My knitting doesn’t change with the seasons, it’s pretty much all sweaters and shawls, with an occasional cowl, hat or pair of mitts. I used to do blankets and afghans, but no so much anymore. This is a lovely spring garden you’ve assembled of us this month.
I work on whatever my heart desires. Sometimes for the season I am in, sometimes for the upcoming season. I love the EFA MKAL and MCAL projects and usually have several WIP’s going!
Love your products, your designers, and everything about EFA. J cannot stop buying but would LOVE to win the monthly giveaway some time! Love Tim’s flowered yarn garden!
What a beautiful, springy palette. I’m usually knitting or crocheting gifts, so that informs my making more than the seasons.
I make what ever pattern I see and love.
I’m crocheting a lacy shawl for my mother, a summer top for my daughter and a mosaic shawl for my sister currently. 🙂
Wow what a lovely giveaway 😍🧶💕 I amb currently knitting a tee for my daughter, a lacy shawl and crocheting little flowers and bookmarkers.
I’m not sure how to post without replying to a message. Anyways, I would like to finish my cardigan sweaters, it’s one of the patterns that’s in your website. But since its for me, I put it down for a bit and I’m now making a friend a graphghan India elephant.
I’m knitting bunnies for spring.
I love making clothes for my daughter! Jackets or beautiful dresses 🤩
Hi in answer to what I am knitting it is winter socks, hats, and mittens in bright colors for children and adults. I live in central Maine and we are coming out of a week of frigid temperatures followed by a week of snow storms. I love the new spring colors and shawl patterns. My goal this year has been to challenge myself to try more challenging patterns and to use bright colorful yarn. It’s was too hot in FL where I previously lived to wear sweaters or shawls & in Maine one needs several layers of heavy clothing to be warm.
Hi. Right now I am making 3 baby blankets, beanies and summer shawls. I love working on shawls since I donate them for the most part to nursing homes and our cancer center.
st the moment its all about socks
however i wish id known about your knit along and crochet along as i would definately have liked to have joined yous all in those projects maybe in 2024
You can still join our MCAL it’s not too late. 🤩
But I really hope you join us for 2024!
Have a nice day. – Johanna 💕
I love to knit sweaters, gloves and shawls in any season. I have a pair of gloves on ny needles now.
Spring is for planning projects for gift-giving throughout the year. It’s the time to explore patterns, find new yarn favorites, and plan for action!
I love knitting and crocheting shawls and sweaters/cardigans year round! It is so much fun! Congratulations to Evelyn Sargent!!!
Hi Katia B
I would love to win that beautiful spring giveaway 💜. I love to knit and crochet. Lately I have been doing more crocheting as I was always more of a knitter but I saw Chandi’s Persephone shawl/top Pattern and decided to try to crochet it and it didn’t turn out to bad. So now I’m trying a simple sumer top to crochet. I usually make things for my 2 neices and nephew for Christmas as I’m not a speedy knitter. I decided to try and make something for myself and enjoyed doing crochet now for a change. I really enjoy getting Chandi’s newsletters and look forward to seeing her beautiful Yarn.
I’m a crocheter, and i usually work kind of slow so honestly my projects don’t change much in spring! But I do love pastels, so that often inspires me in the spring months 😉
I like to crochet shawls in the spring
Knitting is new to me. I’ve knitted several shawls and am now working on my 3rd pair of socks. I feel like another shawl this spring.
I like to knit lace shawls. It’s cold where I work so they work year round not just in spring.
I choose projects with lighter weight yarn in the springtime. I’m currently starting the Giselle sweater pattern using your crema sock yarn.
I usually crochet blankets, but am working on expanding and learning how to crochet shawls as well.
I honestly don’t do anything different seasonally…. I just knit what my imagination tells me.
I crochet shawls in spring
I’m knitting socks and maybe amis this spring.
My knitting doesn’t change much, it’s frequently tied to birthdays for presents
I’m currently working on a Jane Thornley free range knitted vest in desert inspired colors.
Well I still have to finish the blanket I started a month ago 🙃
I do not knit differently according to season. I usually have a wedding afghan, a few baby sweaters, and a shawl on my needles at all times. It depends where I am going as to which project goes along.
I love to make shawls in the spring . Anything airy. And I get going on small Christmas knits like dishcloths for little gifts
Congratulations to Evelyn for the February win…..what beautiful squishy things you can make! In the spring, I enjoy knitting lightweight, short sleeved sweaters and shawls. I wear sundresses a lot in the summer but sometimes feel the need to cover my shoulders as evening approaches.
I don’t change what I crochet for the seasons. I crochet shawls, scarfs, afghans, hats, doilies, snowflakes and lap throws. Your yarn colors are the most beautiful I think I’ve ever seen. Thank you for the most beautiful giveaways! Congratulations to the winner!
Congratulations Evelyn Sargent!
Hi Chandi!
In the Spring, I always love to whip out beautiful lace shawls, and light weight tops to prepare for the summer.
Thank you so much for the stunning monthly giveaways.
Your yarns are so beautiful and bright! It makes me want to start a bunch of projects. I don’t know what my spring projects will be yet, but I’m finishing a new alpaca dress this weekend 🙂
I’m knitting a vest, is still cold here in PNW
I usually stick to socks and blankets but this spring I want to try a light sweater or top.
Hi Chandi, I have been following you and entering your giveaways for years. I love knitting and crocheting and I use them to share myself with those I love. I was a nurse by profession but a life long chronic incurable illness caused me to have to go on disability back in 2009. The blessing for me is that all things yarn have filled the voids left when I could no longer work. I have joined the year long MKAL and I am loving it. Thank you for sharing your gifts!
I will be making a couple of short sleeve sweaters (Ponchoesque and Eliza Jane) as soon as I finish my Worth Wrap.
Bonjour, vos photos sont toujours aussi magnifiques, je participe au tirage au sort.
Seems like I Knit and Crochet baby blankets in the spring.
I crocheting a bunny and lion for my grandkids. I also crochet hats and mittens all year that I I donate to local food pantry to give away in the fall.
Those yarns are amazing!
I still have a Musselburgh hat on my needles, but it is pink. Does that count for spring? We got over 20″ of snow over the past 2 weeks and more on the way.
Beautiful spring colors this month. I’m not a fast knitter, so I generally just try to keep up with whatever KAL I’m working on and finish up WIPs started earlier. As beautiful as they are, I just don’t wear shawls, so I try to stick with things I will use, like blankets and cardigans. But I do want to make some light-weight layering pieces, like short sleeve lacy cardigans. I just finished Clue 2 of Advertence and am trying to start the Florescence shawl now. I struggle with crochet…trying to find where all the stiches go. And I generally don’t like the looks of crochet compared to knit. But this pattern is delicate enough that it has intrigued me.
Hi Chandi and Tim!!! What do I knit and crochet in the spring? Whatever suits my fancy at the time. LOL It doesn’t matter what season it’s for, if I like it I make it. Thank you. 🌸🌼🌻💕
My spring knitting this year will be socks for friends in the Southern Hemisphere – will deliver them personally when I travel to visit soon.
No spring over here – just rain and shine all year round! Projects usually revolve around shawls and lacy doilies.
This might be my first year knitting so much. Usually, I would knit furiously over the course of 9 months while I awaited my baby. This spring will be the mkal and a baby blanket for my friend’s 9th baby 💕
Same as the rest of the year.
Hi Chandi
Thank you for your beautiful emails and the love and kindness your share, all of your work is very inspiring .. Your personality is as vibrant and beautiful as your yarn.
Im an evolving knitter and learning all the time. I tend to start a few peojects at a time so im just finiahing a baby throw for a toddlers bed and bunny baby outfit and hoping to complete a lace front cardigan. Ive come across your beautiful knitting on facebook and ive been inspired to knit lace shawl so ive been looking up all about different yarns and patterns and styles of knitring. Normally id jump right in but im hoping i will be able to start a shawl by the end of Easter. I dont get ro knit everyday but i would love to knit and create full time. Its great the world of yarn and needles and patrerns continues to evolve and expand, thank you for your advice on the ChiaoGoo twist kneedles i found a shop in spain that sells all the different sets.
God Bless you and your talents
Annmarie from Ireland
Spring is no different than any other season for knitting. Maybe color choices are paler or less dull, but socks, scarves, shawls…year round projects!
Congratulations to Evelyn! Thank you for another opportunity to win some of your gorgeous yarn xx I’m
still knitting and crocheting blankets right now, because once summer hits it’ll be too warm here. I intersperse large projects with smaller, quick finish stuffies or mini amigurumi and in the Spring, I will try to finish up a couple of WIPs so I can find my missing hooks and needles 😉
Hey! I have been knitting for years but just learned to crochet in the past year, so I will be trying my hand at some more crochet this spring!
I just knit all year round! We are going into Autumn in New Zealand. I love knitting shawls, scarves, baby clothes, socks and blankets.
I hope to make your Bordeaux Nights top with Pink Pearl Alpaca Lace and Elven Grove Pearlescent Fingering.
I just knot whatever I feel like, but I do tend to want to look forward ans see what I want to use or wear in the next season and knit that but its been mostly misses, so I may need to look 2 -3 seasons ahead. I do love shawls and scarves. But am thinking of making a cloche for for spring at this very moment in Moongleam…
I love knitting shawls and hats, I’m trying to get brave enough to knit an adult sweater
Right now I have on my needles: socks, baby socks, shawl, and a sweater
Another beautiful set of yarn!
I don’t change what I knit by season. I’m always knitting/crocheting shawls, and almost always knitting socks. I just love knitting!
I crochet whatever I feel like making. It truly depends on what catches my fancy and if I have the yarn to make it. I just finished a cute mini afghan and started another Adeline shawl using leftover pearlescent fingering yarn from two previous shawls and my last skein of said yarn. I may make some more socks or maybe another mini afghan or finish hand sewing a quilt top made with hexies.
True lovely spring colours. I want to make a T-shirt. Or a light summer shawl.
hey, I like knitting some light and colorful shawls for the evenings
I love to challenge myself with my knitting by learning new things. I don’t really change what I knit, I just continue to work on whatever I was doing in the latter part of winter. I was recently able to buy some of your yarn and fell in love with it. So soft! I am thinking of something like a cowl or shawlette for my neck. It is one of the few yarns I am able to hold next to skin without it feeling scratchy.
I crochet anything. Sometimes I work on a larger project that will be a Christmas gift! I don’t usually do « seasonal » crocheting or knitting.
Thank you, Chandi, for your giveaway of gorgeous, colorful yarns – truly like a vibrant spring garden. I enjoy knitting scarves, cowls, and shawls; I love sharing them with my bestie! Unfortunately, I am knitting on a budget and would love to be able to use quality yarns such as these for the mystery knit along (MKAL) – Advertence. My current project is an older pattern – the Worth Wrap.
I knit/crochet just about anything at any time of year. Whatever strikes my fancy & calls out to me! Thanks for all you do Chandi!!
I have to say that I am in love with this giveaway! The colors are gorgeous! EEK!!! I pretty much knit the same items all year, shawls and sweaters/tops. However, the colors I use change; I prefer cooler tones in the spring and summer, and in the fall and winter, I prefer warmer tones or jewel tones. Thank you to the EFA team for keeping me inspired and for all the beauty you put into the world.
Whatever strikes my fancy! At the beginning of the year, I always tell myself to start thinking about knitting next year’s Christmas gifts. It never works out that way! I’m always getting carried away by something new!
By spring I’m usually finally finishing at winter projects and ready to start something new. Nothing I particular just whatever looks fun. It’s also a time when I look at finishing previously abandoned projects especially blankets since I know it’ll be too hot to work on those in summer. Have a great day!
This year I will be making (crochet) baby blankets! I just finished one, have one in work, and want to do one or two more after that!
Hi Chandi! I’ve been wanting to make shawls and thinking about summer tops lately. Thank you for the chance to win your beautiful yarn!!
Bags, cover ups, bucket hats and light tops/ sweaters.
I am not starting any new projects this spring. I am trying to finish up my WIPs along with getting my house ready to sell. I really need to downsize.
I am a shawl knitter ☺️ Usually I use wool, but now I am working with cotton.
Hi Chandi and team!! I’m still too new to knitting to really know what my seasonal habits are. I’ve only been knitting since last Christmas so I’m still working up the confidence to try fitted garments. Right now I’m very much enjoying the way DK weight yarn feels and knits up quickly and I’m about halfway through the Enchanted pattern using some gorgeous variegated sparkle DK.
all knit all the time
wow, wonderful colors
Spring is usually the time I knit and crochet summer tops, working with cotton, silk, bamboo and linen rather than mohair, and while I do use some wool/wool blends they tend to be lace weight rather than aran weight and up
aloha…it’s always the same season here on Maui…HOT… I always make lighter weight things for myself and am working on a lacy sweater jacket right now. The colors you have chosen are just gorgeous.
I am participating in the Lato Crochet Along, and LOVING IT!! The Vellum Fingering yarn is an absolute treat to work with! <3
Hello Chandi, what a wonderful giveaway. You are so generous, thank you
I knit the same things year round: socks, shawls, jumpers, cardigans, and wraps. I do try to work in some gifting knitting throughout the year too. Good luck to everyone entering the giveaway
My knitting repertoire doesn’t usually change from jumpers and shawls to lightweight tops until late spring/early summer, when it is too hot to knit with wool. That’s when I switch over to cottons and linens and short-sleeve garments.
The season has no influence on what I crochet/knit, just the yarn changes 🙂
I don’t really knit or crochet seasonally – I just choose patterns because I like them and work on them throughout the year.
Hi Chandi,
What a beautiful array of spring colors.
I crochet. In fact I’m currently working on my 3rd shawl pattern of yours. My first 2 turned out incredibly gorgeous.
Thanks for this opportunity to win some gorgeous yarn.
Usually I kind of miss shawl season and then start something warm in spring. at least it is then ready once it gets cold again. And right now I am blocking a blanket.
I’m currently knitting National Park hats. As the weather gets warmer, I’m looking forward to making a special little baby dress.
Now i am knitting a cardigan for my mom and very happy 😊
So traumhaft schöne Garne… Love it 😍….
I like to crochet anything that peaks my interest like several of your patterns. hehe. I recently ordered Romance of the Sea and some Pearlescent fingering yarn to learn this poncho. I’m and advanced beginner becoming intermediate. But right now, I’m finishing working on a block-of-the-month afghan and then working on a Mandala afghan both by Annie’s Club Kits.
Here in Michigan, spring comes a lot later than the calendar indicates, so I’m still knitting winter stuff.
I don’t tend to change what I’m making with the seasons – I just make what speaks to my heart when it’s time to start a new project. The hardest thing is trying to stick to ONE project at a time! 😊
In the spring I start knitting or crocheting tops or t-shirts. Also “quick” projects like cowls or socks. Or sometimes a light sweater or cardigans. On the needles right now: Point Horizon and Drift.
I am looking forward to knitting a lot of lovely flowy shirts and light sweaters as these are my favorite projects to complete.
I love to knit sweaters, shawls and broad and long scarves. The season doesn’t matter to me – as long as I’m knitting.
A beautiful top down sweater!!
I’m aiming for some lacy shawls. With Mothering Sunday in March and my mother’s 90th birthday in April, I’ve got gifts to make. Oh, and my niece is pregnant so there will be some cute blankets on my hooks, too!
My Spring knitting is usually wraps and showls, cross between a shawl and a cowl😂 But since I’m down under it’s Autumn so Cardys Cowls and Thick Wraps. Congrats to Evelyn. Also Those colours and photography deserves an applause 👏🏻♥️🦘🐨🇦🇺
Through your yarn colors my heart is always in spring mode thanks for all this beauty ❤
Honestly my knitting in the spring is just me trying to finish the work I started in the winter 😂
I try to start knitting shirts for summer, but I’m often behind with WIPs. I’d love to crochet a big throw for my living room in these lovely spring colours. Bring on the sun!
I’m on a lace shawl binge this spring, and it seems everyone I know is having babies, so baby blankets are on the agenda, too.
This spring is for me all about socks. For the first time I am participating in Sock Maddness on Ravelry.
Well, most of this year will be all the wee things for wee ones because both my girls are due to welcome a new family member within days of each other in our Spring!!! 👶🍼👶🍼
Such a glorious selection of deliciousness for a very lucky follower.
Your generosity knows no bounds. Have a truly wonderful March, Chandi. xo
This spring I will be knitting socks and also mini Easter egg covers 🙂
I was over 60 when I started crochet. I visited my mother in a nursing home and noticed that all the other women had lovely crocheted afghans but my mother didn’t have one. I went to a yarn shop one weekend and learned how to make a granny square. That got me started and I haven’t stopped since. I’ve never got beyond the elementary stage, but I’m very happy with the lovely pieces I’ve made.
I tend to pick colors based on my moods but I crochet and knit literally everything and anything all the time. My wip list is ridiculous. Lol
Hi gorgeous 🙂 I like to crochet outfit for myself in spring. Summer dress, top, T-shirt … I’m thinking to try trousers this spring.
I like to work on whatever strikes my fancy. I just started on a winter hat for a friend, since the pattern just came out. I have a few more hat requests in the lineup too. Then I want to finish up a couple shawls I have almost done. Then, who knows! There are so many patterns I love.
I will crochet a shawl (first time 💪)
Hi Chandi, I crochet whatever speaks to me, I see something, love it and try to recreate it! Last year I crocheted a little motor scooter for my Dad’s birthday, which he loved. I like to do blankets in the winter as they keep you warm while you are making them! 😊
Keep making your beautiful skeins, one day I hope to be able to afford some ❤️❤️
I tend to knit or crochet as the mood takes me … don’t seem to do the seasonal thing
Ahhhhhhh spring! Can’t wait! This year I’m going to knit a tshirt out of Quince’s linen. Salmon colored.
And you’re right. Tim’s display is gorgeous!
I never seem to finish wearables that I only start one season ahead of when I think I want to wear them, so I’ve given up caring which season I make them in/for as long as it’s something I know I want to make. Amigurumi and shawls are good anytime, no real seasonality to it.
I love making shawls, flowers, anything springy. I hope win, Kuber been a huge fan of your yarns for years.
I will be knitting cardigans in pretty colours for my granddaughter. She looks beautiful in anything 😍
In spring I like to get my daughters ready for the summer – some cute short-sleeved top would be the next thing I’m up to. :o)
I crochet anything anytime. I’ve just started learning knitting, thanks to your YT videos! I’m obsessed with making socks but I haven’t got around to it yet, so that’s probably what I’ll work up to this Spring. Lots of love to you all. Céline x
I suppose I make shawls in the spring, but really I make whatever strikes my fancy.
I knit socks (all year!)! Shower sleeve tops, totes. Too hot for heavier sweaters…
I crochet whatever strikes my fancy at the time!
Dear Chandi,
wow – what a giveaway!! Georgous…
I’m still trying to finish a cardigan made of local merino – that’ll be a real winter wear…
And then I think I’ll need something smaller, like socks or a tee – preferably of course from your extraordinary beautiful hand-dyed yarn :-))
This Spring I am making a wedding throw and a baby blanket for two different family members.
I don’t have any particular stuff i crochet in spring.I just crochet as “my spirit leads me”:)
I have five sons so I like to crochet Afghans in the summertime to give them for Christmas but in the winter time I like to knit sweaters for myself and my granddaughters
I have several grandchildren with spring birthdays. So I am usually crocheting gifts such as sweaters, dresses, pillows, or toys.
I just work on anything that catches my eye, without regard to the season. BTW, the photos of the giveaway yarns are spectacular!
Hi Chandi, thank you so much for hosting a giveaway. You and your husband hand dye beautiful colors and with beautiful yarns. This Spring I will be making shawls and cowls and learn to make socks.
So many of us just make what inspires us. For me it’s shawls, cowls, and scarves because there’s enough real estate to indulge in a lot of texture and interesting stitches, don’t take as long as blankets, and are easy to wear and share!
Im a knitter of shawls, lightweight or winter weight, I just love them and all the different ways you can wear them, so versatile!!
Wow! I love all those soft colours, especially that one skein of Sincere Sock poking out there. Alas, it is not Spring here in Australia; instead, we are heading into Autumn. But that makes little difference to what I knit. Several of those colours and yarns would work equally well for Autumn and it’s really the weight and handle of the yarn that influences what I make. I loved making some lightweight shawls out of Moongleam over the Summer. It was a pleasure to work with and not too hot to handle! I’m looking forward to making an Autumn wrap out of Pearlescent Fingering and, having now gathered together all the colours I need, an Alpaca Silk DK wrap for Winter.
Lovely yarns as always! Thanks for the chance to win them!
I am busy finishing up a sweater, ready for next fall, I guess. Then I switch into fill scale production of hats for the local food pantry next winter. It takes a while to make 100 hats!
I crochet whatever inspires me! Typically blankets and shawls. 🙂
Wow that is a beautiful collection. If I see a knitting or crochet pattern I like, regardless of season, I jump right in. I am teaching my daughter how to crochet aragarumi animals at present so nothing is too much, very trying as she has never crochetted before meh!.😊🤗
I generally knit smaller items but would love to knit myself a sweater at some point. Love the colors. Thank you for the opportunity to win.
I seldom plan my projects. I usually have more than one crocheting item going. Right now, I’m working on a cat bed. Next, I have no idea but it’s fun .
Congratulations Evelyn! Enjoy your prize. Spring knitting always brings a change to lighter colours, filled with anticipation for a new year ahead. I find I am strongly influenced by the increasing light, the hopefulness of spring bulbs and blossom. The whole rebirth of the year. I feel that you are too, Chandi. Love to you, Tim and your team, Georgina.
I have too many co workers having little bunnies of their own so I’ve been working on lots of baby blankies.
Hey, I love to knit cardigans in the Spring. They are perfect for layering to keep the chill off because I am ALWAYS cold!
I enjoy making garments and accessories throughout the year, despite the season. So I will continue to make sweaters (maybe lighter in weight), tops, tees, tanks, socks, hats, headbands 🤣. If it inspires me, I will make it. Thanks for being such a beautiful person.
Planning to knit a tshirt or two. But I’m also still working on mittens from winter so I don’t really change projects with the seasons. I’ve also been absorbed with spinning my own yarn for a scarf so I’ve been all over the map this year.
I’m working on lacey spring and summer tops. I think I’m addicted. There’s something so satisfying about lace. Thank you for another giveaway. You are so kind.
My knitting doesn’t change..I knit the same things all year long! Right now I’m knitting socks for this year’s Christmas gifts! Thanks for another fabulous giveaway..good luck everyone!🍀
Recently, most of my knitting has been a variety of test knits for various designers.
Currently working on spring colored shawls! What a great give away!
Spring is such a short season here in Alaska. Usually I plan and start gardening, so not as much knitting as before. But those lovely colors call for a open work shawl or two for the cooler spring/summer days we have!
I don’t crochet this time of year because I am a tax preparer. After April 15, I crohet like a madwoman.
Generally, I knit light shawls to cover the shoulders on summer evenings!
Sometimes I prefer to knit items for fall and winter like collars or ponchos. In fact, no matter the season or the project, I have to knit
Gorgeous yarn! I would like to crochet light weight tops…but am generally finishing WIPs
I enjoy knitting shawls and have been knitting a lot of socks lately
Between living in MA where I’d swear it’s cold at least 6mo of the year and just being a person who always runs cold (I kid you not, the heated seats in my car are on year round, even when it’s 90F outside), my knitting crocheting doesn’t change with the seasons. I’m currently making both a DK weight seater and shawl and will definitely still have time to wear both once done before they go on a brief hiatus until October. I guess I’m just not a seasonal maker.
Beautiful yarns as always. I knit, crochet, sew or embroider whatever project speaks to me. I’m currently starting Harukaze poncho and Clue 3 of the crochet along. Thank you for your beautiful spirit that brings smiles to our hearts.
I don’t limit what I knit to a particular season! Lately, I’m enjoying knitting sweaters in all kinds of different yarns—plant based, blends, wool etc. I also knit shawls and hats. I just love to knit!
My favorite thing to knit right now is capelets or ponchos. I am working on a capelet for Spring and my New Year’s Resolution as far as knitting is concerned, is to learn how to cable stitch. I love British TV and I get enthralled by the beautiful cable sweaters the British actors wear. Love you Chandi.
I don’t have anything specific that I like to knit in spring. I like to knit shawls, sweaters, socks, etc. I just finished a set of gnomes and I’m currently working on 2 sweaters.
Good morning, you beautiful soul. I would love to win this gorgeous yarn to continue creating gifts for my family and friends. Your lovely yarn is like wearing a warm hug, which everyone needs. Thank you, Donna
I plan to knit a set of baby clothes (short pants, jacket, hat and socks) for my friend’s baby arriving in July. I have trouble finishing projects, I hope I will manage to stay on track this time 😀
Again with the lovely colours – how do you do it?!
My spring knitting is a mix of let’s-get-this-winter-project-finished and eek!-it’ll-be-summer-soon … plus, of course, various non-season-specific stuff. Right now, it’s a beautiful Giselle in lilac sockyarn, which is actually quite seasonal (we’re having a spot of winter weather), socks for my youngest (size huge man feet), and dishcloths.
I’ve read “Endurance”, too, and loved it!
Well, I am working on the 2023 MKAL, of course, and I akways keep an eye iut for a new fun project. It’s never too early to start this year’s gifts!
Socks. I always love to knit socks!
Spring is on the way and you inspire me to finish up the winter projects! Thank you for the uplifting thoughts!
I don’t usually work on anything specific for the season. I’m currently working on several blankets, a knitted hat, a knitted boho cardigan and a hexagon cardigan. 🙂 I recently finished the Quietude wrap for a gift and I think it came out quite nice. Thank you for the pattern. I thought it was going to be more difficult than it turned out to be. It was an enjoyable project.
My heart and soul ache for soft spring colors once there is hope of warmer weather! Between socks, shawls, shawlettes, and perhaps a baby blanket my choices are endless so each and every year I look for something new to help me chase off those cold days of gloom. I’m a knitter but decided to really start anew this spring so I’m crocheting a scarf/wrap. My supply of yarn is never that far advanced that I can just dive in…I have to use it as soon as I purchase it!
i will start christmas gifts or whatever I get distracted with
We do a lot of camping in the spring & summer, so I mostly work smaller projects that are more portable – socks, cowl, dishcloths, and the like. I also tend to stay away from bulkier yarns in the spring & summer.
My knitting isn’t really seasonal, but year-round hats and flats. Right now I’m working on a concatenation shawl.
I’m not one of the “organized, plan ahead” kind of yarners, and I am capable of doing a project in about a week, so I knit (and crochet) whatever I catches my interest at the moment.
Yes, I’d love to win the giveaway; your yarn is luscious!
In the spring I switch from large, heavy projects to small things like socks and amigurumi.
I like to work on tees and tank tops
I do not change a lot with the seasons. I always have a baby blanket on a hook to give away I try to donate a blanket every month. In the summer I like to do light shawls. I try to do dishcloths every month, and hats From August to February
I don’t really change my projects for the seasons, I always have so many WIP, that I’m always just trying to get each one finished…lol.
I like to knit socks at this time of year
I knit whatever strikes my fancy. Would so love to have fun with these beauties!
I pretty much make anything that looks fun, even if it’s for winter. (It would probably take me till winter to finish a large project though!).
Usually no specific project for Spring. I typically am working on whatever project I started prior to Spring.
I knit all sorts of projects. Socks, cowls, scarves, sweaters. Just love to knit!
For spring projects, I tend to crochet lighter sweaters and start planning for the next winter, since it takes me so long to finish things!
I work on almost anything. I am doing 3 different mystery KALs right now including your yearlong knitted shawl. I will knit, crochet or sew almost every day after work. It is my stress reducer.
I enjoy making lightweight tops and wraps in the Spring… and finishing my winter blanket.
My knitting is never regulated by the seasons! I select a pattern and my yarn, and start the process which is the best part of one’s day. Always satisfaction in finishing a pair of socks, a shawl or a hat.
I’d like to try a light sweater or tank for the summer. Time to explore the patterns!
I’m knitting a little cowl out of fancy vacation yarn my sister brought me right now, but hopefully I’ll be picking up the projects I had to put on hold for Christmas knitting soon. This month’s yarn is gorgeous, and you have such beautiful pictures of it, too!
I’ve recently started weaving on a rigid heddle loom so I will probably switch to a lighter color palette and texture for spring and summer.
I crochet more shawls and tops during springtime. This spring I want to try and learn how to knit though.
I knit shawls and cows. But I use wonderful yarn.
I am always crocheting shawls! They are my favorite thing to crochet any time of the year.
I’m knitting a blanket right now!
I don’t really stitch according to season. I’m currently working on a popular designer’s blanket pattern that should keep me busy for a few months.
These all look gorgeous! My knitting and crochet is a mix of projects throughout the year. I try to start some lighter weight tops in the spring so they can be worn when it gets warmer. Otherwise it depends on what I feel insured to make at the time.
I still crochet sweaters and shawls but with lighter weight fibers. Market bags too because as the weather gets warmer, there are more markets to shop at! 🙂 I also start looking for and trying out new battery’s for swimsuit cover ups!
such beautiful wearables could be made with this!
I knit everything, anytime, anywhere! Always have a project with me, usually sweaters or socks, and there is always a shawl project in the car.
Usually the Spring brings announcements from friends of expecting grandchildren, so baby blankets and shawls for moms are a big thing here. I love the EFA designs and seem to collect them faster than I make them. But they are such unique and beautiful designs, I can’t help myself.
I really just knit/crochet whatever project brings me joy…no matter the season!
I crochet whatever pattern strikes my fancy, lots of shawls, dishcloths, summer bags for phones or the farmers market at the moment
I love to knit scarves, shawls and hats (summer & winter) all year long. Knitting is relaxation and often I find myself smiling as my needles ‘click’ away. My sweet Doxie, loves laying next to me snoozing away to the sound of the needles 🤗
I like to knit or crochet tees and tanks in the spring but this spring I’m working on baby showers gifts.
Hi there, I love and thank you for the free Friday patterns. I am working on a baby sweater right now as a gift to my grand niece . I have a couple of scrappy blankets going as well. I knit and crochet. I love it all!😍. I have several skeins of your beautiful wool that I will start a shawl with soon. Thank you for all that you do and share. God Bless you!
My knitting is usually hats, cowls, and mittens all year round, but I’ve seen some cute bunny and egg patterns that have me considering some Easter knitting. Oh, and I do tend to use smaller and lighter yarn 🙂
I just finished gifts (Christmas and babies born in the spring). I bought a shawl kit last fall. I think it’s time to start that knitting project, something for me now!
I like to knit lightweight projects in the spring. I’m working on gloves while I await my shipment of Resilient Sock, then I will switch projects. The yak silk lace would make stunning shawls!
Hi! I love to crochet and knit. The summers in texas kinda steer me to lighter projects. I work on Christmas throws , shawls, hats and gifts all year long though. The grandkids always ask for plushies so those are done on demand of course! Beautiful giveaway and congratulations to Evelyn.
Beautiful colors as always! I loom knit and I’m always making blankets. For this yarn though, I think I’d learn to crochet!
Hope you are having a blessed day. Your yarn and projects are so lovely. I’m working on a knitted dress for my granddaughter right now. I’m not sure what will be next. 🙏🏼
I don’t plan for the seasons and just knit whatever’s next in my Ravelry queue or whatever I fancy next. I even branch out now and again and crochet something. At the moment, I’m finishing off a red-orange sweater that has cables all over it. It’s been a long-term project as it’s in fingering weight yarn but it’s going to be so worth it when it’s done. I won’t be able to wear it until next autumn at the earliest though! Thanks for your generous giveaway and for giving me the opportunity to win. Have a great day!
I am currently working on a Nordic summer dress as we move towards spring ever so slowly. I am also making a sweater and newsie hat for one of my grandsons. He will be able to wear it for a while yet, as we are still on our parkas here in Saskatchewan canada.
I crochet mostly afghans, stuffies, baby blankets, shawls/wraps. This spring I’d like to make tops for my daughter and niece, and maybe even me! Those colors are beautiful!
I’m very new to crocheting so I have lots of things I want to crochet. I want to make some afghans, shawls and some sweaters for my daughter. I have several patterns already so I’m getting prepared to stitch away. I also want to learn to knit. I find it fascinating. I’m just so excited to dive into yarn projects!
I knit summer jumpers and shawls in spring. We don’t have much of a spring here, tending to move from winter to summer in one week! There’s not much I can make in one week! Also, for such a short season special clothes are not required.
I crochet various items but I love doing children’s clothes and toys. Also shawls
Hi, I like to knit lacier, lighter shawls and tees. And always socks. Perfect for the warmer weather.
I’ve been knitting light weight tops for summer. The colors in this giveaway are gorgeous!!!
I’m typically very busy in the garden in the spring, so my time to crochet slows down a bit – but I’ve always got a project or two in the works. I’ll be continuing my MCAL Multivalence all year, and I’m sure I’ll have one of EFA’s other projects in the works as well.
For spring I love to knit and crochet lace or lacy items, and my favorite item with lace are shawls. 🙂
I love to knit lacey shawls but I’ve been itching to try some shrugs and cardigans.
This spring I would like to make children feel comfort and wellness with comfort blankets and toys I donate to hospitals for putting in take home bags for children
Light airy shawls for cool spring evenings!
I live in Florida. Love knitting and am always looking for interesting short sleeved sweaters. Love your selection of spring colors. Would use them all year in this climate.
I don’t change up my knitting or crochet projects depending on the season. If I want to crochet up an afghan or blanket in the heat of summer, I go for it!! So, it’s shawls, scarves….whatever perks my interest.
It’s Autumn here where I live, but I don’t usually choose my projects by season. Right now I’m starting my first sweater!
In the spring I am inspired to crochet lightweight scarves and lacy tops in bright colors, which remind me of flowers.
In the spring I knit and crochet what I hope I can finish before summer hits – this year it’s a shawl with lovely pinks, yellows, and greens.
I start on Christmas gifts for family and friends
Shawls. Always shawls. I don’t knit or crochet clothing, so I just switch from shawls in heavier-weight yarn to shawls in lighter-weight yarn. I cannot knit or crochet indoors because I need natural light, so I sit on my deck next to the bird feeders and the birds swirl around my head as I knit or crochet.
Lightweight socks, summer sweaters
Right now, I’m making some knit bunnies with extra clothes for my 2 granddaughters.
I don’t have any set items I knit at any given time, I pretty much knit whatever trip’s my trigger at that particular time.
I only just started crocheting a few months ago, but shawls are my go to, and I want to start learning amigurmi so I can make little animals.
I am on the last stretch of knitting a sweater. It’s your top down “my first sweater”. I’m knitting the sleeves two at a time double knit in the flat technique.
Oh my goodness!! what wonderful colors and I could do sooooo much with all of this and make so many people happy with so many different items. There is something and some color for anyone!
Hi Chandi, love the giveaway pictures! I usually focus on projects that I’ve been dying to do or gifts for friends and family. I don’t worry to much about the seasons. I’m the kind of person that is still wearing a sweatshirt or cardigan inside even though it’s 100 degrees outside.
I am a newish knitter (less than a year and so dang addicted!) and this is my first Spring for knitting. I am working on the Beach Martini shrug, which will be my first sweater-like item.
I love to start my summer tops in the spring. I’m love making camisoles and light and airy longer tunics. Your yarns are so gorgeous.
Thank you Once again Chandi, for your undyeing love for fiber!!Pun intended!Even when I was in grade school I loved fiber! You inspire us to think outside the box for new creativity!Your yarns are so beautiful and the selection is inspiring!I like to knit and crochet accessories with lacey and textured patterns and baby items!Congratulations to you Evelyn!!🌷
Socks and shawls tend to be my spring project
I start to do lighter weight projects, it gets quite warm in Florida. I crochet baby blankets, doilies, and crochet the tops onto kitchen towels to hang them with.
I love crotchet with the pretty spring colors, your yarn is like a picture of colors, congratulations to the monthly winner 🥇
I usually begin new projects in the fall. In the spring, I work on whatever is already in progress. Right now it is my first sweater.
I knit and crochet for friends and family as well as our county’s children’s services. (Shawls, hats, cowls, baby blankets, lap blankets) Thank you for doing this give away. We could all use some coziness these days.
At this time of year, I am thinking about knitting sweaters for spring through fall…..knit in sport, DK and perhaps fingering. They can be long or short sleeve, plain knitting with pattern or color work. Single skein shawl patterns are also good.
I don’t really change what I knit in the spring but I go for the spring colors—yellow, pink, greens
just recently taken up knitting again after years off. I knit and crochet for my grandchildren (all teenagers). They love my handmade ‘treasures’.
I’m not sure if I have any spring specific projects, but right now I’m working on some baby things for expecting friends and sisters. I also have a first sock still on the needles just waiting to get it’s toe bound off and finished 😂
Beautiful colors, as always!! I enjoy both crochet and knit. I am currently making a Mitered Capelet for Spring, and preparing to make an heirloom blanket as a 50th wedding anniversary gift. Thanks, Chandi, for all you do and for your inspiration.
In the spring I am still knitting garments and shawls from my fall WIP’s that I didn’t finish. I can never have too many WIP’s lol. Normally I have about 5 projects on the needles at one time.
I keep working on the same things I work on other times of the year. Mostly socks, shawls, and wraps!
Congrats to Evelyn. Would be so great to win with such beautiful yarn. I love to knit and crochet colorful, flowery and lacy shawls and things and baby blankets to donate. Love your yarn and thanks for everything you do!
I am still working on some cowls I started this winter! I have my eyes on a beautiful lightweight shawl for spring/summer. Thanks for your generous giveaways!
For this spring I’m working on a crocheted tank top. It’s my first time attempting to make one, I hope it turns out well.
I knit and crochet just about anything. Mostly tops for myself…sleeveless or with sleeves, baby clothing for friends, beanies, shawls….whatever they ask me for.
It is always a feast for the eyes to see the beautiful yarn and colours you select for each and every project.
In spring I usually gravitate more toward light shawls or large brimmed hats. It’s always nice to use what you’ve made right away!
In the Spring, I like to crochet lightweight tops or skirts and practical things like water bottle carriers for people. I also like to crochet flowers and butterflies.
Hi Chandi, well I’m in Australia and when it comes to yarn I have issues, it could be the reason why I’m divorced now, lol, I do have a problem with collecting yarn. There are so many in such amazing and beautiful colours and thicknesses. For me in spring I usually start making jumpers in both crochet and knitting. I start in spring hoping that I’ll finish in time for winter. I haven’t finished any though, mainly because I start changing the pattern which then makes it harder to finish them, oh then I see some new coloured wool and think how good it would look as some booties and start them and the cycle starts all over again, but you an NEVER have enough yarn. Lol
I usually just crochet whatever happens to inspire me no matter what the season. At the moment I am working on shawls for each season, a wonderful flower pattern for spring, a beautiful butterfly for summer, a leaf for fall and snowflake for the winter.
Bonjour Chandi,
J’adore ce que vous faites, j’adore vos patrons, présentement je tricote le châle Seinesation, je vous suit depuis quelques années, je demeure au Québec, Canada et merci pour ce beau concours! Félicitations à la gagnante du mois dernier 😉
I mostly knit or crochet scarfs or shawls. Occasionally I’ll make a sweater for my niece or nephews. In the fall, I like to gather all my leftover yarn and make hats, mittens and scarfs to donate to a school or homeless shelters.
I don’t really knit specific things for specific seasons. I knit whatever strikes my fancy. 🙂
Spring is usually when I start thinking about Christmas giving. Spring colors just make me happy which translates to beautiful scarves and gloves. Yay!
I like to make light shawls and baskets in the spring!
I like knitting socks as the weather gets warmer, but it really just depends on what patterns speak to me.
I tend to knit whatever catches my eye, regardless of season. However, this spring, I believe I’ll be working on a light sweater and maybe a shawl or two!
I’ve also been thinking about trying to crochet a little more. I think it would be fun to make a bunch of granny squares and just see what I can turn them into.
Hello 🙂
I am knitting spring accessories like shawls and berets <3
Basically all year round I try to just crochet whatever comes to mind. Whether it be a blanket or an amigurumi. I just recently started back up with knitting again (thanks to the MKAL) and might start to do more knitted projects as well. Have a beautiful rest of your week.
I usually knit socks in the spring. I tend to do hats, mitts, cows etc in the fall so they can be worn during the winter…so in the spring I do socks that can be worn in the spring and summer.
I started knitting a little over on year ago, so most of my spring knitting last year was learning projects like dishcloths, scarves and blankets. So far, I am knitting whatever I what to learn or calls to me no matter the season. These pictures and yarn look so beautiful. Thanks for such wonderful yarn to work with.
I’m finishing a scarf, but I’d like to figure out a spring project to work on during my Spring break.
In the Spring I love to knit light sweaters, sweaters, and socks. And I love to crochet picnic blankets!
I do stuff animals
In the spring I make tank tops and short sleeve sweaters but last year I started making dresses and skirts so that was a fun change of pace and wardrobe expansion.
I’ve been crocheting spring tops, bucket hats, shawls, ponchos, and handbags for spring and summer. I love the switch from heavier hats and cowls to lighter spring/summer items!
I love the color shifts that come with the change of seasons in the northern part of USA and all of my makes whether it be knitted, crocheted, paper crafted, or painted usually reflect the color palette of that season. I also prefer to transition to projects made from lighter weight yarns in the spring. I often have a couple projects going at the same time – one larger piece (lately it’s been baby blankets) that stays in the house. I also have smaller projects like scarves that I keep in a small tote to grab and work on whenever I’m traveling, or waiting for appointments or visiting with family/friends.
Spring is the time to finish up winter projects that I may or may not have procrastinated finishing! This is the season for weaving in loose ends!!
I would love to win a beautiful collection as this. I crochet blankets, shawls and am looking to crochet my first sweater. This year I have crocheted a few blankets including the Breast Cancer Awareness blanket I am currently working on for my best friend who is a survivor. I would love to add these colors to a beautiful project like that.
So many ideas, so little time! I just started on a shawl, and hoping to start on a cardigan to go with spring and summer tops. I always like to have a small project going too, maybe some socks to keep things interesting?
Spring knitting for me is lace shawls and market bags!
It depends on my mood! Right now I’m making a scarf, but gloves are a good spring project too (to save for later or use for chilly office spaces!)
Usually whatever I didn’t finish in the winter!
Thank you for this amazing giveaway chance! The photo IS GORGEOUS!!!!
In the spring, I like to work on shawls and tees!! Something lighter to wear and carry in a project bag!
I’ve read a Young Adults version of Endurance with both of my children when they were young! Amazing
story and journey!
Hi Chandi: Springtime is a time to inventory all my WIP’s & needles and either “Finish, Frog, Fix or Fling”. Summertime I make my wool socks for winter use and gifts.
This spring, I am teaching my oldest 2 daughters how to make a blanket. They were gifted some yarn from their grandmother, and so they are wanting to make a “lapghan” from the yarn. I also plan to crochet a shawl from some lovely EFA yarn I just treated myself to!
I might be inspired to use a different color palate but overall my knitting doesn’t change between seasons. Anything child-sized (hats, sweaters, rompers, etc) and the occasional shawl.
I don’t really switch up my knitting depending on season, but just knit whatever I want.
Since I’m a new crocheter I’m not sure, but my plan is to make winter projects for next winter this spring/summer, then do spring/ summer projects next winter to stay ahead of the of the game. I must say you are the most inspirational person I know. Your yarns and patterns are my gold standard, so beautiful. I can see crochet as an artist might see it with your help.
My knitting preferences are always whatever strikes my fancy at the time! From socks to hats to swanchos . . . I’ll see a new cute pattern and decide I need to make that!
I am inspired by you in so many ways! I love the quotes you post, the way you share your life view. And, of course, the gorgeous yarn! I knit shawls, hats, and scarves. just holding the yarn brings joy! This yarn giveaway is over-the-top beautiful! Thank you for all the beautiful things you send out into the world.
Thank you so much for this giveaway – especially in my birthday month! ❤️ In the spring I love knitting my winter sweaters and then putting them away – it’s like receiving a gift from myself when it’s time to wear them
I’m almost always crocheting or knitting birthday presents for family members — I have a lot of sisters, sisters-in-law, and nieces — so that keeps me pretty busy. It’s not quite warm enough that I want to crochet light linen items yet, so I’m still doing fingerless gloves, cowls, and beanies.
(Not entering, some of the colours just aren’t my jam, and I have no one else to knit/crochet for!)
Mine doesn’t change with the season. I make shawls mostly, because they’re fun and easy and pretty. Occasionally I’ll make blankets. Working on a few of those now since I’m trying to get rid of my junky craft store yarn since I’ve started using good quality stuff and just can’t stand the look/feel of the other any longer.
WOW !! What a gorgeous selection for Spring. What will you make with these beautiful colors?
I don’t tend to work on any specific things depending on season, because I have such a long list of projects to work on! 🙂 I just keep plugging away at my list. I always sort of intend to work seasonally, but it rarely works out that way.
I love to knit sweaters but this spring I’ll try my hand at knitting a dress, should be exciting.
Hi Chandi !
I love to crochet tops and tees in spring and always beach bags.
Thanks for the chance
Love
Gaby
Spring is for finishing those larger WIPs before it gets to hot!
I will be knitting a light blue cotton linen sleeveless top next.
Right now I am making a baby afghan due the end of the month. Next project is a spring sweater for me!
I normally just make blankets all year round, but I am learning amigurumi and have “adopted” a kindergarten class to gift small animals throughout the year, so this Spring I am working on bunnies and lambs for them to have before Easter.
I am loving the spring colors you chose for this giveaway! Makes me want to knit or crochet some home decor to brighten up the home for a spring awakening! Maybe knit a summer top??
Great selection as always. Got my fingers crossed. Thank you Chandi for sharing your talents with us.
I choose to work on whatever I feel like at any given time throughout the year, which usually means that I have several knitting projects (all very different) going at the same time in varying stages of completion. This might drive some people crazy, but it allows me to choose what I can handle on any given day since I have a chronic pain condition (Fibromyalgia).
It always seams like I’m finishing my winter projects in the spring, and finishing my spring projects in the winter 😂
I love to knit shawls year ‘round
My knitting fears are gone since I’ve been enjoying your Friday free patterns thank you for sharing all your knowledge with us. And for all your smiles
I’ve been crocheting more lately. I don’t really change projects based on weather. I’ll typically find a pattern or idea and go with it.
I love making stoles and scarves. Usually knitting, but this year I’m enjoying crochet a lot more. I’m also working on some baby blankets for two of my friends.
Absolutely beautiful! Thanks for the chance.
Sue
Whatever makes me happy! 🙂 This year it’s a lovely crocheted circle shawl
I crochet year round for a local charity that donates to interfaith ministries. We do lots of hats and scarves for local families in need. I change it up with afghans. Right now I have 3 afghans going and your 2023 crochet along. Just about to start clue 3. I look forward to these. Thet are my splurge on myself!
In the Spring I tend to gravitate towards baby items, something about new life coming about always makes me want to churn out cute little things. But I’m trying to also make more warm-weather garments for myself!
Usually I knit/crochet the new Christmas things starting in the spring. Mostly toys for the little ones. This spring is my first time crocheting garments.
I love your yarns!
Hi Chandi and everyone. I would normally focus on lighter, more colorful spring garments and projects but, this year I find myself catching up on some cozy shawls and cowls that I didn’t have time to do during the winter. I am itching for some spring flavored projects, though! I love bright, warm yarn that explodes with potential and opportunity.
Hi Chandi, Tim & the EFA team! Wow what absolutely gorgeous yarns in this month’s giveaway! Hmmm what do I like to knit in the spring? EVERYTHING!!!! (Especially socks)
I always have at least a couple pairs of socks on the go.
I like to knit bright colors! It can be tees, shells or a vest.
In the spring I like to start my summer project. I never really make anything for myself but I love making things for my daughters and niece. I crochet and will be make a lot of crop-tops, shorts, cover-ups and skirts.
Spring colors are great for light airy spring shawls.
What beautiful colors. so much challenge -What to make next!! I knit all the time mostly sweaters, shawls, premie sweaters for the hospital right now.
Spring has me preparing to make summer tops and tanks.
I’m currently crocheting 🧶 a Sampler Poncho to learn stitches and have been looking at lighter weight cowls and wraps to work on in the spring.
I don’t knit by season. Instead I follow new designs by my favorite designers and I follow yarn by my favorite designers and let those guide me toward my next knitting project. I am retired so I have lots of time for knitting.
It honestly changes but this year I’m knitting some socks and a shawl 🙂
In the spring I continue to crochet prayer shawls for a church ministry. This spring, I’ve started crocheting earrings to give to friends, people in church and to the students in a fitness class I teach. I am also looking at patterns for light weight crochet tops for the summer. I always wait for late fall to begin crocheting afghans and throws.
This Spring I am working on a shawl. I may try to knit a stuffed animal for one of my grandkids for Easter.
I always just make what the mood strikes.
Whatever fancy strikes! No matter what happens, it will be a combo of knitting and crocheting – I love them both!
Hi! I jus follow my finishknitting list. I have like 8 projects in WIP so, I just try to finish whatever I have going on. Only in the fall I stop what i’m doing to knit my Christmas gifts.
I knit and crochet all year long, a variety of things, from Amigurumi to blankets. Thankyou for doing all you do for the creative community. I love your yarns and patterns, thankyou for this opportunity to win such a fabulous beautiful collection of yarn. Good luck everyone and congratulations to this months winner Evelyn.🤗
Beautiful photos of beautiful yarn. You want to reach through the screen, gather it up and squish it!
Good day! Thank you for being a bright, encouraging soul! As the weather warms, I tend to crochet sun hats, berets, bucket hats; grow my inventory of baby shower gifts; and plan for winter gift giving.
I love to make shawls in the spring. Beautiful spring-y colors to go with all of the flowers coming up are my favorite!
Such glorious colours. In Spring, I think of knitting light weight items, a vest, sleeveless pullovers or a shawl perhaps in nice bright colours to signify the changing seasons and new beginnings.
I don’t have many Springs under my belt, so I’ve been working mostly with worsted weight yarns. I’ll be working with lighter weight yarns & natural fibers such as cotton, bamboo & linen for the warmer weather to come! Thanks for the opportunity to win your gorgeous yarns!
I knit doll sweaters for adult collectors year round.
Normally I focus on lighter tops and tanks. This year though it’s all baby stuff.
What beautiful yarn. My crocheting does not change by seasons. Shawls are my favourite with scarves cowls and hats
I continue whatever project still needs to be finished. Most take me a year or two, since I like sweaters. Simple cowls are a “quick project” and can take several months.
I don’t usually work on anything specific, but I am starting The Classic sweater soon. I bought some of your gorgeous lace and fingering yarn for it. I am so excited!
I regularly find myself doing baby blankets in the spring. This year, I may have more time to knit/crochet than usual. I tore my ACL, MCL, and Meniscus last weekend, so I’ll be doing lots of k/c crafting during recovery!
I love to crochet light shawls and summer accessories, including table ware [table runners and placemats] for spring and summer 🙂
I plan on finishing a crochet lace shawl and knitting my first sweater.
I tend to get into more lacy/mesh shawls/scarves when it’s spring before I dive back into sweaters during the summer in preparation for winter.
I don’t really change my crafting by season. I did just get commissioned to help a friend make 500 amigurumi potatoes, though, so I’ll be doing that for the foreseeable future.
I love crocheting and my knitting skills are currently at “I can knit a dishcloth” level. I don’t have particular projects, whatever I feel like or if I have a request then I’ll work on that. Currently I am crocheting blankets and hats for Project Robby, a non profit for angel babies.
Side note, I love all the yarn I’ve bought from you. I call them my squishies hehe
I pretty much only knit sweaters now. But maybe some lighter weight ones for spring.
The only thing I am doing different for spring, is the color selection I’m working with. I donate all of my items, and it’ll be nice for the recipients to receive something that brightens their day & help them welcome spring!!! 🌷 Normally I work with colors that are warm and cozy, and I feel the need for a change!! Of course you always have gorgeous colors, that’s a given. This months selection are just what I needed to see today!! You’ve inspired me!! Speaking of inspiration……Please tell Tim I love his photos. His work always impresses me, and if you happen to read this…..please share that with him!!!
Thank you so much for your inspirations to be creative!!! My Dad is an artist: a painter; and your colors remind me of his work! I am thinking about how to make a textile version of one of his paintings…..
Congratulations to Evelyn Sargent!!!! I wish you much fulfillment and joy with your work!!!!
Late winter, springtime seem to be taken up with UFOs. Those pesky projects left to wither whilst the holiday knitting took over. It will all get finished, but sometimes one project, or another, takes a bit longer.
In the Spring, I knit what I knit all year: mittens & hats for charity, a modular blanket, gifts for friends and family.
I’m still knitting blanket squares. So many to do. For spring I’m wanting to mKe cotton vests
and there’s always a sock on the needles.
I am planning a lovely shawl with neon colors for my daughter. Haven’t found just the right pattern, so am adapting one. Wish me luck!
I finish up my current WIPs, then take time to knit up as many Knitted Knockers (free breast prosthetics for women who have had mastectomies) as I can.
I don’t have any specific projects that I do during spring. It’s normally a little harder for me to knit because both of my kids birthdays are here and it Ferris like there’s a lot going on at once.
Hello 🙋🏼♀️💐what beautiful colours! This Spring I will be crocheting stuffed toys for my 5 grand nieces and nephew all 5 years and under. Happy crafting 💐💕
I crochet lighter items in the spring, such as lacy shawls and lacy hats as well as fingerless mitts. I also crochet plush toys for my Grandkids in the spring and summer.
…I’m always working on 3-5 projects, so I don’t tend to tailor my projects to the season. Although in spring I always do want to have socks on my needles just because they are so light and easy and surprise warm days don’t end up feeling too hot with a blanket on my lap. That said, the blanket I’m working on is lovely as winter seems to want to keep sticking around into spring this year!!
I’ll be making sweaters for my daughter
These would make BEAUTIFUL shawls
I’m going to attempt some socks with colorwork.
Surprisingly, I’m not a seasonal knitter, so even though it’s nearly Spring, I’m working on a pretty lace winter hat.
I’m still working on sweaters! Usually it’s quite warm here by mid-March but this year it’s still very cold for us.
I love to crochet anything with lightweight and bright yarn.
Currently working on a sweater. Love how it is coming together.
My knitting is not driven by the seasons. It is more about color and what appeals to me at the moment. I do knit a lot more during the winter as I cannot spend time in my garden. As the weather gets warmer and I am working outside more hours of the day my knitting time changes but I still always have something on my needles. I love working with yarn and creating beautiful fabrics with my knitting.
Usually, I’m crocheting about 10 different projects 🙂 blankets, sweaters, hats, scarves, etc. I love it all!!
Blankets, Slippers, Toys, anything that tugs at my crocheting hook!
lace weight shawls are fun to knit in spring!
Oh my goodness, these colors are so beautiful. In truth I love almost everything your team creates. My spring knitting/crocheting varies – this spring I am determine to start my first sweater. It feels like a perfect challenge for 2023. 🙂
I still love a shawl, spring, summer, fall, or winter! Lacey or chunky, small or sprawling, I basically have a shawl on my needles at all times.
I crochet whatever takes my fancy and is supported by my checkbook.
Hmmm…I guess my knitting doesn’t really change. I just knit whatever tickles my fancy. Though, I suppose, I REALLY should branch out and attempt my first top. I’ve been meaning to try a couple of the cute tops I’ve seen, but I have to do math to make them in a bigger size and..ugh…math! I still haven’t managed to knit anything for myself in 11 years, so…maybe I WILL knit a top soon.
Spring project on the needles now is a blush pink baby blanket for a dear friend who’s expecting. Typically, I just knit what I like or need, regardless of season, but I do have a colorful spring shawl in progress now that I should be able to finish and wear soon!
Normally, I knit scarves during the spring, but this year I want to challenge myself and knit/crochet a shawl! The patterns on Expression Fiber Arts’ YouTube channel are simply gorgeous!!! A shawl this spring would be a wonderful birthday gift to myself! 🙂
Just like the ladies above, I crochet anything that catches my I. I really like to crochet items inspired by the coral reefs. Your yarns make quite colorful sea life! I also create crocheted jewelry.
Again, the colors of yarns that you stock works up beautifully! Thanks for that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am enchanted by all the yarn I see posted here. Busy with a crochet bear to be sent to Australia for a new grandson. Then on to finish socks for winter. After that, …. But I know I’ll be happy making whatever it is.
My projects rarely change, a mix of shawls, sweaters and baby blankets. I have to admit though… I have well over 30 WIPs / UFOs. Creative person with ADD problems 😀
ALL your yarns are so beautiful and inspiring that winning ANY ONE of them would be a delight and treasure! Flattery? Manipulation? Yes and no !! OK, I think we’re clear on that. So, actually, the season itself doesn’t really have a lot of influence over what I make. I live in Texas and blankets or sweaters in summer or tank tops in winter…it’s all the same to me. Knitting them, crocheting them…I sometimes enjoy a project in both crafts at the same time. Just keep bringing on all the inspiration! <3
Congratulation to Evelyn!
Another gorgeous giveaway, I love to knit your Hadi tee and Poncho shawl, but still looking for the yarns.
I always have many project on the go. Currently making a sweater for my four-month old granddaughter. Oversize sweaters personalized with name on the front are very popular here right now. Knitting a cardigan for a 7 year old and a summer dress too!
I neglected to say in my post: ladies and men.
I hope that I didn’t offend anyone! : )
I’m usually finishing off jumpers I started to make for myself in autumn but get out to one side for items family ask me to make, mostly for Christmas. I also knit/crochet lightweight shawls for colder spring and summer nights.
What an absolutely beautiful spring yarn giveaway you have curated Chandi! Pretty colors of spring blossom and Robin’s egg blue and speckled bird eggs. Be still my beating heart! 💕. Spring finds me currently knitting the Anuket shawl and I hope to get started soon on a summer tee or lightweight cardigan.
I tend not to change my crafting for the season, though I tend to go with smaller projects in the summer.
I don’t knit seasonally but I do knit every day. Mostly shawls, cowls and fingerless mitts.
I follow you all the time.
My SIL is from North Pole, AK!
I make whatever…I don’t really craft by the season. The yarn is lovely!
I’m currently finishing up the 2022 hearth side MCAL and I’m excited to start the 2023 Multivalence MCAL!
Generally, im almost always knitting/crocheting for gifting. So its always a toss up as to what im working on.
I love to knit! I am currently trying to add a few shawls to my handknits. I am partial to sweaters with a fun knit pattern highlight in the spring and summer.
I don’t know that it’s particularly a change for spring, but I’ve been quite focused on sweater knitting and crocheting recently, so I’m ready to move to some smaller items for a bit just to feel more “completion satisfaction.” The projects lately have been very time intensive, but full of learning, so I think I’ll be working on small projects that allow me to learn new techniques for a bit.
I love the color photos of your yarns – the settings for many of them that you create inspire awe and joy. I love just looking at the photos, even as I enjoy working with the amazing yarns you create. Thank you for all you do!
I have recently picked up crocheting after many years. I am enjoying it and now have the time since I am no longer working outside of the home. Loving it.
I knit all year long and choose projects based on the yarn that inspires me. Spring projects tend to be brighter and lighter. I love the colors you create with your yarns and love the inspiration photos!!
Hi Chandi,
I have to say hat’s off to Tim because these photos really are stunning. Love the blue bottles.
This time of year my thought’s turn to making something for my little granddaughter’s birthday which is in August. You might laugh but I am a very slow knitter.
Much affection, Alison
Looking forward to crocheting some new wraps and lightweight cardigans – still pretty chilly up here in Ottawa, Canada so spring is a LONG way off yet! 🙂
I knit or crochet anything at any time! But, mostly whatever is next on my list of what folks have asked me to make for them.
Oh my, I see ashamed for daughter #1, hand warmers for daughter #2. So many beautiful skiens.
Darn fingers A SHAWL not ashamed. Gracious.
I don’t so much change what I knit, as what I knit with. I move from wools/cashmere to cotton, linen, silk, hemp, bamboo fibers. I’m always mixing it up between small and large projects.
My favorite item to crochet is a sweater! Although, I just got a 24″ rigid needle loom to expand my horizon!
I make the same things year round, mostly shawls and scarves with the occassional cardi or afghan. In warmer weather I am more likely to use cotton, linen or silk, and in cooler, wools.
I am just getting back into knitting after a 4 year hiatus following my last baby. We are expecting again, and I’d like to try actually making some baby things, as well as a shawl or two that could be nursing coverups and make me feel pretty amid all the changing sizes. The colors in this Spring giveaway are so lovely!
I’ve recently found a new favourite Japanese restaurant. The food is incredible, but I’m completely inspired by the beautiful ceramic cups my tea arrives in. The colours are all found in nature: cream, summer-burnt grass, sky blue, sage green, dried calendula, and indigo, to name a few. I knit and crochet, sometimes on the same piece. I’m working on two pillow cover designs to start with: one with stripes and one with stripes and dots.
Spring brings hopes for a new t-shirt, perhaps with a fancy yoke, knit in a sport weight yarn. I’ve got my eye on one already!
I’m usually working on a blanket/afghan pretty much year round. Currently working on a blanket for my new grandson!
I have been stocking up on crochet patterns that I just adore, and I’m looking forward to making several cozy shawls for summer nights here when the temps dip down to a bit chilly. Or maybe something fancy to wear out on date night.
I’m planning on catching up on the MCAL’s I’m currently working on or wish to start……that is after I finish the shawl I’m now working on……other than that no special seasonal projects.
Wow, what a super giveaway!
I crochet a lot of afghans and donate them. So fun to work different patters and different types of yarn.
My spring knitting includes shawls with fingering weight yarn & socks (always socks).
This Spring I plan to knit a top.
Happy Women’s Day everyone💃! Congrats to the February winner: Evelyn🥳! I live in the tropics so I will be crocheting Tops/Tees/Ponchos! 🧶🏝
My knitting definitely isn’t seasonal- depends on my mood! 🤣
I like to make new things so this spring I am making parasols, in all kinds of spring color’s.
Spring time is when I like to knit small projects like socks. My knitting time is less when the weather turns warmer and the garden needs some attention.
I knit sweaters & socks all year long…I love to knit!!! And I love to wear knitted things…I’m not so fond of the “finishing”, but I love to see how things turn out when I knit them…I have 1 project on needles currently…I, for some odd reason, like to do complex projects…I absolutely love different yarns, usually the more expensive they are the better I like them!!! And I absolutely love the colors of yarns!!!
Lots of babies expected in my husband’s family this summer so I’m making baby blankets.
I usually knit shawls in spring, but am finally branching out and trying a short sleeve sweater with colorwork. Challenging to get the tension right, but rewarding! I love the Perseverance MKAL I completed last year with EFA’s squishy goodness!
This is the time of year I become a shawl knitting crazy woman! Light colors grab my fancy after so many months of grey bleakness and there are so many patterns to chose from! And here in the northeast, a little covering is still welcome even on warmer nights.
I usually just continue on with whatever is going on. I do have a large wool sweater that I’d love to finish up before it gets too hot to work on it, though.
I tend to just change the colours I use usually very similar to what you have got in this giveaway with a bit of purple added in. But I just pick what ever pattern is speaking to me at the time. Last year I was working on several blankets while the year before was jumpers and some tops. I do want to try socks this year though.
This yarn would be a fantastic way to celebrate turning 40 this month 😁
This spring I want to finish a top I’ve started, my first actual garment. Also a dress for my daughter and if that turns out as cute as I think it will, one for me. Also have a smaller version of Wonder on the hook in primary colors. I normally do shawls and wraps/beach cover ups. I like the look and drape of knit better than crochet, I just don’t knit as well or quickly.
I love to make shawls, cowl, hats and blankets! And I LOVE to look and touch my yarn.lol
I don’t change things up in any season. I just crochet what ever I feel like whenever.
This spring brings 4 new baby blankets on the docket! Two boys and two girls, all due on July, so I need to get busy!
Whatever I feel like knitting, as preparation for the next autumn.
This is a gorgeous spring palette! I’d crochet a beautiful spring shawl and wear this garden of beauty. In spring I am crocheting with vivid, spring and summer flower colors in mind.
For this spring and summer I am crocheting a white lightweight cardigan to put on over a dress when needed.
I like to catch up on any project for any season 🙂 Get ready for Christmas! Also make shirt sleeve sweaters/rompers for my daughter! I love your yarn and your uplifting emails, thank you so much! 💕
Good afternoon, I crochet, macrame, needle felt and some painting. I don’t really follow the seasons. Since I do this daily I always have stuff for all seasons. I just do what comes to mind at the moment. It’s the most relaxing thing for me and I’m so happy I got into this two years ago. I’ve done some of your tutorials and they are just beautiful. You are so talented. Thanks so much for sharing your talent.
I knit smaller projects in the warmer months to avoid the extra warmth laying on me, so it’s socks, hats, and mittens.
I am planning a shawl featuring butterflies. It is my own design. Bright happy yellow with blue accents.
I’m knitting some realistic bunnies for Spring, as well as crocheting a lovely shawl and crocheting some baby animals!
I was thinking about knitting or crocheting a shrug for my daughter for Easter. I might even crochet some Easter “baskets” for my kids. Maybe a flower or butterfly to make a pin. Maybe a hat for each of the kids.
Hi Chandi – Right now I’m making your Climbing Rose Shawl but I’m doing it in 2-tone. The “trellis” and border are a darker shade from the background color. Thank goodness for your chart as it makes it much easier to visualize when I need to change colors. It’s tricky to do it this way and I wouldn’t recommend making it in 2-tone for a beginner knitter, but I love a good challenge! And thanks for such beautiful colors in this month’s giveaway – the winner will be one very lucky crafter for sure!!
Wow! The colors are amazing this month! Congratulations to Evelyn on winning last month!
I tend to crochet shawls, scarfs, wraps, hats, and baby afghans/blankets all year long. Usually I have one baby afghan and one smaller project going in a bag nearby at all times. I like to make baby blankets and hats to donate to area hospitals and cancer centers as well as keep a stockpile of baby blankets on hand for all the baby showers we get invited to throughout the year.
Beautiful Springtime colors in your generous Giveaway! Thanks, Chandi. I’m going to be knitting some beaded lace shawls, but also gloves. I recently tried your Briarpatch mitts and will make more of them. It’s a great pattern. I may get around to your Ondinea shawl too, as I have the yarn you used in my stash, just waiting for me.
Hope you enjoy the Spring!
I like to crochet doilies around this time
I’ve only been knitting about a year, so mostly knit socks. I’m currently working on a small lap blanket for in the car, 12 stitch Feather & Fan pattern on 300 stitches with scrap yarn magic knot ball.
I would love to make a tunic and some slim scarfs, but I have about four other projects to finish first 🙂
I knit whatever my heart desires or something for someone I love. I usually have a pair of socks on the needles, a lap blanket for my dog, and another project I really want to focus on and maybe learn some things on. One of my goals this year is to learn to knit cardigans – I love wearing lightweight knits and spring seems like the perfect time to learn this <3
I love crocheting all and everything but in the spring, I love to crochet light weight shawls and wraps, Amigurumi animals, and kitchen accessories.
I am craocheting spring shawls for upcoming birthday gifts, and winter blankets to be donated to our local shelter in November.
I don’t knit by season. I just knit whatever I want based on what yarn is in my stash.
I mostly crochet blankets, shawls and scarves. I love making something special for a new baby or for family and friends. My knitting skills are very basic but I’ve been trying to teach myself through trial and error and with video tutorials. Being left handed can be a challenge when reading patterns but I’ve adapted fairly well over the years.
I’m not knitting at the moment. I’m busy making quilts for grandkids. They have outgrown their baby quilts and need big kid quilts! I’ll return to knitting in a few months.
This spring I want to start early on some tees for the summer!
Spring is for a lacy shawl I think! Maybe one for my ‘girlfriend-in law’ 🙂
Never stop knitting! Always something fun to knit and play with color.
I love to knit shawls and cowls all year round. In the spring and summer, I make them in cotton.
As it is so cold at the moment I’m back to crocheting blankets and knitting more scarves! Have a beautiful day.
The warmer months in the MidSouth were about 11 months long, before this past very long, very cold winter. And so, my knitting habits don’t change project-wise. I still knit and crochet whatever appeals to me. I just make sure to have a fan blowing, and the AC running!
It takes me like six months to finish a sweater, so every spring I start a fall sweater or two! This year I’m also working on a crocheted beach bag for summer… and really wanting to make some pretty spring shawl-scarves.
When i am knitting or even crocheting i think of the person who I am doing this for and what the season is. Christmas is usually hats and blankets. In the summer i do summer tops made from cotton and something lightweight. When the spring comes I like to knit lightweight jumpers or tops which can carry on to the summer. Even cardigans for the cooler nights
I’m not sure what I’m working on this spring! I don’t currently have a project; I’m waiting for something to catch my eye.
I tend to stick to shawls and jewelry mostly in the spring
I love making amigurumi and wearables for my kids. Thank you for the chance to win and try some gorgeous yarn!
the colors are beautiful.. I’m 70+ and have been knitting and or other fiber arts since I was about 5 years old. I like knitting from simple garter to complicated lace. I think socks may be my favorites. I like the way the twists, turns , increases and decreases magically turn into a perfectly fitted sock. But I don’t think there is anything I haven’t tried to knit over all these years. Would love to win!
Spring cleaning! Spring is a good time to clean out my wips, (finish or frog) take stock of what’s in my stash and look at what I want to crochet next. 🙂
A TEE, FOR TEA ON A PICNIC
Those colors are beautiful! 😍 love to knit with spring colors for spring 🪷🌼🌸🌺🪻🌷
I make what I feel at the time. I’m currently making items for my home. I also make items to give to friends.
I end to work on small projects year round as I don’t have the patience to knit large projects. currently have a cowl, shawl and hat on the needles.
I like knitting shawls all year round, but especially in the Springtime. Sometimes I combine knitting and crochet. I knit a basic shawl shape and then use that as a canvas, crocheting embellishment with different yarns into/onto the knitting. Fun! My daughter and grand-daughter love what I make for them, as do friends. One favorite shawl pattern is Veera Valimaki’s “Secret of Change,” which I have made so many times (over 50) that I’ve kind of lost count! It lends itself to almost any weight or type of yarn, including EFA’s!
I don’t change up what I knit or crochet based on seasons, I just work on whatever strikes my fancy or whatever I have a request for……I would absolutely love to win this batch of gorgeous yarns. The possibilities are endless for creating beautiful items. Thank you so much to you and your team for the gorgeous yarns and patterns that you keep coming up with.
I love making light wraps and amigurumi in the spring. There is always the inevitable late toque (winter hat) as well – the one I meant to do before winter was over.
I am a new knitter so the projects I currently choose do not depend on the season. I look for patterns that allow me to become more confident in what I do know and also allow me to learn something new!
I knit whatever captures my heart at that minute. Always a sweater, blanket, and sock on the needles … along with many new castons and finishes. I knit for my mood … not the season.
My knitting doesn’t really change with the seasons. Although I will be knitting a bunny rabbit for my youngest granddaughter, once I finish the hat I’m knitting for my other granddaughter.
I lean towards knitting or crocheting tank tops and shawls in the spring. Sweaters and blankets remind to much of our horrible winters here in Michigan.
Hahaha, I generally don’t change for the seasons, because it usually takes me a while to finish things (because I start a lot of things). I have blankets and shawls on the needles for this season so far xD
Normally I like to make lighter, lacy knits in the spring. That said, I usually misjudge the time that it takes for me to complete sweaters. This spring, I’m planning to cast on a thick, wooly, colourwork sweater, allowing myself the grace of a realistic timeline to complete it by the fall. Immediate gratification for a slow, process knit?
I don’t change projects by the season. I always have socks on the needle. I like to knit sweaters and shawls also.
Baby sweaters and blankets this Spring.
Spring time always gets me in the mood for fun, colorful socks! Nothing like walking around with spring in your step & on your ffet!
I’m definitely going to crochet that Sugar Blush Shawl! Seems like a perfect wrap for spring and summer!
I am currently working on My secret little crop top with some cotton yarn. I’m making a few adjustments to make it a cute little tank top. After I finish with that, I plan to CO your lovely Shifting Sands pattern to wear as a cover up for when we go to the beach this summer! I’ve never added beads to my knitting before so this will be a new adventure for me!
I’ll crochet anything at any time, even if I can’t wear it for three quarters of a year! it’s all about inspiration from the pattern and the color/texture of the yarn. I do admit, I try not to be “inspired” to do a blanket in the middle of summer!
I love to crochet blankets in the winter but smaller projects like hats, scarves, table runners / doilies… in the warmer months.
In the past I feel like I have tended to knit shawls and socks in the spring. This spring I have about 4-5 spring/summer tops I am hoping to knit up. I am very excited to get them started!
I wasn’t able to crochet much in 2022 due to some vexing health issues. I am better now and back to crocheting a little more each day. This beautiful yarn would go a long way to help me make up for lost time.
Usally in spring I finish to knit winter projects and start to kint some summer shawl or crochet a bag or two
What a gorgeous giveaway! I’m knitting socks for my granddaughter, a shawl for my sister and a sweater for myself.
I’m just finishing a blanket, so I think I’m going to have a break from a big project and do lots of small projects like socks and washcloths.
My projects don’t really change seasonally.
This spring it’s BABY BLANKETS ! Seems everyone in the family is having a baby!
Gorgeous colours! In my part of the world we are heading into autumn – looking forward to the cooler weather. As for knitting and crochet, I have no preference. I have a few projects on the go, so I pick and choose what I feel like working on at the time. Sometimes means it takes a while before something is finished, though! Especially as I also like to have my nose in a book, and I do cross-stitch as well.
I love making gifts for others with a sweater thrown in there for me every once in a while.
I love using light colors in the spring and crocheting animals and lightweight shawls. The beautiful colors of spring are so fun to include in projects!
This spring I plan to knit a trio of lovelies: short, lacey socks; a lace shawl and a light weight lap blanket. Your colors and photos are a gift with every email I open. Thank you for all the love and uplifting messages!
I crochet a lot of cardigans and sleeveless dresses for my four girls. And now I have a wee grand-daughter for who I shall crochet tiny frocks.
I love to knit or crochet lightweight shawls in spring. Next project will be Tubacake!
What an assortment of beauties you have put together! I knit and crochet whatever takes my fancy; I don’t worry about the seasons. I have a lovely assortment of EFA yarns to make some shawls. I have a tunic I’m crocheting for my granddaughter in the works.
Since I’m multicraftual, I tend to just start whatever grabs me at the time. It usually ends up in multiple UFO’s, but .
My knitting doesn’t really change with the seasons. I knit, hats, scarves and blankets.
I knit about the same stuff all year round. I don’t really knit specific things during a specific season.
I make summer hats! And recently flower pins. during the spring time. Scrunchies too. I crochet.
I only knit a little now as I have arthritis but I want to knit a doggy sweater for my friend’s pup, Loyd.
I do change my knitting with the seasons. In spring I like to knit shawlettes or lacy scarves in bright colors!
Always knitting socks, my carry around project. Spring, maybe a summery sweater, shawl or baby items.
My knitting doesn’t really change with the seasons… I might queue up a short sleeve sweater, but not necessarily..
I don’t have anything specific that I make in the Spring. Congrats to Evelyn.
I tend toward lighter-weight projects in spring, like shawls and such.
I usually knit or crochet whatever strikes my fancy, no matter the season. Great yarn giveaway again! Thanks, Chandi!
I have 4 beloved children born in the Spring and now 3 beautiful grand -daughters (and one more on the way) I knit socks and sweaters for my son and daughters and now baby blankets, little sweaters, dresses and ballet shrugs. Grateful to God❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I usually knit shawls, tops, and cardigans, all year long, though I’m somewhat more likely to use a cotton or bamboo yarn in the spring and summer (wool and alpaca in the winter). I am doing something new this year, a year-long project (large shawl or small blanket) with colors determined by the day’s high temperature (and stitch pattern changing to indicate the month).
I taper off on my yarn work in the Spring and Summer to spend more time in the garden. I do little projects now.
In the spring and summer, I tend to stay away from heavy winter items, such as blankets and sweaters, but everything else is fair game. I’ll focus on shawls (those are year-round), bags (love to crochet bags!) and jewelry (necklaces, bracelets and earrings). I also plan on crocheting a couple of summer tops this year. I’ll also gravitate towards lighter yarns. I particularly enjoy crocheting with cotton yarn.
I like to knit light and airy things in the spring. Lacey shawls and dollies if I want something small to work on.
I don’t really switch to different types of projects for the season, so beanies, socks and shawls mostly….though, I’m working on a pair of gloves now too.
I knit hats year around. They are one of my favorite things to knit. Though in the spring i shift from beanies to keep you warm to statement hats like tams and cloches.
I love to crochet! I crochet whatever I feel like & when I feel like it. I crochet everything from doilies to tablecloths, from afghans to shawls, even an occasional sweater. I only with I had more time for my projects!
I recently learned how to crochet sweaters, so still enjoying that but I think socks are next on the list!
This year my goal is to knit a pastel or bright spring colored shawl.
This year my goal is to knit a “spring” shawl -pastel or bright colors. 🙂
I’m not at a point in my knitting where I do seasonal projects yet. Maybe some year in the future I will be. Currently have tons of items planned. Lots of them are shawls. On my needles now: Anuket shawl. 🙂
I am knitting a shawl for the cooler evenings.
I pretty much knit anything year round. Right now on the needles I have a shawl almost done, two socks, a wrap, and a little baby for a gift. I just finished a hat and cowl, and will be working on a child’s sweater soon.
Spring is time to knit light fingering or lace weight shawls. I want to make some short sleeved summer tops.
I love a good lacy shawl or sunhat!
My favorite spring projects are smaller and lighter than winter ones – socks, light tops, market bags, etc.
I knit and crochet and do any project(s) that suit me that day. Lots of Wips always here
I usually knit or crochet shawls or different kinds of tops.
I enjoy crocheting lighter weight projects like shawls and wraps in the spring.
I am still working on along winter cardigan/summercoat in light icy colours. Will make a skirt for spring, a shawl/wrap, and a large mandala. and hopefully some more skirts. Oh, and a short cardigan to match an earlier ,ade skirt.
I will still be knitting sweaters, shawls, and hats this spring and summer, along with summer summer tops. These include knits for myself and my girls.
I pretty much knit the same stuff all year long as I live in south Florida. Shawls and socks.
I love to make light shawls and cover ups during spring and summer
Afghans to give during the holidays.
It is Autumn here in Australia> I have just finished a sweater and am about to start a shawl. I love to knit and crochet all year round, in the spring I start on sleeveless tops.
As soon as I finish my daughter’s sweater, it is time to make a sweater for myself.
I’m making my first sweater!
Spring sees me switching from blankets that keep me warm as I craft the winter darkness away to easy to take with me projects like socks and tees, maybe a sweater or two.
Spring isn’t very warm where I live, so I knit pretty much the same things I do in autumn and winter: blankets, afghans, scarves, shawls, hats, wraps. Once summer arrives, then I switch to socks, string bags, fingerless mitts, and other small items.
I knit anything , nothing in particular, just whatever I’m in the mood for.
I usually crochet or knit whatever captures my heart at the time, which is usually tied to the upcoming season.
Hi, my first name is Paula but my friends and family use my middle name, Andrea. Just because when I originally registered I used Andrea but the giveaway asks for first name. Sorry for the long story. I learned to knit and crochet from my grandmother. Growing up I learned a lot of stitches but never how to make something. Now with the availability of video tutorials (don’t know how to read patterns) I’ve made my son a pillow and I’m working on a blanket for him. I’m working on a summer top for me and plan on making some more blankets and shawls. This is a beautiful craft and it relaxes me and helps with my anxiety. I feel like a little bit of me goes into every stitch. Thank you for sharing all your inspiration.
Like many, I don’t have specific things I start to knit in the spring. It’s usually whatever is on my needles that needs to be finished or whatever is next I’m my queue.
I’m currently finishing up a crochet blanket. I have a scarf I want to make. I love how beautiful all your yarn giveaway pictures have been this year!!! And the yarn looks beautiful.
I usually knit what I feel like any time of the year!!!
This spring I am loving sock knitting!
I am looking forward to knitting some lightweight cardigans and get a head start on dresses for my girls this fall.
jusr sox, now. after 75 years or so of knitting, have to take it easy.
Last couple of years, Spring knitting seems to be all baby … seems everyone I know is expanding their families.
Finish project on hand. Sweaters, afghans.
I crochet whatever I find challenging at the moment. I don’t find projects based on the season, with the exception of the grandkids’ birthdays.
I am so obsessed with knitting the time of year rarely changes what item I knit. I can say though I do make the occasional lighter short sleeved sweater in summer but only just occasionally because I’m too obsessed not to just knit all kinds of things all the time.
It’s baby season! I have four blankets to get cracking on in light-weight, washable yarns before they arrive in June, July, and August.
This spring I am working on a sweater for myself! Have spent a months working on things for others. Now it’s my turn!
Hi Chandi, I would like to try a shawl this year . I see yours and am blown away. I am still a relative newbie but I try to bring a little love into every thing I crochet. I also what to learn to knit this year because as much as I love crochet there are things I want to try to knit. I think I’ve become addicted to all things fiber. I really want to tell you how much I look forward to anything you post. Your inspirational quotes have helped some bad days turn around for me and I must thank you from my heart. You are truly a most unique individual and I’m so glad to have found you. I am your biggest fan. Have a wonderful week I’ll be watching for your posts.
I am attempting a pair of vanilla socks. It’s my first pair of socks. Usually I just knit scarves. Learning curve.
I like making light shawls and shirts in the spring. But this year, I’ll add a cardigan to the list. So many projects and so little time.
I go with what moves me to knit or crochet at the time, though I would switch to summer-friendly fibres like cotton and finer weights like light fingering.
Thanks for the great yarn and patterns
I love knitting blankets
Hi Chandi,
In the spring I like to knit light tops and cotton t-shirts. Oh, and complete the crocheted afghans I started in the winter but couldn’t finish because I kept getting distracted by new sweater patterns. 😊
Marjorie
Beautiful yarns!!!!
I usually knit blankets but this year I’ll be knitting summer tops!!!
Summer tops!! I am planning for a “me-made”summer wardrobe.
Seasons don’t matter. I just knit whatever strikes my fancy. Always prayer shawls though. My church gives out 50-60 Shawls every year.
I like to make lightweight items. I’m hoping to make the Drift cardigan this year!
I also make crochet Easter eggs this time of year 🙂
Hi there! I just bought your yarn and oh my god it is just wonderful! I like to do mosaic knitting, shawls, sweaters and baby blankets for my three grandkids. Thank you for making such beautiful and squishy yarns. Oh by the way the colors are amazing!!!
I work on all sorts of things during the spring. We tend to keep the temperature about the same inside year-round, though.
Continuing with wips and keeping up with your mcal.
I like to knit shawls with a lot of texture or gradients. Bright colors look so lovely in the sunlight.
The pictures are beautiful!! This will be my first spring crocheting so I’m not sure what I’m going to do 😁 maybe some lighter tops or some sweater vests for the chilly days.
Anything that catches my eye! Beautiful array of yarns this month!
I love to use the beautiful flower colors in the spring – working with Waterlily Pearlescent fingering today.
Knitting socks and a sweater right now. I love your colors!
Congratulations Evelyn Sargent! My knitting doesn’t really change by season. It seems like I am knitting Christmas stockings all the time, when I do have a break I like knitting shawls.
I love to make shawls of all types, baby blankets and now I’m getting into sweaters! My current projects are a baby blanket for my niece and and a carrot Easter basket for my nephew.
In the spring I like to crochet whatever. I like doing floral-related patterns. I made my mom a spring gnome which she enjoyed, and I made a flower pillow case 🙂
I’m very much a summer knitter – little tops are my go-to.
It seems that I am trying in the Spring to finish up the stuff I wanted to make in the Winter!! OY! Tooooo many WIPs!!!! 😀
Hi Chandi! This spring I am crocheting a summer top for me.
In spring I usually finish what I have started in the autumn 🙂 I try to finish all projects that I have with heavier yarn, because in the summer I like to work with lighter yarn (because of the heat).
I’m finishing off a few things at the mo, a light weight blanket and a couple of jumpers, but I really want to start the Silva shawl now! Been wanting to do it for a while so might just go ahead 😉😊
My knitting changes with my mood. So for spring I think light and airy, with flowery colors. This spring I am a little behind so I have some hats to knock out too!
Usually, I try to start knitting lighter items- short sleeved cotton tops or tanks. I live in Florida, and it gets quite hot early here. Knitting or crocheting blankets or sweaters is too hot in the spring and summer months.
Such beautiful yarn! I usually knit Lacey scarves. Right now I am crocheting one.
I like to crochet/knit summer tops in the spring. I love seeing the seasonal yarn choices available. The peach and blue in the giveaway are gorgeous.
I like to knit anything, any time! I really want to start on a poncho once I get through a few WIPS.
I like to start new projects in the Spring with hopes of finishing them by the summer. Short-sleeved tops or small pieces like socks are my go-to. I like to use a lightweight cotton or cotton blend yarns because I live in SC so it’s hard to knit with wool as the weather warms.
I like making toys. But my mood changes all the time. 😁
I usually start to crochet table cloths or smaller projects like shawls and other table toppers…. easier to put down when the Sun calls me to the Garden! Have a great Spring ALL!
In the spring I love to make shawlets. Cowls
What a fabulous giveaway! I crochet lighter weight items in the spring. I am currently working on 3 of the 2023 MCAL (Christmas presents) an amigurumi turtle, and a blanket for my mom’s Christmas present. So much fun!
I don’t t really knit or crochet differently in the spring. Come summer I will sometimes use lighter weight yarns to work on shawls.
Anything and everything. Love your patterns.
Hello everybody, greetings from Poland 😀 I’m a crotcheting and knitting fan. I’m knitting a sweater for my teenage daughter now and I’m going to knit shifting sands from Expression Fiber Arts. I can’t wait, I like it so much 😀
I crochet and knit whatever in the spring. Socks, blankets, sweaters, hats, amigurumi, baskets, etc. the seasons don’t impact what I crochet and knit.
I love colorful spring tank tops and light weight sweaters
Beautiful yarns! I knit or crochet (depends on the design) mostly hats and shawls.
Hi Chandi I love your philosophy to inspire people in each episode and your bubbly attitude. Spring knitting will be the same as usual for me. I knit beanies, socks and blankets for our very community who rely on these contributions. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to experience your yarns which we can’t all afford to buy. Love and light.
In the spring I love to knit baby blankets and stuffie toys!
I am on a mosaic blanket kick at the moment. You can create pretty much anything your heart desires and not have to worry if it wil fit!
I am stuck on making hats lately but if I see a pattern I love then I squirrel and start that project
It depends on the year; sometimes I knit little bits of seasonal nonsense–Peeps, egg covers, ect, and sometimes I just carry on making whatever is making me happiest! In this case I’m working to finish a sweater for when it gets cold again.
I seem to knit shawls, socks, and garments year-round, the only element that changes might be color accents. I do not have a seasonal wardrobe to rotate through as I’m way too lazy to manage all of that, but I really admire those people who can and do!
I like to crochet sun hats and beach bags in the spring, gearing up for summertime 🙂
Going into Autumn/Fall now in South Africa, so I am looking at starting a pullover, my first one! In Spring I usually work on crochet cotton items like scarves or facecloths.
Mostly socks like usual… but I often pick brighter colours.
right now i am on a washcloth kick, with lots of springy colors!
Hi Chandi, I usually don’t work on projects based on the seasons. But I do change out my yarns when the warmer weather starts, so that I don’t have to deal with super warm wool when it’s already too hot 😀
I knit whatever pattern looks fun at the time, though in spring I may be more likely to avoid heavier yarns. 🙂
Working on a beach cover up right now and then will be moving on to making a huge beach bag for the family trips to the beach this summer.
Chandi,
I live in SW Florida, so air conditioning almost all year round let’s me work on any season.
I think I’m “gift driven”! LOL
Waiting now for the birth of my great-niece, due on St Patrick’s Day, so I’m finishing up a baby afghan.
Thanks for sponsoring this giveaway.
Wishing you and All a lovely day!
No matter the season I love knitting and crocheting shawls
Hi Chandi,
I enjoy working on shawls and ankle socks and summer tops.
I’m working on some Amigurumi for Easter for my grands!
I like to knit anything and everything but equally as happy to just look at and squish any lovely yarn – makes me happy. I am waiting for the right time to make a purchase here. I see sooo many lovely yarns so thinking about which one. darn budgets 🙂
Hi Everyone especially Chandi & Pam. I’m a disaster. I have projects part done lying all around that I have not been able to keep track of over the years. When I saw Expression Fiber Arts Mulberry Silk I got super excited and went haywire. I’m still in that stage. Past projects were: [Knitting: Cotton baby socks, baby blanket, hat that went down to my shoulders] [Crocheting: Baby blanket-1/2 done-C2C, Market Bag-3/4 done, baby socks with crocodile stitch – one bigger than the other, I presented this to a young mother for her essential oil aromatherapy cache] [Tunisian Crochet: Completed coaster-one edge went every which way] Oh Yes. I’m ready for more. I have a half finished rug which is absolutely gorgeous. Lost the pattern so it’s in storage. Chandi’s (1) Boho textured Travel Shawl in All Seasons Green (2) Orchard Shawl in Darkest Night (3) Flower Inspired Shawl in “Plumeria” are just a few in my long list of projects. By the time I decide on a project & the yarn, Chandi has a new project & lots of new yarns. I’m in a loop here. The energy and excitement of Chandi is infectious. Thank you.
I am currently working on “Concatenation” shawl, that I got here, your instruction video and written instructions are easy to follow, almost done. Knitting is growing on me.
I crochet amigurumi animals for birthday presents.
I’m working on the MKAL and when I’m done with clue 3 it will be on to teddy bear baby hats and mitts!
I enjoy knitting gifts which include hats, cowls, scarves, blankets, and shawls. I haven’t graduated to sweaters yet.
I crochet or use a loom. I mostly do baby blankets and something I made up called a hug blanket.
I wish I could use more of your beautiful yarn but I’m allergic to wool 🙁
You spread so much light and joy to the world! Thank you for that!
Springtime usually means looking at portable projects and blankets. Right now, I’m knitting a winter sweater for my son. Since it is aran wt. it is progressing quickly, so I’m looking at patterns for what is next. I want to start some socks, a piecework tunisian crochet blanket, and maybe a fingering or sport wt. top.
Baby blankets!
I knit and crochet shawls and blankets year-round, for my church’s prayer shawl ministry, and hats and scarves for Knitters for Peace.
Hello you lovely people! I hope you’re having an incredible day❤️ I don’t really knit one thing or another during different seasons. If I love the pattern and it’s been on my mind I make it happen! If that means it’s a big bulky, cozy sweater that I have to wait on, then it’s all that much more exciting when the cold weather gets here!
Hi Chandi, I love all the colors schemes you make. I usually continue making the granny squares and catching up on any cals i am behind on during the spring and summer.
En general me gusta tejer para otros, mis prendas favoritas son chales, mantas y bolsas. No voy con el tejido de temporada, es decir en invierno ya estoy tejiendo para verano y viceversa
I like to knit or crochet tees or lacy scarves. This year I’m working on 3 Pride scarves.
I don’t really change my type of knitting. If I feel like knitting a sweater in the summer time, I will still do it.
Thank you sooo much for this awesome contest 🙂
I don’t have a particular item I like to crochet in the spring. However, with these beautiful yarn colors I would like to try a nice light sweater or a shawl.
Just learning to knit socks so I have one on the go now. Would have knitted a baby blanket for a gift by my Feb ended up being so chaotic with a sick daughter that it didn’t even get started yet.
I love working in fingering & dk weight yarns, so for Spring that’s mostly tees and neckerchiefs.
Projects I crochet in the spring? I start my year of gift making in mid march, Easter blankets for babies, summer shawls, birthday goodies for family etc.. Until Mid summer when I start Christmas ideas all the while making this and that for friends who don’t have the time of patience to crochet themselves. It’s my relaxing me thing.
Hi , I love to crochet. I started with baby booties. However, now I like to crochet small summer jackets, ladies tops and skirts. I like pastel and sorbet colours mostly. I really would like to know what ply I should choose to get a beautiful ‘drape ” effect with my crochet. I mainly like to use a 3.00 or 3.50 crochet needle. Thank you – Cheryl
I like to knit shawls and summer sweaters!!
I like to make fall and winter things in the spring and summer, and lightweight things in fall and winter so that they’ll be ready for the next season. I really loved making the Satis shawl, and I’ve have lots of compliments on it.
Whichever pattern catches my attention. Currently, its a CAL afghan.
lol I knit whatever project I was supposed to have done in the winter and still haven’t finished. I’m always a good two months behind
In the spring, I make the same things as any other time of the year. I make hats, wraps, baskets, toys, etc.
Sometimes I use a lighter weight yarn in warm months, but not always. As long as the project is small, the heat doesn’t affect my choice of what to make.
Sometimes I’ll make items intended for fulling (felting) in cooler months, and then full them in the warmer months so they dry faster.
I’m working on a new-to-me type of project: a TUNISIAN crochet blanket for an Animal Rescue charity auction. I had no tunisian crochet hooks with cords (nor the $$ to buy such an unexpected expense), never have done any tunisian, had to buy new tools, take some how-to classes, and pray I get this challenge completed successfully. Having my grandbabies full time (ages 1 and 3) has limited my crochet time immensely. I could use your prayers to help me get this exciting project finished in order to be a blessing for the cause. Thank you for your exciting giveaway. P.S. I look forward to the fun names you call us in every newsletter.
love making dresses!
Springtime is sock time for my knitting needles!
Chandi & Tim, Absolute Gorgeous Yarn & Amazing photography!! What a team!! I don’t do seasons. I crochet whatever I’m in the mood for, usually have 2-3 projects on my hook. Currently dish towel, potholder set, tote bag, scarf & scrunchies. I am very inspired by you Chandi & I’m learning to knit beyond a basic garter stitch scarf. All thanks to your awesome teaching videos.
I’m currently working on a super crop mesh pulover for my sister
This Spring I’ll be knitting up a shawl and some socks – outside when it warms up! I can’t wait to get started.
I have a couple of blankets planned, and hoping to start the MCAL as soon as I finish up a circle blanket I started a couple of weeks ago.
your yarn is so beautiful! I want to work with lace weight yarn this spring/summer and am looking for ideas to try!
I generally just knit and crochet whatever strikes my fancy, if that is the current “it” pattern, then that is what I do, if it is something I have had in my queu for awhile then that’s what I do, lol. I just make what I like when I like usually. I love how you did the photography shoot this month, really gorgeous!! Have a great day Chandi! and everyone!
I’m not a “seasonal” yarn worker at all. I knit or crochet whatever patterns I like or I need to start as a gift. Most of the time, I’m just trying to finish projects I started the previous year.
P.S. I absolutely LOVE Tim’s photos!! Just exquisite!
I don’t change my knitting-crocheting as the seasons changes, I usually only do smaller projects though. I am currently playing about with a round knitting machine. This is a freaking amazing giveaway, thank you for the opportunity.
I don’t tend to craft seasonally. I just make things as needed for Birthdays/Christmas/Special Occasions and in between or when travelling/waiting for appointments etc. I crochet little gifts for leaving around for others to find.
Love your generous heart! Since finding EFA I’ve been knitting scarves and shawls. Your yarns are the most luxurious, squishiest, beautiful… have a marvelous day!
I usually start crocheting Easter stuff this time of year. Right now I’m making an amigurumi bunny but I’m also making dishcloths.
Beautiful yarn! I’m working on my first knitted sweater this spring. And clue 3 for the mkal and mcal!
I like to make Amigurumi in the spring for my children’s Easter basket and also shawls.
I love making shawls, blankets/afghans, dishcloths/washcloths, and dish/tea towels. I enjoy your blog and videos. They leave me feeling better especially if I have been having trouble finding the right pattern for the color I am working with. I hand knit, machine knit, crochet, sew, a little of everything. Thanks again for all you do. May happy blessings continue!
I crochet and just love trying new challenges. I go through phases of Amigurimi, shawls, kids clothes (rarely adults), mosaic crochet, lace and anythibg that catches my fancy when trawling through the sites and newsletters deom crochet masters! BUT I always have at least two blankets on the go – my rule is no more than three WIP’s at any one time and I mostly stick to it. This spring I joined Multivalence and through this found the pattern for hearthside which I am working on now – its a faboulous patters and I’m sorry I missed the CAL last year.
We’ve usually a surprisingly chilly spring, so I’m typically still knitting warm hats & maybe slightly lighter cowls & shawls.💗
I knit and crochet depending on the project and how my old hands are feeling at the time my favorite things to knit are socks, sweater, hats gloves, blankets and your MKALs my favorite things to crochet are blankets, hats and your MCALs
I think mainly socks and shawls but anything goes. 😉
Normally in the spring I am finishing up blankets or hats. Although this year I might be working on a few of the new patterns that you have posted with your beautiful yarn. I love watching your tutorials/project videos because your voice is so soothing and it helps to take away the stress of trying a new pattern that might just be above my comfort level.
I’m fairly new to crochet but I’m hoping to make some cute tank tops and light shawls for spring/summer. I’m still kinda slow at crochet though lol
I love to crochet boho, flowy things in the spring. Those colors…OMG! The bright blue is stunning and that peachy one..LOVE! My birthday is next month so I’m REALLY keeping my fingers crossed for this one. Absolutely beautiful colors!
Hi Chandi:
I see all these beautful colors and I Shawls, Tee Shirts and Sweaters. The colors are so beautiful.
Thanks for all you do to make the world a beautiful place.
Spring knitting for me is the same as the rest of the year, as I knit for the enjoyment of knitting. I have normally got socks, a shawl, a large garment and a hat on the needles and a crochet blanket / afghan.
Happy knitting!
I’m still new enough to crochet that I don’t plan by the seasons yet, but I have been working on a shawl with a lightweight yarn so I guess that counts. I also have some pretty flower-colored yarns planned for dish/wash cloths. As always, those are such beautiful colors for the giveaway!
I usually crochet for others so it could be a shawl or a lightweight blanket. The things I make doesn’t change, its the type of yarn I use that change.
Usually I just crochet whatever interests me but this year I definitely plan to make some spring tops and a cardigan to wear since I still get pretty chilly early in the year.
The only thing I try not to work on in the warmer months are afghans. Just too heavy on the body as it builds. Otherwise, I’ll work on just about anything else. Cheers from FL😺
I always love to knit and crochet shawls. I always have one major project on my needles and hook and then afew wips for in-between times.
I knit shawls and summer tops.
I don’t change my projects due to seasons…I just work on what interests me!!! Love your yarn!! Thank you for what you do…
Hey there I want to knit a small cardigan, something airy for the warm season.
I don’t really have any specific types of projects that I knit or crochet during the spring. It depends on where my curiosity brings me.
I knit and crochet blankets, shawls, scarves and beanies. We are in autumn now in Australia, so working on some beanies for the homeless. I look forward to your lovely emails
Just wanted to start with a HUGE Thank You for the opportunity to win such a generous amount of lovely yarn!
I personally love to crochet large projects like shawls, tops and sweaters. Shawls are definitely a spring favorite for me.
Thanks again Chandi and good luck to everyone!
You’re so welcome! 💕
Shawls!!!
I like to make Easter items, brightly colored things, or doilies.
I usually don’t change up the types of things I crochet. I really just go by finding a pattern or yarn I like and then decide on whichever (pattern or yarn) goes with my first choice.
Hi Chandi, I look at the yarns and drool over them. But very expensive for me to buy. So hoping that I win this month. Have drafted quite a few of my own designs. It would be a great pleasure to make them with yarn from your ste.
I seem to always be knitting blankets no matter the season, but this spring I have plans to knit my daughter a dress.
My knitting doesn’t change — it’s whatever shawl, gift, or whatever needs to be finished!
What a gorgeous and generous giveaway! I am still working on a blanket I’ve started a while ago, but my next project will be some colorful Easter themed coasters. Thank you so much!
I knit shawls all year. Love it with beautiful drapey yarns
I’m working on the Journey shawl right now. So close to finishing it too!!!
Oh, my….these are so lovely…I would love to win. I’ve been knitting wraps and shawls lately, diving into yarn weights and patterns I would never have tried before. I’ve used some of the free patterns and have purchased some, but the yarn is expensive. I love looking at everything you have.
I’m working on some headbands and then starting my next blanket. I love to make blankets and afghans mostly and the seasons don’t matter. Would so love to win because I love your yarns!
I hook shawls, I love to watch them morph into something beautiful. I spend most of my time at home so they all go to my sister and a few friends. Luckily they ar going to people who love them. I do keep a few that I just can’t part with.
I generally knit whatever catches my interest. I have a few projects going currently.
I haven’t really taken seasons into consideration when making a project, I’m a butterfly who flutters between several projects
I have not been crocheting or knitting long, but my favorite thing to wear is tank tops, and I have plenty planned to knit or crochet!
Summer cardigans and tank tops!
I usually make baby items to donate, but I’m beginning to crochet more for myself and family lately. This Spring I’d like to crochet a wrap and light top for myself. I’ve used store-bought yarns like Truboo and cotton/acrylic blends, but never splurged on hand-dyed natural fiber blends. Your yarns are stunning! I’m excited to take my work to the next level!
I’d like to thank you for the inspiration for knitting and crocheting you bring through your Youtube videos. I love them very much.
I’m very new to this art, and still learning. I crochet and knit scarfs, beanies and want to learn to make sweaters too.
Love.
My knitting doesn’t really change with the seasons. About the only change would be if I was working on a blanket. That certainly would not be a spring and summer project.
I haven’t had the chance to crochet in a while, but I want to try my hand at making a hoodie this spring.
Thanks a lot for your generosity with the giveaway! I would love love love to win!
In spring time I love to knit Tshirts and this year I want to knit a dress.
I am usually doing a few gifts for our kids’ teachers for end-of-year, otherwise it is just down the list of standing projects.
I am knitting blankets for flood victims in Hawkes Bay New Zealand. I have been organizing friends to knit peggy squares. I have crocheted two of Janie Crowfoots beautiful blankets.
I don’t really have a preference from one season to the next, whatever inspires me at the moment.
When its getting warmer i tend to change to Something light and not so woolly.
I crochet more in spring. Amigurumis and doll clothes and rugs.
Hello from Southwest Finland 🤗
Hi Chandi,
I have plans this spring/summer to start crocheting the crossaster pattern with 100% cotton. I love the pattern. I hope to see more crochet patterns.
With love,
Kathy
I’m usually finishing up works in progress. I have 2 shawls I’ve been slowly making. I’d also like to make an amigurami nativity set. If I start this spring, perhaps I’ll finish in time.
Such gorgeous colors! I’m just getting back into knitting – would love to make a nice light top this spring that I will be able to wear this summer. Now the hardest part – actually choosing yarn and pattern!
Right now I have 2 shawls in progress, but I really want to do something lightweight and lacy – I’m thinking maybe a poncho! And more socks – I need to make more socks!!
I’m determined to finish my Montastraea top so I can wear it this spring!
I love your yarns and patterns. As I live for from Florida I have to substituce yarn in your patterns. So it doesn’t work the best all the time. So, I have a blanket/vest instead of Ciottolo. Now I have two Creeries on my needles, Tubucake hexagons, and a long list to do 😁
Always shawls!!,
Hi! What a gorgeous giveaway! I’m a crocheter for about 40 years and never have not crocheted this type of very nice yarn! I love to crochet hats, tops, and lace pullovers. Sometimes I try something new, for example, the last December I crocheted a cat cave and a hanging ornament in January. Now I am going to crochet a vest and have some projects in progress.
Lovely colors for spring and summer! I love knitting shawls, and blankets, but I think I would like to try a lightweight top in a cotton or cotton blend. It’s time I get practical!!!
Learning how to make ponchos and shawls this spring.
Hi Chandi,
What I like to crochet in the Summer, are light and airy wraps in a cotton blend. I’m still teaching myself to knit in between all of my crochet projects…😉
Thank you for the chance to win such a gorgeous collection of yarny goodness…💕
I’m still working on finishing some promised Christmas gifts, and looking ahead to gifts for this year 🙂
In Spring I like to make Summer tops, In the Summer, I start making Christmas and Winter items. Other than those seasons, I make patterns I like.
For spring, I love making things for my Grandkids and other loved ones to go into the next season. Especially with the Grandkids being in Florida for one more year.
In the spring I love to crochet summer dresses, light tops, skirts and swim suits. As well as anything fun themed.
In Spring I like knitting socks and lightweight tops for summer and early fall. Your yarns are perfect for those items!
What can I say, I’m absolutely loving your yarns and patterns, you come out with such amazing combinations
I knit & crochet all year long and as the days get warmer and longer I move to patterns with sport yarns, fingering, and bright colors combinations.
So it’s time for something complicated and colorful 🥰😂😉
Hi Chandi
What can I say 🥰 I am always amazed when you come out with a new yarn series, so unique
I knit/ crochet all year round, but now that spring is coming I like to move to projects with sport yarns, fingering weight yarns and bright colors!
What a beautiful spring collection 😍🌺💐 My knitting doesn’t really change with the seasons (though I try not to knit huge jumpers or blankets in summer!). I basically usually have a big &/or complex project to do at home, and and easier one to bring to knitting gathers. I just mostly wear knitted linen in the summer. 😉
Blouses and tops for summer, made of bamboo and cotton – they have to be OK for hot Portuguese weather!
I’m working on a blanket at the moment for a birthday gift and for a break from the same stiches I make some dishcloths always someone asking for them i do a lot of blankets. Got a shawl for myself about half done.
I am finding that I prefer light sweaters and accessories such as headbands and booties this spring. I knit primarily baby items so if it’s for a smaller baby it will need to be warm regardless of the season.
My knitting projects were always the same: to make a sweater for myself or to make a vest for myself or for my mom. Now it’s right time to try to make a blanket.
In spring I like to crochet small to medium home decor projects!
I am crocheting some new patterns for unique crop tops, tank tops and lacy shawls.
I find that the seasons don’t determine what I crochet. I make whatever is next on my list. As a new beginner to knitting, I’m going to be making a hat when I finish my current crochet project that’s a blanket.
Even though it gets hot as heck here in Texas, the weather doesn’t determine what I make. I make whatever I feel like making.
Beautiful yarns! I tend to crochet big cozy blankets in the cooler months and switch to cardigans and tops in lighter weight yarns when the weather gets warmer. 🥰
I’m working on a spring shawl and granny square vest.
I am just learning amigurumi and I am currently working on some baby blankets for two friends who are expecting this spring. I love making things for my granddaughter.
I’m working on a sweater and some socks.
Lighter garments. Shawls. Baby blankets
I’m not a fast knitter so I usually continue work on my winter project. When I want a break I knit swatches to learn new techniques. There’s always something new to learn.😊
I am working on a car seat blanket for my new grandson Fitz. All I can think about right now is making things for him! I usually just knit or crochet whatever tickles my fancy at the time.
I love reading your posts and seeing your beautiful yarn. I would love to knit or crochet things for Fitz with your yarn.
Hi my name is Chris.
I’m from Victoria in Australia. I’ve enjoyed four lots of your yarns, so far, my favourite was the last one I received, Moon Love, Bamboo, Alpaca fingering. I’ve nearly finished a really beautiful batwing sweater.
