Hello, sweet soul! Today, I have a stunning textured crochet pullover pattern to share with you, and this one is a real showstopper! With its cozy, fitted shape and beautiful stitchwork, it’s especially striking in a variegated yarn where all those shifting colors can really shine. Keep reading to learn all about this week’s new crochet sweater pattern!
Transmutation was designed by Ashley Jane McIntyre. When asked about her debut pattern for Expression Fiber Arts, she said, “There are some pieces that seem to change the very element of the yarn you used to make them. Cosmic Confetti Fingering, with its multicolored flecks of tweed and captivating sparkles, already lends itself to making magic no matter what you do. But, when it’s stitched up with the undulating ripples found in this sweater, it’s transformative.”
This is an Intermediate level pattern that is perfect for crocheters who feel comfortable with crocheting and have made a few projects, using various skills and techniques. Skills/concepts include Front Post Treble stitches, garment construction, seaming, and blocking. The pattern contains written and charted instructions along with a schematic and comes with a video tutorial.
Transmutation is crocheted with our delightful Cosmic Confetti Fingering yarn, which is pure magic in a skein. Whimsical, squishy, and bursting with playful, tweedy flecks and a touch of sparkle, this yarn is like a party for your needles and hooks. Made from a luxurious 4-ply blend of 92% dreamy Merino Wool and 8% Polyester, it’s irresistibly soft and ready to bring your projects to life. The colors on this base? Absolutely out-of-this-world stunning! Each one is a little universe of happiness and beauty. Perfect for when your projects deserve that extra sprinkle of joy and wow!
The pattern is offered in sizes XS (S, M, L, XL) (2X, 3X, 4X, 5X), which correspond to finished bust sizes of 30.5 (34.5, 38, 43, 46.5) (50.5, 54, 59, 62.5)” / 77.5 (88, 96.5, 109, 118) (128, 137, 150, 159) cm. The sample shown here is a size S and is modeled on a 34″ (86 cm) bust with 0.5″ (1.25 cm) of positive ease.
You’ll need approximately 1,380 (1,576, 1,757, 2,011, 2,205) (2,428, 2,635, 2,919, 3,139) yards or 4 (4, 4, 5, 5) (6, 6, 7, 8) skeins of Cosmic Confetti Fingering, depending on the size you make. Our sample was crocheted with Poison Hemlock Cosmic Confetti Fingering.
