It’s a tossup. Sometimes I think it’s the excitement of finding just the right match between pattern and yarn. Sometimes it’s receiving a compliment on something I’ve made. Sometimes it’s the reaction of a gift recipient. Sometimes it’s just the calm and relaxation of “zoning out” while I create. This whole area of my life is filled with satisfaction. EXCEPT for that uncrossed cable 10 rows back, right next to the dropped stitch in the middle of the colorwork.
I absolutely love crocheting and am grateful I can do it every day! I love creating beautiful and fun items for family and friends. Such joy it brings to me!
I enjoy both knitting and crochet. It is a relaxing activity that results a beautiful finished project. Also goid activity to keep my hands busy.
I love the contentment cricket gives me, and I love breathing beautiful things!
I love the happiness crocheting brings to both myself and the person I am gifting. 🥰
I love to knit because of the accomplishment I feel when I make something, even if there are a few mess ups 🙂
It keeps me sane while giving me something to give to someone that I love that I thought about before hand. The right pattern and yarn combination is such a joy!!! I’ve been crocheting for over 40 years and I’m now a knitter as well ( not a fast one though . Hehehehe) I love yarn and am so happy that I have this craft .
I find crochet to be therapeutic. It helps me relax and quiet my mind. I concentrate on the stitches instead of what’s going around and around in my head.
What a delightful picture! So perfect for a February contest! I can see a shawl and scarf in there! And maybe warm wrist warmers too!
Knitting some of the patterns have been challenging as well as rewarding, I have been teaching myself how to do the stitch pattern that I have never made, I even surprised myself lol
I love how crocheting relaxes me and quiets my mind. I find the beautiful colors of the yarn very peaceful.
I mostly crochet, and I love seeing how the fabric you create looks and feels when you play with the yarn. It’s fun seeing how the yarns interact when you play with them.
I love both knitting and crocheting AND I love the look and feel of wonderful yarns. The tactile and visual quality brings me much joy.
I love that my mind can switch off when crocheting especially during really stressful times. The pride I also feel in my FO is also amazing.
Love it when it all comes together. The pattern. The yarn. Also just the daily knit time.
I just love crochet. It’s my favorite. So is your yarn! It’s so beautiful!
I love everything about knitting. I love the process of thinking about my next project, searching for that perfect pattern for some yarn I love. And there’s nothing like the feeling of putting many hours into a project and loving the result!
Ditto! 😁
I also love to crochet; u fortunately my arthritis keeps me from doing it daily? I love to put different color combos together!! It calms & relaxes me!!
Chandi,
I learned to knit when I was a teenager and knitted for several years. Now in my 70s I am finally learning to crochet and have started to knit again. I think I particularly like crochet. I have been crocheting foe four months now and love it. It is so much easier to correct my many mistakes. I find both knitting and crocheting to be calming and relaxing. I have finally come to realize that it doesn’t matter when or if I finish anything. The enjoyment and peace is in the doing. Thank you for your lovely smile and beautiful sentiments. You always make me smile and feel happy. You are truly a beautiful sole.
I think you said what I was thinking. There are so many, many things I like about working with yarn. Even just the feel of it in my fingers or the accomplishment of completing a project. It’s those little mistakes that are frustrating though. But there are so many little life lessons we can apply to them, I try not to get too upset. 🙂
I love the feel of the yarn and watching the project grow and develope.
Crocheting calms me down, destresses me, keeps me busy and it’s so satisfying when you finish a project.
Knitting was my very first venture into my ‘I made it myself’ world. It has brought me a lifetime of pure joy and is my go to almost every evening. A way to relax and unwind.
The manufacturing of clothing and accessories has become so mainstream. Knitting the same garments adds more value to them when given as gifts. The quality and uniqueness of hand-made items makes me enjoy Knitting.
What I love most about crocheting is that it is calming and helps me relax
Knitting helps me focus and quiet my mind. The repetition of a pattern and feeling of the yarn is calming.
I absolutely adore all things EFA. CHANDI, your ongoing generosity every month with your giveaways, & by providing excellent quality products & yarn, for all of us to enjoy, you are an amazingly beautiful soul, 😍
I love the rhythm of making the knit stitch. So relaxing.
I love making socks. I do knit a little of other stuff, but socks are my favorite. Thanks for doing this!
I love the joy and creativity of planning a project, the process of knitting, and the satisfaction and pride in a completed item!
Hi Chandi,
I enjoy knitting for my neices and nephew and during the year. I save what I make and give it to them for their Christmas presents. I recently went back to trying my hand at crocheting which I haven’t done in years and I’m really enjoying doing that again. I love doing something with my hands while I’m watching TV I find it very relaxing.
I love the imagining process of what to make with the yarn, the colours, the stitches, the pattern and then finally settling on what I’m going to make. The actual process of making it isn’t my favourite. I wish I could knit faster so I could make more projects!!
I love watching my projects grow and take shape as i continue to work. Knitting is not a skill that many want to know any more, im glad its one I picked up and snow share with my Daughter.
I love getting to use or wear the items I make. Sometimes I feel like I don’t contribute much to my family being a stay-at-home-mom, but seeing my kids wear sweaters I’ve made, or using dish towels I’ve made, helps me feel more like I’ve contributed. And I can make those items in exactly the way wanted!
I love the feel of the yarn, the rhythm of the knitting and seeing a project grow and take shape before my eyes.
There can be the challenge of learning new techniques and the comfort of familiarity or both.
I love to crochet because it’s relaxing and it brings me joy to create beautiful things with yarn.
All these beautiful colors are really making me wish for spring! I love to crochet for the relaxation and to see what I can create.
Hi Chandi! What I love most about knitting and crocheting is 1st. the process, whether it be learning a new stitch or just the process of making the project and 2nd. is the finished product even though sometimes it can be a little sad to be done with it. LOL
What I love most about knitting and crocheting is the process *and* the product. There’s just something infinitely satisfying about taking yarn and needles (or hooks) and creating beautiful, functional things.
Crocheting settles the mind and body. It directs thoughts and prayers for the intended recipient into each stitch.
Both are relaxing to me, and I love creating something! It’s also cool that it’s something not everyone knows how to do.
I love that it is relaxing.
Both allow me to be creative and I love creating something special out of a length of yarn. Magical
I love the outcome of what I’m making and hopefully who I’m making it for will love what I have created for them.
I enjoy the process, the good and the bad of it. When I figure it out in the end there is a sense of accomplishment in myself.
Great colors!
The calm of knitting is one of the things I enjoy most.
I really love seeing the fruits of my labor. The end product is what motivates me to finish a project. It’s one thing to see pictures of what could be. Seeing something I made is always priceless.
I love being able to make things for my friends and family. I think it’s really cool to be able to do that 🙂
I love to knit and crochet with friends, it is a great way to share ideas, encouragement, and get help when needed!
I love the immediate calming effect of crochet. Thank you very much chandi for the great and beautiful videos 🙂
I love knitting, there’s something zen about it.
To me crocheting is fun and relaxing. I love to make things for others.
I love getting lost in both the beauty of the color and the feel of the yarn. I love finishing and seeing the finished project. Most of the time I’m more about the finished item than the process. But, when the pattern has some artistic segments, such as Anasoptera, I love getting to and completing each of those segments.
What I love most about knitting and crochet is that you can take a ball of yarn and make something functional and beautiful out of it.
The thing that I most adore about knitting and crocheting is that it constantly keeps my hands busy, while slowly making stunning creations that I can use to express my personality.
I learned to crochet at age 9, which was also when I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease. Then when I was expecting my Son I taught myself to knit. Eventually I became an LPN, but my Crohn’s had caused too much damage and I had to go on disability. That being said, yarn, knitting and crocheting, have helped me poor my nurses heart into something new every time I make something. I love the look , feel and the designs on your site and also the love, beauty and joy you share with the world.
I enjoy seeing a project coming together. I enjoy knitting or crocheting with my daughter, it gives us time to sit and talk together. I also love seeing someone’s face light up when they get something I’ve made them.
I find both knitting and crocheting projects very relaxing, or if I need a challenge then I’ll look for a pattern that will be a learning curve.
I love to crochet because I can create lots of different things and it’s very relaxing and give me a sense of achievement!
The best thing about knitting a garment for myself is that I can make alterations (frog, reknit, frog, reknit) until is it perfect for me.
What I love most about knitting and crocheting is that it’s a way that people with little natural artistic talent can create beautiful and useful objects by practicing a very learnable skill. It’s peaceful, traditional, satisfying and opens doors for conversations with strangers.
As someone who struggles a lot with ADHD, anxiety, and ocd, knitting has really enabled me to cope with a lot of the symptoms that I’ve experienced in my life. Having something to do with my hands helps me focus on a university lecture or an audio book, which is something that the ADHD can make difficult, so knitting has been perfect for this. Knitting also helps with the obsessive and compulsive tendencies that OCD can bring up in me! Having something soothing and meditative to keep me busy helps keep all my intrusive thoughts at bay. And making something new and lovely is of course so great for my spirit and self esteem (: thanks for this giveaway!!!
I love to keep my hands busy and feel like my hobby produces something useful and beautiful.
Yes! As a fellow ADHDer, I can totally relate. Knitting and crocheting help me focus by giving my hands something to do while my mind works on something else. I often find my quiet knitting time to be when I am best able to work through whatever is bothering me, or to mentally process the day’s challenges. I often journal after knitting, when my thoughts are a bit more organized. And I love having a finished product as a result. Most of my projects end up being given away, which makes the recipient happy, which makes me happy seeing them happy. Win-win!
I love using it as a way to relax and be productive at the same time!
So true!
What I love about knitting is the feel of a wonderful soft yarn gliding through my hands as I calm my mind and focus on this stitch, these combination of stitches and how this row adds to the next. Even if it doesn’t make sense at the time. I just breath and trust the process. And by letting go for those instances I have created something beautiful and lasting. That fills me up with a sense of pride I DID THIS!!! YAY!!
I love the xalming effect of it and that I’m making affort for the present i give
For me it’s the satisfaction of making something physical. My job is just mental gymnastics without a product, so actually making something that can be touched is really rewarding 🙂
I enjoy creating. Whatever the medium might be, I really enjoy the process.
I love crocheting! It’s relaxing & therapeutic but I also love creating! It’s really hard not to have 100 wips at one time.. I see a new pattern or inspiration for something & I want to create it right now 😉
I Love seeing the finished project and feeling proud of my work.
I love how relaxing it is to knit and crochet! And thinking of the person I’m making for.
Hi Chandi. What I love most about knitting and crocheting is the peace and relaxation it fills me with and a wonderful sense of accomplishment.
First I have to say what am absolutely beautiful selection of colors in this giveaway! WOW!! 💕🧶🫶🏼 What I love most about knitting is the sense of calm as you are present in that moment focused on each stitch and each nuance of color as the yarn journeys through your fingers.
I love yarn, so knitting and crocheting just make happy.
Your yarn is beautiful and so easy to work with. I’m approaching one year as a knitter and am obsessed. It’s amazing stress relief. Thank you!
Hi,
I use knitting and crochet to take a break from caring for a bedridden, disabled adult daughter. And also, as she is 36 years old, and still like a baby I need something with results :).
As a new knitter (started November 2022), I love the mental relaxation I get from knitting. It allows me to get lost in a project, I get to watch the project grow, and I get satisfaction from seeing/wearing something I made myself. I’m just finishing my first sweater, and already have the next one ready to start.
I love the meditation of knitting… it’s soothing and calming (usually) and it’s also productive!
I love crochet because it soothes anxiety and calms the mind.
I love the difference between crochet and knitting. I always have one of each in progress. The process of both keeps my hands out of the snack bowl and it keeps my mind relaxed.
What I love about knitting is how relaxing it is. It is a mindful meditation. It also allows me to be creative and to try new things.
This giveaway is gorgeous. Thank you Chandi <3
I love the relaxation that crochet brings me when I’m stressed and the way it keeps my mind to the task of working each stitch. The end result is a much better mood with the satisfaction of a beautiful project being completed.
Knitting is my therapy…I also love to create things. I occasionally crochet but knitting is my vibe…
Several reasons I love knitting-
Keeping the craft alive
The end results are so beautiful and comfortable
It keeps my fingers nimble and helps stave off arthritis
The act of knitting is soothing; the rhythm, the feel of the yarn, and the satisfaction of watching the project grow. I can say “I did that!”
Reading and interpreting the pattern keeps my brain active
I love the sense of peace and calm that crochet and knitting give me, I can definitely use it in my life. Also learning new things and techniques, making things out of just a hank of yarn, it always amazes me!! Have a wonderful month Chandi!
I have been crocheting for close to 50 years now and I have learned to knit about 6 years ago. I love both. I recently started to write down my patterns in hopes that my family will carry on these crafts. They bring such joy and peace to my life. I love to create and give to those I love and those who are in need of something. Your yarn is gorgeous and I love the patterns. You are such a sweet and wonderful person to do what you do. The yarn in this giveaway is gorgeous! God Bless You and Your family!
I love the creative art of knitting. I love the look on people’s faces when I give them something made especially for them. I also feel good about using my leftover yarns to make lovely, warm hats and scarves for street and homeless ministries to give away.
Knitting and crochet help to calm my mind, by focusing on the stitches I can make the world around me quiet.
I love to knit and crochet, it is both relaxing and productive. I always feel like I have to be doing something, can’t just sit and nothing. And who doesnt love a beautiful hand made sweater?
Knitting relaxes me; it keeps my hands busy while watching a favorite movie. I also get a great sense of accomplishment when I have finished a project. I have become a complete yarn snob and am enticed daily at the beautiful new yarns, color combinations, and patterns that Chandi offers.
I agree completely…that total relaxation and inner peace…nothing better
What I love most about knitting is the beautiful colors en feel of the yarn. It’s a real sensory treat that always gets me relaxed 🙂
What I love most is enjoying the journey of making things, many times learning new stitches and/or techniques and the satisfaction of when it is finished.
I work at a school, so I need something to help me unwind and at the end of the day it’s always my yarn stash!!
Since knitting and crochet is a huge stress reliever for me, I absolutely love how portable it is! I always have some sort of small, easy to transport project with me AT ALL TIMES! I can break it out while waiting at a doctor appointment, while hanging out at a family function during great conversation, or on road trips or plane rides. It is such a portable craft and I’m OBSESSED!
While I prefer knitting for sweaters, mitts and such, I find certain crochet patterns for shawls and blankets work up faster. LOL
Thank you for another chance to win some beautiful yarn! 😍
So many good answers here! It’s productive, it’s relaxing, it’s challenging, so many pretty colors and patterns and styles to conquer!!! And it’s warm!
I love how relaxing it is to just knit and create something. The excitement when I have a new pattern.
It’s calming for me. I love learning new stitches and watching the piece transform. I’ve been experimenting with different yarns which has been an interesting journey. Your company got me started on my journey of trying different yarn as well as different shawl patterns. I’ve always wanted to make something with alpaca yarn and that’s how I found you. Next step is Yak🙂
Crochet and knitting help me through depression. Without them , I would spend my days doing nothing at all. I love gifting what I make
I love knitting and creating knitted items because it brings me joy, but most of all I love to share that love and joy by giving others the handmade objects that I’ve lovingly made. The look of surprise and pleasure I receive from recipients is worth all the time & effort that I put into the project.
I love the feel of the yarn, the creativity and flow of the project. When doing color work or pattern stitches, I am always excited to watch the pattern emerge and grow as the project progresses.
I love to knit. It relaxes me and I make one of a kind items.
Crochet means so much to me, on many levels. It manages to be fun, relaxing and challenging all at once. It has become a daily touchstone that grounds and soothes me. A joy taught to me by my mum and grandma, I am proud to have now taught some nieces who will carry on the passion.
It is the proces od making and witnessing beautiful things made by my own hands come to life, that is what I personally love the most about both knitting and crocheting. The second loveable thing is the beautiful yarn itself.
I love everything about knitting! I enjoy the creative aspect but mostly the soothing and calming effect it has on me. Working with so many lucious yarns warms my soul and many friendships have been formed over the years with knitting buddies. Seeing others finished projects is inspiring and I admire their craftmanship.
I love so many things about knitting and crochet. My mental well-being when I have a creative outlet ranks right up there. Another is the delight on my little granddaughter’s face while she dances around feeling like a princess in her very own Worth wrap.
I enjoy knitting with my pups on my lap and all the wonderful yarns/patterns to be explored.
I love the “zen” feeling you get with both knitting and crocheting! If I want to unwind, let my mind wander, and just chill these are my two favorite ways to do that! A lot of times I come up with solutions to problems/issues, etc. or new ideas for whatever I’m into at the moment. etc. Both knitting & crocheting are my therapies!!
I love crocheting it relaxes me and it’s always nice to give handmade gifts rather than store bought so people know you put effort and thought into their gift.
I love finding patterns that challenge my abilities. I love learning new stitches and techniques but still love the tried and true. I always find myself relaxing as I crochet which is a great blessing.
Crocheting and knitting are like magic to me, creating something from a ball of string (yarn). It helps me to relax and collect my thoughts.
i like that it gives me a sense of accomplishment, but its also a type of therapy
Love that I can crochet while spending time with family or watching a movie. It’s something to keep my hands busy.
I love to just be able to create, one stitch at a time. It is a reminder to me that one day at a time, a beautiful life can be created too. With 7 children to care for, I need the relaxation of knitting/crocheting, but also this reminder – I’m creating 7 beautiful souls daily too! 💕
The best feeling is when one of my grandchildren says, “Can you knit me a …… please Nana.” Seeing their 4 happy faces as they wore the Santa hats I knitted them and hearing them tell their friends my Nana made it was the best Christmas present ever 😍
What I love most about knitting and crocheting is the therapeutic nature of the whole thing. It’s pure heaven on a beautiful or rainy day, with a delicious cup of tea or coffee. For added bonus, I get a gorgeous pair of socks or afghan or shawl or sweater when I’m finished. It’s phenomenal what can be accomplished with a humble piece of string! The whole process is magical.
I think what I love most about crocheting is seeing the expressions on my kids and grandkids faces when they unwrap and hand-crafted item I made especially for them. Adding this beautiful yarn to my collection would be such a wonderful and amazing blessing that I could share and bless one of my family members with too!
The yarn hold so much potential for us to create something beautiful. I’m a knitter
I love knitting and crocheting because it gives me an opportunity to take a pause and be more mindful.
Crochet helps me not to go nuts!
I love knitting, because it is relaxing.
I like the satisfaction I get, both when figuring out a new pattern and giving a handmade item to family and friends
I love the therapeutic benefits of crocheting. I see so many creative items in this yarn.
I find that I spend almost as much time looking at patterns, as I do actually crocheting. The entire process brings me joy and a sense of calm.
I’m not very artistic in other ways-so the fact that I can make something for myself or someone else is so amazing. I makes me feel proud that I’ve made something that could potentially last generations
The accomplishment of finishing a project. The touch of the yarn. Seeing the pattern turn out beautifully.
What I love about crochet- many things but the top things are: it’s “me time”, I love picking the pattern and finding the perfect yarn, I love playing with colors, it’s what I use to distract me from CRPS (a horribly painful disease), and last I love feeling proud of the finished item.
Entered! I love to shop for yarn and crochet with it. It’s a great stress reliever for me and enjoy seeing the end product. I especially like making items for people.
Knitting is a form of meditation for me. I cannot do any other form of meditation – I get distracted or I fall asleep :-).
It relaxes me and I make something useful and lasting.
I just love creating, it’s relaxing and for filling
A successful project is the combination of the right pattern, the right yarn and the right colors. It’s like achieving the perfect balance. I love that challenge!
I knit more than I crochet these days because knitting just seems much more complicated than crochet (which I’ve been doing for 35+ years). I work in retail pharmacy and so at the end of my day, knitting and crochet are a great stress release for me, though my yarn tension some days may not agree with me.
I absolutely love crocheting and what I love most about it is the feeling of peace and serenity it gives me. When I crochet I am in my own small corner of the world and it is quiet and melodic and relaxing. I shut everything down and out and just submerge myself in my own piece of tranquility.. I totally live for it 🥰.
P.S. love the photo of the yarn arrangement. It’s beautiful in the heart shape with the flowers 💐.
I enjoy the meditative aspect of knitting and watching the item change color as I’m working on it..
I enjoy both crochet and knitting. I find them absorbing and challenging, something to give my brain a workout and be totally immersed. Playing with my favourite colours is always a joy!
I love crocheting because it feels relaxing and keeps my hands busy without doing something like… cleaning or schoolwork or paying bills. It makes me feel happy that at the end of messing around with my busy hands, I have *something* tangible to show for it. I have too much fun trying new stitches and learning to make wearables or blankets or things like reusable bags.
I am new to crochet and Tunisian crochet. I started as physical therapy to help with cognitive and vestibular problems after a bacteria infection. What I enjoy the most is the community that many of the designers and makers have made on social media. I have only experienced an outpouring of support, resources and loads of tutorials. I saw the yarn on your short and it made me think of your shawls. Had an ‘of course’ moment. They are a perfect match.
I love creating, but even more, I love how meditative crocheting and k itting are – and the color brightens my spirit!
I love that it is relaxing and creates the finished object of my choosing
This is beautiful and you are so generous. Thank you.
I love knitting because it helps me focus and relax.
Knitting brings me joy in creating something beautiful for my loved ones. I only have one granddaughter who is a real joy! I make her little smocked and French sewn dresses and knit her sweaters to match. It’s funny, I am not the one who feels calm and peace in knitting, I’m only a product knitter, but I do love the feeling that comes with knowing I picked out just the right fabrics, yarns, and buttons to create the perfect look just for her. I have 2 daughters who might be in trouble some day when they can’t call and say” I have to give a huge presentation and I need something for it!”. But I just can’t resist saying yes to whatever it is! The yarns are gorgeous and it would be lovely to have that many colors with which to make these young people of mine even more beautiful!
I just started crocheting about a year ago and eventually I want to learn knitting as well. I love crocheting because it relieves stress and allows me to be creative and give my creations to others. I have four young boys so they keep me very busy , crocheting helps calm my busy schedule .
I love knitting for many reasons. It’s calming, yet I also use it to keep my hands busy while I focus on continuing ed classes. I love trying new patterns and techniques and giving my projects as gifts.
I love knitting, and I have definitely developed- very quickly after starting to knit- a passion for yarn. I need to like the yarn a lot to love the project I’m working on. And I’ve only been knitting 3 months, lol!
I love both knit and crochet and it makes my happy to create beautiful things to give to my friends.
The peaceful connection of my heart and hands means the most to me. A true sense of calm that I don’t find anywhere else.
Be still, my beating heart! – what wonderful, lovely, loveable colours … that may be what I love most about knitting: working with colours. Hand-dyed yarns, variegated skeins, combining several solids – the interplay of colours both in the working and in the wearing of knitted goods. Gorgeous.
I get to lose myself and become one with the yarn and hook/needle and to just meld with the rhythm of the make and zone everything else out.
An utterly stunning group of yarns to feast the eyes upon. gorgeous creations and thank you for the chance of trying your yarns.
Keep well. xo
It’s great occupational therapy.
I might have said this before but, my mother tried several times to teach me to knit when I was smaller, my younger cousin having been proficient from the age of three. Instead, I screamed and cried and threw the tangled messes into the back of drawers only to be taken out occasionally and screamed over and thrown back later. Only with the discovery of my mother’s 1940s’ Stitchcraft magazines and some amazing new Japanese craft magazines that appeared in the early 70s did I catch the bug. There were fabulous patterns and photos that suggested that other, much nicer yarns existed out there than the two or three types mainly available to us. Knitting allows me to be creative even when I’m sitting still, because I can’t sit still. I’m always doing something with my hands. It’s relaxing because it does force that sit and provides a soothing rhythm to activity. I’m a textile junkie as well and knitting allows me to try out so many exciting fibres and colours
I love both knitting and crocheting, it’s relaxing and I can take a break from my mentally demanding day job.
Totally crochet 🧶
I love knitting and crochet because I love being able to create something beautiful with my own hands and share it with others.
I just love to make things myself, it has so much more meaning when making it yourself. the joy when something is finished and it fits I just love that feeling.
it’s also something to keep me calm, I’m a fiddly person and to transform that into knitting is fantastic
Gorgeous yarn photos there. 🙂 I love the look and the feel of yarn, and I love wearing garments that I’ve made.
Each time the set is more beautiful!
I love the meditation of knitting. And the gorgeous end products!
bonjour, ce que je préfère c’est de finir un tricot et de le porter
I am becoming a little more adventurous with what I knit and crochet, and better recognise what I like and what suits me. Yarn is such a luscious and tactile part if creating. The colours, textures, drape…..
I absolutely love knitting and crochet. The soft flowing yarns turning into something beautiful and full of love.
It makes me happy to knit things for family and friends, and it also destresses me when I knit. I can get lost in watching a movie while I’m knitting or sometimes just get lost in the pattern itself. It’s relaxing and can be a little mesmerizing at the same time. Creating something new and learning how to knit new stitches/patterns also keeps my mind sharp. The colours are gorgeous in this giveaway, thank you!!
Knitting and Crochet have been my solace when I need to wait anywhere …. Yes even the emergency room …. And also when I have been stuck at home …. The past six months they have been a particular blessing …. Couldn’t drive after fracturing 3 ribs …. Could still stitch …. Then got back into driving and my car died …. Stuck home …. But there was all my lovely projects to keep me sane …. Then on to Christmas and for us down under summer …. Knitted my was through half of Christmas Day outside in the shade …. roll on New Year’s Day …. Took a tumble in the garden …. Cracked my knee cap …. Currently crocheting a beautiful shawl to keep me sane
I love that knitting can be so meditative and seeing something beautiful emerge from yarn. It’s also seeing the smiles break out on the faces of people I gift with a yarn item. They know not only have I taken the time to choose a yarn specially for them, but also the time I given to create it.
Oh my, what stunning photos.
I love being able to make something from nothing but a string (in essence). I love the “wow” I get from other craters or people I gift my creations to. I love trying something new and seeing just how far I can push myself to make something new.
I love to crochet and watch the item I am making appear before my eyes!
Knitting allows me to still feel useful; I’ve been housebound/disabled for two decades!
What I love about knitting could fill a book. I’m a process knitter, so I find knitting meditative, creative, and challenging. It gets me in the state of “flow”. Having a wonderful product at the end is also a plus. Oh, ah shopping and handling and dreaming about yarn and projects — priceless! 😍🧶
I crochet daily. I find the process of getting things together more satisfying than gifting. Choosing a new pattern or old one I’m familiar with. Finding enough yarn and getting organized just puts me in a good mood. Sometimes after I’ve gifted a item I don’t hear from the person receiving it, other than the initial thank you. Maybe I’ll choose who I gift to better, since I don’t sell anything I make. I would just like to know if they’re taking care of it or even using it.
Its my time to relax and be be thankful. I love every bookmatk i get with my otder. I have saved them all!!
It all starts with that first look at the burst of a color I like, followed by a squish test, then a softness test against my cheek. Watching the color move and grow across the stitches brings smiles. Sometimes it is the relaxing repetition of stitches that keeps me coming back for more. Sometimes it is the challenge of a complex pattern. Then there is the happy recipient–me or someone else–that brings joy.
The process of the making. Meditative. I knit and crochet, and I switch between the two. Crochet is generally faster, so for a “quick” finish project, I’ll make a tote, hot pad, small stuffed critter. Knitting can be more meditative, depending on complexity of pattern of course.
Love the heart display of yarn !!
I love everything to do with fibre art. I’ve been knitting and crocheting for years now and love every aspect – from sourcing beautiful yarn to choosing a pattern and then watching it all come together. Creating puts me in my happy place and I couldn’t do without it.
Knitting is something I share with my sister, Laura. Some of our best times have been spent knitting together.
I love that there is always something new to learn! Learning new things is the best. I am primarily a knitter, although I occasionally do Tunisian crochet or crochet, and I will always have something new to try next.
I’m always just amazed at what two sticks of wood and some yarn can make
Beautiful colours. Beautiful projects for anyone worldwide
My most favorite part about knitting and crochet is the joy of being able to make things for others! It warms my heart to see people light up when they are given something handmade, it really just means that it was made from the heart.
I have yet to make something for myself after almost 5 years because every time I finish something, I tell myself, hey! This would really look good on so and so!
Can’t wait to make myself the storyteller cardigan this year! Here’s to hoping that this time I keep it for myself 😂
Knitting is therapy for me. I’m 67 and substitute teach for Special Ed at a local Elementary School. If I’m working on a small project at lunch break, it never fails to interest the kiddos to concentrate and watch the progress of what I’m knitting. Several kiddos wind up with a hat or scarf they are extremely proud of as they feel they were part of the process. I’ve even taught my 7 year old granddaughter garter stitch and she’s working on a scarf!
What I love most about picking up my yarn, and crochet hooks is the peace that it brings me… PERIOD!
I love the yarn. The look, the feel the colors. Then I love turning beautiful yarn into something unique and special. I really love the process.
I love that you can take a single yarn and turn it into something majestic, with a soft drapey feel to keep you warm and bring colour into your life when the days seem dark. To be creative with colour and form is truly magical.
So, sew, so relaxing even when it is only a brief period of time. I enjoy receiving the emails with the upbeat messages from you Chandi. With the dollar exchange, it’s best to use up some of my stash but it would be wonderful to try out some of your newer yarns. I received some as a gift when I first found you on line. My knitting disappears as soon as it is finished. Someone, daughters, relatives, friends. What pleasure knitting, crocheting, weaving, tatting, bobbin lace gives me.
I love knitting because it is calming and almost magical in that something so simple as yarn can transform into a lace shawl, a blanket or a sweater.
The thing I love most about knitting is that fact that you can turn amazing yarn into something that you can use. The process itself is magical.
There are so many reasons to love knitting and crocheting! They are part of the legacy my Mom and Grandma left me with, it relieves stress, you get to make pretty things, and the handmade gifts bring joy to those you love.
What I love the most about knitting is that it brought my sister and I closer together. I love the knitting community. And…it helps me be a bit healthier. My favorite snack is Cheetos and I can’t eat them while I’m knitting! LOL
I love my girls very much and when I crochet which is everyday, I am just pouring my love into every stitch and creation.
I started chrocheting when I was too sick to be able to do anything else. One stitch at the time. I love to look and bathe in the colours of the yarn, the feel of the yarn, the rythm of the movement, and to see how the loops grow from the previous loop, magically forming all different textures and patterns. I love to design my own skirts, to discover the endless creations that are possible. Shawls, mandala’s, flowers, wow, and that just by pulling a thread through a loop.
I love watching a beautiful skein of yarn turn into something beautiful and knowing I made it with my own two hands!
Knitting and crocheting they both relaxes me. They are emotional “yoga” for my mind. During those times I can forget daily problems and difficulties in my life. Both crocheting and knitting make me relax and be happy.
I don’t know how to knit but I love crochet for calming me and my mind.
A number of years ago I was given a small hanging piece that said, ” In the rhythm of the needles there is music for the soul.” And that sums it up for me! Knitting soothes my soul; if I go too long without knitting, my mood and outlook suffer.
What a beautiful and warming colors <3
I love knitting and chrocheting because I can use the right sizes for me. They are difficult to find in the stores.
Love you all, Marga
The meditative nature of it.
Knitting definitely relaxes me!
I like mastering new stitches and being able to sit back and admire the finished product, like “ I made that”.
I love to knit, i learned as a child of 5 and 70 years later I am still knitting. it is relaxing and so rewarding to see beautiful yarn turn into fabric. The majority of my creations go to charity: hats, scarves, baby clothes, prayer shawls, etc. For my knit-worthy friends and family I make whatever their heart desires. I often do test knitting for designers. I like to do this because it challenges me, gives me a deadline and I often learn new techniques.
I love the calm private time.
I absolutely love crocheting because it’s given me an outlet for my creativity and the ability to make anything I want!
Ciao Gaby
I crochet and knit, but knitting is my passion. I love the feel of nice yarn slipping through my fingers as I watch my project grow. Sometimes, I love the challenge of learning new stitches or patterns, but lately, I am appreciative of the release a simpler project is providing. This month’s yarns are gorgeous! Thank you for the opportunity, Chandi. It is always fun to dream about what I would do with that much beautiful yarn!
Knitting and crocheting are something that I do just for myself, although I give away a lot of what I make. It is time just for me.
Hi Chandi! I love creating, exploring and the sense of accomplishment when I finish something beautiful (mistakes and all). I learned to knit and crochet as a child and the skill/practice sat dormant for almost 30 years and I am so grateful that I have come back to it. I love the meditative quality when I get into that zone with a pattern.
I was lucky to come across you and your lovely website early in this process of coming back to knitting (and recently, crocheting) and thank you for your spirit, your lovely and useful videos and the wonderful work that you have created.
Knitting soothes my soul and calms my mind. Love watching the yarn and stitches become a fabric. Magical!
When I pick up my knitting project, a sense of peace surrounds me. There is something so soothing about the movement of the needles in my hands, the feel of the yarn on my fingers.
I love to knit. It’s my zen and keeps the stress at low levels. I love the process of creating beautiful and amazing things. And these yarns would be a lovely birthday present!
Amo lavorare all’uncinetto mi rilassa è come se una bolla è intorno a me….con la vincita faro’ uno dei tuoi splendi scialli.
Grazie ancora Gaby
I don’t know if there’s a thing I love most about knitting and crocheting. Can’t I love all the things? Haha! I love the yarn feel, I love the creativity. I love making my own stuff. I love gifting my work. (And love it even more when I actually see the giftee use it!) I love the process of making it. About the only part I don’t love is weaving in my ends, but even that means I’m nearly complete, so it still has its bonuses!
What I love most about knitting and crocheting is what I’m able to creat simply by following a pattern. I love the reactions I get from other people when they see my work they get so stunned and surprised at what I’m capable of. I’m actually planning to start a crocheting club at the school I work at to share my knowledge with the kids because I want them to experience the joy of creating something new.
Knitting is a form of relaxation.
Knitting to me is very calming and relaxing. Knitting helped me with my depression. Plus you get to make things!!!!
Knitting is my happy place. I really enjoy creating scarves, shawls and blankets.
I have been knitting since the age of 10. I’m now 74. I knit every chance I get. I knit everywhere. Knitting helped me during chemotherapy. Knitting also helps me to keep my blood pressure down. I knit just about everything from infants to adults. My one issue is that I have not mastered button holes.
My crochet first started with the beautiful colours I saw on your site, Chandri and your wonderful patterns.
Sadly, can’t buy your beautiful skeins in Great Britain, however being an Artist your wonderful colours can be used in paintings.
Makes me feel close to my mother, who was a master knitter. ❤️
I love the rhythm of knitting. Getting lost in a stitch pattern and working out any mistakes or issues. Knitting helps me feel close to my grandmother who taught me to knit. I love learning new techniques and keeping my mind (and hands) busy.
I love the quiet, just me and my thoughts and the feel of the wool.
3 things: (1) the feel of a good fiber in my hands and needles/hook, (2) the action of making which can be meditative, and (3) the feeling of accomplishment when a project is completed. Beyond that is the pleasure of wearing or using the item -or- that others appreciate it, be it a new mother with a warm baby blanket, bride and a wedding shawl, or warm hat to stave off the cold.
Knitting is relaxing, as well as challenging. With the variety of yarns and patterns that are available, you can make so many beautiful and practical shawls, sweaters, mittens, hats, scarves and so much more!
I Love making things! And I find (some) projects highly portable so I can keep making beautiful things on the go!
I just love crafting. I mostly knit and crochet but I also so some beading and sewing. I can’t imagine a life without crafting and I am fortunate to be able to work on my projects every day – pure joy!
Crochet means ‘me time’ to slow down, relax and create. Love it so much.
Knitting is very relaxing for me after a busy day. Even one row can de-stress me. And to see a project take shape while imagining the next step is very satisfying for me. I also enjoy the feel of the yarn running through my fingers. It’s cool too if I’m knitting at a meeting, to see people watching the process. Even more fun if they strike up a conversation during a break. So thankful my left-handed mother taught right-handed me to knit at 4 years old.
I love the almost meditative mindlessness of crochet that allows my mind to relax and be at peace.
I enjoy the endless possibilities. Finding a new project and selecting the yarn. I love seeing my complete work but also am in awe of the creations of others.
I love the creative aspect. To make something with my own hands that makes me happy to wear or give is a blessing from God.
Knitting and crocheting are meditative and calming.
I love watching beautiful things emerge. I am also happy to let my brain rest in an almost meditative place!
Ciao Chandi, mi piacciono molto i tuoi progetti… Bravissima !
What I love most about knitting and crocheting is creating things!
I am a beginner knitter. I love the feel of yarns and being excited about learning new stitches and just seeing a piece go together!
I love creating something beautiful out of nothing but string and a couple sticks. And when people ask where they can buy one too, you get to say sorry, it’s one-of-a-kind!
I love to crochet because brings me peace – stitching away with some lovely soft yarn running through my fingers and watching whatever I am making take shape in my hands. Very soothing!
I just love the feeling of the yarn in my fingers and hands. Whether I’m prepping my lbs of raw wool and alpaca, getting it ready to card and spin, or feeling the yarn between my fingers and on my needles as I’m creating. So very relaxing and calming for me.
I love the clicking sound the needles make while knitting. It can be a soothing rhythmic sound. I also love seeing different colors blend together. Never fails to amaze me.
What I love about knitting is the meditative experience that it gives me. Knitting is a mindful activity. It calms the mind and prongs me peace.
It calms me and makes me feel like I’m getting something done on the days I don’t feel well. And it satisfies my need to touch and feel the yarn just like when I sew and need to touch all the fabrics.
Crochet gives me some time out and helps me to relax.
I love going in search of the beautiful colors and feel of the yarns for my knitting projects, I also love getting to see how it all comes together, especially when the pattern is new and has different textures in the designs. Knitting is my favorite!!🧶☺️👏
I love knitting and crochet. I like the challenge of always learning a new stitch or technique and the feeling of success when I master it.
It’s relaxing, but it’s also a way to be doing something creative and productive while relaxing. There’s something fulfilling about starting with a string and ending with a beautiful finished product.
What I love most about crocheting next to it allowing me to express my creative side is the wonderful memories it brings up. My Grammy taught me to crochet when I was 7-8 years old. Some of the best memories I have is all the hours spent over many years sitting and crocheting with her and all the wonderful talking we did and all the wisdom she imparted to me. All over a hook and skein of yarn while creating another thing of beauty!
Great question! I love to create with yarn whether it’s knitting, crocheting or an art piece. I love the colors and textures and figuring out how I want to combine them. (I love to add an unusual texture to the end of a fingerless gloves or sock, just to add a little fun). I love creating gifts to give away to family and friends. I love being able to create something to be donated, made with love, to someone in need that I hope will lift their spirits. I love the zen feeling I get when I get into a pattern letting problems drift away. I love the community with others who knit and crochet too. I love the connection to my Mother and Grandparents that are no longer with me, who taught me to knit and crochet which was an amazing gift. I could probably think of a few other things given the time, lol, but let’s just say I love it!
What I love most about crocheting is the joy my gifts bring to the people I make them for. It helps me refocus and put my energy into something warm and beautiful for someone else.
What I love most about knitting and Crochet is finishing a beautiful item that I can give away to someone. As always, thanks for the giveaway!
There is comfort in the rhythm!
Both knitting and crochet bring peace, as well as a sense of fulfillment and accomplishment, for me!
It helps me to reduce stress, be creative, and increase mindfulness.
I enjoy making things to give to others
I love the flow state of knitting, as well as the way it recenters how I think about my clothes so that on days I have to dress up for the office I get to put on wearable art.
The part I love the most about knitting or crocheting is to make something for the ones I love, and the satisfaction in seeing something growing from my hand
Knitting is therapy and I spend a few hours each day working on a project. I must knit and I love it!
Knitting has gotten me through the quarantine, that happened 2 weeks after I retired. yikes! Since that time, a younger sister was diagnosed with dementia, and I am a part time caregiver for her. Kitting serves as a therapy for me to zone out, to use my hands for something good, to be creative, and to work out problems in my head while my hands are busy. I use my ‘fancy’, special care yarns to make items for myself, and I make a lot of acrylic yarn projects for my sister and other family who just ‘wash and wear’ their items. I always have several projects going, of varying complexity, to meet my need for concentration or my need for keeping my hands busy while I let my brain roam freely!
It’s so amazing to be able to create so many things, and it keeps my hands busy and allows me to be productive even while sitting on the couch watching TV!
Crochet and knitting is a way for me to express some of my creativity. It also puts me in mind of my grandmother who taught me to crochet. I have most of her old patterns, and her old steel crochet hooks.
I love creating a beautiful artifact with so many variations for my own or my giftee’s personal tastes possible. Color choosing is a close second. 🙂
My hands just want to knit! I love the feel, smell, and different textures of the yarns.
I love how calming it is.
I love fiber arts 🧶❤️ because dealing with constant unbearable pain is a struggle for me. And being able to focus on such beautiful colors get me inspired to make something beautiful.
I love the entire process and the satisfying feeling of creating things beautiful and useful from fiber. And your yarn is so delicious…
I love to crochet, it calms my soul and I get to make beautiful things in the process.
I love both knitting and crochet and how it lends itself to personal expression. Easy to travel with and I love that it can be either challenging or simple, I get to choose ♥
I love knitting because Its a great escape from my everyday. It helped me during a time when my anxiety was high after the birth of my son. I love starting new patterns and seeing the finished product when I’m done. I’m always in aww of what I get to create. 😊
I couldn’t tell you what I love most because it changes daily. Sometimes it’s the excitement of finishing the project. Sometimes it’s just how it calms my thoughts.
I love being able to rest my brain and *create* at the same time. That I can stretch myself with some fiddly colorwork or lace, and then do miles of stockinette when I need to center.
I love the calming, repetitive actions of knitting and crocheting. Also, it keeps my hands busy, and the results are always satisfying
Knitting is my time to slow down and enjoy my blessings.
I just love to create something I can wear with the yarn I chose. Also i found knitting relaxing.
I love crocheting and knitting because it is relaxing! When things are not going well.. When your heart is broken… When you need to get out of reality is like knitting and crocheting fix you… 💖
I love your emails, videos and yarn! What I love l post about knitting is:
It is my secret way of loving myself that also provides gifts, joy and love for others. I rarely knit anything for myself, and that is OK. That’s the secret. The joy for me is the feel of the yarn, the pure joy of creating something beautiful and filling that time with my love for the intended recipient. I’m 58 and learned to knit 2 years ago. I love I have found this beautiful secret joy that brings me peace, love and creativity.
What I love most about crocheting is that I can make something beautiful and I can relax while making it!
I learned to crochet at a young age, but it has been a lifeline and stress reliever for well over a decade. The rhythm of stitching helps calm the nerves, relaxes the breathing and lowers the blood pressure. I didn’t realize just how much I relied on it until I haven’t been able over the past weeks due to an injury!
Yes, I’m a crochet addict and recovery is not an option.
What I love most about knitting and crocheting is that they keep me awake when I am sitting down, otherwise once I stop, my body stops 🙂 Also I love the feeling of accomplishment when I complete a project! My favorite time knitting is when my best friend and I get together and share our love of yarn!
I am starting my yearly knitting of hats for distribution by the local food pantry. Last year I knitted 118. It makes my knitting work worthwhile to know this going to a good home.
I love a lot of things about knitting, hard to pick just one aspect. 😁 I love that no matter how crazy my life gets that if I spend just 10 minutes knitting, it drastically calms me down. And if it’s a challenging pattern it gives me a break from my thougts because it forces my brian to focus soley on the task at hand, there isn’tmuch else that does this for me. I also keep an easy knit by my bed to knit at knit and it helps me relax enough to fall asleep, sometimes even while still knitting.
I love being able to create beautiful and useable things when I knit
I love the feel of the yarn and how the colors play together to create a fabric.
After a day as highschool teacher, I come home and I feel drained, off center and my mind is racing with to-do lists and going over the day’s events. Crocheting forces my mind to center, to slow down my breath. It is a place where I can spend time on a project and in the end I will have something finished and beautiful. As a teacher I am never finished and can only be hopeful that I have helped make a small section of my students’ life richer and fuller. While crocheting, I can rip up a mistake and do it over, my job does not allow do-overs. Finding peace, so I can go give of myself to my students again tomorrow, that is what I love about crocheting.
I love crochet because there’s always something new to learn-a new stitch, technique, or something about a yarn/fiber I didn’t know before! It also keeps my hands busy while fulfilling my need to create.
I love both knitting and crochet and all aspects of these crafts. But probably my favorite about doing these kinds of crafts is in the making process when shaping an item and seeing it take shape. It always feels like a bit of magic to see the toe form on a toe up sock, the heel form after turning it, a sweater take shape after joining a neckline and separating the arms working top down, a hat form as you work from the top in the round. These are examples specific to my experience, I’m sure others could contribute more. It’s just an amazing process. 🙂
Knitting and crocheting bring me a sense of peace and allow me to create beautiful works of art while bringing calm to my day.
Knitting is a form a relaxation and I love it!
It brings people together!
I love knitting & crochet because it is my peace. It relaxes me, soothes my anxiety and I get something pretty at the end! I just need more hours in the day to play with yarn!
I find knitting a little more difficult for me, so it’s more about keeping my hands busy. Crocheting on the other hand allows me creative expression. I understand how stitches form and work in harmony. Creating something beautiful and unique on my own brings me such joy!
I just absolutely love the heart photograph. The flowers colors matching the yarn and the arrangement is so beautiful. It absolutely blows me away. I could not take my eyes off the picture. Superstar
I love to crochet, it gives me a chance to just get away from everything & focus on making something beautiful.
Knitting is my theraphy and an outlet for artistic endeavors. Relaxing while knitting and ending up with a finished project for yourself or others is a treat and a gift of yourself! How wonderful is that? THE BEST!!!!
Good morning Chandi. I enjoy both knitting and crochet but LOVE knitting sweaters. It is my favorite. 💕
I always love giving what I make away. I might be a little sad to see it go, but it is worth it to see the person’s face.
I have back problems that limit the amount of time I can spend on my feet. I love that I can be productive (crochet and knit) while sitting to rest my back. I totally love the feel of the yarns and I am a total color junkie, so the visual feeds my soul. Always get very positive comments on my creations. Thank you for feeding my addiction.
I love how knitting keeps me focused. I tend to fidget a lot and I have a hard time paying attention if I don’t have something to do with my hands. Not only has knitting become that something, but it also allows me to make beautiful things that I’m proud of.
I agree with every comment here. Crafters can create beautiful products at any skill level, but they can continue to develop their skills as well. Many of us switch between easily memorized projects when we need to relax and challenging charts and patterns when we want to challenge ourselves. And then we gift those creations to the people we love. What could be better?
I love watching a pattern become reality and knowing that I created it! It is so fun to watch as beautiful yarns and colors come together to create beautiful things!
I love doing any kind of craft that I can use my hands to make but when it comes to between crocheting and knitting, I do prefer crochet but you Chandi have inspired me to go back to knitting. Seeing all the beautiful projects that you’ve created and shared and the quality of the yarn, I said to myself I need to get back to knitting again which I’ve done, but at the end of the day is when someone sees something that you’ve made and says ” you made this? OMG! Why aren’t you selling your stuff?” or just gifting someone with something you made and recognizes all that it involves to make something out of your own hands. The inspiration, the calmness, the relaxation, the satisfaction. No matter what you made, when you see your finished product, made by your own hands is just mind blowing.
I love crocheting because it is calming, meditative and creative at the same time.
I love your sense of color and artistic display!
Knitting is my joy!
Knitting and crocheting are relaxing moments of therapy. I love the process of knitting; the blocking and assembly, not so much.
I enjoy knitting and crocheting because I love to create, however when life gets hard it allows me to escape to my safe peaceful place for a brief period of time, reassuring me that everything will be fine.
What i love most about knitting and crocheting is every step of the process – picking a pattern, picking the yarn, starting, the meditative middle, and finishing. It’s all satisfying!
I love that keeping my hands occupied keeps me from eating when I shouldn’t and also narrows down a whole lot what I eat if I’m knitting. Pretzels, not potato chips, for example. I love that I can spend the afternoon watching football and still have something to show for it at the end of the day. I love the way the yarn feels. I love the friends I’ve made through knitting. I love that things I make can keep those less fortunate than I am, refugees, children living in war zones, etc. feel warm and cared for in the middle of great trauma.
It’s simple – knitting is my happy place. I love creating things, and I also just love the textures and colours of yarn. <3
It helps me feel productive and a part of things. I’m permanently disabled and had to end my career as an OB/NICU RN early (at age 55). I quickly set myself up to learn how to crochet by watching YouTube videos. It occupies my mind, and it allows me to still feel a part of things. I have crocheted items only for donations…to hospitals, long term care, hospice units, hospital nurseries, or various missions. Amazingly, all my items have been made with donated yarn. It’s been such a blessing to me, to the people who have donated the yarn (many seniors) who take such pleasure in knowing of (and seeing) the numerous projects I have made with their yarn, and they also are aware where their items are then going to! Of course, it’s a blessing for those who then receive those items as well!! So thanks to any of you who do the same!! I am now going to take on learning Tunisian crochet. I’m really looking forward to learning something new – and providing new items for those might enjoy them! 💜 (Thanks for your cheery messages and all of your videos, patterns and such Chandi. I enjoy them all – you are a dear!)
I love the possibility to create beautiful and useful things with my own hands. This is basically the only craft I’m good at, and there is nothing more rewarding that seeing something I made with my own hands. Also, as I’m a bit on the hyperactive side, having something to keep my hands occupied helps with concentration.
I love the sense of calm that comes with knitting and crocheting, and the creation of something out of nothing.
I both knit and crochet, but knitting is my primary happy place. It lets my mind escape everything else and just focus on the stitches. As a Left Handed Knitter, a bit more goes into understanding a pattern and I think I love that extra bit of a challenge, even if it can be frustrating at times.
What’s not to love?!? Whether knitting or crocheting, the calmness, the feel of the yarn and the thought of creating a beautiful piece of fabric brings me great joy!
Hi Chandi,
Thank you as always for your kind and inspirational words.
Knitting is still a challenge for me. Sometimes it goes well and sometimes….. However I love the end result of a beautiful shawl or socks. What I love about crocheting is the ease. If there is a mistake, no problem, just pull back. I’ve actually been crocheting for much much longer than knitting and I’ve created some very pretty things. I am always trying to grow and learn more and people like you make it an easier journey. Take good care. xoxo
I love all things yarn and crochet as much as I can. I feel at peace when I have yarn in my hands and can create something beautiful with it.
I love to crochet. It brings back such beautiful memories of when my late sister and I crocheted together. I crochet daily and make many shawls to donate to those with/or who have recovered from cancer, in her honor and mine (as I am a survivor). It keeps my hands and mind busy. I love my finished pieces, but gladly part with them.
I love the fact that I can tailor my knitting & crochet to be whatever I need at the time. If I’m looking for growth, there are plenty of new things for me to learn & practice. If I need something to help me relax, I can work on something more meditative. If I need something to help calm nerves or anxiety, it gives me something else to focus on. If a friend or family member is going through something and I feel helpless, I can make them something to show that I care.
On days where my life feels overwhelming and out of my control (most days), knitting and crocheting calm my mind, allow me to focus and create, and have control over at least one part of my life.
I love knitting. It is my Zen place. Knitting is relaxing, challenging, and my creative outlet.
Chandi, your joyful personality brings sunshine to my day every time I read an email or post. Thank you for sharing your beautiful soul xo. Not to mention your beautiful yarn 😉❤️
I get so much joy out of seeing what I can make with yarn. Knitting is a very rewarding experience for me!
I find crocheting very, very relaxing.
I love the peace and focus crochet brings to my life. I love YARN! I have too much (is that possible?) but always want more. I LOVE crocheting for charity! I hope the recipients feel the love I stitch into every item. I thank my Grandma for teaching me to crochet over 50 years ago. Not sure how she would have felt about me becoming a bit of a yarn snob. 🙂
Knitting calms my soul. I love the multi-sensory experience of knitting. Seeing the colors, feeling the yarn slipping through my fingers, hearing the click of my needles, smelling the wool. Creativity and beauty feeds me and keeps me sane. Thank you Chandi for helping create beauty in this world!
Knitting and crocheting (and your patterns!) are helping me get through chemo at the moment. It gives me something meditative to focus on and do.
I love knitting because it’s my therapy. We live in crazy times and sometimes in my house it’s even crazier. It’s my happy place. Sometimes I’ll just open one of my bins and just look and feel my yarn.
On another note, I was at the SC knitting guild KnitInn this past weekend in Greenville, SC and I want to thank you so much for the yarn you donated for the event. It was so gracious and wonderful. You truly are a special person. It was such a fun weekend for me and my friends. A welcome relief from all the craziness that is my life.
I love to knit, it forces me to clear my mind of all kinds of random thoughts and just concentrate on my stitches. Mistakes happen very quickly otherwise! It is a form of meditation for me.
All of the things others have mentioned! I love learning new things, so even though I have been knitting forever there is always a new technique or way of doing something in a new way that keeps me learning.
What I love most is the relaxation I get from knitting and crocheting. It is also pretty great to make beautiful and fun things. 😊
I love the repetitive nature of knitting – it’s almost meditative.
I love them both! I’ve found over the years that it’s the process of creating I love so much and not necessarily getting an end product. Because of that, I’ve always got multiple projects going and I’ll cannibalize one when another pattern captures my fancy. Weird? Yes, but it keeps me content with my hands busy. And I DO finish projects for myself and others. Just not as prolifically as in the past.
Hi Chandi: What gorgeous colors! I love how knitting makes me feel both calm and productive. And I enjoy surprising my family and friends with beautiful handmade gifts.
Thank you for your generosity!
What I love most about knitting and crochet is that, when completed, I have made a pretty unique item, particularly as I usually make slight changes to a pattern.
It’s the pride of making something with your own hands that I enjoy the most about knitting. Even when I feel lost in the world, that feeling of finishing a pattern reassures me that I’ll be just fine.
Knitting helps me get centered at the end of crazy an not-so-crazy days!
I love to knit and crochet plus heirloom lace as well. I am drawn to the beautiful colours of the yarns and the soft textures. I really enjoy learning new things from all the designers around the world. I find your patterns are beautiful and easy to do. Thank you for all you do for us all! ❤️
Great colors as always. I do believe that knitting has kept me sane during these last few years especially. Such a stress release for me, and nice yarn and colors help a lot.
I love the challenge of a new project, finding a new pattern and trying a new yarn, and giving it to a family member to literally wrap them in my love.
It’s relaxing to count the stitches as I go. 🙂
Love the peace that crochet brings me!
I love knitting tools and learning new techniques along with the sense of accomplishment in making something functional and unique. Pure joy comes into play with choosing colors and natural fibers to fit a pattern or free-style project. Seeing what others are up to in the knitting community is really educational and inspiring.
I love working with yarn. It’s calming and to watch a project appear and come to completion is so exciting.
I love how it relaxes me after a long day of work. Nothing beats having a relaxing hobby where you end up with a finished object you can wear afterwards
I love how knitting just makes me relax and forget about all of life’s stresses for a little while.
Knitting brings me joy and a feeling of accomplishment when I make something that someone else enjoys, too!
I love finding new patterns to try and just zoning out while knitting. I enjoy that it gives my hands and mind something to do. Having an amazing piece at the end is icing on the cake.
What I love most about knitting and crochet (and sewing, too!) is the satisfaction of making people the people I love smile with gifts! I also love making handy or decorative things for the home and office. 🙂 The process of selecting colors and patterns and ideas and working with my hands to make beautiful and useful things is relaxing and rewarding!
When I squeeze a skein of yarn it’s like it becomes a part of me. It’s speaks to my soul and lightens my heart with such a warming glow I can literally feel the calm flow through me. Does that sound insane? It becomes a part of me, speaking its desire to encourage me just let all troubles from the day drain away and find peace and beauty in its desire to evolve into something precious. With needles in hand I center myself and the troubles flow away.
It is joy, relaxing and a “craft” that I have passed onto my daughters. Most of all it is a creative passion to create something that can be given and passed on.
I think i would say i prefer crochet usually, due to how variegated yarn works up on a hook vs needles. Too much pooling for my taste in most yarns unless theres more of a flecking vs variegation.
I love that I am being productive when I crochet. It’s relaxing and creative, too!
Knitting, spinning and crocheting allow me to center myself, to escape the drama of the day and to enjoy the art of creating! It’s a gateway for me to a peaceful spot and is the best therapy I know of!
Thank you also for the beautiful yarn display for the giveaway! That is such a creative and clever arrangement! I love it!
Knitting makes me feel happy and relaxing. I feel good and enjoy my day. Love you Chandi and team you people makes us happy and enjoying our life. Thanks😊👍
I just can’t get enough! Knitting has become my new passion. I have always knit, but, since retiring I have joined a knitting group and I am totally consumed with thoughts, ideas and joy! It makes me so happy to find time to create. with such beautiful fibers to choose from I can get overwhelmed!
I love both crochet and knitting! I love the feeling of accomplishment after making accessories or clothing myself. The process is also quite meditative for me. I also love learning new stitches and patterns.
Customization. The color palette this year is not flattering? Lots of yarns colors out there. My body is not average? I have sweaters that contain 4 different sizes: hips, waist, bust, and sleeves are all different. Allergic to that fiber? Once we determine the properties we need, we shouldn’t have any problems selecting a similar substitute
Knitting has introduced me to so many wonderful new friends. My local dyers and craft show peeps have become some of my closest friends. Fiber people are just the best – I never feel awkward striking up a conversation with someone I see knitting in public.
Crocheting calms me down and soothes me after a stressful day at work. And it is a great joy to give my work to a beloved friend.
Tim did a fantastic job with his photography skill and the beautiful yarns!
I love all the aspects of knitting and crochet. OK….well maybe swatching is a little lower on the list, but I have even come to appreciate it!
I love to crochet and use your patterns. You have even taught me to knit a little. My grandmother’s would be so proud 👏. Thank you for coming into my life.
I just love work with color! it brings me joy. knitting is my zen plus my hands always seem to need to be busy!
I love learning new stitches and patterns, the feeling of accomplishment after finishing a new piece, and the feel of the yarn running through my fingers.
I love seeing how all the different stitch combos can come together to make one cohesive item. I also enjoy growing my skills and learning as many techniques as I can because as my skills grow, it means more and more patterns fall into the realm of simple and relaxing for me. 😊
I love being able to create something completely unique and special!
Just started crocheting and I find it so relaxing.
I love to crochet! for me it is a way to stay connected to my mother who passed away. It is also calming and relaxing for me to sit there and let my mind go blank of the craziness.
I have been knitting for a short time and Iove the videos and instructions you give. Just started my first shawl. A little overwhelming, but I am looking forward to the finished product. Thank you for all you do for the knitting community!
Relaxing time for me, but also like helping others learn to knit or advance their skills.
I knit and crochet and teach both. I love being creative, the materials and the process are sensual. There is always something to try or a problem to solve and I love trying methods and stitches from around the world. Teaching others to do this is very rewarding, especially because many don’t know you can make their own items or they didn’t think they could do anything like this, both male and female. It is amazing how many people are afraid to try or they’ve tried and failed and are convinced they can’t do it. Learning either successfully can change how a person thinks about themselves.
I love crocheting intricate doily patterns and knitting just about anything with enough variation to keep it interesting. Knitting and crochet keep my hands moving, and my brain stays connected with what is going on around me.
Crochet has been my life saver. I have ME and have to be very careful how much energy I use every day. Crochet has helped me relax and slow down, taking time for myself doing something I love. It’s meditative and so good for the body and soul. Giving items I have crocheted as gifts to people I love gives a wonderful sense of joy, and selling items, knowing that someone loves and appreciates your work, is so fulfilling. I am hoping to learn knitting too in the next year and I shall do so with the help of Chandi’s tutorials. Thank you for all you do
I use crocheting as a therapy for anxiety.
Crocheting is calming and purposeful, and when I sit down to work on a project, my mind focuses. It’s a great way to shut off all the voices from social media, news, and even in my own head. Plus, when I’m done, I’ve created something for someone else. It’s been a healing activity for me recently, and I hope the items I give others are healing for them in some way. Recently, my aunt told me that it reminded her of my grandmother, and that made me feel joy in my heart because I’m carrying on a family tradition.
For me knitting and crocheting are a way for me to give to others. Most of my knitting and crocheting are for charity. I love the process of choosing the yarn and pattern, working on the items and then sending them off to their new homes, then repeat! Thank you for this chance to win some very beautiful yarn!!
I love creating something. The joy in selecting the yarn, and the joy on the face of the recipient when they wear it.
I love both knitting and crocheting. It feels as if it lights up a different part of my brain than I use most of the time.
I simply love the act of creating and designing and the uniqueness of the finished product.
It may not make since to some but I feel like “its mine alone”. Hard to explain to a non knitter or crocheter buts it’s just you, your yarn and needles.
I love how it calms me and then I end up making something beautiful.
I love creating things, the feel of the yarn, the calming move of the needles or the hook through the yarn.
Knitting truly brings me peace & joy through the process and movement of my needles clicking and yarn running through my fingers, working towards a creative finished product that I proudly wear or gift.
HI Dear Chandi ! I was told once , and never to be forgotten finding this statement both POWERFUL and TRUE….. that to have happiness in life , one should have 3 things in place : Someone to Love, something to Do, and something to Look Forward To . If you contemplate this – it really , simplistically , covers what one needs. I find all three simultaneously present with yarn in hand. Whether it be with a hook or needles, I am fully present and utterly happy. Every day , it is a must for my well being. I think yarn in hand releases the endorphins that others benefit from. I am a much better soul because of yarn.
All the best to you dear one- ever and always.

I love to crochet, it is a relaxing craft that was taught to me when I was 10 years old, and I ‘ve been doing it every since…40 something years. Now I am teaching my daughter how to crochet, as she has a little girl that she would like to make somethings for. So now , I’ m passing on this craft that I love so much to someone I love very much.
I love that I can make an actual usable item, and I love being able to compose colors.
I love both knitting and crochet they are both my way to unwind after a busy day. I enjoy to see the yarn transform into something beautiful.
My mother taught me to crochet when I was seven years old. I taught my three daughters when they were seven and they went on to teach themselves how to knit. I feel close to my mother when I crochet and I have something to share with my daughters. We have so much fun learning from each other.
I love the yarn I have purchased from this site. I love the patterns I have purchased or received for free. I have many that I have completed and given away and a many on hold. I am an avid crochetier that is currently working on an owl blanket. I love following patterns, watching YouTube videos and learning new stiches. I give all my creations away to family and friends when they are finished…only a blanket is left for me. I would love to win some of this fabulous yarn in the giveaway. I could make some awesome projects with this.
I love the eggplant plum and all the colors this month! I find knitting to be relaxing and challenging – two seemingly opposing characteristics that make it enjoyable!
I love the feel of yarn gliding beteen my fingers and then pausing at certain points in the project and taking in the colors that are unfolding and out the project is shaping up. It is relaxing, and a great way to pass the time–a way for me to be with my thoughts, happy, sad, frustrating or blank.
What a gorgeous love wreath of lushness. I’m an avid knitter and crocheter. They really saved my sanuty after a serious operation that restricted my movement for quite a while, at first I could only manage crocheting but eventually was able to increase my time knitting too. Now I create for myself, family, charity etc and always have 4-5 things on the go at once
I love the flexibility in designing and creating your own patterns, and if there is a missed stitch or other goof, it is not really visible to non-knitters/crocheters. And it’s fun!
I love the rhythmic comfort I get when I work on a knitting project. I focus on each stitch and let whatever stress is in my mind fade away. Whether it’s a simple design or a complex one, my attention goes only to my knitting.
I love creating useful items and it is so meditative for me. I love using all of your beautiful, squishy yarn!!
I love both knitting and crochet, it’s fun & therapeutic, and giving hand made gifts brings joy.
I don’t know if I can choose a favorite thing.
I love giving my loved ones things made by my own hands.
I love the feeling of accomplishment when I finish something.
I love how it soothes me when I’m upset.
I love all the pretty yarns and patterns and trying a new technique or a new stitch pattern.
I love the creativity of crochet and working with my hands. I love color and it makes me happy to work with yarn to see what I can make.
I love the process – choosing the pattern and yarn, swatching to see if I like the fabric, feeling creative. It’s so satisfying.
It takes away the stress, and I got a lot of it in my life! And it’s fun to imagine pairing colors and each one will bring a mood. It makes me happy.
And thank you for the opportunity to win this amazing collection of beauties!
Ever since I’ve started knitting my perspective on life has changed. From creating something from nothing I have gained the ability to meditate and reflect with gratitude. Sharing my skill with the people I love has also been amazing.
There are so many things I love about knitting. I love the feel of the yarn, I am inspired by the colors combined with pattern design, I am challenged with learning new techniques and growing my skills, and as I get older I love how knitting keeps my brain active. I can’t think of a single thing I don’t like about knitting — not even correcting mistakes!
It’s hard to say what I love most about knitting as there are many things that made me love it so much. But I guess if I had to choose, I’d say I’d love how versatile it is. You can make so many different things and with so many different patterns when knitting. When you get tired of one project or pattern you can switch to a different one to keep from getting bored with the craft.
I love the process of creating something. I have a stressful job, and knitting and crochet can be a great stress reliever. I also love the satisfaction of finishing a project.
What I love about crochet is that even if you’re not great at it, you can still make beautiful things. Even if you can only make granny squares, you can take all of those squares and turn them into a blanket or scarf or sweater and whatever they are turned into can still be beautiful.
Cast on. Make stitch after stitch — that’s meditative. Use a pattern with challenges — that’s mental fun. Use yarn, especially in enchanting colors — that is a delight to the fingers and the eyes. Combine them all — that is heaven!
As far back as I can remember o wanted to learn to crochet. However, when ever anyone tried to teach me I could not keep up with how there fingers moved the yarn..I discovered over the holidays that you can slow down and zoom in on videos. So this year for my new years resolution I found videos and was crocheting blankets in just a few days. I say blankets plural because I became obsessed! I binged watched the videos for a few days and have been several projects going and think of what I want to do next while working on the current ones. This gas been the best news years resolution I have ever made. My stress is down, I’m more relaxed, I look forward to time with my projects… even the muscles in my arms and shoulders are sore from all the crocheting, so it’s a work out! (Atleast that’s what I am telling the husband who has lost his wife to piles of yarn). As a mental health professional I will be encouraging encouraging crochet and knitting based on my experiance. I LOVE it!
I love knitting since I enjoy seeing something develop when it just started with strings. And knitting is an activity that can often be shared with other friends. I have many great friends that I have met knitting.
I like feeling like anything is possible! Knitting and crochet make me feel like a wizard, turning string into anything.
Thanks so much for the opportunity for this absolutely beautiful group of yarn!
I enjoy crocheting. I give most of it away. Crochet gives to me, I give to others.
I love both knitting and crochet. It helps me calm down and unwind after stressful days, and it helps me relax on my days off. It’s a wonderful hobby and I’ve never regretted learning how to knit or crochet.
What I love about knitting or crocheting is that you can take a strand of yarn and create something both beautiful and useful. Needles or hook and yarn with a cup of hot chocolate or tea makes for a perfect time to refocus and center. Also, a plain pattern is the best way to keep from going batty at a long (as in llllllllllllloooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnggg) labor. It is also a family tradition. I learned by watching my mom and grandma. Both my sisters knit, my aunts knit and/or crochet, and some of my offspring have or want to learn.
Knitting is my self-care. Some people like massages or spa days…give me some yarn, great pattern, some fun notions…and it is like taking a mindfulness trip. I can actually feel the mood shift when I don’t knit for a day or two. It really keeps me balanced.
I knit to escape the chronic pain I live with everyday. It is my meditation and medicine, the joy of wearing my sweaters is a secondary benefit. Your yarns are my absolute favorite!
I love the creativity and mental challenge of a new pattern, doing something different, choosing the colors and the hand-eye coordination required.
I love that it forces me to slow down and gives me a safe way to stim when I need it
I am a knitter. Hands won’t crochet anymore. I love to see a pattern and think, “i can do that”. Almost everything I make goes to charity or bazaar sales for charity. It’s a way to do lovely things and share the results.
I love the sense of accomplishment I feel when I finish a project in either craft. And if it’s a gift, I love to see the face of the person when they open it. And I also love how relaxing both crafts are for me.
I’ve crocheted since I was 12 when my grandma taught me. We tried knitting too, but I didn’t stick with it. I just recently took it up again and am enjoying learning short rows, wrap and turn techniques and using fingering weight yarns. I also have been a weaver since 1973 and love using beautiful hand dyed yarns for projects on the loom.
I love both! My Mom taught me when I was about 10 years old, and the first thing I made was a doily from one of her 1950’s leaflets. I made several other doilies with crochet cotton and eventually a several blankets using acrylic yarn. No one else I knew thought doilies were cool, but I loved the intricate patterns at such a small scale. Later I learned to knit at a LYS in Burlingame, CA and I was hooked. The teacher was fabulous and the store owner stocked a huge array of colorful high-end yarns. That is when I learned that quality yarn really does offer something extremely special while creating an item. I enjoy knitting socks, shawls/wraps, fingerless mitts and cowls. Knitting is a rhythmic experience that I find very satisfying.
I absolutely love crocheting. It is SO satisfying and encouraging to see a beautiful item grow so quickly right before your very eyes. I do however, appreciate and admire those who knit and after seeing so many of my crochet sisters and brothers take up knitting, it makes want to take the plunge and give it a try!
I learned to knit early, learned crochet after my first child. I love the freedom of crochet with direction. Motion and ease. But I also love knitting for the same reason. So I guess I love both equally.
I just finished your red velvet rose wrap. It turned out quite beautiful if I must say so myself lol. I’m saving my money so I can buy some of your beautiful yarn. Thank you so much for the amazing tutorials you make everything so easy. Sending you the best.
😊💚😊💚
I really enjoy knitting, and sometimes crocheting because I love learning new skills and with these crafts, the learning is endless. I also love colour and beautiful soft fibres and making wearable art!
I just love playing with all the squishy, soft yarn! (Ok, I also like seeing the finished products and being able to give them to people, but the squishy squishy yarn really is the best part)
I love both knitting and crocheting but do knitting the most. I love giving a little of myself to those I love. I’ve taught many friends how to do both and enjoy seeing them fall in love with it.
I enjoy knitting and crocheting. Whether it’s a baby blanket, a scarf, a pair of socks, or even something as simple as a washcloth. Store-bought gifts are a bit impersonal. However, creating something by hand, with love and care, is a gift. Trying a new stitch, a new pattern, using a different wool, is exciting, challenging, soothing, grounding and satisfying all at the same time. Also involves different senses, such as touch, sound, sight, and breath. The ability to create something beautiful is a gift – for the giver as well as the receiver.
I love relaxing with my knitting, watching the project grow, and how it gives me something to do with my hands when I must sit still for a while.
i love both knitting and crocheting but right now i have been in to knitting a lot of stuff just finished a poncho for my granddaughter and working on a sweater for my self my next piece is going to be one of your patterns that i have and i love the looks of them all
I love the magic of starting with a skein of yarn and a hook/two sticks and ending with a hat, or a cowl, or a blanket. Then I get to stay warm with whatever I make. It’s great!
WhT a wonderful giveaway! I’m glad you’re including multiples of the same weight. Always love your colors and available patterns!
I Love the process. I taught myself to knit but I learned crochet from my mother and grandmother. I always say I’m a process knitter and a project crocheter. I feel like I can create anything with crochet, I love how structural it is, but knitting is my zen. I love both and use both equally. It’s a connection to my past and something that makes me look forward as well.
I love the tranquility and how it can take you away from all your problems…even if it’s just for a bit.
I do it for the creative aspects and stress relief, unless my counts don’t come out right. Lol. I think I really love the yarn itself as much as making anything out of it. Color is what really attracts me to a project. I would love to learn to dye yarn.
I love the quiet time it affords me. I’m allowed to be alone with my thoughts. But on the other side of that, I love that I’m creating a thing. Something to be worn or used, and the joy that brings me is indescribable.
Knitting is definitely my personal meditation time…it gives me calmness, inspiration & helps keep me mentally alert. It’s like reading a good book that you never want the story to end. Luckily with my knitting projects using beautiful yarns my knitting story continues! When I see the pleasure it gives to others who receive my knitted gifts it gives me joy. Your website has been such a wonderful help in my continuing drive to do my best & use the best products that I can. Thank you Chandi.
I like knitting as a way to limit snacking during tv time. I can’t eat because I want to keep my yarn clean! I have a stack of ufo in tote bags that I can take with me whenever I am along for the drive and it keeps me from feeling bored. When I do finish things they get given away at about equal rate to those I keep for myself and I only give to people who do handwork or have seen me knit so they know it takes time to complete.
I knit because I love. It’s as simple as that.
I love how relaxing crocheting can be and then how the excitement grows as the item grows and develops.
Hi Chandi,
I love knitting because it allows me to be creative and make something useful. When I knit I don’t feel like I’m wasting my time (I’m retired), so that is important to me. It is exciting to see yarns, colours and be inspired by patterns and by YOU! Keep up what you are doing, you may not hear from many of us, but we are listening!
Julie
I love knitting and crocheting because of the feeling of peace it gives me. It relaxes my brain and makes the world seem like a better place. We all need a little peace and what better way to get there by making something beautiful.
Even thru, sometimes the frustration of, learning new things, the calmness and accomplishment is still great
For me knitting just calms my mind. I am also a giver by nature and love to create things for others.
Another lovely group of yarn skeins! They are beautiful. Really love the Perseverance blanket pattern – almost have one done for my daughter (I like a larger one than the pattern called for so I pulled it back and redid using a full skein of yarn for each section). Will be doing this year’s blanket pattern too. They really are quite fun.
I love the movements my hands make when I’m crocheting, and when I’m knitting, I am reminded of my late grandmother. I feel closer to her. 🙂
I love knitting and Crochet because it allows me to create beautiful thingswith my numb MS hands! Love your yarn too! Thanks for what yiou do!
Crocheting is the craft I love most. I inherited the skill from my Mother who loved to crochet doilies (several of which are over 60 years old & in my possession), when she could afford to purchase the crochet thread to make them. I prefer making scarves, afghans, and scrubbies which are made with nylon net “yarn”.
I am a knitter and love the creative outlet it gives me. I also learned how to spin in 2018, which gives me even more options when it comes to yarny goodness.
I love the feeling of accomplishment and self satisfaction I get when I complete a proct. O think with a couple sticks you can make beautiful pieces of art! I a in awe and brings me joy when I see how you photograph and display all this beautiful yarn, the colors, the arrangements, how they reel our environment in such a beautiful way, Absolutely gorgeous!
I love creating beautiful and functional items. Knitting, crochet, and other creative outlets keep me focused and relaxed and wearing a warm hand knit shawl or sweater or seeing my grandchildren wrapped in cozy colorful blankets that I’ve made for them gives me joy.
When I crochet I am taken to a relaxing place where I enjoy the feel of the yarn as it moves through my fingers. When done I have something I can enjoy looking at, wearing, or gifting to someone who can enjoy it. I am still a beginner knitter, but I enjoy the challenge of becoming better no by honing my skills.
Knitting is a way too make beautiful gifts for friends and family while keeping my hands busy.
I like knitting and doing crochet because it is relaxing and put me in a good mood.
Knitting is tonic for my soul. Since I was 7 years old, I have knit to create beauty . Having yarn and needles in my hands centers me in the universe.
I especially love making gifts for others.
I love to crochet and create with my hands beautiful things for me and my family, it´s amazing how things takes form.
Knitting- It’s relaxing! Until I mess up and have to figure out how to fix my mistake 😅 I’m still new at this!
Good Day!!! Hmm, I love both knitting and crocheting. For some reason you’ll find me knitting most often. I think it’s the rhythm of the needles and the soothing effect it has. And at the end you have something that’s of value to yourself.
I love to crochet for many different reasons. I enjoy seeing the recipient’s reaction. I enjoy the surprise when others realize I’m the creator. I enjoy making gifts to give. I enjoy how quick I can whip something up. I enjoy the soothing relaxing movements. I enjoy how focus oriented I become. I enjoy the surprise I feel when my projects come out the way I want. Lately, I’ve been enjoying the feel of yarn. There are so many textures. I enjoy how I learn something new with each new project.
I love knitting! I love it because it’s so relaxing and exciting to make something that is always going to be used or worn. I love seeing people’s faces when I give them something I’ve made specifically for them. Brings joy to my heart ❤️
I love knitting. I have made different knitting projects. I have only done a small amount of basic crocheting, mostly borders.
Knitting helps keep my hands usable (I have arthritis) while letting me play with different colors and weights of yarn.
I love to crochet because it not only relaxes me, I have great handmade gifts to give.
I find knitting to be very calming and relaxing. I love being able to make some out of almost nothing with my own hands. I am definitely a gift knitter and love being able to give someone a gift that I made after putting so much thought and love into it.. and maybe a few strands of hair 😂
My love of knitting for family and friends comes from the link it creates in my mind and heart to my past generations of strong, capable women, my mom, and my mom’s mom. Their hands were never idle, sitting down meant picking up hand knitting (or crochet) to “do” for their family whatever was needed. <3 Their example has been a life-long inspiration for me.
Knitting is my sanity! An oasis of calm in a crazy reality. It gives me an opportunity to relax, to think, pray, contemplate, or even mourn. Plus when I’m done, there’s an item to wear, or gift.
I love the challenge. The creation of artistic and beautiful things.. it relaxes me and every peice I make is created with prayers for whoever the item is for. It takes me on a religious journey of prayer and grace. It helps me to think of God and the blessings I have received its a great meditative tool and art for peace and mindfulness.
I am predominately an intermediate knitter. I have been honing my craft for over 50 years, but I have learned to crochet and have been building up my skills for the past 10 years. Now I can crochet almost as well as I knit (more of an experienced beginner than an intermediate crochet artist). I learned to drop spin fiber but cannot honestly address myself as an experienced beginner, really just a beginner. Either way, I love the cushiony smooth feel of the expression fiber arts and have produced a few of the projects Chandi puts out in knitting and crochet. Yarn is my comfort and that was the only goal I wanted to achieve as soon as I retired. So I have been involved in the yarn arts every day for the last 6 years (retired military and retired civil servant).
I enjoy learning new stitches, and being rewarded with the company of other knitters and crocheters as well as the (usually) lovely finished products.
I want to do something with my hands when I’m sitting and watching tv.
With knitting and crochet i love the most that it creates something. Something to wear or something to play with =)
I love the peace of working on it (even when I’m yelling at it, I still get peace from it), and I love that when I’m done, I have an object I can use. Whether it’s for around the house (potholders!) or to wear (socks, shawls, sweaters, mitts, hates…) I know that it’ll be beautiful and useful.
I really enjoy crocheting and have made everything from blankets to doll clothes. I especially like to crochet round table cloths, plant hangers, and afghans. Since I am in ill health and my mobility is limited, crocheting and genealogy take up most of my spare time. I will be forever indebted to my late daughter (Tina), for teaching me how to crochet, even though she was right-handed and I am left-handed. Crocheting is also my way of feeling Tina’s closeness. Reminds me how much I love her.
The colours always is a wonderful source of inspiration!
There is something addictive about crocheting with a beautiful soft yarn in gorgeous colors.
I love the process. Learning.
I love crocheting because it reminds me of time spent with my Gma.
I have been knitting for over 65 years! I find it very relaxing and centering. I must have something on my needles at Ll times and I make a baby sweater for every new baby I hear about.
I find both knitting and crocheting very relaxing and satisfying. It’s a wonderful sense of accomplishment in completing a project, especially when knitting or crocheting for my grandkids.
I love seeing a project come together, and turning sock heels!!!??
I work at a job that requires compliance with government regulations and a great deal of number crunching. It does not leave a lot of room for creative thinking. Knitting and crochet are a balm to my soul which craves color and texture and creativity.
I love both Knitting and crocheting because of the space of peace i can get when i craft. its my time, and i relax. also i love my beloved people using my creations, they love them, i love them, love for all! 😀
What I love most about knitting and crocheting is the beautiful items that are created…one stitch at a time, minute by minute, a piece of art is born. I also love the meditative effect it has.
I crochet, and making seems to be my happy place at this season of life. I love the process of planning the project, usually a gift, picking the yarn, modifying the pattern or simply incorporating various stitches and construction guidelines into my vision.
What I love most about knitting is making gifts for Family, Friends & charity! Knitting is a great stress reliever🥰
When I am knitting it allows me to relax and focus. I love the end result and seeing the persons face who receives the item.
I enjoy the peace it brings to me and also the challenges a project has.
I like knitting & crocheting because it makes me feel a connection to both my grandmas. It was rare for either of them not to have a project in hand 💕
I love hunting for projects to make for friends, family and myself. I learn something with each creation.
I love that my down time feels like self-care and feels productive, as I tend to make items that can be used.
While your hands become occupied with a meditative and fulfilling task, your mind is freed to wander or engage in something else at the same time. It’s no wonder women in the Victorian era who had no real jobs and many social expectations would bring project bags of knitting/lace/pointwork with them to call upon their friends.
Crocheting the same thing is ok but my favorite thing is learning new stitches and patterns. One day I WILL LEARN to knit.
I’ve always said that crochet was my zen but now I have to add that it is also my best rehab exercise due to a stroke in early December.
I am a beginner at crochet. I enjoy making gifts for my grandchildren.
I love the whole process. Finding the perfect yarn for a project, creating my own little kits, the feel of the yarn running through my fingers, and watching it take shape. I am a fiber addict!
I love the sense of calm it brings me. The repetitive motions are soothing and the pattern repeats can sometimes be like a mantra. I’ve never tried meditation but I feel knitting might be pretty close to it.
I love to crochet and create lovely and useful items, most of which are given as gifts. I crochet pretty much daily. It is relaxing , good for my brain and hands! I especially appreciate all of the fantastic patterns available on your site! Thank you for all of your inspiration!
Knitting & crocheting are a center point that provides me a multitude of paths to follow. These paths include people who share their joy, knowledge & culture, as well as the unlimited types of yarn, colors & patterns that make my journey unique each & every time.
I am a knitter but taught myself to crochet during lockdown. I love how fast it grows when crocheting.
I love knitting and crocheting because it’s relaxing. I love the feel of the yarn in my hands, the rythmatic motion of using the hook or needle. I love creating something that can be held or worn and gifting what I create to the ones I love.
What I love about crochet is that it feels relaxing. It is also really cool too know that you are capable in making things. People always seem to be impressed.
First love is knitting. I love that it puts me in a meditative state, or gets my creative juices flowing for new ideas or projects. It’s a natural mind body and soul feeder.
It’s so many things at once for me. It’s a calming activity. The rhythmic movements help to focus and center me. But it’s also learning new things. A puzzle.
I can’t pick what I like most about knitting. The feel of the yarn, the process, the intricacy, the end result…. ALL OF IT!
I love EVERYTHING about knitting!!! Even frogging, because then I get to knit even more! I love the yarn! I love picking out the yarn and the pattern, I love learning new stitches or ways of doing things, I love the finished object whether I give it to someone else or give it to me. But most of all, I love how it always brings me to the right here and now. It is a meditation. I can sit in silence for hours knitting and be perfectly happy and at peace. And I do believe that once I taught myself to knit almost 60 years ago, I have felt the same way about knitting. And I have a 50 year old throw that my grandsons love to lay under on the bed while they watch tv!!! I love it!!!!!!!
I love the meditative state that knitting brings me to, and the fun of creating beautiful items for myself and others.
The thing I love most about crocheting or knitting is the look on someone’s face when they receive something that you made them. I absolutely love to knit and crochet, and it gives me a sense of peace and happiness.
Knitting and crocheting almost daily is for calming my mind, along with the need to work my hands in a productive way. Since Covid struck in 2020, there has been an uptick in my need to create. I tear out as much as I produce though. I’m hoping one of your beautiful designs will bring me peace.
I love to crochet, it gives me joy making something beautiful and special for others.
I am just learning to knit. I’ve been crocheting for years. I love the calming effect I get from either….. till I notice am oops 10 rows back and have to frog to fix it
I love giving things away!!! Sometimes I’ll start a project not knowing what I’m going to do with it when God speaks to my heart and I know exactly who it’s for <3
I love how relaxing knitting is. It’s such a great skill to have. It would be amazing to win this giveaway I’m used to worsted weight and would love to try all the different yarn types. So pretty!
I knit and crochet. I just love the peace it gives me and how I feel I’m connecting to the matrix of women everywhere, now, in the time to come and in the past.
I love to crochet. I have had a health issue since early November that causes me pain when I crochet. I had a spinal injection last week that “should” help with the pain. I look forward to getting back to crocheting VERY soon!
I have enjoyed knitting and crocheting since I was twelve years old. Both crafts produce beautiful items. Over the years knitting and crocheting has always been my calm place..
unfortunately, I lost both parents within a six month period last year and crocheting has been my saviour, helping with my depression and anxiety has a result of the loss of my parents. My dream is to design a shawl in honour of my mother and father. A piece that will remind me of them and fill my heart with loving memories and joy every time I wear it.
I am all about color; I love watching the colors pass through my fingers. Seeing a beautiful fiber grow in my hands warms my heart and my hands.
I think I love the yarn the most. The feel and the look. I am starting to think I am more of a curator of yarn than a crocheter or knitter. I dream of projects with the pretty yarn. Then worry I will wreck the pretty yarn. I still manage to knock out a project here in there. However, looking at the pretty yarn makes me happy and gives me joy. I love looking at the colour ways and am amazed at the talent at putting colors together of hand-dyers.
I love to knit for many reasons.
It lets me get out of my head. To lose myself in the repetition of simple motions that – somehow – form a beautiful fabric.
It’s a very special kind of magic. I mean, really, a couple of pointed ends attached by a cable, and some string, and time, and I have a hat or a sweater or a shawl or a sock or… so many things.
It lets me speak one of my favorite love languages: giving someone I care about something I made with my own hands and my own magic, crafted while thinking of them, and their reaction upon receiving it, and how they might use the item I’m making for them.
It has its own sensory delights. The clicking of the needles, the fiber sliding through my fingers, the finished fabric under my hand, and – my goodness – the feel of fiber after fiber, moving through a yarn shop, waiting to determine what yarn will speak to me.
I am not, however, sure that the oft-repeated phrase “knitting is cheaper than therapy” applies to me. However, that other phrase (“I knit so I don’t kill people”) might be closer to the truth.
I love color; it is so rewarding to see a beautiful fabric taking shape under my fingers. It warms my heart and my hands.
Crochet fills a creative need in my soul.
The best part of crochet for me is that it is very meditative and gives me a place to relax and think. A very close second is seeing the reactions from those I gift a project. Warms my heart.
I love that I can basically take a string and create it into something beautiful, useful or decorative. Knitting is restful for my soul.
I use it as a form of meditation and to unwind from work. Plus, having cute, snuggly stuff to cozy up with is always a plus!!
I fell in love with crochet the first time I held a hook and yarn. It’s been a mad addiction since. The challenge of bringing just the right yarn together with just the right pattern never gets old. There is always something new to learn and the actual crochet process is calming. I feel elation when I gift one of my creations and can see it bring joy and love.
I love that something that I can do to keep my hands busy also produces something useful.
What a beautiful display of “my” colors! Crocheting is my zen place, especially in winter otherwise it’s a toss up between crochet and gardens. I’m known for shawls, wraps, scarves and I’ve recently discovered clothing I’m not terrified to try (MONTASTRAEA). Working on number 3, everyone loves it. I’ve even done a few christening gowns in thread now. Love Love Love EFA yarn, wish I could afford a whole lot more!
PS. Thanks for all that you and your team does!
I love to knit because it satisfies my creative side and it relaxes me.
I love the process and the feeling of accomplishment when my project is done. I love to look at my handknit item and see how beautiful it is and that I created it.
I love slowly watching my hands create something usable. When it’s good yarn I also love the softness under my fingertips!
And boy, is EFA good yarn!
I mostly make gifts or donations. Every baby needs a hand made blanket, right? Crochet and knit is a way to slow down and relax. Crochet is easy. Knit I have to focus on what I’m doing, so I do prayer shawls in knit so I take the time to pray as I’m working.
A knitter most of my life at 70 I became bistitchual whilst recovering from back surgery. Now I switch with pleasure from one to the other whenever the mood or project takes me. Not a day goes by when I don’t have either needle or hook in hand and spending quality time to make yet another masterpiece. We are all artists..and our projects/masterpieces can also extend the pleasure to benefit others. 🙂
What I love about crochet is that you don’t have to be good with complicated patterns to make pretty things. If you’re only good at making granny squares you can still sew them all together and make a beautiful scarf or sweater or blanket. I like that there can be something useful made even out of the most basic stitches.
I love crotchet items like a birthday blankets for my lovely daughters and cardigan for me, along with hats. Starting to make animals my new challenge.
Knitting is a calming force and allows me to center myself after a hectic workday while enjoying colors and textures.
P.S. I love the photos for this month. Well done, Tim!
Knitting and crocheting gives me a sense of accomplishment and relaxation!
I find knitting, crocheting or Tunisian crochet very relaxing. I sit while working with wool and this reduces my heartbeat. The thoughts can wander while rhythmically working. This makes knitting or crocheting an absolutely meditative experience. I enjoy daydreaming while a new favorite piece takes shape in my hands.
It’s a joy and relaxation to watch the colors dance together in some kind of surprise when working with hand dyed yarn.
I love the process of knitting or crocheting – the feel of the yarn, the quiet of the moment, the joy of making something pretty and/or functional, the relaxation, the honing in of the moment-by-moment beauty of the yarn and stitches, and the joy it brings to create something with my hands!
SUCH PRETTY COLORS FOR MY BIRTHDAY MONTH! AND ITS THE BIG ONE – 70!
CROCHET HELPS ME RELAX, MY STRESS RELEASE.
I love the feel of a beautiful yarn as it moves through my fingers.
I loved crocheting prayer shawls for chemo patients at the Medstar Washington Cancer Institute. We haven’t been able to donate anything since the COVID pandemic started. I would really like to do that again in the near future. My passion is crocheting for others.
I love how crocheting gets me out of my head. I calm down.
What I love most about knitting and crocheting, I do both, is the satisfaction of creating something with my own hands that others can enjoy.
I enjoy stitching beautiful and useful things.
Love playing with color and creating something unique
Knitting and crocheting allows me the opportunity to give gifts made with love by hand. And for me, I get that special pattern in the right size, the right fiber and the right color. There is so much freedom, relaxation, and personal gratification in doing this.
I love a one or two row pattern repeat when crocheting. Helps me calm my anxiety. My favorite thing to crochet is triangle shawls. I am currently trying to write my first Tunisian crochet pattern.
I mostly love the routine of choosing what to make next and then finding a yarn to use for the item. The challenge of finishing an item is second to that, but I do love the rhythm, the yoga-ness of it.
I just learned to crochet in October and am loving it! I love seeing the immediate results of twisting my hand this way and that way. Instant gratification. LOL I also love that I can take it with me. It’s pretty much impossible to take my sewing but I can definitely take some yarn and hooks and work on something beautiful.
What I love most about knitting and crocheting is that I get to play in and look thru the beautiful yarns, then make them into something special for my loved ones! Thank you Chandi!
I love knitting, though I can crochet, too. Knitting for me inspires Dreams & Memories. Finding a pattern that speaks to you and dreaming of the perfect yarn for it. Or finding a yummy yarn and dreaming of the pattern to make it come to life. Memories of my mother teaching me to knit when I was 6 yrs old while we watched American Bandstand and took frequent dance breaks. Memories of my Aunt teaching me to crochet on lazy afternoons at her house in my early teens. Knitting is meditative for me, but also challenging with a sense of accomplishment. It’s also a great way to listen to audiobooks without falling asleep!
just letting the yarn flow through my hands, sometimes the end product is a surprise
I love crochet and knitting !!
I love to crochet all day every day. It brings me joy to make things for my friends and family.
I love to crochet and I really like new patterns and stitches. I can’t draw a ‘stick person’ to save my life, but I am happy with how my crochet items turn out, very rewarding indeed.
I love creating and find knitting a soothing and satisfying pastime. Sometimes it’s just the collection of beautiful yarns that brings me pleasure.
I love knitting for several reasons. One reason is that it allows me to create useful and beautiful items for myself and my family. Another reason is that I thoroughly enjoy the sensation of the feel of different types of fiber against my hands. It can be comforting and soothing, which allows me to relax. However, I think my primary love of the craft comes from being able to completely give myself over to the process and rhythm. If it is a difficult pattern, the rest of the world fades away and I have to focus on just that pattern, the needles and the way the fiber reacts. On days that I have too much going on, it is a good way to clear my mind and focus. If it is a simple pattern, it allows my mind to wander and work through problems, watch a favorite show, or listen to a new book. I have been knitting now for almost 30 years, and it is one of the few things that I crave and hold dear to my heart; my time for knitting.
I like to be doing something with my hands at all times so I always keep some project near me. I am just beginning to relearn how to knit and crochet therefore my projects so far have been pretty simple, but I still have fun so it doesn’t matter.
I love creating something with the hook and yarn. It can be something useful or something decorative. I also like to make things for people who will appreciate the skill that went into making the item.
I love how it lets me decompress while making gifts for those I love
My favorite thing is getting in *the zone* with either a knit or crochet project. It becomes a kind of meditation.
I love to knit both because I enjoy the process of creating something new that no one else has made, even if they’ve used the same pattern and because I love giving one of a kind gifts to friends and family who appreciate them.
I love knitting, and all things crafty, because I find joy in the making. I love the adventure of seeing a project grow. It also gives me a sense of connection to my ancestors like my grandma who would let me sit on the armrest of her chair as a child and ask too many questions about what she was making.
Hi Chandi, knitting is for my wellness..it calms and manages my busy mind, tuning out the noise. It allows me to imagine the person that I’m knitting this hat or pair of mittens , the joy and warmth they’re going to feel when receiving these and wearing them. I knit in some positive vibes. Thank you for your kindness and beautiful gift. You are amazing, appreciated and loved.
I love that it’s so hands on and you get something that could last your whole life after you’ve finished. If I crochet someone a piece, it could become something beloved by them, that’s amazing from a good yarn, some love and a little time.
I like feeling super proud that I made something with my own hands. It almost feels like magic! I also love the feeling of learning a new stitch or trying out a new pattern – it’s very satisfying!
I love watching the yarn turn into a fabric, the feel of a good yarn, and the satisfaction of having a tangible product afterwards if I’m knitting while watching or reading something.
The opportunity to be quiet and occupy the mind enough so you can process other things. I ding knitting to be very therapeutic.
I like to knit and crochet. I find them both relaxing. I enjoy seeing a finish project.
I’m like a kid in the candy store when I see all the luscious yarn colors and textures! So much to choose from! I’ll take 1 (or 5) of everything! 😄
I love crocheting because it helps me unwind after a stressful day at work. It also makes me happy because I can make so many gorgeous projects.
I Love knitting because it’s calming and turns out some awesome projects! I feel like I’m showing off when I wear something I’ve made. Maybe I am! Also, I love that I can give amazing, valuable gifts with relatively little spending.
While knitting or crocheting I love to feel the yarn slide through my fingers and transform from a string of yarn to something useful to wear, decorate my home with, or transform into a gift to someone😊
I love the soothing time being able to focus on myself and the creation of something.
I love creating things with my own hands and seeing it progress off the needles.
It so relaxing to knit or crochet, I also love to be creative. And yarn, what’s not to love?
What I love most about knitting is the connection it gives me to my grandmother. She taught me to knit, and she died when I was six. I have her needles, and every time I work on a project, I feel grateful to her for lovingly giving me a lifelong skill.
I love to crochet because I love to make useful, beautiful things.
So many reasons…playing with color, making something beautiful, learning new stitches and techniques, seeing new patterns I just have to try, the feeling as the project grows and keeps you warm while you are working on it, giving things that feel like love as gifts, and more!
Many years ago, my 3yrs younger brother was in 3rd grade teacher taught the class knitting! When I saw him knitting, I thought ” that does not go around here”. I went to library and checked out a book, then to the small towns dime store and found a booklet to buy. It took a while before he would let me set in the same room and knit together. when I graduated, I got a job in a nursing home. I was on the cleaning team. I met a patient who would let me watch her knitting, it was magic. She was blind and knitting the Norwegian way. I took my breaks and part of my lunch hour learning to knit knitting THE NORWEIGIAN WAY.

I find a number of Fiber Arts to be Mindful, especially weaving but knitting too unless I mess up. LOL
I have been crocheting since I was 13. I never really followed patterns, just made it up as I went along. In the past six months I’ve had a whole new world open up to me with all the online pages and tutorials that I never knew existed. I’ve learned so many new stitches and found so many new patterns. I love the challenge of learning new stitches and creating beautiful things to give to family and friends.
Crocheting and knitting keeps me calm in the crazy world we live in even if no one wants what I make fiber arts keeps me happy!!!!
I think what I love most about crocheting is the flexibility for suiting my needs. I primarily crochet to reduce stress, but stress reduction isn’t one size fits all. With crochet, I can work up something quick if I need to feel I’ve accomplished something because I’m sick on something else at work, or I can dive into a really complex pattern if I need to distract myself for a while. If I’m feeling creative, I can design something myself, and if I’m overloaded, I can let someone else do the thinking and follow a pattern. It is an excellent outlet, and the tactile part of it is very soothing regardless of what approach I’m taking.
*stuck* on something at work, not sick!
I carry my WIP’s everywhere !! Crochet is easy to tote almost anywhere. Lots of conversation starters and give me something to do while I have a moment or am waiting for appointments or whatever.. Clears the busy brain and lets you concentrate on your work.
I have been crocheting for over 60 years and knitting for about 20…..I love making things for family and friends. Crocheting and knitting are my stress releasing times nd also time to just enjoy gorgeous fibers and watch them evolve into beautiful works of art. Thank you for offering such beautiful fibers and patterns. i would love to be able to win this gorgeous collection.
Knitting and crocheting are the only way this self-employed CPA can get her brain out of the office! I’d have suffered burn out long ago if it wasn’t for my yarn addiction. :o)
Knitting is good self-care and self-love, especial when I make knitted items for a friend, family or myself and it fits well and is enjoyed often!
Knitting= Happiness!
Love buying your beautiful yarn and knitting and crocheting your patterns. You inspire me!
What I love most about both is the sort of relaxed and almost meditative feeling I get while I’m working, and that at the end of it I have something tangible to show for my time and effort.
I feel so very good that I’ll knit something for myself and I absolutely love it 💕 . THEN when an occasion comes up…I give that item to someone I love dearly and it makes my heart swell that they love it too! And they ask me ” WOW you made this!?”
Aaah ❤️
I love both knitting and crocheting. I especially love how relaxed I feel and how much joy it gives me make something for somebody else.
I love fiber arts 🧶❤️ because dealing with constant unbearable pain is a struggle for me. And being able to focus on such beautiful colors get me inspired to make something beautiful.
I love how zen it can be. And the reward of having created something at the end. Or not, but learning something along the way and gaining experience and skills.
LOVE the colors!
I find knitting to be very relaxing. I’ve been knitting for more than 60 years.
I love finishing! That’s the best part.
I love to knit and crochet because it keeps my mind off being bedridden by chronic pain and illness. And it helps me provide for my family when I sell my creations. I don’t know what I’d do without it!
I like doing both; it’s so relaxing and I just gotta have something for my hands to do. Making beautiful things in pretty yarn is a result of that.
It has been a great way to hang out with and connect with my friend who is teaching me how to knit! We are doing the MKAL together!
I have a few mental illnesses, and knitting keeps me focused on the here and now. I also need to calm myself in order to knit, so if I feel something getting to me, I just need to grab the stabby-stabs and take a few deep breaths, and I’m me again. It’s also so satisfying watching something substantial grow from just a piece of string, something that’ll end up keeping someone I care about warm.
I love knitting because it is the best therapy.
My heart always feels a little lighter after I sit and knit a few rows.
Finishing something that I wanted to make.
I both knit and crochet, but knitting is my favorite. I call it my Mind Yoga. It’s cheaper than therapy!!
I love knitting and crocheting for the meditative and calming nature of them. They connect you with your soul essence while creating something beautiful in the transformation of the fiber into a fabric work of art.
I love yarn and anything to do with it. Love using bright colours, and seeing how the same yarn looks different whether knit or crocheted.
Hello
as with all my crafting, including knitting and crochet, I love the joy of watching the look on peoples faces when I give them a hat or scarf, shawl, socks. I love how it ;makes the recipient feel special. Knitting makes me sleepy, but at the same time it eases anxiety and is most relaxing to me.
handmade is always fun for me.
I love that I can wiggle two sticks and some string and make something useful or beautiful from just that ball of string. It’s magic!
I love creating something beautiful and useful with my own hands.
I love watching fabric appear from a string of yarn. And it always feels like magic to me when I turn a heel on a sock, or add a sleeve to a sweater.
All the beautiful colors and possibilities.
I love to create beautiful things with yarn for myself and for others!
I love the stress relief that crochet brings. Though, I think that is a bonus. My favorite thing is actually the yarn. I LOVE yarn. All kinds of yarn (yes, I think I’m an addict 😉 ). To see the transformation of a skein or hank of yarn into something/anything is kinda magical in a way.
I love being able to make beautiful things.
I knit while I sit with my elderly Mother every evening. Love goes into every stitch!
BEAUTIFUL colors!!
It keeps me busy and off my phone and I love making things to wear.
Choosing between crochet and knitting is like being asked which child is your favorite. The answer depends on what mood I’m in. Lol. I love them both. I’m new to knitting so I like the challenge but crochet is able to give such unique textures.
Me encanta tejer porque es relajante y me hace sacar el extres.!!
I love to knot and crochet because is relaxing !!
I think what I love most is having something to do with my hands and also feeling like I’m creating something. both of those bring me joy. I love being able to knit during a work meeting.
I love the way the yarn feels on my skin, I love to see a piece of crochet or knit forming from scratch, I love especially working with variegated yarn to watch what color pattern will form, I love the way my friends wonder when they see a garment handmade, in this modern world where everything is machine-made …
What I love most about knitting or crocheting is the creation of beautiful, colourful pieces to wear. On top of that is gives me peace in my head :-).
I love feeling relaxed while I am knitting and accomplished when I finish a project.
I love crochet for the relaxing therapy it provides me. I also enjoy making items for others and seeing the joy they have. My next goal is to learn to knit. So many beautiful yarns and patterns and so little time!
I love crocheting – not only is it relaxing, but I can make something beautiful and useful from beautiful yarn.
I love creating beautiful, colorful things and knitting a crochet give me a way to do that. I’ve tried a lot of crafty things and knitting, crochet and sewing have been the things that have really stuck with me and feel like they fulfill me.
I love knitting to relax while I am creating something beautiful and unique!
It gives me something to do with my hands while I’m listening to things. I HATE just sitting still. I have the hardest time in meetings. But if I can knit or crochet something mindless, I can just sit and listen to things for hours without fidgeting, falling asleep, letting my mind wander.
I love knitting because it’s relaxing and I love to challenge myself, learning more techniques as I go!
Knitting has been a game changer for me! I’m an avid gardener, also, and once the ground freezes I can no longer in the garden. This year I started knitting again and I have been knitting all winter! Love it! No more days of depression because I can’t get in the garden. And completing projects is the best feeling in the world Something that I have created with my idle hands and the opportunity to wear it and show it off. That’s an awesome feeling!
I will definitely try my hand at one of Chandie’s patterns as soon as I find the perfect one. They’re all so beautiful!
Yes! Try her patterns! I have made several of her shawls and they are beautiful! You won’t be disappointed!
Knitting for me is therapeutic and a stress reliever. It helps me stay sane!
I Love to crochet. It relaxes me and keeps me sane. The things I make I give to family as gifts throughout the year. I knit but slowly and I sew. I want to say thank you for all the beautiful patterns that you share with us and your yarns are so lovely.
Knitting is a time for really being in the Now and that’s very rejuvenating menatlly and emotionally.
Though I love the beautiful garments (and now socks as I’ve cracked using dpns finally) that I can knit, I adore how quickly and easily I can make beautiful textured crochet blanketsthat looks really complicated! I also enjoy making my own patterns up with crochet, whereas I’m not that confident to mix it up too much when knitting.
I love how relaxing crocheting is and the satisfaction I get from making something beautiful. Also, the smiles on my grandchildren’s faces when I make them something.
I love to crochet. being disabled, it brings me peace and gives me something to do that still makes people realize that I am still important and can still be productive. It has been long road. I am hoping to learn to knit as well. Inever gt to have the higher quality yarns, very often, so I always try to enter your giveaways when I can. It would beso amazing to be able to try some of your yarn. I have beena huge fan of all of your colorways for years. Crocheting lets me work a common piece of yarn into something beautiful. I just love everything about it.
I love that I can always challenge myself and learn new things or try to make my own. There is so much freedom for creativity.
I love it when I come across a different color while knitting or crocheting with a variegated yarn. It’s very relaxing while I’m working on a sweater or stuffed animal and the end result has its own character with the changes in color.
I love that you can take something simple like yarn and turn it into something completely different! The transformation is amazing to watch.
These are absolutely MY colors…..they are so gorgeous.
Knitting helos be to relax after working all day. I am 76 years old and still working full time (50+hrs). When I am done at the computer knitting is so calming. Having carpal tunnel surgery on one hand the 27th but he says knitting is still there for me once the stitches are removed.
I was taught to crochet and knit by my grandmothers. While I enjoy the sensory process of working with (most) yarn, what I enjoy the most is the memories of sitting and learning from them. Every time I crochet or knit, I’m reminded of them and the amazing legacy that they passed on to my sister and me. Fortunately, I’ve been able to teach both of my sons how to crochet and knit. It feels really good to know that I’ve been able to pass this legacy along to the next generation. I sincerely hope that someday they will pass along those skills as well.
Thanks again Chandi for your generosity with this yarn giveaway! –Trudi (aka Gwendy Rose)
Hi Chandi🧶I am also a self professed lover of anything yarn and textiles. Especially the calmness that knitting brings, all while creating beautiful wearable garments. And I love the many intricate designs that can be created by combining lace, cables and colourwork. Thank you for offering the world of knitters and crocheters such an awesome yarn giveaway! Happy stitching.
Alice
j’aime apprendre toute sorte de points techniques, que ce soit au tricot ou crochet très à l’aise pour les 2 techniques.
The thing I love most is that my mind is on my creation and, for that precious bit of time, my stress and worries are quieted.
Oh so many things I love about crochet and knitting … firstly I LOOOVE yarn … and crochet and knitting are the best ways to enjoy playing with my favourite ‘stuffs’. I love being creative and learning new things, challenging myself, giving handmade, one of a kind special gifts, and just making beautiful things for the sake of making beautiful things, for the joy and sense of achievement I get from succeeding and completing something and then the joy it gives me when I give it to someone else and I see the joy it gives them. And crochet does this for me. It is also like a meditation, brings such a deep peace, best stress relief ever – its ZEN. I have just recently tried knitting again, and I love the challenge this is offering – I dove feet first into the “Plongee” shawl pattern – wow its like going on a first date, I am soo excited and soo nervous when I pick up the needles, hyper focused and aware while trying to figure out the pattern and make the stitches and then soo full of joy when I have managed to complete a few rows. Best adrenaline rush eva. I mean, c’mon, with a pair of sticks or a funny little hooked stick and some twisted fiber you can make anything, from utilitarian clothing and household goods to a 3d (4d?) object or even a portrait or landscape picture – Wow the possibilities are endless – its Art baby, and I love it !!
Knitting is what I do to keep my sanity.
I love most about it is the process. I take such good care in every aspect. Love watching it unfold in front of my eyes!
AND … I just love that after scrolling thru 600 and something messages, I realise that we all love the same things about Knitting and Crochet and yarns of all kinds. From North, South (me in Africa), East and West, we are one in our love of the mighty pointy and hook-ed sticks and twisty fluffy (and not so fluffy) string stuff
Knitting and crocheting are my stress-busters, especially when using your beautiful yarn…..so wonderful to work with!
I love having something to do with my hands, I love being able to make bespoke pieces for myself and my loved ones, I love the endless variety of combinations of texture, color, and pattern, and I love the challenge of constantly finding new and better ways to make. I don’t think I could be a teacher without my knitting!
I enjoy making wearables, the crocheting process itself allows me to practice mindfulness and relaxation, and I end up with beautiful items to wear or gift to loved ones.
Hi all you knitters! What I love about knitting is the accomplishment of finishing a project from a skein of yarn to a gorgeous wearable piece! The start to finish process and in between provides me with satisfaction and appreciation for the art of knitting and most importantly for the yarn dyers who come up with such beautiful colors to help us make a beautiful piece!
Crochet soothes my soul. I’v been crocheting since I was 10 years old. I could’t understand at that age how my grandma could just sit there and crochet. Now I know.
knitting calms the mind and feeds the soul!
Uhm, still new to all this but I would say all there is to learn. Every where I turn I’m like oh I want to try that or wow, wonder if I can do that. And wow so many amazing and talented people who crochet & knit. The projects are just so inspiring. And omg the yarn is like just so idk like fabulous & gorgeous 🥰 lol.
Knitting is my happy place. I love fondling the yarns. I love creating knitted items for myself and loved ones. I love sharing the joy of knitting with friends and students.
I like knitting because it’s both creative and practical at the same time.
I love knitting toys and dolls and seeing kids get excited over them !
It’s calming for me but it also helps me focus on other things, like conversations or lectures. It’s siphons just enough off of my overactive brain.
With knitting, I love the smooth fabrics I can get, especially with your yarns! I’m learning about cables recently and more intricate yarn patterns and the stitches just always looks so pristine.
With crochet, I learned from my great grandma when I was 6 so it’s always felt comfortable, like being home no matter where I am. I love the textured stitches of crochet, like bobbles, sedge stitch, herringbone, and shell stitches. My great grandmother loved shells so doing those stitches always reminds me of her.
What crochet means to me is sanity, beauty, generosity, love, and happiness. What I mean by this is when I’m focused on a pattern my anxiety doesn’t have a chance to beat me down. Beauty for the beautiful yarn and the beautiful patterns that just make the yarn even more stunning just makes you appreciate what one really long string can become a work of art. Generosity love and happiness are all tied together in the gift of giving. When you make something for someone and they don’t know you’re making it and you just surprise them with it the look of pure joy in their eyes in their soul really melts my heart. To know that I can make something for somebody that can help them keep them warm in their heart and on their outsides during the cold weather makes me smile.
I find knitting to be relaxing and try to do some every day or two.
I love the connection with my ancestors: my great-grandmother taught my grandmother how to knit, my grandmother taught my mother and my mother taught me.
The act of creation. There is something magical in the ability to take a simple string and turn it into something more.
I love the soothing rhythm and the feeling of the yarn in my hands. I appreciate the restful nature of knitting that absorbs my attention.
Hi, I’m a self taught crocheter and knitter. Not the fastest, but enjoy completing a project. I crochet more than I knit, but you inspire me to try knitting more. I love making blankets. I knitted one baby blanket and it turned out pretty good. A funny thing with my blanket, I was using circular needles for the first time and was knitting and knitting and realized I was making a cocoon! Love watching your videos!
I tried to comment earlier but think it may have landed in the wrong place on your page, so am submitting again just in case. The quick version of the prior comment is that for me, knitting and crocheting are both a form of meditation and a very satisfying creative outlet – a double win!
I love the colors and texture of the yarn and the process of doing something creative!
I love making things for my family. Knitting and crocheting at the end of the day is the best way to relax!
I like how relaxing crocheting is and how exciting it is to create something! I also love to gift my makings – it’s wonderful to make someone happy!
I just think it’s really cool to create something and see it come together…it makes me feel really accomplished and proud of myself 🙂
What beautiful scrumptious yarn! I love knitting especially when it’s cold outside. Here in Southern California, it’s normally hot, so I take advantage at this short time to relax and meditate on the wonderful sounds of the birds outside and how grateful I am for all that we are given each day. Life is good…
I love knitting because it calms me down during tax season! 🙂
The images for this month’s giveaway are stunning!
I don’t know if I have just one thing I love about knitting or crocheting, between the calming effects of the craft that allow me to daydream or brainstorm without distraction or just the fact that I can take a skein of yarn and make stuff. One of the best things for me is the fact that if I don’t like something I make and can unmake it and reuse the material. Can do that with many other arts or crafts that I’ve tried.
…what i like about crocheting is that is ALWAYS done by hand…that is rather special, even today!
There are so many things I love about knitting (and crocheting)…the feel of the yarn the beauty of the result, the magic of taking “string” and making a beautiful shawl or a useful hat. My favorite thing about knitting would have to be the memories it brings me. When I was a very young girl, I can remember being mesmerized by the clicking of the DP knitting needles of my grandmother and the magic of waking up in the morning to a new pair of mittens or a new pair of socks. When I was old enough to effectively hold a set of needles, Grammie taught me the basic art of knitting. Once I got to a point where I could knit a few rows and end up with the same number of stitches as the number with which I began, Grammie said – well, I think it is time to make a scarf and off I went. I am now 57 and have been knitting for 1/2 a century. When I am making a delicate shawl or really anything, I think of the click, click, click of my Grammie’s needles and remember her fondly. Neither my mother nor my daughter had any desire to knit or craft. I am happy to say that my 5 year old grand daughter has expressed an interest and I can’t wait to teach her how to make her first scarf.
Crocheting helps me relax and quiet my mind.
I love knitting , it makes me calm and relax Knitting is just like a yoga. Especially knitting with these gorgeous yarns.. makes me feel like in paradise.
Knitting is like therapy – my grandma always said busy hands calm heart. It’s true. There is nothing like filling the time with productive rhymic creativity weather I’m watching TV or waiting at my son’s track meets for this events. It’s amazing to have something beautiful to show for your time and energy.
The stress reduction!!
I love the thought that while taking care of me; relaxing, reflecting and being thankful for my gift; I am able to be productive, making beautiful things and learning new techniques.
I love to knit, this is my passion!🥰🥰🥰 I love the process, play with the colors of yarn, and finally – the finished object!🌞✨
What I love about knitting is that it provides “me-time”, but I still end up with something useful (and beautiful)!
I like the creating process and it helps with stress.
The yarn is beautiful on it’s own and doesn’t need the flowers. Makes it hard to see the yarn. 😉
I love choosing patterns and yarns to make gifts for my family and friends, and for charity knitting.
I love how crochet feeds my creativity and sense of well-being!
I love the peace that knitting gives me. To hear my little dog breathing, the fireplace snapping, the coffee pot gurgling. All this tells me I have peace in my valley.🌻
I love that the process is my escape from having to worry about anyone or anything whilst I click my needles together – except of course, following the pattern 🙂 Just my little slice of paradise, right in the middle of my loungeroom….mostly at the end of my day….
Hi Chandi, my passion for knitting started at a very young age and to this day still is, it helps me forget of my everyday problems.
Thank you for your tutorial
I took up knitting since 2013 after my life was hitting rock bottom in 2012. I was silently depressed and had no one to talk to, I had too took care of my own feeling and my own mental state. Learn knitting from youtube and books, and I find comfort and a distractions from all my negative feeling and mind (still do until now). I don’t know where I’ll be if I didn’t took up knitting. Until now, everytime I have negative thinking and overthinking about something that makes me worries, searching pattern, diving to my yarn stash is always a good distraction
I love both knitting and crocheting. Am better at knitting. Aside from playing with colors and the feel of the yarns (so soft) I enjoy making things with my hands and gifting them to people I love.
Hi Chandi, I love the excitement when I start a new project and don’t quite know how it will turn out and what creative ideas there will be along the way. I love the feel of the yarn and the texture of the finished work. Also it is so heartwarming to see the joy in peoples eyes when they receive a handcraftet gift made specifically for them.
Have a nice day 🙂
Knitting is such a wonderful relaxing hobby. I love the yarn, the people, the shops, the retreats, I think I love everything about knitting. I am always amazed by the magic of the fabric that grows appears before my eyes as I knit.
These gorgeous photos will make everyone anxious to knit (or crochet). I’ve been ill and I ‘eyeball’ consumed each photo!!
I guess it’s the genuine wonder and excitement in learning how to create fabrics with your hands. I’m still in the beginning phases of relearning how to knit so right now I mainly crochet. I love how peaceful it can be, especially if it’s a repetitive pattern along with chill music playing in the background; you can get lost in a world of yarn goodness!! When the project you’re working in is finally finished, weaved in ends and all, you get a feeling of accomplishment followed by what to work on next. It’s amazing!!
Using either medium, just watching the single strand join the project.
Thank you for the chance to win.
I love creating something new and I love learning about the beautiful yarns that are out there to help me create!! I also am thrilled to work on something special for someone special. I think of them while I stitch away and it’s always great to have them in my heart. They keep me creating too! Thank you for your blog. I am fairly new to it and I am so happy to see your new posts. xo
I love how portable knitting is (especially socks). I always have to have my hands busy. I can pick up and put it down anywhere.
Truly a gorgeous treasure trove of love and loveliness! What I love most about crochet is the little mistakes that I’m able to work around and through, and that the are an echo of life. Those moments are a reminder to me to love the imperfections within myself, and so crochet teaches me life lessons. ♥️
What I Love most about knitting or crocheting (depending on my mood / wip ) is how meditative it is. Thank you and the team for videos, patterns, giveaways, everything!
I am yarn addicted! Enjoy knitting a new project and seeing the end result. But usually have 3 projects on the go at the same time 😉 do enjoy the great comments I get on my knitting!
What I love most about knitting and crocheting is the ability to be creative and relaxed even on busy days. It is very easy to pick up my latest project, knit/crochet a few rows even if I am particularly busy or overwhelmed that day.
I love crocheting! I find it so relaxing and therapeutic. It’s also rewarding to see all the wonderful things you can make with a ball of yarn.
What I love most is how it relaxes me but also helps me focus on something or someone that I want to listen to.
I love being able to create beautiful items with gorgeous yarn – it ignites my creative streak and brings me so much of happiness and satisfaction.
I love the creation process. Watching the pattern and drape form and how the color of the yarn plays with it
I love that it quiets my mind and how the finished product helps me feel that I am accomplishing something in my hectic life.
I really like that I’m creating something & watching the progress of what I’m knitting or crocheting.
My favourite thing is that it relaxes me! 😍
I love crocheting things that I can use. Crochet allows me to get some me time and unwind. I’m a new knitter and I’m learning it too can be very relaxing.
I love the relaxation of crocheting process.
What I love about crocheting is the process. The yarn, the pattern and then what those 2 things produce along with me understanding what to do. Its amazing. I love it and I can enjoy it every day. Thank you for a wonderful giveaway.
What I love about knitting is the relaxation and creativity. I can’t resist a soft, sparkly yarn. I also get some pleasure from the comments about my finished items. I made a temperature scarf a few years ago and get a complement on it nearly every time I wear it. Thank you for your contribution to this art!
Texture, color, the soothing rhythm of following a pattern, the sense of accomplishment of completing your project…..
I love how relaxing crocheting is to me. But most of all I love passing on my knowledge of crocheting and yarn.
I love that with knitting and crochet you can make an entire garment out of a simple thread. stitch by stitch made with patience, love and care.
I live the relaxing efect of knitting.
I love crochet and knitting because I love to create things…I’ve always loved putting pieces together – assembling furniture, jigsaw puzzles, etc. – and I see yarn arts fitting right into that. For me crochet in particular is relaxing and therapeutic. It allows me to use my brain in a different way than I do for work or routine tasks. Last year was particular tough for me due to the death of my brother and mother; crochet was my outlet during this time. Somehow my creativity was on overdrive and crochet was how I got the grief out of me.
I love the repetitive movements in knitting, it gives my hands something to do, I feel like I need to be doing something while sitting down
Knitting is creation, a chance to say I made this!
I love watching a piece come together slowly, a nice symbol of the hard work that’s been put into it!
What’s not to love about knitting? It’s a craft that lets you express your creativity, make gifts for people, calm anxiety, learn new things…
I love making clothes and accessories that are unique and just as I want them
Knitting has been my distraction and stress relief, through challenges with my child’s mental health and the grief of losing my husband. Sometimes I need a pattern to focus on, and sometimes I need something that doesn’t require much concentration. There’s always a project that fits the bill!
I feel a calming down when I’m in a rhythm with a project. I also feel accomplished making something, beautiful hopefully, working with one’s hands just feels so right to me!
I love how the repetitive motion of knitting and crocheting can relax me. I call my yarn, needles, and hooks “my zen.”
I spin, knit, and crochet. I don’t really know what my favourite part of any of them is! I guess overall it’s the fact that I am creating something, but there are steps within each that I also love. There’s a satisfaction to sewing seams, watching a colour repeat change, seeing pooling emerge (yes I’m one who likes pooling, lol), and seeing how it all comes together in any project.
My favorite thing about yarn crafting is being able to take one very long string and turn it into something useful. It feel like magic every single time I finish a project.
I learned to both crochet & knit during the height of the pandemic. I still love to do both, knitting more so than crocheting these days, because they were the only things that helped me through my darkest days. They still help with my anxiety. Thanks for the chance to win your gorgeous yarn!
Just have taken up crocheting recently again at 63, and it makes me feel connected again to my mom and grandma, both gone. And it’s soothing in stressful times.
I mostly knit. and I love seeing how the yarn comes together. And the satisfaction of having a finished product I can use.
Just recently picked up crocheting again after many years. I just retired and need some kind of hobby, so I thought why not crochet again. I love the colors that you offer, you can not find these kinds of colors in a box store. Just absolutely beautiful.
Knitting is my inspiration during the good and bad time!
What I love about knitting is the process of creating and seeing something take shape.
I find crocheting to be a peaceful, soothing activity and I enjoy seeing my creations appear from a simple skein of yarn into something beautiful.
I love the joy it brings me to make something out of string and a hook or sticks. I am definitely a process crafter. I love watching the patterns unfold.
It’s relaxing and I enjoy seeing something created with something as simple as a ball of yarn.
I love the rhythm of knitting and crochet projects that are so much more than what crochet used to be.
I love both, but prefer crocheting, I like making gifts for others and I find the process very relaxing too ! WhenI have free time I like to look at different colored yarns and think about how I could mix them to get something pleasing to the eye.
With both knitting and crochet I think my favorite thing is noticing my progress. Not just having completed a project but my progress and growth as an artist and how much I’ve improved in my 16 months of learning. That is the other thing, learning, and more learning so I’m never getting bored of the same thing.
I enjoy the “me” time, and it’s fun to learn new patterns and watch how colors come together to make the finished piece.
It brings me peace and gives me a creative outlet.
Purple was my mom’s favorite color and she got me started in knitting. This color group would make something wonderful in her honor.
Knitting is therapeutic and I love seeing concrete progress for my time!
So I have been crocheting since I was 9 years old. 9 was the age that I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease and my Mom and Grandma taught me to crochet because it was something I could do to help pass time when I was home or in the hospital sick. Then fast forward to 1991. I was pregnant with my first child and I wanted to learn to knit to make a blanket for my baby, so I went to Walmart and got a “Teach yourself to knit” kit and I did just that. After my kids were born I went back to school to become the nurse I had dreamt to be since the age of 9 when I first got sick. I was blessed to do my dream job for 8 years but then my body could no long do that job I loved so much. That was back in 2009, when I wa instructed to go on disability to help my body get to a better place where I would no longer need surgery t least once every year. If I didn’t make that change my body may have been forced to give out. I then needed to find something else that could refill the places in my heart and soul that were filled by being a nurse and crocheting and knitting have one that perfectly. One of the main things about knitting and crocheting that I love the most I that with every piece I make no matter how big or small I make has pieces of me that go with, but they also keep my heart and soul fulfilled a well. I also love that knitting and crocheting also allow me to show my family, friends, and loved ones how precious they ar to me and allow me to have endless things I can make for my Gandkids. I also love that knitting and crocheting also challenge my brain every time I take on something me and I loved the challenge and so do my heart and soul.
I like to knit and crochet to calm my mind and create things to give to others like my family and friends.
My mom had me take knitters lessons to learn patience 🤪 it’s definitely therapeutic and satisfying seeing a finished project. Since using your yarns 🤩 I’m loving it all the more. And, thanks for the Friday freebie patterns and you’re always encouraging words. Your a blessing!
I love how relaxing crocheting is for me and to be able to create blankets for my grandkids and costume dresses for my youngest granddaughter.
I love watching my projects take shape.
When I’m making a project it’s usually a gift. The person I’m creating this gift for is with me in my thoughts, my heart. This makes me happy…
I’m always amazed that the same elements-sticks and string-can create such a variety of gorgeous things
I love seeing what the yarn I’m working with looks like as the project grows
I’ve been in a knitting funk lately, but I generally find it very cathartic and I love it if I have a group to knit with. There are none where I live which makes me miss my old knitting group all the more.
I love the sense of calm when doing repetitive knitting.
I love nothing more than plop on the couch and crochet for hours. It makes me happy and relaxed. Just made my first wearable – a sweater. Never mind that it’s too big, it is so cool.
I love that knitting/fiber arts is a bottomless treasure chest. There will ALWAYS be new things to learn!
I love turning a strand of yarn into something magical!
I love the entire process of knitting, from picking a project and doing all of the calculations for the pattern, ordering the yarn, knitting and handling the yarn, and then wearing the final product.
