I knit year-round. I always like to have a project on the go to keep my hands busy.
I knit or weave year round!
I love both, knitting and crocheting. My jam right now are cowls
I crochet.😊
Yay, it’s new giveaway day! I stitch all year round, but my knitting mojo has been in a slump since the middle of 2020. This year though, when those cool days started, I found myself pulling old WIPs out and really getting down to finishing some of them. I’d love to get my groove back and get some sweaters done for my kids by Christmas, so bring on the fall weather and knitting inspiration!
Yes! 🙌
Hi Chandi,
I knit year-round but definitely more during fall and winter. Was in a bit of a slump pre pandemic though🤔
Trying to get back in the swing of it since Feb or so! Have a number of your gorgeous patterns C/O
Hope to finish McFadden cardi soon!
Entered October’s yarn giveaway🧶Fingers crossed🤞
Thank you, and have a great Birthday month!

Hi, I only crochet. But around the fall time it is a lot more than earlier in the year. Because I’m making gifts for the holidays.
I LOVE all the oranges in this month’s giveaway. I try to make things all year round but when the air gets even a little cooler I get so excited to wear the things I’ve made.
Absolutely beautiful colors! I crochet year-round, it’s my go-to stress relief. However, I do find that I seek out more quiet crochet time, an ability to absorb the day, once autumn falls around.
Congratulations to you Katrina Holmes ! I love fall, absolutely knit and crochet more when it is cooler . I have three projects going right now (-;
I knit year-round….anytime I have some free time! It’s just so relaxing 😌
I haven’t learned how to knit just yet but I do try to crochet year round. Though I will admit to speeding up in the fall when I start to feel the temperature dropping.
I knit/crochet all year around. It’s my escape from stressful days at work. I enjoy your patterns because they are simplistic yet stunning and always have a new technique/stitch to teach me. I do also enjoy your tutorials they inspire me that I can do almost anything and just try. 💗🌻
I crochet year round! But mostly during summer because I’m making cardigans and scarves for fall/winter!
I crochet year around. I have depression and crocheting is the best therapy to help me stay focused.
I’ve definitely been knitting more this fall but really I knit to destress and detach from my phone. Something to do with my hands and engage my brain screen free
I crochet year-round… I make summer things in the summer, and I may not finish by fall; I start winter things in the fall and may not finish by spring; so I put them aside for new summer things; and the queue grows.
I’ve only started knitting this summer, so I can’t judge for sure yet, but I think I’ll be knitting year round.
Though I have notices that my queue is starting to get bigger projects, or ones that include thicker yarns – ones that will keep me warm as I work on them. 🙂
I knit year round. I’m retired so I am always looking for ways to keep my mind and hands busy. I generally finish one project or more a month but my stash wil long out-live me!
oh my!! These colors are stunning!!
I knit all year, doesn’t matter, i might just put the larger projects on my lap more…
1. “I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers” is one of my favorites.
2. I’ve been a year round knitter since I learned to knit during the summer 20 years ago. It’s almost necessary in the air conditioning.
I knit all year round!
Such beautiful fall colors you’ve chosen for Oct. Giveaway! I knit all year round but the yarn base changes as the weather changes. Cool cottons in summer and everything else the other seasons. Thank you for providing a wide range of yarn bases and the colors- love all your color ways- they’re always gorgeous!
Btw, happy birthday month, Chandi!
Thanks, Verna!
I crochet all year round, especially for my 3 children. Occasionally if I find a very special luxurious yarn I make something beautiful for myself.
These colours just call my name 🙂 I love all things autumn coloured, cozy and warm. I tend to knit and crochet more during the colder months and sew during the warmer seasons. The feeling of the yarn running through the fingers when it’s a bit chilly outside is just such a feel good sensation! Also a nice cuppa is always welcome in the colder months…
Also a happy birthday month o you Chandi 🙂
I just started knitting again this year after a 10 year hiatus…but I’ve been knitting every day even in the summer heat. I’ve fallen in love with knitting all over again. Happy Birthday Chandi.
Thank you!
I mainly crochet. I know how to knit a little, but I’m not very good at it. I crochet year round, but during the warmer months I make things like amigurumi. Once it gets on toward fall, I start working on toasty wearables. I love fall!
Wow, I’m in love with all of these! Honestly, one of the best parts of having a birthday in October is all of the Autumnal colours that start coming out around this time of year haha. By the way, happy birthday to you this month as well!
I definitely always have some project — knitting or crochet (or sewing!) — on the go all year round. But I do tend to save the really large, warm projects for the cooler months so that I don’t get too overheated with them laying on my lap 🙂
Happy Birthday to you!
I knit all year round! But try to knit heavy projects when its a bit cooler
By now its a commited hobby, but I used to knit only in winter. And finish my projects right when the weather turns too warm for them…
Hello Chandi! I’m new to knitting so it is hard to say… for now, I knit all the time! I love it! I love your yarn..
Happy Birthday month!
Thank you!
These colors do evoke the autumn spirit, wonderful job! Happy Birthday, Chandi!
Hi Chandi, and fellow fibre friends! I hope you are having a great birthday and feeling loved! You’ve outdone yourself with this month’s gorgeous giveaway. It makes me think of freshly raked leaves that I want to falllll into!
I always have a smaller, portable project on the go for summertime travel, but my bigger projects generally wait patiently until hockey season arrives 🏒 I get to hang out with my boys while they watch the games on tv, the wood stove crackling in the background. I can catch some of the action, and I enjoy my own thang all at the same time! Plus you can never have enough toques, mitts, or scarves when you’re at the rink at least 3 nights a week. Slap shots and slip stitches 🧵
I crochet pretty much year round, but seem to complete more projects when fall rolls around. Winter is coming, well as much as we get in CA. 😉
I knit year round …… smaller items like socks in the summer and then gradually getting to sweaters when the weather cools down.
Hi Chandi and Happy Birthday to you🥳🎂 Another stunning yarn collection which can be made into so many beautiful things😍 (visualizing them in my home) ….and the answer to your question is that I tend to crochet during the spring and summer months and knit during autimn and winter months. I believe it depends on the yarn since the yarn for crochet is much thinner for the projects I like to do. I easily sweat in my hands, especially from thicker yarns so they’re perfect to knit with during the cold months. Also I can’t think about warm sweaters, mittens and hats during hot summer days😅 So when autumn arrives it’s time to find my knitting needles and see wich patterns I can bring to life😊
I knit pretty much year round but tend to weave alot during Fall and Winter. I think because of the family coming together I start dreaming of place mats
napkins and table runners. I’m always looking for inspiration and love, love, love the pictures and yarn on the Expression Fiber Arts page. It just want to reach out and feel the YARNIE goodness!!
I normally crochet year round.
I definitely stitch year round. Whether it’s crochet or knitting, I have to do some stitching on a daily even if it’s just one or two rounds of a WIP.
I knit and crochet all year round. I belong to a charity group and we make hats, blankets, scarves, etc for different organizations.
I knit and crochet year round.
What beautiful colors! I mostly knit but crochet when the right pattern calls my name. I tend to stitch year round, knitting is my therapy.
I hope you had a wonderful birthday, Chandi!
Hello Chandi… Came across your company I Loved your message. and was truly inspired to try a more intricate piece. These colors are stunning! I find myself knitting year round when I find myself wanting to be quiet and in the moment. However Enjoy sitting outside in Autumn
whenever i find new pattern i save it and crochet or knit it
Congratulations to you Chandi and Katrina Holmes!!!!
What beautiful colors have you chosen for this month.
I knit , crochet, spin and weave all year round and use my spon wool for all my projects.
Every now and then I buy wool, especially the thicker wool, because I find it difficult to spin.
Enjoy each other and your wool!!!!!!
Hello to everyone,
I find I tend to knit / crochet more as it gets cooler. The summer months in Greece all you want to do is go to the beach!
Already started three projects !
Have a nice day
Happy Autumn! I knit year round but my projects get bigger as the days get colder, so I can use them to keep me warm! Lovely yarn as usual Chandi!
Absolutely regardless or I’d go bonkers from boredom! 😜
Same pace year-round.
Happy Birthday Chandi 🥳 and thank you for so generously sharing it with us!
I currently live in south Florida and can only say, thank goodness for Air Conditioning. I started crochetIng years ago but only recently got back into it. However, after binge watching your knitting tutorials on YouTube I’m just about ready to try my hand with one of your super easy beginners scarf patterns.
I live in Phoenix, AZ, so it’s a little more comfortable working with yarn in the fall and winter when it’s not in the 100’s, but I like to make things year round still!
Happy birthday Chandi! Thanks for this beautiful giveaway. I knit and crochet all year around. Watchting a movie\series my hands feel empty without a project.
Thank you!
I knit year around, always!!!! I have always many project in waiting so !!! There are so many beautifil pattern, tooo much perfect yarn so… I don’t have any choice in the matter.
I definitely knit more when the weather turns cooler… and am so happy that fall is here now! LOVE LOVE LOVE all of your colors!!
I crochet year-round, but I get more excited about my projects during early summer and the middle of winter.
I knit and crochet all the time, for relaxation. Crochet especially helps me to put my thoughts in order, one stitch at a time!
I am always knitting something. This was the year of sweater knitting for me. Goal set for at least one sweater per month. Excited to say that I have exceeded my own expectations. I have a beautiful Lovenote knitted in EFA pearlescent fingering in the confetti colorway and it’s amazing. Good luck to all and congrats Katrina. Happy knitting!!
That is fabulous! It is always nice to exceed ones expectations!
Oddly enough, I tend to knit more during the summer because school is out. Unfortunately, summer where I am is scorching and humid, but I make due. Fall is a blessing after months of heat, but I have less time to get cozy with yarn. Wishing you a happy (belated) birthday, Chandi!
I knit (or crochet) all year round! I always have a project or 5 (or more!) going… something super easy or more complex. Love making things!
I knit throughout the year. However, I get more excited about knitting, when the weather gets colder and I imagine wearing what I am knitting.
I crochet year round, gotta stay busy!
I knit all year round, mostly smaller things like socks in the warmer weather and love your sock yarns they are so soft and vibrant in color! Thank you for the beautiful yarns!
I knit and crochet all year round. It keeps my stress level down. My mom passed away in January, so I use yarn to help cope with her passing. Because of Covid, I didn’t get to say goodbye, which is very sad for me.
Crochet all year around. Always have a project or two to work on. Since I used your fabulous pearlescent yarn I always have on project using that yarn in particular. It seems that I can’t get enough of it, I’m in love with it.
Happy Birthday Chandi…
Oh how lovely are this colors…… I’m knitting all the year.
Does anyone else want to dive right into that pile of yarn? Wrap your arms around and squish? Sumptuous colors and textures. Happy 40th, Chandi! I have been crocheting for 40 years (my grandmother taught me how to do granny squares when I was 10 years old.) I taught both of my children, not even knowing what the individual stitches were called, as grandma simply showed me the “technique”, until these last long months with lockdowns and such… I learned to name and do so many stitches, and to read patterns! I taught myself mosaic and Tunisian crochet, and I am just learning knitting, which I struggle with, but am determined! I turned 50 last year… it just keeps getting better, Chandi.
Thank you! 😊 💕
I try to stich year round. I love making things. But I really love it when the cooler weather comes around, because then I can make the larger snugglier things like large blankets and sweaters.
I crochet all year; however I do seem to do more in the cooler months. Wishing I had more time, at any time of the year, to crochet! While I am mostly a blues/greens girl, at this time of year I am loving the autumn colors.
I tend to create year round. In addition to crocheting and knitting I also quilt and cross stitch. This year I fell back in love with crochet and actually completed a floral motif afghan in just two months. Plus, I’ve already started two more projects, until I found your free cardigan pattern today, so make that three more projects! Beautiful yarns and patterns on your site.
I knit/crochet all year round, but what I make more often changes with the season. I tend to crochet most at work, and then I do knit more at home in the winter, and I’ll switch to cross stitch at home in the summer. My son just turned two at the end of summer, and every winter so far I’ve knit or crocheted his winter hat, so I do need to get this years done soon.
First off… Happy Birthday Month to you and your husband! I knit year round, but I find myself wanting to do more in the Fall for gifts. I’m an adventurous beginner, and love learning new stitches and techniques.
Thank you! 😊
I knit and crochet all year round.
Hi Chandi! I continue to do all my fiber arts all year around but I totally get more of a pep in my step when it starts to get chilly. I love the fall colors this month and happy birthday month!
I have to have a project or two to work on year round whether it’s sewing or crocheting. I like to have something to keep my hands busy. Yes I’ve been known to sew a quilt top in the middle of summer or even crochet an afghan.
Hi Chandi – I learned to crochet when I was 14 but stopped after I got married, had kids and tried to juggle a very demanding job and family life. Now at 60, I recently rediscovered my love of crochet. I plan to crochet as much as possible this fall to make gifts for my family for Christmas, but there are so many wonderful new stitches and patterns I think I will be a year round crocheter! Happy birthday month to you!
Hi Chanti
I love your website. There is everything that I like: luxury yarn, patterns tutorials and more…
I started to knit when I was child probably 7 – 8 years old.I was fascinated by my grandma’s knitting. She was teaching me how to knit and I love it all the way in my life. Now I am 47. I am knitting all the year long beginning with socks, hats, jumpers, shawls. I have learned by your tutorials how to knit Fair Isle and I am going to make one of your patterns called “Mely” as soon as I will finish my last project on my needles.
Knitting is my obsession.
What can I say, I love it , I love it, I love it!
I have my dream in my head that one day I will have my own yarn shop and I will design and sell my own projects. I wish that dreams come true 🙂
Happy knitting
Renata from Finland
I knit and crochet all year with a goal of finishing at least one project per month!
I knit year-round every chance I get. I do admit though that I like Spring and Fall the most so I can sit outside and knit on the back porch. So soothing for the soul!
Oh no, I always feel like knitting, whether it be summer or winter, spring or fall!
I have been getting back into crochet since I left work upon the birth of my 3rd kid immediately followed by covid lockdowns. It’s been “me time” throughout the hustle and bustle of caring for my family.
My birthday month also, happy birthday to us! ; )
I think we have the best month to be born with all natures beautiful fall colors and the holidays to follow! LOVE IT!
We shine like your beautiful yarn.
Happy, happy Birthday!
I’m a new knitter, an ambitious beginner. Anxious to learn and seeing the gorgeous patterns and yarns that I want NOW. So the more I knit, the more I will learn, and hence be able to get through the projects and wish list dreams.
Knitting year round – of course!
I’m a year-round stitcher. Crochet is a stress reliever and a distraction technique I use to manage pain from an autoimmune disease, so it’s a pretty steady part of my life. I’ve been especially productive since the pandemic began, lol! I’ve recently found the EFA group on Ravelry, and I loved the summer CAL! Looking forward to the 21 day crochet challenge starting soon!
I crochet and knit year round
Hi Chanti, well I crochet year round, gets a bit hot in summer, I live in a desert. Still a beginner, but learning from my mistakes as I go along. Love the yarn in the give-away, would be awesome to win that 🙂
Dear Chandi,
I crochet all year but there is something special about crocheting when the weather is getting cooler and the days are getting shorter… I just love to snuggle up on something comfy and crochet while watching the fire or even just looking out the window or while listening to my favorite music or even if there is something mindless on the TV… It’s food for the soul and brings me added pleasure and delight to be crafting something with beautiful yarn for someone special… This month is like every months giveaway that I’ve seen a mountain of gorgeous yarn that is going to make someone’s year!!! Definitely a win of a lifetime to someone who totally geeks out on yarn!!! Thank you so much for the generosity you display in bringing someone an incredible amount of joy every month!!!
Hi Chandi!
I’m a knitter and I love to knit year round! I just started learning how to spin and I think I found a new love. Hopefully by this time next year we will have our own sheep so we can harvest our own wool!
That would be amazing!
Hi Chandi,
I crochet year round, but I tend to do it more in the months before Xmas holiday. And I just started to learn knitting, I hope I will be able to make one of your patterns soon 🙂
I love your beautiful yarns, and great patterns – it encourages me to learn knitting more and sooner, but I still need a lot of practice 🙂
Thank you for the lovely giveaway! I enjoy knitting or crocheting all year.
I knit year-round, definitely! Can’t just sit and watch TV with my hands unoccupied!
I start knitting a lot in this period, with autumnal fall leaves, tea and wkod fire! 😊
I knit or crochet just about every day, year round. It’s my way of relaxing.
I knit every day all year round!
I crochet year round and now that I’ve taught myself to knit, I trade off and do that now. I find it so relaxing and a great stress reliever. I love to learn new stitches and new patterns and try new techniques. I love to make homemade gifts for friends and family.
Unlike most I’m a lifelong bi-stitual kinda Queen, and I do it year round. Perhaps more so at the last quarter as I make ALL gifts 🎁 with yarn of course lol💗
Congratulations Katrina!
I learned how to crochet from my great-grandmother when I was around 10 and I love to crochet year round. The just sit, crochet, and watch my future crocheter play in the yard with the dog is so calming. Your color palettes inspire so many projects in my head that I often have 2 projects going at the same time lol. Thanks for the inspiration Chandi!
I knit and crochet all year round. I live in tropical north Queensland Australia and in Summer I run the air-conditioner and in the winter sit out side and work away at whatever I am doing. I have admired the rustic earth colours, (reds, rust, browns and sandy tan colours), and dream of having that beautiful yarn running through my fingers as I create shawls and things for my granddaughters.
