Mostly, the yarn … of course!
Oh my goodness!! What a beautoful collection of colors. Its a smidge like skittles in a bowl.😊🥰💕
June is my birth month, it would be a sweet surprise. 😉😊
New patterns and new yarns
This collection makes me want to lay with the yarn, it looks so yummy.
I get excited about crafting when I see ideas from designers, like you. I get inspired and think that I could do that. I love to give handmade gifts.
My yarn stash is so bug I will never be able to use it but I still purchase because yarn is my vice. (It could be worse!)
Textures, colors and how they all come together to make beautiful garments to wear or to give.
Love feeling the yarn go through my fingers and see how the piece is growing 🥰
I love colors! They bring such joy, whether it is paint, yarn or whatever, I love it colorful!
Can’t sing. Can’t dance. Can’t paint. Can’t music. Can’t poem. But I can use a couple of sticks to help yarn sing and dance and paint and music and poem and that excites me. These gorgeous colors have so much energy, they truly capture the excitement of our favorite summer activities and treats: cookouts, beaches, fairs and festivals, fresh fruit galore, and so much more.
Finding something new & different to make. I don’t follow the crowd, I don’t want to make what everyone else is doing.
I love making beautiful things that me and my loved ones can enjoy
I love finding a way to express myself and knowing I created this project.
I adore making new projects. Now I’ve began making clothes and would love to learn to make socks. My current wip is a summer tshirt! I’ve frogged it and am re-making it to fit me better. Your yarns are so yummy! I would love to work with them.
Honestly I get excited about making an item from scratch. Watching a shawl or scarf or other item grow from what was a bundle of yarn is just amazing. Plus seeing the different designs up close just makes it more fun!
Seeing something and visualizing something I can create gets me excited! I usually start with the framework from something I like the look of and change it up a little to put my own spin on it. Could be a crochet blanket, knitted socks or a chicken coop! Everything is fun and I am lucky to be able to share my time doing them with my other half 🙂
Lately, it is experiencing the colors and the luxurious feel of EFA yarn that makes me excited about knitting. Just enjoying the process. Creating something beautiful and useful is an added bonus.
Easy question! Your yarn. I see your yarn and look through your patterns for a match. If I can’t find a match I buy it anyway because you never know. I have way more yarn then patterns.
I am the same way.
I love the idea of taking something plain or flat, and giving it shape and beauty. It can be yarn, or fabric, or paint, pencils… Even dough for bread in the kitchen! It’s especially fun for me to watch my children also create, and to see their young minds and fingers do amazing things.
Crafting is so very relaxing for me. Crochet or knitting, there’s a rhythm in it that I find enjoyable. And of course seeing your project grow and the yarn isn’t just yarn anymore, I’ve made it to something. I also find it tremendously enjoyable to gift my creations to people who appreciate it and enjoy what I’ve made 😊. Thank you Chandi.
Ii get excited about brightly colored yarn and fun patterns that make pretty and useful things!
Making pretty and functional things! It is also like therapy for me, I really do not know how I would do without it! Happy summer we are getting our first 90 degree day today.
I love watching the surprised expression on someone’s face when they open a gift I knitted or crocheted just for them!
I love watching projects go from a picture in my mind to reality as they go from a simple cast on to a finished object!
I’m not sure if excited is the word I’d use. I enjoy trying out new patterns and yarns. I think passionate is the word I’d use. If I find something beit yarn or a pattern or fabric that peaks my interest I become passionate about it and want to share my new obsession with others. Yet sometimes I want to keep it all to myself.
I get excited about nearly all aspects of crafting (knit and crochet). I get excited when I find an interesting, beautiful, or unique pattern; When I find a beautiful yarn, or a new blend; and I love the satisfaction of finishing a project! Though, I must admit, occasionally I start getting a “crafter’s block” on some larger projects when I feel like I’m not making progress, but that’s to be expected on occasion and is part of the process.
Taking string and creating something truly unique and beautiful with it.
What gets me exited about crafting? Everything from picking the project to checking my stash to going and buying what I need and then the process to the finished product. 🌸
Relaxation. I get time off from screen and logic and start my creative brain.
I get excited about crafting when the perfect pattern and perfect yarn align… it’s like when the planets align and angels sing and I want to drop everything and dive in!
Yes!! That’s the magic 🪄
Love the creativity that a yarn gives
I love color and I love being creative with beautiful, colorful yarn. It makes me feel so energized.
je participe toujours de jolies photos
Yarn arts is my therapy. It has helped me to calm and quiet my mind and feed my creative side. It’s been a journey to say the least and I’ve learned so much along the way; not just about yarn, knitting, and crocheting, but a lot about myself.
Me too! I like to say that I take the knots inside me and tie knots in yarn instead. It’s so cool to see the negative energy inside turned into something beautiful and useful on the outside!
What beautiful 🧶
The yarn gets me excited to craft!
The whole process of finding and deciding on a pattern and yarn base is exciting. If I’m ordering the yarn online, the antication of its arrival has that excitement too. Lastly, knowing that the finished project will go to someone who appreciates the quality and craftiness is both, exciting and gratifying.
Your videos inspire me to want to knit all the beautiful shawls you have. Also I love your yarn colors. They are beautiful.
The most exciting part of crafting is the POSSIBILITY! That even when projects don’t go to plan, there’s ALWAYS the possibility that through a bit of creative problem solving (and sometimes a little luck), you can still make something beautiful and unique to you!
Learning a new craft or new techniques for an old one; experimenting in design; playing with colors or being able to work with soft, squishy yarn; making something that I know someone will enjoy.
Knitting is how I de-sress.
Being surrounded by lovely fibers and the beautiful items created from them.
Creating something out of nothing
The beautiful, soft texture and colors of the yarn and looking for a design pattern are all inspirational and so are the people who provide them. I also gift my items so that gets me inspired to get it done!
I get excited in the design process of crochet. Deciding what colors and their placement is the most enjoyable part…then creating the piece from a ball of yarn is so rewarding.
I enjoy being able to make something (and adapt if necessary) for myself with either my sewing machine or knitting needles. Lots of good satisfying feels when a garment fits perfectly.
I love trying new things and recently crocheting has become a great activity for me. It calms me down when I am not in the best mood, It inspires me to try new techniques as well.
All those pinks! Be still my beating heart!
I love the process of manipulating things into something beautiful or useful (or, ideally, both!). Whether it’s paper, yarn, fabric, or something else entirely, it’s lovely to watch the change happen and know you’ve been the one to make it.
I used to think I couldn’t do anything crafty. In fact my self deprecating attitude towards crafts was a bummer. That is, until I found your website and started watching podcasts on line. . Now, I can’t miss a live Tuesday podcast and even watch the how to videos so I can draw inspiration from what you are creating. Thank you for your strength and knowledge. You’re the best. The photography is excellent as well. What a team!
Watching something develop as you go along, and the sense of satisfaction when you have completed it. And the fun of doing it all again with something new.
Crochet started as my Covid craft. I love how it relaxes me and allows me to be creative in my own way.
I love watching the development of something wonderful out of beautiful yarn using either just needles or a hook with my own hands.
I love seeing something come alive under my hands!
Completed the Lato shawl CAL last month. Loved every moment of it!
Omg look at those colours! Wow 👌
What gets me excited is the endless possibility of it all when it comes to knitting and crocheting- there’s so much to learn, to try, to put my own twist on. Knowing that each stitch is a labour of love, that everything is unique and once in a lifetime.
There’s nothing quite like taking a gorgeous skein of yarn and making something just as gorgeous. Time is never squandered when playing with fiber.
New project ideas!
Everything about yarn, threads and fabric – the feel, the colours, deciding what to make and seeing something beautiful emerge as I work, even if it doesn’t turn out exactly as I envisaged. The process itself is soothing, relaxing and makes me so happy – I couldn’t do without it.
Planning a new project is the best part about crafting.
The sensation of creating something with your hands, the expectation of the result, to me while knitting or crocheting is like doing magic, seeing how the yarn little by little transform with my help into something you can wear is amazing 😍
Using my own hands to make something: is truly a rewarding experience. It doesn’t matter how simple or complicated it is. Accomplishment.
The feel of the yarn, the colours, the matching of yarn & pattern, watching an item emerge from the needles, discovering how something new goes perfectly with something already in my wardrobe … everything, really :o)
To be able to take a ball, or several balls, of yarn and create something from scratch that is beautiful in colour, in style, and pattern is very exciting to me. My next project is to make socks and I see some sock yarn in your giveaway. I love your yarn colours, particularly those blues and greens. The light and dark teal hues make me want to buy them all, just to have them close to me!
What gets me excited about crafting is being part of the creative process that includes yarn makers, pattern designers and a crocheter to produce something beautiful, functional and comforting.
It’s relaxing.
I love colorful yarn and knitting shawl and shirts
I feel connected to women who lived centuries before me. Tradition.
I love knitting or crochet. Because it makes me relax, calm and happy. When I get anxious or nervouse or sad I always knitt and pray.I love embroidery too. And now I ‘m knitting something special for my nice..
I always love your patterns and yarns they are gorgeous. Hope one day I can afford to buy your yarns.
Thank you Candy for your free patterns.
Have a nice week end
I love color and making things with different colors inspires me! Then texture is next. It has to match my mood or colors or intent with what I am making. I love watching the glorious colors grow into something, a sweater, blanket, cowl or a hat. I am even happy thinking about it so I will stop and go and work on my current crochet tank top in a beautiful silvery silk with a wonderful drape that I can’t wait to wear!
The proces of creating makes me very excited. All those little stiches together make such beautiful things. I don’t know how many stiches I already made in my life, it must be millions, billions of perhaps even trillions 🙂
What gets me excited about crafting? The color, the feel of the yarn, the excitement of creating something tangible and useful.
The satisfaction of creating something beautiful ( ok ..well …maybe not always…) but i try ! 🙂
What gets me excited about yarn. Well it’s the colours and the feel of it in my fingers. If I’m feeling down just looking at my vibrant yarn cheers me up. I love the way that it brings joy to other people when I have made things whether it’s crochet or knitting.
Knitting and.crocheting
gives me such pleasure. I hate to be idle and using these beautiful yarns to create something beautiful instead of playing on my I phone when I have to wait for an appointment is very gratifying.
I just love this calm, cozy place I get to when I sit down with a project and start to count – single, double crochet, puff or popcorn, chains…
The feeling of yarn through the fingers, the clicking of the needles while creating something that is beautiful and stuns all those who cast an eye upon project! The colours and completion! Thanks for all your amazing yarns!
I love to knit and I love to give the things I knit to the ones I love. Spread the love!
This month’s colors are just amazing and the best ever. I just love tonal colors. They give depth to the yarn creations. Thank you for the experience. Another fantastc Tim creation. Bravo 🎉!!
That I can make something from scratch is exciting enough, even better when it’s something pretty or useful that makes someone else – or myself – smile
Expressiom Fiber Arts Team ia amazing to work with!! These colors are ALWAYS so BEAUTIFUL!!!! It gets my creative juices flowimg.
Unforgantanly Ive never seen an unboxing of the monthly giveawat. If I ever won I would for sue post my amazing giveaway!!!
Being surrounded hy all the lovely colors of yarn is exciting
Beautiful products
Being able to create beautiful and bespoke things to use and or wear made to fit perfectly. I just thrive on seeing my work modelled and loved by recipients and of course being able to wear my creations myself
It keeps me feeling productive and makes my soul content
I get most excited when I see my project take its form and with every row finished, my confidence grows. I have also learned to be happy even with minor mistakes I my have made along the way. It is a work of art created with my own hands. Thank you so much for your supportive and encouraging videos plus your beautiful yarn!!
I have so many crochet projects in my head and not enough time to do them 🙂
I crave the peace and satisfaction I get when knitting. Knitting makes everything better!
Crocheting has given me a new release or happy place from the galloping madness of the world at the moment. After not crocheting since my teens I took it up again during the pandemic lockdowns and love starting something new that I’ve never tried before and the thrill of completion and gifting it to family and friends. I’ve saved so many patterns on my Pinterest page I’m going to have to live to 300+ to make them all lol. Also started a page @craftitkiwi on FB and IG
Crafting is so relaxing and your videos inspire me to want to knit and crochet all the beautiful shawls. I love your yarn colors.
When I have a vision and a plan (thank you for the inspiration and patterns), knitting/crocheting itself is the most relaxing thing for me. Seeing the project grow and the joy when my loved ones receive something unique and made with love is exciting <3
Seeing different colorurs become a harmonious whole in the finished garment.
Knitting makes me feel complete!
Seems I need to keep my hands busy, knitting or crocheting! Been going thru “older” stash. Keeping what I like, planning projects for said yarn, giving remaining to other crafting friends! Win win!
I love making things to gift and seeing the look in the recipient’s eyes when they receive it. It brings me so much joy.
The joy of creativity, making something completely unique from yarn, fabric or paint, beautiful things to wear or use that is unlike anyone else’s.
To create something from scratch. It is so amazing that I can do that.
I am a maker at heart. I am always happy when I am creating something. Thank you for your encouragement!
My favorite thing about crafting is that I can see an object being created row after row until the last stitch.
The other aspect that I specialy like is the calm that I feel when knitting or crocheting. It’s always very mediative and soothing.
Oh my goodness. Those colors are what gets met excited about crafting. The yarn usually tells me what it wants to become.
The selection of yarn and pattern to create something special makes for an exciting time! Pure joy…
The joy of watching something grow in my hands as I work. The opportunity to pick up yarn, paints, or other items and spend some quiet time with them, my mind free to wander and relax.
The beautiful colors and soft textures excite the creative urge in me. Whether it’s yarn or material I see the potential for making something beautiful I can use or wear.
Just looking at the beautiful colors, touching the yarn and then creating something splendid out of it brings me joy. The cherry on the cake? Gifting my creation to someone who truly appreciates it and loves it as much as I do!
What excites me about Spring: watching nature wake up and be vibrant. Watching the squirrels chase each other in their dances of love. Watching the fragrant flowers arise from the warming earth and bloom
Crafting gets me excited! Using my brain in a way that is enjoyed so much, I lose track of time. Watching a project go through the stages to the finished item, it’s REWARDING.
Thank you for everything you all do.
Crochet, mejora mi salud, calidad de vida, satisface seguir a diseñadoras talentosas que enseñan nuevas técnicas, variedades de hilos, videos y patrones que contribuye a mí emprendimiento social con otras crochetetas.
Why do I knit or crochet? I can take some beautiful yarn, madly wave one or two sticks around for a few weeks, and end up with something even more beautiful and useful.
Making something everyone can use, I love to crochet.
I just love that i have something to do.
Where I’m good at doing.
Or want to learn new things..
and it creates something to wear or play with =)
The peace it brings to my mind and soul. Truly enjoy it going from nothing to something and each project teaches me something new.
For me I think it’s just the creating. I like making something out of yarn. And also wearing it or gifting it and knowing I made that out of a ball of yarn!
It relaxes me.
I get excited about the wonderful new possibilities that I can create with yarn and the peaceful process of making new things. It is a wonderful way to spend my time.
I agree with others who say that crafting is relaxing and therapy. It is like second nature for me because I have been crafting my whole life. I love the deep red colors of this month’s giveaway. Thanks for the opportunity to win such a gorgeous prize!
Playing around with fun materials gets me excited about crafting – trying to figure out something new-to-me.
I get excited about crafting because it gives me “me time” and allows me to make something that you can’t buy in stores. It’s also a great feeling of satisfaction when you complete a project. Crafting is definitely food for my soul 💗
I love watching things be transformed into something else — like yarn into a sweater — before my very eyes and watching it come together in my hands. It’s such a satisfying feeling to create. Also, of course, playing with all that delightfully squishy, wonderful yarn…
It’s difficult to name just one thing that gets me excited about crafting. I mostly knit and crochet, so I love the textures and colors of yarn. Even if I’m not the biggest fan of casting on (I’m very bad at counting lol) I do love how it feels to start a new project. And as I get further into it, actually begin to feel the fabric that I’m creating, that’s it’s own little boost of excitement.
Seeing the finished project keeps me casting on more.
Creating something new that I can wear
What gets me excited about crafting? The sense of accomplishment is part of it. Sometimes I would consider crafting more calming than exciting…and calmness is something I can appreciate (and need).
The exciting thing about crafting is that you have the chance to make something unique and original.
Greetings to all of the EFA team, and happy birthday to you! I NEED to knit and crochet because it’s my only way to get rest of my handicapped daughter. I also love the feeling of quality yarn (never use anything with acrylic and poly-).
12 years is a comleted spiritual circle so I wish you with love happy next 12!
Each morning sunrise as it means I have time to knit before others get up.
When I see new colors I imagine what I could make
Having a fun project on my needles, especially something colorful I’ll get to wear when it’s done!
I love the bolder, brighter colors of summer!
It gives me time for myself that I never get otherwise. I love to crochet, watching the yarn and colors come together and take shape is so rewarding and relaxing.
I love thinking about all the possibilities.
Beautiful yarn always gets my creative juices flowing! Soft, squishy merino or something with a touch of luxury like cashmere or yak always feel good in my hands as I knit or crochet and makes the world of difference.
I get excited when I find the perfect pairing of pattern and yarn, and then find the perfect person to gift the finished item to!
What gets me excited about crafting is the community of crafters that is so supportive. Most of us have never met in person but through social media we can admire and be inspired by so many talented people. There are also many groups where you can ask a question about a technique you’re unfamiliar with and get answers almost immediately. Those same people will also cheer on your progress and encourage you when you’re ready to give up.
That, and all the yummy yarns that are available now.
LITERALLY EVERYTHING. Especially nature.
Being able to make things to give away to family, friends and for charity.
Creative outlet when the day job is all strict protocol.
I am new to knitting so I get very excited about learning new stitches and trying out a beautiful pattern. Your yarns are so gorgeous.
Yarn makes me so happy!! Also, I’m a therapist and knitting keeps me sane! It helps me unwind and discharge all the emotions I shouldn’t carry. I love your beautiful yarns and wish I could afford to use even more than I already do! Thank you for these amazing giveaways!!!
The joy of knowing that someone will receive whatever I’m making and know that I care about them and that I was loving on them while I made it – that’s what excites me about crafting! Nearly everything I make is for someone else. The feel of the yarn in my fingers while I work is my simple pleasure too! Sometimes I think I’ve become a yarn snob. 🤭
I totally am a color person and your yarn is a tangible expression of that love.
Hi Chandi,
I hope you are well. I love creating something pretty either for me or for gifting. My favorite things to make are shawls or delicate scarves but I am beginning to concentrate more on making wearable articles of clothing such as sweaters. I have yet to try colorwork. Must. Try. Soon. 🙂
The old school ability to make something by hand and seeing it slowly move toward its finish.
I love I can make something with my hands that I can give as gifts for my friends and relatives, and they know it is something made with love and care. And the happiness I see in their eyes makes me feel a joy I can’t describe.
I like learning new things. I love that, when I’m done, I have something totally unique and lasting that someone can enjoy. I love seeing my daughters wear the things I make. And I love th peace I feel while making.
Beautiful colors
Pretty colors!
I like watching an item form in my very own hands.
If I’m creating for somebody else, I love watching their faces when they see what I have made for them.
Crafting is the way to connect to my inner world.
For me, it the feeling of accomplishment as I try new crafts. I have learned that painting and drawing stress me out, but yarn and fabric give me joy!
Looking at yarn and patterns together. Seeing all the things in my mind that could be combined together.
I love the way I feel when making something that makes the people I love happy. I especially love the way they feel loved when they open my gifts to them. I also really really appreciate your beautiful yarn Chandi!
Two sticks, some string and voila magic happens. What’s not to love 💕
Actually I like sewing, crocheting, and everything DIY related. The thing that excites me most about crafting is when there are many hues of colors.
I get excited about knitting, crochet, bead crochet, or macrame whenever I need a gift for a loved one, or get a new fiber or pattern that I can learn new techniques while making.. 🧶💖
The fun of creating, and the feeling of accomplishment. Also love the tactile nature of fiber craft.
I love the creative flow and how good it feels to be in that flow. I enjoy the act of giving and I get to share my fiber creations with others, the smiles I get back are so worth the giving!
I love creating something special for someone. Shawls, blankets, sweaters, hats, socks, gloves, …the list is just never ending. I love how relaxing it is as well.
I love having finished objects to add to my wardrobe and to give to special people. The calm and stress relief that knitting and crocheting provide is a bonus.
Creating things. making others happy with my creation…. and enjoy great yarns for the hobby.
Transforming and beautifying something as simple as yarn into a piece of clothing that’s worn and loved for years and years to come brings a special kind of joy
I love the colors and the feel of yarns!
Looking at yarn or patterns get me going. Finding a beautiful color and the perfect pattern gets me so inspired and motivated to craft. Also, the idea of learning to do something new.
I love the versatility of crafting…make what you want, how how you want and for who you want❣️
I love to do any type bc of craft. It quiets my mind and allows me to express my creativity and it quiets my mind in this busy world.
I get excited about creating a great finished project! Can’t wait to see how it turns out once I’ve started!
Wow!! These colors really pop, they take you right into summer fun and colors. I just love bright colors. What a beautiful why to display yarn. 🧶💝
It may sound corny; however, I really do get excited about creating really nice, detailed, & interesting projects (no matter how time consuming)…..and donate all of them to various people. Whether it is someone who is new to this world (newborns), children or adults in shelters (men and women alike), those who are unwell and need a boost, seniors who need some extra comfort during their changing and what can be scary & lonely days, or just those who simply have needs for whatever the reason. When I am able to contribute in my very small way to give a smile or some comfort to another’s day…..that is very exciting to me. When I became permanently disabled, I was crushed to have to end my OB/NICU nursing career. It was at that point I got my first crochet hook – and discovered YouTube tutorials!! It gave me a purpose, & I’m grateful.
Getting to give it away to a loving home. I have sensory preferences, so although i love the feel of touching knitwear and adore the feel of yarn in my fingers i dont like wearing it much. Nothing gets kept beyond the time it tales to find it the right family member or friend.
A yarn color or amazing pattern both get my excited to craft. I love seeing something start from simple stitches and grow into something beautiful!
I enjoy the process of creating something from nothing. It is also relaxing.
I love to create with different yarns but when it’s time to give it away then I get really excited!!
I love finding new patterns and not only making things for myself but for some of my family.
Mostly an awesome new pattern that would be a perfect gift for a loved one.
Lots of things get me excited about crafting. I love the whole process from choosing the pattern to materials to starting to finishing!
COLOUR always gets me.
What gets me excited about crafting is taking some time that might otherwise been seen as ‘wasted’ (like watching TV all day) and converting it into something productive. I’m not just watching TV, I’m also creating this scarf/shawl/sweater, etc!
The possibilities excite me. The process soothes me.
I like that I can make whatever I’m making my way. I get to choose the pattern, the colours, the yarn, thread, fabric, paint and that makes me happy and even more so when it turns out just as I’d imagined it would.
I love making gifts for my family members and crochet is one skill that I have in my arsenal of crafting.
The colors and the feel of the yarn. The magic of the stitches. It is so soothing in my hands as I watch each stitch build upon the one before. Soon I have a work of art created from love. I’m still overwhelmed by the process after 50 plus years of creating with a stick and a string. This is my therapy!
I love the feel and the gorgeous colors of yarn. It gives me the excitement to start a new project.
I am very inspired by other artists! For instance, Nancy Bates Designs National Park beanies inspired me to design a beanie of our (Charlotte, NC’s) Disco Chicken statue. I bought new turquoise chairs which have my creative juices flowing.
Creating beautiful things with yarn and seeing the joy others show when they receive them!
The Thrill of Crafting (Crocheting in Particular)
Oh Look! A new pattern is here, and better yet its being offered for free!
Do I use the patterns suggested yarn, or perhaps there’s something more suited to me?
How I love winding those soft, supple skeins, and watching the colors quickly slide by,
How I adore the cute little cakes this makes, the first step in the pattern I’ll try.
I often think about my project when I’m away from it, how it will progress and how it will look,
It’s very much like that feeling you get inside, when you can’t wait to get back to a good book.
And as this creation my fingers are spinning unfolds, sometimes slowly but sometimes quick as can be,
I’m always thinking of who I might gift it to, or perhaps I’ll just I keep it for me!

“Me” time
Create things out of beautiful strings
I just love “creating” and making things for the people I love.
All the beautiful yarns to use to create beautiful things!
Doing something new. Learning how to make something new. Creating something that might seem impossible to begin with, but seriously perfecting a new technique.
Thanks so much for the beautiful yarns this month, I appreciate the opportunity. Crafts keep me busy and my old mind working, always learning something new.
Watching something awesome take shape with beautiful yarn!
I come from a family of talented women, and have been crafting all my life. One of the things that I really enjoy is sharing knowledge with others. My mom, my aunt, and my grandmother shared their talents and skills with me and my sisters and I love seeing the joy that people experience when they’ve created something with a newly learned skill.
The things that get me excited about crafting are making things for the people in my life to celebrate the joy coming into their lives – be it a new baby, a new home, a wedding, etc.
The process of creating something.
I love the process of crafting, selecting a pattern I think is beautiful, selecting the yarn that I know will transform that pattern into the vision I have created in my mind, and then bringing it to life! Every step, every stitch is mine and the final product speaks to who I am. How perfect is it to be able to make a vision become reality! I love it!
Creare con del filato tutto quello che voglio.
Excited about knitting a shawl! Hopefully completing in time for my sister’s wedding
June is my birthday month, I will be 76. I have been knitting since I was a small child and to this day it is my go-to sanctuary to keep me (mostly) sane! I ordered some Pearlescent Worsted for my birthday, just because. X X X
It is just fun for me and relaxing. I also enjoy the fact I can make something for someone you can’t just buy.
This months colors sure speak to my heart! So GORGEOUS ❤️
I get excited by the color and feel of the yarn! That excitement is followed by the joy of watching the stitches become fabric. I love it all!
I love handling the yarn and seeing real progress every time I knit. I love seeing yarn take a new form and become a useful item.
Crafting allows me to focus all my crazy feeling energy into making something beautiful.
I love finding gorgeous knitting patterns and thinking about the yarn I could use for that pattern and the person I could knit it for! I get so excited about the possibilities of a new project, that I will start swatching and getting it ready while I’m still in the middle of another project. Sometimes I will have several projects on the go at one time because I couldn’t wait!!!
I love seeing something transform into an amazing project
So much gets me excited! I get excited by a new and beautiful pattern. Colors get me excited. Also people get me excited if I can make something for them!
I get most excited when I find that perfect pattern and yarn to create a gift for someone I love.
New yarn can get me excited about crafting or even just finding a cute pattern!
The challenge of doing something that looks possibly crazy difficult or something I have never attempted!
I love the feel of the yarn. I love the colors. Starting at zero, watching the project grow, and ending with something beautiful is a rush. Seeing the joy in others when they receive the item fills my soul.
Wow, those colours are just a happy bucket of sunshine right there! Simply delicious 😋 What gets me excited about crafting is the pure act of creation, to take a couple of somethings like yarn and a stick (or two) and mixing them together to make something completely different. Mix them up in a different way…get something else entirely. It’s the closest thing to magic I’ve ever known 🎩 🥰
I’ve been crafting all my life, it’s as natural as breathing. Whether it’s knitting, crochet, embroidery, or sewing – anything I can create with my hands just makes me happy!
What excites me about drafting are all the fun and beautiful supplies (yarn, needles, hooks, etc), as well as the finished products. It’s amazing to be able to create lovely things.
I volunteer at a creative reuse center, and by far my favorite thing about crafting is the community it builds. Crafters, no matter the medium, are just a wholly amazing bunch. It never gets old when I ask someone about their project and their eyes light up and they can tell they’ve found a kindred spirit. 💜
Just creating something beautiful and lasting…
I love the idea of trying new yarns and techniques!
love to play with color
I love the bright and bold colors of the yarn on your site. The patterns are like nothing I have seen prior, and I love creating them.
Thanks for being so inspiring!
What gets me excited about crafting? I guess it’s a different way to look at the world. My career and much of my life work is totally linear and thought based – logic, writing, and the like. Crafting is a way to work with the other side of my brain, using my hands and my dreams. Besides working with fiber, my other crafting work is my garden – I grow veggies and save seeds. I hope I win.
What gets me excited about crafting is EVERYTHING! I get energized in the planning. Settle in with the crafting; it is meditative. Then happy to wear or use if it for me, but happier if it is for a gift.
Working with beautiful colors!
The excitement or surprise on a person’s face when I gift them one of my projects especially the “just because” gifting projects. For me personally it is my happy place
I’m in love with the act of creation. I get excited anytime I see something take shape and become. Whether it’s a knit shawl or socks or a crochet bag or blanket or a embroidered wall hanging, I love when it all comes together. It’s such a profound sense of accomplishment.
Hi Chandi!
What gets me excited is the colors of the yarns and also the textures. I get mesmerized by the colors. And, you have so many beautiful colorways!
A few things make me feel excited about crafting: getting to play with soft, squishy yarns, making something from nothing and seeing my project get bigger every time I work on it.
Being able to create something that I can wear or give as a gift, all while sitting and watching TV or listening to an audiobook.
EFA Yarn is so fabulously dyed that I enjoy just looking at all different colors and combinations. I love crocheting, and sometimes I also knit a bit.
Love to give baby blankets and know that my love for the children is so close to their body.
I enjoy the challenge of reading a new pattern and I’m excited about crochet patterns.
Being able to create things out of beautiful yarn🧶and gifting them to friends, family & charity!
I get excited when I see something new-maybe a new technique or a nice pattern, and I want to try it right away.
I get excited when I see the final product of something unique I created, whether it’s yarn, fabric, paper, leather, beads, wood, or metal. I really get excited when I make something and then I get to use that item I just created, especially a handmade journal that I get to use over and over till the last page.😄
Hi, I love your yarn colors and the patterns you have. Also, you are so good at explaining.
Love your products and tutorials.
I love making Baby sweaters and dresses for little girl.
The right yarn, the right pattern mostly shawls and I am in knit heaven!
I agree with Janet! Your wool….your patterns…. Makes me want to almost live in the USA for free shipping….almost. lol Came across your website about a year ago and have never looked back! I knit and crochet so lots to look at.
Time to relax and enjoy the yarn itself. The finished item is a bonus!
When I first started knitting I thought it was marvelous that I could take a “string” and turn it into a garment. It’s still marvelous. Even more marvelous is the selection of beautiful yarn “strings” available compared to 65 years ago, with no end to yarn/pattern combinations.
I’m not sure excited is the right word, but knitting soothes my soul and calms my mind. Also, I really like making things for people I love.
I started crafting because I always need something to do with my hands, but I get really excited about it now thinking about who I’m going to give each piece to. I like picking out what I’m going to make and the yarn I’ll use based on what I know about the person I’m making it for. It feels like putting love into each stitch when I’m making things for people!
As always a great selection and I do knit a lot, just about everyday. I keep hoping that one month I will be the lucky winner. My fingers are crossed right now. thanks for doing this for us Chandi.
Seeing the bright colored yarns such as yours. It’s so inspiring!
Seeing the project starting to come into fruition.
It´s so exciting to create something with my hands as a present for lovely friends or sometimes also for me :-).
Everything gets me excited about crafting! Learning new things, the feel of beautiful yarn, the thought of giving the project to its recipient, or just making things for myself! I love it all!!
Knitting is my refuge, it is the relaxing part of my life. I am excited to see how I can form with my hands a garment that will practically be a hug from me and your yarns are the perfect material.
I don’t know what gets me excited about crafting, it’s just part of my being.
Making something that fits well and that no one else has exactly is what gets me excited.
The joy in the preparation before starting a project
, the process of making and finally showing it off as “Me made!”
Congratulations to Eve!
I get excited about a new project, and the act of transforming a beautiful skein of yarn into something even more beautiful, and, of course, the joy of giving a surprise to a dear friend or relative.
Making Something Beautiful !
Very apropos of this month’s giveaway- the COLOR gets me excited!
The vibrant colors and the joy of making something new is amazing to me! Crocheting is one of my favorite things to do.
I love knitting baby blankets, shawls, beanies and working up the courage to knit a sweater. I give away my knitted items and I love seeing how much people appreciate it. I love the feel of a beautiful soft luxurious yarn when I knit with them.
Ooooooooooooo yarn!
The feel of yarn thru my fingers…and color!
Crafting … knitting, crochet, sewing … it’s my ZEN. I can drift off to another place and time and just site and Create! When I’m creating I’m in my happy place. I love to share the things I’ve created with loved ones.
crafting and creative are synonymous, right? Gotta get it out, gotta express, gotta set it free….
Pattern has to work for me. The yarn is(are) the cherry(ies) on top!
Thank you EFA!
I like the whole process of crafting from finding what I’d like to make, gathering supplies needed, working on the project, and then the end result! ❤️
It is my artistic outlet. I love matching yarn to pattern and watch it come to life.
Mastering new techniques for projects that are pleasing
Crafting of any sort is my version of therapy. The process of creating allows me to have many internal discussions, observations and conclusions with myself. ..why did I choose this project, what does it remind me of, why did I choose the color, etc. In essence, I get to understand more about me.
I love crafting! I love taking common things and making something beautiful from practically nothing. I knit, crochet, make jewelry, sing, bake, and raise chickens. And I’m extatic when I can teach anything new to someone. I’m self taught and want to share all that I can.
I’m amazed by your colors: especially drawn to Monet and watercolors.
pics of your amazing yarn and also pics of finished objects I’d love to make.
Crocheting, coffee, and a cat in my lap are my favorites! Just browsing your site and seeing how you put such beautiful pictures along with the yarn colors is mesmerizing!
The whole process from finding a pattern, finding the best yarn for it, and then watching it all come together…
Creating something one of a kind, mistakes and all. Lol
This would be a marvelous addition to my stash! Especially since my stash is getting sparser and sparser.
It allows me to get creative.
I love the excitement of planning out how to execute an idea!
I love that everything is unique when made by a single person. When I crochet I know that no one else will have this exact piece, it’s unique to me. That’s exciting.
The whole process is exciting! Choosing the yarn to suit the pattern (or vice versa), watching something being created right in front of your eyes, and the finished product being worn or gifted – all so satisfying.
Keeping my hands and mind busy creating beautiful items to share with others. My way of giving warm hugs of love. Thank you for designing beautiful yarn and patterns.
The patterns are beautiful and yarn looks wonderful. I would love to use in a crochet project.
I want to make a baby blanket for my new grandnephew. I’m currently working on a shawl with sincere sock.
Starting a new project is exciting. Learning how the yarn will behave and feel next to your skin. Seeing how the design unfolds from the imagination of the designer. Slipping into a quiet state listening to the sound of the needles coming into contact with each other. Being creative feeds my nature in a way unlike anything else.
The beautiful colors and being able to create something.
I can knit socks that fit!
Crafting allows me to create my own inner balance… it’s like a switch off to everything negative and exhausting. I am excited by the light and warmth that accompanies me in my heart during the process of creation.
I get excited to create something out of nothing. Also to learn a new technique or perfect an old one.
Beautiful yarn and colors. Make my mind wonder what I can knit out of it. Many ideas.
Sometimes is just a color combination or maybe a gift i want to do for a friend. Love seeing videos of what people create and sometimes just seeing yarn gets me excited and thinking about crafting something. Thank you for all of the inspiration you provide!
I get excited when I see something that I know would be a great gift for someone I love. It’s even better when I know for sure they want it. Better still when I can learn a new skill making it.
My favorite thing about crafting is being able to imagine a finished project then take a pile of materials and make my vision tangible. It always feel like magic if I finish it with a professional look (steam seams, block knitting, etc).
Creating and learning new techniques. Experimenting with colors outside of my comfort zone ~ endless possibilities! ❤️
I enjoy the whole process of making something with my own hands. Starting with yarn and/or fabric, a bit of time and patience and before long I have a hat, scarf, shawl, blanket, etc.
New challenging patterns and gorgeous yarn!
I love the process of creating. I love working in all kinds of fiber: knitting, crocheting, sewing, embroidery. I use commercial patterns as well as designing my own patterns,
Knitting is my way of joining in a community. It’s sharing and spending time with others; a way to connect. I think I might never see anyone if it weren’t for knitting and crafting. It grounds me.
Making beautiful and useful items makes crafting satisfying. And I love seeing your gorgeous yarn and patterns. Thank you for all you do.
So exciting to watch a colorful, beautiful thing come alive in my hands!
I am happy that my own two hands can make something beautiful!
The pleasure of creating something for a loved one or something that fits ME.
Just excites me that I have “made” something and it actually turned out 😉😆😆
There’s just something about knitting that sang out to me! The yarns! I never knew there was so much to learn about it! The colors, oh the colors! I don’t have the ability to do much anymore, but I can still knit and that comforts me.
Knitting is my wind down and peace routine. I love the creativity that can be produced by a couple of sticks and some yarn.
Crafting itself gets me excited. I can’t imagine not having at least one project going at a time. This lovely batch of colorful yarn would be exciting to make into baby items for my nephew and his wife’s baby girl due in October. Fingers crossed!
I like making something lovely and useful out of beautiful yarn (and fabric!) Knitting in particular is also a way for me to feel close to my grandmother, who taught me to knit when I was about 5. One of the best things I’ve ever learned! It’s certainly stuck with me the longest 🙂
I always get excited when I can start a new project, especially if it is a new yarn I haven’t used before.
Starting a new project. Finishing an old project. Using squishy yarn. 🙂
The excitement definitely comes from making something so intricate out of a thin piece of fiber, watching the twists and designs come to life will never get old. But also I get silly excited to just have some time to myself where I can let my mind wander and get lost in the repetitive motion of my hands. Ahhhh, so relaxing.
Omg, absolutely scrumptious colors…..what gets me excited is working with beautiful and luxurious fibers and knowing I am creating something beautiful for someone I love.
The calming and fulfilling aspects of Yarn crafting are what keep me excited and engaged!
have had seventy five years of pleasure making things with yarn, from doll clothes and puppy blankies to all kinds of wearables and things for my homes . . . for myself, my family and friends. exciting? there’s always a new way to do something with your stitches.
Beauty gets me excited about crafting. The ability to make something that will add to the beauty of a room or that will look beautiful on someone I know. Line, drape and the stitches used are key. I can always adjust color.
Making something no one else has.
The exciting part of crafting is I can create and sometimes get to wear a unique piece. 🙂
The most exciting part of crafting is creating!
I really like being able to visualize an end product and then see it come to be.
I just love the idea of creating things!
My passion has been knitting since I was 13, now I crochet as well and my yarn collection needs a room of its own 😂😂😂😂 love making all sorts of things for me and anyone that asks ❤️ It’s my life now!
I love crafting with your amazing yarn and patterns!
I get excited trying a new pattern. Soft squishy yarn is exciting too.
I’m most excited to be able to bring to life the pictures that I see in my mind using just my skills and some gorgeous raw materials
Taking a simple skein of yarn and a crochet hook and creating something that, (hopefully), will be loved and cherished long after I’m gone.
I like easy knit patterns with beautiful colored yarns. Hombre colors or variegated are my favorites.
I love love love making beautiful things to give away. People are always so surprised when they receive a gift and when they know it was handmade with them in mind…well that just touches the heart <3
It’s a wonderful escape from the pressures of life. 🙂
I like thinking about someone else enjoying what I make.
Creating something with my hands
To relax and get me grounded, crocheting is the best thing for me❣️
I have a shawl started. I’m using the terebinthia pattern and it’s beautiful! I’m also on a kitchen scrubby kick. They’re more function than fancy, but I got a little burnt out on my bigger projects because I finished one and it was not what I was expecting. My friends love the scrubbies though!
The time for myself to sit quietly and do something I love. It is so relaxing.
Playing with colour is the thing that’s always got my juices flowing when it comes to crafting. Painting, knitting, sewing, embroidery, jewellery: it’s always about the colour.
The thing that gets me excited about crafting is seeing the finished result of what I created.
Trying new patterns, working with fabulous fibers and colors and crochet is my creative outlet and way to relax.
Making something beautiful that someone else will use and love for years to come. I have a long list of things to crochet for myself, but I always turn to my gift list instead.
I wrote this little poem yesterday to explain what gets me excited about crafting, and posted it, but came back to read others’ posts and couldn’t find mine so must have done it wrong. My apologies if it gets posted twice.
And as this creation my fingers are spinning unfolds, sometimes slowly but sometimes quick as can be,
I’m always thinking of who I might gift it to, or perhaps I’ll just keep it for me!
What gets me excited is to see how you can take a piece of fiber turned into long strips and then taking that strip and a hook or needles and through these tools you create something else. It’s inspiring and fascinating
Most of my crocheting and knitting is for gifts to friends and family. I love to give them something unique.
The most important thing that gets me excited about crocheting and knitting, is the feel and colors of the yarn. Then the wheels in my head start figuring out who I’m making it for and the perfect pattern or stitches I will use.
I love the EFA yarns! It’s always exciting to open up a new package of yarn and begin working on a new shawl.
I enjoy doing a new project and all that comes with that: choosing the pattern, the yarn, making sure I have the proper tools.
in crafting i get to escape the insanity of reality for a while, and yet at the moment as i create, i feel more in touch with my realities and i appreciate more the blessings that i have. that excites me, because in crafting and in creating, i am lost and present, and i love that.
Seeing the colors and thinking of combinations, feeling the texture of the wool or fabric and looking at inspirational photos of what others have made; those are the things that excite me about crafting.
Get excited when flipping through patterns trying to decide my next project I was to attempt.
I just get so excited. When I get a thought in my head or see something somewhere. And I’m like I want to make it right now. Like someone writing a song or a book. And I’ll just set there and work on it tell its done. And I have just great joy when it’s done and the smile on someone face when they see it. And say you made this? how cool is that
I think it is thrilling to start something new.
Oh My That deep red. I must get brave enough to wear red.
These summery colors are awesome! The exciting part of crafting for me is seeing a satisfying result – something functional and/or pretty!
So few things in life allow one to work with a whole spectrum of colors. Just the opportunity to be creative with colors and watch them become something is exciting. And one can do it all year round!
I find zen in crafting–it lets my mind slow down and relax and stop spinning like it can. AND at the end of it, I have something beautiful to use or give away!
Watching a roll of yarn turn into a beautiful item that I can gift or enjoy for myself. The feel of the yarn and the sound of the needles gets me excited and makes me want to finish the item I’m working on faster!
Watching a ball of yarn turn into something warm and useful is the most exciting part of crafting for me!
Art is therapy for me…be it fiberart, watercolor painting or making collages and handmade books!
Love the feel and smell of yarn, plus turning it into something I made.
Oh I get excited just thinking about creating something, anything beautiful. I’m all excited seeing beautiful yarn like this, and imagining that I could win it and what I could make with it. I love colours and patterns and textures and themes. These beautiful colours make me think of a summer garden, and I get excited thinking about making one of the blankets/afghans on my wish list – for this yarn, some of the patterns from “The Floral Hook” now thats a seriously exciting challenge, wow that would be a thing of beauty. xx
Beautiful patterns, beautiful yarn to make the patterns with, and positive support & inspiration! In other words, EFA & team!! 🙂 Thanks for all you & the team do for us. You bring so much beauty into the world!!
I work on a computer all day, so it is nice to sit, relax, and be able to physically touch the work I’ve created.
The ability to create something that I imagined.
Crocheting something gorgeous with your beautiful yarn relaxes me. It makes me feel beautiful when I wear my creations to a party or even just to the grocery store. And it fills my heart with joy to give something I crafted with your yarn to a friend to keep her warm or make her feel pretty. I just wish I had more hands … and time! :=)
What gets me excited about crafting? The fun of starting a new project and learning new techniques.
I love making something, giving it as a gift, and watching that person get the desire to craft also. I’ve gifted socks to my sister in law, and now she is learning to knit so she can make them too. To gift to her grandchildren. ❤️
The items I make for myself are exactly how I want them!
Color, form, tecnique, fiber (wool , silk or cotton)
My goal is to only wear handmade clothing. I buy linen trousers which are made by hand here in Majorca and they combine beautifully with my knitted tops, cardigans and shawls!
Love the feel of the yarn, watching the progress of the pattern develop as I sit and relax.
Hi Chandi, What gets me excited about crafting is the enjoyment of seeing the finished product is the amazing things we can create with yarn; it’s just incredible.
Thank you for the chance to win some of your gorgeous yarny goodness…😍. Have a wonderful day! 🤗🥰
Good luck everyone…😀
the feeling of possibility and potential, and the magic of watching something beautiful manifest from a simple strand of yarn and a hook or 2 needles.
Everything! From buying the materials needed, starting the project, seeing the progress I make, seeing it finished, and if I’m making it as a gift the look on the person’s face when the see it!
There’s very little I don’t like about knitting (maybe weaving in loose ends). My yarn addiction is real. I may need a 12-step program. I am so in love with all of the beautiful hand-dyed yarns that are available by independent dyers and have a hard time justifying why I can’t buy every pretty one I see!
I always seem to be attracted to patterns with something new to learn–a stitch or a technique–and I am always amazed when it’s not as hard as it looks!!
Playing with color and textures! Knitting is my introspective time.
The colours and feel of the yarn, as well as the anticipation and daydreaming about what will come.
One of my favourite things about crafting is how orderly and tidy the finished product is…. and it stays like that! Not like when I tidy my home and the kids get back from school! haha! I love looking at pretty yarns and new patterns. I have so many of both that I need to retire early and stay retired for abut 156 years to get them all done!
Have a lovely day.
I love learning new skills and relish tailoring a hand-crafted item to its intended recipient
Seeing my project start to come together!
I love working with soft yarn to create unique wearable items. I only wish I could knit faster so the items become a reality
Crocheting just makes my fingers happy, and it excites me to give my creations away. But I do keep a few for myself!
Hi Chandi. I love reading your blogs and seeing how gorgeous yarn transforms into stunning creations. My favorite craft is crochet and shawls. I love looking at the different shades in all of your yarns. I also love how soft the yarns are when petted.
Crafting keeps me sane.
I get excited about the feel and colours of a new batch of yarn when starting a new project. then I get excited about learning new techniques, and finally the ultimate excitement is the anticipation of the delighted expressions of the recipient of my project.
In the beginning, there is yarn, a simple hook and my own hands. After the spell is cast by a series of coordinated movements of hands and fingers, all the magic produces a beautiful and useful item, which I can wear, spread or gift to anyone I fancy. And most of the excitement comes from the spell itself!
Trying out new, luscious yarns and beautiful patterns is what gets me excited about crafting! I love starting a new project – the beginning is my favorite part.
What gets me excited about crafting is that it’s endless! Every day I can look forward to learning something new, picking a new color, a new stitch, a new project. Thanks for all you do!
I just like having something to keep my hands busy.
I love being challenged with intricate patterns and seeing them come to life.
I still find it amazing that by crocheting some stitches, I’ll end out with something! I mean … that’s just so satisfying. It was a hank or a skein, and now it’s a “thing”!!! and I did it!
Love love love the feel of EFA yarns and the finished garment is wonderful to wear. I always receive positive comments on my finished garments..
Putting my feet up at the end of the day with coffee or wine and my yarn and needles.
All that yarn get me excited!!
And being able to make my own clothing!
Lots of things: playing with color, learning new techniques, making something that has a random stranger say “I love that; did you make it?”
I get excited over picking patterns, picking yarns, starting projects, and finally wearing them. Now that it’s summer, I’m excited over plant-based and silk yarns. It’s hard to settle on one thing about crafting that excites me.
I LOVE yarn. I have seen yarn and I have had that feeling in my stomach that you get when you see someone across the room that you want to get to know. 😍
Crafting for me is an escape. It is an enjoyable time to do with one or more friends. I knit to pod casts. or relaxing music. I Crochet to watching a movie or at Womens Craft Night. Diamond Dotz with audio book. Paint watercolor, acrylics only to nature & music.
Just reading some of the comments here, I realize I’m in great company as an aficionado of Expression Fiber Arts, Chandy (her uplifting videos and emails – what a wonderful person!), Tim and everyone else remotely associated with their lovely (and loving!) endeavor. For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved and needed a project to work on — there’s something about that creative urge that has pushed me forward, whether to sew or draw or paint or knit or crochet. But, there’s nothing that comes close to the tactile experience of EFA yarns — the feel of them, the sheen, the lustrous colors. All of it is scintillating. As a member of our EFA fans Facebook page, I know I’m not the only one who is now spoiled for any other kind of yarn. Thank you for being there, Chandy, Tim and EFA gang!!!
You choose a pattern, you chose the yarn and the colors, and from there you get to create your own interpretation of a project that will be different from other crafters’ interpretations. It is a form of expression and creativity that is very fulfilling. And you’re able to give your friends gifts that are unique and come from the heart.
excitement for me is the expressions on the faces of my “giftees”
I love color and texture. I spend time looking for patterns to go with the yarn I’ve collected, then it’s GAME ON! Try try and try again with new yarn and new patterns, learning more each time. I love the accomplishment of finishing a project and always look forward to the next one.
When I make a project and it brings joy to someone else!
I enjoy creating something new.
So many things, New yarn bases, New colors, New patterns. The creative process. Watching something come too life as it changes from yarn to gloves or cowl, sweater, etc.
Crafting has been a wonderful way to express my creativity as well as being an opportunity to give to others.
Color gets me excited. I love putting colors together for knitting, crocheting or quilting. I love the EFA hand dyed yarns as there is just a bit of mystery in how the finished project will turn out. And the squish factor takes things over the top!
What gets me excited about crafting is the components. Gorgeous yarn or sparkly gems or beads etc makes me so happy! It’s fun to imagine what they can turn into! Oh my goodness!! This is the best giveaway ever! My favorite colors!! I hope, I hope, I hope I win! 🤞🤞😍
The creativity involved is what excites me the most. I have modified and adapted patterns for years, and am beginning to create my own!
Hi! Your yarn is beautiful! What gets me most excited is learning a new, useful skill.
Hello 🤗
joy of making things and giving them a life makes me feel alive. Pleasure of seeing a finished craft made by my own hands is like giving life. I never had much luck in giveaways and I would be raging with happiness if I only could win this beautiful yarn package.
Good luck to everyone ❤️🧶🥰
all that squishy yarn gets me excited. What really does excite me is to see when I am done what I have created.
I love to see the joy on someone’s face when they receive one of my gifts.
What gets me excited about crafting is thinking about who the project is going to while making it, and then just watching it start from literally just yarn to whatever beautiful thing it is turning into. I know I’m doing it, but it’s still an amazing thing to behold.
The chance to sit and reflect on the day as I enjoy the feel of the yarn as I knit and/or crochet 🧶
I think color is what gets me most excited and inspires me to make
The process of using simple tools and interesting materials to apply to a familiar and loved pattern is what gets me excited. It never fails to give me a thrill to see the finished product I create. Especially when gifted to one of my very appreciative family and friends-who-are-family.
What gets me most excited about crafting is the possibilities! The ability to create something unique and one of a kind out of an idea.
I have problems with motoric skills – but crochetting and knitting is the only thing, that Works for me. The thought “It’s made by me” Is so thrilling! I made lot’s of tea coasters, few blankets from the yt tutorials and lately I have been able to read schemes and make my first shawl. And the Yarns… I love Looking at them, touching, thinking, what will they Become in the future. So relaxing.
It’s all about the processing of creating, and the sense of achievement, accomplishment and satisfaction from the end result. Buying something already made just doesn’t compare.
For Crafting… Creation and creativity comes together!
What gets me excited is planning individual projects out, admittedly starting them all before finishing whoops, and knowing that when I’m done I’m creating something beautiful to give to someone I love that will love it forever. ♡
Your yarns are so beautiful. Thanks for being so generous.
I am working on a needlepoint tapestry that I have had forever!
I love being able to see a plain strand of yarn get turned into something complex and beautiful, by me!
When I get together with my groups to see what everyone is working on and when a new person starts knitting or crocheting how excited they are it rejuvenates me. Thank you too you and your people for all your do.
Honestly lots of things. Firstly it would be new yarn. New colours, new bases, something I haven’t had before. New beautiful patterns (ESPECIALLY Expression Fiber Arts patterns. They really, really, really do get me excited for new WIPS) Also season changes, Autumn and Spring are my favourite. Asks from family members too. Your yarns aren’t always in my budget but they are absolutely the yarns I love most and will always come back to.
The whole process of creating something and seeing the results
YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY11111111 OH WHAT GREAT DESSERTS1111 LEMON MERINGUE, BLUEBERRY111 APPLE111 ALL KINDS OF PIES AND OF COURSE LOTS OF CAKES. IT WOULD BE SO LOVELY TO WIN THESE.
I like all sorts of crafts – sewing, crocheting, knitting, cross-stitching … I like to see the pattern deploying and the developping of the finished item
I love the textures, colors – oh the gorgeous colors and yarns you make! How could anyone choose a favorite one? Crafting is a wonderful process, good for the physical and mental well being of the crafter.
What gets me excited about crafting is knowing that I’m taking string and sticks and making something that didn’t previously exist.
Some days, when everything is going right, it almost feels like magic.
Prettiest collection yet!! <3
As soon as I finish a project and someone loves it, I want to make another. Also, the thought of buying new yarn is very enticing 😁
I find both knitting and crocheting both relaxing and rewarding. Especially now that i have 3 grandchildren to craft for! It was so rewarding to hear my granddaughter open the sweater i knit for her and say “my grandma made this for me!” I hope as they get older they’ll want to learn!
i love the process of creating things…it doesn’t matter what it is in some ways
I’ve gotten to the point where I am trying out my own patterns and color combinations. I love the act of creating the most. Second is seeing the finished product.
The idea of making something new. Creating it with my own talents and abilities. When finished, to be able to say “I made this!”
Soft Beautiful yarn makes me excited, but most of all seeing someone I love light up when they see what was created just for them. Giving and doing for others gratifies and makes me excited to start my next project.
I’ve been a crafter almost all of my life. I love trying new patterns, working with new materials and that I can find projects that take a short time to do or that I can work on over a longer period of time.
I love that I get to make something physical. Seeing my project grow into something pretty is the biggest motivation 🙂
I love watching things unfold, what at first may look like nothing or a very humble lump becomes something beautiful. It’s so satisfying, and I feel chuffed having created something with my own hands..
Whether it be knitting, crocheting or beading, it’s exciting when I see new yarns, yarn colors and fun patterns. It works the same for beading. I can’t wait to get started on an old or new pattern with brand new colorful yarn in hand. Something new that I haven’t experienced before. I love the feel of soft yarn as I knit/crochet. Then I get the most excited as I give the handcrafted gift(s) to the ones most dear to me and see their eyes light up with happy surprise.
Thank you, Chandi, for this fabulous yarn giveaway. I can see the beginning of a new project(s) with these bright, cheerful and exciting yarns.
Hi Chandi, What gets me excited about crafting is enjoying the finished product… to understand you just made something beautiful from, example: yarn and a crochet hook or knitting needles. It’s so rewarding…😉
Thank you for the chance to win some of your gorgeous yarny goodness…🥰🤗
Crafting keeps me patient and keeps me from fidgeting all the time. I love making things and seeing people use them. I also love trying out new techniques and patterns.
I never considered myself to be a crafty person and only took up “creative” hobbies a few years ago. I love seeing the things that I am able to create even though I’m “not crafty.” It gives me a sense of accomplishment and joy that I can’t find anywhere else.
I love watching a skein, cake, or ball turning into something beautiful. I learned to crochet as a little girl, taught by my Grandmother. It’s been so relaxing picking it back up. The hardest part is narrowing down which project to pair with which yarn(s). I have my eye on quite a few kits for when I finish the current WIPs.
OMG! This is such a gorgeous collection!!! 😍😍
I pretty much see something pretty and I want to make it! 😁💖
I love choosing what I want to make, finding the perfect materials for my project, and seeing it all come together. It excites me and challenges me and relaxes me.
Crafting allows me to make something without having to strictly follow the rules.
Want a different color, or make something longer? It’s all adjustable and that’s what I like.
I have a (long) list of projects to make. I love finishing a project and then choosing from the list for my next project. I get excited when I cross a project off my list because I completed it. choosing colors for projects is always fun and exciting.
It’s exciting for me to keep learning new stitches and techniques through knitting. I’m looking forward to learning to knit socks and learning to knit mosaic.
A lovely bright and cheerful colorway always makes me want to pull out my needles, and the pride that comes with finally finishing a wip is the best feeling!
What gets me excited is just taking time for me and the self care that good with the crafting.
What excites me is the outcome of trying a new pattern, and also the reaction of giving the gift.
Chandi, what gets me excited about crafting is that I can hand make something for a person whom has reached a milestone, or is just needing some love and kindness. I may not be able to buy you a car for graduation but I can knit you a scarf in your favorite colors. Thank you so much.
The combination of beautiful yarn and a lovely pattern get me excited to knit! Thanks for all you do!
Waiting for delicious yarn packages to come, which inspire me with their colour and silky ness, eventually feeling the silky drape around me, so inspiring when you have such delicious patterns from Chandi
I love surprises! So, knitting something as a surprise for someone I care about makes that project fun and exciting for me!
I love the feel of things as I’m making them. And if I’m honest, I like impressing people with what I can make!
What gets me excited is matching beautiful yarn with the perfect pattern!
I love crafting for the mental release. It helps me unwind or even calm down when my anxiety levels are getting too high.
Seeing yarn, fabric, and other supplies slowly become a beautiful finished peice!❤️
A beautiful yarn or a beautiful pattern gets me excited to do some crafting!
What gets me excited for a project is the planning. I love gathering the material (yarn), needles, pattern, etc.
The excitement of crafting is seeing something new come from the raw materials. To transform the raw materials into something practical or just as beautiful as the original.
Learning a new set of stitches or figuring out how to get two different textures to mesh together in a new way usually excites me to create!
I love the sense of accomplishment. I really like being able to create things
I love this beautiful colors, I love you tutorials. ❤
I love the feel of yarn in my hands, the look of the colors, and the sense of accomplishment when I finish something that I really like.
Beautiful yarn gets my creativity come alive!
I get excited as I watch a creation take shape, whether knitting or sewing or some other craft. As I see the intricacies of color and design take shape, I am encouraged to continue to do more.
I think it’s about creating. Making something new. Or even perhaps trying something new. Recently I had the opportunity to create a bird box from discarded wooden pallet pieces. It was a new experience and exciting to use power tools! 💪. When it comes to knitting, the excitement is in the journey of the piece. It’s always exciting to discover gorgeous EFA colors. Perhaps trying stitches that are new and then seeing the unique pops of different colors as the yarn is woven into a fabric and something tangible and beautiful is created. 🩵
I love that! 🤩
I love to see the whole process, from picking out the yarn to working the pattern to seeing the finished project. Fun
The colors of your yarns are so beautiful and that makes them so inspirational.
Congratulations Eve!
Thank you Chandi for the opportunity! For me crocheting, knitting and needle tatting relax me. They are great stress busting activities. Plus I love making things for me and others. My birthday is in July so this would be a fantastic birthday surprise! 💖💖💖💖
I enjoy picking out the supplies needed to make an item. I also enjoy the reaction of the recipient when I gift the item to them!
I am getting ready to gift all my art stuff besides fiber, fabric and beads. I just realize I’m never going to prioritize painting or drawing or sculpting or or or all the rest. What an exciting decision!!! Now I’m feeling more inspired to have my colorful yarns and fabrics around me where I can turn to them in a moment. This is going to be fun!!
I get excited about crafting by looking at the beautiful colors and feeling those wonderful textures.
Knitting and crocheting really help me calm my mind. I love to work a little before bedtime because it relaxes me.
Chandi! Those colors are stunning! Especially that blue…LOVE!!!!! What gets me excited about crafting is seeing what I can make and how it works with the colors I choose. I love making amigurumi plushies and especially Stevie Nicks style shawls. I just can’t get over how absolutely gorgeous those colors are!
It is such a joy to make something beautiful and then give it away to someone you love or admire. I love the whole process of doing different crafts, from deciding on a pattern to making that final stitch. What a blessing to be able to use our hands and our hearts in that whole process! Thank you for the gift of sharing your talents and your yarns with us. You are beautiful and so very generous. So happy I found you recently online!!!!
Love watching something new bloom into life in my hands when I’m creating with fiber. It makes my heart sing.
Yarn makes me giddy and when I see something that I think would be amazing to create, I get excited. When I find a gorgeous yarn that is perfect for something I want to create, I’m over the moon.
The change in seasons gets me excited for new projects. Also, pretty yarn and matching notions. 🧶🥰
I love knitting and crocheting special gifts for family and friends. I also created shawls and afghans that are given to persons who are elderly, very ill, or in the hospital.
Juicy summery colors for this month!!
What I love about crafting is the ability to create something beautiful, and you can change things up and make it your own simply by changing the color choice, or doing something else.
I love to make someone happy with a piece that I create with love
The colours and textures of yarn are the most exciting to me, and then seeing creations take form. Thank you for these giveaways. But colours again this month!
Seeing new patterns and all the beautiful hand dyed yarns always gets me excited to knit and crochet. Knitting and crochet give my mind time to rest from all the stress of the day
I love knitting the most. I love seeing what magic I can make with my sticks!
The most I love about crafting is the sensation of seeing something I have created that it would last for a long time, even though sometimes I decided to frogged 😅, the next piece will last or it will be an amazing gift for someone I cherish, thank you for this amazing opportunity it will be a dream come true to win this 😻
Hi Chandi and all,
What excites me about crafting is the endless possibilities to create something beautiful, either for myself or others. I also love that it gives me the opportunity to slow down and be in the moment. ❤️
I love the time relaxing and watching what I’m making appear. I use crochet time to think and work out stuff in my mind.
what gets me excited about crafting is how it relaxes me after a long work day! I love to play with colors – mixing & matching so many different colors of yarns!
OMG! These yarns are so beautiful! And the colors – excellent! Thank you, Chandi, for so many inspirations!
I love crafting because while I am creating I am findind myself. It’s my meditation and the cosiest moment with myself. Thank You for beautiful patterns and words and everything good which You arę giving to the world. It’s like a fountain od love and good.
I still can’t believe I’m a knitter! That’s how I feel when I finish a project, because just a few years ago, this would have been unimaginable to me. I’m self-taught, thanks to wonderful videos like Chandi’s on Youtube, that helped me to learn. I tend to be an anxious worrywart, but knitting calms my soul! So just know I’m a knitter now inspires me to do more.
I love creating my own clothes! These yarns look lovely to make something new!
I get excited about starting a new pattern and seeing my project take shape. I love learning new techniques, trying new yarns and collecting ALL the colours. Yarn colours are completely seductive.
Honestly, I really just enjoy the transformation of the raw material into the finished product–whether it’s a blank canvas becoming a painting, fabric that sat for years becoming a finished garment, or gorgeous yarn becoming an heirloom or favorite accessory! I love the process, and it never ever gets old! There’s something so amazing and hope-filled about the whole thing–if I can make something beautiful out of bits and pieces of this and that, then what will I myself become someday, with a little concentrated effort??
Being part of a creative community excites and inspires me. I love sharing my knitting projects with my college roommate, seeing what folks following expression fiber arts share on Facebook, knitting along with folks at my local yarn shop, and seeing you share your painting, sewing, gardening etc. on Tuesdays. All these get my creative juices flowing!
I get excited about seeing different patterns that look so beautiful! I don’t have a lot of time to craft, but I love finding gorgeous patterns to drool over!
I love figuring out what color(s) to use for a knit project! I mainly knit clothing or accessories so I envision with what the item would be used or worn. I get excited laying out the skeins or balls and seeing what looks great together and moving them around till it’s just right!
I love seeing a garment grow – starting out from something small and unrecognizable to a real garment!
I love the peaceful and relaxing that crocheting gives me! I’m looking forward to learning how to make stain glass suncatchers later this summer! I love your YouTube channel!
I love the the smile and expressions one someone’s face when I give them a new item I have created for them or their child.
I love being able to create something that someone or myself will love and appreciate. I feel when I make something it is a memory for myself and the person it’s given to. Happy crafting ❤️
I love to get my hands ‘dirty’ 🙂 Usually I’m so busy in my head (also for my work), and it feels so nice and calming to get my hands working instead.
I get excited about the beautiful yarn, the feel of the fiber, but I more enjoy seeing people appreciate what was made. Sitting down and knitting is such a relaxing thing for me (even if I struggle with a pattern)
Trying to learn how to knit better so the more lovely yarn I have the faster I want to learn!
I love the colours of the yarn, and the feel of it. Making beauty from such eautiful yarn!
What gets me excited about crafting? Finding the time and having the peace and quiet to to focus on making. Trying something new and challenging also gets me excited, but again, I have to find the time to really focus. The last thing is completing a project and being happy with how it turned out. It’s so easy to be self critical, so it makes me want to make more crafts when I’m pleased with the outcome.
Beautiful yarn colors get me every time. Especially when they “speak” to me and I know exactly what they will become and for who!
Seeing beautiful yarn and a great pattern will get me excited to start a new craft but actually having the yarn 🧶 in my hands makes it even better.
I just like making things that are useful to myself and others (people, animals, etc.) Presently turning some gourds into bird houses and feeders, lol. Seem to always get side tracked.
I love unusual color combinations. I look for inspiration all around me. Your yarns are very beautiful and inspiring
I always get excited thinking about all the fun things I can create.
What gets me excited are all the possibilities! I can literally use the same yarn, and a different pattern, and get a different result! The same thing with bead weaving. The variety is absolutely endless! Thank you for such a beautiful giveaway!
I love taking beautiful yarn, and watching as row by row it becomes wearable art! The whole process is relaxing and wonderful!
I get excited about creating something beautiful. I love searching for the perfect yarn for my project. I love the yarn in this months giveaway!!!!! You did a wonderful job dying and arranging it.
Creating something with my hands excites me. I am inspired by nature, so much beauty there.
I always get excited about the journey of the the projects how I feel when I start them, what will it look like when I’m done. I think the MOST exciting part is the reaction from other people when I show them what I’ve created, like wow you made that!? Gifting and seeing the joy on people’s faces is the cherry on top!
Hi Chandi! Thank you so much for the stunning giveaway. Crafting, knitting, in particular always gets me riled up with the colours, choices, and interactive stitch designs.
