Hatshepsut –Hatshepsut (/hætˈʃɛpsʊt/;[4] also Hatchepsut; Egyptian: ḥꜣt-šps.wt “Foremost of Noble Ladies”;[5] 1507–1458 BC) was the fifth pharaoh of the Eighteenth Dynasty of Egypt. She was the second historically-confirmed female pharaoh, the first being Sobekneferu.[6] She is generally regarded by Egyptologists as one of the most successful pharaohs, reigning longer than any other woman of an indigenous Egyptian dynasty. According to Egyptologist James Henry Breasted she is also known as “the first great woman in history of whom we are informed.”[7]

Through my employer I have had the opportunity to meet a number of people, but the 2 that stand out the clearest in my mind are Tim Gunn from Project Runway (a supremely classy gentleman) and Jeannie Cooper (she played Katherine Chancellor on Young and the Restless). Ms. Cooper was a sweet, old woman, but was extremely frail. At the time I chalked it up to her age, but when she passed away only a few months later I realized she had probably been ill. I began watching Y&R when I was a kid (with my Mom) and grew up seeing her on TV, so being able to meet her was a true treasure.

I didn’t realize how expensive yarn was and thought people did this to save money but lady and hobby lobby said to relax have something to do or to make money were why people did it. I am a disabled chemist which went to school instead of worked as a single teenage mother at first and had a car wreck my last semester of college so now I live on SSI which is 750 a month and I see I have a lot of competition for this but hope you pick me to give it to as the yarn I got is to thick for what I want to do and I also have the wrong size knitting needles and crochet hook (singular for now) I want to make a basket for the yarn to go in but am having a hard time finding a YouTube video Incan see clearlynwhere the things are going in to creat a circle thing so am getting frustrated and about to buy a book so any suggestions as to what kind of book or video to watch. Would appreciate it me

One person past or present I’d like to meet.??
….that takes some thought – but my answer would be Jesus Christ! Though I “know” Him through Scripture, the thought of meeting Him in person is almost overwhelming! We know He is in each and every one of us – just waiting to be discovered – and I have! (Praise God!) but still not quite the same as meeting Him Face to Face! And I would SO love to see my wonderful Mom & Dad just one more time….though they have both been gone from this earth for years, I still miss them so very much! God Blessed me so much in giving me the Mon & Dad that I had…..in His wisdom, He gave me the PERFECT Mom & Dad . . . . . . for me. . . . . . .

I would like to meet my great grandparents that homesteaded here in North Dakota. To hear what they left behind, why they left. To know their hardships, sacrifices, their joys and sorrows while homesteading. To see how, they cooked over a fire or an old cook stove, to see if they had chickens, milked a cow, spun yarn, knitted, crocheted, sewed clothes by hand, how they washed their clothes, broke up,the land, planted their crops, and built their home. I know there’s books out there that tell these stories, but, wow, to sit across from them, hold their hand and look into their eyes while they tells their stores, would be mesmerizing!

I have a bit of a rebellious personally and I’m attracted to other rebel types who have faced impossible odds and heartbreaking outcomes. It’s through their daily experiences (as much as historians know), that have made their voices heard from the distant past to inspire us when we face oppressive individuals, captors or a hostile time in society to maintain dignity, hope, love, sacrifice for the greater good, and annihilation if they failed not knowing they would be examples for us all today. With that said I would love to meet Spartacus (former gladiator) or Leonidas I (Thermopylae) or Abraham Lincoln. I’m also a bit selfish as after meeting the above-mentioned, I would love to visit with my maternal grandparents again.

That is such a tough question!!!! I suppose it wouldn’t be one person, but perhaps a community. I so would like to see how the Christian community that formed after Jesus’ death functioned. How they got along, cared for one another, reached out . . . trouble shooter, etc. Looking at what worked positively, taking the good and then building on that, really from any situation of communities and groups to help us become better people to ourselves and others. Thank you for this wonderful giveaway. Your generosity is so very much appreciated!!!

How fun to read everyone’s answers! I think I would love to meet the average joe to lives in my favorite city to visit, London. I would just love to go to his local pub and just chat about what life is like to live there, what concerns do Londoners fret about, what’s his favorite ‘footie’ team. Just chat for a day. No fancy well known person. Just an average man. I’m afraid I would bore him because even though I live close to San Francisco, my usual thoughts are concerning what I am knitting ! ha ha or what I am reading. Nevertheless, it would be a fun afternoon. Sure it would be lovely to meet Queen Elizabeth, or Audrey Hepburn, or Jackie Kennedy. How about Anne Boleyn (tell her to run as fast as she can). But i think, if wishes were fishes, I’d like the drive down some street in London and look at the people walking by and pick a person, “You! I’d love to know what your life is like.” Probably prefer an elderly gentleman because no doubt he would have stories to tell!

I find this an intimidating question, because there are so many amazing people, but I’ll go with Daniel, from the Bible. He just did what he knew was right, no matter the consequences, and didn’t do it for glory or recognition, he just did it for his love of God, even when he was the only one. He has been very inspiring to me.

I have difficulty choosing between the living Former President Jimmy Carter and the deceased Former First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt. Jimmy Carter is a living inspiration of dedication and service to Habitat for Humanity. Eleanor Roosevelt rose above a philandering albeit famous husband to make her own mark without acknowledging the selfishness of her spouse.
Both of their dedication to the welfare of others despite their wealth is inspiring
I hope i did the rafflecopter correctly! I would love to meet my Savior Jesus Christ.

Hi, Chandi Thanks for another amazing giveaway! I would like to meet Esther, the queen in the Bible.
Carrie Fisher – BUT, here’s the caveat… I really have a tough time with this question. There are a lot of people, living and dead, who I’d like to meet, but too many times one meets a famous person or a hero/ine and realizes that the person is counting the seconds until they can get back to their private life. No matter how polite they are. No matter how much they make it seem like they want to be meeting random strangers that day… one can sense it.
So for ANY person that I could have named, I wouldn’t want to meet them in a forced situation.
