Hello, precious soul! Today, I have a unique, crochet circular shawl pattern to share with you! This dazzling, breathtaking design will turn heads! Keep reading to learn all about this week’s stunning shawl!
Polaris was designed by Elisabeth Carr. When asked about her pattern, Elisabeth said, “Polaris is a circular shawl inspired by the North Star. The North Star has been brightening the night sky and giving direction to explorers for millennia, and I hope this shawl helps to bring a little brightness to your life. Crocheted in the round, the design is worked from the center out, creating the star first.”
This Adventurous Beginner level pattern is for crocheters who are ready to learn some new skills or stitch combinations. Stitches include single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, triple crochet, and triple crochet 3 together. The pattern includes written and charted instructions.
Polaris is crocheted with our versatile Dewy DK yarn, which is perfect for items you want to cherish for years or share with a loved one as a heartfelt gift. Dewy DK is a beautiful yarn that’s luscious and supremely soft with a gorgeous drape, amazing structure, and a subtle gleam. This yarn is a blend of 70% Superwash Merino Wool, 20% Nylon, and 10% Silk with 250 yds/320 m per skein.
The sample shown here was crocheted with our Apatite Hues Dewy DK Kit and used approximately 1,155 yds/1,056 m total (Color A: 240 yds/220 m and Colors B – E: 225 yds/206 m EACH).
We filmed a video tutorial demonstrating how to crochet the center star. Grab your hook and some yarn, and crochet along with me!
