Hello, my sweet friend! Today, I have a lovely knitted sock pattern to tell you about. Worked from the cuff down and featuring stunning cables plus contrasting cuffs, heels, and toes, these socks are oh-so gorgeous! Keep reading to learn all about them!

The Continuity socks were designed by Becca Leith. When asked about the inspiration for this design, Becca said, “Continuity is a sock pattern that showcases the constant flow within two different kinds of cables, braided and one-directional. Most cables use the same stitches to flow in different directions. This represents how we go through life. Even though we do so many different things and circumstances change throughout our lives, we are still the same person and use our past experiences to dictate our future.”

“The Continuity socks are intended to be worn at mid-calf length and feature a German Twisted Cast On, a 2 x 2 ribbed cuff, and a contrasting color for the cuff, heel, and toe. A thick, braided cable runs down the top-center of the sock with smaller, one-directional cables on both sides. The cables go the whole length of the socks from the cuff to the toe. The cable pattern is charted, not written, so you will need to be able to read charts to knit this pattern.”

This Intermediate level pattern is for those who feel comfortable with knitting and have made a few projects, using various skills and techniques. Skills/concepts include German Twisted Cast On, grafting, decrease stitches, using DPNs, simple cables, picking up stitches, and reading charts. You will need to be able to read charts to knit this pattern.

The Continuity socks are knitted with our Sincere Sock yarn, which is a delightfully soft, fingering-weight treasure that feels like a gentle hug in your hands. Spun from a scrumptious blend of 75% Superwash Merino Wool and 25% Nylon, this yarn offers that perfect balance of cozy softness and lasting durability. No scratchiness, no fuss, just pure comfort! It’s machine-washable (although we always recommend hand-washing your projects), and the way it soaks up color? Absolutely gorgeous! The shades are vibrant, rich, and radiant. Each skein gives you 437 yds/400 m to play with and is perfect for anything your heart can dream up!

The Continuity socks are available in five US women’s sizes: XS (S, M) (L, XL), which correspond to foot circumferences of 6 (7, 8) (9, 10)” / 15 (18, 20) (23, 25) cm when measured at the ball of the foot and blocked. The sample shown here was knitted with Freedom Flight Sincere Sock and Chalk Sincere Sock yarn, and you’ll need one skein of each color for all sizes.
