Hey, lovely!
You are in for a treat today. Our amazing Jane Vanselous has designed a gorgeous crochet triangle shawl pattern for you – Trillium – and it is something else. We are all smitten with it. What do you think?

Inspired by trillium flowers, the freshness of spring, new flowers blooming forth, soft breezes! It really resembles that time of year when winter gives way to spring. Love it. Gorg!

We used our Trillium Hues Allure Silk Fingering yarn (100% silk) to make this – a little over 1000 yards were used for the sample shown. If that’s out of stock when you click over, feel free to request it!

We also filmed a video for you today showing how to work a dc3tog (double crochet three together) stitch and a crochet spike.

Advanced beginners can totally make this pattern so have a whirl!

“I can still bring into my body the joy I felt at seeing the first trillium of spring, which seemed to be telling me, “Never give up hope, spring will come.” – Jessica Stern
That peacock shawl is so beautiful I must make it
Am just about to start Row 39 and my excitement cannot be contained!! Am substituting my Sakura pearlescent fingering yarns so mine will be different but the pattern is lovely and the yarn is lovely so all will be right with the world if I don’t mess up
I am just about finished with the Trillium shawl and loving it. However, the yardage needed is understated. Instructions say approximately 200 yards. My skeins were 220 yards and 5 of the 6 colors were short yardage. I would suggest getting 250 yards or more.
I am on row 119, I am enjoying this pattern for sure, but am so frustrated that all of my yarn in the suggested this will work for this pattern is not enough. I am short on all of the colors and am ready to stop in frustration. I will not order yarn again that is recommended for a pattern. So upset as this yarn was a splurge for me and now it is just a mess.
Hi Julie,
I’m very sorry you’re struggling with this pattern.
Have you checked if you’re tension corresponds to the tension given in the pattern with a swatch? You should have enough yardage if you gauge matches but if you’re crocheting looser you will run out of yarn since the original sample used almost all of the given yardage in the kit.
Again, I’m very sorry about this. You’re welcome to email us with further concerns via the contact form at https://www.expressionfiberarts.com/contact-us/
Have a nice day! – Johanna 💕
Too cute. Will make it. Well-done chandi!
