I lost both my son’s and knitting was the only thing that save my life one was 38 and the youngest 34 two years apart so thank you for helping me knit
I lost my 39 yr old daughter (and my mind) I was recovering from cancer. I crochet and not very well. But it did help with my thoughts, I didn’t cry as much and for the chemo brain it is excellent to help overcome alot of that mess too !

You can definitely check out easy.com for roving, which is what I used to make this rug. Another place to search is your local yarn shop or google. : )
Hi Chandi! I just want to thank you. I learned to crochet when I was a little girl too, but only how to chain, which lasted through one ball of baby yarn. A few years ago, at age 33, I picked up a ball of yarn, a crochet hook and my iPad. A few minutes later, I was learning to connect those chains together from this cute, fun spirited young woman on Expression Fiber Arts YouTube! You later taught me to knit as well! My mom tried to teach me to knit when I was 10–I did it for awhile, but then put it down and didn’t pick it back up again until this year (26 years later), while I was on mat leave. I’ve found that I’m allergic to every natural fiber I try! Wool, alpaca, llama – all of them! What do you recommend I use in place of a worsted wool when I’m making a sweater?
I would try plant fibers like cotton and linen. If those don’t work for you, then man-made fibers it is… acrylic, etc.

I came across your tutorial video when I was searching for knitted ponchos. I fell in love. It is so elegant and stood out amongst the hundreds of videos I see YouTube. I’ve fallen in love with your yarns collections. So far I have not seen it’s equal in the typical online stores that I have been directed stores.
I am also a beginner and getting to know what types of yarns work best for my projects. I favor yarns that feel like merino, cashmere and wool, but have yet to find any machine washable types of the former until now.
I will enjoy starting one of your projects soon 😉
