It’s Christmas day and my family and I are all snuggled in our comfy chairs eating a gourmet Christmas breakfast, made by my niece! We even had strawberry cremosas. YUM!
I’m so happy to have such a beautiful, wonderful family. We even have a new addition this year; Nala! Tinkerbell now has a sister!
They wish you a very Merry Christmas!
This Christmas has been different for me than previous ones.
It seems that I usually expect the day itself to bring happiness and then find disappointment when it doesn’t.
This year, I’ve really come to a place where I love myself and get up each morning and look in the mirror and speak positive affirmations and ask that I be a joy to others on this day.
When you really learn to love and adore yourself (every PART of yourself, inside and out) and know that you are LOVE wrapped in physical form, everything else falls into place.
You suddenly love and accept others so much more. You feel a peace you didn’t have before… because instead of constantly worrying, or feeling fear or having regret over the past or berating yourself for decisions, you know that you love yourself SO much that you will not allow yourself to slip into those negative feelings. They don’t serve you and in truth, are false. They’re not even reality; just constructs we have in our minds.
The only truth is that you are LOVE!
I hope you enjoy this beautiful Christmas day, whether alone or with family.
This coming year can be anything we decide… I’m so grateful for life and love and family and friends and hope and peace in my heart and joy bubbling up.
Thanks for reading and know no matter where you are, who your with or how you currently feel, life is a cornucopia of delights (even if you can’t feel it right now) and together we’re going to have an amazing new year!
Blessings to you from me….
XOXOXO ~Chandi
P.S. Appropriate for the day, I’m crocheting a red and green artsy scarf pattern! More info soon!
Wishing you and your family all of the joy that this Holiday Season holds. Let’s all resolve to carry the goodwill with us, into the New Year.
Joy to the World!
Hope you had a great Christmas as we did.Have a great New Year and i am looking forward to next year to see what new yarn you bring. Whats that yarn in this picture.Looks nice.HAPPY NEW YEAR to all
Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Life may not always go the way you had hoped, or taken the turn you wanted to take, but that’s all part of the journey. As Chandi said, you must love yourself. You cannot truly love someone else if you don’t love yourself. And once you start getting up in the morning and choosing your attitude before your feet hit the floor you’ll see just how wonderful the new year will truly be.
I wish all of you everything you need, it may not be everything you want, but if your needs are met you’re way ahead of the game.
Love to you all!
Diane
Chandi, thank you for sharing some of your Christmas day with us. Ours was quiet, as it is the first without my elderly father, but it has some new charm as we had our 2 year-old grandnephew who was the life of the party! I look forward to new wool and inspiration from you in the new year. All the best to you and yours!
The day has been fabulous. My family is spread out, so last week we all got together for a late Hanukkah and early Christmas. It was wonderful being with my children and grand children. It’s what the holidays are all about. Last night for Christmas got together with friend and saw the Christmas lights and had an early dinner and whated a movie (Argo). Today talked to all, Family and Friends and have a few friends coming to dinner and whating another movie. Very relaxing…of course I will be working on my Hitchiker scarf/and or/ a crocheted blanket for my niece that she has requested. I’m also working on the Cowgirl neckerchief. Looking forward to working on the on you posted yesterday ‘Artful Simple Scarf…just have to decide on the yarn…A very Merry Christmas and a very healthy, safe New Year to you and yours Chandi…I always look so forward to your posts, Sue
