I love the wonderful smells from the kitchen, baking with my kids, and making special handmade gifts 😄
Lights, I love the lights! They remind me that the reason for the season is the light of the world!
I love having a reason to make things and give them away! And since I’ve tried using Real yarn I don’t think I can go back!! And thank you Chandi for your awesome tutorials!! Because of you I learned to knit!!
My favorite part of this time of year would be creating family traditions with my husband & our 1 year old daughter. Oh & the food.
I’m a teacher so I love Christmas break!! More time to spend home with my kids!!
I’m a teacher so I love Christmas break!
I’m sorry, this was the only way I could figure out how to leave a comment. The register wasn’t working for me, but I’d like to enter the giveaway. Also, what I love about the holidays is watching those holiday-themed movies on Lifetime and Hallmark.
I love the extra time to be with family.
Family, food and knitting!
I love that warm feeling that you get while spending time with your family and the excitement you feel when someone opens a gift you made for them
I love the magical feeling this time of year has. And I love it when I get to share it with my family. I’m also trying to teach myself how to crochet and knit so it’s been really fun this year.
I love the beutiful fall and winter colors!
What I love most about this time of year…giving. Making others smile. Love. Family. Friends.
Same, I love the happy expressions on friends faces when I give them a crocheted gift!
Love Expression Fiber Arts yarn!!!! Colors are wonderful and the texture of the yarn is amazing. I must admit that the Superwash Merino Silk Pearlescent Fingering is one of my favorites!
I agree! I haven’t found better quality or color combinations!
Have a wonderful day!
I love the lights, the atmosphere and spending time with family oh wait I forgot knitting for my loved ones 😀
I’m not sure I can pick only one thing, as this time of year is always full of good things! Fireplaces, hot cocoa, sweaters and boots, being able to spend time with family! I really don’t like the cold, but I love all the comfy ways to get warm it offers!
I love this time of year because of the crisp air, the beauty of the snow covered land and trees (when it does snow here) and the love of family.
Hey Chandi!
Would love to win some of your gorgeous yarns, couldn’t enter the giveaway through rafflecopter though. Anywho, I love the snow, I live up north. I use to love the cold too but its starting to wear on me. But I can never have winter and not have snow, it’s just so pretty to watch.
I love giving away all of the homemade gifts I spent all year making!
I love cuddling up on the couch with cocoa, a warm fireplace going, and my pretty tree to look at.
I would give it all to my lovely wife. She is constantly knitting or crocheting something in her free time, and about 80% of what she makes goes to charity. I love her and am so proud of her.
I love the Christmas season. What other time of the year are there so many songs about world peace, love, and enjoying time spent together with family and friends?
My favorite thing about this time of year is the chance to take a break from work and school, and just spend some quiet (relatively) time with family. 🙂
The thing I love most about this time of year is having an excuse to really show people how much I care about them without it seeming weird or out of place.
Taking advantage of some of the sales, and it being cold enough to wear my knits!!!
The thing I like most about this time of year is that I go to and come home from work in the dark. Not a big fan of sunlight.
These yarns are super gorgeous. <3
The sights and smells of the season. Christmas cookies, live trees, decorations, the list goes on and on.
What I love most about this time of year is the excitement that builds through the month, and the time we spend as a family on Christmas. Especially the cooking and the music. All 3 of us contribute to the holiday dinner and I just love it.
I love the spirit of this season, the good feelings it brings.
Christmas brings out the best in people. We smile more, create more, give more. Forgiveness is offered, and love is shared. We sit down to break bread and build bonds. It reminds our hearts that family and friends are there with us and for us.
My wife grew up not having Christmas, so our family tries to create new memories for her to make up for the years she went without.
My favorite thing about this time of year is remembering all of the fun and family from the years before. I love reliving the old traditions and making new ones. As a kid, I didn’t appreciate all of those things as much as I do now, of course. As a kid it was all about Santa. Now it’s all about spending time with the people I love and making them smile, and reflecting on the significance of Christ’s birth.
For me it’s all about the wonderful music. Without it I just can’t get into the spirit. I love it all, classic carols, novelty songs, jazz, blues, choral, cowboy, surf, instrumental – all of it.
As a beginner, I really like your video tutorials. Thank you.
Love all your colorways and how you present them with corresponding photos! Also, love how you’re in such great shape and modeling the knit wears!
Wha a fabulous giveaway! Dream come true!

But I would have to say… The thing I love most is sharing the Christmas Story straight from my Bible with my grandchildren. To see them taking in the most amazing gift ever given and the beginning of the grace we now have. MERRY CHRISTMAS, Chandi! ♥️
I most love the first snowfall, and curling up with my current WOP.
Summer in Australia! I love the warmth, long days, school holidays, going to the beach and Christmas dinner with family. And free time to crochet 😁
What I love most about this time of year….having all my children home and hearing their laughter!
What I love most about this season, easy, it’s the perfect time to do fiber art and crafts. The rest of the year it’s too warm to do anything with yarn, but when fall and winter comes, it is when my super power as a textile artist awakens and comes to life 😀
What I love most about this time of year is the food! I love to cook just as much as I love yarn, and some dishes are only acceptable to cook during this season!

I love that I get to spend much needed quality time with all of my family – we are all spread out throughout the country and Christmas is the one time we all get together again.
My favourite thing about this time of year is all the holiday making — crochet presents, gift wrapping, baking for family, and decorations. It’s a great time of year for a crafter!
I love cold weather and warm sweaters with hot coffee!
So many things. Hearing children’s laughter, seeing the beautiful decorations, the music and thinking up presents for family and friends.
Christmas to be honest is my least favorite. I have the serious blues, but I do love the lights and decorations that people put up.
I love the lights, the snow, having hot chocolate, making chocolate and fudge for friends and neighbours. I also love to sing with my ward choir Christmas songs. I also love curling up with yarn and a crochet hook to make things for people whether for Christmas or for some special event like the birth of a baby or a wedding.
The best thing about this time of year is family get-togethers… and hot cocoa.
Such gorgeous colors
Hey! The thing I love most about this time of year in no particular order: 1. The smells. Pine and cookies and candles burning, it gives such a cozy feeling! 2. The sounds. This time of year is currently exam season at my college, so stress levels are high. My favorite part about this time of year is looking forward to periods of relaxation. I learned to knit from my grandma when I was in elementary school, but never did much with it until this year, when I got inspired to begin anew. One of the things I look forward to when I come back from a long day of classes is sitting down and knitting.

Great thing about this season is the abundance of colors that embrace the holidays: bright, optimistic and cheerful splashes of red, green, blue, elegant silver and gold, sparkly white and ethereal grey.

I love that I get to go see my nephew, because living on the other side of the continent means I don’t get to hug him as often as the rest of his aunts and uncles!

Being together with family
What I like most about the christmas season is the feeling of it all…..not the gifts, the lights, trees, snow, and baked goods; but just the feeling of good will, kindness, laughter, and smiles that everyone has to offer freely to everyone, even strangers!
What I love about this time of year is peppermint hot chocolate and wearing knitwear!
Would love to win something. Thanks for the opportunity. So kind of you.

Trying again to win some of this luscious yarn!
It’s the start of summer here in Australia so, in theory, it should getting hot soon but so far we’ve had almost as many cold days as warm. No doubt when the heat comes it will come with a vengeance,
My favourite thing about this time of year is the very early morning just after sun up. The air is fresh and crisp and you can smell the earth and warmth. Birds are going about their business feeding, bathing, and making a ruckus. If you’re lucky you’ll see reptile warming themselves in the morning sun. A beautiful time to be alive.
I love being able to spend time with my extended family during the holidays. Especially since they don’t mind if I have a crochet project to work on! 💜😊
Well, what’s not to like about this time of the year?? Here in Australia we are thawing out from Winter and the warmth of the sun, the childhood memories, the giving of both gifts and love, the getting together of friends and families and the general joy makes this my most favourite time of the year!!!

Cindy, Would really love to win this after the horrible Birthday month I had when the Hurricane Harvey came through it has been rough, I cannot even sit on our porch swing on our back porch to crochet, for I fear I will fall, and having a stress-related stroke last year is not too easy when a Hurricane comes to Houston, Texas, and the Arthritis is getting worse, so this would make my Christmas really, really Merry!!!!!

I like sitting at home in the warm room and watch snowing outside. And then go outside to feel the snow. I hope my son will like the snow, this is the first time he meets snow.
My favorite thing about this time of year is all the traditions. I live in Norway and we have so many traditions leading up to Christmas, which makes it so much more special since we don’t have any other holidays in the autumn/winter. Advent is a huge thing, and from the first of December or the first sunday in advent (which might fall in November) it’s full on tradition time.
There’s also the snow and the general weather during winter. I’m a huge winter person, it’s my favorite season, so waking up to a foot of fresh snow, freezing temperatures and only 3-4 hours of daylight makes me so happy ♡

I love that even though there’s the hustle and bustle of folks shopping for Christmas, they also seem to slow down and take extra time to admire the lights on the houses, or going to children’s holiday concerts, or spending time watching old movies together.
What I love most about this year is donating hats to those (mostly children) in need. My family and church donates things such as clothing, toys, and other baby items to families in need who other wise wouldn’t be able to give their children presents on Christmas. My church also send care boxes through a charity called Samaritans Purse that sends care boxes to children in need that are overseas. I’ve already shipped off boxes with hats in them and now working on a gift package that will include an adorable owl hat, booties, and an owl toy that with go to a local family that is in need who has a 6 month old. Being able to make something with my own 2 hands that will go to help kids in need is a huge blessing. And I adore kids so its a win win. I hope your holiday season is filled with love, laughter, and beautiful memories.

Christmas has not been the same since I lost my Mom a year and a half ago. I’m trying, I did some baking, I had some co-workers over but made the event less festive by not having a big dinner but just ordering pizza. No presents either but we did exchange some cookies. I am looking forward to Christmas dinner with my 2 boys but no one wants presents, which is fine, just spending some time together will be nice but quiet. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

I love friends and family spending time together and including new people in our celebrations.
Because I have two children with significant special needs, the holidays are a time when we can be with family and friends who are welcoming, loving, and accepting of them. Life presents so many struggles and challenges for them, and for us as a family, and they have experienced so much rejection and criticism in their lives. The holiday season is a time to reinforce what is important in life, and to remind them of what is not. Charity, acceptance of differences, the spirit of forgiveness, and the offering of human kindness without the expectation of getting something in return. That’s what I love most about the holidays, and what encourages me to move forward in helping my children and others like them in the year ahead.
I love getting to see my family and friends, and deciding what delicious food we get to eat!!! And crafting of course!

The cold weather, so I can wear my handknits!
I love watching the anticipation on my son’s face as we near Christmas day, followed by watching his face light up when he sees whatever I’ve made for him. He has always reacted so appreciatively towards hand-made gifts. He has even begun making his own. Last Christmas he made his grandmother a scarf (his first ever crocheted project). It’s lumpy and all kinds of crooked, but it was well received and continues to be loved by her.

I think what I love most about this time of the year is christmas lights. Makes me happy to see all those colors all over because it brings back good memories of past christmases.
II love the sounds of Christmas: songs, prayers, and the wonderful laughter of children.
This time of year is so special bemuse of time with my family!
Chandi,
What I most LOVE about the holidays is the fellowship I see around every corner. We are now in an age where they are trying to tell us hate surrounds us . . . so NOT True. Every face I see, every person I meet has a welcoming smile and a kind word to say. God Bless Us All!!!!!
I love the snow, sledding and family time.
I love it when there is a bit of snow on the ground, the air is crisp and I get up early in the morning and walk my dogs along the trails by the creek. The peace and quiet is a great balance to the hustle and bustle of this time of year.
What I like most…the food! Why is it that we make certain foods only at this time of year? And getting together with family and friends.
Photographing snow on trees, tree branches. Looking at neighborhood holiday decorations, listening to migrating geese, donning layers and using crocheted blankets, hats, scare, fingerless gloves. Hot beverages are a cozy comfort, you remind yourself your inner child is alive and well as you watch vapor from breath, watching holiday classics, STILL tearing up EVERY time you hear “Little Drummer Boy”, hearing and smiling at yet another new to you version of ” Carroll of the Bells”.
I love all the warmth and love that I feel from Family and Friends and all the pretty pretty lights.
I love making things for my family & friends.
I love keeping in touch with family and friends, hearing their stories of the year and seeing photos of people I miss.

I love having our children and grandchildren from far away come to visit!
I love all the extra moments I have with my family, my parents, siblings, children and all my adorable grandchildren and my great granddaughter. This might be the last year that I have all these wonderful blessings with me again this year so I feel double
Blessed.Seeing life through each of their eyes and all the new and old wonders brings unique perspectives to my life and great adventures every day I get to be with them all. I’m so TRUELY blessed by their love.
I love just chilling out at home with the kids and my husband and not having anywhere we have to go. We spend a lot of time just chilling out at home in our PJs and doing stuff we enjoy together.
I love spending time with my mom watching holiday movies and sitting next to the fire with our respective yarn crafts. 🙂
Love the cool air, the fresh smell after newly fallen snow, the festive lights, the cheer.
Many more people walk around smiling this time of year.
I love the cool weather and decorating the house 😊
I love surprising everyone with the perfect present.
Family, celebrating the birth of our
Christmas lights, spending time with friends and family.
I love the anticipation of Christmas: making cookies with my kids and my nephews and niece, decorating the house, finding (this year making) the gift that’s just right and watching the faces of the ones I love when they open their gifts.

I love SPARKLE…..all the pretty colored lights twinkling everywhere. I love listening to my Christmas music while I decorate my house and tree. Oh, and I love this time of year because people seem to be a bit more generous with their time and generosity.
Because of the cold weather it I s the perfect time to have a set of knitting needles or crochet hook in hand. Its the perfect time to make new patterns and put my visions to product. I love to feel yarn in my fingers
I love family, food, music and knitting!
I love the spirit of goodwill.

I love snow days where I have no choice but to stay cozy and knit!
Quality time with family and friends and gift giving!
I love the joy of the seasons
I love the cooler weather. Here in central Florida it never gets truly cold for very long but I love the more temprate days and chilly nights. My cats want to snuggle in my lap and in bed. I like that it gets dark earlier and all the lights make everyone’s home look so warm and inviting.
And of course I watch all my favorite Christmas movies and specials; some of which I’ve been watching nearly all my life.
I hope everyone has a blessed Christmas and a happy new year 🎅🏻🎄
I love the peace that comes after all the parties, the socializing, the end of the college term, when the deadlines are met, when people have some time off to relax before the new year begins.
The lights, the smells, the food, family gatherings, friends –everything!
Congratulations to whom ever wins!
I love going to stores and malls, even grocery stores and knowing that almost everyone around me is buying something or planning to make something for someone they love. Even when people are unpleasant it may be because they are stressed about getting that perfect something for someone. I love choosing something off trees in the mall and knowing I am helping one mother give gifts to her children or helping make a child’s dream come true. I love LOVE at Christmas and the way it surrounds us even more than usual.
Peppermint mocha, roaring fire, family and knitting!
Thanks for a great giveaway! The best thing about this time of year is the panic knitting.
Cookies, cooking, and crochet!
I’m lucky I get to count my blessings any time of the year not just during the Christmas Season. My family, my friends and all the things live has brought me and taught me.
This time of the year, I love getting together with family and friends and cuddling with my kitty as I knit 🙂
I love all your beautiful yarns and I am so appreciative of the giveaways every month! One of these days I may even win something. I love spending time with family and friends at this time of year and being able to provide home-baked goodies to them. I wish you both a spectacular Christmas and a joyful and prosperous 2018! Joyeaux Nöel et bonne année.
I love the lights, the food, the break from mosquitos! I live in South Texas and it has finally gotten cool enough that I don’t have to worry about donating a pint of blood every time I step outside.
My uncle is a talented guitarist, and can play anything by ear. Every Christmas, the extended family gets together and we sing all the Christmas carols we know, then we move on to popular music (mostly from the 60s and 70s). It’s not unusual for us all to be still singing at 2 in the morning.
This will be the second year that I am knitting and crocheting Christmas gifts for the family. I love to cosy up on a cold day and play with fibres!
Preparations for giving to the ones I️ Love. The beginning of some cooler weather. (Phoenix) And all the beautiful lights.

lot of pretty colors… what do i like about this time of year…? things aren’t the same as it use to be…i always liked getting together with family and enjoying time together…its really hectic now days…..times have changed…Christmas doesn’t mean the same to kids now days like it did in the 60’s and 70’s and even 80’s..still enjoy family being together though and gift giving…once the chaos of shopping is over and the rush to get everything and it all settles down its like a different time….can actually enjoy it all …again…

And eating diner with my 92yrs old mother 🙂
family is my favorite thing about the holidays!
The best thing about this time of year is baking and roasting in the oven. Atlanta is too hot in spring and summer and early fall to do things like roast beef or pork roast. But in the colder months I love nothing more than putting a roast in the oven with herbed root veggies and cheese biscuits. Yum ! Other favs are organic purple cornbread, gluten-free brownies, and meat pies. My husbands people were from Quebec, so in the winter I love to bake a traditional tortierre–a spicy meat pie with both pork and beef .
I love the fact that the season seems to make most people happier. You see far more smiling faces than the rest of the year.
I think what I like the most about this time of year is when I get to see family or friends who I haven’t seen in a long time 🙂
Watching my oldest kid unwrap his gifts, it’s the most wonderful time of the year!!!

P.S. My favorite things about the Christmas season: celebrating it as the biggest birthday party for the most important person, Christ, especially with music, good food (cookies!), and seeing dear ones.
hope i could win 🙂
I love how nice it is to be snuggly inside something warm (a blanket, a scarf, etc.) this time of year. January and February gets too cold to enjoy even that, but December is cold without being bone-chilling, which makes snuggly things nice. 🙂
Curling up with my dog and some yarn–he tolerates cuddling better in cold weather and sometimes looks like he’s watching me crochet!
I love baking Christmas cookies.
I love the music and the lights.
The first snowfall, with a crackling fireb and a Shawl in Dewy DK yarn in a stunning shade of blue on the needles.

It is a wonderful feeling to be able to finally complete the goals and make sure that the projects are done!
Love knitting in the quiet morning, with the tree lit, and a nice fire and cup of coffee — thinking of all the family getting together for holiday fun.
It is harder to get excited at Christmas. All my family live many miles away🙁
I love the festive feel of the season that enhances the gatherings of friends and family. It is also the only time of year that I enjoy cooking. With a gathering of 20 for dinner and gift exchange, my life is full and satisfying. What a wonderful way to end the year and begin again for next year.
Giving away my knitting gifts and see my family and friends happy to get them.
Christmas is all about spreading love and joy to me. I love seeing excited faces on family and friends all through the season
For me, it’s summer in New Zealand- it’s a bit warm so not too good for knitting or crochet however it’s a great time to work out what I’m going to do when the weather cools down a bit and to tidy the stash or add to it! Christmas means catching up with family, eating too much and relaxing.
Seeing friends and family, and making gifts for them!
What I love about this time of the year the most is that all the family tries to get together. I love listening to all the adult children talking to their siblings about things that happened as they were growing up.
I love Christmas! The atmosphere, christmas lights, writing cards, choosing a tree and finding gifts for loved ones, and cosy knitting and crochet time too!
What happens if I don’t like this time of the year? Does my entry still count? Xmas make me deeply depressed, the cold makes me deeply depressed, I am just miserable!
What I love most this time of year is spending time with my family

I love the baked goodies this time of year. This is also when I really get into my knitting and crochet.
I love that my kids are out of school, and I am off of work. By December, we are all exhausted from school, homework, activities…it is nice to refresh before starting all over again.
I love celebrating the season with friends and family. I also love hiking in the wintertime while the world seems to be at rest. And I love to knit by the fire!

That aside, I love the calming of our schedules around the holiday. It allows us to have our evenings together, time to be involved in preparation for the holiday.
I love the twinkling lights, and the sweets of course!
I love the family being all together, the special foods that we prepare together and the pure joy on my grandsons’ faces throughout the entire visit but especially on Christmas morning when they see all the gifts Santa brought to Nana’s house. I know it won’t last forever because in the future they will want to stay home on Christmas Day but I’m enjoying it while it lasts! And lucky Barbara, last month’s winner!

My favorite thing(s) about this time of year are hoodies, leggings, and pumpkin spice! 💗
I love this time of the year because of the lights that shine through the darkness, because it’s a time for gathering one’s family and friends, because of the sounds of walking through fresh snow and the smell of frost.
What I love most about Christmas is that the light comes into the world when it is the darkest. This has to do with my beliefs, that Jesus gave up his being God to become a tiny human baby in order to save us. And it means that candles, the symbol of the star, and everything that brings light is very important to me in the darkness of winter time.
I love spending time and making memories with my friends and family. And now the grandchildren: seeing the holidays through their eyes, full of wonder and magic.
Being with family talking, catching up, playing board games, … That’s what I enjoy the most, because they live somewhat far away and we see them only around the holidays. So that makes it all the more special.

What’s not to love about this time of year! There are so many great things to love but I would have to say the thing I love most about this time of year is the unity it creates. Family that can feel long lost magically find their way back to each other and that, I think, is pretty spectacular.

Christmas lights, stollen, baking cookies, spending time with family and yarn on the needles — these are my favorite things this time of year!
I got dumped on Christmas morning last year and had to move out quickly. I am walking away from Christmas this year by choice. I will go to mass with my father…visit my mother at the cemetery. I will drop off the presents I have chose for my sisters but will not stay for any familial obligations (Thanksgiving almost killed me). I will then go see a movie…I believe I will go see Jumanji. Yes. I am getting professional help and all is a-ok. But what made me smile this year was everyone said “Merry Christmas ” not “Happy Holidays .” It was a spark of the good ‘ok days when no one said HH but always “Merry Christmas .”
I love the snow! ❄️ It motivates me to crochet!😊

This time of year has always been my favorite. I love that it gets chilly outside, but it’s made warm by the lights and excitement and family. People start thinking about one another more. I love the excitement on my babes’ faces on Christmas morning and then when all the excitement is over, the change to a new year. Shedding all of last year’s sorrows and reflecting on the memories and facing a new year with hope. People change this time of year and I love when it’s for the better.

Sometimes it’s so hot and humid here during the long summers, we don’t go outdoors. Winter is exciting!
