Knitting gives me relaxation and a sense of accomplishment.
Crafting calms my mind.
I love finishing a project and being able to admire the piece. Gives me a sense of pride.
Knitting is very calming. In today’s world, it’s nice to lose yourself in a very meditative state. You will also have something to give away what you made!!!!!
I love the possibility of what I can make and then the feeling of accomplishment when I actually finish something!
I love being able to make the clothes I want exactly how I want them to be (or almost)!
I love creating gifts for the people I love to enjoy and I love how calming crocheting is. Thank you 💝
I love fiber arts because there is something so satisfying about creating a physical manifestation of the project you envisioned in your head. It’s such a beautiful way to create and express myself through knitting and crocheting.
I love how crafting calms and relaxes me at the end of a busy day!
It’s my happy place. I get to feed my creative side and relax at the same time.
I love how relaxing crafting is and the sense of accomplishment I get when I finish a project.
Crochet and knitting gives me a creative outlet and a sense of pride. I love creating but I need something that I can pick up and put down as needed.
Mi da tanta soddisfazione
I like the most the creative part and the relaxing part of knitting.
For me crafting gives me a much needed creative outlet– I dream up new projects and ideas while working and doing chores and sometimes when I should be sleeping!
Crafting creates peace, comfort and balance to the chaos. So grateful for a grandmother and mother who passed their crafting to me starting at 9 years old. Sixty years later, my 9 year old grand daughter has asked me to teach her.
Knitting and crocheting keep me calm! And I love accomplishing new patterns and stitches!
I love looking at what I create and feeling a great sense of accomplishment.
Crafting is just a great way of being creative and to do something useful with your own hands. To see a pattern come to life is almost like magic.
I also love that it helps me to relax and focus on something positive.
Hi Chandi,
Crochet and knitting is my way of winding down and relaxing at the end of a busy or not so busy day.
I love the accomplishment of finishing a handmade project that can be enjoyed for many years.
Oh, I made that!😁
That after enjoying the process, a useful item results from one’s efforts.
Beautiful yarn. I imagine it is a dream to work with.
Knitting and crocheting give me a way to relieve anxiety.
I love to craft because you get to see something come to be what it is going to be. As I craft I often take longer because I am too busy falling in love with the way it is coming together. But once it is done and see it on someone and see the brightness that lights up on the receiver of this gift, just warms my heart.
Crafting is a great way to relax after a stressful day, and you have something tangible and beautiful when you are done!
Hi Chandi,
What splendor ! You’re a master of color ! And what’s even better, once we’ve tested your yarns, is that we then know they’re as qualitative as they are beautiful!
What i love about crafting : constantly creating and exploring new techniques. 🙂
A few things that I love about crafting is the sense of accomplishment, being able to handmake a gift for someone that I love, and being able to keep my hands busy.
I love all the beautiful yarns that go into a project!
Oh that green is GORGEOUS
I love mornings with my coffee and knitting or crocheting before the rest of the house wakes up. This is my only ‘me time’s. Until they all go to bed at night.
I love crafting because the projects i craft giveme a sense of purpose, allows me to be benevolent to my community, puts smiles on peoples faces, and helps others handle tough situations of life. It is more beneficial to others than to myself and I love that
Good colors
Beautiful colors as always! Love, Love, Love!!!
Crafting helps me clear my mind and relax. It is very meditative to just sit and knit for an hour or two in the evening before bed. For the same reason, I even enjoy just sitting and unknotting yarn balls. I’m not so much a “finisher” of things I make, though. I enjoy the process but don’t need to finish a project before moving on to something else.
Knitting gives me an outlet for the creative person I used to be when I was younger.
I love the process of seeing something form out of string. When I made my first top I remember getting to the point I could try it on. I told my husband “look! It looks like a shirt!” 😄❤️
I love seeing the project come together! There is nothing like looking back and admiring how far you have come.
For me Crafting is relaxation, and the satisfaction of making something beautiful and functional, whether that’s a crochet sweater or quilt to snuggle under.
The peacefulness 🙂
Something that I love about crafting is that there’s no limit to the possibilities of what you can create.
Knitting and crafting can be “me time” or time passing on skills to my children. I love both see scenarios.
I love it when whatever project it is I’m making comes together in ways I didn’t think of at first, it’s like a little surprise, I find it so satisfying when this happens.
For me, crafting is my happy place. A very relaxing form of expression.
Gasp! All the pinks and greens?! My all time favorite!! I love the hope and possibility of creating – like “how will this turn out?” Lol. I always hope good, but sometimes it hasn’t, yet I continue to try again. There’s really something so amazing about seeing the finished product, whether a loaf of bread, string, fabric, paper, or paint, and thinking, “wow, I made that!”
I love to make things and give them to friends.
Looking touching and working with fiber checks all my inner boxes for fun! The potential that each skein and project hold is what is the biggest draw for me. Thank you for the opportunity to participate in the giveaway
Crafting is self-care time for me. I can shut out the world for a bit.
Crafting is my therapy and relaxes/calms me when feeling stressed. I love finishing a project and enjoying the end result. Crafting brings people together and we need this now more than ever!
Crafting has always been a stress reliever for me. I love getting to craft after a long day.
I love the act of making something I know someone I love will enjoy and cherish
I love crafting because I can customize the things I create to fit my not-compatible-with-off-the-rack-clothing body. Plus, it’s satisfying to make something myself!
I love being able to make something unique and pretty. Plus it is so relaxing
I love that the things I make are my special hugs, for my special people
What I love about crafting is that by changing elements such as colors or stitch order, count or pattern, whatever I’m making becomes uniquely mine and possibilities are endless!
What I love best about crochet is that it keeps my hands and mind busy, focused on something productive. And I get something pretty or practical out of it that I can enjoy or give as a special gift to someone I love.
I love creating new tangible, beautiful projects like shawls and cardigans that I can give as gifts or wear myself! I feel so proud of myself every time I learn a new technique and make something new. Thank you for the gorgeous yarn!
When I knit I love to see what it’s going to look like one stitch at a time. It’s very rewording.
I transforming a simple material into something beautiful
I love that I can create something beautiful and practical that someone can use and enjoy; almost everything I make is given away, either as a gift or for charity. I also love the friends I’ve made in the groups I attend three times a week. Their welcoming support and camaraderie have truly enriched my life.
Hi Chandi, I love everything about your beautiful hand dyed yarns! And everything about knitting yarn into creative, unique wearable art🧶Crafting brings me a sense of calm serenity in this often chaotic world of ours.
This months yarn giveaway is stunning! Many thanks, Alice
I love knitting the most. It keeps my hands busy and at the same time relaxes me!
I enjoy trying different crafts, it’s always fun to see the finished project!
I love the accomplishment and the process of making something. More importantly, when knitting or crafting a gift, my mind and heart are filled with love and reminiscing of memories of that person. My hope is these intentions will lift them every time they wear or use what I’ve made and they feel embraced with love
Crafting gives me the creative outlet I need.
Knitting and crocheting gives me a sense of peace and calm as well as a sense of accomplishment
Relaxing while creating something unique for myself or someone special.
The peace it brings me!
I love the opportunity to be creative, the chance to experiment and the ability to learn new techniques.
I love crafting; allows me to express my individual self
Crafting is a great way for me to relax & express my creativity
I love the feeling of accomplishment when I learn a new skill. And how there are literally endless possibilities with just yarn and needles ( or a hook).
I use crocheting as a relaxing hobby. I like to see my creations. Gives me a sense of accomplishment.
I also love seeing how colors go together.
Crafting is my way to be creative.
I can focus on fun projects for myself and friends and family!
I love the feel of the fiber as I crochet or knit, I love that I’m doing something my grandmother’s taught me almost 60 years ago.
Your yarns are beautiful. Knitting is my way of relaxing. No matter how stressful my day was after doing a couple of rows stress is fading away
I love the calming it provides!
Crafting brings me pure joy.
I began this year knitting the beautiful Journey Shawl and I am half way through.
While I knit, I ponder and look forward to life’s journey ahead.
Crafting for me counts as “Me time” and i love how you get beautiful products out of it, for yourself or to give to others. Plus it makes my brain busy 🙂
I love knitting because it is so relaxing. But it also gives me a feeling of accomplishment, a chance to learn something new with every pattern, and a sense of adventure working with new yarn knitting new projects.
I love how it relaxes me. Yes, sometimes the pattern can be complicated, or one makes a mistake, but that is part of the journey of creating something special. I always try to make sure I do some crafting in the evenings before going to bed.
The ability to create without rules!
Hi Chandi
I just love to see what comes off my needles or my hook. A skien of yarn looks so beautiful, but when you put it to your needles, it’s even more gorgeous.
It’s always wonderful to see your finished project and it makes you feel good,
Have a great day Chandi
Sending Big Hugs💕💕
Love all the Beautiful colors in this month giveaway
I love crafting because. I love to see what’s in my head come to life. It’s very satisfying even with the mistakes I make
Thank you so much for another beautiful give away! I have recently left a relationship with someone who was very negative about me knitting and crocheting, so I am enjoying the reconnection to crafts I love and the gifts I am able to make ❤️
I love the amazing community that crafters form, from the local groups all the way up to national and international groups. Sharing patterns and tips besides cheering each other on as we try new things. We also share our other passions with each other. It’s also so needed at this time with what is going on in the world. Crafting brings so much into our lives and has a positive benefit to our overall health.
Crafting is calming and at the same time exciting. I’m always trying to find something new and challenging. It brings me joy to make things with my own hands and gift them. My craft of choice right now is crocheting and knitting.
Someone else mentioned this as well. crafting, to me, is self-care. It forces busy clutter out of my mind and fills it with something creative and beautiful.
To me, knitting is relax and I love seeing something beautiful growing under needles, pure satisfaction in creating 💜
Crocheting brings my stress level down so much! Especially with your lucious yarns! Cindy
I love the feeling after finishing a project especially if its a gift. Looking at what you can create with beautiful yarn.
I love the therapeutic rhythm of crafting. There is not a day that goes by that I don’t pick up fibre and tools to create something. It is an inherent part of who I am.
Crafting can be so therapeutic for me. It keeps my mind occupied and gives a sense of accomplishment, not to mention, results in (if I do say so myself) some beautiful things.
I love that crafting, especially crochet makes me relax, think and happy! Also looking for yarn is my happy place.
I love creating something special when I knit a project for a gift or myself.
Love the soothing rhythm of crocheting gifts for loved ones and selecting patterns/colorways that are personalized to reflect the individual’s interests/styles.
I love that crafting lets me be creative and productive!
I love the repetitive calming nature of crocheting. I also love seeing the finished product when completed knowing that I made it.
I love how peaceful it makes me feel and also the things I can create.
What I love about crafting is sometimes I just want to be alone, in my own world, with my own thoughts and prayers and make something beautiful while I’m at it.
I love the meditation of repetition in knitting.
Crafting has always been a hobby I love because it’s so satisfying to create something using my bare hands. I’ve dabbled with scrapbooking, handmade friendship bracelets and jewellery, but crochet was the one that really got me hooked! And when I’m not crocheting, I’d watch videos of crocheting, knitting, embroidering, macrame, etc. It’s so mesmerising
I love working with my hands – crafting, building, whatever. The process of making is as, if not more, important than the result.
i love crafting, especially crocheting and painting whenever i get some time. i keep a couple of crochet wips(your patterns) near my desk to work on while I’m in meetings to keep my fingers busy! it is so relaxing
Crafting, especially knitting helps me feel grounded and relaxed. If I mess up a row, section etc. then I get a sense of determination and accomplishment after it is fixed. Love using your quality yarn. I have your balmy pattern and yarn in my bag for a knitting retreat next week. Can’t wait!!!
My hands need to keep busy, so Knitting and crocheting makes them happy. Beautiful selections this month!
Crafting is my relaxing time.
I love your patterns and beautiful yarns. They give me inspiration for creating prophecy!
I love crafting! How else can you make a gift for someone that that’s both unique and beautiful?
Sometimes it’s just the process & not the results that make you happy.
Crocheting brings my stress level down so much! Especially with your lucious yarns! Cindy
Even when I mess up, I can always try again. The yarn can be reused and time wasn’t wasted, because I enjoyed the process anyway!
Oh My! These are gorgeous spring”y” colors!
Crafting has been a part of my life since I was a little girl. Some crafts challenge me, some are a soothing, all are a reward for my creative soul.
I just love making something out of (seemingly) nothing! It’s magical ☺️
Ohh! Love the colours! For me knitting is relaxing, challenging, and sometimes frustrating.! I like to try difficult patterns to keep my mind sharp and fingers nimble. It’s just part of who I am!
What I love about making is the fun and the challenge of figuring out what I have to do to get the result I want (sweater math or pattern design) then once I have done it enjoying the accomplishment and being able to use or wear the finished product. Sweaters, tops, project bags, travel organizers.
I love that the self-expression required of creativity is so healing ❤️🩹
I love that it can be as easy or as difficult as I want it to be…
Do I want something simple? I’ll just cast-on a basic sock.
Do I want something that will require weeks of planning, math and concentration? I’ll design or heavily modify a colorwork sweater or something.
The options are endless, and I’ll always love what I end up with…
Many things, really. For once crafting grounds me, gives balance to a stressful life. It’s also so fulfilling to have something you make with your hands by the end of the process. And last but definitely not least I am someone who wants to always continue learning and with crafting the possibilities are endless!
on a side note, those colour fit m wedding colour palette perfectly 🥰
I love watching craft supplies–yarn, paper, blobs of paint–become something wholly new. It’s very soothing, and the puzzle of figuring it all out is so much fun.
I love knitting, crocheting, needlework, making photo books and quilting because it makes my mind go to happy places where I see the beauty that abounds and not the ugliness.
I enjoy knitting and gifting my creations to friends and family. I enjoy making for myself as well, but I really enjoy gifting my projects to others.
Crafting gives me a great sense of accomplishment at the end of a project. After crocheting for the grandkids requests all year, I’m finally making a mosaic blanket for hubby and I to cuddle up in. I also paint in different mediums when inspiration hits. Your yarns are a feast for the eyes.
I love being inspired and tweaking a crafting idea idea /pattern/color scheme to be something super personal for myself or to give as a gift for someone.
I love the feeling of creation while crafting. I love knowing I’m spending time developing a skill.
Crocheting has always help me unwind. Been doing afghans for a long time. I am learning to knit by you tube. Not sure I like it yet. Would like to know more about the different yarns. Only have used worsted weight. I have started some shawls.
I love that I get to create something! At the end of the relaxing process, I have a cute little souvenir! And I love the inspiration I get from the other creative people in my community 🙂
I love crafting as a creative outlet and a way to keep my hands busy as I watch TV 🙂
Crafting calms my chaotic mind. It goves me something to do with my hands and paying attention to the pattern keeps my mind from wandering to much.
I like the creativity and relaxation of crafting projects!
I love that crafting eases my stress & lets me forget about all that’s going on in the world! It also gives me a feeling of accomplishment making things for my family, friends & charity☺️And, the crafting community is simply the best🥰
Because when I’m enjoying it I don’t feel the time
Having time to myself and creating something beautiful❣️
I love crafting because it helps get rid of my nervous energy.
Hello to all beautiful souls here including Chandi 💖 There’s so much I enjoy about crafting, I love being creative and I love all of the possibilities that new gorgeous supplies provide you with!!! If I’m lucky enough to win, I will definitely be doing a happy dance!!! I lost alot of my crafting supplies when my mother passed away about a year ago 💔 😢 so this would be like a dream come true to win. Thank you!
Crafting, especially when trying new crafts, fulfills a very strong desire in me to learn and strive for mastery – not always achieved but it is in the trying that fulfillment arrives.
Crafting has always been my chosen form of meditation. It soothes and relaxes me like nothing else.
I love the calmness knitting and crochet add to my life. The rhythmic actions created between my hands, the fibers and the needles is both soothing and energizing.
I love planning, creating, and then seeing how the final project comes together.
Crafting allows for a different type of peace to be in ones soul. When one crafts one mind, heart and body transforms many things into one unique offering of the use of time wisely spent. All handcrafting methods allow for failures and triumphs as you work to solve designs elements.
I love the texture of a special luxurious yarn, the relaxing, almost meditative feeling I get from knitting/ crocheting but if i want to I can challenge myself with a more advanced pattern. Definitely good for my mental health.
What I love most about crafting is that it soothes my nervous system in a way that no other activity can.
I love have crafting relaxes me and clears my mind.
I love the creativity of crafting, both knitting and sewing. While I’m not quite at the point of creating entire patterns yet, I often change published patterns to make my own unique creation.
It calms me and keeps me present
I love that feeling of learning a new stitch to create something special for someone.
I love just relaxing into the process.
Time to just be, to relax and to create in the quiet of
the morning while it is still not the busy part of the day.
Life demands time from us, we can only give when we nurture ourselves.
Time to craft, even if it is just for twenty minutes a day, gives us joy.
Fiber entwined in my fingers, creating a treasure for me, a loved one , or charity, is a love affair. I simply cannot be without needles, or hook or hoop in hand.
Now, when you have glorious yarn to work with with……..
Chandi, thank you for this opportunity .
macia
I love how relaxing and creative crafting can be. The best part is you can make it whatever you need at the moment. Stressed and just need to Zen? Pick something easy and monotonous so that your mind can drift. Feeling pent up? Pick something that makes you think and get out of your comfort zone.
Crafting brings me peace and also allows me to express myself. I started knitting as a way to control my anger and it has now brought me so much joy and creativity that I pass on to others. Yarn has truly transformed my life!
Hi
I love to crochet as my crafting it brings me such joy and relaxation. I love to gift or giveaway my shawls and blankets and scarves
Crafting relaxes me and lets my mind take a mental break from “life!”
What I love most about crafting is that it is my own little getaway. .I get to sink into a project and that is my whole world for a short time. When I surface from my space, I have a beautiful (sometimes) item that came from my hand. It is relaxing and uplifting at the same time
After a lifetime of logic-based careers, crafting is helping me get my mojo back; I finally feel creative and artistic. And nobody’s laughed when I wear my projects out!
Crafting for me is knitting and it makes me feel calm and productive. I love watching the project grow with each stitch and row/round.
Crafting gives peace… A sense of calm.
I like to keep my hands busy.
I love that crafting gets my mind off of things and helps calm me. Bonus is that I end up with something in the end! It’s really cool watching projects develop and come to life over time.
The peacefulness of the process 😌
What I enjoy about crafting is the creativity. I may start with an inkling of an idea from something I have seen, but then add my own thoughts to the process.
I also love finishing a project!
Thanks for the opportunity to win such amazing fibers!
I love the feeling of accomplishment, I am not someone who is naturally creative so to have found something that I can actually do has just been wonderful!
I love working with raw materials and then holding something that didn’t exist before I started. I enjoy the mystery of how my hands will interpret a pattern or instructions. I also find it soothing.
As many before have said crafting is relaxing, enjoyable, and soothing. Truly takes me to a happy place, especially when I can make something for someone else and bring joy to them!
I love the process of planning and then seeing a creation take shape. Crafting is a mindful outlet for me and the options for creativity are truly boundless.
It’s the sense of accomlishment when I can wear something I’ve made. But I also choose my projects for the new skills I can learn from each one. This year is stranded knitting and socks and gloves.
I truly LOVE creating something with my own hands! Besides knitting I also needlepoint. I love the process and then end result!
I find it relaxing and it keeps me sane in this crazy world 😉
Love these colors ❤️ I love the feel of a soft yarn running through my fingers, and also finding just the right color pairings!
Crafting to me give me a sense of accomplishment and fulfillment. It reminds me that I can create something lovely, and I don’t have to be an expert to do that.
Knitting and crocheting helps me to relax when I am having a bad day. It allows me to achieve something and pass my skills onto my kids
Keeps my hands busy and my mind occupied by non-worried thoughts
I love crafting because it gets me into “the Flow” in a way that I am fully immersed and focused forgetting time and my worries. Also, I love that special feeling of creating something that didn’t exist before.
What I love about knitting is to make something unique, a combination of pattern idea and materials that brings an idea to reality. It is also very gratifying to see how my skills have improved with time and experience.
Hello Chandi! I love the accomplishment of finishing. I admire and feel proud.
There is so much that I love about crafting –
the calm of repetitive garter/stocking st in the round;
the challenge of new patterns and techniques (I’m working on the beautiful Tessitura right now, with the loops and the k7tog!);
the grounding effect of having a project in my hands for otherwise “empty” time;
the ability to make a garment or thing *exactly* as I want it by tweaking colours, materials, sizing – which goes for sewing, too;
the joy of my man receiving compliments for his Svalbard sweater (with stranded colourwork ice bears) and bringing them back to me :o)
I love the joy of creating. The process is rhythmic and soothing and the outcome is a delight.
Crafting has become a way to silence my mind, work with my hands and challenge myself to learn more advanced techniques. It creates a sense of accomplishment and the hit of dopamine I need when the project is done!
It’s my therapy. It lowers my blood pressure and yarn is cheaper than a therapist!! And more fun 🧶😊
I love crafting on so many levels! Just off the top of my head:
1. I love the feeling of accomplishment that I get because I have made something
2. I can give something handmade to someone to show that I appreciate them
3. I can help people in need
4. I can help raise money for a good cause by donating something that I’ve made
I love that crafting can be done in so many ways. It allows for a more complete expression of one’s self.
I love the sense of calm, peace and out of my thoughts feeling it gives me.
Fiberarts keeps my hands busy, my mind engaged and relaxes me during stressful times, upheavals in my live and just for the joy of it. I love planing a project, choosing fiber and/or yarn and eventually ending with a garment to keep or gift to friends and family.
Crafting gives me “ME TIME” away from the rush of life! The end products are very rewarding and when gifted those who receive are well impressed! Albeit it be sewing, knitting, crotchet or dying yarn just the process is calming and eenjoyable.
There are many things I love about crafting, but if I’m going to be completely honest here, what I love the most is the yarn. Selecting the project I’ll do is fun, working on it is fun, but winding those hanks into cakes makes me smile! Good luck to everyone for a chance to win all this lovely yarn!
I love knitting and crocheting with new-to-me yarns!
I find knitting to be a de-stressor and a way to reset.
I find crocheting to be relaxing and such a stress relieverr.
I think of my career as planting seeds I never get to see grow, so I love being able to see the final product of the process.
I like crafting because it helps to calm my chaos. It gives me the time to reset my brain and centre my being so I can venture forth and do battle!!! Also, its kinda cool to wear something I’ve made, all with sticks, hooks and string!
Hi Chandi,
Thank you for this giveaway opportunity. Knitting is extremely therapeutic for me, bringing relaxation and joy, especially when I get to use such shimmering and beautifully coloured yarns as yours! 🙂 I love the thrill and satisfaction of creating something stunning for the people I love – and for myself too!
I love crafting as it is a way to express my love for someone tangibly through what I create. Crafting can be both relaxing and challenging as there is always something that can be learned. I knit and crochet as well as dabble in other things.
My crafting – lately a lot of sock knitting, crochet and occasionally other needle arts – helps calm my mind. It’s my zen. These days it’s more important than ever for me.
Knitting and Crocheting is how I destress and unplug from the world.
I either plug into my latest audiobook or just a contemporary jazz station on my phone and let the stress lessen with every stitch and row.
Hello Chandi
First Thankyou for this opportunity. I have been following you for several years actually. Love your shawl patterns in both crochet and knit. And your gorgeous colors in yarn.
Have made many of the patterns, some helping to advance my ability.
And your just so sweet.
Taking one thing and turning it into something else.
Knitting offers me moments of mindfulness and calmness.
It’s relaxing & gives me a sense of accomplishment.
Look at all that lovely yarn! The greens alone 💓
I love to craft. It pulls me out of the “bad neighborhood” in my head and relaxes me, and in the end I have something to show for it.
I love learning new techniques in knitting and the confidence it creates in me that I can do it.
Completing a project is SO satisfying!
Knitting and crocheting give me time to relax.
I love how relaxing it is, but also the act of creation is so stimulating. Its made even better when I make something as a gift to someone else (as most of my yarn projects are), to see how much joy it has given them.
I love crafting because I can see beauty developing under my fingers! It is a joy to create.
As someone with ADD, knitting & Crochet help me to focus.
I never thought I’d say this, but i’m currently loving seaming together a bag I knit up! It’s so repetitive and I really get in the groove of finding the stitches to seam, leaving some slack while I work, and then pulling it all through once I’m sure the seam looks correct.
Crafting, knitting, spinning relax me and keep my brain busy!
Hello Chandi and the entire EFA team,
Crafting gives me a sense of calming accomplishment.
I can get lost in the creative process and reset from a sometimes difficult day.
Working with EFA products is a calming experience in and of itself. I can’t express enough how I love your products ❤️
I love the happiness of people who get something I made. I also like how it relaxes me.
I really love watching a bunch of yarn become a beautiful finished project. It makes me feel accomplished.
I’m fairly new to crochet, but I’m loving how I can lose myself in a project for literally hours, and have something tangible to show for all those hours of play time at the end…unlike when I binge-watch my favorite tv series! And the recipients of my projects have all seemed to love them, so….win-win!
I love seeing how a project grows under my hands, and being able to wear my own creations.
How I so enjoy crocheting! I started out making lop-sided blankets and have educated myself enough to create beautiful shawls, afghans, wraps, potholders, doilies…I discovered Chandi’s yarn and fell in love! I now have lots of yarn, but crave more of her luscious stock! I hope to one day create a cardigan or cute top!
The satisfaction of completing something! So many things in my life are perpetually undone, it’s encouraging to actually finish.
I love how crochet takes my mind off of everything else, specially amigurumi making. It also soothes me and gives me a sense of accomplishment as nothing else can right now.
Crafting gives me an outlet for my creative side. I just love “making”
Whether crocheting, knitting, or engaging in other artistic crafts, I love the creative process and making something beautiful. As others have stated, it’s my happy place.
Crafting is the best stress relief there is. Terrific occupational therapy.
What I love about knit, crochet, embroidery and fancy sewing is the way you can watch your fingers and see the project grow before your eyes. It migh s well be magic. When working with yarn you get the added bonus of how the fiber feels in your hands.
The simplest of things really: watching 1 strand/string become something is the true wonder of both knitting and crocheting for me.
I love learning something new! I love feeling that I CAN be creative and expressive and make beautiful things and maybe even be an artist, despite a lifetime of telling myself I was not artistic because I could never figure out how to draw or paint or any of that.
I love being able to keep my hands busy and create something that makes me or someone I love smile!
Love playing with color and making something unique
They say that you eat with your eyes, which is true. For those of us who love yarn, I think that we also eat with our eyes because we see the beautiful colors and textures whether the color is soft and soothing or wild and eye-popping and the texture is silky or rough and we just have to have it!
I love all kinds of crafting but have come to limit myself to knitting, sewing, crocheting, making soap, and gardening. Crafting helps me center and ground myself and it feels good to give someone something that they could never afford to buy unless freely given, particularly when they love whatever it is.
I love crafting and knitting especially, the yarns, the colors, the feel of them. It’s a great escape for me, especially during these long winter months. I find I don’t stress at all when working with lovely wool yarns, so cozy. And brings back memories of when I would knit with my grandmother and make afghans. Lovely times!
I love crafting because it takes my mind away to a better place anf keeps my family warm 💜
Creating is meditative for me, keeps me grounded and connected to my roots, and is super fun.
Crafting for me is relaxation. In these days of stress, my yarn and needles and hooks are my lifeline!
Crafting (especially knitting) is absolutely my “happy place”. It calms me and helps me appreciate the fact that I can make something useful (not to mention gorgeous!) and be happy at the same time.
I love how I feel connected to my grandmothers through this craft. I find it soothing to think about them and my relationship with them and how much they taught me over my childhood.
The feeling of accomplishment. The euphoria of creating something thanks to my skills.
The thing I love the most about crafting is watching what I am making grow and become what it is going to be.
I use crafting to calm me after a tough day at work or just to enjoy the colors and textures of the yarn I’m using. I get a boost with each finished project. Crafting is my happy place.
I love a challenge/puzzle. So I enjoy trying new techniques and modifying patterns to fit with satisfactory results.
I love being able to gift the things that I make to bring the receiver joy.
My favorite craft is crocheting and I love it because of the calm it gives me when I create something colorful.
I love to see all the bits and pieces of things that I put together become a beautiful piece of art. Whether it’s with yarn or any other items.
I love crafting for being able to gift beautiful and colorful items to family and friends and it allows me to keep busy as well.
It is very calming for me. I love the confidence boost when I actually finish something I started. The best thing I love is having something in common to share with my sister. It’s something we can do together.
I love crochet and crafting , because it takes your mind off of everything and just lets you enjoy making something beautiful.
Crafting is my daily stress relief! I also have joy and a sense of accomplishment from creating objects from different materials and working with different textures and colors. I also love gifting projects I’ve made to friends and family.
Seeing something I’ve made with my own hands gives me such joy and motivation. I can make beautiful things and this world needs more beautiful things.
Crocheting was how I first got into fiber arts, but now I also knit. My dear friend taught me how to knit and we get together twice a month to drink tea, catch up and crochet and knit together. Crafting is not only a source of joy for me, but a way to bond over the time shared and the experiences of learning a new skill.
I enjoy so many different types of crafts
I weave, knit and love card making. There’s something so special about receiving or giving something you made its much more exciting!! I ❤️ watercolors a I find inspiration everywhere! I LOVE learning different techniques I didn’t know. I’ve tried just about everything but I’ve NEVER made a wearable garment or socks.Dang it ! It seems so difficult. Sleeves and socks! I keep hoping someone will do a unboxing for the EFA yarn giveaway. I’ve never seen one and would love ❤️ 😍 to see all the beautiful skeins!!!!! Maybe 1 day I’ll win 🏆 and that’s the 1st thing I’ll do is video my unboxing from Expression Fiber Arts. Critical people have said it is an info and subscriber grab. garb Like some say. My entire
I love:
* The ability to CREATE something.
* There is always something to LEARN and so many different aspects and avenues to EXPLORE.
* Being able to CUSTOMISE a project to meet a need.
I especially love crafting when I can get together with my friends. Seeing how with the same items everyone’s projects come out so differently.
I love making crafts because it is my alone time. And apart from that, I create something beautiful that can then be used every day for many years. I put my heart and intention into the elements which will then follow. Truly wonderful.
I love using my hands to make something beautiful. I love the colours and the feel of the materials that I’m using. That is really important to me.
My favorite thing about crafting is sharing something I made with others. Whether I’m gifting it to someone or showing it off to friends and family, sharing something soft and lovely that I made with my own time and gumption fills me with pride and confidence that I lacked for a long time.
I love the way crafting calms my brain and my nervous system. It’s also great that I can do something for myself while making something special for someone.
I love the fact that I can create !
I love the sense of calm and the sensory experience of crafting. Especially when working with a super soft yarn. And don’t even get me started on all the gorgeous colors!
It makes my heart happy when I gift an item and they are thrilled with it.
I love working with my hands, and when I knit I feel like someone from olden days when they knitted because they had to and it’s just charming.
Fiber arts gives me connections with my grandmother and the aunts on my father’s side that did so many crafts. From them I learned embroidery, crochet, quilting, and a few attempts to teach me to knit. I finally “went outside the family” and took a class at a local yarn shop with friends. The next generation has already picked up a few of the “traditions”. It’s a good way to relax and I’ve made a bunch of friends through crafting in various public spaces. Our local libraries host events and provide meeting space for various groups.
I love that creating things redirects my mind toward constructive, positive things, especially when everything else feels like uncontrollable chaos.
I love the relaxation of it, and how it can bring people together — there’s an instant kinship with other crafters.
Yarn makes my heart an soul happy and knitting is the finishing touch ♥️
Crafting and creating something is calming and gives one a sense of beauty.
It makes me feel productive, instead of just sitting and watching TV, I can make things as well. It also.helps to just relax and forget any kind of negativity. Ots a great stress relief outlet.
I love the feel of the yarn as it moves through my fingers. Most of all, I love gifting my crochet work to dear friends.
What I love about crafting is the joy it brings others when I gift them the things I make for them.
Crafting creates peace, comfort and balance to the chaos. So grateful for a grandmother and mother (95 and still knitting) who passed their crafting to me starting at 9 years old. Sixty years later, my 9 year old grand daughter has asked me to teach her. Feeling blessed.
Crafting provides a creative outlet, and can be useful therapeutic exercise. Plus, I love being able to share my work with others
I love the satisfaction it gives me to make something pretty and useful out of…well, basically, string!!
Gazillion folks, but maybe it will be my turn!
I love the early morning moments when I sit down with a cup of tea and just peacefully knit. The process of watching yarn turn into something that I created never fails to amaze me.
Knitting and needlework allow me to decompress while creating one-of-a-kind gifts for family and friends
I love a nice yarn and it”s a pleasure to create something to wear and feel the warmth on your body ♥️
I love that whatever I’m making, whether it be crocheted or spun, not only brings me joy, but brings the receiver joy as well.
I see all of the comments about how relaxing and calming it is to craft…….that is wonderful. For me, it allows some me time and opens my mind to thankfulness. I am just finishing the first sleeve of Storyteller and will have my sweater completed within the month. Great birthday present to myself. Next, I will be working on a baby blanket for a grandchild. Pink or blue? I am not sure yet.
Crafting, whether it is knitting, crocheting, paper crafting, building miniature rooms, beading, painting or other crafts I enjoy, is a way to be fully present in the moment, a zen activity that is both calming and engages mindful attention. Crafting has helped me through life’s challenging moments. Plus there is a sense of accomplishment and feeling of strength as I realize I am capable of creating something that is beautiful.
Create with your own hands. Assembling disparate materials and objects to create harmony. Discover individual creativity and interpretations of the same subject.
I love being able to focus on my knitting when I need the world to be a little bit quieter.
Crafting, especially knitting, is so relaxing. Also it feeds my need to create.
Crafting is therapy for my hands and my soul. I can sit quietly and knit or quilt, and it just soothes me. And getting a thing of beauty when I’m finished is a bonus.
I love crafting because it allows me to show the creativity I see inside my head.
I enjoy different crafts for different reasons. Some are mentally stimulating, like setting up for a weaving project, while others are relaxing and meditative, like spinning. I n general, I like making useful things and if they’re pretty, bonus! Plus crafts keep my hands busy, and I get social time doing them too.
I love the tangible accomplishment that finishing projects gives me.
It’s relaxing & allows me a bit of “me” time and self-expression while providing care for 2 adults in my family 🙂
Crafting allows me to make things for others and that makes them happy, and me too! Making things gives me another dimension to being a loving and caring woman
I love crafting…crocheting, sewing, diamond painting, drawing, etc..it relaxes me and when I’m done with a project I have a beautiful and unique item that I made myself. Besides, who can resist yarn when there’s so much to love!
I love the feeling of accomplishment. Of being able to make something pretty with my won hands and either gift it or wear it or put it up on my wall. My eldest grandson, who just turned 18, recently asked me to knit him a Musselburgh hat. Oh my gosh. Yes! I was able to finish it in time for his birthday in January. I was so honored that he asked me to do that for him. Now that is worth anything.
Crafting lets me use some of my time and focus to make something tangible and beautiful. Most of the things that come from my work life are abstract or never seen, so making something that I can hold or wear brings another area of accomplishment and joy to my life.
Crafting makes me happy and calms my anxiety
I love the peaceful feeling I get from crocheting after a long week of working!
And I just received my order of beautiful Library Hues ‘Crema’ sock to make the awesome Barda top! I’m excited to start crocheting with this luxurious yarn.
I love the relaxation of knitting and creating something unique
I love creating! When I make gifts for others (or myself), I get to put intention and love into a project that the other person can feel!! The fact that we can be wrapped in literal handmade love, is magical ☺
Hi Chandi!
Crafting (knitting) is a way of relaxation for me. And admiring the finished project is definitely the best part! I love the joy and engagement of knitting. And the sense of accomplishment and all the admiration I get from my supportive friends and family.
Its my bday and I really hope to win the giveaway so that I can knit all the EFA patterns on my life-long bucket list. This giveaway I am praying to win because it has all the ONLY types of yarn I work with. DK (a quick knit), fingering (my all-time fav!) and lace (light and drapey, perfect for the 40 C or even 50 C temperatures where I’m from! (As it’s already started to warm up here…and really fast!)
So….hope to win after entering so many times…with a lil bit of good luck from my bday (fingers-crossed)!
I love creating beautiful crochet items with different colors!
I love three things about crafting. One, I love the feeling of accomplishment when I’ve completed something amazing. Two, I love learning something and I generally learn something new with each project. Three, I love the joy I feel when I look at my stash and daydream about all the beautiful things I’m going to make.
I love knitting and crocheting. They help keep me centered and relaxed. Just about everything I make I give away as gifts.
Taking a yarn and changing it into fabric makes me happy.
And the calming effect when you know what to do and everything works..
Crafting is a way of expressing myself and also showing my love to someone….since my crafts are usually made for someone. I’m a very shy person with lots of anxiety and crafting calms me….i just loooove it!
I love that crafting gives me an outlet to create something unique and special, especially for those I love.
It’s the one thing that is all mine and undiminished by injury. A surgical injury paralyzed my left vocal cord and took away my singing voice. Additionally, my hand is crippled after I broke three fingers. I took up knitting to supplement physical therapy and the loss of other hobbies. I’ve also had to share photography and culinary arts with my husband (a beautiful thing) over the years, but that means those points of pride don’t feature like they used to. Knitting is mine and it’s the time that I get to myself… no husband.. no kid… just me, my mind, and the rhythm of the yarn. I’m good at it despite my deformed fingers, and my pride in my work staves away feelings of melancholy and loss.
I love knowing I am capable of making things 🙂
It’s the way I keep a little space in my day to do something by myself. As an introvert, I need that.
I love watching the yarn slowly becoming the item whether it’s a garment or an object. I also love when the projects done and its a gift and the person’s reaction to receiving it.
What I love about crafting is creating new and colorful things for my grandchildren.
I love the feeling of calm while crafting, and the sense of pride in being creative.
I love the peace and calm that crafting (knitting / crochet) brings to me.
Art and craft put me in the NOW.
Crafting gives me personal satisfaction of knowing my own hands can make beautiful and useful things.
Beautiful yarn as always! I love knitting because it keeps me calm, its creative in little bursts as I can get to it, it keeps my hands busy and so I can sit still and pass time when. I need to, it’s my “security blanket” wherever I go. And a slow fashion wardrobe to boot!
Thank you for the opportunity. I love your beautiful yarns. And, so nice to work with!
Creating something from scratch feels like magic. After 35 years of making, I’m still in awe that a finished product is real because my hands created it. I never tire of that feeling.
I love keeping my hands busy! I switched from a very hands on job to a more stationary office job and learning crochet and knitting has kept me feeling active. It helps that I also get an end product as well :).
I love the process! I love learning new things and figuring out how to make the vision in my head become a reality–and then I love getting compliments on my work once it’s done and I can show it off!
🎊🤗 Congratulations to last month winner! Hi Chandi! What I love about crafting is the endless possibilities of creativity! Everyone is making incredibly beautiful and amazing projects 😍 They all inspire me so much! Thanks for the chance to win some of your gorgeous yarn!
I love that crafting quiets my mind and gives me peace
I love creating things, trying different colours and textures… And the calming sensation.
I just recently found my yarn stash again and my knitting needles/crochet hooks and I made a scarf for my friend just in time for the deep freeze (Maine), then I made 3 scarves for my grandkids, making another for a good friend, and several in progress for whomever they call to. To see people smile over what I created is such a boost <3 The inspiration I get here is just fueling me so I signed up for the Intention subscription box. NO REGRETS!
It makes me happy and calm.
I like the peaceful side of the creating and the using of what I’ve made.
Crafting relaxes me and gives me something to keep busy with. And I love giving the things I make to the people I love!
I love giving things I’ve made that people love.
I live the way it calms my brain! And love seeing my kids wear the stuff I make them!
It is my turn to win these beautiful skeins. Next time, it will be you😎🙏🌻
Crafting calms me down. Also makes me feel like I don’t waste time just watching TV, because I’m creating something at the same time.
I love the creative process with crafting.
I love the diversity of the media available for crafting. My public library has a monthly craft night and it’s amazing to see how many different things people are working on: knitting, crochet, cross stitch, needlepoint, etc.
Love crafting because it’s relaxing, it’s so customizable, and I can just think of something and make it
crafting is a great outlet for thoughts and ideas, it can be very cathardic.
I love crocheting blankets.
I get so much satisfaction out of making things with my hands!
Crafting gives me the super power to create beautiful original things. And it gives me the opportunity to be myself, with my own thoughts
I love finishing and wearing a project – the sense of accomplishment feels so good!
Crafting allows me to make something with my own two hands and be able to say, “Hey, I made that! I did that!” Looking at pretty things that I’ve made myself makes me feel so accomplished and so good about myself. And it’s nice to have something automatically in common when I meant other crafters. It offers the ability to sit and relax and clear my mind, too, while still keeping my hands busy.
I love the feeling of completion, and that no one else would do it just like me.
There are two things I love about crafting – knitting and crocheting in particular. One, I love the meditative nature of these crafts. Life is so stressful these days, and I am so thankful to have the opportunity to knit my worries away. Two, the “mistakes” that I make always result in creative tangents, beautiful adventures, or alternate paths that teach me something new about myself and my abilities.
I love creating because it is a relaxation for me from everyday work.
I love playing with colors and textures.
I love being able to create something from nothing with my own hands
I love the feel of the yarn thru my fingers. It just relaxes me. Hubby says he loves watching me crochet, he says I almost always smile as I stitch.
Keeps my hands and brain busy when I’m watching TV or listening to audio books.
I love the zen of crafting, the relaxation and focus I can bring onto it, makes the troubles melt away 😀
What I love about crafting… The peace. Being so absorbed in something that you do with your hands it’s peaceful.
I enjoy knitting and crocheting because it relaxes me. I also like the feeling of accomplishment when I finish a project.
I love the satisfaction of creating something, especially as a gift for someone.
Crafting keeps my hands busy so I’m not snacking constantly. It also is so meditative that it relaxes me so I don’t get stressed. Then once my project is finished I get to give it to someone and make them happy.
I love planning a new project- selecting the combination of colours, textures and design!
Crafting restores my joy.
I love crafting with my yarn and making wonderful warm gifts like blankets, sweaters, shawls and cocoon wraps, ruanas, etc. It brings me calming pleasure to crochet (or knit) for hours and days and weeks on end; and it brings me pleasure to know my finished object brings warmth and comfort to others. That’s a great feeling to be warming up the world with beauty and comfort from EFA wondrous fibers! I tell ya, I still melt every time I feel your alpaca silk bases. I just got your June Alexandrite in alpaca silk lace today and I simply melted with the extreme beauty and exquisite softness! So scrumptious! I can’t wait to begin a project with it (but sadly, I need to be responsible and finish up a few ufo’s first.)!
I love knitting for others – especially for children. Making mittens and hats for those in need brings me great joy.
I love knowing that I made something that I think is beautiful with my own 2 hands. Also the feeling of accomplishment. Thank you for the chance to win all the beautiful yarn.
I love that I can imagine a sweater and then just…make it! Exactly how I want it!
What I love about all of my craft hobbies is the joy of watching my project evolve. The joy of sharing my creations with people I love. My crafts are my stress reliever and Bring great relaxation to me.
The magic of bringing string/scraps/debris together **into** something tangible.
I love sitting down and crafting with my cat to relieve stress after a long day at work. It’s nice seeing a ball of yarn turn into a cohesive work.
Something that I love about crafting is looking at color combinations! It’s such an enjoyable part of creating and there are really no wrong answers. I love comparing and contrasting colors and shades!
Knit, crochet, card making…it keeps me busy and is my “happy place”!
Crafting calms my mind and just the experience of making things brings me so much joy 🙂
I am so proud when I am done and able to give or wear what I have crafted. Also the momories of when and where I made it or part of it come back to me when I wear it.
I have grown to acknowledge & appreciate the confidence & joy that crafting brings to my life.
I love creating something new and one of a kind, makes for great gifts!
i love how calming it can be, as well as how creative it is. even if i make a small mistake or something, its fine because i can just do my own thing and be creative.
Crafting allows me to use my creative side in ways I am unable to in my job. I can create something useful or just fun and beautiful.
These yarns and colors are absolutely gorgeous! For me, knitting provides therapy. I can set a goal, get into a groove, see my plan come together, and savor the joy and satisfaction of my accomplishments and a job well done. It is just the perfect way to create and appreciate.
Crafting soothe my anxiety
I love to crochet and knit for my daughter. When I finish a little creature or an article of clothing for her, and I get to hand it over to her, her joy brings me joy. When she was really little I would get nap trapped in the rocking chair always making sure to have a WIP on hand.
Crafting gives me something to do with my hands and is my creative outlet for expression
I love planning my project and I love the colors just like these beautiful colors.
I love crafting – in the first place knitting – because it gives me relaxation, it eases my mind. At the same time I enjoy anticipating the deep satisfaction I get from wearing a self-made beautiful piece of cloth/sweater…
I really enjoy the challenge of learning new things
And I love the quiet!
Knitting is for me a stress remover.
The excitement of a new idea and project.
Mixing and matching colours. I’ll spend so much time just planning colours out, I honestly think its my favorite part. Keeping track of my percentage of completion for a project is a close second, lots of instant gratification!
What a stunning array of yarn! I love learning and there’s always something to learn with any craft I’m doing! Plus it keeps my hands busy!
In these troubled times, knitting soothes me. I love creating things with yarn and needles. Things that help keep me and mine warm!
I love knitting and it is definitly my thing. Calm, but yet fun searching for the perfect yarn and pattern and love all my finished items. I knit in my fully insulated and heated knitting shed separtate from the house and it is my perfect special place. I have numerous projects going at the same time including one is for the car and one in the family room for TV time.
Crafting is that little bit of time just for me ❤️
It is so relaxing after a herd days worrk, and at the end you also have something original and beautiful.
The biggest compliment you can get then is ” where did you buy this”
I enjoy making something that is unique and one of a kind. I think that is the best thing about crafting…especially fiber art. I enjoy beading and metalwork with sterling silver, but fiber is my favorite.
Crocheting brings my stress level down so much! Especially with your lucious yarns! Cindy
Crafting gives me pleasure, whether it is sewing, knitting, crocheting, or painting. It soothes me, calms me down.
I love making a piece with my own hands and the satisfaction that brings. I love that when my kids were little, they truly believed that I could make anything – and therefore so could they. And I love the textures and colours of the fabrics that I can create!
I love making something beautiful and unique and being able to give it to someone that I love.
I love the relaxation and that I get something pretty at the end.
I love making beautiful things.
I love making things as gifts for others and making for myself. I love just being creative in what I make.
Ooh those are some stunningly beautiful yarn colors – like a spring posie! 🌸 🌷 🌼 🌷🌸 I really enjoy the calmness of the rhythm and the beautiful pops of colors as I knit with hand dyed yarn and the texture of the knitted fabric that it creates. 🌷 🧶 🌷
I love being able to do something peaceful at the end of the day and hand making my daughter something special! I only just learned to knit and have been crocheting for 13 years!!
It quiets my mind while my hands are busy, 2 in 1 😉
working with hand dyed yarns is so nice, i knit with nothing but……
I love how relaxing it is, but also productive at the same time. You usually have something neat to show for your time.
