I have so many project ideas and not enough time! Want to finish the wips I have and maybe make a cardigan.
I adore cowls and lace shawls, but gloves and handwarmers are also faves, and I’m hoping to add sweaters this year.
I want to try out some color work for the first time!
I just love your beautiful yarn! Your work is out of this world, always paired with the most amazing “mood board” of images. I’m just so excited, now that I live in the US that I can finally enter your giveaways!
I love crocheting and have just started a top down, circle yoke sweater. Will be browsing your beautiful patterns for some inspiration.
Me too
I am going to be doing a farm to sweater project this year, I have purchased raw alpaca wool and I am spinning it and then going to crochet it into a sweater! I am also making a crocheted ball gown made entirely from crocheted peacock feathers!
Hello! Thank you for always brightening my day with your posts. I hope you tackle more color work this year.
I want to finish up several whips and make a croppe d version of Creery in a Rick dark b purple.
Shawls, sweaters and sockS!
Looking at different caplets, ponchos and wraps. Easy to throw on and stays in place.
I want to up my game this year. I want to make a couple of blankets and tackle my phobia of gauging… and make a couple of sweaters. I can usually get the rows or stitches to match but rarely both. 2025 is the year!
My goal for knitting this year is to learn some new techniques. Trying to become more comfortable with the intermediate level knitting and lace work
2024 may have ended, but your generosity never does. Thank you.
Most of my recent sweaters have been either bulky yarn or marls of 2 or more strands. I want to make a couple of lighter weight sweaters and some tees.
I’ll be working on getting through my stash as we as msking baby items!
Happy new year Chandi to you and your family. I look forward to many wonderful things to come in my life this year and one includes making heirloom pieces out of yarn 🧶 from your company. Have a wonderful and blessed new year
This year I would like to knit more conscient, not so compulsive. I have as projects many sweaters, stranded colourwork or intricate cables. also, I want to knit, at least, a colourwork sock.
I want to try Brioche knitting this year.
I’m always interested in projects that inspire me to learn a new technique or stitch. I gravitate towards designs and yarns inspired by nature,
and enjoy knitting with DK or lighter weight yarns. I’ve always wanted to find perfect patterns for a convertible knitted skirt/wrap and a sophisticated dress.
I’m hoping to complete the projects I’ve already started and abandoned for a different one. This year is all about finishing things I’ve started or goals I’ve wanted to reach but never did. I’m determined this year!
Your yarn is absolutely the most scrumptious !!!
These are so gorgeous! I am looking forward to making my first adult-sized sweaters this year. I’m nervous, but I can’t wait to be able to wear a whole sweater that I made myself!
Happy New Year! One of my New Years resolutions is to complete the WIPs that have been in time out until I have nothing but new patterns to start. These WIPs include sweaters, blankets, scarves, and amigurumis. I need to work on my knitting so want to start adding some patterns in for this year too. Fingers crossed!
I would love to win the yarn. There are so many beautiful things to make, I can’t decide what to choose. Thank you for running this giveaway.
Lots of fingerless mitt patterns to try this year.
I would love to make some ponchos and some lace garments i.e. sweaters, cardigans.
Hello Chandi! Your yarn colors are absolutely stunning. This year, I’m diving into creating elegant, long gown dresses in various designs. I’m excited to push myself beyond sweaters, cardigans, and similar projects — it’s all about exploring new horizons in my knitting journey. Cheers!
I think I might be willing to give gloves another go. The trauma of my initial attempt has passed 🤣
Hahahaha, I felt this comment in my soul!!
Hi Chandi. This year I am focusing on wearables and socks. That’s my new passion. I’ve made enough blankets to blanket the world it feels like. lol. 😝
Beautiful Colors! This year I’m determined to finish a blanket started for my sister 4 years ago. I’m excited to receive my Pearlescent Fingering yarn on Monday so I can start the Harukaze Poncho. After that more scarves sweaters and blankets. and of course wash cloths. Happy 2025!
Gorgeous yarn as always. I would like to make socks, shawl, sweater or top and a cardigan. Thank you Chandi
I’m goi g to push myself to advance my beginner knitting skills. I have made hats and scarves but want to venture out with shawls and maybe even a sweater! I’m a god at crochet so this year will be focused on learning g more knitting skills.
I would like to make some new garments in crochet. A cardigan, a dress etc
I truly love your yarns. You are going to cause me to go broke. I have ordered so much from in the last years. I am about to retire and will be on a limited income very soon.
I really like to knit a nice cardigan to pamper me in 2025 🙂
This year I am interesting in learning more knitting stitches, techniques and pattern. I am a long time crocheter but beginning knitter.
I’m planning to make several sweaters, both cardigans and pullovers. I’d like to make a Christmas sweater to wear in December. 🙂
Oh, I have so many projects in mind. I still have to get caught up from all the wonderful items I picked up in 2024. I do have a robe in mind for my daughter in law. Like me, she loves the feel of your yarns. She was the recipient of the Collocation throw I made, and she LOVES it.
Hoping to make a cardigan this year and commit to learning to knit! Crocheted my whole life but so want to learn to knit!
I’d like to get a few sweaters done before the end of winter . And I’m currently self learning to crochet, something I’ve been wanting to do for years! You make everything so beautiful
Melissa M
2025 came so fast. This year I want to knit some sweaters and maybe a shawl or two. And I need another pair of mittens and some new socks. Lots of projects planned.
I want to actually finish a few of my current WIPs and knit a cardigan this year!
This year I want to make wearables. Cardigans, hats, scarves and maybe even socks.
I can only hope that I’m blessed with winning this amazing collection of yarn….I am obsessed with your site.. Your talent… Your patterns.. Your colors….fingies crossed…ps hope you had an amazing holiday season…. Your positivity keeps me going😘
I will continue to do shawls and socks! I love them. I do make baby things, but shawls and socks are my thing.
comme toujours des couleurs lumineuses et très inspirantes
What a great giveaway! For 2025, I’m committed to knitting some scarves featuring Dragon Scale designs for myself and my daughter, cabled throws for myself and my two daughters, a sock KAL starting in January run by a local dyer specializing in dying yarn to produce perfectly matched striped socks, an accessories KAL in February run by a shop specializing in English and Scottish wools, a year-long SAL run by a cross stitch designer, with prizes for finishing one of 12 designs by the end of 2025, stitching a beautiful reproduction sampler on deep blue linen using silk floss, and of course, knitting Flightengale and crocheting Red Velvet Shawls, for which I just received your yarn on Monday. To be honest, I doubt that I can finish all of these in 2025, and I’m sure that more things will demand my attention. Regardless, I should have some lovely items finished by year end.
This year I am interested in making sweaters and socks for my loved ones!
I’m excited to crochet my own wedding dress this year!
Thank you all at EFA for all that you do for all of us. I knit exclusively with your yarns and could not be happier! Working on Dreamglow – added another center column and extensive beading in the Father Christmas EFA yarn. Would love to see a few more men’s sweater patterns. Thank you for your endless generosity too!
I have entered every month for years, but I confess I am lusting after this giveaway at a whole new level! Such a gorgeous selection. My fear is that I will not be able to get through my present EFA stash before I die — which is a legitimate fear, now that I am in my 70s! Guess I will have to include my remaining stash in my will. . . 😉
I want to make myself a new pair of mittens and make progress on a lace entralac shawl I am working on.
Shawls, sweaters, tees, capes, ponchos, boleros, cardigans, ruanas, blankets, bags, jewelry,… you name it, it’s on my ever-growing queue! And I also would love to learn how to knit! The beautiful yarn in this month’s prize would go a long way to making a dent in my projects list 😉😁
I am currently starting the red velvet roses pattern and dandelion is on my list. I’m also hoping to use Chandi’s video to teach myself to knit.
I’m planning on making a sweater or two. If my work travel this year is anything like last year, I will also be making a few pairs of socks, since that’s my go to project for long haul flights.
More socks, hats & mittens! I’d also like to knit myself a cardigan🤞Thanks for another fabulous giveaway Chandi😊
Hi I wish the whole team a wonderful year ahead and thank you all for the beautiful yarn you produce it is amazing. I am about to knit an heirloom blanket for my daughter and one for my son in your fingering weight yarns. I am also making a beautiful throw for my sofa in yarn my husband purchased from yourselves I am so excited to get these projects started. I have a busy knitting year ahead but I adore the craft of knitting every day. I wish everyone a happy crafty new year and good luck wishes for the chance to win such a fantastic giveaway.
I want to make soft, comfy and warm wearables
Happy New Year! What a beautiful collection of yarns and colors in this month’s giveaway! As always.
My yarn goals this year are some stash bust projects, slipper-socks, crocheted multi-strand storage baskets and I’m working on designing a knit patchwork blanket of different stitch patterns all crocheted together. It should be fun! Oh, and I have a cardigan ready to stitch together and block before autumn.
I’ve mostly been working on crochet and the MCAL has been a great way to increase my skills! This year I want to work on my knitting skills – If the MKAL has a continuous swatch option this year I plan to use that to increase my knitting skills. Of course I’ll also be participating in the MCAL!
I’ve been building up courage (and your yarns in my stash) to knit my first tailored cardigan. I’ve done large steamed rectangles, but I really want to do a sweater/cardigan this year 🙂
One thing I’m going go to focus on is making the Crossaster pattern this year. So excited! Then catch up on the long list of projects I have in the pipeline.
I want to make more gifts … scarves, hats & mittens are always fun.
Happy New Year! Time went so fast in 2024, and my family had so much going on. I’ll be striving to make more time to do the things I want to do this year, especially knitting. Finishing projects that I’ve started and beginning new ones, too😇 I love knitting shawls, but this year want to try small, quicker projects (may socks?) Hopefully, 2025 will be slower paced to work on focusing and improving my skills…..and sitting down to knit!
Happy New Yeat Chandi & Tim! I am going to dive into my stash and pull out some of the yarn I purchased from you and knit….possibly crochet….myself a pretty new Spring cardigan! I also have a beautiful solid red lap size afghan on my knitting needles that I would love to get done before Feb. 1st. It would look lovely draped over my red/white checked living room chair for Valentine’s day decor and to brighten up the Winter blues.
I wnat to make some wearable, like socks or shawls, or a sweater. I generally only make blankets or stuffed animals, so I want to try something new this year
I have a few WIPs to finish up, then I have a few garments i want to make for myself. Love this month’s give-away selections!
I want to knit all the things! Sometimes I have yarn for a specific pattern, but it doesn’t end up syiting it, so it becomes something else!
I want to keep exploring new patterns & stitches. & to do that I’m making ALOT of hats for donation 🙂
I would love to see a pattern for a dress using EFA yarn. Other than that, more tops, sweaters, cardigans will be just perfect.
I’m trying to finish up a bunch of projects that I started in 2024! I’ve been trying to increase my skill at crochet and need to get back to Satis and Whulge. I’ve also got several knit projects started that need to be completed! I really want to start on my “Learn to Knit Your First Sweater” course that I’ve had for a long time, too!
Wow! Gorgeous yarns!! Would be thrilled to be the recipient of this amazing giveaway!! Thank you so much Chandi for all your lovely, kind, inspirational words on a daily basis! Wishing you a beautiful, healthy 2025!!
My plan is to use what I have this year. I want to make some throws, scarves, and maybe a shawl.
Year 2025 is the year of sorting through old bags of WIPs. Sort, to finish? To frog and rewind? To let go? If beautiful yarn comes into my life, I’ll try a new pattern. Also, thinking of a wrap to celebrate my MILs upcoming 80th.
I want to get back to knitting socks and knit a few sweaters.
Happy New Year! I will be making some (grand!)baby clothes!!! 💓
Hopefully I will have my first pattern to publish. I have it right now in a dreamy kid silk, but I wonder how it will look with a different kind of yarn. This yarn would be perfect.
A beautiful Rainbow of colors just waiting to be created into cozy wonderful gifts! I would love to create those gifts for family and friends. Scarves, hats, sweaters, shawls, etc. You have so many beautiful patterns to choose from. I already have a few.
Thank you for the chance!
Not projects as much as skill set. Practicing mosaic crochet and maybe trying my hand at Tunisian. Also interested in working with thread to make intricate doily art to be framed
In addition to chemo hats, this year I want to make some prayer shawls and emotional support chickens!
Last year I taught myself to knit by doing your wonderful MKAL (something I couldn’t have done without Jennifer Matlock’s very helpful tutorials, thankyou Jennifer) so this year I would like to try and knit something simple on my own. I am also fairly new to crochet and would like to try making a jumper or cardigan this year.
I want to try making a cardigan
I really want to make more garments this year. I love anything made in dk weight the drape is just unmatched.
I promised my daughter a sweater, so that’s first, followed by one for me! With hats for small projects, maybe a shawl if I get that far!
Shawls and ruanas mostly, though if I ever figure out something my nieces would like, I may expand beyond those
I’d love to make an exquisite and magnificent anything with these yarns!
I’ve always been afraid to try crocheting one of the cardigan/sweaters, mostly because I’m such a big size. I’d like to be daring and give it a try.
I plan to finish what I’ve started in the past few years. I really need to spend some time sorting and organizing my yarn and fabric so that I can have more room. Of course having time would help.
Late last year I found a big stack of old crochet pattern magazines/booklets at a garage sale, so my plans are to work my way through them. I also want to make a big blanket this year
Very hard to decide what to make, but I’ve been wanting to make a cardigan for myself. With this yarn it will look and feel amazing!
Circular blankets. I love making them so much, I want to make more!!!!
Hi Chandi. I’m hoping to make some shawls and sweaters this year
I plan to finish some WIPS (including Malay), learn to Tunisian crochet (just started last month and it is fascinating and definitely a new challenge 🙂 If I get it down, I want to crochet Almond Flowers and add it to my wardrobe. ), and I really hope to be able to do the MCAL again this year.
I have a number of projects on the go – crochet, knitting, cross stitch. I want to finish is a throw for my son’s girlfriend, which I will now be giving to her on her birthday, as I just did not have the chance to finish it before Christmas. I also want to finish off what I have started knitting before tackling something new, same with my cross stitch.
What lovely colors! I’m finishing up a beanie for my son then a jacket for the baby of one of our friends then will start on a blanket.
A sweater is always on the list to knit. This year, I want to challenge myself with a tricky construction or new technique.
Happy New year! I am so glad that I found you Chandi! You are a big inspiration to me. I have been going through some health issues and you are always positive and you help me feel better. I just love your positivity. Thank you! I have almost completed the MCAL blanket. It taught me so many new things. This year I am going to use those skills to make a sweater, some scarves and soon.
I have several different knit and crochet WIPs thatbInwould like to complete- an afghan, a couple shawls, a sweater. And I am in the process of redoing a craft space, so I want to take stock of what I have and use those things – one is a bin of beautiful EFA yarns that I’ve collected over the years! Happy new year and thank you for this opportunity to win your lovely yarn!
This year I definitely want to make cardigans, pull overs, and socks. 🙂 A lacy scarf too!
It’s so fun to read all of the comments and hear what others are working on! I’m in the same boat as others where I have a lot of projects in mind and in my stash already. However! I told myself that if I make it through enough of my stash, then I will treat myself to fingering weight yarn for Andrea Rangel’s Cat Knit pullover! And yarn to crochet some shawls!
I am hoping to finally dust off my knitting needles and give knitting a try! So many gorgeous patterns you have and you make it look so easy!
I am hoping to finally dust off my knitting needles and give knitting a try! So many gorgeous patterns you have and you make it look so easy!
I have at least 1 baby gift to make in 2025 xx I’m not sure what yet!
One of my goals this year is to learn Tunisian crochet. I was introduced to it at a workshop last summer and am intrigued by the look. Will also be welcoming a second grand niece in May so more baby projects are on the agenda.
Thank you for the opportunity to win. Oh my gosh! So much yarn, so little time ;). Sweaters, sweaters and more sweaters!!
I need to finish up my WIPs (hahaha) but then hoping to make my first wearable-one of Expression Fiber Arts shirts or sweaters
Something nice and cozy, in vibrant colors, to lift my spirits up.
Sweaters and blankets are my main goals this year. Fully finishing these items of course since sleeves are my nemesis.
Beautiful colors again! I’m planning on making the Kaleidoscope sweater and Sweetgum as my next projects. Just finished Fennmont yesterday! 🙂
Socks and sweaters!
I would love to knit/ crochet a Sontag shawl, I have not found one that I have liked yet
I am getting a new circular sock knitting machine this year, so it will be socks, sock and more socks this year as I learn to use my new toy 😊
Cardigans… I always knit sweaters, but this year I would like to add a few cardigans too
I’m planning on my first crochet sweater. I’m ready for the challenge to breakaway from scarves and shawls.
I plan on finishing the 3 blankets (2 knit and 1 crochet) which I have in progress ……. and then of course, socks, socks and more socks.
In 2025 I want to practice lace work, it is probably the only thing beyond Brioche that I have not tried. I also want to finish WIPS that have been hanging around too long. And I need to finish one of my many blankets which are progress!
More blanket and shawls!
I’m hoping to finish up the cardigan I’m working on but don’t have plans for other projects yet.
I’ll definitely be doing the MCALs and MKALs, along with trying to finish off some WIPs and any new patterns that catch my eye.
I plan to make a cabled sweater this year
My queue on Ravelry is getting out of hand but I love it! I’m hoping to get much further on the fisherman’s sweater I started for my husband last year and have MKALs, lace shawls, and hats peppered in to break up the monotony. I also want to tackle double knitting this year… I figure it can’t be too much different from brioche and I have that one down.
I really want to make myself a sweater.
Trouble is I can’t decide which pattern.
Although I am drawn to the Firebird, but also Kalidoscope.
I just need to sit down and look into the patterns.
Now the festive season is coming to an end I’m going to do just that.
I make sweaters for all my grandkids and grand nieces and nephews for Christmas as well as shawls for my friends. I’m always looking for new patterns. Thank you for sharing a new pattern every Friday.
I’m currently working on a shawl but plan to work on a few sweaters as wel
I want to finish an Afghan I started for my husband. Would also like to improve my skills in both knitting and crocheting.
Happy 2025! Another beautiful collection. Planning on making more wearables for myself and my family.
I’ve two blankets, one cardigan and three tunics I really hope to crochet, with inbetween scarves to take on easier projects 🥰
Have a wonderful 2025! And thank you for all your uplifting emails, wonderful patterns and cozy yarns! This year, I want to tackle my first lace-weight scarf/shawl and my first cardigan/sweater.
My goal for projects this year is a couple shawls and sweaters, but also to challenge myself.
I hope to make my first bolero shrug this year!
Currently looking for a stranded sweater pattern. Just finishing a shawl with yarn I got from you a few years ago. Looking forward to the Friday videos for 2025!
I have a goal to empty my yarn stash and every stitch is therapy for me right now. I’m going to let the yarn flow into whatever pattern strikes me at the moment. I am hoping to finish a fire and ice poncho that I’m making with two of your colorways.
I’m interested in making more projects that broaden my knitting skills. I am not a skilled knitter and want to be.
I’m interested in finishing various works in progress, knitting more hats for charities, and knitting myself lightweight tops and a cardigan. Thank you for this opportunity to win your beautiful yarn!
First project: finish the Fennmont sweater I re-started after my gauge went haywire. Then there is Marine I want to crochet, several skeins of sock yarn to transform, and, stepping away from fiber arts, a quilt to make for a granddaughter’s high school graduation. 2925 should be a productive year!
Hi, I want to make a blanket and a cardigan, beside finish of some WIP’s.
I actually have a couple of projects in mind for myself this year (shawl and sweater), but I also have 4 new grandchildren arriving this spring, so I will be busy with blankets and throws and hats and sweaters and …….
I want to start designing some patters this year. But I’m always working on something, shawls. Sweaters, hats. What ever calls to me.
Going to make socks!
Looking forward to stitching a baby gift for my first nephew/niece coming in March. I have crocheted for years and want to learn to knit with the vintage knitting needles I inherited from my grandmother 40 years ago.
I want to make a few more sweaters this year…love your yarn!
I forsee shawls & summer tops! 🫶
Something to keep me warm during this winter storm next week! 🙂
I’m quite new to knitting and crocheting, so I’ve only been using acrylic yarns so far. I’m excited to look into more natural and higher quality yarns and try making something more advanced! Hopefully I’ll try making a knitted sweater.
For a change, instead of shawls and blankets, it’d be nice to crochet a cardigan, dress or skirt. Getting the fit right will be a new challenge
I recently knit up a scarf that resembles stained glass and all my friends loved it. I’m going to focus this year on dramatic color combos using up my stash. I’ve gotten ahold of some challenging patterns to do so. It’s a year of challenge ahead.
I want to knit socks and crochet amigurumi this year.
What will I be making this year 🤔
Well, I have several patterns featured on your website that are on my list. Off the top of my head I’m going to say I want to make my 3rd sweet pea shawl using dolce Cashmere from hobbii. It’s a blue fade fingering weight yarn that I think will be beautiful for that wrap.
I’m planning on reworking a sweater I made myself last year so that it fits me better. Probably just going down a size.
I’d like to complete Panopeia this year and am interested in knitting a shrug or cardigan and I’d love to knit the beautifully inspired Gradient Sea shawl! 🌊🩵💙🌊
I plan on venturing into sweaters this year. First up, a cardigan for my daughter. Have so many shawls, need sweaters!
I’m going to work on my bucket list of Knit and Crochet projects. They include sweaters, cardigans, scarves and shawls. A little bit of everything.
I would like to make some new interesting shawls and also a sweater for my daughter.
What beautiful colors, if these were mine I would make prayer shawls for all the ladies in my Bible study that have become like 14 more moms to me since mine is so far away.
I would like make a blanket or two, a cardigan and a short sleeved top, for starters. Maybe even a rug.
I’m focusing on sweaters this year. 2924 was blankets, and I’m over it!
What beautiful yarns in the Giveaway! This year I would like to make a pullover sweater. I’ve knitted a few cardigans, but I would like to try something fitted.
I would love to make a blanket for myself and then a scarf and beanie to keep me warm in June when my winter is.
Well, there are a few WIPs to finish, but I’m really keen on whipping up a few single-skein projects for sale for both warmer and cooler weather. I sell knitted accessories and have recently bought a couple of batches of single skeins in Expression Fiber Arts fingering yarns with which to make these pieces. Your colours are just so gorgeous and varied. I want my customers to feel as though they’re in a sweet shop. My main business is jewellery and the same applies there too!

I’m starting this year with learning how to crochet socks, something new to challenge my brain, and who doesn’t love a fuzzy soft sock?!
I like to make shawls, but I really want to learn how to switch colors to be able to use different colors of yarn instead of just one color or one multi color yarn. I can’t figure out how to move the colors up the side without tying off and making a mess.
As has been the case for several years running, I want to focus more on knitting garments for myself.
Make more socks!!
I just learned how to do mosaic crochet, I have a few ideas running around my head and I would love more items to work with, those colours are beautiful. God bless
Hi Chandi, hope the festive season and New Year were full of fantastic new memories for you.
Well, with new beginnings one starts off with a brand new cast on, so I’ve already started a gorgeous blanket by Anna Johanna. There’s a top to be made in ‘pink’ as requested for the grandie…Miss 3 so need to get yarn for that… continue a jumper for my son, I’d like to finish a languishing WIP for myself, new cast ons, a gorgeous poncho by Meiju, 2 summer tops and at least one cardi for myself and then the last half of the year, concentrate on getting the gifts started and finished early so I’m not chasing them at the last minute.
Shawls re mt favorite thing to knit❣️Thanks for the opportunity❣️
Finishing WIP, making Christmas gifts-blankets, scarves, custom requests. Learning to knit in 2025!
Shawls, mittens, blankets. Perhaps try a temperature blanket with these great colors.
Sweaters! All the sweaters! And socks!
My first projects will be finishing up all my WIPs – going to be firm with myself this year….will not start a new project until the last one is finished. Something I would like to try this year is colourwork, probably in a sweater, so excited for that!
I want to make a sweater or a cardigan!
I want to try a new to me technique, embroidering on knitting.
I have a cardigan that I’ve just cast on and hope to finish before spring ends, and I want to finally start on a blanket I’ve been wanting to knit for a couple of years now. And possibly a beaded lace shawl or two. 🙂
I’m doing Mosaic onerlay crochet. It’s so beautiful It’s fun and just complex enough that I don’t get bored. Hugs Lady
Happy New Year! I have a few friends having babies so baby blankets are first on the agenda, then maybe some sharks using some of the scrumptious hand dyed wool I have
Sharks? SHARKS?! Gee thanks autocorrect, I meant shawls
What an absolutely beautiful giveaway!!! This year I plan on knitting a throw blanket for my new bedroom, finishing a crochet cardigan that is about 1/2 done, knitting at least 6 pairs of socks and a couple of Tee’s. Too ambitious??
I would like to finish the blanket I started last year, plus a CAL
I will be knitting a temperature blanket for the third year. Like most knitters, I have WIPs to finish, including a vest for my husband and a shrug for one of my daughters. After that, I plan to make shawls and sweaters.
This year is all about comfort projects! Anything that makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside ❤️
I want to start with projects to dress up the dining table and surrounding area!
Knitted sweaters.
I want to make socks and sweaters
Beautiful yarn! Thanks for the opportunity to win!
I look forward to continuing to make hats for charity. It is Jan. 5th and I have already completed two! I want to try some new patterns this year.
Happy days!
I think first up this year I will make a Poncho for each of my Great Granddaughters and a Shrug for myself. Happy New Year EFA.
I have way too many projects I want to do this year haha. Toques, or I guess beanies, slippers, a sweater or two. Two sweater scarfs. Two beach cover ups. Crop tops. And two dresses hahaha. I’ll be on mat leave with a newborn and a two year old this year. So, we’ll see!
I currently have 7 WIPs that I need to finish, so those are leftovers from last year. I have 2 planned Christmas presents, one of which I just received some moonbeam fingering for yesterday 🥰. I would really like to make myself a cardigan this year. I love the look of so many sweaters, but I am in that season of life in which my body temperature rapidly changes and I require layers, haha, so cardigan it is.
I have some wip’s that I hope to finish, or take apart like every other new year so we’ll see how that goes. I am also wanting to learn brioche knitting, there are so many lovely patterns out so hopefully I won’t keep putting it off and just try it. Happy New Year to all!
Wish everyone A Very Happy New Year of creativity and joy 🤩
So many projects! In 2025 I hope to make some nice baby gifts some exciting home decor and some amazing seaters for myself. I plan on working 2 projects at a time and crocheting everyday!
I always loved your yarns and colors. I just had cataract surgery and OMG the colors in the January giveaway are amazing!
I am working on a sweater now and finishing up a couple pairs of socks. After that, I don’t know what else I will make.
I want to learn to make socks this year!
I will probably be making blankets and different clothing items, that’s what I have been doing most.
I will be doing more knitting for the community. Recently joined a great group of ladies at church to make items for charities in the area.
I plan to make fingerless mitts for the ladies in my square dance club and socks for friends and myself.
I’d love to get caught up on my WIPs and make my first crochet cardigan this year, along with start & finish others crochet projects I have lined up. I just need more time to work on them.
I have so many sweater quantities that I need to knit into beautiful sweaters. I also need to just work on my stash in general. I’m running out of room!
I would love to learn to make and donate prosthetic breasts for women who have undergone breast removal due to cancer and hats for the cancer patients who have lost their hair.
I would love to crochet a cardigan or crochet a sweater.
I am interested in knitting a cardigan this year.
I had plans for lots of sweaters, but I just found out that I’m going to be a first time grandma…..so now it will be LOTS of baby items!!!
I want to make sweaters this year-I have 2,that are in progress and one that I haven’t started yet.
One of my goals for 2025 is to crochet a granny square sweater in a sport weight yarn! Plus a granny square blanket!
I have 2 gift WIP’s that I need to complete by the end of January so that I can start making more crochet wearables for myself. I love to wear the cowls and shawls that I make for myself.
I have a Tunisian Crochet project I want to work on, and a shawl to finish.
After that, who knows?
Happy New Year! I’d like to really get into crocheting as I just get confused reading patterns! So perhaps a simple shawl, to get practicing on!!
I am addicted to your yarns if you haven’t noticed…LOL. They are beautiful and so luxuriously soft. I am a cardigan girl and have a few more in mind for this year. I have never tried knitting cables. Like you I started out a crotcheter and ventured into knitting a couple years ago. Cables were a challenge I conquered in crotchet and now I want to accomplish this year in knit. I’ve been so intimidated to try but I watched one of your videos and you make it look so simple so I have a pattern off your site that I am going to try and am so excited to start. I also purchased your crushed cashmere lace in red rose. It is soooo beautiful and am trying to think of the most perfect project for it…probably just a cardigan LOL.
I will knit more cowls and shawls this year.
2025 is going to be the year of the accessory. Mittens, gloves, scarves, and wraps.
I plan to make shawls, mittens, hats, and maybe even my first sweater this year.
Many sweaters planned for this year. Socks. And I want to get a few cardigans in this year. I haven’t made a cardigan before and keep telling myself that is what I need to do next
I have never made a cardigan, so it’s on my list of projects. I also have in mind to make garments for my grandaughter. I’d like to learn and practice new knitting techniques such as brioche and mosaic. I also want to experiment with different yarn fibers and weights.
I’m planning on learning socks this year 🤞😆
I like to crochet shawls, stoles, blankets, small scarves and hats, and small ponchos, for me, and the Grandchildren.
Mostly i need to complete some woven gifts and some cross-stitch projects this year, but i think i might finally try a sweater/cardigan again. Maybe this time i can keep count/track of what im doing.
I want to try making a sweater this year! I’ve never done anything bigger than socks and shawls, but I want to try something new
Hi Chandi,
Thanks for all your knitting and crochet inspiration! In 2025, my knitting focus will be on making a sweater, mittens and experimenting with some color work projects! Happy New Year!
Oh projects…what should I do first? I have 2 baby blankets to make and and I’m ready to knit my first sweater!
Ready to start knitting cardigans for myself and granddaughters. Have been knitting prayer shawls for yers and am up for a change.
I want to make some clothing, not just accessories. I have plans, I just have to execute them. 🙂
I would like to work on little girl/toddler items and blankets
I want to knit a full dress this year, but I’m sure i’ll end up knitting more sweaters too!
I have decided to not let sweater projects intimidate me any longer! I’m going to attempt four or five over the course of the Year of the Sweater!
I have started a sweater, a shawl, and a scarf. I plan to make more knockers for donation, too. Thank you for offering this generous giveaway!
I am excited to start my mosaic crochet journey. I have seen many patterns that feature this technique, but haven’t taken the plunge yet. 2025 will be the year of new challenges and rewards.
My hope/plan for this year is to get rid of all my WIPs by either finishing or frogging all of them.
I want to finally make a sweater for myself (been making presents for family so far) and trying color work for it.
Fair Isle everything! This year I’m planning on making as many cardigans, pullovers, hats and everything in between using the Fair Isle method. So wish me luck! … 🙂
Happy New Year Chandi, Tim and EFA Team! 🎉 My first two (2) EFA projects will be #Proserpina and #Giselle using #alpacabamboo yarns. I will be focusing on: improving my gauge swatches, practicing my knitting skills and in between mixing in a few sewing projects.
I want to experiment more with pin looms!
That is a tasty pile of yarn!
This year I’d like to focus on new techniques (afterthought heels, lace, Stephen West), but I’ll also be focusing on self-care. So if the results are garter shawls and plain socks vs. fancee items, well that’s okay, too. Only so many spoons in the 2025 drawer!
I’m currently working on the Whulge crochet shawl for my mom but I’m also looking forward to making the crochet Embrasser scarf with sleeves ♥️ I’ve been wanted to have one of these for a while and this year I think I’ll make it as a treat to myself 😊 fingers crossed my kids will give me the time I need to complete it.
This year I want to make more Basics. Tees and pullovers that I can just throw on with jeans or skirts and Go without getting too caught up in styling – maybe add some nerdy colorwork because I have never met a pattern I did not want to Complicate XD
Baby items for a great grandchild expected this spring
Oh gosh, so beautiful! I’m practicing fair isle patterns right now and would love to do more with brighter colors!
I have a list of crochet and knit goals for this year that include cardigans and socks. I want to try new things in the new year and not hold myself back!
I want to crochet more wearables – my Instagram feed is so inspiring with unique looks! Maybe this is the year I make socks!
Sweaters, sweaters, sweaters! Maybe even a sweater dress! That’s what I want to concentrate on this new year. 🙂 Thanks for the giveaway!
Hallo,es sind immer wieder so schöne kostenfreie Anleitungen dabei, die ich immer wieder sehr gerne nachstricke
This year I’m only going to make what really speaks to me – LOUDLY!!
I am knitting the Sulam pattern and thoroughly enjoying it! I like rectangular shawls.
My current project is a cable knit sweater for my daughter. But what I’m more excited about is working on some lace projects as I’ve just ordered the Japanese stitch bible, to try out some new things!
Currently working on a blanket/shawl for my daughter. Then it’s going to be the year of shawls! I have a few lined up including Dashael, The Journey, Ambling Way, and a half-pi shawl!
This year I will be driving to and from Alaska and taking 5 months to do so. I will be taking LIGHT knitting projects with me like lacy shawls, and knitting charity hats to either donate along the way, or mail back to Michigan. Before I go I intend to finish two heavy shawls and a couple of shells, as well as a pair of leg warmers as I freeze driving the rig when it is cold outside.
I am three quarters of the way through the Storyteller cardigan. (13 more rows and sleeves, the pockets left). It is already so pretty and I can’t wait to block it and add it to my spring wardrobe. This year, I am hoping for a grandchild and will start a baby blanket and layette once I hear. I have made at least a dozen blankets and booties over the years for friend’s children and sister’s grandchildren. I wish to do something special for my daughter this time. Thank you for your positive words and spirit.
I want to try knitting socks two at a time this month. Good luck to all in their new ventures also 💕
2025 holds so much promise of good things to come. I have a long knitting bucket list from socks to sweaters to gnomes. Plus some UFOs to complete and a handful of items to block. Knitting always brings relaxation and I have a lot to knit, so I plan to spend this year wonderfully relaxed.
Happy New Year! I don’t know where to start with listing all I want/plan to knit this year. Hats, scarves, shawls, blankets, sweaters. Currently I’m working on knitting a gnome. First time for me and it is so fun. Januarys give away is beyond gorgeous!
I’m excited to make garments, and try to finish all my WIPs 😬😁!
I usually knit for the fun of it, and pick projects to learn new techniques, but this year I’m going to make projects with specific people in mind
I think this year I am planning on making some sleeveless tops, jumpers and cardigans. I have done quite a few blankets so I’m going to take a break from them at the moment.
I enjoy making all types of crocheted items. From garments to blankets and anything in between. I have so many different patterns and ideas in mind but just not enough time to do them all.
I am working on finishing some WIPs and not starting too many new things until I get several of these finished. Also need to catch up on my blocking. I have let that get behind, which I had said I wouldn’t do. Was pretty good keeping up for a while, but alas….Trying to get a few sweaters made and as said hit those WIP.
First of all, thank you for offering up these delights! My knitting plans this year include baby things for my first grandchild, cardigans, finishing some wips, more baby stuff, and that Xmas sweater I always remember I want – in the first week of December, when the gift knitting is in full swing …
Hello, this year I would like to improve my crochet by making a shawl and a sweater. And also knit a cardigan and a shawl.
I am interested in making a closet full of beautiful and unique cardigans,😁
I want to make some pullovers, probably some cardigans, definitely shawls.
This year I plan to make more Tops (vests, sweaters), and mosaic crochet runners (one for Halloween! and one for Spring). And I can always work on finishing the mosaic crochet bedspread wip! O, and there is a hat or two I’d like to make.
Right now, I have WIPs of two socks, a cardigan sweater, and a shawl. I have a new dog, so a dog sweater is in my future, plus six pairs of socks for Christmas 2025, more sweaters, and more shawls!
I would like to knit myself some cowls. I enjoy making a cowl using a special yarn, it’s a quick and fun project!
I am currently completing a baby blanket and also a sweater for my granddaughter. I plan more sweaters for the grand children. I want to a sweater for myself this year…I just need to find that perfect pattern!
i love to make snowflakes with thread, but when i’m not doing that, i love to make things that don’t require stitching together. i have a couple of friends for whom i would like to make gifts, so i’ll use one or two of your lovely patterns to make them shawls or wraps.
someday, i hope i’ll win one of your give-aways!!!! such beautiful yarn, and your e-mails always make me smile.
I recently learned Tunisian crochet, so I’m going to explore more projects using that and improve my skills.
I want to knit everything! Yep, I am one of those. Good thing I am basically a one project at a time gal. I would have sooo many WIP if i wasn’t. To date I mostly knit tops.
Hello….Socks are on my mind as the temps are so low…hopefully an easy pattern to start with. I love Chandi’s ideas and this website inspires me.
In 2025, I would like to crochet one donation project (like blankets for shelter dogs or hats/throws for people undergoing cancer treatment) for every beautiful wearable project I make for myself!
My resolution for 2025 is challenge my knitting and crocheting skills with advanced projects, specially with lace shawls.
I’d really like to make some sweaters. I haven’t had much luck with them in the past, but I’m going to keep trying.
I’m ready to make a summer sweater and finish two wedding blankets for soon to be new family.
I have SO many projects in my pipeline! A lot of shawls, a few hats, some cardigans and pullovers. I just want to start them all – RIGHT NOW!! 😁
I plan on making all the projects I can that have been on my to be completed list forever! I have the yarn and the patterns just need to sit down and do some crafting.
I really hope to finish most of my WIPs 🙂 but I am drooling over making some beautiful sweaters for my daughter and granddaughters…. and maybe myself!!
Last summer our 2 year old twin granddaughters began living with us half time. Our lives became very hectic, and more wonderful at the same time, but I found I had little opportunity to knit. This year I will make more time to knit, because I want them to see the magic we can achieve with strings and sticks, so that they too fall in love with yarn crafts! For me, what I will be making in the year ahead is less important than the act of creating, so that they can see the potential!
For 2025 I endeavour to finish the numerous projects I started in 2024 (and earlier)! The only problem is that I keep finding new patterns that I want to make! Lol 😂
I’m hoping to finish a few more wipsthen get an earlier start of shawls, hats, and scarves for my cold-weather family.
Wonderful selection, and all in my favorite colors
Happy New Year! Lacy shawls and sweaters are piquing my interest lately.
I’ve been depressed for a long time now. I just want to get my knitting mojo back.
Happy New Year! I am hoping to make shawls for my 2 daughters this year and maybe a blanket for my mother.
One Day, someday,I’ll win this giveaway! In the meanwhile I will be making shawls for myself and my friends and cardigans for my girls.
Oh my goodness such beautiful colors and awesome colors.. A wonderful way to start 2025 off to make so many project. Shawls wraps and so many things.
Hi! I hope all are having a wonderful start of the year. There are so many projects I would love to work on this year. Mainly, I’d like to make a mandala blanket, and make a pattern of my own.
I’m currently in a filet mode along with lap blankets and shawls.
I’ve been on a cardigan kick lately. We have to wear layers up here in Michigan, and cardigans are a great way to do it.
I am currently working on crocheting a baby afghan for my boyfriend’s niece who’s due in March. My LARGE project is to re-crochet my grandmother’s granny square afghan. She made it while she was pregnant with my mother and it had quite a bit of mouse/moth damage. It was originally 13 squares by 20 squares. After taking most of it apart, I think I have been able to salvage enough of the original squares and yarn that I can turn it back into a 12 square by 19 square afghan. While there’s no major hurry to finish it, I certainly don’t want it hanging over my head for years. So, I’m going to try to set a goal to get it finished by the end of the year. Then, if there is time and resources available, I want to finish a pair of crocheted socks I started as well as a pair of knitted socks I started. Then I can at least say I’ve done it!
Thanks again Chandi for your continued generosity! –Sending blessings from Mid-MO!
I want to make garments. I’ve only made a couple and there’s much room for improvement, lol.
Happiest New Year to you and your family. What would I do with those beautiful colours that make my heart smile? Some of the Friday free patterns which I did not know I needed until I saw them. I am in awe of all the amazing work you share with each and everyone of us. I’m still learning and a beginner, so all of it is still very intimidating. Baby steps all the way.
I’ve really been wanting to try knitting a cowl. I’ve been afraid to try it for years, but after a few years, shawls start to run together. I try to learn a new stitch every project or at least after 2. You make UT all look easy and lovely.
What do I want to work on in 2025? First, I want to finish some of the WIPs on my plate. Second, I want to untangle a couple of high value skeins of yarn that my beloved destructo-cats messed up during 2024. Then, I have a Fair Isle scarf I’d like to try out, and two sweaters, one mosaic, and one intarsia. Always looking forward to learning new things, but I’ll keep crocheting my go-to shawls. Looking forward to working some of it with you.
I am making my first shawl with advent calendar yarn!
Happy new year! I plan to learn Tunisian crochet in the new year, and to make more garment type projects in addition to the shawls I usually make.
Hi Chandi!! Happy new year!! My goal for this year is to improve my sweater making. I feel like the fit isn’t always what I want it to be, so I’d like to fix that. Also, I’d like to explore more things to do in terms of useful items around my house. Maybe a table cloth, or a table runner, or even something pretty and decorative to hang on the wall.
The list is long and varied, including sweaters, shawls, cowls, and GNOMES! Not to mention finish two sweaters and one shawl WIPs!! Wish me luck!!!
I would like to knit at least one of your beautiful scarves and a shawl or two. The yarns in the giveaway sound yummy.
This year I hope to finish the pi circle shawl I’m working on, and then use some EA yarn bought years ago to make a sweater.
There are so many things that I want to make but my first focus will be on knitting my first pullover sweater.
My plan this year is to finish or frog at least half of the WIPs I have sitting around, and to start a sweater. I’d like to make slippers for the extended family for Christmas as well, so that will probably be a crochet goal for me!
This year I am planning to make a few charity projects (blankets, winter sets (hats/scarves/mittens), soap sacks, etc) and work on some gifts for family members as well.
Working on a baby sweater for a neighbor’s son and a sweater for my youngest son who is an adult.
I’m planning to knit a cardigan and a pullover and to learn more short row techniques.
I’m planning mostly sweaters this year, excited to expand my skills with each.
Hi Chandi. This is a beautiful group of colors and yarn weights. In 2025, I want to knit cardigans, socks and one more pull over sweater as I have the yarn here waiting, ‘Silence’, buttery bulky. Have decided to use the Swell Super Bulky for a cardigan. I had to move this past year and the company I worked for was purchased by another company. Both of these events turned my life upside down. 90 percent of my stuff had to go into storage but the bins with the yarn, umbrella swift, needles, and little loom came with me. Priorities. Feeling settled enough now to knit again until the next, hopefully never, blindside comes along.
I am going to continue to work on creating shawls and gifts for those around me.
My first project is to complete the aelinn sweater. Just completed the body and top and moving onto the arms. I’m using EFA aura DK in whimsical waves and the feel of the yarn in my hands while crocheting and the stitch definition is amazing! I would like to try the MKAL this year. I’ve done the MCAL in the past and it was fun.
I really want to make some functional stuff like gloves and hats and cardigans this year. No to scarves and blankets, yes to fitted stuff!
I’m wanting to make more wearables this year! I feel like I need to expand my skill set and finally work on the EFA projects I’ve been meaning to start!
I am just getting back to knitting after an over 20 year break and am like a beginner, so much has changed. I finished a few projects in 2024. In 2025 I would like to make some summer tops.
I hope to make a few blankets, hats and cows this year!!!!! Maybe a couple of shawls also!!!
I would like to work on more intarsia projects this year.
I have recently learned to crochet cardigans and I am on a mission to make one in a variety of fibers and weights. I am addicted now. This yarn would really help me in my crochet cardigan journey. It is all so beautiful. Thank you so much for this opportunity to win such gorgeous fibers
So many projects, so little time… If I won, I would fondle the skeins for a while and let them tell me what they want to become. I could knit more socks. I can knit them, but don’t enjoy it. Friends know how much I love them if I knit them socks. I have many baby items to knit this year, So many new little people in my life. And then of course there are all the UFOs…
Wow – gorgeous colors! My favorite projects are wearables – scarves, ponchos, shawls, gloves. But this year, I am going to try my first (simple) sweater!
I have 2 baby blankets that I want to crochet (one bubba is already here, the other is due in March), and I’d love to make some dresses and shawls as well.
If I’m lucky I will get a pair of socks knitted for myself this year.
Shawls, scarves, socks, hats -all of the things! Would love to win the giveaway as birthday gift to me in February!
I would love to finally make myself a nice cardigan. I crochet & knit so either one would be nice with an oversized collar would be dreamy!
I’d like to finish at least two sweaters/tops this year.
Besides 4 blankets for wedding presents, I’d like to give a try at making a top for myself this year. I absolutely love any and all the colours you come up with they are just gorgeous. What a lovely way to start the year for one lucky person! Good Luck to All!
I am going to try to knit socks that fit this year!
I would love to make some hats because they are the easiest and most interesting thing for me to make. However, I rarely have time to knit or crochet anymore, so we’ll see if I can make anything this year! I admire all those people with kids who still find time to craft!
Hello there beautiful soul!
What a generous bounty of yarns. Thank you for giving and putting all these amazing colours together. This year I’m going to make blankets and sweaters. I’m sure there’ll be a few shawls that make there way into my creative heart too.
SOCKS, SHAWLS, AND MAYBE MY FIRST SWEATER?!
Two projects that I want to try this year are a sweater for myself and a pair of socks. I never tried making socks before.
I like your videos and plan to knit shawls with many colours and learn new stitches.
Shawls, hats & cowls. 🙂
I’m looking forward to making my first sweaters this year. I’ve always been too afraid I’ll bail halfway through to start, but I’m determined to follow through this year.
I am not sure what I will make this year. I have several started projects I need to finish first…lol, who am I kidding. I would like to make a pullover sweater. I have made cardigans but no pullovers. Thank you for the chance to win some of your gorgeous yarn.❤️🧶💚🧶🧡🧶
I have some lovely EFA yarn ordered to create your beautiful Collocation blanket this year. Just thinking about those happy colours makes me smile. Because of the inspirational patterns and yarns you release, I’m sure there will be more projects on the agenda throughout the year.
Hello Chandi,
This year I plan to finish the wips that I started last year along with many project ideas planned that keep changing every time you release a new yarn😂
Love your patterns and fibers. You are so inspiring ❤️
I’m looking forward to making my first pair of socks! I’ve been knitting for over six years and have done many large projects, but I’ve never made anything for my feet. Time to remedy that. 🙂
Happy New Year, Chandi and team! First up is completing a wip tunisian crochet graphgan. I have a long way to go, but lookin’ good so far! Learning to knit is also on my agenda this year.
I will be working on baby projects this year. My son and daughter in law just told me they are expecting their second child.
I plan to make a promised and long overdue cable sweater for my son and to make an abundance of blankets, hats and mittens to use up my cheaper yarn stash and let family and friends pick their favorites at the end of the year.
i would like to try making Blankets and hats for winter and coaster for coffee
I’m looking forward to making some shawls, and maybe a light blanket!
This year I’m making a blanket for my brother. It’s a MKAL from Cascade yarns several years ago.
Would love to make a V-neck cardigan, but I am chicken to begin without a buddy that can “Help” if I am stumped. I do not want to waste beautiful yarn.
I am on a trek to learn new techniques in knitting and crochet. I started to learn fiber arts when I was only 6 or 7. I’m about to turn 65 in a few days. Growing up surrounded by makers, I was immersed in the joy of creating, the fulfillment of giving, and the eagerness of learning. Some 60 years later, I have tasked myself with projects that teach me new skills, new techniques, new stitches. I am as excited to begin this journey as I was in childhood. How delightful and heartening to be part of a community that fosters all that those magnificent, talented ladies shared with me!
I have so many projects, I don’t know where to begin!
I have the most amazing EFA yarn wound and ready to start Ciottolo — but I really have to finish a C2C blanket first – I have about 20 rows to go and I’d rather start my sweater!
Finish a project with hand spun wool. maybe venture into jersey knitting with a child’s jersey…
My main goal for this year is to finish all started projects. There are a few blankets/shawls in there but a nice summer jumper which I’d like to finish before the summer!.
I’m really trying to make more clothing that I can wear on a day to day basis; sweaters, shirts and maybe a cardigan
I would like to make new shawl and also a new bag for me.
I would love to make more wearables this year but I also have plans to make some scarves as gifts for others, I plan to make a shawl for myself and would like to use up some of my yarn scraps making coasters! I probably won’t get all of that done, but I can dream 🙂
I would love to crochet a shawl/wrap for myself using some of these exquisite yarns and one of your many beautiful patterns.
Newly retired and just getting back into the craft. Socks, shawl, really up for anything!
My first project is to organize my projects! Then, I have a lovely pocket scarf/shawl to make for my grandmother and a scarf for a friend. I might make more yoga socks and/or cozies. I have lots of patterns and the yarn to crochet them, so I’ll let my hooks decide what’s next. 😉
Would love a very basic knit shawl for myself and granddaughter for Spring. I’m finally taking a knitting class to move me beyond knit and Purl , and introducing me to color work!! Thank you always for your generosity.
Hi Chandi and Team! Happy 2025! I am going to focus on garments this year. I am starting to feel like I am ready to learn different construction techniques. Wish me luck!
I have so many project… crochet summer top, various crocheted Christmas decorations and of course a few hats
First, those are awesome colors reminding me of Spring. This year, I want to make more wearables. Maybe do some color work.
Happy New Year Chandi! I plan on making shawls and afghans for family and friends specially for my step mom who is battling pancreatic cancer and is now always cold because of the chemo and weight loss. I know she would enjoy your beautiful colorways!!
I would love to finish all of the WIPs that I have accumulated over the past couple of years. Most of them are EFA patterns that I put down to start the NEXT EFA pattern. LOL!! I love all of the patterns you release and your yarn is scrumptious. So grateful for all you and your team do for the crafting community!!
Currently working on a stash buster design as I go loveable monster for my 3rd grandson who will be 2 in December. Older brother is 5 and his giant stuffie was a dragon. Second grandson/cousin’s giant creature was an octopus. He’s going to be a big brother in February to a baby sister and he’s 2 1/2. Love my littles so much! After this monster I have so many projects in my head to get busy on. The stuffies have been/are all crochet. But I’m an equal opportunity crafter and this is the year I want to learn knitted cables. Looking at a smaller project to learn on like a scarf or cowl.
My goal is to knit all the projects I have yarn for so I can hurry up and buy more yarn!! Well if I’m honest, I will still find a reason to buy more yarn lol. I have 3 pullovers in my queue plus a sort of cardigan (not counting my WIPs)….Then I want to knit your Kaleidoscope pattern!
Happy New Year to the EFA family. In 2025 I would like to do several cardigans and sweaters. I have my sights on Balmy, Rubato and Aravis patterns. I also hope to crank out some of your amazing short-sleeve tops including Proserpina and Pregueado. Your scrumptious Beacon DK has become my new fave, having used it for a Meltage poncho/sweater, and I’m hoping to use that as well as my old faves—Moongleam and Oasis Fingering—for most of these projects. Thank you for your constant inspiration, both for knitting projects and for the soul.
I want to try making a cardigan
2025 is the year for ME. I plan on making all the things I want instead of giving my finished pieces away. (Although I will probably end up giving them all away, as usual. But this is my plan.)
I’d like to complete a sweater this year. Most of what I make for myself is hats and shawls. A wearable that I can use all day would be nice.
Shawl, shawls and more shawls!
I retired last year but spent a year dealing with health issues. However, I have been blessed with resolving those issues and healing. I am so anxious to get back to my love of fiber arts. My resolution for 2025 is to deep dive into my fiber stash and reduce the backlog! Right now, I am spinning and weaving. I LOVE it!!!! As I design my weaving patterns, I find I need just the right color/weight of yarns that do not necessarily reside in my stash. So, stash reduction is “slower” than I envisioned. But that is OK. I can handle acquiring more fibery things.
I am always up for knitting another shawl.
These yarns look delicious! Hope I win. I lost a lot of weight last year, so I’m hoping to make some sweaters that will fit!
I love using your yarns for lace shawls. I usually have several projects going at the same time. Just cast on something different – an Aran pattern sweater. I haven’t made one in years. When that starts stressing me out, I’ll go back to the shawls and perhaps some mitts or a hat or two.
I want to make shawls ( warm ones) for two friends and other gifts this year. Plus maybe something big, like a sweater, for myself. It’s time for bigger projects.
I am almost finished with a sweater made out of Oasis fingering and it has been such a wonderful knitting project. My Mom, the sweater recipient, is over-the-moon thrilled because of the way it looks and feels. I would love to win this give away but honestly, any time I knit with Expression Fiber Yarn, I feel like a winner. This is why I knit- to feel like this and to feel proud and happy with what I make. Win or lose, this yarn has a permanent place in my heart and my yarn cabinet.
I’m planning on finishing up a blanket I’ve already started and making a hooded scarf. After that I’ll just make whatever inspires me.
I would love to make anything with this beautiful yarn! I’m hoping to make a bedspread for myself this year, I’m also making one for my niece for her first year in college.
This year, I would like to make a shawl for me. I have made several shawls over the last 10 years, and only one of them was for me, and it is really just a wrap. I have tried to make a shawl for myself twice in the last two years, both with hand-dyed yarn in lovely colors, but about 4-6 inches into it, I found a hole. So, a-frogging I went. I hope THIS year, I will succeed. LOTS of lifelines, for sure.
I’m planning on making more clothing. I made a crochet pullover sweater that just wasn’t sized quite right. So, this coming year I really wanted to work on garment creation and getting the correct gauge. I have only been doing crochet for about a year but have fallen in love with it and don’t see myself leaving this hobby behind. It’s too fun to learn and you can make beautiful and useful things.
Excited to knit, crochet, and weave shawls this year. Also continue to knitting everyday tops and sweaters.
I plan to make my first sweater this year.
I owe my husband a sweater, and have a couple sweaters to finish for me. If sizing/gauge works well for these I can make some goodies for other family members.
I want to knit more for my family, sweaters and socks.
Hello and Happy New Year to you all! I was very proud of the socks, hats, and colorwork mittens that I made and gifted for Christmas last year. This year, I’d like to make myself a sweater, a cardigan, and a new hat and mittens set for next winter! I’d be overjoyed if I get to do so with the beautiful yarns included in this giveaway! ❤️
I would like to knit a sweater for me this year.
I’m looking forward to downsize my stash quite a bit. Mostly it’s going to be wearables (T-Shirts, Sweaters, Cardigans…), I think. My to do list on those is quite long…
Super wishes for the new year!!
I have so many projects in mind, but I will prioritize some for my kiddos – some clothes and toys for them <3
Sweater finally completed, so I will probably attempt some simpler items – perhaps a scarf/shawl or a vest.
Baby items for my new grandson!
I have plans for a sweater, cardigan, socks, hats, shawl, and probably scarf and mitts.
I have plans for many items such as sweaters, socks, hats, shawl/scarf – all the things!
I have a sweater in progress that I want to finish, the 2024 try-something-new-and-difficult project, and am waiting for some Brilliant light yarn that I’m so exited to get my hands on, but haven’t decided what to make of yet, but am thinking some type of shawl.
And hopefully lots of shawls!
I quilt, knit, cross stitch so I should have plenty to finish but I’ve been eyeing and watching rug making old style. I’m thinking I may take a leap and give it a try this year.
I’d like to knit and crochet more garments this year for my family.
I am interested in making lots af shawls, and also cardigans and sweaters this year.
I finally started knitting! The wonderful ladies at my LYS suggested some needles I had never tried before and I love them! They’re wood and I haven’t had any issues with the yarn slipping off the ends. So I’m interested in knitting some of the beautiful patterns I have from you! Now to just get the perfect yarn…*wink*
I am thinking several concepts shawls for a Spring event, socks for walks several ideas are arriving at the same time oh what promises ones yarn says…
I plan to make some sweaters and cardigans this year! I’ve only been crocheting and knitting since COVID, and would never make a garment until I lost weight and am happy with my size. Well the time is now!!
I’ve got a couple afagans to be made and I’m really itching to try my hand at a couple sweaters and shirts. Ideally, I’d like to relocate and finish all my half forgotten WIPs that have disappeared into my storage totes too.
I’m very hopeful that I will get to make something for myself this year.. I’m a giver, and it is oh so hard not to find that what I have made just belongs to a friend or family member. It’s high time I keep even just 1 thing for myself 🙂 So that’s the plan!
I’m making a graphgan for my son and doing a year long project challenge with various makes just to do something different and one of those is a baby blanket for a nephew being born this year 🙂
I hope to do some colorwork and more garments.
Baby things. My sister is having a baby this year and I am so excited!!
I’m learning to crochet, so my goal this year is to crochet a granny blanket.
I have quite a few sweaters, tops, hats in my queue that I’m anxious to complete. I also have plans for a couple of shawls and sweaters for knitworthy friends and family.
I’m interested (for the first time ever haha) in making some crochet blankets! I usually don’t have the patience for longer projects but I’m feeling the need to slow down and work on some more meditative makes – especially since I have a baby due soon!
Hi Chandi
First, I want to say is I think you are so elegant. I want to make more shawls or wraps this year. I also make a lot of hats and slippers for my kids and grandkids, so that will be fun too. Matching hats, scarf, and mittens are also nice.
This year I am working on improving my knitting skills, and keeping my WIP count manageable!
It sounds unbelievable, but the only thing I have planned for 2025 is a baby blanket for my DD’s friend. I also would like to do another overlay mosaic crochet piece. This giveaway is wonderful!!
Hello there~! I hope you have had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Regarding the projects I’m interested in making this 2025, I have to admit that some of them (a kimono or yukata, a Twice T T denim dress and a Cheongsam dress) are a bit tricky.. Why is that so? Because there are very few patterns to aid those of us who are eager to create such unique items. Back to the projects I have in mind for this year, I would seriously love to crochet or free-hand a dragonfly winged shawl/hooded cape inspired by @owlyjules..
I want to make a sweater for my friend and a couple of shawls for myself. And I’m not sure what I’d make with it, but I want to make something with a fair isle pattern of some sort!
Wearanles for me! Sweaters, tops, skirts, et.
More sweaters for family! and a granny square blanket.
I have a few wips to finish, and I want to make an afghan for my sister.
Gosh. I’ve been a long time knitter and I’m considering taking up crochet as well! Considering the MCAL. I find the video tutorials very easy to watch, however my left handedness is becoming an issue when I pick up yarn and tools to give it a try. Does anyone have good tips for lefties?
I’m looking to create new patterns for socks and accessories!
The answer here depends on if my sight is fully restored in my left eye. So I guess the goal I need is to fall in love with bulky yarn. I have made a few items with bulky but love the texture of the finer yarns. Meanwhile I will remain positive that MDA wet will improve. Recommend to all to take your eye vitamins.
Take care and stay warm!
I hope it will! 💜
I’m hoping to complete (or frog) some languishing WIPs this year…not to mention work down my ample stash.
Also need to find great patterns for a couple gorgeous gradient advents I have.
I’d love to finish a pile of well-rested projects and also make some pretty and comfortable socks. however, if this selection of beautiful yarn chooses to come here to live, I may have to listen to it and create something amazing. I’ve been making a lot of hats this year past and shawls the years before. I guess that I’ve made some warm friendships. Here’s to many more.
I’m slowly working on getting my knitting mojo back. I slowly lost interest in knitting, and found nothing I knitted worked out — the instructions didn’tmake sense, or the yarn felt funny, or something else kept any progress from happening. and I’m slowly coming back now, knitting a bit most days.
happy new year! my b’day month!
i have a few shawl wips to finish and after that i’d like to challenge myself with a cardigan, sweater or a blanket this year.
I would love to finally make a cropped cardigan this year!
I would like to finish the projects I am working on, and then I plan on making a blanket using just leftover yarn (cleaning out that yarn stash), and I’m sure I’ll think of other things;) also I would like to try the MCAL this year so fingers crossed!
I’m working on 2 ruana’s, 3 shawls, and a couple of keep warm sets consisting of a hat, scarf, and fingerless gloves for a nephew and his girlfriend. We live in the South, and they’re moving to Minneapolis for work. They’re going to freeze. At least this aunty thinks so. lol
Interested in finishing my first pair of gloves.
Planning lots of small projects that that travel well and work up on circular needles – gloves, hats and cowls.
I’ll be working on the MKAL and MCAL as well as blankets sweaters and whatever catches my eye.
This year I’m doing a temperature blanket for the first time, but I’m also focusing on making sweater, after a year of shawls.
I want to practice my knitting more…..
My goal is to make a few blankets (crochet, maybe knit too…) and finish the knit sweater I’ve been working on. Also beanie hats, can never make too many hats… 🙂
I’m interested in trying my first pair of calf-length socks. I’ve only made one pair of ankle socks before, so I’m excited for the challenge
I’m being very adventurous this year 😅 I’m trying mohair and a corner to corner crochet project for the first time. I’m almost done with a shawl made with 100% rayon. I’m so excited!
Hi Chandi, for 2025, I definitely need a cardigan for office. And I plan socks, lots of socks 🙂 Then there are the bags with the UFOs, but no UFO can beat the thrill of starting a new project. I will never run of UFOs this way…
I am using up a yarn stash accumulated by me and a bit from my mom from the 80’s and 90’s. Now retired, I am mostly trying to find projects that make sense with this yarn. Inspired by the “12 days of cast on”, I am spending January doing the swatching and project math to set myself up for projects for at least the next 6 months, including a colour block top in fuschia and royal blue, a cable and lace cardigan in natural worsted 2-ply wool, a double knit jacquard tea cozy in hand dyed wool from Uruguay, a diagonal knit cushion to use of scraps of acrylic leftover from babyknitting, and a pair of socks from a 1970’s beehive sock book with an alladin heel and toe.
Hello Chandi, I love all your patterns. I actually made the Embrasser for my DIL for Christmas but used a slightly heavier yarn than the pattern called for. It still came out beautifully. Your directions were perfectly written and easy to follow. I would like to make another one using the correct weight of yarn for a softer look. I am going to be a first time grandma this year so I am thinking of trying to make some baby toys/stuffed animals. I would also love to try my hand at a lovely cardigan, socks, gloves or mittens and of course baby blankets! Thank you for your wonderful emails and beautiful encouraging words.
I’m finishing up a prayer shawl for a friend. Then I’m hoping to finally learn color work this year.
I would love to knit some new sweaters from a knitting book that I got as Christmas present😊
I think I’m gonna try out some new to me technique. Maybe something brioche….
Hi Chandi:
I am continuing a cardigan from your pattern called Cittolo. I loved that patter so much, this is the second one I am making with a different yarn. I would like to make a big blanket made with different patterns and colours of granny squares this year. Thank you for the giveaway which I am sure how the winner will be gratified with a joyful event.
All the best in the 2025 for you and your lovely team!
❤️ Tammy

My sister is now pregnant and I’m going to make 3 lovey blankets for my future niece/nephew. 🙂
In the pregnancy theme which is baby Groot from the movie franchise ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’.
Hi! Such a lovely giveaway! I do love all things fiber and starting day dreaming about all the lovely creations. I’m working on a Shima sweater, and a pair of socks a month in the Sox-A-Long 2025 on Ravelry.
I just want to keep making. Maybe do some more cable work.
Your photographs are always stunning!
My son is getting married this summer and I plan on knitting a wedding shawl for the bride. Something in palest of pinks.
Love making wraps and shawls. Hope to make a sweater!
My biggest goal is to finish some wip – 4 dresses at the moment 🙈 wish me luck 😅 but I love the process and nothing else matters 💜
I would love to try some new yarns, just started to discover how many producers exist 😅
Currently working on a tie. A beanie or two, some fingerless gloves. There are some sewing projects in the mix as well…
Trying to work out if my comfort zone this year to learn new crochet and knitting stitches and techniques. Also trying to incorporate more hand dyed yarn. Working on a knitted cowl, blanket MKAL and the Connote MCAL
I’ve really been enjoying making sweaters lately, currently down to the trim on Balmy. I keep saying that someday I’ll try my hand at making socks, but so far I haven’t. Maybe that would be a project for when the weather is warm and I don’t want a pile of knitting on my lap.
This year is going to be all about me!
My favourite thing to knit are shawls, but what I’m really looking for is a long hooded cape, or even a waist length cape which I could add length to. Ideally it would have armhole slits. I’ve been searching for the ideal thing for a long time. I looked at Janica’s Lampy pattern but I’d struggle to add a hood and length with the nature of the short row wedges.
Anyway thank you as always for the constant warmth and love you radiate every day. I simply adore your community of lovely crafters and designers.
I want to branch out to try Tunisian crochet and knitting this year, in addition to my usual crochet.
My 2025 crochet projects include a new blanket for my husband, a few shawls and cowl that covers your head, neck and face. I received new crochet books for the holidays. I want to make a few new patterns. Thank you.
So many new projects to try! I want to perfect my first cardigan; tried it with one yarn but not a good ‘drapey’ feel so onto another project it is!
So many things I want to make this year. But I’m trying to find a cute and simple pattern to do those fingerless mittens. You know, the ones that are like, fingerless gloves but then have a mitten flap on them so that you can cover and uncover your fingertips as needed. Yeah, those. I want to make like five pairs. Just have to find a beautiful and easy pattern.
I want to try my first crochet top-down sweater. There are some very nicce pattern in your portfolio, Chandi. And with the help of your videos I will make it.
Expression Fiber Arts is the best company!!!!
I have many friends expecting new babies this year! I hope to finish some blankets in time for the baby showers!
I ve been wanting to try socks. That’s one thing I have never tried.
I’m making clothes for myself at the beginning of this year. I also crochet and knit for charity. I’ll probably also knit or crochet a few pieces for my daughters at some point this year. It’s gonna be a great 2025!
A colorful scrumptious blanket for the next Southern Louisiana sneaux storm.
I’m hoping to knit more sweaters in 2025 and two at a time socks!
Absolutely beautiful yarn. Planning on making shawls, scarfs, socks and maybe try my hand at gloves
Working on a scarf that I hope to mail by the end of the week. Then my plan is to start one of your shawls with the yarn I purchased to go with it. My plan is to knit or crochet at least 15 minutes daily.
I am focusing on improving my colorwork. Excited for my first project, a Cowl.
I’m having my first baby in April…I’m just dying to knit and crochet all kinds of adorable cuddly things <3
I want to knit more sweaters for me and my family.
Granny square fall midi jacket!
I want to make really practical wearables for all seasons, and some fun amigurumi when I’m ready for a lighter project. 🙂
I made a lot of wraps and shawls in 2024, for some reason I see the same in 2025. I should probably branch out 😂
More hats, cowls & shawls, I’m sure. Probably a sweater or two.
I’m a beginner knitter and just started dabbling in natural fibers. Hoping to make a sweater!!
I’m a rather new crocheter, just finishing my third sweater.
I want to make anything wearable.
By the way, I confuse. I saw this gift away from IG which posted 12min ago but the blog mentioned Winner will be chosen random “IN EARLY FEBRUARY”. I’m I at the right track ?
