Always having a perfect gauge would be everything.
I’d like the perfect gauge too
Perfect gauge for sure!! I’ve frogged the beginning of my daughter’s jacket like 4 times already! At this rate I’ll have the two of them done by NEXT fall! 🤣
The perfect yarn! Patterns are ac challenge, yarn is a pleasure. R
No gauge. Ever. That would be the best ever!
It’s a tough call, but I would rather have the perfect yarn. I tend to find a pattern I want to make, and agonize over what yarn to use.
Perfect fit for sure!
I would rather have every pattern that I crochet end up being a perfect fit!
The perfect yarn. This give aeay would do wonders for my stash. Love it all!
The perfect YARN because that would K d mean it would be ‘ExpresiionFiberArts’ yarn. And Chandi always provides us with lovely patterns. ❤️
Perfect gauge would be great❣️ I have a lot of projects with patterns and yarn, gauge would be great!
I think I would love having the perfect yarn for the project every time. My first instinct was Guage, specially because I’ve just ventured into garment knitting, but I find myself wanting to start specific projects but I don’t have the right yarn for it!
Every pattern i crochet be a perfect fit!
I’ll opt for pefect fit without any gauge drama! That would be very helpful, specially if you create things for others to wear.
And also even though you have just the right yarn in your stash it doesn’t mean you’re anywhere colse to perfect project…
I would want everything fit correctly. No gauge drama.
As much as it’s difficult to afford perfect yarn, the perfect fit would be EVERYTHING 😉. I have to alter almost all patterns I use to fit.
That’s such a hard question!! But I think I’d have to pick the second one, everything fits perfectly, as I have made countless projects out of really nice yarns and ended up scrapping them because they didn’t fit!
I’d rather have the perfect fit because not having the perfect yarn in my stash is a good excuse to go to the yarn store!
Perfect fit!! 100%!!
Oh God, it depends… Would they continue to fit with body changes? Would I have to actually store all that yarn somewhere? My first instinct is the yarn, but…
I would love to find the perfect color every time.
I buy what feels and looks beautiful, then I decide what I will create.
Perfect yarn, definitely. Especially when it is for multi color projects I always seem to be one color short.
Definitely need everything to fit perfectly and without gauge drama!
You come up with such beautiful colors all the time that I need to purchase even though I have the right base for a project.
I would rather always find the exact yarn I need in my stash, even if I’ve never bought it. And if I win this drawing, I might just be able to! 🙂 What gorgeous colors!
I almost never make things that are truly gauge-dependent, so I’ll have to go with finding exactly the right yarn.
It would have to be the right yarn for me.
If someone could put the right colors together that would be amazing!
The color thing is HUGE for me too! I can totally relate…..❤️
Oh! Without a doubt, perfect fit, no gauging! I can find a way to get yarn, sooner, or later. Getting gauge is hateful! LOL I just want to jump right in to my project!
I would prefer always finding the perfect yarn!!! I don’t mind frogging projects.
Definitely perfect fit!!! No more swatching (not sure why I hate doing it so much).
Both are so important. Especially if you make garments then fit is everything but you also need the perfect yarn at the correct gauge.Thank you for all you do. I always look forward to your podcasts and I’m grateful to be able to acquire such beautiful yarn from your shop.
Perfect fit would save me so much time and effort!
I would prefer to find all the yarn I need for Projects in my stash. But then how would I ever be able to shop for beautiful yarn!
Perfect fit no gauge drama! I have more trouble figuring out the fit of a pattern! Love your emails always uplifting.
Definitely always having the perfect yarn!
I would rather have the perfect yarn every time. I can usually make things fit.
I would want a perfect gauge every time, I need time to knit all the projects I want to make and not checking guage would speed everything up.
I think a perfect fit as I can always find the yarn but getting it right the first time would be great!
the right fit without the guage issues would be just perfect. At times I have put projects aside before starting the again for umpteenth time….but I’ll always go back to it.
I want both! 😆 But if I had to pick one, it would be for everything to fit and no gauge drama.
Yarn at the ready, please. As to gauge, things can be ripped out and reworked to achieve fit.
The perfect yarn , so that even the cupboard looks pretty before the inspiration
Ohhhh ..I would love a cabinet of curious wonders! One where inspiration strikes like a soul-searing lightning bolt of wonder and amazement when my fingers touch the perfect ball of scrumptious yarn! I’m getting dizzy just dreaming about it!
I DEFINITELY would have a perfect fit with no gauging and everything goes smooth.
Always having the perfect yarn for what I’m making – as long as that’s magically the right quantity too!
I dont mind frogging and reworking to find the right gauge, but having the perfect yarn on hand when I need it is a lot trickier for me.
Ohhhh that’s a really hard question, but I’d rather have always finding the perfect yarn! I don’t mind trying to find the gauge all that much 🙂
Yes, definitely perfect gauge every time for me too. I do love the creative journey but too many attempts at gauge can be discouraging. I’m a loser knitter so always struggle to get it right.
Now that is a tough one to answer. What would I rather choose. I would say getting the perfect fit when making my wearables. To be honest I never do a gauge test, I just knit or crochet depending on what I am making. If it works out too big I just give it to my daughter since she likes oversized items.
No guage for sure! I dread those! I like to get right in to the project. 🙂
Perfect fit and gage with out a doubt! I love finding and collecting yarn and I hate yarn math haha
I’d rather have every new pattern I knit or crochet fit perfectly on the very first try with no gauge drama ever. And find the exact same yarn in my stash!!
I definitely would go for Option 1 – I have the hardest of times choosing a yarn for a project. 9 out of 10, I just grab a yarn I like, no matter if it is the correct fiber for that project or not XD Depending on what I work, gauge is not the most important thing, and even if it is some garment, well, if it really doesn’t fit, I always can give it away and make someone else a happy camper!
I enjoy shopping for yarn, but I don’t enjoy re-knitting swatches. I’ll choose getting perfect fit!
Ooh that’s a tough question! I want to say yarn, because, well its yarn 🥰 But I think I’d have to go with perfect fit because that would save so much time, and time is infinitely more precious.
Hi 👋
That’s a tough choice! My automatic impulse was to answer that I’d rather have the perfect yarn for my project in my stash, so I’m going to stick with that!!
i’m definitely in the camp of ‘every new pattern I knit or crochet fits perfectly on the first try with no gauge drama ever!’!
If I went the first option, that means I’d not be purchasing…..
I would love for it to fit the first time. It is one of the hardest for me to get correct.
It’s so beautiful
I would need the perfect fit, no gauging. So far, I’ve never knit anything that is gauge dependent, but I have new yarn coming and I think I’m going to have to do a gauge swatch to get it to fit as I’m going to try to knit my first sweater.
The perfect yarn! I can always frog, but making the thing and then regretting the yarn is a bummer
I would like to have the perfect yarn in my stash so I can start a project right away.
Definitely perfect fit – I almost always have trouble making gauge, and even when I do make it, I have to modify the pattern so that it fits me better (and I don’t always succeed in doing it well). Whereas searching for the right yarn is kinda nice…
I would rathe have every new pattern I knit fit perfectly on the first try!
I’d rather find the perfect yarn in my non-existent yarn stash. I’d love to have a yarn stash though! What fun that would be to shop at home! I knit socks, hats, scarves and blankets the most, and only the first pair of socks I ever made didn’t fit quite right. That was because the instructions didn’t take into account measuring along the arch of the foot. I have VERY high arches so I need a longer sock, as it turns out – a curved line is longer than a straight one connecting the same two end points! So once I adjusted for that, my socks have fit me perfectly ever since. My whole reason to learn how to knit was to knit the most colorful socks I could imagine, and over a decade later, I’m still at it. I also love to crochet, and I make blankets the most. Again, no fit problems with a blanket!
Of course, perfect fit!!!
I think a bit of both – I love the mystery of how a pattern will turn out when using yarn from my stash – I am sometimes guilty of buying yarn because its just soo beautiful and then wait patiently for the Universe to bring the perfect pattern to me. This makes an item more unique to myelf or the person I am gifting it too. A perfect fit would be REALLY nice – but I’m afraid “perfect” doesn’t like living in my beautiful chaotic creative world – I ALWAYS battle to get guage, due to my tension I think, even if using the exact recommended yarn 🙄💜
I would definitely pick always finding the exact yarn I need in my stash!
No gauge drama would be paradise! I never seem to get it right the first time. Finding that perfect yarn is part of the adventure for me. Wishing you every good thing, Chandi! ❤️
Absolutely perfect fit – I enjoy the yarn shopping too much!
Both would be great!!! I really enjoy the art of crocheting and feel blessed to be able to do so. I love beautiful yarns to crochet beautiful garments and blankets with. I enjoy the excitement of finding the perfect yarn.. Having the yarn.,gauge, pattern, hands and mind come together is just amazing.
I would rather have a perfect fit!
Perfect gauge would make me such a happy camper!
Definitely no gauge dramaaaaa 😅
No guage drama would be a dream come true!!!
Perfect gauge ever time!
oh. there’s no doubt: it’s the gauge… because I never get it right. And btw I love buying yarn :-))
I would always prefer a perfect fit every time.
Perfect fit every time!
Oh yarn! But then ,perfect gauge is something to think about.
Hmmm…the dilemmas of life😌
I would love to gave every pattern I knit or crochet be the perfect fit.
Thanks for the opportunity to win such beautiful yarn! I also appreciate your creative prompts for comments. I think I would rather have everything fit. This would apply to making things for other people too.
Perfect fit with no gauge drama.
Who could say no to beautiful free yarn! Creating beautiful garments that fit with no gauge drama would be a dream come true!
Probably the perfect fit would be better.
As much as I’d love to have all the yarn I need for my projects in my stash, I would much rather have a perfect fit without drama!
I would love to have the exact yarn.
I would absolutely love to have every pattern fit the first time. One of my favorite things about crocheting is hunting for the perfect yarn. It’s like a bonus challenge or secret side quest!
Both perfect yarn and perfect fit would be the ultimate dream for me!
Hard question! But I think it’s the perfect fit.
This is a tough one but I have to go with gauge. In pondering those two choices I now believe that’s why I end up with so many wipes.
I would rather have no gauge drama, ever. Wouldn’t that be amazing!
Easy question; no gauge drama, ever!!
I love the fun of seeking out the perfect yarn from the universe, but *hoo-boy* my gauge is variable.
I’m in lust over this month’s giveaway colors! 😍
Definitely the right yarn! Gauging is great for getting centered before I dive into a new project.
I would choose having the exact yarn I need for a project in my stash!
The perfect fit and gauge each time would be a dream come true 😃. Thanks for the giveaway each month! So generous! Gorgeous yarn!!!
Exact yarn I need, no question!
No guage drama?! Where do I sign? That would be the ultimate superpower.
I would definitely have to go with having the exact yarn! I don’t mind making swatches.
I enjoy buying yarn so… perfect fit for sure!
Definitely have every pattern fit perfectly on the first try with no gauge drama ever! So frustrating. Yarn shopping on the other hand, pure pleasure 😇
Perfect fit!
Perfect gauge, for sure. Yarn, I can figure out. But gauge is definitely harder to get.
The perfect fit, definitely! I so easily loose track when counting. Always having to take out a few rows and try again 😜
Oh! The right yarn, especially if it just appears magically! There’s never enough yarm 😍
No gauge drama ever!
Perfect fit all the wayyyyyy!
I’ll avoid gauge drama all day!
I’d rather avoid the gauge drama, I think.
Perfect fit would be great though I’m getting better at the math to make that happens. My philosophy that fitted patterns are a starting point (because every body is different) sometimes gets me in trouble, but that’s all part of learning and growing.
I would love to have a perfect gauge. I tend to not make projects requiring a gauge because even when my gauge is correct things still don’t always work.
The perfect yarn, so that just means full access to your yarn library 🤍 all of your yarns are so beautiful and lovely to work with!
100% I’d choose perfect fit. Yarn is much easier to figure out.
I would rather have the right yarn for my project. I don’t mind frogging and starting over. I truly enjoy the process of making something beautiful.
Definitely to find the perfect yarn in my stash.
Would love being able to knot something and it fit perfectly every time without gauging!
No gauge drama please! I want what I stitch to fit perfectly the first time, every time.
Perfect fit absolutely!
Perfect gauge 100%!
Oh this one is easy, I would definitely prefer to always find the exact yarn I need in my stash. No contest! (Controvercial I suppose hahahaha)
Perfect fit! That would be great!
I’d rather have the perfect fit! A guilty pleasure of mine is buying yarn, or digging into my stash, to match something I feel like making from my library of patterns. Then I want to jump right in to making it!
Gauge for a perfect size or fit!
I think I’d pick the perfect fit. Shopping for the right yarn can be a pleasure, having to frog something because it doesn’t fit is the pits.
I’d definitely opt for perfect gauge and perfect fit on the first attempt.
Hey Chandi, I just love to read your mails filled with such warmth and love❤️
I am the kind who makes the yarn fit the pattern without the gauge drama😊 After all life is about making do with what you have/ get, rather than trying to get what you want. I try out the patterns from your Friday patterns with different yarn styles and feel really happy and proud of the perfect end products.
I think I would prefer every new pattern fit perfectly on the first try with no gauge drama. I get so discourage when I have to frog everything and start over. Many times I just frog it and try something else.
Tough choice, but I think I would go for having the right yarn
That is a tough call but I think always fit right with no guage drama!
This one is tough, as I am currently struggling with meeting gauge right now. But I also feel like that is something that can be learned through repetition. Finding the right yarn, though? That is something that I think would be useful!
Yarn!
No gauge! Fitting perfectly would be wonderful
Oh, that’s easy — YARN!!!
Perfect fit, no swatching for sure!
I have to go with finding just the right yarn. I am kinda lackadaisical with gauging already, and as long as things aren’t too small I don’t mind!
Wow, all these colours are on my list to purchase, I have so many new projects thanks to all your wonderful patterns.
I can’t wait to start Aimer and finish Capullo! Thank you
The exact yarn anytime I needed it for a new pattern would be lovely. I’m always digging through it, and there is a lot of it to dig through – but rarely find the right stuff for whatever new pattern I’m about to try.
I would rather a perfect fit on first try. I hate restarting a project after getting excited over a new pattern and the “just right” yarn.
I truly need to have the perfect fit, I love having the right color (and choices!) and a choice of bases already in my stash–I need it ALL!
Hey there, cosmic creators! 🌈✨
Wow, what a groovy question. If I had to choose, I’d go with the no gauge drama, for sure. Just imagine — no stress, no fuss, just pure flow with every project. No need to worry about measurements or gauge swatches, just letting the creative energy guide my hands. It’s all about that effortless vibe, ya know? Keep it chill, keep it free, and let the yarn and patterns dance together in harmony. Peace, love, and perfect fits, always. ✌️💫
I would like to be able to find the exact yarn in my stash even if I never bought it. I have quite a bit of patience/time to re-work things and experiment; however, my funds are really limited to be able to get my hands on additional yarns.
My stash, especially of fingering weight, usually means I can find what I need.
I would definitely rather have my garment fit perfect every time!
Finding the perfect yarn – I seldom do things that are gauge-dependant anyway
I love picking new yarn to go with my new pattern !!!
Perfect gauge. If I don’t have the right yarn in the stash, it’s an excuse to shop!!!
Wow! That’s a tough one! Who could resist having any yarn you’d ever want in your stash and who wouldn’t love everything fitting perfectly? 😱🤪. I just have to go with the yarn in my stash! Imagine going in and pulling out the perfect yarn for any project. I’m working on the Shala T right now in Syrup. Looking lovely! Thanks agin for great patterns and the wonderful yarn to make them. ♥️
I just love beautiful yarns! Projects come later.
Fit perfect with no gauging!! That is always the most time consuming part
Love to find the perfect yarn in my stash…
Perfect fit would give me the confidence to make garments! Having a bundle of yarn to just squish would be great, too 🙂
Definitely gauge! I’m always so eager to get started when I have a new project ready to go
Honestly, I perfect fit every time would make my world complete! Sometimes I frustrrate myself when I have gauge but adding length to body or sleeves becomes an issue as I am a 6′ tall woman.
I would have to say perfect fit ! No gauge drama would be amazing !!
No gauge drama!! That’s the dream!!!! Thank you for the chance to win! 🙂
Perfect fit would be the perfect thing!
Definitely wish I didn’t have to do a gauge. Always so excited to start my project right away.
I’d rather never do a gauge swatch. I like shopping for yarn so I’d prefer to always hit gauge
Hi Chandi,
Thank you for the opportunity to enter July’s giveaway. I would definitely prefer to find the exact yarn I need right away without gauge drama – especially for fingering weight and sport weight yarns! 🙂
Perfect fit!! It is so discouraging to work to make a wearable only to have it not fit properly!!
Perfect gauge please.
Hi Chandi,
Thank you for this opportunity to enter the July giveaway. I would definitely prefer to find the correct yarn base and colour right away without gauge drama, especially with fingering weight and sport weight yarn!
Oh, no gauge drama. At some point in every project I’m convinced it’s garbage and never going to fit.
I would say perfect gauge so that maybe I’d enjoy and wear my knits much more often! Also, part of the fun in picking out yarn is looking through all the other projects in Ravelry and seeing everyone’s creativity and skills!
Definitely a perfect fit. If I don’t have the perfect yarn, I’m sure my daughter will have it and trade me for what I need. OR I could come here and shop…which is way easier than getting a perfect fit every time!
Perfect fit, no gauge would be amazing!
I would definitely rather have everything fit perfectly without any gauge drama.
I would slightly prefer to always find the exact right yarn in my stash! I hate how often I want to make something and my larger-than-I’d-like stash doesn’t have what I need! However, no sizing issues also sounds so great!
No gauging, none whatsoever. I love all of your patterns and colors of yarn, which is hard for me to pick what. I usually pick the colors that look right to me together and go from there.
Has to be gauge – I knit loosely and it is always tricky to get nervous both stitches per inch and rows per inch at the same time.
Definitely perfect fit without gauge issues! I love yarn shopping and considering all the different options, but gauge swatches are the bane of my existence! And it would be great knowing something I was knitting for someone else was going to fit perfectly!
Totally intimidated by gauge issues, so I steer clear of patterns that call for specific gauging. I’ve only been crocheting for about 6 months so maybe I’ll conquer the fear, but until then – gauge-free patterns for me!
Hard choice. Right now, the stash is large, so my choice is right yarn in my stash. I would have to add the right amount of yarn as well, please 🙂
This is not to say I would not be jumping for joy if I won this month’s give-away. Yes, I make gleeful noises and motions when I am excited and happy!
Oooh, that’s a tough one. Guage drama is mostly why I don’t crochet garments (other than shawls). However, I think I’d have to choose always finding the perfect yarn.
No gauge drama all day long!
I would rather have every pattern I knit fit perfectly. I just finished a sweater that I ripped out completely and started over due to fit issues. It now fits how I wanted it to.
It would be wonderful to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to have everything fit without gauge drama.
I am a believer of gauge swatching! It was a hard lesson to learn, but 100% worth the time. I would love to have the exact yarn I need for a project in my stash. However, I also don’t mind searching for the right yarn for a project either.
Since I nearly always nail my gauge swatches on the first try, I’m going with having the exact yarn I need in my stash- including the yardage requirement, since that’s usually the hard part to meet.
I would love to have the perfect fit and no gauge drama. Love crocheting, but sometimes getting the gauge correct can be trying
I would rather have the pattern fit perfectly with no gauge drama. I HATE gauge drama.
Definitely would prefer no gauge drama! Love playing what do I have in my stash that I could use!
It is so great to find that the perfect yarn for a new project is already in my stash, so I can just dig in to the pattern and start the knitting!
Perfect yarn even if you didn’t buy it. Endless yarn!
No gauge drama! Save it for your mama, llama!!
Perfect Fit for me. Even though having the right yarn in the right colors would be helpful. Another beautiful collection. Thank you Chandi.
I’d rather always have the yarn (since I can’t afford to buy it ). I can always knit the item again.
Definitely perfect fit, no gauging! I would definitely make more clothing then I do now because of the time it takes adjusting over and over again.
the yarn I want/need for a project, every time!
I would love to have wonderful, beautiful, perfect yarn to work with. All the colors to explore and mix and contrast.
find the exact yarn I need in my stash
Gauge. Gotta be the gauge. And fit, of course, for those patterns that SAY they’ll come out to your size but end up fitting a Cabbage Patch Kid.
Yarn! I’ve accepted I will rarely if ever have a perfect fit!
I’ll choose the perfect fit!! It is usually my major problem when I’m knitting clothes 😅
I would absolutely prefer perfect fit with no gauging drama! I HATE gauging! I rarely use the “recommended” yarn for a project most of the time anyway.
Perfect fit! I love yarn shopping too much..LOL Those colors are all so beautiful!
I am a stickler for rules and keeping perfect gauge is one of them.
Awe, can’t I have both???? Fine, if I had to pick I would go with the yarn. 🙂
I’m with “always find the exact yarn you need in your stash” crowd because it is like the yarn gods knew I would need that exact yarn someday! Always a happy surprise to find the yarn you need was sitting there waiting for you.
The perfect yarn, of course! I don’t mind changing hooks or even just adapting a pattern, but I just can’t stand when I can’t find the perfect yarn for a project.
I always fall in love with the yarn…then have to find a pattern to fit! I do the same with sewing.
I would rather have everything fit perfectly.
I would love the perfect fit, but I tend to modify on the fly, so it rarely happens.
Perfect fit 100%
NO. GAUGE. DRAMA! 😉
Oh guaranteed perfect fit would save so much time!
Perfect gauge! Everytime!
I’ll take the gauge!!
Yarn, always—it would be so easy on the budget!
I’d love to find the perfect yarn every time!
Definitely have everything fit the first time. I always struggle with garments fitting correctly. I would be elated to have the magical powers to never have to fight with fit again!
Definitely, perfect fit, no worrying about gauge. I am drawn to projects that gauge is not as critical.
I would hope than my patterns fit perfectly every time. I enjoy yarn shopping. It brings enjoyment to the progect. But I could skip the gauge drama.
Perfect gauge would be amazing! Yarn shopping is always fun and therapeutic 😜
I think having perfect gauge would be wonderful! I have limited time to crochet, and I don’t like having to redo work based on things being the wrong size! 😁
Perfect fit, for sure – not just because gauge can be off, but because I’m hard to fit well. 🙂
Oh I would love to have perfect fitting garments 100 percent. I don’t mind searching for the perfect yarn, it’s my favorite part of the process. Lol
My choice is also the perfect fit! Getting gauge does not always guarantee that for me.
I’d love to lose the gauge drama! Looking at my stash, it’s already likely I have the yarn I’d need for any particular project. If not, or if I can’t find it, then I’ll have to shop for more yarn…oh no…lol
Am I a strange one ? I like doing gauge swatches for each of my projects for many different reasons. So, on that note, I would have to prefer always finding the exact yarn I need in my stash even though I’ve never bought it.
The perfect yarn!! If you have the perfect yarn for every project, you’ll meet gauge.
No doubt patterns fitting without a gauge swatch.
It’s the perfect fit with no gauge drama camp for me!
I would like the perfect fit without having to make a gauge swatch. I never do it.
Mostly everything fits.
I love beautiful hand-dyed yarn. I’ll never complete everything in my stash – but that doesn’t stop me from buying more. 🤦♀️
I would really like having every pattern come out at the right gauge. I enjoy making yarn as well as buying it, so finding the right yarn isn’t a job f me. Getting a sweater to fit is.
Perfect yarn. I learn a lot frogging & redoing for the next pattern, so unless I’d be perfect forever (and no one is perfect), finding yarn let’s me enjoy crochet without extra cost.
Perfect fit with no gauge drama please!
Obvi….with no gauge difficulty or drama!
Hi Chandi. Happy 2025❣️ You have the most beautiful yarns❣️ I hope to own many skeins someday. The items you make are Very pretty and thank you for sharing the free patterns ❣️ I would love to always have the yarn I need for every project. That is sometimes the hard part.
Have a fun and safe Independence Day ❣️ Love is everywhere.
HAPPY CROCHETING ❣️❣️
Oh, I’d much rather have a perfect fit. Frogging is not my favorite sport. 🙂
Oh, these are two very different choices, and I like them both! Even though my gauge-dependent projects usually fit, It is terribly frustrating when they don’t, even after swatching, so I would choose having the project fit without guage drama.
Perfect fit on the first try with no gauge drama hands down double stamp triple exclamation point !!! lol 🤍
I think I’d choose the yarn. I’m a pensioner with cashmere taste and an acrylic budget. As for the gauge, I’m very used to frogging and starting over. But I tend to see a picture and go from there and wing it. Perhaps I should consider finding a pattern first?
Hm, a difficult choice … but getting the right gauge and perfect fit would be marvellous!
Oooh, that’s a tough one for me. Glad I don’t have to make this choice in real life, ha, ha. I think I’d like to have a perfect yarn waiting when I find a pattern that I’d like to make.
Perfect fit! I can’t order anything more fitting than a tee shirt online, so even with proper gauge it’s a crapshoot.
Although it would be wonderful to always have the yarn I need, fitting with no gauge (which I’m not good at) would be my choice.
Ooooh, tough choice! I lean a little toward “perfect yarn” because I also rarely make things that are particularly gauge-dependent, and do love to leap right in with the perfect yarn.
Perfect Guage would be wonderful. So many garments in my wardrobe that aren’t “just right” and a couple of shawls that I had to get inventive with additional yarn on the last couple of rows and bind off.
Hmm… It depends… Probably the yarn, although I definitely wouldn’t want to have to find space for it all!
I would like to buy a kit for the pattern Ispirazione can you send me how much is a yarn .
Perfect gauge!
I would choose the second option of having no gauge drama ever. I have a hard time getting gauge and my crocheting tension is never just right the first time around.
I’d have to go for no gauge drama! Hahaha! It might encourage me to knit more clothing items. 🙂
Gauge swatching has always been a fun challenge, but wanting to cast on, and not having the perfect yarn on hand is a huge bummer. Perfect yarn in my stash?! Yes, please!!!
Um probably perfect fit no gauging
I’ll vote for the perfect fit, no gauge drama, every day of the week and twice on Sunday 😁 It’s so hard to get projects to fit exactly how you want them to, so many variables!
A perfect fit every time!!!
Perfect color always. 🙂
I would love to get the gauge right.
Every pattern fitting perfectly!
For sure having everything fit without doing a gauge swatch! I have only made one wearable and luckily it fit nicely after blocking! I shy away from wearables for the fit problems. I need to stop being afraid and just go for it!
I would opt for finding the perfect yarn, without a doubt.
I would love the perfect fit every time 🤞
Hmm I think I’d rather always find the perfect yarn in my stash! I only really do tapestries and it’d be awesome to always have the colors I need!
Hello:) I would love to always find the exact yarn I need in my stash. I have a very difficult time deciding on the yarn for a project. To take that off the table would help me so much. Good luck to everyone.
Definitely – have every new pattern I crochet fit perfectly on the first try with no gauge drama ever…oh, definitely 🙂
I think I have to say yarn! Half my fun is getting sizing wrong and playing until it’s right.
Having something fit perfectly would be wonderful
Perfect yarn. I like the challenges of learning a new pattern.
Hi Chandi, love the EFA yarn, think I am addicted. So many gorgeous colours to choose, love putting together my own transitional sets from the individual skeins. I am currently building up a bumper size stash so I would choose finding the right yarn for a project in my stash xx
The right yarn, for sure! I’ll manage the gauge, but hunting for that perfect yarn… It takes energy out of me ☺️
Oh goodness, perfect fit!! Also, the fun is in the yarn shopping for the perfect yarn; don’t take that away, lol!
I think I’d rather have things fit correctly without any drama!!! I love shopping for yarn – looking for just the right one for a particular project – it’s part of the fun!
100% No gauge drama! I hate doing gauge swatches.
Ooh can I have both? I’d really like both.
I love these colors, so serene.
Definitely the perfect fit. I’ve yet to make a wearable that actually fits perfectly the first time!
Oh, definitely the right yarn ! I make mostly shawls so gauge isn’t that important to me …for now.
The yarn. I don’t mind reassessing the fit!
Rather have all the yarn
Perfect fit, no gauge needed… every time! Working a gauge swatch always seems sooooo time consuming when all you really want to do is cast on your project!
I would want the exact yarn that I would need in my stash.
Um, totally to have a perfect fit every time! Shopping for yarn is fun. Frogging something that does not fit is not!
Wow as always great colors and selection of yarns. I love having yarn in my stash to pick from for project and I have loved using your yarns in the past. So easy to work with and colors are great. Thank you so much for all you do and dye.
I would choose to the fit perfectly one, definetely 😀
Oh WOW Chandi! This giveaway is amazing! You are so kind to give us the opportunity to win such beautiful yarn. Thank you so much.💖. To answer your question, both choices would be lovely, but if I had to choose just one, it would be the no gauge option 👍😊. Take care and have a great July. ☀️🏖️
I try to buy the exact yarn I need in my stash, for the patterns I’ve printed and put into my notebook. I’m currently working on efa’s Montastraea
I think I would rather the yarn be perfect the first time around. I’ve gotten fairly good a gauging my projects (mostly blankets, hats, and scarves).
Probably the fit, because I’ve shied away from making garments for that reason.
Perfect fit! It can at times be a bit of a challenge to get the perfect fit with the given gauge in a pattern.
Perfect fit! I hate swatching it always lies.
have every new pattern you knit or crochet fit perfectly on the first try with no gauge drama ever
Perfect fit – gauging is important, especially if not using the yarn suggested by the pattern!
I hate having to check gauge so just finding a perfect yarn to work with would be heaven!
I’d love to have the perfect fit!! I’m still pretty new to making wearables, so having no issues with fit would be amazing for me.
Actually both. I’m usually pretty good with gauge but I never seem to have the right yarn for said project. Honestly I can’t choose between the two, so it’s both.
I would love both to be honest
Love, Love, Love those muted tones this month!
I think I’d have to choose the perfect yarn. Being able to find the perfect shade and texture is a treasure to me. I love fiddling with patterns, so the perfect guage can be hit or miss. It’s all part of the fun of “string crafting”.
Have my pattern first without drama!
Perfect yarn! I can re-do if I don’t get the fit I want the first time.
Perfect gauge perfect fit! Definitely!
A perfect fit every time would be amazing!
Perfect fit!! You can always buy yarn but you can’t buy perfect fit/gauge.
I think find the exact yarn in my stash. I don’t have too much problem with gauge.
I would love to have perfect yarn for my projects. Would be amazing to have all the yarn I need for everything I want to make.
No gauge drama, please! What a nice dream.
Tough one, but I have to go with FIT! If I’ve spent so much time knitting something, I’d love for an item to fit perfectly when its done! 💓
I would like everything to fit perfectly. I’ve frogged several things even with checking gauge (which always seems so slightly off no matter what).
No gauge drama! No gauge drama! No gauge drama!
I’d rather always find the perfect yarn. I enjoy playing around with patterns, if nothing was ever wrong I’d never get a chance to make it right!
I would rather have the prefect fit with never doing a gauge then every yarn, though that one is also very tempting. Every yarn is great but only if the pattern you make works for you.
Perfect fit!
I would choose the perfect fit every time. Looking for yarn is half the fun because you I exposed to new yarns and new friends.
No gauging, perfect fit…that would be miraculous! Having the perfect yarn already in my stash would minimize the joy of ordering and getting squishy mail!
I’d have to go with gauge-getting — I have enough stash to be close to SALE at this point, so being able to use what I have and easily make something wearable would be great!@
I would rather have the perfect yarn every time! If I have the right yarn, I can make anything!
Currently, I would say perfect yarn since I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect yarn for a specific pattern for about a month now with no luck. Normally, I would say no fit drama!
Definitely no gauge drama! I’ve accumulated a lot of yarn over the years & if the gauge was always perfect, then whatever yarn I chose would be great by default! 😉
Have every new pattern fit without gauge issues! Saves a lot of frustration of frogging
Oh, to always have the yarn I need for the project would be awesome.
Perfect fit, hands down! Between my goofy as hell body shape and my hatred of swatching/blocking? I’d likely become a sweater knitter for real if I didn’t have to deal with the horrors of tweaking everything. I can always OBTAIN yarn, lol
I would rather always find the exact yarn I need in stash — even if I’ve never bought it 😅 because gauge issues are a standard, tight knitter here!
I would rather find the yarn i need.
I want perfect fit every time. I have 2 local yarn shops within 25 minutes of my house so if I don’t have something in my stash from online orders I can always use an excuse to support the local businesses😉
Oh, no gauge drama ever, please!!! 😂😂
What amazing colorways. as always! I would be thrilled to win, but will always buy from you for special projects. I love Love LOVE your bases and your color recipes are scrumptious! Whoever wins is blessed! Have a wonderful and relaxed July!
This is a hard question, but in the end, I would want the perfect yarn. I have enough skill to adapt the pattern to gauge if I need to. But I’m more interested in exercising my creative interests to make something. Even if it doesn’t fit me, it will fit someone and I pretty much always give away (or occasionally sell) the tings I make, as the process is what interests me the most.
No gauge drama!
Perfect fit for me, it would mean I knit more garments for myself.
The first try with no gauge drama ever would be a lifesaver
Both would be ideal!! I get nervous 😓 when I’m getting close to finishing and I hate playing yarn chicken. But it sucks to knit a sweater for DAYS and DAYS only because it is heavier than I thought and has grown ALOT!! And I want to cry!
No gauge drama ever! I’d save so much time, I could make even more projects 🤩
I am fond of picking yarn to get me the right gauge
I’d love both😁But, picking just one I’m gonna with have everything I knit fit perfectly on the first try…no gauge drama at all!! 😉
I ran into this issue this past week not having more than a few odd skeins of sport weight yarn for the EFA Summer MAL. So I would love to have the exact yarn I need everytime I’m in my stash 😊 what a dream !!
Perfect fit any time!!!!!
I would rather have the perfect yarn in my stash. I adapt most patterns. As this is my birthday month I plan to increase my current stash….hubby doesn’t know this so sssssshhhhhh!!
Decisions, decisions…. I’d love to have a pattern fit without fussing with gauges but beautiful yarn is always so nice.
No gauge drama! I’m super impatient wanting to start my projects immediately.
I have a lovely little stash of my favorite yarns so I’md have to say perfect fit. I’ll looking forward to knitting my first too after I finish my sons scarf.
No gauge drama, please!
I like to have a big stash to choose for every pattern I like…of course.
The perfect fit! There would be so much less worry and more time for more projects!!
No gauge drama for sure!!!
I think I would rather have every new pattern I crochet fit perfectly on the first try with no gauge drama.
Perfect fit for me.
Of course I prefer that there is never a gauge drama! Honestly, I don’t like having to start a project more than once!
Definitely no gauge drama! I’m terrible for skipping that step and paying for it later, though it really does pay to check it! 🙂
I would actually prefer to have the perfect yarn every time. I actually like doing gauge swatches and being able to tailor a pattern to my specifications is part of my joy when knitting or crocheting garments, but finding the yarn for the pattern is the most challenging for me.
Perfect yarn, definitely. I don’t mind swatching, but I always end up buying additional yarn, because the yarn in my stash just isn’t what I had in mind for a certain project!
I would love to have the same yarn, but I like knitting from old (90ties or older magazines), and most yarns are discontinued. So doing the math it is. Love your yarn.
I’d choose to have the yarn at hand always
Having the perfect yarn in my stash would be a game changer!!
Perfect gauge, always a dream. Perfect yarn, always at Expression Fiber Arts. 💜
I’d definitely love to have perfect fit without gauge issues.
That’s tough! I think I’d go for the perfect fit option. Sometimes not having the perfect yarn has resulted in unexpected happy surprises, so I think I’d rather just eliminate the gauge issues. Great question!
A perfect gauge sounds great!
A perfect fit! The first sweater I made was gigantic even though I met gauge. Not sure where I went wrong…
The perfect yarn sitting in my stash without having bought it… just appearing… would be wonderful! One reason I like to buy kits is I’m not yarn confident, but pretty good at getting gauge and adjusting the math for a decent fit.
Perfect fit for everything I knit would be great! And without gauge drama.
I prefer avoiding drama, unless it’s on stage, so I’d take the perfect fit with no gauge drama.
Omg, no gauge drama!!! No contest ;). Can you tell I’m really bad at gauge? Lol with practice comes improvement.
Having everything automatically fit and the gauge be perfect would be wonderful!
I think I’d rather have the yarn, I honestly don’t make many garments other already oversized sweaters or cardigans where “perfect fit” isn’t necessary.
Sometimes I just don’t have the right color/type of yarn, especially when I need something like a semi-solid, simply because I’m drawn to speckly & variegated yarns.
I’d rather have everything fit!
It’s tough, but I would say the perfect gauge. I’ve never had a project not fit but I would love to not have to gauge swatch.
Perfect gauge please! No more swatches and potentially recalculating the pattern to work with the swatch results.
I struggle with getting gauge and then when I think I have it I don’t, the item I’m making is smaller than it should be. Not always a big deal for wraps or blankets but sweaters, well obviously. I can always make room in my budget for yarn…. who needs to eat everyday anyway. 🙂
Perfect fit — as much as my wallet would love the yarn, it’s so heartbreaking to spend hours and hours on a project that just doesn’t end up fitting!
Hi Chandi,
I’d rather have everything always fit perfectly because I like to just jump into a project, and having to frog anything is so disappointing.
Having the perfect yarn in my stash would be a game changer!!
Having the perfect yarn for every single project would be a dream!
Having the perfect yarn would be awesome, but it’s also so much fun to stash dive and see what magic will happen!!
Perfect yarn – no question.
Perfect fit every time with NO GAUGE DRAMA! Yarn shopping is a joy and treat. Swatching is…..not
Hands down – no gauge drama. Seem to always have drama – unless I have plenty of yarn to correct the problems.
I live in a rural area without much other than a grocery store, so running into town for the perfect yarn isn’t an option. Therefore, I would rather find the perfect yarn in my stash so I can start knitting right away. I get so excited when I am lucky enough to find the perfect yarn in my stash. It sorta feels like Christmas morning!
Perfect yarn! Always. Love a great soft yarn.
I would love to have the perfect yarn in my stash.
A tough decision – both options sound great, but if I had to choose, I’d go for not having to deal with gauge issues. Just picking the yarn and getting a perfect gauge right away – that would be amazing!
I would love to be able to knit or crochet something without having to frog it. I agree with that it is soooo disappointing to have worked on something for a few hours and then realize I made a mistake several rows back. Then to have to frog it, especially when it’s a new stitch I am learning.
I’d definitely prefer my knits to fit the first time without gauge drama. I’ve only finished one wearable so far and it did not come out right at all because of this.
Also, if this was the case, then I guess any yarn already in my stash would be usable and the knit would fit without gauge. ☺️
Perfect gauge would be wonderful I’m in the process of ripping back clue 6 of the MCAL due to gauge
I would love to have the perfect yarn in my stash for everything I want to knit or crochet. Like every pattern you put out that I wish to make, and then opening a magical closet and bam the yarn for it is there in the right amount! Probably also solve the issue of my yarn collection storage, knowing I wouldn’t need to have a such a huge amount because what I need would be there at the right time. 🥰 sounds like a fiber artist perfect fairytale!
Perfect yarn for sure. I’ve gotten pretty good at fudging a pattern to fit.
If I could I’d love to have both. But if I must I’d love to have the perfect yarn for the perfect pattern.
I would prefer my knits to fit the first time!
No gauge drama, please! It would save me a lot of time and allow me to actually spend more time knitting.
I’d LOVE the perfect fit option with no gauge swatch!!
Probably the perfect yarn- I enjoy the pattern process so I don’t mind frogging a badly fitting pattern and starting over, but I always want to use the perfect yarn
I’d want to always find the perfect yarn in my stash. Sometimes I have the most beautiful pattern ready to go and I can’t find a yarn for it, or the yarn I want is too expensive for my budget. Knitting and crochet are not cheap hobbies!
I would extend this to also always having the perfect fabric in my sewing stash.
No gauge drama! It would save us time and energy if we didnt have to do the gauge swatch!
To have the perfect speed I had before the painful hands slow me down. Soft yarn helps.
Perfect fit, no question about it.
I would love the perfect fit every time regardless of my weight fluctuating and different ease for summer winter patterns. Magic! Love, Anne
🪷 Namaste
May we all be happy and safe
May we all be free from physical and mental suffering
May we all find peace and freedom
May we all live with ease
May we all abide in love
May you
Perfect fit always. Finding guage is such a chore!
Perfect fit hands down!
Having the perfect gauge for fit would be the best
Perfect yarn! Yarn is so expensive ad I never know hat I need for a project.
A perfect gauge is my always favourite !!
I’d rather have the perfect yarn.
I’d like to get the perfect fit every time. Even when I do have the perfect yarn, I sometimes knit and frog a project several times before I either give up or decide it’s “good enough.”
To always find the exact yarn I need in my stash would be my choise, if it’s perfect it would not need any gauge swatch.
Always have the perfect yarn. The yarn in this giwe away is perfect, I love all the colors!
That’s a tough one…I loooooovvvve yarn!!! It brings me such happiness…is that sad? LOL That said…..if I can’t fit it, then I can’t wear it so it can continue bringing me joy. So I guess my decision would have to be I need a perfect gauge/fit.
I would much rather have everything fit juuust the way I want it. Made my hubs granny square shorts that didn’t fit right, so I turned them into a tunic today and that doesn’t fit quite right, but I will get it!
I would love to find the perfect yarn from my stash!
Perfect fit, every time! Not having to rip the whole thing out and start over would save so much time and increase morale!
Hmm… probably perfect fit since, sadly, I don’t have much of a stash now 😞
Both sound great, but to not have to purchase new yarn for a bit sounds better for my wallet, so I’ll choose the stash busting option for now! I love your designs, your yarns and your lovely attitude. Thanks for everything!
I would prefer perfect gauge. If I always had the perfect yarn then I’d never need to shop new yarn, and that feels like a bummer.
I think finding the perfect yarn is part of the fun, so I would choose always having a perfect fit!
I would always like the right yarn in my stash, which helps with getting the right gauge. That would also save time with finding the right/comparable yarn to a pattern and I would get more done!
Soooo hard, but perfect yarn wins for me 🧶❤️
Hi Chandi, thank you for this opportunity! I would love a neverending stash! I’m on the struggle bus with my gauge, as a newish knitter/crocheter, (4 yrs) but am improving as I go! ❤️
To be honest.. Everything you make is amazing… But I do love it when I work on a cardigan… And it actually fits🥰
Like you have said before.. There’s nothing like working hard on something for yourself.. And bonus when it fits.. Thank you for being you.. So glad I found you on Pinterest 😘
I would love to have the perfect yarn in my stash so that when I decide to start a new sweater (for me it is always another sweater) I have exactly what I need
I would rather the yarn magically appeared from a never ending stash. I would share with all the people who love to create, you know, share the love.
While I would definitely love to have an unlimited stash, I have to say that having every new pattern fit perfectly on the first try with no gauge drama ever is the clear winner. I cannot even guess the amount of times that something I wanted to make for myself has ended up being gifted to someone else because it didn’t quite fit right. Or projects that get frogged or sit as WIPs indefinitely for the same reason… So yes, the perfect fit is the gift I’d like to be blessed with, please!!
I’d love to have the perfect yarn. I’m so bad with patterns still; I need that extra help of a tutorial or just doing the basics so yarn is never mean.
