desperately get our contractor to finish our house. He knew we aren’t wealthy, so he kept abandoning our home to work for wealthy clients with money to throw at him. It’s taken these many years since to save enough to rebuild our garage, also ruined by Floyd. My husband decided we should have the contractor take some of the garage to create a hobby room for me. Yippee!!! So, I would use the money to buy furniture for the room. It’s not a large room, yet still the furniture for this room isn’t as cheap as I’d hoped. I’ll be looking at 2nd hand stores and furniture auctions.
I’d shop online 🙂
I can only hope…been a rough year. Would certainly help!

This is such a lovely thing for you to do. in helping those of us that are struggling. I really appreciate all your efforts and thoughts that you put into making this possible.
In the response of: “What would I do with your gift?” Well, there’s nothing like true honesty, I have been in debt due to bills accumulating, especially after my injury in a car & pedestrian accident. I have a family member that recooperating after an operation; that hasnt sidelined her as she hasnt been able to work because she has made it her best of importance to take care of me. Right now I’m on overload trying to figure how we can remodel the (house) kitchen, bathroom, garage, car, wardrobe or get a new computer – this one is on its last legs. And for a change, maybe a gift actually for me would be that blessing to what I have wished for, for years! Fortunately, I have a couple of other things that I’ll consider for my family as I would want to give some to my mother first as she has done so much but has gotten little credit. But to be realistic, there’s every chance that I’ll just provide that money into Savings Bonds for each family member equally, because this way they’ll have something to fall back on in that of an urgent matter. I have very little in that of money but friends will tell you I have a heart of gold.
You are so wonderful to give like this. I love to create things with my yarn and share them with others.
OH MY! I just keep trying! I never win, but what the heck? I have nothing better to do. Love to crochet, guess I should learn how to Knit, I see so many beautiful things that are knitted and there seems to be more for that than crochet.. Just picked up my hooks for the first time in 40 years, yarn has changed of course prices are a shock to me but the yarn choices are spectacular!
I have forgotten so much have to re-learn some of the old and learn the new..
Think at 68 I can learn it again? I’ll give it that old college try!

I’ll keep watch more closely, I promise! Do you do any clubs for your new colorways that I could subscribe to?
Actually, you know, I am thinking to buy yarn to make more things for my grandchildren. My daughter had her new baby boy Dec 2cd. He was born early and was small to begin with, though he is doing really well. I would love to purchase some of your yarn to crochet something for the little one. Oh what a Joy that would be, to work with your yarn and create something for him. My daughter and her family are in need of a lot of things right now. They do not have their own home, praying that changes soon. But I can say that my grandchildren and my daughter appreciate anything that I make for them…so this is a wonderful opportunity to be able to make more. 😉

I would spend all of it on yarn!
I will pay off bills!
Thanks for doing this! You are an inspiration in so many ways.
WHOO WHO!! You’re the best! So glad you are LIVING your life! I am not only ENVIOUS, I am INSPIRED. Thanks for the example & thanks for your give-aways.
I would use the money to help both of my sisters buy Christmas presents for my nieces and nephews.
Couldn’t love the colors you create more. They shimmer with Yak, slide with silk and area washable too with merino superwash. I love your yarn, Chandi.
I would save to go to Vegas next year
I will buy christmas presents for my nephews
I will use it to buy some groceries.
I would buy more yarn from your site to make as gifts for my new grandson..
I do not care if I win the money or not, I just think Chandi is hot. Too bad I do not care about yarn.
Keep up with bills so after Christmas isn’t so scary!
i’d buy extra stocking stuffers for everyone and find the biggest turkey for a change. Thanks for the chance.
