Sadly and happily, my brother already visited for Thanksgiving and can’t make it back for Christmas. So I look forward to a quiet holiday. I’m hoping to get more knitting done.
I am looking forward to the abundance of music that I get to make with all the wonderful groups I am a part of. It’s exhausting but so fun and up lifting
I just looking to spending quality time with my family for Christmas. Love spending time with my Mom and Dad, sister, and my nieces and great-nieces.
I’m looking forward to trading knitted hats with a Secret Santa, and attempting to perfect old fashioned fudge for a family gathering. I love this time of year.
I’m really looking forward to some time off work as we have been busy and I’m ready for my break
I’m ready for the college semester to be OVER. I am a full time nursing student, and this semester was long, hard, and not enough time to crochet!
Looking forward to having the whole family here for Christmas for the first time in four years. My sister and her kids have moved near us, so will be able to share Xmas with us this year. 🙂
We fought to get our son back and plan to enjoy our first Christmas with him back home! We love to watch Christmas movies together and I will work on a knit blanket for him.
Happy Holidays all!
Love spending time with family drinking hot chocolate.
I am looking to a peaceful and cozy holiday with my hubby, hot chocolate topped with whipped cream and sweet potato soufle. YUM!
For this season I’m looking forward to spending time with family
I am looking forward to camping and kayaking with my husband ❤️
I’m looking forward to spending the holidays with my new baby boy, born just 6 days ago! I’m not getting any sleep, so some gorgeous yarn would be a lovely surprise because I’m sure I’ll forget I entered 🙂
Congratulations! I hope you and your son are healthy and well!
what I’m looking forward to most this year if the cold winter days spent with my family by the warm fire. the Christmas season is here!
I’m really looking forward to Christmas, to be a slower, easier time. I haven’t been able to have a real Christmas with my elderly mom in 3 years because of her kidney disease and the pandemic. However this year, we get to!! So we passed a blanket project back and forth for the last two months, that went into a fundraiser for my vet. I made a wrap and a beautiful scarf that went into it as well, from your Paradiso Hues, Roasted Hues, and your Beet colorways. It was amazing to watch her old hands work the hooks and wool, as we would sometimes just sit, chat, and work together, and to see the sheer excitement and pride in her eyes as she helped me deliver the items to the vet’s office. So this morning, I’m excited to see that Christmas spirit in her eyes. Sappy. Probably. Life hits you like that sometimes, so hug your mom if you’re lucky enough to still be able to do so.
Hi Chandi🌲
I’m looking forward to gathering with family and friends for wonderful conversations, smiles and laughter as well as sharing some great food🥰
I am looking forward to seeing Christmas through my 7 month old great granddaughter’s eyes. She is so special.
For the holidays I am looking forward to my family being in good health after many setbacks this year. Also, cozy knit hats. And cookies….
I’m most looking forward to making some Christmas gifts, hanging out with my family, and hopefully getting try some new luscious yarns from EFA!
It’s my first year in retirement at Christmas! I am looking forward to relaxing knitting and coffee time watching the snowflakes fall❄️
I’m so looking forward to baking! I do a little bit year-round, but Christmas time is when I can take the time to bake some really special treats 😀 And cozying up in a self-crocheted blanket with some tea and a baked sweet is enough to keep the cold at bay!
I’m looking forward to spending time with my mother, and the chance of snow ❄️. (For the past 15 years I’ve lived too far south for snow.)
Every month you gather a thrilling collection of yarns, and this is no exception. My eyes are feasting on the multi, the crimson, the spice, the greens, greys and white. Somebody is going to be awfully happy with these. I don’t participate in much holiday activity any more. I prefer to be a bit introspective and avoid the mad rush of shopping, the overabundant meals and the alcohol (or, sadly, drug) fueled frivolity. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a Grinch nor a Scrooge, and I don’t begrudge others their good times.
Lovely collection and photos as always Chandi! I’m going to be visiting family for Christmas, and looking forward to my niece and nephew’s excitement. Wishing you lovely holidays!
I’m looking foreward to having my husband home for a week or so.
To enjoy time with family and friends.
gorgeous colors!!!!
I’m just hoping that everyone enjoys what I made for them.
I am looking forward to having family here for our big christmas dinner. And thank you for the opportunity to win some of your fabulous yarn.
I’m so excited to travel and see snow ❄️
I’m looking forward to seeing my large family, especially my parents. And I’m REALLY looking forward to getting home again!
We introduced another sweet little boy into our family just weeks before Thanksgiving, so this holiday season I’m looking forward to celebrating his first Christmas with our large extended family.
Beautiful display as usual!
The only thing I have to look forward to is looking at houses and yard decorations.
Sadly, not looking forward to much this holiday. Maybe next year will be better. I do love the wreath you made out of the skeins of yarn yarn, it’s beautiful 😍.
Hooray for the Holidays! Time off of work to spend more time with loved friends and family.
Thank you for yet another gorgeous offering.
I have a friend with 8 children, and I am expecting my 8th children. We get together weekly through the year, and I’m looking forward to doing all the holiday things together, with the kiddos, this month! Cookies, puzzles, games, crafts, gift exchanges… 🥰 So much fun!
I am looking forward to the time of the year where people universally are kinder to one another. I wish the peace, understanding and goodwill extended throughout the year. (I’m also looking forward to winning one of these sometime)
Your enthusiasm in knitting and crafting has really been a blessing to me. I actually quit, I am a caretaker for my mother and it seemed
My heart just went ‘’it’s over, No more crafting especially knitting’’.I was in a real awful state. I want you to know you
helped me. Thank you so very much from my heart to yours.
I hope you have beautiful Holidays and lovely memories always.
I am looking forward to time off work so I can indulge in some “yarn-time” 🥰
Gingerbread cookies!
I just want to finish all of my projects and restart next year, a fresh new start.
Spending time with loved ones.
I love when my whole family and their kids are able to gather and we just chit chat and relax together.
For this Holiday Season I wish for my grandpa to get better and be able to spend the holidays with my family. My whole family lives in Italy and I live in Canada so it’s even harder for me to be here and so far away from them. I love how positive Chandi always is, sometimes we just need a kind world to have a more positive day.
Happy holidays everyone
I look most forward with being with my mother this holiday season. Lost my dad in 2020 from covid, Sooooo, I am soaking up all I can with my mother! Happy Holidays and thank you for always offering such wonderful patterns and giveaways!
I hope you’ll have a wonderful time with your mom! – Johanna 💕
I’m looking forward to the looks or surprise and wonder on my children’s faces – they still believe in the magic ✨✨
OH wow, what a stunning photo of yarn in a wreath! I love it!!! This Christmas we are going on a surprise trip (planned with our DIL) to see our son stationed overseas! We cannnot wait! I will have LOTS of time to knit on the very long plane rides! I’m sad to miss our family tradition here of getting together, but so happy to see our son!
I’m looking forward to having my DD home for New Year for a week, and lots of extra knitting time too!
Happy to being able to celebrate with my adult children.
Covid and distance has kept us apart for three Christmas’s .
Our plan is a small item made by yours truly.
The kids are only to give a give they made or a recycled book.
Our time is focused on each other and being together.
Blessings to all
Bonnette
Our military son who is stationed on the other side of the country will be coming here just after Christmas and am looking forward to seeing him and his girlfriend even if it’s for a few days!
I’m looking forward to spend time with my family
I love gathering with my family and all the food
Spending time with my family and Christmas dinner.
Spending the time with the loved ones, with great food and Christmas atmosphere 🙂
Love that wreath! I’m looking forward to the little Christmas moments most of all, especially watching my kids get excited about decorations, snow, carols, movies and all those cookies to come.
I always look forward to that familiar and wonderful scent of pine needles in the home…A daily nudge to slow down and enjoy the beauty of the season, while also serving as a reminder that soon my grown children will be coming home to visit. Cant wait for our family to be together again! Thank you Chandi for another generous and beautiful yarn giveaway!
Merry Christmas! 🎄❤️🎄
I look forward to spending time with family this Christmas and reading Christmas books🎄
The holidays are hard for me.
I’m so sorry to hear that this is a difficult time for you. I’m sending you a big, virtual hug and hoping that today is a good day for you.
I’m looking forward to seeing my family, especially my mom, brother, sister-in-law, niece, and nephew. I can’t wait to give them the gifts I’ve been working on!
I’m looking forward to spending time with my family this holiday season. We don’t all get together like we used to, so I’m thankful for every opportunity to reconnect.
The yarn wreath looks so pretty??!
I’m most looking forward to spending time with my family tbh, it’s been a while of only videocalls.
Hello everyone and Happy Holidays. Uhm I guess I look forward to seeing people actually be nicer to each other this time of year. Seems there is a shortage of kindness the rest of the year. So yes it will be nice to see kindness appear again.
Hi Chandi,
First- thank you for offering this give away! Wonder you are totally awesome and so is your yarn. I have to say the first time I saw your yarn, your patterns and you I was taken aback! You look so much like my sister, she is my best friend but since I got sick I haven’t seen much of anyone so I’m hoping for Christmas to be able to spend some time with family and maybe (fingers crossed) get to see my great-grandson! I am crocheting “more” things for him lol I have been extremely ill and had to go off work at the end of 2018 and before neurosurgeon could even see me Covid-19 hit! What luck needless to say it has progressed to point of immobility. Only good thing is I have plenty of time to crochet!! I would love to win this draw for some of your gorgeous yarn but right now I am going to start the MCAL, better late than never and maybe a Christmas treat for myself (a yarn club box)
Wishing you a magical season filled with love and light…. And some beautiful yarn lol ♥️
Wow it would be cool to win this! That red is awesome and the variegated is gorgeous! Happy Holidays Chandi!
Toujours de très joli couleurs et photos passez de joyeuses fêtes de fin d’année
Hello there! Last Chridtmas my mother and I were together, but in her care facility as she had a suffered a stroke that November. It was just the two of us as my father contracted Covid, and no other family was allowed in the facility. I am most looking forward to spending THIS Christmas with her, my father and other precious family in our own home as she is now zipping everywhere with her walker and continues to improve! Last Christmas really brought home to me what is really important in this world…people who love, protect and cherish each other. Wishing you a blessed holiday season!
Ah, that’s easy – having time to finish my Multivalence piece, of course!
I am Looking forward to having all my family around me this Christmas. Good food great company and hopefully not to hot here in Australia
Thank you for the, as ever, wonderful giveaway! I am looking forward to spending the Yule Eve (here in Denmark, we celebrate the evening before) with my family – and, for the first time, with my partner and his daughters.
Also, to having time off for more knitting :o)
Happy Holidays to all!
I am looking forward to moving in to the house we just closed escrow on today, settling in to our new home in the middle of the most magical forest that I have named “Sanctuary of Peace Forest” because the peace and stillness is so deeply, exquisitely present. The snow on the trees and land was truly magical last Saturday! Not to mention the knitting I want to do when I can make the time!
I wish I was looking forward to “Peace on Earth”, instead I am praying that everyone and everybody that is caught in any conflict will find comfort and some measure of joy this Holiday Season.
Currently looking forward to my babies getting better from being sick. Aside from that, more holiday-wise, I’m looking forward to the quiet and relaxing time spent with my family throughout the holiday season.
I’m very much looking forward to the holiday baking for my family with Christmas music playing in the background.
It’s been a tough school year and I’m looking forward to time to sleep, read, and knit. I need to recharge my batteries so I can teach the next semester the way students deserve.
Happy children. Playing (board)games together.
Peace and quiet and christmas food.
Hello from Taiwan!
I’m looking forward to let my mom wear the socks I just made!
Knitting and crocheting make me calm, I’m very happy to join this lovely community.
Looking forward to baking gifts for friends, seeing my brother and his family, and then hitting the road to explore warmer climates for snowbirding until the full eclipse with my sister, our dogs and cat. Southwest US here we come!
Thank you for putting together such a lovely giveaway this December. The colours are fantastic!!
What in looking forward to is the time to visit with friends and family over some wonderful Christmas baking, and hopefully some quiet time to knit! I how you all have a wonderful holiday season.
I’m excited to spend time at our cabin in the woods we just bought last month. And of course spending time with my family!
I’m looking forward to spending some downtime with my parents and other family. We make homemade caramels, and I can taste them now!
This year is my first grandchild’s Christmas! She is almost 1 yr old so watching her take in the magical lights, family time is just wonderful 💕
I’m looking forward to being home with my family, and working on crochet & knit projects!
My family visited just before Thanksgiving, so my husband and I will be celebrating quietly at home. We will spend some time with his family and our friends, but we’re looking forward to being home.
I hope you and yours have a beautiful holiday!
Time off to visit family is what I look forward to the most.
One of our children moved out of state, so we are looking forward to spending time with her and her wife this Christmas.
I am most looking forward to a new grandbaby, due any day now!
I am hoping to get a lot of quality time with my family.
Thank You for the possibility to enter the giveaway.
Looking forward to some time off of work so I can focus on finishing up some of my WIPs
I’m looking forward to seeing my youngest niece and nephew. We haven’t seen them all year as they live in another state. My sister and I had a falling out and don’t speak anymore, but I know it’s for the best. I still wish good things for her and the kids. Always.
Happy Holidays, everyone! Good luck and I hope we all have a very happy new year! 😊🎄
This holiday season I am most looking forward to time off work spent cuddled on the couch, sewing or knitting and drinking hot chocolate (preferably while it snows outside). ❄️🧶🧵
For this Christmas,I’m looking forward Neil with my family and watching movies and of course knitting.
Family fun💞
I look forward to spending time with family and friends and having a couple of extra days off from work (AKA extra time to crochet/knit). Thank you Chandi. Merry Christmas to you and you family!
What a great way to end this amazing year 🥰 Happy Holidays to everyone
For the first time in many years I am taking time off work during the holidays. That break is all I look forward to this year.
I’m looking forward to making good music 🎶 and trying to find pockets of peace in the hustle and bustle.
I am looking forward to spending time with family and reading Christmas classic’s. 🎄
We have a new baby in the family and that means tons more Christmas fun!
I’m looking forward to visiting with family and playing board games on our days off!
I am looking forward to the warmth of being around my loved ones & giving special gifts to each of them. I enjoy the giving most of all because it brings such joy to my heart.
Looking forward to time off and less busy ness
After seeing your yarn wreath, it has put me in the mood to start making Christmas decorations again. After a garage fire two years ago, we lost every Christmas decoration we had ever made or bought in our 50 year marriage. Our children are grown so there hasn’t been the incentive to replace or even buy new ones. My wreath will be out of fabric rather than yarn, but now I feel like I want to put up some sort of decoration for the holidays. Thanks for the little germ that started me on my way to our first decorated Christmas since the fire.
I’m looking forward to watching Christmas movies throughout December.
I’m most looking forward to spending Christmas eve with my sons and their partners. My sons requested a Christmas eve like we had when they were kids, same food, games, movies and putting mattresses on the floor to sleep all together in the living room. My heart bursts with joy just thinking about it 🙂 Working on making as much little surprise gifts for everyone as I can manage.
Hi Chandi, I’m looking forward to meeting my new great-granddaughter!
During the holiday season the things I look forward to the most is spending time with my family. My children are still young, so the joy on their faces during this season is what I enjoy. Having hot cocoa and seeing Christmas lights with my husband and children. Watching Christmas movies and making Christmas goodies to eat. Watching the excitement on their faces on Christmas morning as they open their gifts.
So looking forward to seeing my family!
I am most looking forward to some time off work and quiet holidays with my family.
I am looking forward to finding a new normal and creating new traditions this holiday season.
I’m looking forward to spending more time with my kids over the winter term break!
I am looking forward to my family all being together. The baking, and the smell of Christmas dinner cooking. I also love the season because it seems to bring out the best in people everywhere.
I just learned about your yarn very recently and do look forward to knitting with it. This Christmas must be very special for hubby and me as he has severe emphysema, has been in the hospital at least twice this year. None of us know how many more Christmases we might have so we must all make the most of each and every one! May it be blessed!
I am looking forward to a little peace in the world and less hatred. I would like to see more love and joy shown to everyone.
I’m looking forward to spending some time before Christmas with friends and family and having a very quiet Christmas day. We’re doing everything ahead of time this year so Christmas day will be just my adult son and I with some good food and watching Lethal Weapon and Die Hard. Happy Holidays to all, however you celebrate!!
For time together with family and all the holiday traditions.
Looking forward to spending time with my family.
I’m looking forward to being with family, giving handmade gifts and eating all the cookies lol
I am so thankful for my family , friends and the life I have. I am grateful for the beautiful yarns and wonderful words of wisdom and love pouring into our lives from Chandi.
I had a miss step and fell and broke my left wrist and foot. I had surgery on my left wrist and my surgeon agreed that crocheting would be great therapy I am grateful for each stitch I make and each step I take toward recovery..
I’m looking forward spending time with my family and having more time to read and crochet.
This year I am looking forward to a gathering of family and friends – we have been unable to celebrate with an Open House since 2019 – for obvious reasons. Now we can resume our tradition. (It is this weekend, so I am rather busy!)
I’m most looking forward to having some extra time off work to relax and spend time with my boyfriend.
I am looking forward to time with family and friends. Also loving the beautiful fall colors and cooler weather to come! Merry Christmas!
I am looking forward to spending time (as cheesy as it sounds) with my 2 sons and wonderful husband. We just moved from Hawaii to Oklahoma, so we don’t know anyone here. But that’s fine by us. We’re all homebodies, and enjoy the quiet times at home together. Me cooking Christmas dinner and the kids opening their gifts. Then sitting around and doing nothing. (LOL) it makes for a perfect Christmas for us introverts, who just love spending time together. Our philosophy has always been as long as we’re together – no matter where it is in the world – it’s always home.
I’m looking forward to spending time with my little family and making new memories with my kiddos.
I Love it when the Christmas tlTree is up and decorated, our place is all decorated & we can just relax & enjoy it. We are late getting things done, but had a set back… my husband was almost home from work, at a stop light & got rear-ended by a drunk driver ( other driver had been swerving all over the road & almost into oncoming traffic) & it was a hit & run, fortunately my husband is fine, there were 3 witnesses gave names & numbers and got the license plate #. Our car is in the shop & we should hear today if it will be totaled out or repaired, hoping & praying for repair, live our little car.
I think what I’m most looking forward to is 2 weeks off work. Chandi mentioned in her email this morning to be sure to “…carve out some time for restful moments and rejuvenating activities”. I love reading her emails because they are often a reminder to take care of ourselves. Of course I’m also looking forward to time with all my kids and grandkids – that always fills my heart so full. But I must say, when I have extended time away from my job, I do love to spend the majority of it refueling and doing things I love (crocheting being just one of those things). It really is the best gift I can give myself this holiday season 🙂
I’m looking forward to visiting with family I haven’t seen all year. It’s difficult to live out of town… but one of these days we will live closer I’m sure.
After a really tough year, I’m looking forward to having some quiet time.
To see family, to relax and enjoy spending time together. Playing board games, going for walks in nature and watching movies. Laughing and making fun memories. Cuddling with our cat, she is a rescue and for ten years that we have had her she did not cuddle, now she do!
I am looking forward to spending time with my family, including extended family I have not seen in several years.
I’m looking forward to spending time at home, with my family. Enjoying whatever the time brings us. Hot tea by the fire, a game with my kids, knitting (of course!), and being still.
Sometimes I feel like I enjoy the holidays all year long because I am so blessed to have my grandchildren live nearby and they stay with me often. It is fun to bake the special treats we only do once a year, like sprtitz and gingerbread cookies. Mostly though, I love when all of the family is together.
I always look forward to looking at Christmas through the eyes of my 2 year old son
Such gorgeous yarn. All my stash is in storage as we are in the throes of a house renovation..would like to have some new yarn to play with!
I’m looking forward to a break from work, time with family and lots of time for all of my knitting projects!
Gorgeous, Gorgeous yarn.
OMG what gorgeous colours for Decembers giveaway! I’m looking forward to having my sons and their partners home for the holidays. The banter between them makes me smile as I’m reminded of when they were younger (although similar banter when they were younger did not have the same effect when they were so busy!) Happy Holidays to All!
For this year, I plan to focus on the generosity and compassion that the holidays encourage. This past weekend, I witnessed an elderly man at a grocery store check out figuring out how to spend the five dollars he had for groceries. I witnessed a single mother with two young children waiting behind him in line give him fifty cents so he could include bananas. I always crochet items to donate but that encounter reinforces the meaning of the season for me and provokes more thought on how to embrace it.
I’m looking forward to being with friends and family! This year I’m cooking Christmas dinner and once that’s over, the stress is gone. Happy holidays everyone!
I’m looking forward to time with family who I haven’t seen recently
Im looking forward to the change in pace. Getting our pomsky spayed on the 14th so we get to bail on any expectations of travel and socializing. Instead we get to spend christmas with ourselves and host a small Saturday brunch the weekend before xmas.
I’m looking forward to a nice quiet Christmas with my husband and our baby (that is, our little papillon). Our two daughters live on the opposite coast from us so they will not be with us. One of them has to work on Christmas, and the other one was here for Thanksgiving and probably will not make the trip again so soon.
Excited for some quality time with my family during the holidays. Thank you! for the giveaway.
Food and all things yarn!
I’m looking forward to traveling home and spending time with my family and old friends 🙂
What a beautiful gift you are giving away this month. This holiday season I plan to get back to my crocheting projects after a fracture of my right hand in early September put an abrupt end to any projects I had going on. I am taking the down time to spend with my wonderful husband who has been doing it all since my injury. Just warms my heart. I am just basking in the gratefulness I feel at this time in life…..peace, love and joy to you and your wonderful staff this holiday season.
Looking forward to some free time to relax and crochet all the projects I’ve been meaning to get through
Good morning Chandi, the Expressions Fiber Arts team and all blog participants. The yarns and color combinations are always breath taking, thank you for this beautiful morning inspiration! This holiday season, I’m doing my best to slow down and to “take it in” from decorating the tree and home with my boys, to meal planning and to every joy that comes with this beautiful time of year. One of my boys is graduating HS next summer and my second will be a sophomore 2024, so I realize the luxury of having them with me every day is fleeting, yet it’s a joy to see them blossom with every turn of the season. I’m grateful for my husband, father and my boys especially, and will cherish every moment with them, extended family and friends this holiday season. Thank you for this time to reflect… You may find this funny— since I dove back into knitting and crochet, earlier this year- I seem to carry yarn and project around my house (as I move from room to room), or in a bag when I go out, even if I can’t complete a stitch. It brings peace to my incredibly hectic work life, which at times is 24by7, literally. God Bless to all!
I look forward to baking cookies with my family. We make a lot so that we can snack on them while wrapping presents.
I’m looking forward to some quiet time to knit and crochet. Also, it will be exciting to spend tine with family members, especially those that I do not see often.
Beautiful yarns. Love the colors. Looking forward to a peaceful holiday with my husband and our family.
Beautiful yarn! I am most looking forward to people opening the hand made gifts that I have made for them. I get so excited about it that I can’t sleep the night before Christmas. So I listen for reindeer on the roof!
I am most looking forward to spending time with family this holiday season and having more time to craft!
I am looking forward to spending some fun and relaxing time with immediate and extended family.
I’m looking forward to being with my sister, niece, and brother in law this season since they just moved to our town. We’ve lived 5 hours apart for many many years and it’s so wonderful to have my sister near me again.
I am looking forward to celebrating my first Christmas with my husband in our new house (we got married in January and are closing on our house later this week)! We can’t wait to build new traditions for our family.
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE … HOPE YOU HAVE A BLESSED 2024
I am most looking forward to spending time with family on Christmas.
Mostly, I’m looking forward to a slower pace of life at the end of December when my son’s school and my work go on break.
I’m looking forward to the season being over. I’ve just lost two sisters-in-law this November and December. This is a hard time for our family.
I’m so sorry for you and your family’s loss, Linda. I’m sure you feel their absence deeply and that they were well loved. Sending you a big hug and healing thoughts.
I’m looking forward to quiet time at home (finally!) with my kids and my husband. We have a busy home with somewhere to be at all times and I’m hoping to get some time to slow down, snuggle on the couch (with a crochet project of course since I’m also teaching my kids), bake cookies, play games and just enjoy a simpler time
Hello beautiful Chandy! I can’t wait to crochet my favorite clothes for my little girl!
We are looking forward to have our children and grandchildren with us. Unfortunately, one of them is living in France and is working during the holidays. At least, we will be able to communicate virtually!
I am looking forward to a relaxing day with my sister and a fabulous dinner after which we will knit and/or spin together.
Looking forward to retirement! After 50+ years working, I get to concentrate on me, and my crocheting. So many projects in the queue to do! I have some of your yarn in my stash where I’m just itching to work on the projects using them.
I’m looking forward to my boys coming home. One is a Marine and one is in college. I miss the energy they brought to my home.
I’m looking forward to spend some time with my elder father, who lives far away. It’s been a difficult time in the last few months and I didn’t think I would manage to do it, but the last few weeks reserved a surprise that will allow me to afford the trip!
This holiday season I’m truly looking forward to having my daughter, grandson and her fiancé home for Christmas. As a nurse, I rarely get holidays off with Christmas Eve and day being a rarity. I will savor every moment with my family and friends.
Thank you for all that you do during the year and I appreciate you and your staff.
I’m looking forward to progress in life and relationships
I’m looking forward to spending time with my family and getting a break from work.
First, thank you for your lovely yarns and patterns, most of which I find free. I love all things yarn and knitting, much like you and your lovely presentations are wonderful.
This year I’m looking forward to our son and his lovely girlfriend being home with us from the opposite coast of our beautiful country. Our daughter and her family live nearby, as well as my sister. We will have a wonderful family time for all of us.
Wishing you and yours the best holidays and coming year!
I’m looking forward to being with family, time off of work, cooking good food, and being creative in what ever way that may show up. Also so thankful for all of my many blessings in my life. 💜
Thank you CHANDI and EFA for all your hard work and dedication, bringing us great yarn and accessories that brings me so much joy❣️
I’m looking forward to time with family and relaxation with knitting this holiday season.
I’m looking forward to some time off of work. I love my job, but whenever my husband asks me what I’d like for gift giving occasions, I always say that what I really wish I could have is more unrestricted, unspoken-for, unplanned time to do the things I never feel I have time for. I work for a nonprofit and this year our board of directors decided that in lieu of a monetary bonus for Christmas, we would all be given the week of Christmas off! Such a blessing. 🙂
I’m most looking forward to time off work to spend with family
I’m looking forward to seeing my niece and nephew open presents. I love the excitement and joy they radiate Christmas morning <3 I’m also looking forward to seeing my parents and pets for the first time in a few months!
This season, I am looking forward to finally use my leave that has been building all year and just rest a bit.
We moved from VA to NM about four years ago, and we are finally heading back for Christmas this year. I’m most excited to see my whole family and have my kids play with their cousins.
I look most forward to midnight mass (well 10pm this year!). It is always so beautiful in church and everyone is there to celebrate the birth of Jesus ~ the true “reason for the season”!
I’m looking forward to the chance to rest and recover from a very intense year personally and professionally. It’s been a slog, but since I work at a community college, I get two blissful (paid) weeks off in which I plan to do as little as humanly possible. It will be glorious!
Looking forward to my birthday which is right before Christmas and having some time off work to relax and enjoy the season!
December is the time when I finally get to take time off from work. I’m looking forward to unwinding and using the time to work on knitting and crocheting projects. This has been a eventful year so I’m especially looking forward to the peaceful downtime.
We’re trying something different this year and taking all our adult children out for dinner at a beautiful venue on a lake. I’m looking forward to having a nice relaxed Christmas this year and hope it will be wonerful and may even start a new tradition.
I’m looking forward to some time off. It’s only three days in a row for both Christmas and New Year’s but it’ll give me needed time to work on my craft projects. Unless I end up sleeping for half the time.
I’m looking forward to visiting with friends and family at a large Christmas gathering.
I’m looking forward to having my family here around me. My husband will have two weeks off and my brother and his family should be able to come visit this year. I’m hoping for some good opportunities to just gather and enjoy everything going on without feeling a rush to get things done. It’s also my birthday season, so there will be a lot of festivities coming up in the next couple of weeks!
I’m looking forward to a staycation from work to knit while watching holiday movies.
I am looking forward to time off from work and concentrated time with family!
Beautiful colors as usual. I am most looking forward this holiday season is Peace and Safety for all around the world.
Oh my gosh, these are lovely. My life is not in a good place right now (through no fault of my own and leading to new and scary beginnings as a young- old woman.) Good grief winning this would bring a little light into my life.
I’m sorry to hear things are difficult right now, June. I hope things start to improve and wish you all the best in 2024. Hugs!
Frankly, I’m already looking forward to January 2nd. A family member pulled the holiday spirit rug out from under me on Sunday, and I don’t even want to listen to holiday music now.
Wishing happiness to others out there.
I’m sorry you’re having a difficult time right now, Roberta. Sending you a big hug and hopes for better days!
I am looking forward to a quiet Christmas spent with family. I will be retiring this year, so I’m looking forward to relaxing before starting the next chapter of my life!
Looking forward to having some time in the holidays to rest and regroup! Including knitting, of course.
This holiday season I most look forward to gathering on Christmas Eve with my children and grandchildren for a special evening of togetherness. It’s my most cherished event each year. Of course,, there is also all the crochet fun making gifts before then.
Wishing everyone moments that bring you contentment.
I am looking forward to knitting a project for my husband. I hope it turns out and he wears it with pride.
I’m looking forward to giving presents, baking way too many cookies and desserts, and seeing friends and family.
I am looking forward to enjoying a quiet Christmas with my immediate family. This will be my first Christmas since being retired. So great not to have to rush to work everyday, so there is more time for knitting!
I am looking forward to spending time with my grandchildren They all live out of state so I don’t get to see them often
Dear Chandi,
Coming out of an eight-year illness I must say that I don’t know where I would have been without your yarn, patterns, and constant uplifting encouragement. Knitting and crocheting saved me. I completed each project with joy, and now have the word JOY on my front door. I look forward to spending Christmas with my husband, daughters, and son-in-law with joy in my heart, and gratefulness for you. Thank you for all you do.
I am most looking forward to watching my 4 year old open his gifts.
Ever and always I look forward most to spending time with my family of four children, their partners and four grandchildren. Happy holidays to all!
Gathering with my children and grandchildren!
I am looking forward to some planned activities with my kids, hoping to make some lasting memories with them. Of course we will continue with the tradition of hot chocolate by fireplace playing board games too! And may be start a new tradition of giving them something that’s handknitted.
I’ve been working so much, I’m finally able to have some time off to enjoy the holidays with my fiancé who’s been so patient with me and my crazy schedule. Looking forward to cuddling up with him and my knitting and enjoying our annual Christmas traditions – cooking, baking, watching Its a Wonderful Life, and being able to fall asleep on the couch while knitting! One of these days I’m going to poke my eye out with my needles LOL!! 🎄🎄🎄🧶🧶🧶
I’m looking forward to all the pretty Christmas lights and all the holiday baking I’ll be doing!!
Looking forward to learning how to crochet!! Having family around, and observing all of our cherished traditions; gathering my children around me for hot chocolate and reading Christmas stories out loud; my birthday; singing as we wash the dishes…. Everything!
There were several new babies born this year. As the family is scattered far apart, this is the one time of year when we can all meet up and catch up in person.
I’m looking forward to spending time making my traditional holiday candy for gifts, watching some good movies while knitting of course, possible trip to a warmer climate, and spending time with some friends and my sister. It’s going to be a very quiet one, but that’s good too. I just received some of your hand dyed yarn in the mail and am looking forward to figuring out what to make with it!
I look forward to your cheerful newsletters – they make me smile and lift my spirits daily.
This holiday season I am looking forward to relaxed quality and quantity time with the family, cozy conversations and outdoor activities❤️
Spending time with family and friends.
I am looking forward to snow!!
December is my favorite month, partly because several members of my family and I were all born in this month. I look forward to the family getting together, telling stories and remembering the traditions that have made the season special. There are several of us that are crafty and will make something special that can easily be saved and passed down through the years. I treasure those items and the gift of family more than anything.
I am looking forward to a Christmas with my husband and dogs while visiting our youngest daughter, her husband, our grandson, Henry who is 3 1/2 years old and their 2 dogs. Henry is lots of fun and enjoys lots of activities so it will be a good time. Lindsay, Rod and I will also play board games or do a jigsaw puzzle in the evenings so it will be great!
Scrumptious colors and wonderful fibers to let the imagination go….. always enjoy this season, bazaars, drop in guests, grandchildren wishlists, sometimes the weather…. it’s all wonderful and of course, knitting because I can.
Happy holidays to you all…. and knit on!!!!
I’m most looking forward to getting some rest after a truly awful fall; it’ll be nice to just have quiet time with loved ones.
I hope things start to look up for you and that 2024 brings you many good things. Take care!
Holidays can be stressful, but I’m looking forward to seeing the excitement in my three year old daughter’s eyes as she learns about Christmas and sees all the beautiful decorations.
For Christmas this year I am looking forward to seeing my children and grandchildren spending time with them. Chilling out with my husband while we both have time from work and watching Christmas movies
I bought mini skein “oopsy” yarn recently. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw my colors and the “ultimate” softness of yarn. I’m planning on buying more “oopsy” for a lap throw just for me. I don’t know how EFA has the softest wool. I think EFA finds the softest sheep, specialized “elves” process the yarn. And Santa’s helpers at EFA provide the softest yarn in go blooming colors. Try it!
Looking forward to a low key, low stress holiday with family!
Call me Scrooge . . . What I am looking forward most is for the holidays to be over, one more time. I have always found December to be stressful. I am happy that I have my crocheting projects that I can spend a few quiet moments with each day. HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Getting together with friends for a meal and visit uplifts my spirit: before, during, and after the event.
Looking forward to spending time with family, and hoping for clear, bright winter days.
Longer evenings mean more time to knit. Pretty colors and soft yarns make the winter days a bit less dreary.
What a beautiful selection of yarns! You have put everyone’s imagination into overdrive thinking about what treasures to make! Our Christmas is all about getting family together, since some live far away. We are 15 this year for Xmas dinner, so we are looking forward to a festive, fun day, with people we love. What more can you ask!
I’m most looking forward to baking a lot this holiday season.
I retired from my job in retail this past summer. So, I’m finally getting to savour a quiet, relaxing holiday season this year.
We really don’t do presents on Christmas Day anymore. When we see or make something we want to give each other through out the year, we just give it to each other then and say an early ‘Merry Christmas’. Our adult children, (no grandkids yet), still get stockings filled with fun games and treats. We enjoy lots of games, movies, festive foods and long hugs.
I’m so looking forward to the PAUSE we all take between Christmas and New Year. Just reading a book all the way through as I refill my hot chocolate and nibble on left overs.
I’m looking forward to spending this Christmas with my older brother. He’s been homeless for quite some time and for the first time, he is willing to fly and work toward a sober, healthy life. I’m excited to knit him something and hopeful that he can maybe start a project of his own.
For me, it’s been a long year of personal illness, and deaths of loved ones. The thing I always look forward to most during the holidays is being with family. Traveling with my husband and kids to my childhood home and staying there with my family. Playing board games, snuggling on the couch watching TV, telling stories, laughing till we’re in tears! This year, I’m looking forward to it more than ever!
Your yarn is absolutely gorgeous!
A few days off work, some homemade cookies, and time to knit.
I don’t have much of a celebration to look forward to. My son is grown and gone, much too busy to spend time with me. I have become used to this, so I am ok. I do love driving around town to look at the houses all decorated!! Love the holiday music too!!
Time with my family
Since my family is almost all in the same state after 2 years; I am really looking forward to having them all together at our daughters house this year!
I hope that the world will get a little bit better than it is now. I hope People will remember the meaning of Christmas again.
I’m not sure what I’m most looking forward to. Perhaps to taking time to reflect on the changes I’ve been part of the past few years, and the upcoming changes in the next few.
I’m looking forward to my oldest son coming home from school for Christmas. Also, my parents will be coming as well. Unfortunately, my youngest son cannot be home and this will be his first Christmas away:( I cannot wait to have mostly all of my love ones around me.
Just hoping for some peace and quiet this Christmas.
I’m looking forward to watching more holiday films and shows with my family, it’s such a nice way to wind down in the evening 🙂
It’s not about gifts…
Christmas is a time for making memories with our loved ones. I am looking forward to family time over the holidays.
I’m looking forward to finishing a monster project at work—our deadline is literally New Year’s Eve!
I’m most excited about spending time with our newest addition who is only 3 weeks old. 🙂
I am looking forward to Christmas with family. Secretly, I am looking forward to relaxing and crocheting. I haven’t had that much time lately with all the hustle and bustle. Crocheting is very relaxing to me, and I am so looking forward to it.
I am looking forward to visiting my son and his family in Africa! There’s a new grandchild I’ve never seen – can’t wait to knit him something, but it has to be light because it’s always warm there!
Looking forward to slowing down and enjoying more crochet time!
I’m looking forward to it being over. 😆
I’m just looking forward to having my family around for the holidays and enjoying my 5 grandkids ages from 9-3. December is a very busy month in my family we start off with my son-in-law’s birthday on the 1st then Hannukahthe 7-15 then my birthday on the 19th then Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and then end the month with my granddaughter’s 9th birthday on the 30.
I’m looking forward to time to unwind and get cozy with my hubby! Also, movies and baking goodies with my children.
I’m looking forward to some down time since moving. Between packing, traveling and unpacking I’m so done. I haven’t been able to work on any projects so I would like to finish my cable hat, maybe read a book as well.
I’m looking forward to some time of rest & relaxation over the holidays, and time with my family.
I am looking forward to seeing all my favorite people around my dining table eating good food and enjoying each other’s company. Such a feeling of peace and contentment!
Looking forward to many hours of knitting this winter watching the snow and cold outside while I am all snuggly indoors. A good time to reflect and plan for the new year. May you have the best holiday season! xx
I’m looking forward to something that could be considered pretty lame or totally decadent. I’m in lean toward the latter camp. I’m taking the final week of the year off work so that I can sleep. That’s what I’m looking forward to most, just sleeping as long as I want at any time of the day or night I want. I bought myself some snuggly jammies and new sheets and blankets in preparation. Countdown to Saturday the 23rd…tick tock, tick tock.
Looking forward to working on so many projects over the colder months!
My brother is getting married! So a festive wedding, both brothers’ birthdays and gift giving are all what I’m looking forward to!
I’ve traveled halfway around the world to be with my brothers in Australia – first Christmas together in over 10 years. We will enjoy chatting, laughing and cooking together.
I’m super excited to continue to build my daughter’s joy and love! It’s beautiful to watch her grow and see her enthusiasm for the traditions we’ve developed and continue to evolve. I can’t wait for her fine motor skills to get to the stage where she can learn how to knit with me.
Poter sferruzzare in pace sul divano mentre fuori fa freddo e nevica
I’m looking forward to taking a few extra days off from work, spending time with famil, and hoping to finish my newest WIP. I finally decided what to make of the Expansive yarn I ordered in June, yay! It’s such a beautiful color! Like all your yarn 😀
I’m looking forward to play cards with my family while drinking eggnog and nibbling on gingerbread
I am most looking forward to the peace and joy of this holiday season and relaxing with family and friends…..and cookies! I wish you a blessed one!
Looking forward to time with family, good food, some snow and time to crochet and learn how to knit.
Since I just lost my job, I am looking forward to more time to lavish on myself, family and friends. Also looking forward to a new year and a new me :).
I’m really sorry to hear about your job loss. I hope the new year brings only good things your way.
I’m looking forward to have more time to stay with my hubby and our child, me knitting somenthing while they play some videogame
Hi Chandi, I so appreciate your loving messages to us and your beautiful yarns. This Holiday season will be filled with light and love as we approach the darkest day of the year. ( Winter Solstice) I will celebrate with my small family. For me it is a quiet time of year, time to contemplate. Enjoy time doing quiet nurturing things. A time for me to go within. I like a cold snowy day to slow down and appreciate all I have accomplished through the year and think about an intentional word for the new year. Nature is my inspiration and I hope to spend time in the woods, hiking or snowshoeing. Crochet and pottery are my creative outlets. I have been making pottery for 47 years. Crochet for 3 years.
I am wishing you a beautiful Holiday whatever way you create it.
Looking forward to relaxing with my two sons, cooking up a storm, and holiday feasting. Also taking a little break from crocheting – my hands are about to fall off! – now that all the Christmas projects are done and ready to ship out!
I’m looking forward and very grateful to be spending time with my son, husband and family. I am also looking forward to giving my family members gifts I’ve made with Expression Fiber Arts yarn!!!
Hi Chandi and EFA Crew! Beautiful yarns in this months giveaway, as always!
This time of year I always love how most people truly get into the holiday spirit. People tend to be a little more cheerful, considerate, generous, purposeful…I only wish it would last more than just the holidays. But I also look forward to the pace of life slowing down for just a little while, long enough to catch my breath and prep for another wonderful year of opportunities!
Having our daughter come home for a spell!
I am looking forward to spend time with my kids :-).
It will be just my husband and I. We have 3 inside cats and 5 outside cats.
I’m looking forward to spending Christmas day with my 96 year old mother. I also look forward to the quiet days surrounding Christmas Day, and having some time with my children and grandchildren.

Chandi–Thank you for giving me a smile every day when I read your newsletter. The wreath is gorgeous. So many of my relatives have passed away at this time of year that I tend to be the Grinch more than CindyLou Who…but I’m looking forward to more time working on my projects. 😉

It’s going to be a wonderful few days spent with my son, and my sister-in-law and her boyfriend. We’ll follow a few traditions such as making Russian teacakes and cinnamon rolls. I set out all of my Party Lite tea light houses and Snowbell decorations, instead of a tree. Simple, but beautiful. Very minimal gifting, just hanging out together – Benny’s
On the Beach for breakfast. My son will cook Christmas dinner on the smoker – easy on Mom’s feet!
I’m looking forward to some time off to sit around and knit and play videos games. My birthday is next week also, so there will be a family outing to a local museum.
I am looking forward to time with my family and everything slowing down for a couple of weeks.
My daughter’s baking, party with friends and maybe some yarn under a tree.
Merry Christmas to you and your family.
I am looking forward to the new year, to be honest. This is the 4th Christmas without my guy, who always loved this time of year! Next year I will decorate again! 🙂
I love love LOVE this time of year… I don’t have just one favorite thing: lights, music, my children opening their presents, movies, family, food, friends… So many wonderful things about Christmas!
I’m looking forward to spending time with my family and long walks in nature 🙂
Also the presentation of this giveaway is stunning!
Merry Christmas
These are yummy and look so squishy. Amazing! May you and yours be blessed this Christmas season.
I am looking forward to being healthy again. So many of our family members are sick, so we postponed our gathering to Jan 6. I am looking forward to giving my Secret Santa gift of a bouquet of crocheted forget-me-knots to my nephew’s girlfriend. And to giving my son the crocheted Mario Kart mushroom that I’m finishing up. So stinkin’ cute, these hand-made items! May you all have robust health and many loving moments from here through the new year.
I’m looking forward to spending time with my heartbeats, getting some much needed rest & decompress, completing an in-depth proposal & getting prepared to go back to school.
I’m looking forward to a quiet holiday week! Hopefully with lots ok knitting time, despite the new puppy, lol!
I love spending time with my children and their significant others, along with some creative down time.
Hi Chandi!
Over the holidays, I’m looking forward to getting together with my family for Christmas and New Years, and clearing out all my WIPs. Thank you so much for the wonderful giveaway! You’re so talented and your yarns are beautiful!
Socks!
I retired two months ago and I am still trying to figure out how to enjoy not working.. I am enjoying tons of knitting time.
Looking forward to some lovely new knitting this year — complete with learning new skills!
I am looking forward to spending Christmas with my family. We will have a nice dinner together, and go on self-guided light tours.
Today I am most looking forward to spending time with family and friends. I’ve got a two hour drive to get there but the roads are nice and clear which is a wonderful Christmas Gift. And may you and Tim have a very Happy Holiday season and a new year 2024 with good health and fun adventures.
I just saw this post today, but I’m doing what I was looking forward to most: I’m with my husband and kids after they were away for a trip 🙂
I’m looking forward to the time I get to spend with my daughters. Although I love my whole family, my children are growing, and this is the last year we will have all living together. It’s a bittersweet treasure that I’ll hold dearly for each moment possible.
I am looking forward to the amazing Christmas atmosphere, typical Christmas food, cookies, to the festive Church service, meeting with friends, sending and receiving holliday’s wishes, watching fairy tale movies on TV…
I’m looking forward to my granddaughter’s and her mother’s reaction to the doll outfit I have knit for her. I think her mom enjoys the doll clothes even more than granddaughter does.
This season, I am hoping to get just enough free time to b get a project done.
I always look forward to spending time with my extended family!
Best part of this Christmas was being reunited with my four sisters for the first time in many years. Sharing recipes, traditions, and memories.
Such a beautiful and creative idea to make a wreath out of these gorgeous yarns.
I’m looking forward to some challenges in the new year, as I’m scheduled for surgery on January 10, for a lumpectomy for breast cancer they discovered just before Christmas. I have no family history of breast cancer in my family, but this was discovered with my mammogram, which I hadn’t had done for several years (because of no family history).
I thought I would post this here as a reminder to everyone to have those tests done. I have no other symptoms so that’s the only way it was found.
May the New Year hold many blessings for us all!
Thank you for sharing this. Yes doing your checkups is very important.
I hope everything goes well with your procedure and afterwards! Happy New Year and all the best. – Johanna 💕
I went through this in May, followed by radiation therapy until August. I also have no history of cancer in my family. I sailed through it all, and my hope is that you do, too. I’m sending healing thoughts your way.
I’m looking forward to seeing my cousin who for some crazy reason is wintering on Cape Cod when she lives in Florida!
The holiday season happens to be my least favorite time of year, but I still enjoy getting to spend a little extra time with family.
I am looking forward to some time away from work and seeing my family.
Family, friends, new crafts to explore for the up coming year. New beginnings and confirming old beginnings. Human interaction.
