Last year I crocheted 1 hat, 1 baby blanket, 2 pairs of book cuffs, 1 pullover swester. 1 cardigan , and designed my first piece, a shawl. This year I’m looking forward to making a ligjt weight, summer cardigan and learning to knit…I’m thinking I’ll try a simple shawl.
First of all, love your yarns, Chandi! You are such a bright, happy, beautiful soul. Thank you for sharing your life’s passion with us all! In 2019 I finished 7 projects. One scarf for my husband. He even picked out the yarn! A cowl for my sister that I called the Random Cowl since I used several different stitches and patterns, a cowl for my mother that I called the sweater cowl since the while thing looked like the bottom of a sweater, and 4 dishcloths. I had a blast making all of them! I am looking forward to all the projects 2020 will bring.
All beautiful yarn. I wish I could afford that much yarn. What I made this year was my 1st knit poncho. I crocheted about 20 hats. 6 crochet shawls, 4 crochet scarfs 2 crochet headbands. 5 crochet flowers, Thanks to expression fiber art patterns I will be knitting more this year. I will be practicing the magic loop. Thanks for the videos.
I completed 10
what I knitted last year was some socks, slippers galore, lol, and cowls. I have a drawer full of cowls, in lots of colors as wear one diff. almost every time I go somewhere lol. I also made some fingerless for daughter and my sons wife. That’s about all I did. So love to knit it’s unreal. I learned to knit by myself, reading books of stitches and went from there lol.
About 20 maybe 😊
How lovely and generous your giveaways are! Last year I was able to get 2 baby sweaters for my new grandbaby and nephew, 1 cardigan for my mom, and quite a few dish cloths for myself and a few other family members done. I was quite happy to have an existing stash after getting let go from my job! Thank goodness because I need my knitting now more than ever! I am looking forward to having a better year this year and I hope the same for you and everyone to have a wonderful year this year! Bless you for the wonderful person you are, I look forward to your emails as they always make me feel hopeful! ❤
Beautiful yarn! Will one winner really win all of that? If so, that’s amazing 😉! Last year I knitted 11 pair of socks for myself, family and friends, two warm sweaters for my trip to Denver as well as a beautiful cowl and a shawl.
I started 3 still on needles and finished 2. Slow is my middle name (plus I don’t always knit everyday because I get squirreled easily.😂😂
I completed around 4-5 projects last year. My baby is almost 3 now and I am hoping to find more time for my hobby in 2020
Wow to read all the beautiful things people made. Made baby blankets, hats, headbands to keep out the cold for friends and tons of scrubbies to give away
After a number of years in hiding, my knitting me decided to come out in October. I knitted a shawl for my sister and a scarf for my son. This year i plan to knit/crochet several shawls and hats, scarfs and mitts. I am already preparing my gift list for next Christmas!
I have just started again In November after a longer than expected break. I was a bit rusty starting off, so I was only able to get a baby hat and an infinity scarf completed in 2019. I am currently working on a shawl. After this project, I am going to teach myself to knit. Have no idea what I am going to make however, so it may be just a bunch of swatches until I get the feel. Wish me luck!
I made a lace shawl, my first ever in *gasp* navy blue. I also made a baby sweater, some socks, 6 tiny gnomes, a hat and cowl set, and 1 slipper. We’ll just sweep the UFOs under the also unfinished kitchen rug.
During 2019 I crocheted 2 baby blankets and I afghan size throw. I hope to try clothing this year
I made too many things to remember, but notably i made a cat plushy, a hat with constellations on it, a bunny peep plushy, a rug, and a blanket!
I made 12 projects in 2019. Considering 2019 was also a process of teaching myself to knit from library books and basic tutorials, I was proud to average a project a month! I made mostly scarves and cowls, but as a birthday present to myself, I enrolled in a KAL to learn how to make a sweater. My skills are making gradual progress, and I hope to add to my techniques and project variety throughout 2020!
I made a couple prayer shawls, two hats and cowels. Continued working on blankets! Thank you! Your messages are always so uplifting!
2 and 3/4 afghans, 1 Butterfly/Papillon shawl, 3 Casapinka shawls, 2 slippers but not a pair, 1 cardigan. Severalllllllll gave it a try pieces, consider them done as frustration won & I gave up. May return to them once I’ve enhanced my skills. BeAuTiFuL giveaway. Thank you for the opportunity. Good luck everyone
Last year I completed 18 knitted projects and 17 crocheted projects. I never dreamed I made that many until I counted them.
Last year I didn’t knit anything because I was taking care of my sick husband. He has since passed away and I am looking for things to fill my time. My sister taught me to knit many years ago and I did a lot of it but then I’ve got too busy. I plan on picking it up again and eating a lot this year. Christmas gifts for my grandkids for sure! I would love to win this giveaway to get me started.
The wearable things I made in bobbin lace are a triangular shawl prototype designed by a very lovely German designer and a scarf by her, too.
I finished three cardigans this year for myself, one which I designed myself, one I made from some lovely dewy dk yarn in bright spring colours and the last from yarn my sister gave me.i finished a couple of shawls and over two dozen doilies in two months. I’ve made numerous pairs of fingerless gloves for my sister for her job and for my friends for Christmas. I designed a hat and scarf to match the pattern of the gloves out of yarn I received for my birthday. I finished the year by making two pairs of crocheted socks out of sock yarn my sister gave me for my birthday. They are not perfect and too cute to wear but I’m proud of my accomplishments. I may have made some baby booties too…I think.
I crocheted 2 throws, knitted a shawl, am finishing up a temperature scarf(knitted) for last year, did a giraffe and a frog 🐸 purse commission, and am knitting a papillon shawl out of your beautiful yarn!
My crochet projects were, two blankets, one was for a friend who just lost her husband to cancer, three hats, four placemats using raffia that was an experience! One Christmas stockings, one cowl and one knitted cowl.
Oh and I made my new niece a purple Selena Quintanilla jumpsuit with headband
Socks, socks and more socks! Now a sweater… and a pair of socks. 🧶
In total I made about 8 projects over the course of 2019. I gave all but one away. The last one left, is a shawl for a petite owner, but I don’t know who yet.
I have made many things in the year 2019. I am looking forward to the same this year. Knitting seems to help keep me grounded and I love giving things I knit to my friends and family as surprises in the mail through out the year I love knitting hats and socks. Looking forward to trying some of your beautiful yarns this year. Happy knitting 2020 everyone.
I have made several shawls, scarves, table runners, simple things, but completed. Recently retired, so now I have a little more free time to complete projects. This months giveaway I am in awe of the colors. Definitely, one of my favorites to date
Made one hat, 80% of a sweater, 2 shawls, 1.5 cowls… wish I had more time to knit more. Next year’s goals are 12 beanies!
Oh goodness, I will try to go backwards. From Nov. 21 to 6:45 am Christmas day (spent 36 hrs finishing last project), I crocheted 4 pair of dragon scale gloves, 10 ear warmer headbands, a stuffed penguin, and a stuffed Bambi. Throughout the year I knitted 8 comfort dolls and one bunny. There were multiple unfinished projects. The beginning of the year I knitted my first knit project, a sampler afghan. I also knitted a two needle fairaisle stocking.
I have completed around 30 projects in 2019. The closest to my heart are the Peppa pig plushie and a dress for my daughter, swimsuits for me and a granny doll for my mom. I’m looking forward for 2020 as I already have an eye on a lot of projects I want to add to my collection.
Most welcome accomplishments in 2019? Four cable hats out of same yarn … one each of two patterns as written; two of a mixture of both patterns; fun and educational. Also, seven hats (and one cowl) knit all the same pattern but adapted for seven different weights and fibers (including handspun) … a thoroughly fascinating experience.
I made some lovely hand knit Christmas gifts for my mother in 2019…….she “hinted” around about new finger less mitts from Santa, sooooooooooooo…..”Mrs. Claus” knit up a new pair with matching hat and a long knitted cowl type scarf….matching set and she loved it! Mrs. Claus also knit up a pair of finger less mitts for in her daughters stocking. Still working on my mitered square afghan and it is taking a very long time as it is being worked with size 1 dpns….all fingering wt. yarn……..MANY purchased from the awesome gal who runs this site….(I wonder who that could be?????…..hee hee hee). I also knit up a pair of Rose City Roller socks for each of my gal cousins for Christmas! I would have knit more, but I was also very busy with quilting, machine embroidery, wool applique, and much more!!! LOL Happy New Year!
I knitted my first baby blanket, and also kitted 3 warm winter beanies! They were all a lot if fun😁
I made seven pairs of baby socks, one with a matching hat, two adult hats, two shawls, six pairs adult socks, multiple crocheted snowflakes, and a quilted Christmas tree skirt. And most of a crocheted blanket.
Once again, you’ve chosen a downright delicious assortment for the giveaway! Thank you for your generosity, Chandi!
All those lovely people above put me to shame, I am only just starting a little knitted nest for all the wildlife being rescued in our dreadful fires. (It was not a good year last year 2019). I am determined to make 2020 a better year.
Reading Chandi’s messages certainly help she is such a positive fabulous person!
As always the colors are so radiant and beautiful. At the moment I am making the Tamsyn. I love to work with the Alpaca Silk DK it is so very soft and beautiful to wear.
Loving that hot pink!
Last year I knitted three sweaters, about 20 hats and scarves for charity and about a half dozen hats and headbands for my grandson and daughter. I hope to finish four sweaters that I have on my needles as we start 2020 and I plan to knit from my extensive stash this year.
Let me think…slippers knit for my four sisters for Christmas, scarf for a friend’s birthday, 2 triangle scarves for me, and I started some toe-up socks (which are “on hold” due to frustration). Hoping to do the Palette scarf when the yarn becomes available.
Your yarn color ways are awesome! The colors are so deep and vivid. Your naming process is such great brain food. It makes you look at things deeper as well as from a new perspective. Thanks!
Last year I knitted five items, a baby blanket, two infinity scarves, and two cowl. I am looking forward to a future project very soon to knit a wrap, with vibrant colors!
I can’t remember everything I made during the year. I belong to a Shawl Ministry at the Medstar Washington Cancer Institute. We make prayer shawls for chemo patients. I’ve also completed projects for babies; hats, buntings, bibs, and blankets. There were hats & scarves and other shawls made as gifts. My favorite project was an advent calendar.
I knit 5 sweaters, 2 beaded cowls, 3 beaded necklaces, 3 children’s dresses, and I’m crocheting a blanket which I didn’t finish yet! I’ve knit numerous scarves for charity.
I knit 5 sweaters, 2 beaded cowls, 3 beaded necklaces, 3 children’s dresses, and I’m crocheting a blanket which I didn’t finish yet! I’ve knit numerous scarves for the homeless. They get hung on fences in the center of town and anyone who wants them can take them
Last year, I knitted my first pair of socks (Yay!), numerous hats for our church knitting group, two Swirling Seas cowls for Christmas gifts, and two Boyfriend Beanies for my sons.
Looking forward to trying something new this year, like a shawl or maybe even a sweater (😱)!
I’ve been praying and hopeful, I’m going get the giveaway this month. I’ve been looking forward to 5 years. All your giveaway yarns look so beautiful and delicious! ❤️😁
I think I only completed 4 projects last year, I got 2 others started, one of which I finished just a few days ago. I had a good excuse…I welcomed a baby boy in June, so I didn’t have much free time after he arrived!
Well…..I’ve got a few WIP. Which is good. I’m also learning knitting and have found my “project” The Butterfly Pavilion sooo I need to learn Garter which I currently am and getting good tension and turning, nect will be to learn W + T and the I cord. I want to know all before I begin I’ve got half my materials but not the next two colours. 2020 learn knitting and make a Project!.
Since about June or later in 2019 Ihave crochet two Cirrus tops and the Little Lola for myself. I also am mastering, or trying to master, the continental knitting stitch. Getting it but still awkward. My next project will be Worth I think but am practicing, actually making miniature examples of Cool Comfort, Textured Laguna, Pallette, and of course Wroth. I have my eye on River Walk.
I’m so bad at keeping track of my knitting, but I know I did a bunch of socks, a few hats, 2 sweaters, and probably 5 or 6 shawls.
I finished 16 projects, mostly socks.
Last year I crocheted a few small pieces but knitted a lot of socks, hats, shawls and a sweater! Currently working on fingerless gloves!
Ooooh man I lost count…..I think around a total of 20, maybe? Including all the little last-minute thingiemabobs!
I just started working with yarn, and I made 9 things!!!!!! Your stuff is so beautiful!
OMG this is the prettiest collection yet….. Last year I completed 28 projects! (not bragging — had grandchildren and a LYS to knit for 🙂 I LOVE this collection (and need to knit down some of my EFA stash this year!) 🙂
A few shawls, a few quilts, 2 afghans for donation, 40+ hats and scarves for the homeless, and a bunch of hair scrunchies and cozy cup holders.
I knitted several pairs of knitted knockers for breast cancer survivors. I knitted 2 hats and donated them. I finished a 2 cowls. This year I have started on my Northeasterly blanket pattern that uses up leftover sock yarn. I am looking forward to much knitting in 2020!
As the sole caregiver for my husband who is newly paraplegic, I find it difficult to finish the projects that I start. Maybe it’s nerves, maybe it’s the constant interruptions, but I just can’t seem to find the time to sit and knit undisturbed. No more knitting on long car trips since I must do all the driving. I find myself stuck in the pattern exploring, yarn buying, and casting on phases of most projects. I did, however, complete a knitted and beaded vintage wedding purse for a coworker that I thoroughly enjoyed working on. There must have been a couple more, but I don’t recall them at the moment. For this reason I pledge this year that I will only work on projects that bring me joy, that are for me, or that delight me. No guilt knitting this year.
Oh gosh, I don’t think I can remember all of the projects I did, maybe 30 or more.
Thank you so much!!
Hi! I completed 12 crocheted projects this year: including my first pair of socks (I got hooked (pun intended) and have gone on to make 3 more pairs!) and my first top. I also made several cowls and shawls. My last project this December was a doggie sweater-jacket to keep our shepherd mix warm while visiting family over the holidays in the mountains of
Southern Arizona where the temps often drop into the 30s overnight.
In 2019, I completed my first crochet sweater, first pair of socks (Tunisian crochet), first shawl, and a cowl.
I just learned how to knit last year by of course watching your youtube video for absolute beginners, so in 2019 I only knitted 3 scarves, but I hope to do lots of other thing and maybe fingers crossed learn how to crochet.
Didn’t get done as much as I would have liked. Had to finish two quilts for last month. Knitted 3 cowls and a scarf. Crocheted 2 smallish granny square blankets between November and December.
I started and frogged several projects. I only completed 2 cowls, started a wrist warmer & started but frogged 4 shawls. Still have 1 ruffley scary to finish plus the wrist warmers. Lost my knitting mojo & working on getting it back. Yet I still bought many skeins of yarn. 😂
I knitted alot of dishclothes and scarves. I’m currently knitting a shawl using ” Weekend Vibes ” oasis fingerling yarn.
I completed over 25 projects last year! Several shawls, sarongs, cover-ups, market bags, crocheted jewelry, etc. I MUST have something on my hook OR needles AT ALL TIMES! LOL When I don’t have something to work on it feels funny. I adore the feel of soft, yummy yarn through my fingers and dream of my next project. For fun, I surf online for hours looking for all the gorgeous yarn and pretty tools that I want to buy. It’s a beautiful YARN FILLED life! 🙂
Last year I created 6 prayer shawls at my church knitting group, 19 hats and 14 scarves that were donated to a local elementary school for needy children, 3 cowls for gifts, and numerous dishcloths and scrubbie. I love to both knit, and crochet 😊
Wow what a gorgeous giveaway. That even looks like enough camel silk for the world tour 😁!!!
What a great question btw, here it goes, off the top of my head!
– 10 cowls
– 6 hats
– 4 headbands
– 1 sweater
– 3 shawls
– 2 blankets
– 1 way too big cardigan that when originally put together the arms where way to long!
I think that’s it… most of that was crochet as I only started knitting back in April (using your videos to learn! Thanks again for that 😊). I just love knitting but crochet is way faster.. my first knitting project of 2020 is your Etude no 2.
Have a great day!!
I made a goal to finish 12 projects in 2019 and I actually finished 20! I was shocked and pleased.I’m working really hard on finding projects for my stash, because I seem incapable of stopping getting more yarn (it’s so beautiful and squishable and collecting it is a hobby all its own, right?). I made a wonderful shawl out of your Pearlescent Fingering where the pattern is named “Floating” and the yarn is so soft and silky it really feels like the shawl itself is floating. Also, I really want to say THE COLORS on this giveaway–OMG. I am in love. Such gorgeous, wonderful colors.
I’ve completed about 13 in all, some small, some large. All really fun!
Love, love, love this colorway! and this giveaway is the same month as my birthday!!! I made too
many things to give you an exact number, but I did make 2 sweaters for my boys for xmas, a couple of
baby blankets, 2 tops for my future daughter in laws, a table runner, and many other items. I love
crocheting! it’s a big stress reliever for me.
Unbelievably beautiful giveaway! Thank you for the chance to win! Last year, I finished 24 projects plus a stack of dishcloths! My goal for the year was to learn new techniques so I tried lace, bobbles, beading, toe up, and star stitch to name a few. I has been fun learning about how variegated yarns look in various projects and I’m looking forward to more new discoveries in 2020! Happy New year! <3
I finished 18 projects last year. My goal was 10. This year my goal is 18.
I started highly detailed 5 KAL scarves and KAL shawl, then found out about a special delivery on it’s way, so they all went into time out to begin an heirloom blanket and sweater, which were completed. Then a surprise baby arrived just before the end of the year — another blanket is almost finished! A few other things were made along the way — a partial scarf turned into a bag, other scarves were made, etc…
In embarrassed to say I only finished 18 projects last year.
5 shirts, 3 sweaters, 7 hats, 4 head bands, 3 purses, 3 baby blankets, 1 dog sweater, 1 pair of gloves, 1 purse, and countless baby booties … can’t remember if anything else, most of them are gifts that I gave away 🙂
Lost count on how many projects i completed last year, shawls, cowls, hats, little toys, and blankets for Project Linus. Love all of your beautiful yarns and would be happy to win some of your yarns. Thank you for your gorgeous work, and lovely patterns.
In 2019, I completed 14 knitting projects, 2 crochet projects, 4 embroidery projects, 1 tablet weaving project, and 4 medieval clothing items. Hoping to improve on those numbers this coming year!
Beautiful yarns Chandi! I like how they at first glance appear to be random colors, but that they can all work with the multi-color hanks!
I completed 25 knit and crochet projects last year, including a huge Tunisian crochet blanket with a foot pocket I made for my husband. I also knit my first shawl AND made my first in the round knit project – a cowl. And completed several tests for designers in both Tunisian crochet and knit.
In 2020, I am planning on finishing a knit sweater, making a knit cardigan, 2 hats and whatever wonderful projects strike my fancy! I love Expression Fiber Arts yarn and made many of of my Christmas gifts with it. If I am going to take the time to make gifts for people, may as well make them not only with Love, but with the BEST yarn!
Hi, Chandi and team! I really should keep better track of what I knit all year. I have so many works in progress at the same time that it gets all muddled. (for me it is the journey and not the destination). I know for the holidays alone, I made one shawl, three pairs of mittens, three pairs of slippers, one pair of socks, 2 scarves and two hats. That seems like quite a bit, doesn’t it? I started in October and had them all wrapped and under the tree by mid december. Yay me!
almost forgot one very beautiful scarf in a Christmas colorway of Pearlescent yarn just for ME!
Hi Chandi! In 2019 I probably finished about 15 items. My biggest accomplishments were learning to knit after 40+ years of crochet and dying yarn using natural dyes. Thanks for being my inspiration and posting great how to videos! Kelli
oh my!!! this months yarns are just stunning!!
this year i completed more than i thought i did until i counted, minimum of a dozen beanies, a wearable blanket (think open front poncho w/attached scarf, 50×80″ & fair isle work) oversized wrap, 2 shawls & at least 3 scarves…
45 knits, one crochet.
I Knitted 6 hats, 5 cowls, two scarves, 2 shawls that I can think of….
Oh boy, I don’t actually keep track. I make a lot of hats, then frog them and make something new…. I know for sure I finished a Midnight Grove shawl, several hats, two head wraps, and a baby sweater.
Hi Chandi! I’m currently working on a sweater and baby pants. I’ve made a hat, house slippers, baby cardigan and 2 pairs of baby slippers last year.
Your yarn is beautiful. 2019 I knitted: 7 pairs of socks, 6 ornaments, 2 hats, 2 sweaters, 2 shawls, 1 pair of mittens, and 1 pair of boot cuffs
thanks for a chance at a fun giveaway.
I checked my Ravelry info where I posted about 50 projects for 2019. They were an assortment of baby hats, headbands, baby shoes, prayer blankets and shawls, chemo hats, egg gathering aprons, and stuffed small animals. Most were crocheted, but some were knitted. Thanks for allowing me to participate in the wonderful yarn giveaway contest.
I love your yarns and your patterns. Am currently learning how to knit and your Utube tutorials were such a help to me. Thanks so much for making them. I crocheted a baby blanket and baby hat, large blanket for my son-in-law, 3 adult beanies for my son and his friends who were deployed overseas, coffee cuzies, and I am working on what I want to make and work with new stitches and finer yarn to improve my technique. Thank you for your motivation and ideas. I really want to think outside the box but sometime I just don’t know where to start. How do you get your inspiration for your patterns? Thanks!
I think I completed about 8-9 projects in 2019. I probably have that many wips going right now to finish in 2020! Love your yarns they are so beautiful.
Hi Chandi, this month’s give away yarns are beautiful, and I just placed my pre-order for New Dreams, with a skein of Granite Sincere Sock to go with it, as a birthday gift for myself. I’m planning to knit a nice sweater out of the lovely coordinating colors in these 3 skeins of yarn. Last year, I knit 5 projects because I was a little distracted, but this year I expect to get in a lot more knitting.
I got 5 basic shawls made this year, taught my sister to knit, and got my daughter back into knitting. 2020 already has a pattern and the yarn for a tunic sweater and the promise to learn how to make socks with my daughter as well as tackle learning to crochet amigurumi figures. Baby Yoda first, of course.
Your yarns are so gorgeous and inspiring! I hope to be able to knit with them some day.
Ugh. You would ask that question! lol 🙂 I completed a hooded cowl for my mom and 1 sock. Yes, 1. lol 🙂
In 2019 I completed 11 projects in 2019. Most of them were for Christmas gifts!
I love your yarn. I see so many projects in my mind when I see your yarn. I have 5 projects started using your yarn . Love all of your base yarn texture.
Last year I completed about 15 projects most of them for birthday, christmas gifts
Last year I had several projects on knitting needles. 2 pair of socks, shawl, 2 hats, sweater and mittens. I had an unexpected injury and only completed 1 hat, pair of socks and shawl. I’ve just be able to return to knitting and work on completing my WIPs. It feels great to be knitting again.
Made a crochet hat and learned to knit last year. Been out of this realm but getting back home and loving it.
Hi,
For 2019 I completed 19 projects between crochet, knitting and weaving. I made hats, blankets, mandalas, dishcloths, kitchen towels, scrub a pillow, a flag, soap savers, booties, scrubbies and headbands.
I love the fact I can go on Ravelry and see how many items I finished. 23! Goodness, that is quite a lot! The most fun? The viking helmet and beard for my crazy son. (Although the Poop emoji and poop mittens run a close second!) The most beautiful? A shawl knit with yarn especially dyed for my LYS, and my Aunt dearly loved to receive. I knitted quite a few chemo caps to give back to others going through chemo. The newest technique learned? Entrelac! It was fun to try something new that seemed daunting, but was actually easy-breezy!
I browsed through your site, and your yarns are beautiful! Your color combinations are wonderful! Unfortunately, I have sworn an oath not to purchase a single skein, or ball, or hank of yarn this year until I whittle down my stash a bit. (It has taken over the house) Good luck to all of you who can bring new yarn into their homes, Im working on maintaining my marriage! LOL
Well, I still have three WIPs from last year, but I did complete four I believe – my very first sweater for myself, a baby blanket, a pair of fingerless mitts, and a shawl for my cousin to wear at her wedding.
Thank you so much Chandi for sharing your wonderful patterns. They are all so beautiful and such a joy to make! Your so creative and inspiring. So what I made last year, oh boy. I have 5 kids with 5 significant others and they always want a hat and scarf set for Christmas so I made 10 sets. I had two friends bring grand-babies into the world so each baby received a blanket with several hats and booties. I made a cardigan for one of my daughters, and a blanket for a friend. A made 4 matching hats with attach scarfs for my cousins family. I honestly can’t remember all that I made because I gift not sell so I’m bad to record. I’ve always have relatives and friends making wishes and out comes my needles or my hooks depending on my mood or pattern. I too love all things yarn! And really enjoy creating beautiful things to share! Wishing you a wonderful 2020!❤️
I completed 3 hats and one scarf in 2019. Just started knitting in October 2019 and I’m hooked! I’m planning to knit the Love & Lace shawl, just trying to pick the yarn, and just found a t shirt pattern on your site I want to try. You are my idol. I love to watch your videos and learn so much from you. Thanks for the inspiration.
Been crocheting for decades. Finally made my 1st sweater!!! There will be more!! Took, yet, another knitting class. Then a “ how to fix” class. It’s s l o w going, but I just have to keep at it. Office took collection $$ to buy some hats for donation. I brought in a monster bag of crochet hats & scarfs for them to take. Making more hats for my long haul truck driving husband to give to his trucking friends.
Your giveaway Yarn is beautiful! I started knitting last March. I finished 4 hats, 2 wraps, and a scarf.
I crocheted quite a bit last year! It’s what I do for relaxation, and I love to create things as gifts too. I made 2 shawls, a few kids hats, a baby blanket, at least 4 bunny lovies, and a number of other baby things for my baby girl who will be here any day!
I have no idea what I got done. At least a few shawls and a couple hats!
I don’t know how many items I completed in 2019….I am just now getting my projects in Ravelry to keep track.
My major crochet accomplishment for this year was garments! I finished (and now wear) at least: 8 vests, 2 jacket,-like sweaters, 2 pullover sweaters w/out sleeves (one with a hood), 2 pullover sweaters with sleeves. A poncho (2 shawls seamed together). 4 pillow covers. 1 snood. YAY!
Planning more sweaters and tops in 2020. Maybe socks????
Beautiful yarns as always!!!
35, but some of them were started many years ago, and some ot them were multiple piece projects.
Several jumpers , a cardigan , a blanket , and several charity items.
Projects for 2020 include a reverse mirror image double knit blanket, and my first attempt at felting. Love your Yarns!
I completed just 6 crochet items in 2019. A couple of those were started in 2018, the others start to finish in 2019. That said I also worked on about 8 other projects – and that’s just for crochet! I’m definitely better at starting things than finishing, and I’m for sure not someone who works on just one thing at a time lol!
I made one blanket, two shawls, two scarves, 5 hats, and around 15 dishcloths. Hoping to make even more this year!
fingerless gloves with dividers….I think my 30 something year old daughter asked for at least 5 pairs, plus. would have made more but the winters in NC aren’t too bad. Scarves and fingerless gloves to a newly discovered part of my family that I met at 60+. Great way to tell someone they are special. Love your yarn…
Bonjour,
Waouh, magnifique.
Amandine
I think I finished 12 projects: some hats, some mitts, some baby things and socks. I’m not a fast knitter!
I lost count of what I finished in 2019. I did a mess of scarves & shawls (knitted & crochet). I crochet on my bus ride to and from work when the weather is warmer. I also knit hubbin a cardigan & crocheted an afghan for our niece’s wedding, oh, and the shawl I wore to it too!
I completed a couple of shawls, and a scarf. I have Laguna on one set of needles and Milla on another. I am hoping to get those finished in the next month or so.
During 2019 i made 2 shawles, 3 childrens cardigans, 1 childs jumper, a babys cardigan with hood, a cowl. Happy New year everyone x
Not sure about completed projects, but I have several in progress that I began in 2019! Am I the only one who has issues with completing projects?!?!? I enjoy knitting, but I feel like I am very slow at doing it. Not enough time in a day for leisure activities – for me this could be knitting, reading, playing games on tablet, taking a walk, etc.
2019 was my most prolific year so far. I finished two scarves, 5 hats, and half a crib blanket. I’m a show knitter and don’t get a chance to do it more than once or twice a week for a few minutes, so for me that’s a huge accomplishment!
Many years of none and started back up with a scarf but very slow as rusty. Your yarns are beautiful and hope to do a shawl/wrap when done with the scarf, rusty rusty.
Yay! Another yet, gorgeous and generous giveaway, thank you so much! Last year, I didn’t finish any projects, in fact, I didn’t even have any, I’m still a newbie knitter, so I decided I would learn more stitches and train my tension among other things.
I have knitted 7 hats and 2 scarves (Christmas presents), probably 20 shawls of various sizes (I was in rehab with a busted knee for 3 months so I did a lot of knitting). Most of that with Chandi’s yarns because they are so beautiful and knit up beautifully.
I’ve done so many socks this past year that I’ve lost count. They are my “happy” place. Have also done some beanies as well as shawls (I donate to Cancer Services for their annual fundraiser). Your yarn is gorgeous!
Only finished projects? Hmmm, that would be a cape for my daughter’s Barbie doll, a pair of socks, and that’s about it 🙂 I started another poair of socks, hopefully it will be ready until the end of the year, as it is a very busy year for me, with multiple crafting projects.
I think I completed 5 – a baby blanket, your Fennmont sweater (loved making it and trying some new-for-me techniques – top down, short rows, provisional cast-on), and three elephants for family and friends expecting babies.
I completed a blanket, some hats, mittens, 4 cowls/shawls, a bunny, a giraffe, and a neck warmer for my Dad. And started a dozen others 🙂
Let’s see….I did two skinny scarves and two super scarves and a triangle scarf, at least half a dozens hats(I didn’t really keep track), a backpack, a capelet, a dice bag, a grumpy cat doll, a lovey and a few other things that I’m blanking on right now.
This year I will finish the shawl, baby blanket, lapghan, dragon amigurumi, sweater, poncho, and hooded cowl that I started in 2019. Hope to also finally make a skirt I’ve been planning for five years, plus several hats, baby yoda dolls (these have been commissioned lol), and a couple of other dolls and toys.
My 2019 Ravelry Challenge tab says 55. I missed the whole end-of-year holiday push tho, due to my own illness & sick grandkids!
Well, if you count the ones I haven’t blocked yet… 😉
What gorgeous colours! Last year I knitted a lace edged sleeveless cardi, a lace shawl, a big warm winter cardi, and an aran weight, cabled jacket which took ages as I had to do a long search (eventually successful) for a final hank of discontinued wool. All but the shawl were for me. At 81 I’ve knitted my share of baby blankets, baby dresses and sweaters and things for friends and relations. I have no grandchildren so now enjoy knitting for ME! I’m not a fast knitter, modify patterns a lot and like each item to be a bit of a challenge. I really enjoy your messages – they put a smile on my face and a shine on the day!
love your yarns!
I honestly couldn’t tell you how many projects I have finished. There were fewer last year vs past years. The last thing I finished was a pillow with a silly monster face for my young nephew. He loved it!
Good morning Chandi!!!! The yarns are beautiful ,,as always . I finished 23 projects in 2019 and it included 2 baby afghans and a beautiful sweater set for my new granddaughter Paisley. I’m getting ready to cast on the Laguna wrap today, with yarns purchased from you. Karuna up next in the beautiful yarns from your selections.
My needles were busy in 2019 for sure! I knitted 8 fly bonnets for the horses; 2 pull over sweaters for my daughter; 4 Irish pup style caps for my 4 sons (then had to knit 4 more as the first ones were too tight, lol), then 9 hats, 3 sets of mitts & 6 scarves for the grands & 1 knitted dolly for my niece’s new baby girl! Starting 2020 off strong working on a knit pull over sweater for myself 🙂 Love getting your emails with words for thought. Love these stash contests too!
a SWEATER, A HAT, SHAWL, 2 COWLS AND FOUR OR FIVE UNFINISHED PROJECTS STARTED. I LOVE ALL OF YOUR YARNS!!!!
Can’t remember all the projects I worked on last year, but here are some…..hand muffs, ponchos, kat hats, popscicle holders — all for my nieces. Baby Thing 1, Thing 2 hat & bootie sets, baby blankets, vintage pot holder, dish scrubbers. Gosh, when I think about it, it can be so much and yet feel like I didn’t do that much! Your yarns are beautiful, though I haven’t been able to try them yet. And you are a beautiful person. Your messages are so honest and uplifting. Thank you for all you do!
Hello! I knitted several washcloths to go with the handwoven towels I made for Christmas gifts. I crocheted a granny square throw, your Cirrus tank top and I’m currently working on a crochet blanket for my queen size bed using 2″ granny squares made from hand dyed yarns.
Your yarns are stunning and I love your patterns!
Kathy
I completed a Shawl for my sister, a scarf for my son and almost finished with a scarf for my daughter-in-law. My hubby bought me yarn all on his own so I’ll be knitting him a hat.
Thank you for all the beautiful (free) patterns. And you should know all your inspirational wishes hit home. Thank you for that. Some kind words and a little encouragement goes a very long way.
I have so many WIPs, completed projects that just need seaming, or things I’ve done for other people that I couldn’t possibly come up with a total! I’ve also collected so many knitting patterns (on-going obsession), that I will be busy for many years to come and always looking for the perfect yarn!
Happy 2020 Chandi!!! Wishing you a wonderful, happy and healthy year to bless you and your loved ones! I can’t even begin to tell you how many items I’ve made in 2019! I’m chronically ill/permanently disabled, so I have lots of ‘spare’ time!! I taught myself how to crochet when I moved to AZ for my health 4 years ago. To date, I still have only made items to donate, made with donated yarn from a senior residence complex that is in my town. I am SO grateful to them for their donations of yarn; because, I simply would not have been able to make those items. I had to retire early from my Maternity nursing career, so I enjoy making hats and little blankets for the newborns. The majority of my items though, are lapghans. I donate those to the elderly or to those who are ailing. I purchased yarn once to make a sweater for myself, but I never got to starting something for myself! LOL! I think I may wait, until I teach myself how to knit. All the best to you sweet girl! Keep on keeping on!!!
For work (as a sample knitter), I finished 7 projects for my main designer. All of these are start to finish, including pattern corrections and math checking, etc.
As a designer in my own right, I finished (the knitting of) 4 projects. I still need to write up the patterns so I can publish them.
Considering knitting is one of my “freelance” jobs, and babysitting my niece is a full-time gig, I can live with these numbers this year.
In 2019, I made lots&lots of teenie preemie hats for charity, knitted ballet shrug/leg warmers for g-granddaughter, poncho for other g-granddaughter, 10 furry crochet earwarmers, 3 chemo sleep caps, 2 knit shawls, 1 knit scarf and 1 crochet comfort wrap. Whew….I didn’t realize how many garments I made until I started listing them. I enjoyed and relaxed making each and every one.
Hope I win this beyond belief yarn giveaway, Chandi. I would be so thrilled to work with all of your soft and colorful yarns for my knit/crochet projects in 2020 and for the 2020 Christmas season too.
ahh chandi, you are a bright burst of sunshine on a cloudy day. I enjoy your posts very much. almost as much as I love seeing all of your lovely yarns. I have been crocheting for 40+ years and have been trying knitting for almost 10. (self teaching myself the knitting. my mother-in-law taught me the basics back in my early 20’s) other than a short time where I could not hook back when I was working because of severe carpel tunnel I haven’t put my hooks down for very long. idle hands aren’t a favorite of mine. sail on with your lovely words and works dear heart. we all are in need of both.
Didn’t complete many items (3) due to my arthritis acting up, but I did complete my first beaded shawl which seemed to take forever but turned out beautiful. Would love to win this beautiful yarn so I could make some of your wonderful shawls with beads! Your shawls & wrap patterns are my favourites!
Gorgeous colors! Finishing a couple of charity items and next up is something using a peach-colored yarn from you.
Your yarn is luscious! In 2019 I made so much stuff I cannot remember it all. Two hooded blankets ( unicorn and llama hoods), a couple of baby blankets, at least six shawls for the Navajo project and a couple of really detailed designer dolls. A few hats. Some baby booties. Most all are gifts or donations. Oh, an Afghan for my mom and one for my boss. I love crochet and YARN! What is it about yarn anyway? I cannot stop acquiring it and cannot wait to make something from a yarn that I love. It is a serious addiction.
I completed many hats to be donated to my local cancer center in 2019. I lost count. I also completed about 10 neck warmers and 15 pairs of fingerless mitts. I want to try to make myself a shawl in 2020, but that large of a project is intimidating to me. I tend to stick to the smaller projects that I can actually finish. Thank you for your wonderful yarn giveaways. The yarns are stunning!
I just started knitting again, so I didn’t do any projects in 2019. 2020 should be a good year for LOTS of projects, though!
Wow, what beautiful yarn. I have a sick knitting friends that would help me learn. Id live tho have this to learn with.
I crocheted around 40 projects in 2019 (some of which were multiples), and made my first 2 knitted items as well! (A washcloth and an infinity scarf.)
Thank you so much for your fabulous patterns. My projects include a knitted cowl, several pairs of socks, an afghan, two large (18″) and 2 small {10″) doilies. The doilies were so much fun to crochet. I love making the yarn move with the front and back post stitches. You get so much detail in your project. I also completed a baby afghan with a matching octopus stuffy and a few knitted hats. I first started working with yarns when I was about 10 years old – my Dad worked at a camp and he brought me a bag full of tangled yarn and I had the patience, even then, to untangle all of that yarn. It was destiny; 50 years later and still going strong.
I finished several shawls last year, among them some woven ones — a new type of joy 🙂
A few! Two crocheted cardigans, scarves, a few amigurumi critters for my kids, a throw pillow cover, my first ever knit lace shawl and my first ever pair of knit socks!
I wove a scarf, knitted a scarf, plus knitted and crocheted dishcloths, crocheted a doily, knitted a hat and sewed several things. I just love those colors. I like using my own patterns for items. These are a lot of free patterns that I have made here: https://ninasatmyhouse.blogspot.com/
Thank you for thinking of us.
I checks My Ravelry Page and according to that I finished 49 projects, granted I make a lot of small stuffies so that is why I was able to do so, Ia am not a fast knitter/crocheter!
I finished 19 projects! Mostly socks. I also have two scrap blankets I constantly work on. I hope to finish even more this year!
I finished my son’s baby blanket, a slouchy hat, my daughter’s poncho (all crochet), and several other items I currently can’t remember. I have a huge stash of WIPS going constantly, and I’m a homeschooling Mom, so I don’t have as much time to craft as I used to, but I still enjoy it. 😊
Your yarn and patterns are always so gorgeous!
I don’t keep track of my compulsive knitting, but I can remember making two sweaters, several hats and cowls, some twined mittens, some common knit mittens, and some scarves. Love your yarn and all its brilliant colors!
The project I’m most proud of is the stole I knit for my grand-daughter’s wedding. She picked the color, and one of your patterns, and I picked the yarn, Cash Silk. It was the first item I had ever blocked What a difference blocking made. Thanks for all the work you do and all the free patterns.
I did 14-16 projects, from tea cozies to blankets – and you’ve been there for many of them, Chandi! My projects included a swoopy, lacy shawl using your lovely Resilient sock yarn in a beautiful turquoise, and a scarf for my daughter-in-law in your gorgeous Raven merino/silk fingering yarn. I also used your patterns to make two more shawls, and did up a set of hand-warmers for myself. I love Expressions Fiber Arts, and eagerly read every email!
Oh my gosh, too many! The ones I can recall off the top of my head – two crocheted dog toys for a new baby, a filet baby blanket, a knitted sweater, several knitted hats, multiple skeins of handspun yarn, a dozen hand felted doll hats, needle felted snowmen, and a hand-woven scarf, which was a new craft for me! And so far this year, many more in the planning stages!
I finished 15 projects in 2019! Most were just hats and cowls, LOL. I did manage to crochet a twin size blanket for my daughter, a sweater for my son and an oversized cardigan for myself in super bulky yarn. So fast! And 2 small shawls. 😉
I made a scarf for a friend’s Christmas present.
Such beautiful yarns! And to think I was in Rock Hill last weekend and didn’t zip up to Charlotte to see them first hand! Oh well, more volleyball tournaments for my daughter in the months to come! Last year I completed 6-7 baby hats, two pairs of slippers, a child’s cardigan, two headbands, three shawls and and three stuffed Easter bunny rattles. I’m also plugging along at some bigger pieces, hoping to finish a couple of them real soon.
Last year I made about 200 hats for charity. My local food pantry took 125 of them and a company I worked for sent a bunch to Maine for a community service project we had. I also made three sweaters which I am really enjoying in this cold Ohio weather!
I completed only 1 project in 2019, however that’s a huge win for someone who hasn’t had a needle or hook in my hands for 40+ years. I have two projects on my goal list for 2020, that’s a 100% increase.
My hand doctor says I need to knit less. I just laughed. This year I made a couple dozen baby and adult rainbow hats, 3 afghans, 7 pairs of socks, 4 scrubbies,, sleeved fingerless mitts, 2 angel mom hats, and a sleeveless sweater. I’m sure there were other volunteer projects, but it was a few months ago. There may have been one day when I didn’t knit in homage to my hand doctor.
Such a fun question – and I really had to go digging to remember everything! I completed 4 shawls, 1 not-a-poncho, 1 small cowl, 5 hats, 2 sets of mittens, 2 sets of fingerless gloves, maybe 15 preemie/newborn hats for charity, and 3! sweaters for myself! That’s a list I’ll pretty proud of!
It’s really hard to remember……probably ~ 50 or more….just looking @ my current giveaway pile which totals 12 & that’s since the gifts given away @ Christmas. So being chosen as your 1st 2020 giveaway would be a great honour….Thanks for the chance. 🤗
I have no idea how many items I knit this past year, but would venture a guess of 20+
However, I had decided a few weeks ago to keep track of all my projects and I’ve already got three listed.
None, I just learned how to knit finally – thanks to your tutorials it finally clicked! Now I am mad for knitting! I am a crocheter of tiny things (steel needles, cotton thread, edging etc. but didn’t do any last year.
Wow and wow!!! Your colors are always stunning! 2019 was a great year…I finished two knit ponchos, a “Colourist” crescent shawl using your fiber (took First place at the fiber festival) , The “Perfect Blend” KAL, Just 4 You KAL, a baby sweater, a lap robe and oh my, several other items! A really good year for knitting even with a full time job. Thank you for bringing us such color inspiration!
I actually have a mystery my lovely grandmother had a wonderful flower that I am trying to copy and create a wonderful afghan for members of my family. Other pieces also exist in various states of progress some need a designer flair so those will be finished too. Pesky button and other closures are also part of a design search. I however continue to purchase yarn for other ideas flourish.
Last year was a light year for me – craftwise- as I had a death in the family. I always intend to make more than I get to and finished the year with several projects started.
Ten completed knits, lots of hats and mittens but actually started and finished a fingering weight sweater for me!
Your yarns are beautiful! This is the first giveaway since I signed up for your mailing list and it’s amazing! Last year I completed a very oversized king blanket, 5 snowflakes, a wrap and several scarves. My goals for this year include finishing my first shawl.
Where do I begin?! Haha. I made about 4 amigurumi squids, lots of Christmas decorations, finished a jumper, lots of hats, a cowl, a shawl and a giant chunky blanket. I started about 10 other projects and frogged most of them. Hoping to not frog any this year!
I didn’t count, but at least 2 a month — sometimes 3 or 4 if they were small like hats or scarves.
I crocheted 35 projects last year.
Due to my arthritis I didn’t get many projects done, but I still plug away.
Your yarns are beautiful! Thank you for putting out such a great product.
I didn’t keep track, but I posted 6 completed projects on Ravelry, knit 3 gift cowls for Christmas, several charity hats and scarves, and a Mondrian inspired blanket that still needs to have loose ends worked in. I always have at least 6 active projects so I always have something easy, something that requires concentration, something small enough to carry with me, wherever I go, and something that is now too big to carry around. When I’m sitting, I’m knitting (except when I am online). Took 2 days of knitting classes at Vogue Knitting live NYC last week. Now I have more ideas than I can count, but I DID NOT buy any yarn this year. The Market Place was overwhelmingl;y crowded.
In 2019, I completed 26 projects. Shawls, cowls, scarves and hats. A sweater for me. Gifts for my 5 sisters.
This is a good time for me to remind myself of what I need to finish, but for start to finish in 2019, 5 shawls for my daughter (she always says “thank you mummy”, a good incentive to knit for her) and 2 shawls for me two, Two hats started and finished in December as is cold again, and I wear several at one time (all the more warmer) especially if I use sock weight yarn for the hats. Mostly, for me, it is finding quiet me time for knitting. even in the winter, someone (me) has to move the snow around. I love your yarns and especially the positive and happy greetings.
Hi Chandi,
Last year I got back into knitting after 40-something years. I started with a couple wash cloths to learn continental style, then completed 10 of 12 blocks of a sampler blanket to learn loads of new stitches. Before all that I was only crocheting, and I made 2 amigurimi bears and a couple blankets. I’m dreaming of the day when I can retire and have more time to play with yarn!
I finished 18, but have quite a few unfinished projects.
I crocheted one baby blanket and knitted 2 hats, mittens, 3 or 4 socks, a cowl, a shawl, a Christmas ornament in 2019.
I would like to knit sweaters for my family and me in 2020. I am sure that I will make socks, shawls, cowls and hats also this year.
I was a slacker last year!
Only completed 2 scarfes and one hat! I’ll do better soon! Promise!
Hello!
I knit for charity, so I really dont know how many projects I finished! 3 shawls, tons of hats and cowls and a couple snoods. A few sock monkey hats for the children’s hospital. Learned C2C, so crocheted one as a sample, and am doing another for charity.
I made a few One Skein Wonders for a charity auction. I love yarn! And what I can make from it to keep we fellow northerners warm on a cold, cold day.
I haven’t completed too many proper knits, but lots of practice dishcloths and lots and lots of plans.
It would be a miracle if I won this gorgeous yarn! Thank you for your generosity – no matter who wins it!
According to Rav, (TanteVern) I completed 12 projects! But a couple of them are 2 items listed within the same project page… I am proud of how many “firsts” there are- first colourwork sweater, first pair of colourwork mittens, first mohair project, first MKAL etc. My favourite FO’s are probably the matching cardigans I did for my 5 year old nieces- their faces just lit up when they realized they had matching cardigans 🙂
Oh my goodness how many projects?
Countless ear-warmers, at least a dozen pairs of finger-less gloves, probably a dozen or more different hats, 6 of which were messy bun hats, 14 Mason Jar cooozies and a bunch (dozens (4 dozen?)) of the cutest pumpkins… I made a few different shawls (3 or 4) and a few tops including my favorite sleeveless sweater.
Finally I began the cutest baby bunting and am about half way through it. I cannot wait to have it done to give to my good friend for her daughter. It has taken me so long but is also made with so much love.
This year? I am very much looking forward to making a few cardigans and itching to make the Shala pattern I bought from you last year.
Too many to count!! New ventures for 2019 included holiday outfits for little girls – candy corn dresses and hats for Halloween and elf dresses and hats for Christmas. Starting on Easter outfits now 😊🐣🐰
I only worked o, cotton dishcloths last year, but did lots of fiber processing and some spinning.
I managed to complete 2 mug cosies, a crochet hook roll, a granny square, a heart, some flowers, poppies and Christmas tree decorations…..lots of little projects – I would love to make something like a shawl or blanket this year but am currently making a beret for my Mum! Loving this months giveaway yarn – such beautiful colours!
I honestly cannot count the number of knitted and crocheted projects that I completed last year….. Including Lovies and dolls , clothing for my granddaughters , cowls, blankets for charity , storage bags , shawls , socks and not forgetting My Coatigan ! Using 4 shades of self striping yarn and knitted sideways , it was a great exercise for the brain as well as my hands ! ( I based the item on a free pattern available through Ravelry ) I love your patterns and had a lot of success with your pebble (?) cloths knitted in a denim cotton. A very popular item which I donate to a local cancer research charity. I’m already on my 3rd project this month… the plan is to make at least one item per week….although this week I have already made 6 but they are crocheted wash/dish cloths for charity 😇
Hi Chandi!
I think I knitted three items last year. Your yarn is beautiful! Thanks for the opportunity.
Sandy
I absolutely love your yarns. The colors are breathtaking and the yarn is scrumptious 😊. Thank you for all of your creative talents that you bestow on us.
4 projects – including two using your yarns!
I don’t remember how many projects but I’ve made hats, scarves, wraps, fingerless gloves and scrubbies. I’ve completed a few amigurumi items – flower pot of violets and a voodoo doll.
Beautiful yarns! Throughout the year I made a number of virus shawls and scarves for friends. A poncho and some cowls. Tried new stitch patterns following your excellent video tutorials. Also will be following the traveling Afghan crochet along by two wands that started this month. So much to crochet, so little time.
I’m a Tenant Artist at Arts on the Greenway in Mt. Holly. I headed up the Granny Square Christmas Peace Tree that was displayed in front of City Hall. We had over 26 ladies across the county crochet granny squares for the project. Personally, I crocheted capes, hats, scarves, sweaters this past year. All totaled – 23 pieces, some with your yarn (which I LOVE!!) Also attended a fiber class at the John C. Campbell School of Craft and fulfilled a several decade long dream – I learned to spin! So relaxing!!
Last year I did not crochet or knit anything. My husband of 33 years died in Feb of 2019, after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. Not only was I so depressed and did not feel like doing a project, but with all the medical bills and funeral, I have not been able to afford any yarn, and dont know when I will be able to afford this luxury again you never think of something like buying yarn as a luxury, until you cant afford it anymoe.
I lost track of how many projects I made in 2019. I know there were a heap of shawls, scarves, and stoles that I made for friends. Also a pile of fingerless mitts, a few hats for me (to replace what got lost…), some sample patterns, most of a queen size quilt, banners, and lots of recycle sewing. Wish I could remember. I wonder if using those gorgeous yarns would have made me remember better? Sure would be fun!
Last year I did 11 hats, 1 pr mittens, 1 blanket, and 3 scarves. Seems to me that there were a few more, but I’m not remembering them right now. The hats were Christmas gifts and well appreciated.
Last year I managed to knit a child’s poncho, a baby blanket and hat, two lap blankets, a light summer cardigan, four oversized scoop shrugs, a pair a fingerless gloves, a pair of leg warmers, 6 market bags, a few cowls and enough hats that I lost count. Oh and a couple Scrunchies. I am currently working on making a few more patterns of my own, and hopefully soon I can work on making my first sweater.
Btw I love your yarns! They are all so beautiful and inspirational but sadly I can’t afford any right now. Maybe one day soon!
Surprisingly for me, 38 FO’s.
I’m a bit behind this year with only 2 FO’d so far but there’s a couple of huge things planned so I might not even reach 10 this time around.
I have knitted so many things this year, some for presents, many things for the Farmer’s Market which I did from June to Nov. Lots of mittens, dishcloths, scrubbies, baby sweaters, hats of all sizes, booties, slippers, headbands. A couple baby blankets. a large throw. I make bracelets and armbands to give out free to the kids at the farmer’s market and craft fairs. I enjoy doing the market, my mom drives me and we sit and knit all day. I have all winter to try new patterns. At Christmas we usually rent a hall to visit with family so I took some of my knitting to let each person pick out what they would like to have.
I lose track, but I didn’t crochet as much as I normally do last year. I probably made about 5 or 6 prayer shawls. I also made a baby romper and sweater.
My motivation was gone for most of the year, but I did finish three hats and a pair of booties for my son who was born in August.
I completed over 20 projects last year, from baby shoes to shawls and to an amigurumi lightsaber (to match the Yoda hat). The last of them was completed in the last day of December – a big rainbow throw for my newlywed friend’s couch.
I’m such a slow knitter (besides having other crafts I love to do!), so only 3 shawls completed this year. I aim to do better for 2020!
I, unfortunately, only finished 3 projects this past year: a baby blanket, baby booties, and a pair if socks for myself. But on a happy note, i competed 3 projects last year!
What beautiful yarn! Right now I have 2 tops almost complete, one teal, and one light blue. I am working on a heavy wrap for winter, It is almost complete, it is glue-tones. I finished a poncho, an over top and a teal half moon shawlette, and a heavy shawl. Crocheting is my way to relax and ignite my creativity. .
Boo I didn’t finish anything in 2019. I did get carpal Tunnel surgery in November. So I hope to get more done this year.. Yeah! no more numbness in my right hand.
I’m glad you are feeling better. ❤️
I finished one throw, a pair of socks and am working my way through other unfinished projects 🙄 Although I am becoming a grandma this summer so I will be starting something new soon 😂
Last year I began teaching myself to knit. I completed one tank top, one scarf, and most of another scarf. I also completed several crochet projects– a sweater for my daughter, a hat and mitts for my mom, and I reworked a couple of other things for myself.
Hi there! I crocheted 12 projects last year ranging from baby blanket to dishcloth and towel sets to sweaters.
I have given myself a new challenge, with my one hand (stroke wiped out my right hand), I am creating dragon scarves and dragons. It is fun and sometimes frustrating, but they all come out so unique! The opportunity to use real fiber is always wonderful. I love working with natural fibers.
That is incredible!
Would using a knitting belt help?
The only knitting project I remember finishing last year was my first baby sweater. Then aforementioned baby arrived and put knitting on hiatus for awhile. But she’s worth it.
I’m a very slow knitter, but 2019 was a great year for me. I knit two drawstring bags using crochet thread. I also have a shawl that is about 80% done at this point. It is my stress knitting project, so about 70% was done during the last two months of school.
I can’t remember how many but I it was babies, babies, babies all year! And working on three more so far for this year! I’ve had vest on hold ever since…
I finished 52 projects in total (well, the ones I remembered to put into ravelry), which doesn’t count any of the dishcloths I knit up. Very surprised. Hoping to knit more garments as well as use up as much of my stash yarn as possible. Not that I’m not buying any yarn, but I have an overflowing closet at the moment. LOL
I completed about 10 items last year. Several cowls, a pair of mittens, a shawl, several baby hats, a cardigan and I started but have yet to complete 2 sweaters,1 scarf, 1 dog sweater, 1 cowl, 1 pair mittens and 1 shawl! Time to get my WIP’s under control. Love your yarn!
Love, love your yarns! Some day, I hope to be the winner. 2019 – I knitted a throw, (3 hats, 1baby sweater and bootie set & 2 baby sweaters) for charity, (4 sweaters, 1 scarf, 4 cowls, 2 hats, and 1 shawl) for Christmas presents.
I finished 2 blankets, 4 scarfs, 3 hats and 4 gnomes.
I’m not sure how many projects I finished in 2019 – I made a few dozen scarves for charity, and a lot of baby hats, and didn’t keep exact count.
I love all kinds of yarn and any colors.
My project I am working on are lap blankets for disabled veterans.
I love making gifts and showing how much I appreciate their service to our country.
I am a disabled veteran too and I know how it feels that people show how much they appreciate us.
Last year I made 27 knitted projects. Quite a few were tiny items for a beautiful new grandchild who arrived on Boxing Day. Baby knits are fun! The rest were mostly socks, hats and mittens.
I am as slow as a snail knitting or crocheting. I started a sweater last March and I am still working on it. I have finished about 10 dishcloths as my traveling/dr. appointment take-a longs.
I love your yarns and look at every email I get avidly. I am hoping when I retire (a few years off) that I can spend more time on my craft.
If I win the yarn sweepstake I will use the yarn for lap blankets. I am a disabled veteran and I want to give lap blankets to the disabled veterans in wheelchairs to say thank them for their service, too.
I never keep track of how many things I make, but last year I’d say I finished probably 15-20 items or so, because some of them were larger projects. One of my WIPs so far this year is the Trillium Shawl; I’m halfway through the rows, which of course are take longer, because the stitch count keeps increasing!
Thank you for the pattern, Chandi!
I work 10-12 hour days and don’t get to knit as much as usual. The only thin I completeed in 2019 were small christmas ornaments. Currently I have a baby blanket, dog aweaters, and a vest on the needles. Need to get all of them done by March! Wish me luck!
In 2019 I completed 39 hats, 17 pairs of socks, 5 shawls, and three sweaters. Whew! And probably a few other projects that I lost track of. This year I am focusing on blankets and socks as they make me happiest. ❤️
I’m such a prolific yarn addict that I literally can’t remember how much of what I’ve made. Mostly it was small stuff though, like hats and scarves. Though I do have enough finished projects running around to start my own business 😁. By the way one of the larger projects I did finish was the Love and Lace shawl. It’s squishy and my favorite 😍.
Well i just learned how to crochet january 2019 after my sister passed away because of overian cancer. I have made a few hats and a couple of shawl’s, if i could omg! I would crochet alot, but we live on social sucurity and cant afford yarn, man i would do anything to have some yarn right now i would love to make some baby blankets and stuff for my grankids, crocheting is my passion. If it is the Lord’s will i will win. Thank you so much for this generous give away and God Bless.
Three shawls, one cardigan and one sweater. And 3 hand warmers. I don’t know why I knit those handwarmers. I weave when I’m not knitting.
Your question has definitely encouraged me to keep better track of my FOs in 2020. So far I have 1 scarf, 1 hat (from your beautiful buttery soft chunky yarn – soft, sturdy, squishy, sweet, and so satisfying to knit with). Thanks for the inspiration! I love receiving your emails.
I love your colors!! I finished 9 projects as gifts. I used your yarn for several of them. I made a lot of hats. I am thinking of making mittens this year to match so I will need to get more of your yarn. I tried the camel yarn this year. It is really nice! Thank you for all your positive posts!
Last year…at least 4 hats for my kids, who are now getting the cheap yarn, because they lose them. 2 nice wool cloche hats for my SIL. Sweater for my husband, who sometimes wears it. Boot cuffs for oldest. Blanket for husband on back burner because it’s heavy and I’m pregnant and carrying a furnace. Working on sweater dress for 4to. Have 2 baby vests to finish for baby.
Just checked my projects on Ravelry – looks like 49ish? Lots of items for the shelter, presents, and a few for me lol Thanks for the great giveaway! Those colors are gorgeous! <3
That yarn is gorgeous. Last year I taught my self to crochet with the help from YouTube. I actually made a baby blanket for my great niece. This year I am learning how to knit. I have gotten as far as casting on. Yay! I have plans to knit a poncho and a hat and scarf. I’m also thinking about making your crochet pineapple shawl and your spring shawl.
I LOVE the bright colors!
