~Chandi
Recently I’ve been feeling like I’m suffering from information and noise overload, so I like to open my windows and just enjoy listening to the birds and all sounds of nature while I’m playing with yarn.
My favourite is a good old TV show to rewatch and relax😊
It depends on the project, if is something easy to follow and a repeat pattern then I enjoy watching anime movies with my son, we are fan of Ghibli productions, and if is something that requires my full concentration then I prefer to listen some audiobook or blogs about knitting
Murder she wrote 😁😁😆
I like to have something I can dip in and out of attention wise so it varies, but at the moment I’m working through the Harry Potter films – I want to rewatch Virgin River too but I don’t know if I’m emotionally ready for that (or ever will be 🤣)
I like to watch knitting you tube’s while knitting.
Whatever my husband has playing in the background. I typically tune it all out. 🤣
I can appreciate that. I like to watch movies if my family is, but I also will knit if I am talking to people or waiting somewhere or just while thinking.
Your amazing to do this give away! I tend to have the TV on for background noise. What I do pay attention to what I’m I tend to work on something simple.
I like my alone time when I crochet. I guess you could say that I listen to the sound of the house settling🙂
Cbc radio
Pleased to see the giveaway, I’ve been waiting patiently for it.
I listen to Norturne, Op.9. The sound of piano just makes you relax and focus on crocheting.
I do hope I get it this month!
hello Chandi, it’s been a while since I’ve been here. I’m still doing a lot of knitting/crocheting and among the various projects I’ve done since autumn, 3 were made with some of the skeins I won last September! I’ve knitted 1 bat-sweater, 1 bolero and right now a twisted openwork sweater with Alpaca Silk Lace wool. Each time it’s a design I make myself, and the result with your wool is sumptuous. So I wanted to thank you once again.
To answer your question, I knit in front of TV shows or while listening to podcasts, sometimes even while chatting with friends. The needles rarely leave me
🙂
Hi Chandi, I generally binge watch television series that I’ve missed. And read a book at the same time. I’ve just finished my seventh jumper of the year all in alpaca and silk fibres. My knitting goes everywhere I go. I’ve finished knitting Ibisco from your patterns, and I’ve just started Rubato from your patterns and Moongleam Fingering I was gifted. And I’m about to start Kaleidoscope also from your patterns. Loving the current range of patterns.
What a gorgeous collection! What I listen to really depends on the project, how much I have to concentrate, and how I’m feeling in the moment. Sometimes I will put on a movie, TV show, or podcast. Other times, soft music is the perfect accompaniment. Still others, I simply prefer the stillness and quiet — only occasionally broken by the sounds around me (birds, leaves rustling, etc.).
I like to knit and crochet while I watch TV. What I watch depends on whether I’m watching TV with my husband, or crafting with my friend. My friend and I generally watch medical dramas, crime shows, or the occasional sitcom while knitting and crocheting (I know, an interesting mix).
I like watching Netflix series although I also sometimes enjoy knitting in silence.
If I’m not crocheting outside while listening to birds, I’ll be inside watching crochet videos or paranormal videos. Thank you for having these wonderful giveaways!
A lot of the time I knit while at work or sitting in church. It helps me listen when my hands are moving.
I love to listen to my husband or kids, and watch a good TV show while I crochet. But nothing too interesting or I lose count of my stitches LOL.
I’m not one of those lucky knitters who can split their attention too much. If I have the tv on, I’m just listening to it, with occasional glances. My eyes really have to stay glued to my knitting. Which, with gorgeous yarns like these, is a treat, not a burden. I think this is the most colorfully diverse collection you’ve offered in a while, and I love it.
Just looking at your emails fills me will joy looking at all your beautiful yarns and the colours are always good enough to eat, then sadness as I am in the Uk and reminded of postal charges. Anyone in the UK fancy sharing an order and postage. If a few of us UK based would like to share an order and postage lt me know xxx
Whenever I’m working on a project, I like to either listen to YouTube videos on different topics that I enjoy or listen to podcasts. Sometimes, when I’m really overstimulated, though, I’ll work with the silence.
Hi Chandi, I listen to audiobooks or enjoy some of my favorite shows like Once Upon A Time or Murder She Wrote.
I like to listen to podcasts. I lose my spot too often when I want a show and knit.
This is my summer of one skein wonders….or I hope so. 😉
I actually watch either YouTube videos on crafting (of ALL different things, wood turning is fascinating…) or im watching real crime shows on TV.
I know….. strangely different, but I worked the thin gold line for 32 years, it’s kinda in my blood.
Oh what a pretty bouquet of yarn you curated once again 🥰
I love to watch yarn related podcasts or listen to audiobooks while I’m knitting and crocheting.
I usually have History documentaries or one of my favorite yarn channels from YouTube on when I do any type of crafts. Sometimes I’m in need of a laugh an I’ll put on a comedian special, but that’s not too often.
If I’m working on something that needs full attention, I switch off all digital sounds and just keep it quiet so I can focus. If it’s something that I can work on automatically, I’ll catch up on YouTube videos or pop a film on.
It’s been some time since I last knit anything. I miss it. I would sit with my family or friends and watch a movie with them while knitting.
I love watching episodes of Crocheters and the projects they make. Also, videos of unboxing yarn haul.
I prefer to listen to audiobooks while I crochet. If I have the TV on, it has to be something I can listen to rather than watch (History or Discovery channels), as I’m not a good enough crafter to take my eyes off my work for more than a few seconds. 😂
Ooh, great colors in this month’s giveaway! I usually watch late-night tv while knitting–talk shows, news, PBS documentaries.
Hi Chandi, crocheting is my ‘returning back to self’ thing and a way to create and express my creativity. Mostly I design my projects myself. When my project doesn’t ask for much concentration I like to listen to podcasts from actualities to spiritual, so in a very broad spectrum. When a project asks for more concentration I like to listen to mostly instrumental music, also in a wide range of genres. Or just sit in the sounds of my environment, a mix of natural and city neighboorhood sounds.
Hi Chandi, love your yarns so much, make all my projects look and feel brilliant, thank you. I listen to a podcast called The Rest is History. Both Tom and Dominic make history entertaining and they make it funny too. It’s my favourite way to spend my craft time as I enjoy both crochet and knitting.
Sometimes music, sometimes whatever I’m binge-watching at the moment; as long as it’s *not* a foreign film/show I have to keep up with the captions for!😂
oh, amazing colours, beautiful
Hello Chandi and team. While knitting or crocheting, which I find relaxing, I have either the telly on or listen to the radio. 🤗
I listen to audiobooks while I knit. Sometimes I sit on the back porch and listen to good summer music from the 60s and 70s. I break up my knitting with a little creative sewing, teaching piano lessons, and I’m almost finished writing my first novel! So excited the first draft is almost done (in time for my birthday on the 4th!!). I so love your emails. To me the cadence of the language is uplifting and soothing, and I look forward to each new message. Thank you so much!
I like listening to my current audio book while crafting.
I like to watch true crime shows lately, so that is usually what is on. I like noise since all my kids are grown and out of the house. It comforts me I guess.
I like to crochet while thinkong of the loved one I am making something for. I prefer the calm of a breeze through the leaves, and birds chirping, and crickets singing, and waves crashing. I am so fortunate to have access to all of these soothing sounds.
I like to listen to or watch knitting podcasts while I knit because it’s great company! And I don’t have to pay attention as closely as I need to when I’m listening to an audio book.
I have a lot of digital books that I promised myself I would read someday or I’ve downloaded from the local library. I like to listen to these as I walk and knit daily.
Every Monday afternoon I meet with other women who knit and crochet. We meet for a couple of hours to work on our projects, help one another as needed, and talk about our families, pets, children, travels, and anything else that interests us that day. Once a month a local independent book seller welcomes knitters and crocheters for 2-3 hours. This is a group of men and women of all ages. We share projects and encouragement. Both groups provide community.
Hi Chandi, when the stitch is easy like stockinette stitch I like to watch television during knitting. When I’m knitting cables or openwork I often listen to audiobooks and when it is a pattern with a chart or my head is full, I do not turn any device, but work in silence.
I love audiobooks while I’m crocheting. I’m also on the last season of Babylon 5
Beautiful colors! I enjoy listening to lofi type music and comedy podcasts XD
I’m getting into true crime podcast…
Dear Chandi,
what a great giveaway!!!! How I’d love to get this…. *sigh*
Mostly I’m knitting in front of the TV in the evening. I also love to hear some radio play while rattling the knitting needles 🙂
Hello Chandi,
What I love listening to while crocheting or knitting depends upon my mood at the time. Sometimes I need the beautiful relaxing sound of nature. Sometimes the chatter of a good mystery show. It’s a time for me to breathe and be in the moment creating.
toujours de superbes photos et couleurs au top !
Hi, this month’s giveaway is very beautiful, as always. It really depends on my mood where I listen to when I knit. Usually when I am done working and dinner I Netflix and knit, but on my day off and the weather is nice, I go sit outside and enjoy my garden, listening to the birds and bees, but when raining, I can very much enjoy knitting in my kitchen and listen to the dripping raindrops.
I also like to listen to old LP’s on my record player or a podcast about yarn crafts.
A lovely day to you! ❤️
My happy place is to sit on my outdoor swing and crochet. But weather doesn’t always for that.
So indoors I’ll generally watch YouTube yarn content (your channel being one of my favourites) while I crochet.
Hello all. What I like to listen to is what ever strikes my fancy. A video on a technique I want to learn, a good book, nothing. As a Mom of a teenager sometimes not hearing for a time can be very relaxing on its own. lol
Best of luck everyone.
Thank you for sharing your talent!
J
I love watching the wildlife outside my window while I crochet or spin. Sometimes I listen to music but I prefer to hear the birds singing.
Love the colors 😍 💕
Congratulations to last month winner 🏆 🥇
And I am verstal on what I watch and leason to. If in have to consontrat I can’t leason or watch anything. I lose where I’m at. I’m either ripping out or rewinding the movie or audible book 📖
But most of the time it’s a book from audible and crocheting the best of both worlds 😁💓
I like to listen to music while I work. Different kinds depending on my mood.
Depends on the day….and the mood I’m in. Sometimes it’s Country Western, sometimes Blues…and in the evenings it’s often during ice hockey games (if that’s the case the pattern needs to be simple…nothing like a hockey game to make you lose your concentration). I love crocheting/weaving/looming with natural fibers…recently tried cotton/bamboo blend, and I have 3 skeins of baby camel (soooooo soft…like a bunny rabbit) waiting for the perfect pattern. I have several friends that have lost their hair to chemo treatments and the natural fibers (baby alpaca, yak especially) are the most comfortable for them. Your yarn collections have amazing colors and I bet they’re just as soft as they look.
I am a huge fan of the shows on Acorn and BritBox!
I’m very fond of reading mystery novels, and thanks to the amazing world of audiobooks now I can do my favorite things together
Knitting and Reading 🥰🤣😂
Beautiful yarns as always, I hope I win 🤞
What a beautiful selection of colours! I love listening to audiobooks and being transported to another world in my imagination while crocheting away. Classic literature is my favourite, followed by history or travel books. Though sometimes I just enjoy peaceful silence.
Hello Expression Fiber Arts team! I love watching British and Australian police dramas or listening to an audio book while I knit 🙂 Have a Happy Day!
When I’m crafting, I like to listen to ABBA or a movie soundtrack!!
I think it is interesting that so many people do something else, such as watch TV or listen to music or sit and chat with friends, while crafting. I spend the evenings with a binge session of old sitcoms and knitting most every day.
Usually I crochet while watching tv
While crafting I like to listen to audiobooks! So I can do 2 things at once.
I usually listen to audiobooks while crocheting. The two authors I really enjoy right now are Dean Koontz and Stephen King.
Sometimes if I am feeling overly anxious, which is more often these days, I put my noise canceling headphones on and listen to cello music. I absolutely love The Cello Song and Beethoven’s 5 Secrets by The Piano Guys.
Many times, I have the television on while knitting or crocheting, but if I am fortunate enough to find time during the day, I enjoy just listening to the rhythmic sound of my needles as they form the stitches of my project. This truly is they sound of peace and happiness in a sometimes crazy world.
I love to watch murder mysteries with my son while knitting.
I knit while watching TV. doesn’t matter what’s on. Although it’s better if it’s boring or a rerun, so I don’t have to pay attention.
Hi Chandi, thank you for another gorgeous month of colours. I do a lot of my knitting while either listening to audible books or just the quiet click clack of my needles. I find myself trying to make the sounds more rhythmic -which also helps my stitch gauge even out.
I listen to podcasts!
I either knit while husband and I are are watching TV or I put on my headphones and listen to either MrBallen’s podcasts or just shuffle music. Yarn looks beautiful this month!
Most of my knitting and crocheting are done in the evening, “listening” to whatever my dear husband has chosen to watch on the television – I don’t need to see what’s happening to follow a war movie! If my project is simple a Hallmark movie is good background! (And he is very good about tolerating my movies, too!). Firebird, my work in progress does require more attention than some of my other things.
While crafting I like to have some relaxing music on in the background (usually some gentle lofi) – I usually don’t like anything too distracting like TV.
I love your colors. I had never used lace or sock weight yarns before I “met” you, but now that’s what I use the most. I love the feel and drape of your yarns. Thank you for sharing your passion and patterns.
I like to watch detective shows or listen to history or unsolved mystery podcasts while I crochet. I don’t get a ton of free time, so I’ve got to combine my favorite things when I have time for them!
Hello Chandi! It’s such a beautiful time of year, where I get to sit on my deck in the warm air and crochet. I love to listen to the many different birds singing. That’s my happy place.
Thanks for the opportunity to win! In nicer weather I enjoy my front porch while listening to an audio book and crochet away! Such a relaxing way to enjoy some me time!
Hi Chandi, I always enjoy your dying creations you display and wonder which colors would be fun to spin to bring out the gorgeous color blends you create! I want to try crocheting again as it has been years and your pattern of the open front vest is going to be perfect and forgiving ;). I always have to have needles or a drop spindle in hand while watching tv and have a simple project waiting in passenger seat if stuck in traffic or waiting for an appt :). I have sat our on our deck and enjoyed nature and our sheep and chickens when the weather permits!
I usually just listen to the sounds of nature outside my window – or, if I’m lucky, I can sit outside on my porch or deck to knit. I don’t do very well trying to knit and pay attention to anything else – I make too many mistakes because I get distracted!
Hello! I like to watch European detective shows on PBS while I knit!
I like to listen to audiobooks while I craft.
Knitting or crocheting plus The Great British Baking Show is my therapy. Just super calm and full of joy.
I’m constantly “watching” detective procedurals, mostly because I don’t often look up at them, and their flow is reassuringly repetitive. I can’t listen to instruction or audiobooks, because then I lose my place in the flow/story AND my work. I also like listening to the blues or old folk music for the same reason; it’s not disruptive. STILL, I’ll pause periodically and stare at my work like I have no idea how I got there.
I usually have the tv on for background noise when knitting or crocheting.
I tend to listen to youtube videos with a lot of talking since I won’t sit and just watch those otherwise. I was a music major, so music is always too distracting.
I love watching/listening to true crime shows as I knit.
I often crochet in the car while my husband drives and in other places where I am not in control of the sounds around me.
I really enjoy listening to audio books like anne of green gables, or listening to sermons. They help me to just sit down and crochet and not get distracted by a bunch of other things!
Such BEAUTIFUL yarns, oh my!! Honestly, with 3 children, an ole man who talks nonstop, 13 dogs, 15 cats, a ferret, and a bird-what I like to listen to while crocheting is SILENCE!! LOL However, that does not happen often, so I listen to some good ole music from Post Malone or many other favorites that I will spare you from reading through. HAHA! To everyone who sees this, take care and keep making beautiful things. Much Love!
This is my birthday month! I like to listen/watch TV with my hubby. If i take a break during the day it’s the radio (I’m a NPR nerd) or music of various types.
Hello, first of thank you for giving us the opportunity to win this beautiful bundle of beautiful yarn🧶. I agree with Blanka a lot of times I just love to have some quiet time to focus and concentrate on my project. To relax and enjoy the sound of nature ☺️❤️
Good morning Chandi: I discovered knitting so late in life that I don’t watch anything but my hands knitting a project with your beautiful yarn. The silence of early morning is all I need to focus on my project and look forward to a good day.
Movies usually!! My husband doesn’t usually care for movies so if I have a chance to knit and watch a movie I’m in heaven on earth! He will watch a comedy with me. Otherwise we watch sports and a couple of games shows (Wheel and Jeopardy).
I knit with the tv on – whatever show catches my attention but doesn’t need constant attention.
Lately I’ve been “watching “ My Life is Murder” on repeat while knitting and crocheting. Thank you for the opportunity to take part in your lovely giveaways, your generosity is amazing 🩵
I watch primarily British mystery shows while crocheting!
Depending on what is going on in my life, I like to put on healing tones on YouTube and watch the fractal designs or I destress by watching Doctor Who and get lost in crazy adventures, all while my hands play with needles or hooks and create something to marvel at later.
I listen to books while knitting. I also enjoy social knitting and knitting while chatting with friends.
I watch/listen to whatever my husband has on the television while I knit.
Youtube. So. Much. Youtube. Lately its been Creep Cast, Brain Leak, and a variety from Dropout TV.
I’m listening to you tube tutorials on knitting.
I’m at a stage in life where mellow is good. I watch Bonanza, The Waltons, and Little House on the Prairie.
I listsen to audiobooks a lot while crafting.
I listen to podcasts; I can’t watch TV and crochet so it has to be a podcast! I’m originally from the UK now living in Canada, so I listen to my favourite UK comedians that have podcasts. Helps me crochet while enjoying a laugh!
What I listen to depends on the day – sometimes it’s Netflix, other times it’s music, and, if I just need quiet, there are times when I don’t listen to anything at all.
Funny you should ask this question. I used to knit while either listening to audio books or watching mindless television. But during the last few weeks I’ve been knitting with no distractions; just knitting with nothing but my focus on the yarn and the needles, appreciating all the unique and varied yarns I’ve been blessed to use, and thinking about the person for whom I am giving this item I’m creating. It’s been such a nice, meditative exercise.
When I have the most stress and actually any other time lol, peace is sitting in my den with some of your delicious yarn, a crochet hook in my hand and a pattern I’m following (or not, making every pattern a little different or combining patterns). That is second only to meditation with my group.
Beautiful yarns as always!
I like to watch/listen to a feel-good tv series in the evenings, or listen to an audiobook during the day, because I can feel that energy when I pick up my project again. Currently I’m watching Maine Cabin Masters (because I desire a little cottage on a lake), and knitting a Boxy and Fade top with your Gossamer Silk lace and stash yarn.
I generally prefer quiet when I knit but usually my BF’S watches YouTube videos, TV shows, and sometimes movies (if it’s not too late in the evening.
I always listen to audiobooks. If I am listening I can look at what I am crafting so it works better for me. I love to find a good series and listen all the way through, kind of like binge watching but listening instead!
I like listening to podcasts.
Hi Chandy. I like to watch/listen to “visual melodies” on YouTube while knitting. I also like to go to a botanical garden close to my house and just enjoy the views and sounds of nature. Thank you so much for the beauty and inspiration of your work!
My kids and I talk to each other while we crochet! Right now, we’re making a baby blanket together for my first grandchild.
I will either have a true crime show/podcast playing in the background, or The Office. I know the series so well that I can enjoy it just by listening (and repeating lines of course!).
Good morning! What a sumptuous collection of colours you have put together in this giveaway! I do much of my knitting during our family movie nights, watching anything from Disney family flicks to courtroom dramas and superhero adventures (and everything in between!). Knitting pace varies according to viewing content!
Hi Chandi! While crocheting, I listen to podcasts with well-known Hungarian personalities, for example. However, it often happens that I don’t listen to anything, there is a silence. I like silence. 🙂
I crochet anywhere I can. Whether it’s in front of the tv, listening to music, or watching my cats playing and trying to get to my yarn. It’s all great!
I love to crochet while watching (listening to) my favorite TV shows. I also love to crochet while sitting on the deck of a beach house overlooking the ocean and just hear the ocean waves, the sea gulls, and feel the ocean breezes. Nothing is more relaxing to me!
Crime shows – gotta have a good mystery going in the background!
I love unwinding at the end of the day with my knitting and whatever show I’m watching with my hubby. Right now it’s Castle for a bit of light humour.
Good morning Chandi! Another beautiful selection of yarn in this month’s giveaway that any one of us would be so fortunate to receive. Thank you!
In the Summer, I love to crochet on my back deck and just listen to the sounds of nature that surround me. In the Winter, I enjoy sitting by the fire, enjoying the warmth and just listening to it crackle. Have a wonderful day! 💗
Hi! I’m pretty new here and am excited for this giveaway! Thank you for being so generous and loving and caring.
When I’m working with yarn, crochet or knitting, I love listening to Frank Sinatra. His voice is just so soothing and it reminds me to relax.
May God continue to bless you in all you do Chandi.
I’m here in Idaho just starting into our “heat” season. Normally this is the time I go into my quilting area and shut the door. This year I have been inundated with family and other company so much that I don’t even want the sound of my sewing machine purring away. Time to dig out my hooks and needles when I shut the door on my crafting room. This selection is right up my color alley for me, and at least one of my daughters. It would be wonderful to sit and fondle your yarn instead of the same old fabric! Winning would make this happen for sure. Hubby may never see me again! LOL
Hi, I like to watch knitting or crochet podcasts on YouTube. While they talk or create something, I feel like I have company. Somebody is doing something similar to me and it feels nice. The knitters really enjoy talking, sharing, and they’re so relaxed. Crocheter videos tend to be more project focused. So whatever mood I’m in, I can find someone’s video and work at a different pace that’s comfortable for me at the time.
I craft while listening to a lot of audiobooks/podcasts, while watching TV, and chatting with friends.
I will knit to most anything, but find I get a lot of knitting done during football season, or during Dancing with the Stars (kind of an eclectic group). Both are an uninterrupted amount of time – 2 to 3 hours – where I don’t have to watch everything going on and can still know what’s happening while looking up at important moments. It’s great!
I love color so this month’s giveaway is perfect to me! I almost always watch knitting podcasts while I knit and sew. So much inspiration! Your emails are always breathtaking with the photos and matching beautiful yarn. I look forward to seeing them every time.
Thank you for these beautiful and varied giveaways! When I knit I like to listen to podcasts – about knitting or just some subject that currently interests me. There is no knitting community in my city, so it is helpful to hear from other knitters.
Chandi, July’s colorways are pure eye-candy! I like to listen to a smooth playlist – like Jonathan Ogden – to help me relax and pay attention to what my hands are doing as i crochet…lace patterns are some of my faves, so listening to something that enhances my concentration is just the ticket! Thank you for a chance at the giveaway!
I love to watch a good movie or binge a TV series while I knit or weave. It’s my zen time and helps to relax me.
I usually knit while listening to one of my many podcasts, some yarn related, and some not. I always have a lot of episodes to catch up on.
The music or videos Ichoose to work to seem to reflect what I’m working on and how I feel about it. Feeling rather stressed for any reasons, I find myself working to gentle music. A collection of pieces from the 17thcentury for violin, harp and lute. Soothing. Last week whilst knitting a swatch in bow pop colors, I dug out The Grateful Dead.! Haven’t heard them ineons. Like so much of craftwork, it varies, shifts and changes.
Wow! These are my colors! Beautiful! I listen to classical music, podcasts, and watch tv with the family. Alot of times I have to visit YouTube to follow directions on what I should be doing LOL.
Hi,
I watch knitting episodes on YouTube while I knit and crochet, using some of your lovely patterns ❣️
Love listening to mystery novels on audiobooks! Currently listening to “Murder on Astor Place” by Victoria Thompson. It’s the first in a long series, I’m always excited to start new series.
I can crochet to just about anything! In fact, it’s difficult for me to just sit and watch TV; I have to be doing something, so it might as well be working on whatever project(s) I have going on at the time.
My crochet hooks are usually filled with hats for charity, collected and distributed by knitandcrochettn.org. I love to relax by crocheting while watching old 1940s-50s movies.
Hi Chandi, I absolutely love your yarns. I’ve made a few of your smaller patterns. I’m trying to get the courage up to make your beginner sweater pattern.
I like to listen to music while I knit or crochet. Just softly in the background.
Thank you for all your yarns and patterns. I look forward to seeing my name next as a winner!
Beautiful collection of colors. Very summery! If the pattern is something I have memorized, I can be found knitting on our deck watching the golfers playing the fairway, or the deer who wander through our yard. I sometimes have Michael Franks playing softly., or Verdi’s Four Seasons. But if the pattern is something I have to follow closely, I knit in front of the computer with the pattern in front of me. Usually a Netflix program playing on my computer that I can glance up to here and there. I’m a good Netflix listener! Last night it was “Remembering Gene Wilder”. I’m a ‘one project at a time’ girl so I don’t switch back and forth.
I love variety…sometimes I listen to oldies radio and sometimes I watch YouTube, and old movies, but always like to watch true crime cases—eeeek!
I like listening to podcasts. Favorites at the moment are either ‘Ologies’ or ‘Terrible Lizards’.
Hi Chandi!
I enjoy listening to classical music when I’m knitting or crocheting. Most times when I’m working on a project I’m already thinking ahead and planning my next project. Trying to work through my yarn stash so I can buy more yarn! 🙂
I like to watch mystery shows while I crochet or a good British drama. The colors of the yarn are so luxurious and beautiful. Everytime I see them I want to make something.
Hi! I love listening to audiobooks while I crochet. Science Fiction is my preferred genre. Sometimes though, just sitting beside an open window, hearing the sounds of the leaves rustling and the birds chirping is exactly what the soul needs.
Lately, I have been watching the Olympic Trials while knitting. Can’t wait for the Olympics to start later this month.
I watch TV, mostly Hallmark or I listen to CD’s while I crochet.
Classic books on audio. Right now, David Copperfield by Charles Dickens. Before that, The Once And Future King by T.H. White. I have other classics in que.
What a lovely selection ..bur aren’t they all? I just listen to nature when I knit..I live in the country so it’s usually very soothing. For tv knitting I put on Makeful and watch Portrait Artist of the year or the Great Pottery Throwdown or maybe Alone or a documentary. I would drop stitches if I watched a nail biting mystery!
I listen to 60’s music or listen/watch the early episodes of Young Sheldon. Both make me smile and feel very nostalgic for a more ‘simple’ time. 🙂
I usually listen to podcasts. Lately I’ve been focusing on ones that are helping me learn Spanish.
If my project is straightforward and repetitive, I can usually work on it while watching the news or other tv programs. My favourite though, is to sit in absolute peace and quiet, with a cup of tea, and be in my own knitting world with occasional breaks! This doesn’t happen often, so it’s very cherished and valuable time.
I always listen to/watch YouTube as I knit! I kinda treat it as a podcast!
Hi there! First, I’d like to Thank You Chandi for all of your uplifting, positive messages! It’s such a blessing and a joy to read as we navigate through this chaotic atmosphere some of us live in. Secondly, I enjoy connecting with my projects while listening to a variety of things…..white noise, nature sounds, the birds perched on my fence, and soft instrumental music, just to name a few. 😃
My family says they never know what they are going to find me watching while I knit/crochet. Lol, it doesn’t much matter as that is not the main entertainment anyway:)
I’m a super mood person so I usually pop in my earbuds and put Pandora on shuffle!
What a beautiful collection, as usual!! Lately, I’ve been watching a lot of the Heartland series or The Chosen. Sometimes just praise & worship music. If I can get a few rows in in the early hours I just enjoy the quiet.
Having just survived an interstate move, I am busy getting my yarns organized and my kitchen. When I sit to knit or crochet I like to listen to audiobooks. I like mysteries but not thrillers, biographies read by the author, and anything by Nora Roberts! I’ve been drooling over the yarn pix for this giveaway. Dreaming of what to make with them.
I admit to loving watching Youtube while crocheting and crafting. Anything from crafting videos to true crime podcasts, lol.
Lately it’s been a lot of WIPn it with Juan on Juan the Yarn Addict’s YouTube channel. And pretty much anything else he is on. He is VERY cool.
If it’s late in the day, it’s a glass of wine, a good tv show and a mindless blanket or some knitted squares to donate to a charity that puts them together for afghans. Or if it’s a social knitting day at my local shop, I might be making the group project and chatting (and likely ripping things out because I lost track of stitches.😂) And of course podcasts and audio books.
gorgeous yarn!!! i love listening to youtube videos mostly while crocheting 🙂 otherwise love listening to random music videos. need to get some audiobooks
I usually pick a movie or show I’ve seen before, so I can concentrate more on my stitches. If I lose focus, I often mess up something 🙃
Most often I just binge-watch random things while knitting…
I like to watch the Turner Classic Movie Channel while knitting or weaving.
I like to read on my phone while I work.
I love Food Network, so I will watch whatever is on or listen to a podcast while crocheting if it’s a fairly simple, repeating pattern. If I really need to pay attention and count stitches and such, pure quiet is what I need! Thanks for offering all these givaways:)
I am a huge sports fan and I love all sports (better than the news, to me)! I usually watch a baseball game, Tampa Bay Rays, or women’s basketball, all teams. Right now I am knitting a pair of socks for my daughter and watching Wimbledon! Thank you for all your inspiration! I would love to win the giveaway, but I have more yarn than I can knit right now! 😉
Another beautiful bundle of yarn. I listen to audiobooks, watch youtube videos or some other videos while crafting.
Hi, Chandi. What do I listen to? This time of year, mostly birds. Either through the open windows or by sitting outside.
I usually watch knitting podcast on YT, or some other tv shows or listen to an audiobook (haven’t found a good way to read at the same time as I knit 😅)
I love to watch Dr Who when I’m crocheting, but I can and will crochet with just about anything on the tv if I can’t find the remote easily! haha!
I have a hard time crocheting or knitting and watching tv at the same time. I have to look at my work. So sometimes I like to put light music in the background, or even just the tv to hear something, but not watching it.
These are, as usual, gorgeous colors. I like to listen to nature when knitting or crocheting. That includes birds, frogs, wind, tree rustling…so peaceful!
I love to listen to movies that I’ve watched a gazillion times, like just have them on, while I knit and crochet. Either that or it’s audiobook books like Jane Eyre or Austen books.
I like to watch call the midwife or currently I’ve been listening to the outlander series on audible 😄
I like to watch YouTube while I crochet. Some times I like to listen to a book or watch a tv series.
I watch knitting podcasts while I knit, or if it is in the evening then I’ll choose “TV knitting” so I can focus on both the TV and my knitting. I love to read and knit at the same time, knitting shouldn’t be too complicated and I feel like I’m getting more accomplished if I can do both at the same time.
I really like knitting podcasts on Youtube🥰
What a gorgeous collection of yarn! I’m eager to knit something wonderful with them. I enjoy listening to audiobooks while I knit. Currently, I’m enjoying “If Not For You” by Debbie Macomber.
I love listening to YouTube or a Netflix show while my kids play their games. Crocheting is such a relaxing time for me and I get to be present with my children at the same time!
I never could watch anything while crafting, but I have over 100 playlists on Spotify, so I’m always playing some kind of music! 😀
When I’m knitting or crocheting I put on Netflix. I don’t reallly watch but I like it as background noise.
I put on a series that I know by hart, so I can still follow what is goin on even without really watching 😅 Athor times I put on cd’s, depends what I”m in the mood for.
I love listening to music or watching a series of either films, the marvel comics films are the last films, or a tv show, currently watching Chicago Fire, that I’ve seen so that I’m not distracted and don’t make mistakes.
I like to listen to country music or watch ID or my favourite shows Supernatural, Friends etc.
I’m pretty obsessed with audiobooks. Lately I’m listening to the Expanse series. My favorite is historical fiction (A Gentleman in Moscow was a recent favorite). I love the epic tales that go on seemingly forever.
I am almost always listening to audiobooks – mainly ones the children are interested in. We’ve done so many classics, as well as old fables. The past couple months have also included Daddy reading the Lord of the ring series to the older ones. 💕
my favorite knitting and viewing is My Life Is Murder, it is a cozy mystery series out of Australia, featuring the actress from Wonder Woman.the plots are quirky and fun, and so are the clothes, plus, i do not have to read any subtitles, which can be murder on my knitting.
I like to watch shows or movies while I craft, but it depends on the project… if it needs more attention or not. When in doubt, I put on The Golden Girls and life is good!
I love true crime!
I love listening to music- right now I have Feist and Sharon Van Etten on repeat! I’ll change it up sometimes and listen to podcasts, my favorite is Dressed: the history of fashion.
I watch TV ( lots of British shows) or listen to audio books.
I’m all about listening to fantasy books while working.
Congratulations to Cindi!
Knitting or crocheting, usually TV. If I’m drawing, music. Any crafting where I have to move around a lot, music. If the weather is favorable, so are nature sounds, while out on the patio.
If it’s not too hot outside, I’m on the back porch crocheting to birdsong. Indoors, I usually have light jazz, classical, or other instrumental music playing. In the evenings, I’ll be listening to whatever hubby has on the tv. It’s summertime, so I get a lot of crocheting done in the car.
I listen to audiobooks mostly while knitting, but on weekends, I love waking up early, before everyone else is up, and knit by the window, listening to the birds and the rustling o leaves, and watching the birds and occasional squirrel in the backyard.
I tend to go online and stream a good radio station (usually 93XRT) when crocheting or otherwise crafting, but my mind will often add its own soundtrack if nothing is on.
I knit while watching something on TV each evening. I mainly focus on hats for chemo patients. Have done a couple of your shawls and plan to knit one of your sweaters when the weather gets cooler!
Chandi, I live your yarn! The selection this month is pretty and vibrant! I usually watch (sort of) TV. I have to concentrate no matter what I’m working on. Less with crochet and so much more so for knitting. Sometimes with knitting, silence is golden! I also watch something on U-Tube, nothing that involves crochet or knitting!! My mind strays too much! I think my mind is always in create mode!!…lol. I love good older movies from about the 40s on to around now. The best ones are the ones from the 40s!…lol. romance, comedy, westerns etc. or combination of all those elements!!
I usually knit while watching tv. If I’m in my sewing room, I listen to music or podcast.
I like to listen to story times on YouTube, bc I don’t really have to watch and pay attention to what’s happening, I can just listen
I usually crochet with the TV playing in the background but I do a lot of mosaic crochet and I need to concentrate on the charts and count stitches so I don’t find I can really watch a movie. I find it clears the mind from everything else and I appreciate that.
i usually crochet while listening to YouTube. Sometimes TV, but not often.
I love watching my favourite YouTube podcasts and tv shows!
I knit to TV shows – action, comedy!
Hi Chandi,
I usually watch or rather listen to whatever TV show my hubby is watching. I personally don’t much care for most shows anymore. I can sit and listen to music all day long and my music is quite eclectic as I love most genres. Older country is my favorite, think Reba, Shania, Tim McGraw, Alan Jackson etc. And I like Old Christian hymns and also the really new stuff too! I think I feel the same way about yarn, I like all different kinds, thank you for all your encouragement and love you share!
I watch gardening tips or I Netflix and crochet );
What gorgeous colors! If I am learning a new stitch or pattern, I’m focused in my own creative bubble, tuning out excess distractions. Other times, watching tv or listening to audio books. Both ways can be relaxing.
I love to listen to soundscapes or Lofi while knitting and crocheting! I also watch crime shows, modern family and old cartoons (:
Audio books, nature and whatever is on TV lol!
I “watch” documentary type shows. I can listen to what is being presented, concentrate on my project and look up at the really intersting bits to give my eyes a rest.
Hi Chandi, when I’m crocheting I listen to your podcast on Tuesday and I have other ones that I listen to on the other days. I also catch up on some of my favorite shows. I do get up and move around every now and then.😊 These are beautiful colors and they are my favorite and they have my name written all over them.
Yak Silk. One I haven’t tried yet. My queue is sooo long and my stash is sooo big. My passion.
I usually watch youtube. Or listen to some music.
I’m 100% the kind of person who watches crime dramas while knitting!
I would love the yarn giveaway for my July 6 birthday. Love all your yarns and patterns. You are such a beautiful soul. Thanks for being you.
Most of my crafting time has an audiobook playing in the background or folk music. If I’m working on something that requires all my concentration then there is no background books or music, which usually happens if I’m attempting to learn something new or I’m working on a project that is complex.
I love listening to a good audiobook but also enjoy sitting quietly on the veranda and watching listing to nature.
Gorgeous yarn! Glorious colours! Thank you for the opportunity to enter your giveaway Chandi. I can knit and watch TV, but have to watch my work when I’m crocheting so… Bridgerton whilst knitting, or Sense and Sensibility, P&P etc. Crocheting is audible or anything that doesn’t demand I watch!
I listen to movies or favorite tv shows while I crochet. I also like to read while I crochet – my Nook has way too many books on it for me to read.
What a lovely selection i this month’s giveaway!
Right now I have to take a break from knitting and crafts due to a thumb injury. 🙁 When I am knitting or crocheting I watch/listen to a wide variety of TV shows and youtube videos….very eclectic taste. 🙂
I enjoy watching something on Netflix. Usually a series where I won’t miss much while knitting
It really depends on the mood I’m in and also what’s on. Sometimes I just like having silence. Usually I watch the news or something on PBS or on YouTube. I’d watch DVDs but my player died almost two years ago and I haven’t had time to replace it.
Hey Chandi, current go to during crafting is 80s music channel. 🙂 lots of great memories and putting that love back into my crochet. Hope all is great in your part of the world. xx
I love to knit and crochet while listening to an audio book or a watch a baseball game on TV.
I love to binge watch supernatural or listen to r&b music while doing my crafting.
For the most part I listen to podcasts. If none catch my eye, the TV or radio provide background noise.
Depends on where my ADHD takes me… sometimes it’s music, sometimes it’s watching a YouTube knitting channel, sometimes it’s listening to my kids playing, but my favorite is when I’m in a small group listening to other people talk. Knitting helps my anxiety and paying attention to conversation so much!
I like music, NPR programs, some TV series, and sometimes quiet while crafting. Love the colors this month!
I do well with relaxing background music when I’m crafting!
If I’m listening to anything, instead enjoying the quiet, I’ve got the TV on as background noise. It is usually reruns, but it can be anything as long as I don’t have to pay attention to it. Although, I will admit to crocheting through a few football games to calm my nerves.
Hi Chandi! I’m easily distracted by TV and don’t watch programs while knitting. I generally knit early in the morning, while listening to the sounds of the day unfolding. I love the simple peace of quiet solitude.
What an amazing give away! I enjoy crocheting usually while watching TV with my hubby (sports or movie reruns anyone?), or while watching and listening to the birds that visit our backyard. But, really, any time I can play with hook and yarn is a joy!
Hi Chandi!
If my husband is at work, I’m usually listening to Food Network or sitcom reruns. If he is at home, whatever he’s watching.
I generally like to watch things I’m familiar with while knitting because if I’m watching something I’ve never seen before, I usually want to pay closer attention to it. My go-to’s include all six of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, extended version, and The Hunger Games. I sometimes listen to/watch Evidence Based Birth podcasts, and I’ve recently begun listening to The Silmarillion on audio book, read by Andy Serkis.
Call me crazy! When there’s “nothing” else to watch on TV, I put on The Weather Channel to listen and learn, or watch live Storm Chasers on YouTube, while I knit and/or crochet. Still love your Pearlescent Fingering the most — it’s the first of your yarns I discovered, and is still my favorite. Peace, sweet lady!
What gorgeous colors!
My hands are always busy working on something with yarn, mostly knitting, but I crochet too.
And I listen to audiobooks. Most recently I’ve been addicted to spicy books, with a good plot twist, good narrators and just getting me out of the daily grind.
Thank you for the opportunity to enter.
Every night I watch the national and then the local news with my husband while knitting.
I love to listen to a good movie soundtrack! it makes me feel so relaxed. Sometimes i also like to watch some of my comfort tv series, like Grey’s Anatomy or Desperate Housewives, lol, there’s nothing like a good drama for kitting or crochetting.
I love to knit with a baseball game on the TV (Go Jays) or a British mystery series.
I enjoy watching documentary-style shows on PBS, like Nature and Nova, while knitting. But then I also knit while watching NFL games (Go Packers!), MLB games (Go Brewers!), and the odd NASCAR race! LOL
Wind at My Back or an LM Montgomery audiobook.
Usually an audibook if I have no extra thinking to do (counting or keeping track of a pattern). If it requires any brainpower, silence is best..
Stunning as always!! I will sometimes watch a show like Rizzoli and Isles or maybe a movie like Pride and Prejudice. Sometimes I’ll listen to music or something on YouTube. Just depends on my mood.
I love to listen to audiobooks while I crochet. Your yarns and patterns are absolutely stunning!!!
I am still fairly new to crochet so right now it’s a mix of binge watching a show while pausing every so often to then check the next step of my pattern I’m working from a tutorial video. I do prefer watching shows or movies I’ve seen before so I don’t have to pay attention visually. A reoccurring favorite is the Lord of the Rings movies.
I like to listen to my kids while knitting. I also like to knit in the quiet after they go to bed.
Depending on what I am crocheting, I listen to classical or classic rock music. If my husband is home we usually watch documentaries or historical movies. Well, he watches, I crochet. I love your yarns and patterns. Your voice, in your videos, is so soft and comforting. Thank you! I am so happy I found your channel.
I usually watch a knitting podcast or read a book. Sometimes in the evening I watch a movie or a documentary with my husband.
I like to watch TV while I crochet. What I watch depends on the complexity of the project I’m working on at the moment, and the level of concentration required. For and easy, repetitive pattern, I’ll tend to watch mysteries, complex stories. But for more advanced projects that require my attention, I’ll go for documentaries, rom coms. sitcoms or anything I’ve watched before, so I already know the storyline. However, if I could, my preference would be to crochet outside near a water fountain of waterfall. That’s my ideal background 😁🤩
I tend to have the television on when crafting. Usually documentaries or the news, as well as some sport. I am not good at just sitting there doing nothing – I need to have something in my hands.
Podcasts soothe me so much. I’ve loved This American Life for a couple decades at this point, but I also love a good true crime show (Try The Butterfly King!)
As always, the yarns are gorgeous in this giveaway! I like to watch Call The Midwife while crocheting
I watch and listen to a wide variety of things while I’m knitting and crocheting! Music, TV shows, Hockey games, Podcasts, Youtube videos, my family talk, the white noise of the world around me….it really just depends!
Hi Chandi, Sometimes I watch You Tube when crocheting, most of the time I like the quiet
Oooo these colors are scrumptious! I like to listen to podcasts and audiobooks. My favorite books are historical fiction and I like crime podcasts or health related ones.
In the summer I like to knit or crochet outside and listen to the garden noises…waterfall, birds, etc.
I like to watch videos about crafting, makeup, and science.
I watch anime with my daughter
Gorgeous colors! I enjoy watching YouTube videos, movies or listening to an audio book while playing with yarn!
Netflix is my go-to while crafting 🙂
When I’m knitting, I tend to watch my Brit Mysteries! ❤️
The last few months have been brutal. This looks like perfect squishy yarn therapy.
I often knit while talking with friends or family or watching movies with family. If I am by myself, I often listen to classical music.
while crafting, i do much better with audio… so audio versions of podcasts, audio books etc. 😉
I either binge watch something with my husband or listen to an audiobook.
Ooh what a nice range of colors this month! I usually listen to whatever show or game my husband puts on while I’m knitting. He does his thing, I do mine, we chat and unwind from the day after the kiddos are in bed.
I listen to knitting podcasts while I knit. It feels like I am knitting with a like-minded friend.
Bridgerton!
What do I like to listen to when crocheting? The sound of silence, or soft instrumental music.
What do I actually listen to when crocheting? Episodes of Doctor Who as my son watches.
I love to listen to music while I am crocheting. My mood and/or project play a role in what genre of music I listen to.
I enjoy listening to audiobooks or if the item I’m crocheting or knitting isn’t too complicated, I like to watch movies, YouTube videos. Thank you for this great giveaway!
Hello! I listen to audiobooks when crafting, usually something fictional and light. I tend to lean toward paranormal mysteries and urban fantasy, but I read a whole range of genres. As long as the story is good, I’m in!
I like to listen to cozy mysteries and watch Monk or Avatar or Murder She Wrote!
I usually have the radio on or silence
If I’m home alone, I might listen to an audiobook; of DH is with me, it’s probably a movie …
I like to listen knitting podcasts, sometimes movies or some piece of theater.
Interesting collection! I like the most the red and the variegated red.
I usually watch youtube videos or listen to books on tape while knitting.
I’m usually watching box sets of crime drama if it’s a repeating pattern that doesn’t need too much attention , otherwise I listen to the music from my favourite musicals like Les Miserable or Annie !
I suppose it really depends on my mood, the project and where I am at the time.
If it’s a nice day and I’m outside the sounds of nature are all I need
I like to listen to audiobooks or podcasts when crocheting
NOOOO!!!
no music, no TV. Or else I lose counting 😂
I like to listen and watch podcasts while I am knitting.
I watch a variety of TV shows – police and medical dramas, or other long-running series to keep me going while I work on a project. The occasional movie is also mixed in, but those usually require too much attention, lol.
I like watching documentaries while I crochet. If my grandson is here, we like to watch Bluey and craft.
When Crocheting, I really like it quiet, easier for me to concentrate & stay focused on my project. I deal with people all day at work & noise, the quietness is very welcome.
I watch movies while I knit, but sometimes I knit out on my back porch. The chickens are fascinated by the yarn and the needles! 🤣 They come up on the porch & perch on the chair next to me & watch.
Pretty much anything and everything. I enjoy a movie or TV show for getting a good amount of length knit up on a simple project, or an audiobook for just about any kind of knitting (but especially for colorwork). Sometimes, if I’m reading a paper/ebook while knitting and really can’t concentrate, I’ll put on some quiet music in the background.
I love listening to audiobooks! I just re-listened to the artemis fowl series for the umpteenth time, one of my favorites
I love watching tv shows or a good comedy movie. Currently on The Mentalist.
I like listening to true crime, fiction, or historical podcasts. Sometimes lo-fi background music 🎶 works too if I need to focus.
It’s nice crocheting with background noise like the wind blowing, the sound of cars in the street or just myself humming the same melody repeatedly. Time passes by quickly like this and I usually crochet much more in one sitting.
I ❤️ listening to audiobooks while knitting 😊🧶🧦
I rewatch old shows like Grey’s anatomy or movies I’ve seen a bunch so I can focus on knitting!
Netflix, Ted Lasso – I’m always looking for something uplifting/happy/funny. Subtitles are dependent on the complexity of what I’m working on, and I always have several WIPs of varying difficulty to choose from.
Beautiful yarns! I like to watch Flosstube while I craft!
I love to watch a thriller/mystery series, and listen to podcasts.
I have been watching Bridgerton!!
I like to listen to my knitting friends! We have good conversation once or twice a week while we knit.
Hello EFA! Usually I find a show/movie on a streaming platform, but lately I’ve been listening to my audiobooks or podcasts. And just this week I bought a book bone so I could read my physical books and knit. I’m really enjoying that option.
Podcasts or radio interviews (CBC Q with Tom Power is the best) are always good for knitting background! I can’t watch anything, because I’ll get visually distracted and miss a stitch…but listening to conversations is a good way to work for me.
Hello Chandi,
Usually Hallmark movies. It’s so easy to get distracted tho and focus on what I’m knitting or sewing. Thank you for the beautiful gift away. Hello to all the beautiful people reading all these comments. We need each other.
I usually like to have an easy to follow documentary on while I’m working on projects. If I can’t find something good to watch then I like to listen to some music.
I like to listen to podcasts while I knit! Especially the ones that are comedy / lighthearted contents.
Depends on what I am working on. If it’s something I have to pay attention to, I watch classic movies.
Hi chandi . I enjoy watching other crochet creators on YouTube while I work on my crochet projects. I also watch a good movie sometimes. THANKS for the giveaway and good luck to everyone.
I like watching a tv show or some of my YT friends videos while I am knitting or crocheting! Sometimes though my ADHD and BiPolar are in a perfect storm and I have the lapetop on my lap, a game going on my tablet, the tv on, AND have a project going in my hands, then things really get dicey!! lol
I love listening to Distractible on Spotify! It’s so funny and it can play in the background with other tabs open while I read the pattern. If I know the pattern, I’ll watch/listen to a long video gameplay (usually Markiplier or Jacksepticeye). I highly recommend Jacksepticeyes playthrough of Dredge

What I love to watch whilst I’m knitting is knitting podcasts on YouTube. Channels like Well Loved Knits, Typical Bliss, and Kutovakika just to name a few! Lush colours as always Chandi. Would love to win this yarn, as I have never tried hand-dyed yarn. Good luck one and all 😀
I love to listen to audio books while crafting. But I use my kindle fire, and use the assistive reader.
I like to listen to the sounds my apartment makes while I’m knitting. I usually knit late at night/early morning ( between 10pm – 2am). I find the stillness relaxing.

I like to watch a relaxing sitcom of some sort, usually something I’ve seen before. That way, if I miss parts due to knitting, it doesn’t matter.

Although it sometimes make me make mistakes, I like to watch my favorite tv programs while I knit or crochet.
I sometimes listen to music while sewing or crocheting. In the nice weather I take it outside on the deck and just enjoy the sounds of nature.

I like to watch reruns of old sitcoms or Christian music. Thank you for the giveaway! This is my birthday month, good luck to me!
Team audiobook here, although at this time of the year I turn the book off when baseball is on. Go Braves!
I’m very excited to be considered in the giveaway! I love to listen to podcasts since I can focus on looking at my project. This month, I’ve been listening to a lot of Normal Gossip. If tv, reruns of 30 Rock!
Good afternoon Chandi and everyone! 😊 This months gorgeous selection of yarn would be fantastic to work with while I listen to YouTube videos or music!
Thank you Chandi. I love it when my children playing while I’m knitting. Since it’s very rare to have this tranquility (they love each other but all of them are so bossy 😂) I’m listening to the quiet. It’s my relaxing time and I just concentrate in my stitches. I love this relaxing time I have. Have a wonderful weekend.
What do I like listening to while I am crafting. It all depends on what I am doing. If it is a complicated pattern and needs me to concentrate more I will have music playing in the background on low. If it is something that is easy to do and I do not have to concentrate so much, then I will have a boxset playing on the TV, something like a old tv series. If the weather is lovely I will have the patio doors open and listen to the wildlife in the trees behind my house
I enjoy old movies on TCM or watching Tigers baseball when knitting at night. If l want music, l put on a contemporary christian station
I llve to de-stress knitting, maybe listening to TV with a cat on my lap.
I watch/listen to Rick Steves Monday Night Travel online. Love doing 2 things at once and learning about beautiful places. Good vibes!
When I’m crafting, I usually listen to podcasts about politics. This way, I just listen and knit and don’t have to look at the screen 😀
I listen to news or podcasts. Sometimes I listen to/watch older tv shows that I don’t need to completely pay attention to.
While crocheting I like to watch dramas, comedies and true crime documentaries👀
I like watching anime. Right now I’m watching one piece 🏴☠️
Hi, I often watch craft videos on YouTub or some British detective serie when i knit or crochet.
It’s rare that I get to have a moment to myself, so when I do I like to just sit in silence and listen to whatever is happening outside my windows. This time of year it’s generally rain but the sound of the creek rushing next to my house is always present as well.
Another to good to be true giveaway!
I watch TCM all day everyday so I pretty much just have it for background noise since I’ve seen most of the movies at least half a dozen times. But I love them.
I usually knit while I watch Maine Cabin Masters, Fixer to Fabulous and the Weather Channel. You have a wonderful array of yarn, but I have never felt my skills were “good enough ” but I have reached the point in my life where I am good enough just as I am! Your words of encouragement reinforce that for me so thank you for sharing lyour positivity.
Stories and Mysteries. Usually movies or NetFlix series that I don’t have to watch constantly, but that will also have me looking up once in a while so my neck isn’t stuck looking down non-stop. I do sometimes like to listen to books while knitting, but that is more saved for cleaning. I love music, but I can’t knit and dance at the same time, so that’s out!
I’m sitting in the garden, crocheting, and listening to the birds 🥰
I like to watch TV shows, listen to music or visit with friends. Enjoy your yarn, it is so luscious.
I actually prefer to craft in the quiet. Otherwise I get too distracted by other things. Beautiful yarn Chandi, as always.💗
I usually like to put a movie on I’ve seen before or I’ll put on some classical piano music. On rare occasions I just want silence and to be in my own thoughts.
Old TV shows and movies mostly. I also like to have a not too complicated knitting project to work on while reading a good book.
I like to listen to audiobooks while crafting.
I usually listen to whatever my husband puts on the TV.
I just like the quiet much of the time. But I never have time to sit and read anymore, so I listen to audiobooks some of the time as well.
I like to watch ghost and paranormal shows while I crochet.
Hello. Simply Beautiful Yarn Colors! I crochet to either sci-fi (The Expanse series currently) on audio on Libby or watch my “comfort” tv series … Supernatural 👽👻🤖
I love a good romantic comedy on tv while I’m crocheting. Or, a nature program.
I love to listen to the radio. Preferably eighties music.
I like to have the TV on while I’m knitting if I’m home alone. I’ll often put on a show, movie or musical I’ve seen before so that I just have background noise, but do not need to pay attention to what it is.
I like to watch shows that have just enough drama to keep me interested but not enough of it that I forget about my crochet. Currently I’m watching 90 day fiancé while I crochet!
I love listening to my audible while knitting/crocheting. I also put the series or films I’ve already seen as my attention won’t be 100% on what is on.
I like listening to the TV – a series or a film. I’m also fine about just being in silence and listening to the world go by around me!
I love listening to Secret Garden the most, although this month I threw in a little Christmas holiday music, well it is July after all. 🎄
When making crochet projects, I sometimes watch movies that I’ve seen before and for music, I listen to K-pop, R&B and some other songs (new and most are old or semi new/old😊).
I don’t do any one thing when I crochet. But I don’t watch any television unless I have a crochet project in my lap. Sometimes I listen to music or talk with my family. I also bring a small project with me to waiting rooms at the doctor’s office… The yarn is gorgeous, as always!
Gilmore Girls re-watch if I’m at home… When I’m out, my daughter’s whichever lesson she happens to be in while I wait!
I put the TV on for noise. No channel or program in particular.
I have two avenues. One guilty pleasure is watching wonky ghost hunter programs. Another is succumbed on true crimes and also musicians. And lately listening to sublime radio: soul, funk and jazz
The news or Call the midwife
Recently stayed the David Duchovny podcasts
I like to listen to books, podcasts, or music. I will also knit when my husband and I are watching sporting events (baseball, football, etc.). It depends on my mood on what I listen to when knitting but, I especially like to listen to anything that is going to make me laugh and smile. 😊
I read and knit at the same time
I love to watch YouTube or listen to an audiobook. The audiobook that I’m listening to right now is called “A fate of wrath and flame”, I think it’s pretty good so far!
Also, I would love to win the yarn because I’m a stay at home mom and can’t afford knitting anymore!
Thanks!
Just finished watching Bridgertons for the second time, also other period series on Netflix (Empress, Queen Charlotte). When first starting a project I need to have a quiet space while I get the pattern under control.
Beautiful yarns, Chandigarh! As always!!
I usually watch something on Netflix while knitting and am currently watching the Bridgerto series.
I just listen to the tv in the background, but on a particularly stressful day, I put in earphones and listen to spa music. Ahhh… BTW, I just love your inspirational emails and texts!
Once again, what a beautiful collection of your wonderful yarn❣️
I sit in the mornings while it is quiet in my house with a cup of hot tea, my knitting and knit away listening to the birds sing. In the evening after dinner and dishes, I knit or craft while watching TV with my husband and our 2 golden retrievers. Although watching intense movies or shows can be hazardous to my counting. I’ve had to take a row or two out to fix a mistake because I wasn’t paying attention due to the adrenaline rush. Oops and 😂.
Watching Bridgertons & Who killed Sara. Love your live videos 🩷🧶
Romance novels downloaded in Libby from the library
At the moment I’m going through all Last week tonight with John Oliver episodes and Takmaster New Zealand 🙂 They both are great fun!
I love watching my kids while crocheting haha they’re 1.5 and 3yo. If I’m able to crochet while they’re asleep, I like to listen to true crime podcasts or watch twilight while crocheting. I’ll say, friends and twilight I have seen a million times so I like to crochet with it on.
If I’m home alone, I like to have it quiet or play instrumental music. Ludovico Einaudi’s song Experience is amazing. It’s my recharge time.
If DH is home, home improvement shows are usually playing in the background. Or shark week repeats, lol.
I love listening to blues or bluegrass music while I knit.
What I listen to or watch while knitting depends a lot on if I’m home alone or not! If it’s just me, I like to either knit in the nice quiet house or play contemporary Christian music. If the family is home, it’s whatever they are watching which is usually sports of some kind!
I like to listen to a TV series that I have already seen. I don’t have to pay too close to it.
I like to watch Gothic Style Movies such as “Stonehearst Asylum” with Kate Beckinsale “Bram Stoker’s Dracula” “The Crow,” etc.. I like to listen to audio books written by Edgar Allan Poe-or live readings on YouTube of the same.
I listen to podcasts while knitting but will also always have my knitting in my hands when watching TV. just now I’m watching Labyrinth and knitting!
Hi Chandi! I like to watch YouTube knitting, crochet, cooking and booktube vlogs/podcasts. Thank you! 🌸
The sounds of nature are my preference.
The TV or an audiobook — or conversation with friends when we get together to knit and crochet. 🙂
Depending on the mood I will listen to a podcasts, audio book or a relaxing instrumental playlist.
I listen to audiobooks when I’m knitting. Usually murder mysteries for sometimes science fiction.
I like to listen audio books
I watch murder shows or movies. Depends on my mood 🙂
Hi Chandi! I like to listen to heavy metal music (Jinjer is my favorite band) and read ya romantasy while I crochet! And sometimes eat chocolate at the same time… 🤣
It depends on my mood and how bad the ADHD is flaring up. Sometimes I can sit still and concentrate. Other times I’m too twitchy to do anything more complicated than stockinette. I usually can only put on a show or movie that I’ve seen 100x. I always regret putting on something new. 🤣🤣🤣
I tend to watch TV, lots of pbs, but really whatever’s good at the moment works. No subtitles though unless it’s super simple knitting.
I love watching and listening to Knitting and Crocheting Podcasts and Vlogs while I Knit and Crochet. 😊♥️
Oh, and I accidentally forgot to include in my comment that I also enjoy watching and listening to Knit and Crochet Reviews and Lives as well, in addition to also watching and listening to Knitting and Crocheting Vlogs and Podcasts while I Knit and Crochet.
