The thing I love most about yarn is that I can create beautiful works of art from raw materials. I love that you really can’t go wrong giving someone something that you created for them from the heart.
What I love most about working with yarn is the peace of mind it gives us.
The thing I love most about yarn is its amazing resilience. As you are knitting if you make a mistake and need to rip back the yarn lets you do so and still remains strong, soft, and warm. We should all be more like yarn.
So true… I love your comment! : )
I love the feeling of nice yarn (especially wool!) flowing through my fingers, and the comforting rhythm of the stitches moving over the needles.
Yarn is my version of comfort food. I love that out of my anxiety beautiful and useful items are created for my family and friends. Now that I’m an old fart, my kids are grown, I can afford a better quality of yarn and I look forward to my daily emails bringing me a vicarious yarn fix. I keep ordering more yarn, coming home from a couple of months work, and I have a yarn junkies version of heaven waiting for me to open. If that’s not enough anticipation, I hit the yarn isle at every Walmart we stop at and occasionally buy a project or two and that tides me over until I get home to my waiting packages.
The colours and the patterns and the textures. I like making stuff I want exactly how I want it to look
I enjoy watching the transformation from a pile of yarn to a beautiful useful and comfortable product. And the thoughtful time spent on the process is a nice change of pace from a busy life. What a gift that is!
Love to feel the warmpth and softness of the yarn as I work with it and watch it form its shape and color combinations as planned. Provides a feeling of satisfaction in creating something beautiful to share wirh others.
Another beautiful selection! Thank you Chandi!
A beautiful selection of colors … the project possibilities are endless 😍😍
I could knit all the things. Love this months colors.
I love you calmness that a soft and beautiful yarn gives me while knitting or crocheting.
I love the entire process of taking a raw fiber, preparing it for spinning, spinning it into any size yarn you want, dying and processing..all the while letting IT speak to me and tell me what it wants to be. Then, I get to create with needles or a hook, the destiny designed for and by the yarn. I feel blessed to have the opportunity to participate in this amazing process.
Very pretty colors this month again, Chandi. I especially like the different shades of greens and blues 💚💙 Lovely!
There are several things I love about working with yarn. The moment you open your new shipment of skeins, smell and squish it, makes my heart jump. But then when you decide on a project and start working it, it is exciting how a strand feels gliding through your fingers.
I’m amazed every time how different compositions and components can change the look, feel and behavior of yarn. Well, I could go on but I guess you get my point, I love everything about yarn, lol 😂
These colors are heavenly! What I like the most about working with yarn is feeling peaceful and excited at the same time ❤️
I have to say that I love your yarns! I visit your site at least twice a week to be inspired and to dream. I also love your positivity Chandi! You have helped me appreciate all that I have, to be grateful and not take it for granted. Thank you for that!
First off, congrats to Lady Lavender for winning the January giveaway! Know they’ll make something wonderful! I LOVE LOVE LOVE your site, since I found it, and am So excited to make my first purchase of your abso-lovely yarns! I recently downloaded your Seren pattern, and am planning out my project. Am pondering about combining it with your Enchanted cardigan to make something awesome!! I just love being able to take something so simple as a lovely yarn, and to create something else entirely with it! I’ve crocheted for years, but not well, but have started to work on improving and learning more. And am ready to take on knitting! I’ve started working on my knits and purls, with your enthusiastic tutorials, and am astounded at how easy it is, compared to how nervous I always was before about trying to learn😏 Anxiously await Fridays to see what gem you’ll be delivering that day!!
What i love about knitting, it takes away daily stress and turns into art. It reminds me of a dream catcher, every wrap it ties in the the negative and throws out warm positive love. When the work is done it shows that through every dark area in life there is always light.
What I love when I m working with yarn is that it make me feel calm and creative and forget about everything that concerns me! Thank you Chandi! You re an inspiration always!
The thing I like most about working with yarn is the relaxation and the joy of seeing how happy someone is when you give them your finished project.
What I love most about working with yarn is that you can be creative and not worry if you do something wrong! It is relaxing and fun! Also, please follow me on Instagram at handmade_by_karaw!
o my god! This selection is so gorgeous! I am captivated by the colors and already imagine what I could do with them if I had the chance to win them. I started knitting and crocheting this automn and I love both the reflection time (choosing the wools, the stitch, the pattern, etc.) and the realization time (the contact with the wool, the pleasure of seeing the work take shape, the form of meditation that this can be) and of course the moment when I can finally enjoy the achievements by wearing them. By the way, I finished last week a shawl based on your youtube video of the Seren model. The result is so beautiful ! Thank you !!! 🙂
I love the feeling of yarn between my fingers when I work with it. I used to embroider, but thread just isn’t the same.
What do I love most about working with yarn?
I love the colors, the texture, the way the yarn slides across my fingers.
I love the gentle clicking of the needles, the soothing rhythm.
I love the pure joy of creating something of beauty.
I love imagining how my family and friends will react when they receive a gift that I made especially for them.
I love believing that the hats or scarves or blankets or sweaters that I make will outlive me, and hope, in some small way, that I will be remembered.
This is so lovely.
I haven’t worked in a few years because of my health. Working with yarn relaxes me and I’m constantly learning something new even 6 years later! I look forward to to looking back and recalling what I’ve learned in 6 more years!
Wow, you just summed up exactly how I feel without having the words to do it.
Agree completely…that’s how I feel when I start creating with yarn. And with such lovely giveaways too
Oh my goodness, this monthly colours are definitely in my colour palette. They’re so lush!!! I’m new to knitting and falling hard in love with it and all the beautiful yarn variations out there.
Please let me win this!
I love playing with the yarn, feeling it in my hands, picking out new yarns to work with and thinking about what I can make it into. The yarn brings the promise of possibility and creativity with the end result of accomplishment and pride in a art piece you can canvase yourself.
I love the meditation, the challenge of creating something beautiful to enjoy and something to keep my hands busy. It engages a creative side to me. Also all the lovely colors and soft textures.
What I love most? How do I pick just one thing? I love the soft, squishy feel of yarn. I love seeing something beautiful come alive, created from something else that was beautiful in its own right. I love the zen feeling of stitch after stich, just being able to fall into the rhythm of it and letting stress melt away.
And in the end, I love having something to hold on to that I know I created, that I can use or gift as I choose. I love that using yarn doesn’t mean using it up–it means making it into something else just as wonderful.
The ancientness of the action itself. Knowing that knitting is old as time and that doing it connects us all the way back to our foreparents. I just love it.
I love all of the different colors and colorways that are out there. I also love learning something new and trying out new (easy to moderate patterns, for now)
I’m a very tactile person, so running squishy soft fibers through my fingers is so satisfying. I love running my hands over the work in progress to gauge softness, drape, and enjoy the texture of my stitches.
Can’t wait to get my cast off so i can pick up yarn again.
Water colors this month. So pretty.
THIS IS STUNNING!!!
I love taking a piece of string (essentially) and turning it into something that will keep someone warm, express my love for them and show that I’ve been thinking of them. It also lowers my heart rate and blood pressure. It keeps me calm. And it feels wonderful!
I love the act of creating something. When I make something and give it to someone else and see their smile it makes me feel accomplished.
Those colors are so beautiful! I love the thought of combining them into something beautiful.
Working with yarn keeps me sane.
So beautiful. I love the fabulous colour palette.
love the blues and greens, I am still learning and guess I will continue learning for the rest of my life! yarn skills help me to deal with my anxiety and stress
I crochet and I love how different all the stitches can look and just how much you can do with it!
What I love most about working with yarn is how it turns off all the outside distractions and let’s me be at total peace. I stop stressing about all of my problems and just concentrate on what I am doing. It also gives me such a feeling of accomplishment when I finish a project
I love the tranquility it brings. Unless I am cursing when I make errors. And even that is cathartic 😀
Being able to create beautiful pieces is a joy, but kicking it up a notch with Expression Fiber Arts yarns and patterns is amazing. Working with the yarn is heavenly!
Beautiful colors! What I love about yarn is that there are so many colors, textures and creative ideas! Love the feeling of accomplishment when I have a completed project. I am a new knitter with advanced dreams!!! But I keep at it and love the inspiration I get from you. Knitting has quickly become my “happy” place.
Love this month’s colors! Can almost feel them in my hands being made into something wonderful…
Knitting helps me connect to my women ancestors. I could see them knitting away in their spare time talking with others in their community while the children play nearby.
Wow! Love these colours! The things I love about working with yarn are the colours, the texture and the calm each stitch brings me!
Those are stunning!!
I love watching how the yarn transforms into a fabric…
I love making garments and the relaxation I get while knitting.
I love the satisfaction and sense of accomplishment when I finish making things. I live in the northeast too, and we get a lot of snow, so I love being able to make things for my son that will keep him warm and protect him during the cold weather.
Wow.. I really really love these colors!! I can already see me wearing a pretty cool shawl I made myself and making everybody jealous..
What I love most about working with yarn? It is so relaxing (except when working with black yarn in the evening) It really helps with my anxiety. And I can put all my creativity in crocheting and knitting (just started to learn how to knit). I wish everyone the best of luck with this give away, but I hope I am the luckiest myself this time 😘
I love creating something that will last forever.
I am a fashion design student and am trying to incorporate hand knitwear into my senior thesis! I love the freedom that comes with knitting and being able to express myself through the stitches I want to use and the ability to drape the outcome into different garments.
I love the relaxation of working with beautiful, squishy yarn!
I love knitting and this brand of yarn in particular is a pleasure to work with
I love working with yarn cause it’s a giant warm hug of love. You can create so many things that can bring joy to others.
I love the creativity in designing that yarn allows me to develop.
I love the feel of the yarn running through my fingers as whatever I am making is coming into being. Seeing and feeling something being made is such a wonderful feeling.
There is so much that I love most about working with yarn, from shopping for it, the feel of it, the smell, just seeing it makes me relax, feel joyful and exuberant all at the same time but I guess if I had to pick one thing it would be the peace of hearing the rhythmic clicking of my needles and the feel of the yarn going through my fingers (especially alpaca). I guess that’s more than one! Sorry! ❤️
The thing i love about yarn is creating something beautiful for others.
I love how it helps my anxiety and depression stay controlled.
What I love most about yarn is being able to turn skeins of beauty into a piece of art. And I love that I have plenty of it to get me through an unexpected quarantine. 🦠
Your yarn lifts my spirits every time I work with it!
I love being able to combine different colors or types of yarn into a special gift for someone. I’ve made a lot of birthday and retirement gifts for the people I work with over the years, and it’s always fun to pick out a new pattern and create something someone would enjoy and cherish out of some yarn and a stick (or two). It’s like magic!
Congrats to last months winner! What do I love most about working with yarn? It relaxes me, I work on advanced for me projects to force me to concentrate on the project so that I can’t stress over the work of the day/month/year/decade and it transforms my thoughts of aggravation and frustration into calming positive thoughts. Imagining the animals (I work with many breed fibers and blends) frolicking around the pastures and hills.. then I think of the baby sheep and goats.. and how fun they are to watch (especially in pajamas) then by this time I realize I haven’t been following the pattern and might have to rip back a row or 3. 😀
I love the softness of the yarn and the cozy feelings when knitting or crocheting with it. I also love all the color combinations that are possible when creating something with it.
I just love making beautiful things with yarn and that starts with beautiful yarn!
Creating something!
I love to keep my hands busy making something from yarn. t’s even better with the look and feel of beautiful yarns like yours! They are so very lovely.
Yarn is a luxury. I love to feel it in my hands as I make something precious. I rarely keep anything for myself so every stitch is precious time spent thinking of someone else.
I love the colors and textures, the act of creating something out of it, the way knitted/crocheted/woven things look and feel, and the ability to make something useable out of it, which gives one satisfaction and a sense of pride.
I love to create something out of squishy beautiful yarn.
The feel of the yarn, the whole process is very relaxing.
Love working with yarn because it is so relaxing and has been such a wonderful creative outlet.
The colours you dye are so beautiful 😍. What I really like about yarn is the colours plus it keeps my hands busy. It doesn’t completely keep me from snacking, it is just the quantity of the snacks. Lmao
Those colors are gorgeous!!! What do I love most about yarn? There’s so many things – I love that I can turn it into something warm and useful; I love that the possibilities with a ball of yarn are endless, limited only by one’s imagination.
I love the colors, how they make me happy, and the combinations that are anything from subtle to striking. Sometimes it’s overwhelming… lol being able to take a beautiful color and make it into something beautiful gives me hope, and a semse.of accomplshment.
Even if I can’t give my work away where I live because it’s not appreciated.. it makes ME feel good 💜
What I love most about yarn is how unique every skein is. I love hand-dyed yarns because of how much they vary and no matter how hard you try, every knit will be completely different, like a fingerprint. There are so many things you can make and create. Knitting has become a therapeutic passion for me, greatly lessening my anxiety at night.
Working with yarn has been awesome, it makes me feel productive, and creative at the same time. It was great to be creative again at 40, when I learned how to knit. Before that, the last time I really felt creative was in high school. To be able to make things that people would/could used daily, is awesome! It also helps that EFA yarns are so yummy to touch!
The thing I enjoy most is the sheer wonder of taking a “string” and creating items that vary strong and durable to light and airy. Mundane and functional to something to marvel the senses.
I enjoy the ability to make my own fabric. The drape and softness of the fabric makes even casual wear look good. I need to learn to knit faster….
I love seeing how different colors and weights make up as I knit. Sometimes the colors do exactly what I think they’ll do, other times I am pleasantly surprised or a bit disappointed. Either way, I love that I am still surprised even after knitting for years 🙂
For me, working with yarn is like hanging out with a dear old friend. We spend time together and make something wonderful. It’s comfortable and fun. It feels good. The possibilities are endless. And no matter which way we go, we always wind up home and happy.
I think I have always loved yarn & creating beautiful and useful items with it. This is a love I inherited from my grandmothers and great grandmothers. I have passed it on to my daughter and hope one day to share with my future granddaughter. I enjoy thinking about the person for whom I am making the item as it comes to life.
What I love most about yarn is taking the soft, colorful string and creating something beautiful. It is also such a calming time to watch the object emerge.
Wow, what a privilege it would be to get a prize like this!
I love the sense of magic that comes from turning yarn into something substantial — even after 15 years, it still feels surreal!
And the only limit is your own imagination! 😀
OH, this month’s colors are GORGEOUS! (here’s hoping I get lucky and win this month! 😉 )
I love that there so many different colors and i can mix and match and give things a new spin with a different color
Beautiful coloured yarn gives me the failing that my knitting is like painting a piece of art!
Not failing but feeling (autocorrect of course).
I am a process knitter and enjoy making a few design decisions along the way. Help me celebrate my February birthday! These colors are perfect for my Aquarian self. 😉
I love seeing how yarn works up into something that is wearable! It’s so beautiful
Yarn is my stress relievers! Plus I love creating items for my family and friends
What I Love about Yarn… All the colors and different textures… I love spending hours looking, touching, deciding, and making items. Such as hats and scarves, shawls, sweater sets, baby and adult items….
I love the finished product when working with quality yarns, and I love yours most of all.
I love the whole knitting process, from squishing skeins of yarn, picking a pattern, planning colorways , the rhythm of knitting, seeing a project start to form, then ending up with a beautiful finished product. So okay- I don’t love winding and weaving in ends, but all the rest is great!
The thing I like most about working with yarn is the feel of it on hands and the way it relaxes me.
What I love most about working with yarn, is making things for others. When I watch people open the things I make them, I love their excitement. My way of showing my love for others is by creating, cooking and making. Especially kitting or crocheting scarves, shawls or sweaters, where they can wrap themselves up and feel loved.
I love seeing something emerge from pieces of string
I love watching something so simple as a piece of yarn start turning into a usable thing. It is constantly blowing me away!
When I knit with EFA yarns it feels good to know that someone has cared about them at every step in the process. They have the most warm and vibrant lift.
I love that I have the meditative pleasure of working with the yarn and, in the end, I have made something beautiful that I can continue to enjoy!
What I love most about working with yarn is that you can create so many things from what is essentially a long (sometimes very long) piece of string – magical!!
Love the possibilities! Enjoy the calm feeling I get from the rhythm of knitting and it’s always great to come out with something usable.
Gorgeous colors! I love feeling the yarn, dreaming about what it can become and seeing the product exceed your expectations!
Working with yarn is a gratifying experience. You have the opportunity to create new items, learn with and share with a fantastic community. Creating an item is unique and wonderful
The thing I love most is that I knit just because I love it… nothing more, nothing less. I don’t do it for rewards, money or recognition, I do it without expecting anything in return, any functionality even. It is the gratuity that surrounds knitting which I most love about it.😊
I love the meditative quality of knitting. The soothing, relaxing action of swinging yarn around needle and creating stitches, and then magically growing fabric.
What I love most about working with yarn is the texture and colours and how working with two sticks you can create the most gorgeous designs, all from basically a variation of knit and purl. ☺ I love all the beautiful things that I can make as gifts for my family and friends. It is a lovely addiction.
Creating beautiful hand made items for others to love
I love everything about yarn! For me, it is relaxation, creativity and making things for others.
I love being able to take some string and sticks, and being able to create things with it!! It’s amazing. I love making things for others, I feel like homemade gifts are the best, so thoughtful.
This is a very beautiful color plan, I imagine whatever is made of it would be beautiful.
I really enjoy knitting with yarn because it always amazes me when a pattern comes together and I made it. I’ve never been known to be the creative type but knitting makes me feel like I am!
What I love most about working with yarn… I guess I love to see what I can make with my own hands. I like to make gifts for others and see their expression when they see something I made specifically for them. I made a scarf for my aunt a few years ago, and she was so happy to get it; she wore it all winter. As far as I know, she still wears it every winter lol. I’m also currently working on a blanket for my little cousin (8 days to go and praying I finish in time 😂) Working with yarn also reminds me of another aunt of mine. She passed away when I was 13, and she was the one to teach me how to crochet. So she basically began my love of yarn. Plus, it’s just a whole lot of fun. I love to feel the yarn in my hands and see how everything blends as I make something. My hope is to learn how to spin yarn some day.
What do I love most about working with yarn?
Oh lordy! Ditto Ruthie Kronk!!!! She said it all, bless her heart!!!
Happy February to you all, and Happy Birthday to me!! Yes, today is
my birthday and I’m spending it knitting myself a big ol’ sweater!!!
Woo Hoo!!!!!!!
Happy Birthday!
I’m still fascinated how one minute it’s just a ball of yarn and within an hour I have an object… a Hat! Booties! A Scarf! I sew as well, but there are so many parts to sewing: pins, scissors, pattern chalk, sewing machine, dress mannequin, etc. with knitting I just sit down to watch a movie and by the end I have a thing! I look down and I’ve made fabric!
Possibilities. And color. And squish. 🙂
What a beautiful collection. 😍 As we just had 2 snow days in a row this yarn reminds me of the varying colors of the sky throughout the year.
What I love most about working with yarn is how relaxing it is. If I stressed I like to escape in a yarn project. I always have a project (usually a small one) in my school bag that I can pick up and work on as time allows.
Thank you for these beautiful collections.
I love how relaxed I am while I knit. I have been knitting less than a year and more than 75% of my work I have gifted. There is nothing better than knowing that the works that I am making are going to someone special to me. I can’t wait to purchase your beautiful yarns and try one of your patterns. They are stunning and I know just the special person that will love this month’s colors.
I love how soft the yarn is and all the beautiful poaaoble colors you can have! I also love how you can turn yards of it into something beautiful like a shawl or sweater.
I love creating ! I love choosing different yarns for each project!
I love the feel of working with good yarn. IT is fun to see how different yarns and different colors take different stitches – and very relaxing.
Knitting seems to keep me grounded. I love the process regardless of what the project is. Would love to win February’s yarn for my 65th this month (I can’t be that old)!
o, so pretty!
I love going from the inspiration of gorgeous yarn and creative patterns to the reality of a garment for me to wear, a home decor item, or a gift.
I love working with yarn because it is relaxing and meditative to crochet. I also love the beautiful colors of the yarn and being able to be creative. I also find yarn crafts to be very forgiving: if you make a mistake, you can frog it back and fix it if needed.
I love the feeling of different fibers. How each project feels special, and the colors weave together in a way that creates fabric in new variety of colors. The way each skein comes together is always inspiring to grab another project to begin.
Using yarn is like painting. It’s not only about the colors, it’s about texture and feelings while the strand runs through my fingers and slides on the needles.
I love these colors, they’re stunning!
There are so many reasons to love yarn! First, I love the process of imagining a project and finding the perfect color. Second, it’s meditative as well as versatile. I can knit and listen to music, tv shows, audio books, or silence. I can knit and converse. Third, I love the joy of finishing and wearing or gifting a project.
Working with natural fibres leaves me feeling at one with nature..using produce of this earth and being in touch with my soul.
The visual and tactile elements of fiber really intrigue me. When I see yarn that really catches my soul, I’m off and running imagining what I can create with it ❤️
I love the beautiful things I can make, the colors available, that yarn can be flexible and forgiving in a pattern (but has a mind of its own too -looking at you, yarn barf!- ). Yarn makes me happy.
I love to make whatever I can on my looms. I have a bit of a yarn obsession.
I love not only everything to do with yarn but the fiber community. I became aware of your gorgeous yarn in a Santa secret swap this Christmas. I have found the fiber community to be extremely caring, kind, and generous.
What don’t I love about yarn?! There’s so much variety to choose from. Beautiful fibres, endless colour combinations and so sooo many designs we get to create with it. It’s why we hoard it and keep buying it before we finish a single project haha I’d take yarn over diamonds.
Squishy, soft, beautiful yarn! It makes me happy to see the skeins and know they are full of potential. And working with yarn makes me feel calm, creative, and productive!
I love the feel of the fibers gliding through my fingers while the rhythm of the sticks lulls calmness
Love this month colors so pretty love blue anyway
Every skein is like a work of art, each one beautiful and unique in its own way🌻❤️🌻
What I love the most is the therapeutic relaxation I get when I knit, even when I make mistakes! 🙂 It soothes my soul.
I love everything about working with yarn, from the hunt for the perfect color, fiber content, and weight…I get giddy in the planning phase. I love both process and product. I find the process to be meditative and I am always amazed that the final product came from “two sticks and some string.” I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the people….Most of my closest friends I met through knitting.
What i love most about working with yarn is that it keeps me in a very mindful state. It helps me unwind my mind after a long day. I love if I’m working on a project for someone else that I can put blessings into each stitch. I like the idea of getting back to artisan way appreciating more of what is made than consumerism of just buying a garment outright. Each pieces seems so much more meaningful.
The thing I like most about yarn is how it feels and the feeling I get when I knit (play!). It is so relaxing and a time of quiet in this loud life.
Love all your wonderful yarns
What Ruthie K said !!!
She put my thoughts into words & I could not say it better
I am new to yarnwork- I love the variation – in texture, in color. It’s been meditative for me to work with, and I also enjoy learning about the processes used to create it.
I love working with yarn because sometimes you work long and hard at something and don’t always have the satisfaction of seeing a tangible output but yarn is never that way. You can take a seemingly simple thread, a pattern or creativity and some focus and wa-la you have something to wear or a gifted give!
I love working with yarn most when I’m learning something new and becoming proficient at it. I just started learning Tunisian knitting and I love the way yarn looks with the stitches in this art form. It’s just so beautiful and can look like fabric.
Let’s talk silver linings–of which, for me during 2020, were surprisingly many. Even with the stress of being furloughed for 10 weeks (longest time out of work since I was 18 and including having 3 sons–and yes, they are my ‘Three Sons) I gave myself the gift of ‘finding me’ (still searching for some parts.)’. So one of the things Covid ‘gave’ to me was time to work on hobbies new and old. As such, knitting has become a passion and a huge stress reliever since not only am I still working, but care-taking my Mom aka The Little Woman. So grateful for your little ‘Tuesday Chats’; so grateful for your Friday’s Mini Tutorials. Love the feel of the yarn I get. I love trying new stitches. Love the colors–so beautiful and inspiring. I love having an excuse for buying new tote bags . . . ;D
As usual, amazing colors Chandi! I love how it feels going through my fingers. I play in my mind what the sheep to skein process was.
Gorgeous colors. What I love about yarns? It is my saving grace. I can have anxiety and depression. Pretty bad sometimes. Yarn helps me focus on something beautiful that I am able to make into something for a loved one. Ir is my meditation and saving grace.
Working with yarn is so flexible. You can make so much with it with many different crafts, not just knitting or crocheting. And you can get different textures out of the same yarn just by changing the type of stitch you use.
I like the way it feels in my hands. I also like creating beautiful things.
Yarn just makes me happy. Looking at it, touching it, creating with it.
I love how yarn lets you express yourself. There are certain colors that draw you to them and warm your heart as you create works of magic for those you love
The thing I love most about working with yarn is the squishy, soft, colorful, vibrant, alive feeling the yarn has and tells you what it can be when you work with it.
I love the feel of yarn and the opportunity to create something that is uniquely my own.
I love the lovely naturalness of wooly things, being able to do something and share it / talking about it with others- giving socks to others and thinking about how cozy they will feel ❤️
Chandi just want to say I’m so impressed with the way over and beyond the top in reference to the ease and texture of your hand dyed yarn. I love it! Sure would love to win one month giveaway!
First it is the feeling, that’s why I prefer natural fibres or yarn with a high quantity of natural fibres. Second, I love that I can make something beautiful and useful. And I enjoy the colours and patterns.
Pretty colours and it all comes together so nicely!
Knitting relaxes me. I’ve made a few prayer shawls and have learned to knit when I can relax and put good thoughts into my work. I hope that these knitted items I make bring some peace to my friends and family.
As always, Gorgeous and Beautiful colors! Love all of the yarns, so soft, wonderful to work with…and wear! I love to knit shawls, with these yarns!
I see shawls and wraps in the near future. Gorgeous.
I love how relaxing it is and being able to create anything.
I’ve been playing with yarn since I was a little person. I love yarn and how it looks and feels. When I make something, half the pleasure is in making the object with beautiful yarn and the other half is giving it to someone to enjoy.
Oh these colors are right up my alley! Love the blues!
I love working with yarn because knitting is a tactile process. All the different combinations of fibers and colors is exquisite. With knitting (and crocheting), I am taken on a journey of discovery, with the end result being unique to me. Even if two people make the same item with the same yarn, it will be different. Thanks Chandi! Your yarns are so luxurious.
Hi Chandi!
My favorite thing about working with yarn is that I can physically make something wearable or usable by hand instead of buying it made. I feel productive and empowered. I’ve even recently gotten into spinning fiber with a hand spindle and making my own yarn. I’ve come to really appreciate the fiber arts within the last 2 years and I don’t see my eagerness to learn more dying down any time soon!
Your yarn is always beautiful and since I’ve started learning more about the different fibers, I can appreciate each skein even more no matter where I get it from!
It takes you away from everything else. I just focus on what I’m doing. No multitasking. I think that’s why it relieves stress. And I love numbers and find enjoyment in the counting as well.
I feel relaxed when I work with yarn. The soothing repetition of motion while creating the stitches. I also like the challenge of figuring out a new pattern, or learning new stitches.
I love the feel of yarn, especially the silky yarns. Touching and holding the yarn while knitting gives me an internal smile. Each step of a knitting project makes me look forward to the outcome. Looking forward, instead of back, is so important to me and knitting helps to keep me on track. But…the feel of the yarn in my hands is very, very special! Thank you for the chance to win February’s beautiful yarns!
If I win this beautiful bundle, I will quickly cast on Melting Transitions shawl. Lovely!!
I love keeping my hands busy and creating something beautiful and useful.
The allure of it all. How the touch, movement and quality of yarn can make you feel. A simple shawl depending on the yarn, can feel like a warm hug or a soft caress.
The escape is limitless.
I love the color work you and your team do!!! You are one of my favorite dyers that I have gotten to work with your yarns. I would so love to win!!!
The thing that I love most about working with yarn, aside from taking it from “nothing” to something, is feeling it run through my fingers as the needles click or the hook moves through it. It’s like meditation for me.
Congrats to the January 2021 winner! LOVE the February colourways! Yarn feels like a luxury in your hand and whisks your mind to a peaceful creative oasis.
To work with yarn makes me satisfied, love the colors of the new giveaway 💕
I enjoy knitting it gives me a creative outlet. It also allows me to share my makes with others. It reminds me of spending time with friends over beverages just talking. The yarn selection for this month are so rich and warm. It’s like looking at a warm hug so inviting. The items to make with these yarn colors are so full of wonder.
I love the moment the color changes to another one and you see the fabric come alive.
Working with yarn is relaxing while keeping my mind and hands active. I love seeing the pattern develop into a project.
I love seeing my yarn go from a pretty, tidy ball to a finished garment. It’s so satisfying and amazing to wear what you make!
I love the feeling of the fiber when I knit
FIRST, these giveaway colors are beautiful, totally stunning! Thank you for even offering them up as a prize 🙂 to answer the question, I love the transformative powers of yarn. I like to think about the whole process of the yarn before I get it and then I get to work on creating something.
Yarn love. It starts with the colors. Anything in the blue-green spectrum pulls me in…well in all fairness there are few colors that I don’t love but those colors calm my mind and sing to my soul. Sometimes it starts before I even see the yarn. A good description makes my fingers itch to enter my credit card digits. Then the wait for it to come…dreaming about the yarn. Then the big day comes and the yarn arrives. You can touch it. You can see the texture and the yarn whispers to you what it wants to be. Then the hours of knit, purl, slip stitch, yarn over with the yarn slipping around your fingers easing the worries of the day, week or year out of your mind, body and soul. You feel amazingly powerful. You are creating something substantial that can wrap yourself or a loved one in a physical incarnation of pure love. Okay it has been a long day and I am not even sure this makes sense but I just let my fingers type while dreaming of my next love affair. Currently torn between melting hues and immersed hues…but then there is Standing Tall…Love the picture of the bird and trying to image what the yarn would look like. Hints of pink…purple, light blue, sexy black with a touch of sienna? Ahhhhhhhh….I want it all.
What I love about working with yarn is the instant comfort and solace it gives you the minute you touch it. I love creating soft, warm hugs like shawls and sweaters!
The colors are what grab me. I love the whole process of selecting yarn to working the project and letting myself relax and get carried away to another place while knitting.
While it is difficult to name just one thing…. what I like most about working with yarn is how it callms and centres me.
What I love about yarn is being able to create something! I love the feel of yarn, using 2 needles, relaxing and getting into a rhythm. It’s just plain enjoyable!
I love the joy having a a simple bit of yarn transform into something bound to bring a smile to people’s faces
I love working with yarn, because it is so relaxing and I love making things for my family. My youngest daughter really loves the things I make. She always thinks the the things I make are for her. She kind of gets disappointed if they’re not.
I love being able to make something beautiful out of yarn and just watching a project come to life
What I like about yarn is it helps me relax after a long day at work. I love to create new things.
What I love about yarn, you say? Why, everything … colour, texture, endless possibilities, creating, finishing, satisfaction, and did I mention colour? Once again, beautiful colours this month that are calling my name!
It’s so soothing!
I love the textures, the colors and the idea of what will they become.
The sensations while I’m knitting or crochetting are very gratifying… priceless
Thank you!
I love the fact that my budding designer granddaughter (aged 8), can draw me a picture of a cardigan she wants me to knit. The look on her face when I present the completed garment to her is absolutely priceless. But the absolute best thing about working with yarn is all those millions of possibilities.
First off I love the color palette for the giveaway this month. Blue and grey are my favorite colors to pair together.
My favorite thing that I love about yarn, is it’s kind of like magic. Two sticks, some super soft yarn, and some time and suddenly I have a sweater or shawl to wear or give to friends. Also it gets a bit addicting, trying to find the perfect shade for a new project.
It’s so tactile and engrossing…. and the colours!!!!
Working with yarn is so soothing and relaxing. It’s so rewarding seeing the beautiful colors evolve into a piece of art and having a sense of accomplishment when a project is completed.
I love the texture of yarn and the beautiful transitions you can make as you are knitting. There are endless possibilities for color and every section can be unique.
I love all of the color and texture of different yarns. Knitting helps calm me and makes me happy.
What I love about yarn is the calming effect it has. I can feel the stress of the day melt away.
I know it’s often said, but yarn is so calming: to look at, to touch, to transform into lovely things!
I love all things yarn. The feel as it slip through your fingers is hard to explain. The high you get when you’ve created something useful and beautiful is wonderful. The colours are endless and can spur the imagination. This collection intoxicating, I love it so much.
Looks so soft and Silky
I love the peace of mind and relaxation I receive most about working with yarn. The excitement of making something with my hands and all the beautiful yarns to choose from.
I love the feel of the yarn as it glides through my fingers and watching as it transforms in to each stitch to form a very unique project. Your yarns are spectacular!!!!
As usual the giveaway choices are “gorgeous darling”. I have so many favourite reasons for knitting and crocheting that I will give a funny instead. When they were young my kids would have their friends over and I would hear from he other room shhh, my mom is counting so we have to wait quietly until she stops and asks us what she can do for us. Lol, train them early.
I love the feel of the yarn itself sliding through my fingers as I work a project, especially Expression Fiber Arts yarn that is so luscious. And I love the feeling of achievement watching whatever I am making begin to take shape and grow. For me working with yarn is calming, relaxing, cathartic, and rewarding. Thank you for creating such beautiful and inspiring fibers.
I love the relaxation i get after a stressful day with knitting and crochet. I also love that i get to tap into my creative side when working with yarn. Just a little bit of string can transform into something wonderous!
I love the feeling of the yarn on my fingers, the sound of the needles when knitting, the finished item…
But what I love the most about working with yarn is the I that appears. I love the person I am when I knit. I am a calmer, kinder, more focused version of me and I LOVE IT!!!
What I love most is your saturated colours and the silky softness. This yarn is definitely a treat
As always your yarns are so beautiful. Yarn is so many things it is difficult to describe. The texture can satisfy so many needs. Sometimes just holding it in my hands on my lap is enough when I don’t have the energy to actually knit.
I love the transformation yarn provides, from strand through my hands to finished wearable art.
Congratulations Lavende Lady!!!!!
Yarn make me happy. All yarn, from the sheep, it feels so soft and warm. I am so happy when I work with yarn.
I love it <3
Working with yarn makes me happy. It’s like writing a song when you have a beautiful melody already in your head.
I love that I get something practical out of such a pleasant process! It’s so soft. It’s like wearing my blankie!
I love bringing joy to others with a special yarn project. Also I find it really relaxing. Thank you for another wonderful giveaway!
Hi Chandi,
Besides loving the colors, I really enjoy the feel of the yarn. How soft and squishy it is. Knitting satisfies my need to create, and relaxes me.
Just love the MAKING! And I must say – Even the ways you display your beautiful yarns is a work of art!
I love yarn. The softer the better . My life is very busy but every evening I love to sit watch a movie and pickup my yarn. I love both crochet and knit. If there is free time I sneak on over to my ball of yarn.
What I love most about yarn these days is its ability to calm my mind whether I am knitting with it or just petting it.
What I love most about working with yarn is how it feels. The feeling in my hands as I’m working with it, the feeling of accomplishment when I’m done, the feeling of joy when I gift the finished piece.
I love the color, texture, and process of each fiber art craft that I part take in: knitting, crocheting, and weaving.
I love the satisfaction of a beautiful finished product, especially one made with ultra soft, squishy yarns. I love that you can make something unique, and since I crochet, that it really can’t be replicated by a machine.
Oh wow! Chandi, this collection is just gorgeous! There aren’t that many places where these tones are available… gosh I can’t wait till I have enough money saved to buy one of these sets to make a sweater, just cannot get over how gorgeous they are! You must be in heaven with all these amazing tones and hues with projects galore a plenty to choose from!!! I’m only slightly jealous, I don’t think I’d get any projects finished for wanting to start a new one in a new colour!
I just love the stress relief and making beautiful things!
I love the feel of the yarn. I love to feel how soft and/or fuzzy it is, I like to feel the stretch of it, how it moves and bends as I knit with it. It is an amazing experience each and every time!!
I love how satisfying it is to watch the final product grow little by little with each row.
Yarn makes me feel smart. It’s full of possibilities and I love that I can take something so basic and turn it into something. Even on those days when things are all going sideways, I can pick up my knitting in the difficulty level that suits the mood and feel like I accomplished something.
I believe this may be my favorite color grouping of all! Absolutely LOVE the colors!
Sigh. Such lovely colors, such divine fibers. ❤️
I love the fact that you can take a long string and 2 sticks and turn it into something beautiful!
what I love about yarn is the colors, softness, the POSSIBILITIES! Knitting is soothing to me.
These gorgeous yarns are colours I totally gravitate towards. The feel of the yarn, the joy of mastering a new stitch or pattern, combined w/ the calm meditation of daily crochet keeps me sane….couldn’t do without.🥰
I love how knitting is so relaxing! I love the feel of the yarn, the colors, the enjoyment of working on a project, the joy of completion and every aspect of the process!!
What I love about working with yarn is trying out new techniques
Oh my! Those colours! The shine! I love knitting.
I love everything about it: the texture, the softness, the ply, every part of it is amazing!
I find it very relaxing..it’s great therapy!!🥰
I love working with yarn because I find the different fibers to be fascinating. How they take the color and I can create whatever I want with them. Tailored to my likes or the likes of whom I gift to.
I love working with yarn because it gives me pleasure & peace.
Lo que me gusta de trabajar con los hilos, es que puedes personalizar la ropa a tu gusto. Además los colores de estos hilos son una maravilla y te animan a hacerte un montón de cosas. La verdad es que me tienen enamorada
The Pro Arte String Quartet of the University of Wisconsin has a youtube collection of all of the Beethoven string quartets. It is such a pleasure to listen while I knit.
I love that you can make pretty much anything and the motion of it is so relaxing.
I love the beautiful color shading of hand dyed yarn, the squishiness, and lovely items of art that we create with the yarns. My favorites are ones with sheen that catch light rays, enhancing the depth of color. February is my birth month and this yarn stash would make a lovely birthday gift!
I love the feel of wool yarn moving through my fingers and after a long period of knitting, my hands are softer.
I love the softness of all weights of your yarn.
The colors would make a beautiful and graceful woven prayer shawl
Each item is one of a kind, a gift of one’s time and dedication. Besides, the feeling of the yarn while you work with it is exhilarating.
Working with yarn makes me feel like I’m accomplishing something and, since I give most of my creations away, spreading joy in the world.
What I love about working with yarn, well making things out of “string” is my super power. From making beautiful clothing to fishing nets. It’s peace.
First of all I want to thank you for the opportunity you give us all for winning some of your beautiful yarn. Yarn is what brings me peace, joy and comfort in this somewhat crazy life I lead
For a few years now, crocheting and knitting has lowered my blood pressure (My blood pressure is lower than it was as a teenager, and i no longer take medication for it. )
Thank you for so many wonderful patterns, Yours are so easy to follow, and the finished garments, your yarns, and their colors, LOVE THEM
I love being creative and trying new yarns. New weights, fiber contents or color combinations is my way of being adventurous!
Oh, you have outdone yourself this time. Swoon worthy!! I love the whole process of choosing yarn that is squooshy and soft, a color that calls to me, a pattern that gets me excited, watching the knits and purls come together, and the joy I feel when I have created something that can be given away or loved by me.
It’s been my escape from our current world and work world. (medical field)
The textures and blends is balancing for me.
Recently purchased from a local shop, sadly they are closing in about two weeks time.
Once I complete two of my three projects I will be purchasing the “how to knit your first sweater with bulky weight yarn”.
I love the endless possibilities that yarns gives you, blend and mix colors, textures, patterns, lace, weights of yarn and see what you get. Never ceases to amaze me. Working with yarn has always relaxed me as well as presented a challenge from time to time. I have knit, crocheted, woven, embroidered, done finger weaving as well as loom weaving. So many choices…And as always you have a wonderful selection of colors in this month’s give away. They work well alone or with others in the stack. You are amazing. Congratulations to the winner of last months give away and all the others. Perhaps one month my name will be a winning one, you never know.
I love working with yarn mostly because I get to play with color. I love freeform crochet and color is important to my work. I feel the same way about texture and sheen. I love a good silk sheen paired with an intense color… that’s my happy place.
What I like best about working with yarn is just being creative. Being able to take “string” and make something to wear, something for the home, or even toys. I’m only limited by my imagination.
The best thing about working with yarn is that it calms me. If I’m worked up, it calms my brain. If I’m sitting with family watching a movie, it calms my body, so I’m not up or fidgeting constantly. If I’m around people that are annoying, it calms me enough that my mouth doesn’t say something I may later regret.
I love the sensory stimulation that the feel and color of yarn provide 💕
When I am knitting something, I feel close to the women before me who also knitted, my mother, and her mother before her. I was taught that to knit for your family or friends is a way to say “I love you”. And I enjoy envisioning the recipient with the knitted item, using it, knowing it’s full of loving thoughts in each stitch. It’s very satisfying to me to knit.
These colours are absolutely stunning! I love the feel of the yard passing though my fingers and the way you see it disappear from one place and reappear transformed in another!
I love working with yarn for so many reasons! My favorite part of working with yarn is feeling for squishy it becomes when I’m finished! I’m working in the sugar blush shawl right now and it’s perfectly squishy and soft! I can’t wait to see how it turns out! 🙂
What I love the most about working with yarn is contemplating the possibilities and feeling the fibers running through fingers.
What I love most of working with yarn is the excitement of seeing the colors & feeling the texture of the end result!
“Something from nothing” has always been a theme in my life and working with yarn is a great representation of that concept. That’s why I love it. It’s an opportunity to make your own fabric and turn it into something beautiful and useful and substantial.
I love creating something new and intricate out of something relatively simple, like strands of yarn.
Yarn fills my eyes with color, caresses my hands, fulfills my creativity, delights my spirit, and let’s me wear ART.
I love when yarn transforms from a single strand into something wonderful. My grandchildren love my yarn puzzles.
I love the tactile sensation of the yarn and knitting or crocheting it into something that I have in mind. It’s very rewarding to create something with my own hands.
I love that I can create anything I want. The possibilities are endless.
I’m so glad I found you on YouTube! Your videos, your passion, the beauty of your yarns, the colour combinations, the patterns, I even love your emails, they seriously brighten my day – thank you Chandi!
I love blue and green colors. They are easy to blend and look very beautiful. These yarns are so tempting that I want to try the anuket design with them.
Getting to make something special for people! I have been hooked on making adorable little bonnets for all the little children on my block.
I love that I can make something useable or wearable out of nothing really, just a ball of yarn! It’s also fascinating to learn how different types of yarn behave because of what fibers it’s made of and how it’s constructed.
Your shop is my go-to for ordering yarn. I purchase several times a month simply because I can’t help myself! I know I couldn’t possibly fit all the projects in that I want to make, but your messages, photos, and products are so inspiring and empowering, and we all need that a little more in our lives. It feels like a hug. <3 I've never been disappointed with the quality of your yarn. It always has such a beautiful finish and the colors are gorgeous. Thank you for being a part of my life!
I just LOVE yarn !!! All the colors and it is so soft and squishy I want it all !!
Beautiful yarn as always!! I would love to make a new shawl/wrap!
Working with yarn is just so peaceful, and I also love making things for myself and other people.
Just started using your yarns and I’m in love. I’m making the Renata. Thank you so much.
These are just fabulous! Love the rich colors!
I find crocheting as soothing as having a cat purring in my lap – put the two together for ultimate relaxation.
I love working with yarn because it never ceases to amaze me that you can take a string and make so many things. Like magic!
I love the textures and the subtle strength of yarn. You look at an individual strand and it may not seem sturdy, but knit it into a blanket and you’ll be warm for years.
Yarn is always quiet and peaceful. In our chaotic world, yarn brings order and beauty.
I love buying yarn. I have two rooms hiding hundreds of skeins, hanks and balls of yarn. I love when I see a pattern that I fall in love with and know that I have just the perfect yarn to make it. I love making sweaters. but lately have been making blankets for new grand-children and for marriages.
What I love most of working with yarn is that it is very relaxing.
I love to be able to create unique things, shawls, pullovers, hat, handbags… Thinking about the pattern, the stitches combinations, feeling the yarn…. It’s amazing
Every piece you make with yarn is a dream come true!! 🧶🧶🧶
I most love the never ending possiblities that come with each skein. And the transformation it undergoes in my hands. To me, yarn also brings a promise of satisfaction that comes with creating something new. Regardless of all the frustration which is part of every process.
What I love about working with yarn is seeing that thin strand of fiber turn into fabric that’s both beautiful and useful – even though I know how it works it’s still kind of amazing. But I also just love yarn without working with it because seeing all the gorgeous colors and textures in a tumble of neatly skeined yarn makes me feel bountiful and blessed and full of all the ideas and potential in that yarn.
Yarn has the ability to soothe aching hearts and minds. As you embrace it, you create something of beauty. It allows you to give back to others or just wrap yourself in a gift you created just for you. As you make something with someone in mind, you can shower your gift with prayers for them.
I love the calming rhythm of the stitches
Oh Chandi! Be still my beating heart! Magnificent selection on offer this month. Thank you again for another incredible opportunity.
You know, that’s a tough question. If I sit here and think long and hard and not jump at the obvious reasons, I think most of all it connects me with my roots and why I am the person I am today. The familiarity of crafts witnessed and shared by my Nanna and Grandmother as well as my own mother. Crafts borne out of necessity of era, as well as crafts for the sheer love of it. It takes me back to the safe, content, happy, love filled, knowledge sharing moments of childhood which I’d also love to impart to the next generation due in a couple of months time. Even my father imparted his passion of working with the hands by being a magnificent cabinet maker who also built planes and flew them and cabin cruisers which we fished from. I was surrounded by creativity.
LOL, now you’re making me want to revert to my childhood again. 😉
My sister, who doesn’t create with fiber, said it best when she said “You take two pointy sticks and some string and you have a nifty textile in the end. That’s pretty cool”. Then we both laughed and laughed, because that’s what we do when we’re together. 😆😂😅🤣
I’m new to knitting and crocheting and I love how much more forgiving yarn is than I originally thought. I assumed that a few knits, unknits and reknits would destroy the yarn but it doesn’t. I’m grateful because I make a lot of mistakes and have to undo work frequently to try again.
I love to see what can be created from beautiful colored fibers.
It makes me happy to see and feel the softness of a finished project.
And the look of someone receiving a gift that doesn’t knit but appreciates the work and love put into it.
It’s creative and I love to knit and crochet I mostly crochet amigurumi and I crocheted the pineapple shawl for a gift.
What I love most about working with yarn is that I can make beautiful things out of just yarn and a crochet hook or knitting needles. You don’t need all these fancy supplies to create a work of art, and I love that.
My favorite thing about working with yarn is feeling it rin through my fingers as I knit! And if I am using hand dyed yarn, I love the not-knowing what the next stitch will look like! Its like an edge-of-your-seat movie that you can’t stop watching! 🖤🖤🖤🧶
Cheers to Lady Lavender for winning last time Good luck to all, thanks to Chandi and staff for this opportunity to win
Creating knit or crochet items helps me feel as though I accomplished, completed something. I struggle with written patterns and am so grateful for videos, had to adapt knitting style to assist with disabilities which includes the written pattern even composing this is a huge challenge so please forgive me for errors etc
What I love most about working with yarn is that I can sit down with what is basically two sticks and string and end up with a beautiful, useful and wearable object. Even when using a pattern, I can choose colors that speak to me and make a few changes to make a piece my own. It is a great outlet for my creativity that is portable so I can do it anywhere.
🤔 i’m not even sure where to start. I love the piece I find when I’m working on a project. The possibilities are endless… The colors, the softness… watching it all come together. Seeing the look on someone’s face when you gift them with something that you made just for them. ❤️
Yarn is color therapy. Yarn captures our emotions and transfers them to the recipients. Yarn stimulates our sense of touch and connects us to its source. Yarn is transformational like building a house or cooking a recipe. It’s the raw material that becomes a treasure. I love making softies for children. It’s a way to say “I love you” and a way to be remembered ❤ I can still recall at 63 the stuffed animals and toys I cherished as a child. Yarn brings me closer to my parents who have been gone for 33 years. My mom taught me to knit and my dad taught me to crochet. It’s accurate to say I’d be lost without it.
What I love about working with yarn is that it’s fixable, relaxing and there are so many possibilities!
And that I can make my own!
Yarn is like a painting, such vivid colors. Love them.
I love watching a project take shape on the needles and the best part is that Chamdi’s yarn just wants to be knitted. (It’s difficult to explain but so true!) The yarn simple glides over the needles .Living on an island in Alaska, most of the winter months are spent inside, keeping my hands warm and creating many beautiful things.
Yarn is my line to de-stress from the world. I can escape and be creative!.
I like what becomes of a project when iam finshed will the yarn.
What’s NOT to love, right?! But currently my “most” favorite thing is that I’m making timeless/heirloom/and nostalgic pieces for my children and grandchildren~ While I’ve made MANY different pieces throughout the years for them, these are extra special 🙂 This past Christmas I made my 4 grown children their own xmas blankets to break out every year around the holidays~ We have the intricate and detailed doily tablecloths and throws we use every season that were created so very long ago by MY great grandmother that gives us all the feels of nostalgia and comfort that coincides with Christmas itself~ So I know that long after I am gone my family will continue this tradition within their homes and their gatherings, and feel the same comfort and joy~ Not only are crocheted and knitted pieces created with love not affected by the passage of time, they capture within their very fibers all of the love and comfort they have brought to the many souls it has touched through the passing years, and continues to carry those memories and create new ones along the way~ This is not simply a hobby we have… It is an ever growing life that we bring 🙂
I love that the most beautiful fabric can be made using yarn. Especially hand dyed yarn that has shuttle changes in colors. I love making things for others too!
Just trying to get back into Knitting and crochet, after a long hiatus, to express some of my creativity
It’s my Zen..my creative outlet..my happy place. I feel like I am the vessel for the yarn, to become what it is intended to be! It’s a blessing and an art form to do what we do, at any level. To see the joy in my family’s faces when I gift them with one of my hand knit items, is priceless.. Made with love and intention.
I love watching the simplicity of string and yarn morphing into a thing of beauty and love.
The tactile pleasure and the sumptuous colors are what I love most about working with yarn. Especially greens of every type and blues too.
I love creating things! There’s also something about using my hands to make something while I’m reading or watching TV or doing something else that adds to those experiences.
Wow! So many comments. For myself, fibers feel comforting. So much work goes into each hank; I enjoy the texture color and satisfaction of creation. Lovely colors, I’m new here but see many discovered your talents!
Kind of a beginner – but it’s all about COLOR and how colors work together!
For me, I would have to say the thing I love the most is the ability to create anything imaginable.
I love the textures of different yarns. I am one who likes to grocery shop in person, because I like to be able to “touch” what I am buying. I guess the tactile experience for me is pretty big!
So Love the feel of yarn and the magic that comes from each skein or hank.. All the different textures, just uses you imagination.. This is such an enjoyment for me and relaxation..
I love the feel of yarn in my hands. There’s something immensely relaxing and satisfying in turning soft, squishy yarn into something beautiful. And I love color, too. It makes me happy, especially during the gloomy winter months.
I love yarn for so many reasons – the possibilities, the beautiful colors and textures, the creativity it sparks. But the thing I love most about it is sharing it with my sister. We are both yarn and knitting fanatics and it’s one more thing that brings us closer together. It’s something only we share within our friends and family, like a 2 person secret society. It makes my heart leap!
It’s hard to describe all the feelings I have when knitting or crocheting. It’s very therapeutic, calming, escapism. Magical! Takes me to another place while at the same time creating something for the ones I love. And that’s why I think using the best yarn that I can afford makes my experience even more enchanting and adds to the enjoyment of my craft.
I am a fairly new crocheter; started playing with the idea about 2 1/2 years ago. I quickly fell in love with the craft & taught myself to read patterns (& obviously learned a lot from amazingly talented creators like Chandi & EFA). I have crocheted lots of beautiful things in such a short period of time, but my favorite things to make are clothes items & purses/bags. I love to make things that are current, modern, stylish, etc.
The many types of yarns fascinate me – from weights to fibers to colors – all yarn is beautiful. Then, learning how to make a piece of fabric thin & drapey to thick & sturdy & everything in between, just by choosing the right hook size & stitch pattern for the chosen yarn, means I can create anything my heart desires. That’s so exciting to me!
Basically, I love everything about YARN; I love to crochet & I love to create!
Everything! Color, texture, pattern, appearance – all of it ❤
Gorgeous colours Chandi! What a treat for the winner!
What I love about working with yarn is how it is beautiful in the raw as well as being transformed into a useful thing. The process is so wonderful – it can be meditative and relaxing or mega challenging and complicated. The choice is yours…. x
Lady Lavender, congratulations!!!!!
With wool you can do anything. Crochet, knitting, felting and so much moor. I love to spin my wool and then paint it into beautiful colors, like spring colors.
Spring give so much colors and the wool take it. So lovely, to feel the wool trough your hands. I love it!!!!
Is it that it always takes me back to the time when I would sit with my grandma and play, wind or learn to crochet…or the sense of accomplishment after finishing a piece…could also be the frustration of not understanding a certain stitch technique and then getting that “aha, I got it!” moment…finding a favorite stitch…finding a yarn so soft you immediately put it up to your cheek…seeing different colors on a sunset, ocean or living thing and thinking “I could put those colors together in my next project”…
My favorite part of working with yarn is the feeling as it glides through my fingers as I’m working. And finishing a project gives me a satisfied feeling, no matter how many times I’ve had to start over or frog back a few rows 😀
Creating something from a hank of yarn is like spending special moments with a dear friend and creating another beautiful memory to hold in my heart while we are apart.
I absolutely love your yarn! You’ve got me literally hooked!
I love the colors and textures of yarn. I also like the fact that yarn is practical.
There are many things to love about knitting. Even following a pattern, I cannot help but make it my own…my fav heel instead of the one in the pattern, a different ribbing, a rounded toe instead of the pointy one in most patterns…and on and on. I love playing with colors and different patterns for texture. I love the peace that comes when I am in my chair knitting. I just love knitting and listening to audiobooks (when the pattern doesn’t require too much attention). Ok, I just love to knit!
I love the colors, whether deep and rich or gentle and subtle. I love the feel of different yarns, squishy, buttery, smooth, silky, and especially the softness that makes me swoon. And I love the potential waiting in each batch of yarn, whispering, “I want to be….” or, “I want to be with *this* yarn next to me, yessss….”
What I love most about working with yarn is letting my creativity flow. I’ll take a basic pattern and tweak it into something a bit different. Sometimes I make it up as I go. Trying new patterns with interesting technics is also fun.
What I love most about working with yarn is being able to say I….MADE….IT !!! Whether it’s a gift for someone, or something I’ve made for myself, I always get a warm and fuzzy feeling (kinda like yarn!) knowing my hands were able to transform a ball of yarn into something that is so much more 🧶 🧦 🧤🧣
Thank you for making this available. I haven’t won yet but I keep on entering in the hope that I will. Your yarn is exquisite in color and content.
Made a nice scarf for my mom and she loved the color and softness of the yarn. Thanks.
I just love the versatility and the joy I can bring to others through it
Yarn.. what do I find that I love while working with it? The colors, the softness, the anticipation of how the projects work up, how the rhythm relaxes my ginormous level of stress and the feeling of floating away into the world of fiber where the universe says, now now…. your day was stressful… relax, make something, be creative…take time for yourself and find your happy place. The hustle and bustle of the day quiets the environment and then I wish that this serenity would be ever lasting. Oh, and I like to play with yarn too..squishies!
It connects me to others. I very seldom keep what I make. I make things to give to others and hopefully it will give joy and comfort.
Knitting calms me. I love the way a high quality yarn flows through my fingers. Watching a new creation evolve from my hands. gives such satisfaction.
I love working with yarn because it is the feeling of making something and being creative.
Every time I choose a yarn to work with and sit down to start working the yarn I go into my own relaxed little world. I love all the different colors out in the world and put on yarn.
I love discovering all the amazing things that yarn can do–it can be sculptural or soft or both at once. I am endlessly amazed by the textures that can be created.
I love just the freedom working with yarn gives. The whole process of knitting is very meditative to me.
What I love most about working with yarn is getting to rub and squeeze some of the softest, smooshiest stuff ever! I also adore watching what I’m making it turn from string and sticks into something to treasure!
I just simply love yarn! I love working with yarn because of how it feels, how it smells, how you can make the most beautiful things with yarn. I can’t imagine a life without yarn, and somehow, I always, always, always, need more yarn!
I love the feel of the yarn, amazing colors, and how great it looks knitted or crocheted into a custom made item.
Yarn love comes from a strand becoming a thing. What thing? How large of a thing? A functional thing? So many choices…
