Favorite base has been – for ages! – good ol’ superwash merino. That having been said, I have trouble resisting silks…

I love working with you yarn. I have used two skeins so far, but have 6 more waiting to be used. Love your color choices.

Dewy DK is my favorite base … it’s SO squishy and just a dream to work with.

My favorite type of yarn is your Merino Silk Pearlescent yarns. I love the sheen and they are very soft. They have their own glow and make the things I knit with them look very special.

I love superwash merino wool sock yarn because it is soft to the touch and silky when you have knitted with it. Blue and green are my favourite colours so anything that mixes these are a total hit with me.

My favorite yarn base is the dewy DK, and I pretty much love all the colors in the cooler (green/blue/purple) and neutral shades.

I think the shimmering cashmere fingering in mocha is tied with peacock feather for my favorite!

I love pretty much all yarn bases. I’m a yarn-aholic. However, if I had to choose one, I would say your Dewy DK is my favorite. It is so squishy, soft, and wonderful! I love tons of colors when it comes to yarn; however, I tend to gravitate towards blues, burgundy, and pinks.

I have never worked with silk yarn and I would love to make the Peacock shawl with your peacock yarn.

I love your yarns. Almost every colorrway. Your color sense is wonderful. The yarn base(s) I love the most are your yak-silk lace (my absolute favorite, and I would cry so much if it ever went away!) and shimmering cashmere. I would probably love the wools and wool blends too, but I have an allergy to wool that causes me trouble. It’s the lanolin in wool. But ever since I found your yak-silk, I don’t care if I can’t have wool yarns anymore. Yak-silk is about the most perfect yarn base ever. When I saw there’s yak-silk in the current giveaway, I just about bounced hard enough to fall out of my chair! lol

Everything is so pretty! I love almost all colors and bases at EFA, but if I had to pick one I’d say the DK last time was great! I haven’t tried lace, fingering and aran yet, would really love to! I love all colors (again), especially those that remind you of the sun and water and trees. Big thanks to EFA for doing this giveaway, whatever the result!

I love any blue colorways. As for a base? Just about any squishy yummy yarn will do. I find a yarn for the pattern OR vice versa.
If I can’t find the weight, I try double or triple a lighter weight. Or dye a white….but I usually find something!

Sparkling silk- I love the way it shimmers and could fall in love with lots of the colors!

I don’t have one favorite yarn base. I like soft wool, bamboo, silk and soft cotton – depends on how good of a drape and how soft the yarn is. My favorite colors are shades of purple, teal and earthy browns and greens because those colors just feel right to me.

My favorite color is cat naps! I love green and gray is one of my go to colors, goes with just about anything!

Of all the yarn bases I’ve knitted or crocheted with, my favorite is your SUPERWASH MERINO SILK PEARLESCENT WORSTED. I have never been disappointed with the yarn for any project I’ve done. My favorite colors are subdued hues of olive green, browns, deep dark burgundy, and rusty oranges. Yup basically an autumn person. It’s my favorite time of year and I love living in an area where I can see all those lovely colors naturally, and enjoy them in my own creations also.

I love the 100% Mulberry Silk Worsted yarn that was used for the March 2016 Yarn Club! I love the squishiness of it – it is so soft – have never felt anything like it! I also like the way it takes the color! If you sold that in more colors, I would be in so much trouble!!

I guess I would have to say my favorite yarn that I have worked with is acrylic. I have not really worked with much else. My favorite color would have to be a green, teal, or purple.

My favorite yarn base is your sport tencel because I LOVE the luster and it’s so so soft. I don’t have many colors yet but favorite so far is the Birch Forest Sunset. However I love Fool’s Gold too and the ever so slight hint of pink in it.

My Favorite colour…? Well…my colour preferences change with the wind…there are days I love earthy tones, and others, jewel tones. So while I can’t nail down a colour preference…I will say, I always love a glitter base….

I want to knit with ALL the blues! I like cotton a great deal, its a by product of being in Texas.

I love chunky yarns and have recently fallen for baby alpaca because they are SOOOOOOOO soft! I generally tend to lean more towards the cooler colors; blues, greens, purples. I’ve also really come to love colors blended with white (like your “Passionate” colorway). 🙂

I am a new knitter but have crocheted a little bit longer. I haven’t got to experiment with luxury yarns, so the best I have used and I really like it, is a merino superwash from a local yarn shop. I especially love the ones with mixed colors! I love the surprise of seeing how it works up.

I like to use cotton or wool. Cotton because it’s better for warm weather. My favorite color combo is burgundy/red, orange, yellow, so I tend to start with those colors.

It is so hard to choose a favorite! I guess I would choose Old Library on dewy DK. I would love to make a cowl or shawl out of it!!! 🙂

I love wool and wool blend yarns. I fell in love with wool the first time I blocked a knitting project that I had used wool for. The way it opens up is amazing. I love using all different yarn bases though. I am most drawn to blues and green but I will drool over most colors.

I tend to like alpaca fiber yarn. It’s soooo soft. And I like blues.

I love to work with most worsted weight yarns in the bright or pastel colors because they feel nice and make me happy t my soul.

Hi Chandi! I can’t comment on my favorite yarn base because I just can’t decide, but I LOVE the Plum Blossom color. I have such a weakness for flower-inspired colors, and the deep purple and pinks are just to die for.

Once again, an amazing giveaway! Love all the beaded yarns! I’ve been trying my own hand at beading and lace-work and would love to work with some of your beautiful yarns. I usually work with fingering weight merino yarns, and my colours are usually in the jewel tones!

My favourite so far has been the Teal Geode Resiliant superwash merrino sock yarn but I love any yarns which are in green or blue hues. They go so well together and they’re my favourite colours. The Russian Blue is so pretty too!

My favorite base is recycled silk, usually in neutral or jewel tones, mostly for the texture and the vibrancy silk brings to any project!

My favorite color : Purple especially the reddish purples. I already crocheted a queen sized blanket in multi shades of purple. I love the feel of the silk blends.

Resilient sock yarn is my favorite. Love how it feels and the finished product. My sister lost her hair due to chemo. I made her a Sockhead Hat and she loves it. She says it keeps her head warm, but is not too heavy so she can wear it all the time. She gphas requested a couple more!

I love your silk worsted/bulky when you do have it. I think one of the first ones I ordered was a beautiful green. It was thick and shiny and scrumptious. I have used it sparingly because I know it will never be again. I make little frogs http://www.etsy.com/shop/froghollowcreek and use that for their eyelids. There’s different shades and it works nicely. I love thicker yarns that are made of silk. It’s like in the Hobbit movie with Golum..”my precious”! Hee hee!

My favorite is super wash worsted wool in boy colors. I knit mittens for Christmas projects where every child gets a hat and pair of mittens. One of the directors told me they are always short on mittens for older boys. She said every one likes to knit with “pretty” colors. So, I knit for the left out boys.

I love merino, but truthfully I’m usually using acrylic, I do a lot of knitting and crocheting for children and it makes for easy wash and wear for the parents.

I love your superwash merino silk pearlescent. Such a joy to work with, and it feels like heaven when wearing.

Loving the sock yarn, but as always your colors are so wow they are hard to choose from.

Alpaca is my favorite, but living in the South I tend to use more cotton/ bamboo. As for color, all of your colors are gorgeous and I have a hard time picking. Thanks for the givaways!

I love silk/merino blend in sunset colors

I haven’t had much of a chance to try other yarn types yet. But I LOVE good ole cotton yarn! Its easy to work with and it is super soft. I do know that Im not too much of a fan of knitting with thin yarn unless I can double it and knit with 2 colors at once. My favorite colors are anything earthy. I LOVE earth tones!!

I love working with Merino but Bamboo/Silk comes in a close second! I love the fall of merino and it’s so nice to knit up. I have always been about color, all colors but my daughter encouraged me to do some neutrals recently and I am enjoying the change. I want to get some of your Yak Natural next. Gosh – I’m still such a newbie that I can’t even comment accurately as I don’t know all the different types available to me. Currently, however, because we have relocated from the coast to WNC this past year and I “survived” my first mountain winter on our homestead, I am digging the warmth that wool gives. I’ve made a scarf and some ear warmers, but my next tasks include beenies and socks – yummy!! I love lots of different colors, but YESTERDAY my first grandchild was born and, in honor of our little princess, Sophie Hazel, I’ll say my favorite color is pink . . . .any shade 🙂

I love working with natural fibers, primarily cotton. As I don’t have much experience with wool. I tend to gravitate towards more earthy tones with a splash of coordinating brighter accent color.

I love all yarns that feel really soft and squishy. I especially enjoy working with merino and silk blends because they look and feel so wonderful.

Right now I am currently swooning over the Blackened Bronze colouurway. It’s so beautiful and earthy. I just want to knit that up into a sweater.

I like the beads on silk, because it adds another dimension to crochet and because I never get to work with it. I love all the different colorways, especially the peacock.

I would lovelovelove to see the Frosted Freesia on the Merino Silk Pearlescent Fingering (whew! what a mouthful!) or the Icicle, Moments, or Silver Mist – love the laceweight, but the fingering just gives a little bit more to hold onto : ) Most of all, the shimmer of the Pearlescent is just so lovely (swoons . . .)

Merino in light blue, because it’s easy for me to use and the blue is my favorite color as it reminds of baby boy blue, blue eyes and the ocean!

I’ve recently fallen for a combination yarn of bamboo, silk and cotton called CoSiBa. I knit a pair of boyshorts for my daughter in a celtic rib pattern and have started a pair for myself, in heather grey and autumn orange.

I love to knit socks so my favorite yarn is merino wool sock yarn. And my favorite colors are blue.

I love the color ways, when I get them on the sock base I tell my self I will have beautiful socks ( someday bc I don’t knit as fast as I shop), but the hats knitted with the dk get use and the pearlescent worsted feels great to knit with. I do prefer knitting to crochet because I don’t have to look hard at my work to get the stitches worked.

I like purples and blues, and purple-blues, but I also like reds, pinks, and purple-blue-green. I like lots of colors, that makes it more fun. I like working with cashmere, but perhaps I’m the only one in the world who doesn’t want to wear it, because it’s usually itchy. But then, as soon as I get a favorite, I see something else that changes my mind and becomes my new favorite. I like buying yarn, but I sometimes have trouble finding a home for the finished work. Oh well.

I love chunky yarns that give loft and texture without a ton of weight. Colors depend on the occasion.

Due to my sensitive skin, I prefer merino or merino/silk blends, especially for garments near my neck or face. One time, I bought a beautiful skein of merino/silk/cashmere blend dyed with deep reds and yellows. It was so soft and gorgeous, perfect for a shawlette. I prefer deep blues and greens, especially variegated. 🙂
