I love your yarn. Wish I had all the money. Purple is my favorite color. I’m currently planning a temperature blanket for when we move. And I want to get better at using multiple colors in a project.
I want to learn mosaic crochet. One of my goals is to make an afghan for all of my kids for next Christmas. Love the colors of your yarn!
Mosaic crochet is also one of my goals this year along with improving my knitting skills.
I’m working on getting better at knitting. I’ve been a crocheter for 50 years and a yarn lover longer than that. I hope to learn more about stranded colorwork, cables and garmet construction. I’m currently working on baby blankets for all the new babies that the nephews and nieces are having, stuff for my own grand baby and for the preggers teachers at school. My hubby is a teacher and he helps support my yarn addiction.
I’m currently working on crocheting slippers for my man, & an afghan for my son, then a Cardigan for myself.
I would love to learn to crochet Granny pants using different Granny stitches like triangles etc & in different directions & paying special attention to the crotch area, my difficult area.
Thanks so much, I hope you can do this for us.
I’ve always wanted to make a table mosaic with handmade glass tiles.

I would like to learn appliqué for my quilts this year.
I’m wanting to learn how to weave this year!
I am a weaver! You will love it!

We have a simple intarsia pattern releasing fairly soon, so stay tuned.
These colors are amazingly gorgeous. Purple is my favorite color. I am a toddler when it comes to crochet. But I am having fun learning. I would love to learn the granny stitch and so much more.

It’s easy to put everything and everyone else 1st and yourself last. This year I’m going to try to be more conscious about what I want and need. Exercise more, read more, knit more ,more music, just find my happy place more! If I’m happier I think that will lead to a happy me, life ,family, work ect..WIN for everyone!! Hurrah!!

Would love to make a shawl with those lovely colors
I’d like to pearl with my left hand and knit with my right. I want to learn brioche
I am a crocheter who just started knitting in 2021. I have yet to knit a top of some sort. It’s definitely on my to-do list for this year.
I want to learn how to knit. I’ve fallen in love with the beautiful patterns I see on here and want to be able to make them. I also want to try my hand at making dream catchers. I’ve had one hanging over my bed for years and I think they’d make great decor as well as keeping the bad dreams away.
Your yarn is always so amazing and beautiful! This year I would like to start making a pullover dress. But it seems to me a little too difficult a challenge, even if shawls don’t scare me anymore, either in knitting or in crochet. 🙂
I love these colors, a bright spot in an otherwise colorless month! I would like to learn cross stitch, It looks easy but requires skill. Happy New Year 🤗

I would love to be better at making sweaters! My goal was to complete the Sweetgum Cardi by the end of the year. Started it in November and finished it New Years Eve! Yay me! Love the yarns and colors I used, however, the fit was way off. Too short and way too wide. I got gauge but something went wrong. It’s blocking now and I hope that’ll help. But I’m so excited I finished it and achieved my goal! It was a very fun knit but next time will try a different size. Now onto the Swoncho! I LOVE your yarns so much and am so spoiled that I’m finding I exclusive knit with EFA yarns! Thank you to Chandi and the entire EFA staff! Mostly I just want to finish my projects that I’ve started and not start new ones til I’ve finished the old ones. I do want to get back to relearning Tunisian crochet but that might not happen this year since I’m working on making myself a few pairs of crocheted socks and teaching a friend how to do English paper piecing so she can handsew herself a flower garden quilt only that’s been delayed since she and her family are covid positive right now.

I want to try knitting again. It’s been years since I did it. I made a few things, but would get frustrated with how long it took and switched to crochet. I’m hoping I can find a happy medium with maybe doing a knit and a crochet project at the same time and alternate between them.

Hi Chandigarh, I want to learn how to design crochet patterns. I recently crocheted a very unique prayer shawl and would love to do a blanket like it. The shawl constantly changed up its stitches for each row and was made up of 4 different colors repeating. It turned out fabulous and really kept my attention. I also would like to learn to knit.
Beautiful yarns!! My favorite colors! I am going to attempt my first mosaic afghan this year!P
I would like to expand my skills so I create better designs and write my own pattern .
Morning Chandigarh,
I love those colors and just hoping that this time I will win those gorgeous yarns. Have a lot in my list to knit or crochet just cross my fingers. Thank you Chandi to give this opportunity. 🙏😍
Just want to expand my knitting skills. Maybe try brioche.
I’ll never give up crocheting but I got a sewing machine for Christmas and I would love to spruce up those skills. I haven’t really did any sewing since high school and just let me say that was a long time ago….lol. I’ve always wanted to do some embroidery. I know a few stitches from working cross stitch kits but I know there are so many more stitches to learn. Your yarn is so beautiful!! My fingers are crossed for a win.
I’m a crocheter (50+years) who has just started learning to knit (3 years) and I’ve wanted to learn more about brioche and stranded color work and even double knitting… I have made lots of baby blankets in knitting… and need to expand my general knowledge before the specialized areas of knitting. Looking forward to many more years of playing with yarn.
The sheen on those yarns is gorgeous. Love all of the colors!
I am hoping to learn to cable knit this year! I’m normally a crocheter- but cable knitting looks so fun!
I’m a crocheter but I just started knitting and my goal this year is to make more sweaters! It was the whole reason why I decided to switch over since I love the drape of a knit project. I hope you’re enjoying the holidays!!
My coworker gave me a tatting kit for Christmas and I can’t wait to give it a try.
This 2022 I want to learn tunisian!
Happy new year!!! My eyes lit up!!! Those skeins are exactly my colors!! They also just look luxurious!! I’m hoping that this is my lucky new year too and I might win this giveaway…lol
Socks! Socks! Socks! Setting a goal to knit a pair (or several) during 2022
This year I’m going to make something using a Fair Isle pattern!
I love all your patterns and want to make all. Your yarns are so so beautiful and some day I have all HopE..
Hi Chandi & Tim. What beautiful colors you have put together, but my favorites are the purple tones.
The thing I would like to try out this year is crocheting with sock or fingering yarns. They seem so thin, but I love the drape that they have – so luxurious. Thank you for your generous spirits, and of course, your devotion to sharing yourselves and talents with us all. Happy and prosperous New Year.
I’m a crocheter, but I’m making a serious effort to learn how to knit this year.
I am going to learn the brioche stitch this year! I tried once before but got distracted by life.
Your yarns are just so lovely. My 2022 knitting goals are brioche and mosaic color work.
I want to finish the… 5 projects I have going, then maybe try to make a pair of socks.
Also hoping to get my craft room put together (finally)
I would really learn to knit this year.
Happy New Year! Gorgeous colors! I want to complete a sweater for myself and learn to spin this year. I also want to work on color work.
I’m looking forward to learning how to knit fair isle. I’ve always shied away from trying but I found your shawl YouTube video and feel like I want to be brave and try it. 😊
Oooh I love the yarn! I’ve been learning amigurumi style crochet, and have been making lots of cute little critters. Also, I received a needle felting kit for Christmas, so I’m dabbling in that skill and so far so good. Love your channel btw!
After 20 years of knitting, crocheting, and spinning, I finally plan to learn a variety of colorwork techniques. I have done everything in my power to avoid using multiple colors in my projects because I didn’t want to have to weave in a bunch of ends, deal with floats, or worry about jobless stripes. It’s time to grow.
I’m going to start with scrappy socks, and maybe by the end of 2022 I’ll tackle a top down raglan with colorwork in the yoke… maybe.
I would love to learn to spin yarn. It looks so peaceful and relaxing.
Happy new year!
I’m hoping to tackle brioch for the 1st time this year
Last year I have braved a freehand fluffy scarf, a freehand shawl, a beanie with heart design, and started a patterned houndstooth vest in pastels. (In knit and crochet)
This year Im gonna try to brave also shirts, and tatting! And maybe some weaving. But mainly focusing now on trying bigger projects, learning new stitches and making some patterns of my own design, maybe.
I want to learn alllll the things!!! But this year, I’d like to learn to spin my own yarn. I even got the bunny to provide the fiber. I hope to one day be able to say that I actually knit or crocheted something from my own handspun yarn from my own livestock. ❤️
This is the year to learn how to knit socks. I say It every year and it’s definitely time.
Bonjour, je vous suie depuis quelques temps, mais je ne comprends pas l’anglais, alors je devine ,mais je me fais plaisir à regarder vos magnifiques tutos .
Très bonne année 2022 et encore beaucoup de jolies choses.
Véronique
I’d like to learn more crochet (I only started in October!) and get better at my wax carving for lost wax jewelry casting. Crochet is amazingly soothing! Once I’ve conquered that, I’m going to get into knitting. 💜
I absolutely love your yarn! I am hoping to find inspiration in some beautiful yarn this year to tackle a more intricate sweater pattern with lace detailing once I decide on a pattern. Here is to 2022 and new fiber adventures!
I’m new to crocheting, been doing it for a little over a year now. Seriously addicted! However, I’m still using beginner patterns because I apparently don’t know how to read patterns. How do you”level up”, and how do you read patterns??!!!!!
I loved to learn to knit in 2022. I can only crochet for now…
Love your videos and vlog
I want to give cross-stitch a try.
Love, love, love these colors! I’m working on hats and mitts right but hoping to find time to finish my rainbow blanket!
I want to keep learning crochet, but I want to focus on some quilting and sewing as well. Plus, I would love to take a beginner’s weaving class! Happy New Year to everyone!
Happy New Year!
This year I want to learn to knit more evenly. Not exactly exciting or new, but to hone the basics .
Such beautiful yarn – love the colors! I’m hoping to finally dust off the spinning wheel I was given a few years ago and learn to spin.
Happy New Year!
Other than crushing the (very) large pile of WIPs, I’d like to improve my spinning. I learned how to spin singles with a drop spindle, oh, five years ago now, but haven’t yet progressed to plying, so I think that’s where I’m headed next. The other thing (that I say -every- year) is I’d like to actually write up some of my crochet patterns and start sharing them. <3
I would love to see some children’s sweater patterns. I have four grandchildren, 2 boys and 2 girls and love how fast they knit up! Love your videos and yarn!
I want to try adding beading into my work, maybe a beaded shawl or lacey dress.
Happy New Years!! I’m currently trying to learn how to do fair isle knitting. I also want to learn to crochet more
Hello Chandi you gorgeous thing! Thanks so much for posting these giveaways to make most of us dream… and someone’s dream come true! It’s so much fun! Your yarn is beautiful.
In 2022 I plan to learn to dye yarn… and also bead weaving. I’m a new spinner, so dying is clearly next. And I string beads, but not weave, not yet. YouTube makes so much seem so possible! Gosh, remember when we had to go to classes IN PERSON and pay a bunch of money?
Love ya,
Cindy
(Luscious colors -a pleasure just to see!)
As for new skills…not sure, perhaps brioche?
New skills to learn: Anything in knitting beyond the very basics! I’m loving all your yarn and have a hard time resisting purchase, LOL! Happy New Year! Looking forward to what you have planned for 2022!
Happy New Year!
Chcę się nauczyć szyć na maszynie. Marzę już o tym od kilku lat i w tym roku postanowiłam zrealizować to marzenie. Zawsze podziwiam Twoje stylizacje i chciałabym móc tworzyć podobne z połaczenia własnoręcznie uszytych sukienek i chust itd.
Jesteś jedną z najbardziej pozytywnych osób i zawsze przesyłasz tę pozytywną energię w swoich projektach i tutorialach.
Dziękuję Ci za to, co robisz 🥰
Amazing colors
I wanna learn how to make socks! I’ve always wanted to make them but theyve always seemed impossibly hard. But I’m excited! I learned how to make little dolls last year, so here’s to socks for 2022! <3
I would love to learn more about yarn and would love to knit a sweater with cashmere with another yarn.
There is so much to learn and so much to learn about color and yarn combinations.
Hi Chandi , Tim and team !
First, wishing you a Marvelous new year Indeed.
I WILL brioche this year ! and I WILL dip my toes into the pool of Embroidering !
All the best – looking forward to 2022 with you ~
marcia
Chandi,
What a splendid way to start the year! I’m teaching beginner and intermediate knitting courses, and an embroidery course, so developing new patterns to give my students is a skill I’m working on. I also want to try brioche and colourwork, and finally figure out crochet!
May your January be truly spectacular!
I want to learn how to finish projects😂 I have so many WIPs – crochet, knit, seeing and a quilt all needing finished.
Just discovered you, and very excited to try a few of your creations!
Hi Chandi! I really enjoyed the holiday photos from Alaska. Thanks for sharing. We got a fresh foot of snow here as well. A clean slate, the new year gleaming with possibility!
I really love to knit and crochet beautiful clothing. I feel radiant when I wear a garment that I made. The yarn and I have sometimes spent months going everywhere together, so it’s kind of like hanging out with a great friend.
Sewing seems like a natural progression for me. So this year, I am going to begin bonding with my sewing machine. I’m planning to start simple with some cozy clothes that are like a warm hug! Mainly pyjamas and sweatshirts, though I do have a lovely (if not ambitious) summer dress that I hope to have the confidence to tackle by the time it begins warming up!
I am hoping to expand my knitting. I am trying to learn several new stitches. Brioche is next then mosaic.
Happy New Year to you and your HUBS!! Wishing you a healthy, joyous, and lovely 2022! 💞 I crochet, but have been interested in picking up knitting. I think I may first learn Tunisian crochet. I haven’t looked yet to see if you have any such videos, but if there are none….I would be interested in some! Knitting will then be next on the list! Stay well!
My first project is to learn to make a crochet sweater with my handspun yarn. I just started and it’s only the second time that I actually use a pattern…hope it turns out. I definitely want to make more tops for the summer as well….and maybe one of your gorgeous shawls!
I want to learn to knit my own socks and mittens this year.
Happy New Year to you and everyone here! I am hoping for a better year this year, last year was rough for a lot of us I am sure. I am looking forward to learning how to do tunisian crochet, is that what it is called? I think so but could be wrong. Lovely and generous giveaway as usual, you have the most amazing beautiful colors! Thank you for the chance to win such beauties!
Happy new year to you and yours.
I already started to learn something new, it is an Italian bobbin lace technique called Fiandra a tre paia. Let’s see if I find the time to improve other techniques, too.
My daughter has been in the hospital since July 19, 2021. I have been knitting nothing but mindless blankets as a way of whiling away the time in the hospital. I can’t wait to knit something, anything that will challenge me to use my brain! Any suggestions?
We have some beautiful knitted sweater patterns at https://www.expressionfiberarts.com/categories/patterns.html?_bc_fsnf=1&Project+Type=Pullovers&Craft=Knit
I hope your daughter recovers soon. Sending you a big hug.
Happy New Year everyone! As always, these are absolutely gorgeous!!🤩🤩I’ve been wanting to learn how to do cables & brioche for sooooo long..maybe I’ll give it a try this year..lol Thanks for the chance to win!! Good luck everyone!🍀
Yeeesssss…..socks..i watched a few videos..Fears aside..I will try! Chandi, I would love to learn how to felt. That looks like such fun! Hope your new year in Alaska was relaxing and enjoyable for you and Tim both. Here’s to winning in 2022!💜💜💜
Id love to crochet bulky sweaters, but I’m truly happy crocheting your shawls and scarfs…..addicted!!!!!
Happy New Year! This year, I’m really hoping to learn how to knit socks and gloves!
I crochet mostly, love lace and fingering weights. I’m going to learn yarn dyeing this year, and I’d love to learn how to spin.
I would love to improve my knitting skills this year!
Brioche would be a neat new knitting technique for me to try to pick up this year—I’ve always been intrigued! Or learning to watercolor paint, or acrylic pour!
I want to learn to make socks
Having crocheted all these years would love to master knitting this year.
After doing the basics of blankets and doilies for years, in 2021 I decided to challenge myself in the hopes that it would help with my PTSD and bipolar. I started making shows, then moved to beanies, scarves , washcloths, bags and face scrubbies, and I must say, I became rather good at these when using the easy to advanced beginner patterns.
In 2022 I’m hoping to step out of my comfort zone again and take the next step and try harder patterns. I have a lot saved but have been too scared of failing at them to try them. So, with the help of my counselor, and everyone else, by the end of 202/ intermediate patterns will be a piece of cake. That’s my hopes, prayers and dreams at least … lol.
I’ve been saving money on the side to be able to buy enough of this yarn to make something special for my mother-in-law, who is my best friend and for the past 26 years, more of a mother to me than my own ever was.
There are a few patterns I got from here that I absolutely love and want to try my hardest to make for her, one of which is Duha (or Duhe), last month’s CAL pattern that, due to life, I am still working on and determined to finished.
Happy New Year! I’d love to learn Tunisian crochet.
I am hoping to improve my overall skills and learn new stitches this year. My main goal is just to craft more in general!
Happy New Year All – my goal this year is improving my skills in knitting socks! Happy knitting everyone!
Happy New Year ….this year I’d like to expand my skills w/ both Tunisian & Mosaic crochet……I’ve made a few items in both disciplines but still have much to learn. I dream of the possibilities of creating something/ anything w/ your luxurious yarns in either or both techniques. Many thanks for the chance to win these gorgeous yarns. 🤞🏻
I would love a pattern for a hip-length swingy cardigan with a wide portrait collar and asymmetrical fastening. I think that style would look wonderful in your alpaca/silk or pearlescent yarns. Gorgeous colours and drape. And your presentation is luscious – it is a joy to watch your videos and look at the photographs! Thank you!
I adore your yarn colours and this year I hope to improve my sweater fitting skills
Nalbinding
Happy new year Chandi
Thank you for your awesome tutorials and your lovely yarns. Appreciate all the amazing stitches that you combine in your shawls.
Good luck to all and hope I win 😘🌹
I want to learn how to knit a sweater. It’s so daunting to me that’s I’m afraid to start. I have a friend who wants a Harry Potter themed cardigan v-neck and I’m having a hard time finding patterns that I can understand and that have her size and that use thin yarn. I hate working in flat so also finding something worked in the round has been difficult.
I got a book on bookbinding so I’m planning on learning more about that.
This year I’d like to find the joy in knitting again and finish the shawl I started two years ago (my very first knitted shawl!). Of course if I were to win the yarns I’d probably make my first top and second pair of fingerless mitts 🙂 I’ve got a couple of your patterns just waiting for the right yarn.
I also like to cosplay and this year I want to sew a new costume, probably a water fairy, the pattern is so pretty. It will be a stretch goal for me in terms of skill but it should be fun to finish!
Happy New Year to all! And oh, such luscious colours, as ever!! I am venturing into a couple of new territories – just started my first stranded-colourwork sweater, so maybe Ichor will happen this year :o) In non-crafty adventures, I am starting to learn Icelandic; being Danish, I should have a fairly easy time of it ;o)
Chandi! You’re yarn is gorgeous! I want to learn how to spin this year. Thanks for all you do. ❤️
This year is Tunesian crochet learning. Something I have been wanting to do. I have found a year long CAL that will teach me, yet still have time to finish my other wipes. I hope!
Hi Chandi. Thanks for all your beautiful yarn and content. Currently I only crochet, so this year I intend to learn to knit. I am so inspired every time I watch your tutorials! Have a happy and healthy 2022
Hi Chandi.
You’ve excelled yourself with this month’s giveaway!! WOW!! Love your yarns and patterns, especially the crochet ones. After my stroke I struggle to knit nowadays, but will keep trying. Lots of your great crochet patterns to try in the meantime! 👍😃😃🧶
I LOVE your yarns and your tutorials are so inspiring. So much so that I now have so much yarn to make the wrap/poncho Mantlemist…cross fingers it’ll get finished!
Thank you for this awesome giveaway! I want to master my Circular Sock Machine (CSM) and donate socks to our local homeless shelters.
I knit for the love it. I want to continue with intrasia and hope to do something in brioche. I have been experimenting with different sizes needles in sock making. 2022 will be the best year yet for fiber making.
Gorgeous yarn! I love purples. This year I want to learn to knit, and like it. My mother tried to teach me when I was very young. Half way through a scarf I got bored and quit. She finished it for herself. Your beautiful knit patterns inspire me to give knitting another chance. Secondly, I’m learning to sew my own bras. I’ve been garment sewing since age 10 and I need a new challenge.
Such beautiful colors!! I would love to learn to knit color work. I really have trouble with charts though.
I only crochet but think I would like to learn to knit.
This year I want to continue learning to make Dorset and other wrapped and embellished buttons.
I’ve been crocheting for years but I’m just a beginner knitter and hope to work on that skill this year!
The best of the year to everyone, which will hold challenges as well as joys. I love looking at the pictures and then the colours that you make from their inspiration. I’m hoping to finish a number of projects this year. I do more sewing than knitting, but have made 32 baby blankets (straight knitting) for staff at work over the past few years. Once I started I couldn’t not do one for the next baby!! And they’re all young staff so they keep coming!!
I’m currently working on arm warmers for a friend who does long walks. Four needles and increasing, etc. I’ve just gotten to the thumb part!! We’ll see how it looks finished!! Would love try some of your yarn for those if I make them correctly!!!
I want to have another try at Portugese and Russian knitting this year. Also brioche
Wow! This yarn is so beautiful! I just started my first crochet graphghan. So learning how to use bobbins is first on the list. Second, I would like to learn brioche knitting.
I learned how to knit top down plain vanilla socks by watching tv during the pandemic. I would like to learn how to make the lovely scarves and shawls that I see you make in some of your tutorials. I would also like to learn about the different kinds of hand-dyed yarns—the different bases, etc.—and how to select the correct yarn for the project.
Happy new year Chandi and team <3
I'm slowly teaching myself to knit. I'm hoping to keep getting better at that and to continue to get better at reading knit and crochet patterns.
am just finishing the neck ribbing of your KNIT YOUR OWN SWEATER video course
what fun !!
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to win your gorgeous yarn each month. I can’t imagine the rush of joy for the winner when they open that box!
I plan to learn how to crochet in 2022. I learned how to knit in early 2021 and am in LOVE with the feel of yarn and the creativity. I love seeing the “project” become a loving and beautiful piece of art. And I love gifting my pieces. I also love the learning, the trial and error, the acceptance of mistakes and over coming those mistakes.
I also want to try to possibly switch to shift my knitting style and I’d love to felt a yarn bowl.
Thank you for investing your time and talent with me.
I would love to learn more Elf hat patterns. I am having so much fun making them but I don’t have a real pattern.
I would like to perfectly knitting skills since I only recently taught myself how to knit(I am a crocheter). I would also like to try knitting socks since I’ve only done a basic stitch in a chunky scarf.
I have knit socks for over 25 years but I would like to learn color work. Happy New Year Everyone
Hello Chandi, the colours of your yarns are amazing! Right now I finished the Red Velvet Rose shawl from your blog. Also, the video tutorial on your YouTube channel is really great and helpful. I have several plans for this year. I would like to crochet another shawl – Adalia and some tank tops for summer. The biggest challenge for me is to learn new creative techniques, for example needle tatting and micro macrame.
All the best!
Ildikó
I watch your live shows and your bubbling, positive attitude inspires me.
At the moment I’m knitting a cardigan for myself from my own hand spun merino and silk… once finished,
I’d like to try my hand at crocheting a scarf or beanie by watching you tube.
I usually spin my own yarn/fibres, but would LOVE to win your give away.
Bit difficult for me to buy yarn from overseas on my small pension.
Happy New Year! I want to learn how to spin this year. Specifically with a drop spindle as it looks relaxing and could use some time to just be. Good luck all! ☺️
Your yarn looks gorgeous as always
I am hoping to figure out magic loop knitting this year.
Your wool looks gorgeous! I would like to learn more knitting techniques this year. Entrelac, steeking and double knitting.
Hi Chandi! Happy new year! I’d like to learn to knit with my rigth hand (english style) so i can knit stranded colorwork with yarn in my both hands.
Hello Chandi, I have just purchased the lovely yarn for the Tamsyn project (birthday gift for my daughter-in-law). Would absolutely love a bérèt pattern either knit or crochet (this is the new fab in Canada instead of a tuque). A beautiful modern or vintage bérèt would suit you in your photos.
I want to learn to knit socks this year and your sincere sock yarn is an inspiration!
GOOD LUCK! to all
I love purple! It’s my absolute favorite color! I just got married and would love to learn how to make matching sweaters for the two of us!
I would like to learn double knitting, brioche, and venture into colorwork!
I want to learn two-color brioche and improve my crochet.
I am hoping to learn about the basic maths behind different sweater shapes and how to best fit them to my shape. I’d also like to try designing something, even if it is just for me.
Happy New Year to all! I started out knitting (self taught) but have found that I much prefer crocheting (also self taught). I’ve tried simple stitch Tunisian crochet and find it very soothing….love the fabric it makes, but would love to find out good ways to prevent the curling, lol. So far most of my projects are blankets, scarves, shawls, etc. I’ve tried making simple pieces of clothing, but would love to make something a little more complex. Maybe this year…..???
I love knitting with your yarn. This year I plan on learning how to knit brioche.
Happy New Year!
OMG Chandi this is an amazing giveaway!!!
I would like to learn how to crochet socks this year. I’ve been afraid to try because I hear they are hard but this year I want to face that fear. I’m determined to make a handmade Christmas for everyone I know and love this year. I attempted, that for 2021 and didn’t budget my time accordingly so I was mostly successful but fell a little short. I think if I could learn how to crochet socks (smaller projects than I attempted in 2021), I’ll have better success this year.
Your yarn is soooo gorgeous I am hopeful to be able to purchase some this year. I am thinking of trying to learn to knit this year. I learned crochet this last year and loving it.
Oooh, just love this! The sheen, the colors…Mmmmmm
What a yummy pile of fun is January’s Yarn Giveaway! I’m all set to add collage quilting to my fiberart repertoire. And I plan to master using a feather pattern in my free-motion quilting.
I’m a knitter, so I want to learn how to crochet. My great grandmother taught me how to finger crochet chains when I was very young. She could knit and crochet so fast it looked like the needles were flying! I’m so grateful that I have her knitting needles and crochet hooks!
I want to complete a sweater that I began in November (my first), and I want to learn how to use my new InstaPot!
What gorgeous colorways! During 2022, I’m working on my Tunisian crochet skills. I’ve made a handful of dishcloths in different stitches just to practice, and I’m hoping to plan a bigger Tunisian project soon.
Beautiful yarn! I started ceramics classes last year and there are SO MANY things/skills I still want to learn.
OMG your yarn is my favorite! The colorways, the texture and the quality are just the best. I only wish I could buy more. LOL
Semi retired so the budget is pretty strict.
I love the thought that I could win this lovely colorway.
I want to learn to Double Knit
Your yarns are utterly gorgeous !!!! I’d like to get better at picking up stitches. I think it’s more just the fear of doing it wrong that holds me back. So I need to conquer my fears as well.
Good morning! What a stunning collection of yarn! I am a knitter. I just finished your Mantlemist pattern. It is amazing! I just love your patterns and yarn! 😊 I would love to learn entrelac as well as brioche knitting soon. Blessings to you!
I’m hoping to learn Tunisian crochet in 2022, as well as sock knitting.
Knit through my stash. I have lovely Expression fiber arts yarn and live it. Just finished a sweater with candy cane lane and it’s so much nicer than expected. Good luck to you all.
Hi! Gorgeous yarn, as always!
This year, I’d like to FINALLY dig into weaving on my rigid heddle loom (which I’ve had since 2010).
Want to get started learning a better way for colorwork.. Mosaic work and continued effort on lace.. love your color palettes!!
I would like to try spinning. I am planning on ordering my first spinning wheel in February. Beyond that, I want to brush up on my knitting skills, as I am only good at crochet at present.
Happy New Year to every fiber friend out there! I’m excited to learn how to knit more complex things instead of just making and gifting scarves 😆
I would like to take up weaving and learning a new knit stitch to use in my projects. I also would like to work on becoming a faster knitter. I love to watch fast knitters, I’m always in awe of how they can knit and watch literally everything else that is going on around them!
This year I want to finish my first tops. I have a knit tank, a crochet top, and a shrug all on my list for this year! I am both hopeful and terrified that I might get addicted to knitting tops.
I’m hoping to expand on the skills I do have, and learn as many more as I can. Also to become better with my non dominant hand. I’ve admired your yarns for years, but money has always been tight.
I adore all the beautiful yarn in your shop – I wish I had unlimited funds so I could get all of it! This year, I would like to learn either Tunisian crochet or how to knit. I’ve tried knitting in the past but crochet was so much easier for me to learn. Knitting was quite the challenge and I just threw it over and kept with crochet. I think I’d like to give it another try.
I’ve been process knitting for so long that I think this year I shall return to something a tad more challenging, probably lace which I have done in the past. BTW, the yarns in this month’s giveaway are beyond gorgeous!!!! I would definitely share with knitting friends if I were to win, as I’m already at SABLE. 🙂
I hope to learn to spin and weave this year.
I’d love video tutorials for knitting socks and mittens, and fitted garments – gearing up for next Christmas gift giving. Also, provisional cast-on intimidates me, which is why I haven’t started knitting Prairie Ghost yet. I’ve tried to do a provisional cast-on a few times and wound up with a mess.
Current wips are my third Sonder shawl (this one blends two skeins of Dulce and one skein of Besito in Sincere Sock yarn. It’s turning out so pretty and makes me think of the color palette in Monet’s “Water Lilies” paintings. I think Sonder is my favorite shawl pattern because it’s mindless knitting), Montaigne in Poppy Sincere Sock yarn, and soon to cast on Enchanted in two shades of gray.
Happy New Year! The colors this time are perfect–muted but rich! I for one would like to learn how to double knit…have tried what was labeled an easy cowl no less than 4 times and it just does not come out right…so, it’s the one thing on the wish list to accomplish. Thanks for the opportunity and keep the beauty shining through.
I’m hoping to up my pattern-making skills over the next year and do some tech editing for others… I’m also hoping to up my crochet game with cabling and i-cords. I want to learn all the things!
I would like to learn mosaic crochet and to knit this year.
Always such fabulous colourways! I will not be venturing on this year with any new skills – too many to use and not enough time to use any of them! But my hope is that I will take more time to enjoy my crafting and hobbies.
Love the look of your yarns and have tried a couple of patterns. I’m trying out blogging this year about my knitting, so looking forward to it 🙂
I’m planning on learning more advanced crochet stitches
I like to keep challenging myself with more difficult patterns and learning new stitches and techniques. Happy New Year!
I am considering learning to spin. Just not sure I have the space for more supplies!
I really want to catch up on my wip and finish at least one knitted project
I’m mostly a knitter with basic crochet skills…not super keen on the knotty/chunky look of crochet, but occasionally find a pattern I would like to do (like Kola Street). So my goal is to get better with my crochet skills. To that end, I will be doing a “habits blanket” with relationship to losing weight this year. (It’s like a temperature blanket, but to track your success in changing your habits.) I will be doing an African flower motif using yarn that is approx. sport weight…so this will be more of a wrap than a blanket.
I would also like to get better at making doilies and I would love to find some beautiful mandala patterns to create a wall hanging….I’ve seen many beautiful ones made, but can’t find similar patterns, so am wondering if they were self-designed.
Thank you for your beautiful emails and posts…yours are some of the few emails I open and read in full. You’re yarn is so drool-worthy…too bad my job gets in the way of my making-time as there are so many knitting techniques I have yet to master!
OMGee is right! I love all of your yarns. Wish I could squish all of them! Happy New Year!
I love this month’s selections, wow, stunning! This year I would like to take the next step in learning to knit beyond garter stitch, but i have to finish my first knitted project before i can tackle the next thing. Baby steps! Also more crochet cables please – they are so much fun to do and the effect in merino DK or sport is simply sumptuous.
I inherited my grandmother’s knitting machine and would love to learn how to use it, along with learning new handknitting techniques.
I’d like to improve my knitting, particularly lace knitting.
I love Lace Knitting but didn’t do much knitting for myself when my boys were younger. Now that they are grown, I am trying to get back into Lace Knitting but find I am frogging a lot. I would like to practice and become more proficient.
Another fantastic giveaway! Thank you for your generosity. I’m always looking for random tips that improve the way l knit.
Happy new year
Wow fingers crossed on this gorgeous giveaway. I’m loving the new pantone color (periwinkle) which is one of my absolute favorite colors next to all things teal!! I would love to learn brioche this year and maybe intarsia. Here’s to an amazing 2022!
I want to learn to do a provisional cast on… and maybe learn to knit continental style so I can knit a bit faster…
Happy New Year! Thank you for yet another generous giveaway! I would like to crochet something for myself this year, maybe a sweater or cardigan – I’ve only been making projects for my family, which I also love!
This year I want to finish one of my WIP blankets that have both been on needles for 4+ years! I’m also going to venture to try Portuguese knitting again, I tried it years ago and couldn’t quite get it, but I bought a shoulder pin and hope that’ll be better than wrapping it round my neck!
I would love to learn duplicate stitching and embroidery so I could more fully embellish my knitting.
Hi, My plan for this year is to learn mosaic, c2c.
This year I’m going to learn continental knitting. Since I’ve been a crocheter for many years it seems like it would be easier to learn. I absolutely love your yarns. Thank you for all that you share with us
I would love to do more lace knitting this year, plus Work on my quality. I get distracted and forget where I am in a pattern and can miss a stitch or put it in the wrong place.
Hi Chandi! What a generous and gorgeous giveaway! I’ve been crocheting for over twenty years, but you influenced my decision to teach myself to knit this year and I am so glad I did. Thank you for all the inspiration. Such beautiful patterns. This year, I have learning cabling, brioche and socks are all on my list of things to learn. I also very much want to try one or five of your shawl patterns. Thank you again for the contest. I hope you stay healthy and shiny in the new year.
I would love to get my knitting needles organized by size into some type of organizer. Right now they are sorted by type: straights, double points, circular. I would like to learn how to go from a loose knitter to a tighter knitter to meet gauge. I drop down a lot of needle sizes right now. By the end of the project, it looks like I should have dropped down even one more size.
These yarns are just beautiful!!!
I would like to work on a better way to organize my stash! I know I have tons of material to work with but it never seems to be at my fingertips when I’m ready to use it
These colors are so beautiful! Like sunset over a frozen lake…love! This year I plan to learn even more crochet skills and learn to use my Cricut! Happy New Year Chandi!
Wow, so much beautiful yarn!
I want to try out knooking this year to make knitted socks without knitting, and want to improve in Tunesian crochet.
I’d love to figure out how to tell the difference in weight or size of yarn. I have a lot that could be fingering, lace, sock, or something else. Is there any way to tell?
Your yarn colors always wow me and again you didn’t disappoint, Happy New Year and I wish you and Tim an awesome 2022. As for my wishes in 2022, continued good health, lots of hiking and fingering weight garment knitting with a tubular cast on along the way 🙂
Beautiful colors! I want to get better at making socks, and I also need a better system to organize my stash!
Such beautiful yarn as always. 💕. Thank you for this wonderful contest and good luck everyone. 😊. There are so many things I want to learn such as knitting a shawl, crocheting an afgan, embroidery, paper quilling, Scandinavian paper cutting, making feathers from plaid clothing, baking sourdough bread, playing ukulele to name a few. 😊
Your shinning yarns are the best. I would like to learn about german short rows and how to shape a garment using them.
First, thank you for all your sage advice. This year I really want to learn MORE. Plain and simple. I’ve been working on finishing a sweater I started in 1989 !!
It’s making me crazy but I am determined to finish it and wear it. Learning a lot along the way. Love your colors.
On 12/30/21 I was blessed with my first grandbaby, Jude (named in honor of my mom, Judy). In 2022, I’m hoping to learn more about making baby clothes and toys/stuffed animals. Many of your colorways are absolutely beautiful and the skeins I’ve ordered so far will make something stunning for little baby Jude! Take care 💚
A fairisle steeked cardigan — wish me luck!
I want to make my first sweater or cardigan this year.
I want to try crochet earrings, necklaces and bracelets.
I’d love to learn to weave
I would like to learn (proficiently) different cast ons and bind offs. Also, I want to learn to Brioche knit.
I want to learn color work, and knit a sweater with a colorwork yoke! I was able to teach myself how to knit, while holding two strands of yarn (one in each hand) and found it fascinating that I was able to do it, and that the fabric that comes is so pretty. The only thing is that the fabric comes out thick, and I live in a very warm climate, but I love the colors and how it all blends… It seems the mechanics of it is not too hard, need more practice, and to learn how to read a chart and make my brain and hands work together😁
Would love to learn mosaic and color work plus knit a sweater and learn how to put together
Crochet and revive my calligraphy❣️
I want to try my hand at a rug this year, even if it just turns out to be a bed for my kitten.
Happy New Year to all!!! Hope we have some semblance of peace, calm and order this year! Your instructions and tutorials are awesome and yarn is stunning! Have stayed away from patterns that are knitted in sections because the “sewing” together is overwhelming although experts on videos make it look easy! I cross stitch, crochet, and knit but sewing is something else so may tackle that this year!!! Need to knit more and faster to keep up with yarn I order!!! Hugs to all!
It’s my birthday in February so winning this contest would be a great gift!
In 2022 I want to get better at drawing. I used to do it a lot but stopped in 2008 due to reasons. Now that I’m writing again, I want to draw my characters!
Planning to learn mosaic and color work this year… and maybe a sweater.
I made a goal to be more crafty this year! Crocheting and Knitting is on that list! Getting new yarn to play with would be awesome!
Happy New Year!!! I would like to increase my knowledge of knitting in general. It bewilders me that a strand of yarn, a tool and imagination can make such beautiful and useful items.
I just started knitting in mid November 2021. For 2022 I’m hoping to improve my knitting skills and to save up enough money to buy some of your lovely yarns.
Chandi.
I have always loved your yarn bases and your colors. This giveaway has a such nice selection of yarn weights, bases, and some of my favorite jewel tones that I feel it is Karma that I win.
Thanks sooo much, NVC.

This year I’d like to work on my blocking and finishing skills. I’d also like to get better at lace knitting.
I love your yarns! I learned short rows this past year, now I want to learn new techniques of the beautiful shawls I see. This promises to be a year of doctor appointments, so I’ll have plenty of time. sigh.

Hiya Lovely Chandi, I love All your yarns and colourway and the patterns so much. I live in UK and wish I was closer so I could spend a small fortune ! I would love to dye yarn in the colours you do but I wouldn’t want to upset you. I would only dye for my own use but the yarns are so pretty, I’m missing out! 🙁 I want to try so many things that I have a list! Lol. I wish all who have entered Good Luck and a nicer Year! Xx carry on Crafting! Andrea from UK
There’s so many different fiber arts that I still need to learn, but for now I’m going to learn Tunisian crochet. My Nana always made Tunisian stitch blankets. I was fascinated by the stitch pattern long before I learned how to knit and crochet. It’s about time that I learned.
Wow, these colors are amazing!
I’m looking forward to learning brioche this year. I know the basics, but want to get comfortable enough to tackle all of the beautiful but complicated-looking patterns that I’ve favorited on Ravelry. 🙂
I’ve knit mostly scarves, hats, cowls, and wraps, but I am looking to venture into socks or fair isle knitting next. I’m currently working on the Mysa wrap, from your patterns, as a gift for my mom.
Love those colors! I’m hoping try colorwork this year.
For most of my life I’ve been a crocheter, but of course, I’m still learning. This year I plan on tackling mosaic crochet. A few years ago I picked up knitting and I want to get more proficient at lace knitting.

I would also LOVE to learn how to crochet cardigans.
I am currently working on a boyfriend cardigan
I love your yarn and all the GORGEOUS colors! I want to try Roositude-estonian colorwork. I’ve
watched some videos of the technique but haven’t tackled it yet. I knit miniature sweaters about 3×3 inches for Christmas ornament gifts for friends in my knitting group and plan to do that again this year. I’d like to knit a cardigan or top for myself as well various gift items, hats and scarves for charity. I love trying new techniques and patterns, just finishing gloves for a friend.
I need to learn a tubular cast on and a better cast on for top down socks
The giveaway bundle colors are beautiful! I want to make something with all the colors! Last year I learned inlaid and overlaid mosaic crochet. This year I’m hoping to learn and master brioche knitting!
I would like to learn how to knit gloves, either with full length fingers or half length fingers and perhaps a beanie hat! I learnt how to knit socks last year. Happy New Year. I love all the emails you send. I find them inspirational and always helpful for the day ahead.
This year, I hope to continue learning how knit! I’m loving it and I am trying to be brave and confident in my new ability so I can start knitting socks. I find it intimidating, but I’ll probably fall in love with it like I have everything else.
OMG! You put all my favourite colours into one big, beautiful bundle!
I would love to learn colour theory so I can be confident in my colour decisions when straying from the pattern colour depicted.
Every year I say this is the year I’ll learn how to do steeks. Maybe this year will finally be the year. 😅
Happy New Year! I would love to try Tunisian crochet this year and complete my Plateaus poncho and my Slipdream shawl. I would also like to slowly move into knitting sweaters that fit – I have made a few attempts and they are always slightly off…..practice makes perfect (I hope!). Wishing everyone a great knitting/crocheting 2022!
I am new to knitting. I have chosen to make a blanket by combining several squares. Each set of squares I learn something new, today was casting off. Today I successfully completed my 1st square. It looks great and I had fun making it. Now to make 3 more before moving to the next lesson. I will have to figure out how to add when I get to the end of my 1st skein.
Hello,
I have been observing you for over a year. I love your short youtube films. You really love what you do.
I live in Sweden, and I would like to do matching cosy jumpers for me and my girls. And of course socks, plenty of socks. Do not stop, create more of more beauty, we all need it
Best regards, Joanna
I want to learn two color brioche and double knitting. Those are two things I’ve yet to do and want to learn. I would forget quickly after learning but when I’d want to do it again, and re-learn, there’s still some muscle memory and it’s easier each time I have to re-learn things.
Hi Chandi
I would love to learn cable knitting. When you did the sweater tutorial and helped us finish the sweater step by step, that was so good for me.
It kept me motivated and I have actually finished two sweaters with that pattern, thanks to that tutorial.
Could you do another wearable item like a sweater or hat or fingerless gloves, using cable knitting for beginners? Thank you.
I’d like to learn how to successfully knit socks. No matter how many times I’ve tried, I always make them too tight.
Thank you for the chance to win this amazing yarn. Hopefully one day my luck will turn with both the knitting and the winning. Ha.
Have a great day!
I want to learn to do tunican stitches. Always thought about it and even bought some hooks but never got around to learning.
I crochet but would love to learn how to knit. Some of the knot patterns are so beautiful.
I’m planning on knitting my first sweater this year. My friend, who is an excellent knitter, is going to help me with the fit! I’m so excited!

I would love to be skilled at knitting socks.
What gorgeous colors! I would love to learn brioche knitting.
i want to learn how to design a pattern. thanks for the lovely giveaway.
2022 is the year I learn to spin! I bought a wheel last year and retired so now I have more time to devote to spinning. Thank you for all your encouraging posts.
I want to learn more about hand dying, and really dig into getting some yarn dyed this year. I have a kit of natural dyes I want to play with and see how to get the color sautration I want, and avoid making accidental browns in my yarn.
you stuff is so pretty! i want to learn more lace stiches to embillish my weaving this year
This year I want to master the brioche technique and to possibly design my first pattern. Knitting and crochet is my escape to crippling anxiety given these complex times and environment. I feel like I heal and love more with every stitch.
WOW! These yarns are breathtaking! (But, aren’t they always?!!) I have been designing crochet wearables lately & LOVING it! It is so freeing to be able to create something tailored to me (or whoever I’m making for) So, this year, I’d like to hopefully sell some makes & publish my own patterns. I have no idea where to begin, but that’s the plan! Thanks, Chandi! GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!!

I am planning on learning colorwork, with the Falling Stars pattern. I’ve done gauge swatches and its so fun!
I’m hoping I can figure out spinning this year. I bought some supplies last year and haven’t gotten around to it yet!
Brioche!
I’d love to learn sewing garments such as T-Shirts (to begin with) and blouses (for a more adventurous time). I just bought myself some fabrics and I’m going to see how far I can get in this sewing journey. Maybe I could even try to add knitted or crocheted pieces my sewed clothes. 🙂
Your yarns are gorgeous! 🧶😍
If I had the money, I’d buy your yarn for every single project I make (knit or crochet)… 🤗🥰
Done a little bit of crochet in the past so only a beginner… looking forward to making some of your shawls!! Maybe I’ll even make a blanket or some socks… Your yarns are all so pretty 🥰
I really want to try to crochet and do more cross stitching. I’ve only ever dabbled in both, so it would be nice to really explore both of them!
I found your website in early December. I am absolutely fascinated! I began knitting and crocheting 66 years ago at age 7.
My mother owned a speciality fabric and yarn shop from 1960-1980. She sold the best yarns and fabrics available. Obviously, in those years that did not include the wonderful hand dyed yarns available, today.
The Pearlescent Worsted I ordered just before Christmas has arrived. This yarn is beautiful. I am looking forward to knitting with it this week. Now that I have my first order of your yarn, I will be selecting other yarns/colors.
You asked about ‘what we like to try/learn in 2022’. I have always wanted to learn to spin my own yarn. Your video is very inspiring.
This year I would like to learn brioche knitting.
Hello Chandi! Thank you for gorgeous yarns giveaway. Your youtube videos on knitting inspired me so much I’d like to learn knitting this year aside from my love for crocheting. It’ll be lovely to try your fingering yarns for the knitting! Happy 2022!
I really want to learn how to knit brioche and two-color brioche.
Hi Chandi! I hope you have a great 2022. I’d really like to learn fine, cobweb weight Shetland and Estonian lace. I have the yarn (thread, really!) and the patterns chosen, but things keep getting in the way–most recently my mother’s third bout with cancer. I *will* do it this year!
This year I am going to learn to crochet cables Love the look of cables. Your yarns are so luxurious, love the colors and fibers. Thank you for so many wonderful patterns also!
I want to learn more about weaving. Also want to do cables.
I would like to learn to do socks using the magic loop method. I also want to learn stranded knitting, holding the yarn and tension for this are a challenge for me.
I am going to learn how to do mosaic knitting – love the finished look of it. Happy New Year to you!
Wow Chandi, what a generous giveaway. You have the most beautiful yarns. I know how to tunisian crochet, but I would love to learn tunisian in the round for a hat. Have a great January and thank you so much!
This year I am going to learn more about coping with stress. I also plan to better understand how to read a crochet pattern.I’ve got a project I have been putting off too long and it would make it much easier to understand if I can accomplish this.
I plan to learn watercolor painting and embroidery in 2022. I just have to convince myself to put down the crochet projects to make time for them!

I would love to learn tunisian in the round
Wanting to learn continental knitting since I am a thrower! Lol
Also hoping to improve my knitting skills. 🙂
Hello Chandi. This month’s give away is stunning and very generous of you. Crochet is my happy place so I am always eager to learn anything new. I started off knitting in my teens but crochet is what I love most now, I find it very therapeutic and rewarding when my projects are finished. I have followed your tutorials too. I am keen to learn how to design and crochet more wearables like tunics, cover-ups, and just more drapey goodness. Thank you for all you and your team do to make us all better knitters and crocheters.
I found out this past year that I have ADD which explains so much about the first 50 years of my life, like not finishing projects and feeling terribly guilty about it. I have resolved to keep the written pattern with my project(s) and regularly jot notes about my progress, so that when I inevitably walk away for a time, I can return and pick it back up. I suppose this means the new skill I’m exploring is self-acceptance and working with who I am and how my brain works.
Hi Chandi! I am fairly new to the fiber arts, but I am having a blast learning! I’ve been crocheting for a year now, and just learned to knit a few weeks ago. I had a question: I do a lot of treasure hunting in yard sales, estate sales and thrift shops. If I happen across twisted hanks in my treasure hunting adventures, is it safe to say they would most likely be hand dyed? I should probably grab them, regardless, especially if I like the colors, huh? Thanks 🙂
I’m so excited that you’re learning so much! I would say most of the twisted hanks that you find are probably hand-dyed. Regardless, if you see some yarn that you love, you should definitely grab it! Have fun!
I love learning new crochet stitches and dreaming about what I will make with your yarn!
Ooooohhh! Beautiful yarns! When each of my grandchildren were born I knitted baby blankets covered in heart motifs so they would always be wrapped in Grandma’s love, the oldest is now 21 and I’m sad to say those were some of my last knitted projects. So, this year I want to reboot and knit something for myself.
What wonderful gifts you gave them!
HI I would love to learn to make charts for my designs- and I absolutly love your yarns and pattern
I have been crocheting for many years. But I have only learned the basics of knitting. So for 2022 my goal is to actually make something knitted. I absolutely love the way a sweater looks knitted.
Can’t wait to try your yarn!!!!!
I want to make more Tunisian crochet this year I love the beautiful effect of it but haven’t completed a project with it yet.
I would love to learn to knit lace patterns. Charts are not my friends 😩
when I was little my friends’ grandmother was blind and when she would come to town to visit she would teach me how to knit. when she passed I didn’t have anyone to work with so I stopped. I’ve just started back up so I would love to learn anything
I’d love to learn about how to spin my own yarn, but doing so while living in a small motorhome with my two geriatric cats and taking care of my younger (57 year old) sister who has been diagnosed with young-onset dementia.
I know how to crochet but this year I would like to learn how to knit so I can start making your amazing knitting patterns!🧶
Gorgeous colors, as usual! I love to knit but this year I would like to deepen my crochet skills as well.
Hi!
I really, really want to learn how to crochet graphghans this year. I saw a tutorial on how to make a sweater with a bunch of cats on it and it’s super cute. But more than that I want to learn how to crochet my own graphghan pieces so I can make the cartoons and animals I love and wear it!
I want to learn how to knit a cardigan. I have never made one before because I haven’t seen a video that I liked until I came across yours. Such beautiful colors and designs!! I can’t wait to start!! 🥰
I am new to knitting and crocheting. Your beautiful shawls caught my eye on youtube. I would love to make one one day.
I’m still very new to knitting and am hoping to build my confidence in just the basics this year. For crochet, I’m wanting to start doing some color work this year.

Maybe one day! Good luck to all! And God bless you chani 🙏💕 many blessings on you and your family in this coming year!
Thank you! Happy early birthday, and best of luck!
I want to learn how to do cabling and knitting in the round with DPNs this year.
Knitting backwards!
I am mostly a crocheter and just a beginner knitter. I have joined the MKAL to further my learning. Love EFA and your energy, Chandi. ❤️
That’s fantastic! We’re so happy you’re joining in on the MKAL!
I’d love to take Tunisian crochet to the next level..something bigger than a dish cloth.
On both the knit and crochet side, I’d like to try to implement those finger yarn holders, so for crochet, a different way to hold the yarn which might be easier than the ring that separates the yarns for stranded colour work in knitting..so that would be learning to work things more Continental style I guess.
Yeah, I think that’s enough for this old bird. 😉
I’m really looking forward to learning acrylic painting. I’m a watercolorist which, for me, is about control. I’m hoping acrylics will be much more whimsical! So much to learn. I also want to learn to KINT socks, crochet socks just aren’t the same. lol
Hi Chandi. Hope you and yours are doing well 🙂
There’s one thing that I find troublesome with knit sweaters. This is under the arms where 4 seams meet. It sometimes they can be bulky and feel like a wad of fabric is bunched there. Is there a way to add a diamond shape gusset eliminating the bulky 4 way seam?
Hi, Sandra. I’ve never used this technique, but it does appear that you can add a diamond gusset to alleviate any bunching. I found this article, which explains how it’s done: https://techknitting.blogspot.com/2011/05/my-sweater-is-too-tight-under-arms-or.html#:~:text=Our%20specific%20gusset%2C%20an%20underarm,top%20of%20the%20arm%20seam.&text=As%20to%20knitting%20the%20gusset,of%202%20st%20I%2Dcord.
I hope that helps.
Hi Chandon- love your yarn! I love crocheting, but this year I want to increase my knitting skills and you do such wonderful tutorials, I know I will succeed!
I would really love to learn to knit!! You have some gorgeous knit patterns!!!
Such beautiful yarn! I am learning to knit socks this year.
I’m finally trying my hand at cardigans and wraps. Hoping to try my first pair of socks this year as well.
I think I would like to try an adventurous colourwork sweater and crocheted toys.
Thank You and have a nice dau!
I’m hoping to learn how to knit in color work and build up my skill of knitting garments! Also work on crocheting garments as well, maybe make a temperature blanket for my daughter’s first year 😄
My goal for this year is to make a sweater / top with short sleeves. This would be a new adventure for me. I also want to make some socks using different heel techniques.
I need to learn how to knit faster…so I can make more projects! Plus I want to learn how to do brioche.
Hi! I am new to knitting and crochet but absolutely love it! It is so calming and fun. I love your YouTube videos and hope to follow along with a tutorial one day. This year I want to challenge myself to learn how to knit socks, hopefully on DPNs!
I love the yarns in this giveaway! Because of life and work stresses, I’ve only been knitting’s socks because I get the relaxation from the knitting itself but it’s mindless at the same time. This year I want to dust off my spinning wheel!
Happy new year. I would really love to learn how to knit lace items. I wouldn’t say I am amazing knitter, but i am fairly good at it. Place seems so difficult. I know I tend to knit very tightly, no matter how much I try not to, and I am thinking that might make lace knitting more difficult. My mom also told me that I somehow add am extra twist to my stitches, I basically know, I guess, my version of Continental. I love your yarns and would love to have some to play with, see what I can do.
Sock knitting! I have already tried, so far unsuccessfully…
But i won’t give up! 🙂
I am also trying to learn how to knit socks.
I love the variety of the winter colors! The dark blue-grey and the darke rose matches perfectly. And all the rest of the colors are matching as well, really beautiful!
I like to knit the nautile shawl. Its a new kind of shawl. I just finished a triangle shawl with the beginning at one corner. I love the pattterns on expression fiber art!
My knitting goal is to learn brioche and mosaic. Thanks to your beautiful yarn those goals can be a reality. All of your yarns are stunningly beautiful. Yarn heaven!
Haft, a przynajmniej podstwy i szycie na maszynie 🤗 uwielbiam Twoją energię, wzory i kiedyś na pewno próbuję Twojej włóczki ❤❤
I have been trying to delve into more complicated knitting techniques like intarsia and sweater-making.
Such beautiful, scrumptious yarn. OMG I need them in my life right now. I have just taught myself to knit this year and there are so many patterns I want to try. I am undecided about which of your amazing shawl patterns I want to start with, but I know most of them will teach me some new skills. And look gorgeous. Super excited to get my hands on some luster sport honestly. Thanks for your beautiful inspiration Chandi.
Hi Chandy, for the moment I don’t think I need a new craft, I am happy with the ones I already have, and getting better in each one of them is quite a challenge and awesome at the same time. I started crocheting when we had our first child, knitting when we had our second, sewing and quilting when we bought our house and when the pandemic came I started dying yarn and making soap. Maybe the skill I would like to have is to be able to create more time to spend doing these things I love. Anyway, thank you for creating and sharing all your wonderful videos, and all your positive thoughts. I can’t wait to see the next one 🙂
I’m starting on your World Tour travel wearable blanket. Wish I made this first so I could have used it. However, I’m making it now so it’s ready on my next trip. What a great gift to win your January giveaway.
I am a crocheter with limited knitting skills. I would love to become proficient with more intricate knitting patterns.
I already know how to crochet and love it, but I have seen your videos and it has inspired me to want to learn how to knit. So for 2022, I would like to learn knitting.
I LOVE crocheting, and am starting to move toward being a lover of really quality yarn…plus, I am finally getting to where I have practiced enough for my pieces to deserve that quality. In the next year I would love to learn to crochet sweaters, so I can wear the art I make… and maybe to learn Tunisian crochet as a new challenge too.
I am having trouble binding off neatly.
Thank you for everything you on your channel and website! Thank you for organizing the giveaways, too! Your yarns and patterns are absolutely delightful, they give me inspiration to keep knitting and learning new techniques. I’d love to tackle a few more sweaters with fair-isle designs this year.
I absolutely love your yarn! So soft and the colors are so stunning. I’m working this year on crocheting bigger projects, as I’ve only done little amigurumi animals with crocheting.
I have recently learned mosaic crochet , I can knit and crochet .
I would love to learn how to knit socks and Tunisian crochet
I have just started crocheting so I hope to learn new stiches:)
Hi, Chandi. I love your yarn. You always have such beautiful colours! I’m hoping to improve my knitting skills this year try cables *gasp*. I’ve only done garter stitch scarves and dishcloths. Lots of love and yarny hugs. 💗
Hi chandi,
I’m a learner in crochet now. In this year I want to give a try to knit. I’ve already bought my knitting needle
Hi Chandi!
I absolutely love your tutorials and patterns. I made my mother in law a shawl for family pictures on the beach and it was beautiful! I have been a crocheted since 2017 and love it but just started to knit! I hope I learn to love knitting just like I have crochet.
I really love to knit shawls and scarves.
I want to learn crochet as well with your lovely luster yarns.
Love yeah!
You are so lovely and sweet . Thanks for your guidance in very simple way.
I just learned to crochet, shortly after Thanksgiving and completed two projects already, first what was supposed to be a simple shrug cardigan that needed a complete redesign because I progressively reduced stitches along the way and ended up with a trapezoid instead of a giant rectangle. I tweaked it by joining two panels to the sides which turned it into the front of the cardigan. My second project was your Boho shawl, and it turned out gorgeous! I’m currently working on my first sweater with your Montrastea pattern and just joined the MCAL and I’m looking forward to learning how to work an expanding square.
I would like to learn filet stitch in crochet and also learn to start knitting. This beautiful yarn would be amazing to start with. Thank you Chandi for the opportunity to try and win!
Absolutely gorgeous!! I love your yarn!!
Am using your tutorial on how to knit sweaters. I’d like to know how to knit a top down V-Neck sweater too. I started crocheting first and just learned how to knit.
I am branching out into the world of weaving!
I have wanted to learn knitting for the last 6 years. I can cast on knit & purl but the needles and yarn are too fiddly for me to do it. I am determined this year. Thank you for the chance. I love your colorways.
Hi Chandi,
Love all your yarns they are so beautiful like you🙏
Wish a can afford more to buy..
Thank you for giving us a chance to win..
Love Demi🧶🪡🧵
I love your shawls and am currently working on one of those.
My grandmother taught me to crochet when I was quite young. I learned to knit when I retired. I love them both! I also love your yarns and patterns. They’re luscious!
I taught myself how to crochet when I was a teenager and then taught myself how to knit when I lived in Alaska in 1980. I have dabbled with both off and on since. I put all my crochet and knit projects away when I moved to Minnesota 20 years ago due family obligations and working full time. I recently retired and decided to try my hand again, I love your yarns and decided to make the MKAL and the MCAL this year. I’m really looking forward to these projects.
Howdy Chandi
I have enjoyed watching your YouTube podcasts. I love colour all colour my love of knitting led me to spinning, weaving and dying. I have retired now so can enjoy my fiber craft even more. Like many others I tend to give away much of what I make.
