I love a new cowl for the start of each New Year1
My hands are always working! Love creating and though my favourite has always been lace in the thinnest of yarn or thread, I love making everything from coasters to blankets and sweaters and shawls to tablecloths and dollies
I just found your you tube site and in love with your work and web site. I even told a total stranger in Hobby lobby aobut your site saturday. I have signed up for every thind and am waiting for my first shipment of your beautiful yarn. I do have a question about how you finish your pieces. I would love to see your blocking method. So excited to find you!
Hi Kimmy, welcome! Glad you found us. We have a tutorial on blocking, I’m attaching the link below:
https://youtu.be/kswT-Dxaq8o
Also, please ask away whenever you have questions. We’re here to help! Have a lovely day. 💕
I don’t have a favorite yet. I’m just stretching my wings & learning to fly in this bigger than I imagined world of yarn.
Excited about the giveaway. My favorite project would be afghans and cardigan dusters and vests.
I really like the idea of making something new for the start of the year.
I do like mindless repetitive projects you can relax to with whilst watching tv
I’m new to knitting but it’s always been a goal of mine to knit myself a sweater 🙂 for now though I’m still working on small swatches
I love working on scarves- cowls, triangle, (any type really) and sweaters. I’ve made quite a few baby hats and blankets for family as well. All of your yarn is absolutely beautiful!!
I seem to work on all types blankets lately.
A favorite item to knit for me is a shawl with your beautiful yarn.
I make all sorts of things. I design a little and do a lot of test knits as well. I have 2 designs to write up the final pattern from my notes now, but I’m trying to finish a commission first. They would both be beautiful worked up in your yarns. If I am fortunate enough to win, I would definitely use the yarn in my designs.
My favorite type of project to work on is probably shawls.
Hi Chandi, I just love your happy personality. I am knitting beanies at the moment for gifts. Thank you for sharing yourself and creativity!!
I just found your site looking up GSR on YouTube. Your small sample is just what I need to try! Been knitting for over 50 years and don’t know the German Short rows🙄. I’m obsessed with everything yarn and fiber related. Spinner, dyer, knit, crochet, weave. I’m starting to hide my hoard now! Just ordered the 30 cubby shelf to house all my yarn stash alone. Your giveaway yarn looks so so lovely! And the patterns. Woohoo! 🥰 How wonderful to find another ‘yarner’ and site. Thanks for posting the video of the short rows. I tend to over complicate all the directions! Yours was so straightforward. That is a blessing!
I’m so glad you found us and that our tutorial on German Short Rows helped! You’re most welcome and good luck. 🤞
Love working up your shawls!
I like to knit sweaters. I just need to pick up my speed so I can make more than one a year.
I love working on lacy things! Small yarn and openwork are my jam.
That’s probably my favorite kind of projects now. I dread the time I can no longer see to do the fine work.
Socks, socks and more socks.
I am a fairly new knitter so I am still figuring out my favorite thing to knit, but so far I would have to say cardigans:)
Recently I’ve been loving and knitting all things baby, because my niece just had a beautiful little girl!
Rectangle shawls, although I never wear shawls!
Sweaters, but they never fit right.
It’s so hard to pick one! I like KAL’s, socks, cowls, sweaters…….. just most anything!
I love to crochet shawls that I can wrap into a scarf.
I love to make shawls. It is just the right size of project for me. Not as big as a blanket. I love trying different Yarns, patterns and seeing the texture and drape. Using a different sized hook can make all the difference too.
I love to crochet wraps and shawls too! Baby blankets too! The yarns are so inspiring and luxurious. Crocheting results in joy.
Simple tee tops are my fav!
I love knitting shawls and sweaters
I love knitting hats.
OMG this months yarns are gorgeous!! Especially love the browns, just love earthy colors…. My go-to is a shawl, I don’t even wear them but LOVE to make them, so I gift a lot
I love scarves and shawls, anything to keep me cozy!
I love all things crochet and especially love creating unique designs for afghans that I crochet as gifts for babies, a new home, wedding gifts…any special occasion for family and friends. I have always wanted to have a craft store or sell at a craft show. I dabble in many crafts and refurbishing or repurposing items.
I love to relax while knitting/crocheting afghans to keep my loved ones warm and wrapped in a handmade portable hug from me.
Primarily shawls. But I’m trying to knit more sweaters. The sleeves always get me though…
Fingers crossed for the giveaway this month! August is my birthday month =]
My favourites are sweaters. All kinds, all colours, all yarns!
i love, love, love crocheting shawls with your yarns! have a couple i’m working on now.
My favourite projects to work on are whatever catches my fancy at any particular time! Usually shawls, but I also love to make baby blankets when someone I know is expecting. I am currently working on a sweater and a vest, but those are special requests from my parents and not something I do often.
I love to work on anything crochet but am learning to knit (with your help – thanks so much!!!) so anything easy to knit is also my current favorite things to do!
I love making shawls, scarves, cowls, blankets, but I do go outside the box once in a while!
I love working on sweaters and shawls!
A clear written pattern sometimes repetitive and other times challenging. As long as in learning something new and fun.
I need to knit faster, I just love your yarn and the colors are to die for!
I don’t think I have a favourite thing or item to crochet. It varies from season to season and year to year. For the past few years I’ve been mostly handsewing quilt tops and now I’m back to crocheting snowflakes and preparing to wash, starch and block a load of doilies I crocheted while waiting in my therapist’s office back in 2018. I think what I love the most is finding a pattern or project that challenges me and my skills and helps me to expand my knowledge and abilities and helps me to grow as a crafter.
Sweaters are my favorite! It’s like making a hug! I have four sitting in my queue when I finish the Keziah I’m working on now.
I learned how to crochet first and really enjoy making sweaters/tops. I’m currently learning how to knit so I can make more beautiful sweaters 😍
OMG that green oasis fingering! Be still my beating heart!
I love to knit scarves for family and friends. Looking to try socks in the near future, but not sure when I can fit them in!
Miluji pletení a háčkování rukavic, šál, šatů, šátků, svetrů a ponč, tašek a kabelek, andělů.
Škoda, že v Praze, v Evropě se Vaše příze koupit nedají. Snad jednou…
I’d say it changes from year to year. This year it’s been baby blankets because… babies. Last year it was shawls because I’d never done one before. My next project will be something in brioche stitch!
Sweaters and cowls!
Ami , mostly, and hand dyed yarn make the perfect accent pieces like clothing, stripes etc for animals and dolls
I knit & crochet. I especially like making blankets; I am doing both your MCAL & MKAL this year. Also doing the summer CAL & KAL. August yarn selection looks so beautiful! Anyone would be very lucky to win these!
I enjoy knitting a garment with varied stitch patterns or with a variety of colors.
Cowls and shawls!
Hello everyone I love making blankets an shawls.
Right now working on a crochet baby blanket but anxious to try sweaters again! This yarn would allow this to happen!
I love to knit knockers! And for crochet, I love to make shawls.
So many favourite yarn bases. But the top of the list;
Alpaca Silk DK
Dewey DK
Enduring Worsted
Knit shawls are my favourite. Winter is on the way!
You are absolutely amazing!! I admire all that you are & do!!
& im so very grateful for your contribution to this world!
Thank you for being you!! You always brighten my days, & your yarn, just brings so much joy to my soul! 😁 🐙,now only if I had more appendages, so I could crochet more than one thing at a time, like an octopus!
Hi Chandi,
Just love your giveaway, your yarn colours are awesome. I Love to knit blankets, hats, and slippers, etc.. I have knitted a few sweaters but not recently. I also crochet a bit. I have crocheted a shawl, bathroom drapes (a long time ago). I am thinking of crocheting the Persephone Poncho it looked so beautiful on you! I just Love getting your news letters!
I like anything that pushes me to learn new atitches/patterns/technics.
I love crocheting shawls, scarves and cowls and wearables such as tees, sweaters, and cardigans, though I have never made any socks, mittens or hats…. yet. I’ve just learned how to Tunisian crochet, and next learning journey (probably not till next year) is going to be learning how to knit.
As the years go by, I think I prefer working on simpler projects like Blankets, Scarves and Shawls. I used to make more sweaters, amigurum, baby things and things like that,, but my hands are getting a wee bit tired.
Thus far, crocheting shawls: zakret (wip), cassia and vayda (will be using empheral fingering as it is reeally hot in my country. Hopefully, it will be back in stock). Best wishes Chandi and your talented EFA team. 😊🏝💃🧶👋
Pick a favorite project?!? I really like having multiple projects going so I’ve always got something to fit my mood (and available attention span!)! For these warmer months I’ve been drawn to shawls and socks, but in the fall and winter I like working on sweaters and blankets!
My favorite type of project to crochet is shawls or blankets.
I love making blankets, but I really want to make a sweater.
I would love to gift my mom a new shawl or sweater
My favorite projects to work on are those that I am making for my family and friends. These people are special to me and I show them by gifting beautiful handmade pieces of art.
I love knitting or crocheting blankets!!!
I love to crochet Tanks/Tees for the summer and sweaters and cardigans for winter. In autumn and spring I love to crochet shawls and scarfs.
Hi lovely Chandi, I love knitting and crocheting shawls and blankets for loved ones.
Hats! My husband told me to stop because he only has one head, but my good friend and her family of 6 said they’ll take all the hats I send their way. 😃
I love doing shawls, but all the other things one can make are also very welcome. A special thing about each project is yarn, it has so much to do with loving the whole process, sometimes I think I’m knitting and crocheting because of endless variations and possibilities of the yarn, sounds silly a bit 🙃
I enjoy working on blankets.
I enjoy making shawls and tops but, to be honest, if I am ever blessed enough to win one of your amazing giveaways I think I’ll just lie on the bed and surround myself with all that beautiful marvelous gorgeous yarn!!
I love making shawls no matter what shape they are. I’ve used several of your patterns to crochet shawls for loved ones and they’re always so well received. There’s something so satisfying in listing the ingredients in the yarn I used (from your site!), the pattern and watching the recipient glow when they realize someone loved them enough to make something timeless for them out of good materials.
Sweaters, hats, scarves, cowls, fingerless gloves, mittens, shawls, afghans, I’ve done them all. I knit and crochet. Crocheting is faster so ….
Sweaters, hats, scarves, cowls, fingerless gloves, mittens, shawls, afghans, I’ve done them all. I knit and crochet. Crocheting is faster so ….
I love to wear any type of big shawl, so I love to knit them. I am always planning to crochet one, but then I end up knitting it 😀 My favorite one is definitely Crystal Roads and it is in my queue of projects I would love to make. But I love to knit and crochet anything to wear. Never made any blanket or pillow cover yet, but that will come one day too. And hope to be brave one day to knit socks.
I’m in a mosaic move at the moment, but I do love making shawls and wraps (which usually require less intense focus), but I can’t possibly wear all of them, lol!
I love making shawls!
I’ve recently been involved w/ moving & @ 73 it’s not an easy task but the throw i am working on plus the year long Hearthside CAL is keeping me sane……these colours would really help to complete/compliment the CAL as I’ve worked it to date.
Miluji pletení a háčkování rukavic, šál, šatů i šátků. A taky svetrů, ponč, kabátků, kabelek, tašek a andělů.
Škoda, že Vaše příze v Praze v Evropě nejsou k mání.
Snad jednou….
I love knitting tops and sweaters… who am I kidding I love knitting ANYTHING!!
Socks! Must always have a pair on the go!
Socks – must always have a pair on the go!
elaborate and intricate shawls
I reall love your shawl patterns, so a shawl, i would say
I love making afghans. But lately I’ve been making clothing, hats, jackets, slippers. Some knitted but most crocheted. I’m hoping to try a knitted afghan after I finish my current knit project.
I like knitting shawls or dresses 🙂
I used to knit for over 40 years, just recently startend crocheting. Why? You have so many beautiful crocheting patterns for shawls.
I love to crochet shawls and sweaters
Beautiful yarn!!! Recently I’m obsessed with socks.
I tend to gravitate to scarves, shawls, and hats, but will make an occasional pair of socks or blanket.
I love to work on shawls ( both knit and crochet) and socks more than anything else. Your yarn is gorgeous!!
I love colour work sweaters/garments: fingerless mitts fun gnomes. cowls, blankets and just being creative. 😍🧶
Thanks for another giveaway! The colours are gorgeous! My favourite project to work on changes depending on my mood but without a doubt I always have a pair of socks, a sweater and a shawl cast on so I can switch between them as my mood changes 🙂
Glorious colours and delectable yarn 🧶. I find yarn expresses the desire to be a certain garment or other project so I choose the project to meet that. Thank you for the opportunity to give this generous gift a new home 🏡.
Hi Chandi, hope all is well over your side!
My fave ‘project’ would have to be anything for the Grandie with a smattering of makes for my 3. Definitely into the mummy and me makes but that can be for example, a hooded cloak for the Grandie and a matching yarn beanie for mum.
I guess that puts me into more of the small makes bracket for now…. we know the speed at which babies grow so the small makes won’t last for long. 😅
Thanks for yet another chance to get to work with your beauties.
My favourite type of project is anything that uses a hook! I love working with fine yarns but I venture into bulky yarn. I’ve worked with everything from embroidery thread to rope. So this adds up to amigurumi, wearables, accessories, blankets, floor rugs, doilies, mandalas, baskets, you name it, though I draw the line at cars. If it’s textured, or colourful, I’ve probably fallen in love with it.
My favorite is probably lace, but the fact that I am creating something beautiful is the main reason needlework is a lifeline for me, and I always have at least one crochet and one knit WIP.
I love to knit shawls and blankets
Lovely colours 😍. Like stepping out of Summer into Fall…. Would make a stunning shawl!
New to sweaters but I am really enjoying them!
Hi, I’m Becky. I adore knitting shawls, and socks as my main projects. Someone once told me that I’d made enough socks to start my own country. Not quite, but close. Knitting keeps me sane.
I just love shawls. But I keep meaning to give socks a try. I also enjoy knitting jumpers with interesting stitches.
Lately, I’ve been knitting a lot of tops and sweaters. But I don’t really think I have a favourite kind of project. I love knitting anything, from hats to blankets… 😍😍😍
Thank you so much for another amazing giveaway!! 💗 It would be an incredible birthday present! 😉😆😍
It is always such a pleasure to receive updates from you and look at all these beautiful yarns and project! They really brighten up my day and colour my life. Though I’m based out of APAC so it’s not as accessible for me. That mentioned, I love to do shawls, blankets (for volunteer), seat cushions and always on a hunt for a light design that works well for people in tropical countries like myself 😀
Thank you Chandi and crew! You have such beautiful yarns. Love you video’s too!
I don’t have a favorite, I have lots! I like to have a garment, a shawl, a chunky blanket and socks all on the go so I can knit on whatever makes me happiest in the moment. Thank you for such lovely yarn to work with.
Shawls, scarfs, cardigans and jerseys for myself and my children! Love your positive self and how beautiful soul you are!
I love knitting or crocheting with any of your yarns that incorporate silk. I love the colours you are producing. Sweaters cardigans and shawls all amongst my favorites.. love you from Australia.
Gee whiz, thanx Chandi
Hard question! sometimes hats are my fave, sometimes socks, but i would like to do a not to difficult pretty sweater with colorwork.
Your lovely yarns are so inspirational!
I love to knit most things, it is knitting after all. Currently knitting socks, shawls and a blanket with a jumper waiting in the wings.
I love to knit are shawls and baby clothes for in between projects. I love your patterns and have just finished a variation of Crystal Roads.
My favourites are shawls. Aways. On any occasion and reason, cotton and wool, the bigger the better 🙂
I love knitting shawls (am using my special birthday yarn from my son to knit the Textured Laguna Wrap), cowls, socks, and am trying to get the courage up to venture into sweaters. I love knitting lace, but really I love about anything I’ve learned so far that has to do with knitting. What I don’t know yet, I still want to learn – not enough time for all the things I want to knit ha!!
I love making amigurumi! They’re so cute and joyful and make wonderful gifts 🙂 Second to that, I love hats and I sure do have a lot of them haha
I find a lot of inspiration in Chandi’s writing and enjoy her patterns. I knit. And crochet when necessary.. Hats, mittens, blankets, shawls, fair isle sweaters, bag, socks, scarves, pillows. Mostly as gifts for others. I used Chandi’s videos to learn how to knit continental in 2020. Prior to that, I held the yarn in my right hand. I do a combination of both now depending on the stitches. I love being able to knit faster; I just wish i could knit continental without looking at my hands.
Hey je participe
I love shawls but rarely have time to focus on such a large project. I tend to make smaller things, often for other people. Fingerless mitts, wrist warmers, and beanies tend to be my go to projects. I’m always on the lookout for interesting scarf patterns.
My favorite item to crochet shawls in many shapes😁, Also I like amigurumi😍
Crocheting with these yarns brings joy, love and makes every little thing to something special. I sent a shawle to my best friend, which is on the other side of the world, made of yarn from expression fiber arts and told her, when ever you need a hug or just a bit of cozy and warming feelings, take the shawl and I am with you.
This are special moment and therefor I love using special materials like your yarns!
Thank you
I so look forward to each and every email from you, they truly brighten my days and they are all saved.
I am on a shawl-knitting kick right now and getting back to sock knitting; my first knitting love. Last year I made 56 pair which were gifted.
Knitting and weaving has become my crafts of choice. Your yarns are truly wonderful to work with. I enjoy knitting shawls and blankets. One day will be adventurous and try a sweater.
I enjoy knitting lacey shawls. I have to use lots of stitch markers so that I can easily correct any mistakes along a row – I do get a bit fed up with counting stitches between the markers though! Your yarn is beautiful.
I love it all
Sometimes I am in it just for the yarn. I see it, I feel it and I MUST buy it, because it looks and feels so good. It might never be turned into something knitted or crocheted. Just cherished and touched and looked at from time to time.
Inspiration comes from people and things I see in my everyday life. I crochet and knit a lot. Babyblankets, socks, hats, shawls, cardigans.
I love knitting socks. I also enjoy crocheting character hats. I make hats for the grandchildren.
The only projects I’ve finished seem to be blankets, but I love working on sweaters and shawls.
Lately I ‘ve been making Japanese knot bags for Christmas gifts! A fun project.
I’m all about bags at the moment. I love doing combination knit, crochet and macrame on the same item. Custom made handbags are simply divine
Socks if I’m knitting and granny square blankets if I’m crocheting. I don’t wear shawls and get a little frustrated that so many patterns are for shawls!
I love knitting the patterns you give us on Fridays. I have made many things from them. Right now I’m making Balance Point.
This summer I am really into knitting and crocheting bags! And may I say your colors just blow me away.
I’m trying to pull myself out of a long depression and your patterns & yarns are helping do just that! Color therapy for me lifts my spirits! Shawls and big sweaters are WIP. Thank you 💜
I’m enjoying having multiple projects on the go recently. I’ve been focusing on knitting a sweater and a shawl, but also have several crochet blankets calling my name.
Hi Chandi,
I’m still working on the Sakura Hues and LOVE IT! My sweater is almost knitted, then onto wet blocking soon. I hope to have it completed by the time I’m ready to drive to Atlantic Canada later this month.
Sweaters, sweaters, sweaters 😁
Socks and shawls for the most part….then change it up to a cowl! There is always something on my needles daily as the challenges are fulfilling as well as rewarding!
I love shawls. I may be old fashioned, but I use my shawls because I am always cold. Air conditioning will crawl up my neck and make my teeth chatter, so a shawl is a necessity, even in this heat.
Lately, I’ve been drawn to shawls, cowls, and socks. Thanks for another chance to win some beautiful yarn!
I love knitting socks .. they are quick ( 5 to 10 days depending on pattern and other life requirements ) and my feet love the warmth!!
I like to work on anything that has some changes to it. Keeps me on my toes.
I like to knit socks, shawls, and gnomes and enjoy making items to give away as gifts.
I’m all over the place with projects I love to make sweaters and shawls, but do occasional afghans. But my favorite is Fair Isle knitting especially hats to watch the pattern evolve never ceases to amaze me. I’m new to your website, but hardly new to knitting as my mother taught me to knit when I was about 4 and I was knitting projects as early as 6 or 7, so as of yesterday’s birthday I’ve been knitting close to 70 years. I love to knit and gift most projects either to an individual or to a group for .charity. Love your patterns.
I love to crochet shawls, blankets and baby cloths. I’ve bought quite a bit of your luster yarn and omgee it’s amazing to work with!!!! Thank you so very much for everything you do and being so inspiring!!!!
I just loooveee shawls!
One of my favorite things to make is a beautiful shawl. I recently finished a Jane Vanselous shawl test crochet for a pattern for EFA and I love how it came out.
knitting knitting knitting- it’s the best therapy I know. I love shawls, light airy shirts, and chunky sweaters. Going to make my purchase for Shifting Sands this week <3
I’ve been teaching myself to knit socks! I just finished my first single sock and working on the pair, so it is still very new and exciting! I love crocheting anything. I have not bought any of expression fiber arts yarn yet, but look forward to doing so soon. I love some of the patterns I have found on this website!
I don’t really have a favorite project. Recently I’ve been testing a number of summery top patterns, but e joy a variety of projects.
My favourite projects to work on are crocheted blankes – can’t seem to resist them – and knitted socks.
I’d love to actually finish a sweater, getting there. Hats, cowls, mittens and a rare shawl. I enjoy test knitting
I like to work on things that make up quickly, like scarves and blankets. It’s also a good way to learn new stitches without having to think about shaping or sewing, and it’s fabulous for trying new yarn weights and colours!
I love looking at all the beautiful yarn, and the patterns are just perfectly beautiful. I read patterns like most read a book. I just started knitting this year, I’ve crocheted since I was five. We lived with my granny, she sat me in a corner handed me a ball of thread and a #5 steel hook and said I could get up when I had crocheted a mile of chain.needless o say I didn’t get up. Love looking at all of your beautiful yarn.
I pretty much love knitting ANYTHING! I always have a few projects on the go and I simply must knit everyday!
Knit baby sweaters, crochet shawls – embracing finer yarn, and definitely better quality!
I love kniitting scarves, but after I completed my first ever cardigan (storyteller), I would have to say I love knitting that as well. I’m really looking forward to starting another sweater (kongisee), I just need to get the yarn for it. I also want to try knitting socks, but haven’t been brave enough to try them.
I like working on blankets, shawls, wraps, and hats.
Hy Chandi,
I love to knit scarves and shawls. These fall colors are perfect for that.
I love to knit sweaters and shawls. It does not matter, any kind of weather, i will be knitting every day since a year or two. I adore the way wool feels in my hands as it slides through my fingers.
This month’s give-away looks (again) brilliant!
Love to crochet mandala pattern blankets, knit hats ,loom knit hats ,knit shawls ,scoping out baby panama hat patterns right now . LOVE yarn in my hands and watching a plan come together🤭
Oh, these are my colors! I don’t know that I have a favorite type of project to knit. I just finished a ruana and I’m writing up a pattern for another one. I have 2 shawls I’m currently working on but that’s because I tend to have a quick project and a more complicated one to alternate between. And I’m starting to make more sweaters and socks.
I would love to knit a sweater that actually fits me! So unusually knit shawls…
Bonjour présentent je travaille sur deux projets un châle au crochet et un au tricot les deux sont de votre collection (ruana 4row gradient et sugarblush shawl )
Hats!!!! or anything that will bring a smile to the families we donate garments to!
I am currently obsessed with knitting sweaters, but I also enjoy shawls, cowls, and socks. I love learning new techniques. Knitting is a tactile pleasure as well as my stress relief. If a yarn doesn’t feel good in my hands, I will not enjoy knitting it. I know how to crochet, but have not used that skill in a long time.
Shawls. I have been doing mosaics lately.
It’s cliche, but I love working on gifts. I’m disabled and can’t get out as often as I’d like, and crocheting gifts for my friends helps me to feel close to them. From choosing patterns I think they’d like to the yarns to the workup 🥰🥰🥰 For myself, I love to wear layers and hate restrictive clothes, so wraps, ponchos, capes, coverlets, open cardis etc are my favorite.
I love to knit seamless pullovers!
Shawls and Cowls. Cowls are generally small projects that fit with other demands on my time and then I will have a shawl in the works at the same time.
My favorite type of project to work on is typically whatever my next project is. I’m a planner so I tend to know what I want to make next all the time and get excited about and look forward to that so much, whatever it is. Right now that’s the Maglia Marzapane sweater. But it could be anything from a sweater to blanket to baby item to dress up wig for my kids to winter accessories etc.
I like to knit scarves, hats, scrubbies for washing dishes and washcloths and I want to learn how to make socks. Socks keep the feet warm.
My favorite type of project to work on is crochet amigurumi, usually in the form of Christmas toys/decorations. This year I’m attempting my first ever crochet shawl as a Christmas gift. It’s turning out so beautiful! I also love to knit socks, usually in lace or fair isle.
My favorite things to knit right now are sweaters and socks!
My favorites are blankets – in every sizes and colors
The bigger the better 😁
And I like cowls and shawls – easy things to work on after a long day of work
I love to knit shawls and hats, they make great gifts. I am looking forward to doing my first sweater this year! I am currently working on the Wandering shawl for my niece to gift her as she starts college this fall.
I love making wraps and shawls, but my favorite part is playing with different yarns!
I’m most often drawn to wraps, particularly big ones with a good drape and a little lace. Really enjoying the side to side construction of them after so many top down triangular shawls.
I love to knit socks and scarves. Currently, I am working on a pillow for Christmas.
I love to crochet scarves and throws with lots of different stitches that create dimension.
I prefer to knit shawls, but recently finished my first sweater in years, with several more in my queue!
Afghans and sweaters
Chandi,
Still consider myself a bit of a beginner at knitting. I’ve enjoyed knitting a few basic items, a sleeveless summer shell, and a fall sweater. I always knit my swatch and as a result I have been satisfied my finished projects. However, I need more practice working sleeves into the body of the sweater without puckers on the shoulders…….I am a tight knitter. Looking forward to getting this process nailed on my next project.
Thanks for the opportunity to win some luscious fiber.
Terry
Yes, the more you practice the better it’ll get! 😊 Good luck with your next project.
I’m terrible at seaming, so anything I don’t have to sew together is my fave.
Such fabulous colors….
Anything for a loved one. I really enjoy C2C.
I like knitting shawls and anything for babies! I have done a few sweaters and would like to increase my skill there.
I am currently working on several sweaters. Some are new projects, some are UFOs that just need to be finished so I can wear them this fall.
my favorite projects are scarves, cowls, and neck warmers
with matching hats if I have enough yarn!
I love to knit shawls that change in color and stitch. The variation, especially in color keep me guessing.
Crocheted shawls, scarves, and socks are my favorite projects lately!
i have 4 blankets, a scarf, a wrap and a shrug all in progress. 😁
The colors are absolutely beautiful! Such a colorful giveaway.
I really enjoy crocheting blankets.
Thank you so much for this giveaway.
I love knitting shawls and socks.
Ahhh… As always, Beautiful colors!
I see a cowl or two, large shawl/wrap… yummy, soft things !! I’m anxiously waiting for cooler temps, a sweater, perhaps…just because!
I’ve just finished knitting my first pair of socks and immediately started a new pair, so right now that’s my favorite.
While on vacation, I decided to knit some cotton hand towels as gifts. They were easy to do and I needed minimal supplies so a win-win for traveling.
The colors in this month’s giveaway are beautiful! I’m currently obsessed with baby gifts:. blankets, hats and booties. Thank you for your generosity. Be well and be safe! 🥰😷
I enjoy working on rectangular shawls … especially something light and lacy that can be worn here in South Florida.
I love to crochet anything and love to try new and different projects. I intend to learn to knit, with your help, and would also like to try Tunisian crochet.
I don’t think I really have a favorite. I like making things for other people, so it depends on what they are interested in.
I love to work on baby clothes because they work up more quickly which means I’m more likely to finish them!
First of all, I love your yarn. I like to knit blankets for my nephews, shawls for me and beanies because the are fast to make. Haha
Prayer shawls – I like experimenting with new patterns and color combinations!
Another gorgeous selection, Chandi! Thank you for the opportunity to win this gorgeousness to make more scarves, shawls and afghans!
I love making scarves, shawls and ponchos.
Hard to pick a favorite! I have been doing colorwork and really love it. But I also enjoy knitting lace patterns, shawls, sweaters, etc. Your yarn colors are absolutely beautiful.
I like knitting hats, socks & mittens!
My knitting basket usually consists of the following mix:
One long term pattern that is fairly simple that I use for a break and one that can be finished sooner and is more complex. I like to push my knitting skills but then I like having one that is relaxing.
I love making shawls
I have been doing lots of tops lately. I love making something that fits me perfectly.
Also, I make tons of toys.
Congratulations to Carol 😁. Lucky lady.
Such a stunning giveaway, as always.
My favourite items are shawls and wraps. I’ve done a lot of gifting of them these past couple of years. Knitting has given me comfort, joy and sanity!! Done myself a few summer tops too.
I’m like a magpie, so many patterns that I want to try, but I am very strict with myself – only ever have one project on the go at a time 😁
Shawls and scarves are my favorite items to crochet. But I also do ponchos, ruanas,, and blankets!
I love fast projects like hats, but I really need more socks.
I love knitting and crochet anything lacy or with lots of intricate cables.
I like working on new things. Projects that fit comfortably within my knowledge are nice and relaxing but I love working on projects that expand my knowledge and experience.
I have no particular favorite thing to knit – atm, I have a shawl, a blanket and a pair of socks going. I most enjoy something when I’m working on a new technique or a garment I’ve dreamed up myself.
This is the most beautiful yarn I have ever seen. I made a shawl with some and it is soft and lovely. The patterns are my favorites and I love to absorb the love from Chandi as she writes her emails to us. She certainly is a special blessing each day!
I love crocheting cardigans, but the amazing quality of your yarn is also inspiring me to learn to knit scarves/wraps. Maybe I’ll work up to socks. 🙂
Lately sweaters are my favorite project to work on. If not sweaters, I do still enjoy knitting socks, cowls, and shawls. Give me two pointy sticks and some yarn and I’m happy.
Hi Chandi !!!
Merci, pour ces beaux concours !!
Vos fils sont incroyable et les couleurs font rêver !!
Thank you, for these beautiful contests !
Your wool are incredible and the colors are dreamy !
Your stunningly beautiful & fun yarns & patterns (with tutorials!) keep me happily knitting (& learning!) away! Your newsletters are filled with incredible joy & positivity not to mention the great deals. ( I also need to give a shout-out to your fantastic customer service too btw). My go-to for all things knitting – thank you!!
I am in the middle of baby season – friends all having kiddos! – so it’s baby hats and booties and blankets for me at the moment! But I’m usually found working slowly on a sweater or other garment.
Love your yarns and colors. Right now I’m knitting a scarf.
Love doing cowls! They’re fast and a great accessory!
The colors this month are gorgeous!! My favorite types of projects are ones that I can complete! Hah! I have about 5 of them going right now, from baby blankets to a cardigan, and a few more blankets in between. (I would classify myself as Obsessed Intermediate crocheter, and also Beginner knitter.) 😍 When I get tired or frustrated of one stitch over and over, I switch to another. I like variety. Also, I love to be able to complete one small project once in a while (like a coffee cozy or headband or something) so I can feel accomplished between big projects!
Thank you so much for the chance to win those gorrrrrgeous yarns! My favorite thing to knit is lace shawls. Happy knitting everyone!!
sweaters… I love sweater weather
I love to knit anything I can wear, especially sweaters and crochet shawls and throws.
Chandi, Your energy and gentle spirit is so invigorating every time I watch your videos and read your writings/musings. Love your enthusiasm! The color and textures of your yarns and patterns are so addicting. Each time that I pick up the yarn to hand wrap a ball or knit/crochet with it, it’s pure indulgence. If I had all the colors and skeins I’d want to start by piling it all around me and soak up this fiber heaven. Every project crafted with your yarn is my favorite from the first touch of the yarn to the last stitch. And then gifting the hand made item to my very special friends and family fills me with even greater joy. Thank you for your sunshine spirit and all that you do to inspire us all.
Love to crochet wraps and afghans. Working on my knitting and want to learn to make socks!
Thanks for the opportunity to win such a beautiful collection of yarns! I enjoy knitting socks and shawls, but right now I am on a quest to warm up as many heads in my community as I can this winter. So far there are over 100 cuddly hats finished!
I’m a blanket girl!
I love knitting socks but am currently trying my hand on sweaters.
I mostly knit shawls, bit have been on a hat kick for awhile. Which is silly, because I live in the south and don’t really have much need for hats.
I love working on knitted lace shawls, Christmas ornaments, and baby blankets 🙂
I’m an abysmally slow knitter Nand crocheted so I mostly make shawls, wraps and fingerless mitts.
I love crocheting amigurumi items but making baby blankets bring me so much joy.
I neither knit nor crochet, but my grandmother did both and was also a seamstress (she once made an outfit for Rita Hayworth and later the Princess of Spain). I miss her, and have a little ball of crocheting thread by my desk that she gave me along with a hook to learn with. I occasionally do a few simple rows, and think about what she would say or what advice she’d give me. Lately I’ve been wanting to go ahead, dive in, and crochet myself a robe or a flow-y long cardigan.
I’ll need to have a proper look at your blog to see what tutorials I can find…
Christina, you should. I think it’ll keep the memory of your grandmother even more alive and every single time you put on your finished project you’ll thing of her too.
I love knitting sweaters and hats. I’ve been enjoying learning new stitches on the Year Long KAL.
Hi! My favorite thing to knit is sweaters, sweaters, and more sweaters! Oh, and did I mention hats! Love to knit hats!
I seem to always be working on gifts! So rarely do I knit for myself. But I’m currently stocking up on the yarn for the mystery knit along to start that pattern as soon as I finish these stockings for a friend.. 🙂
I love making socks. I do them two at a time, on separate needles, so I don’t get second sock syndrome (or gauge issues!). I’m trying to learn to knit cardigans/tops so I can have a one and done type of project, too!
I love shawls and cowls. There my favorite to meditate and be mindful because you can get into a easy rythem
I love making baby sweaters with matching hats. I also enjoy making socks ,cowls, hats and shawls.
I like knitting shawls and cowls because it is easy to personalize them by taking the basic shapes and using your own stitch patterns and yarns.
I have been knitting a lot of socks lately.
My favorite projects to work on are shawls and wraps. I’ve recently started making more garments, and as my proficiency increases, I find I’m enjoying them more.
I love to make shawls and ponchos- big enough to be interesting, small enough to not get bored!
My favourite thing to knit or crochet is blankets, but with your yarn I prefer to make cowls, shawls and cardigans. I’ve got your Storyteller cardigan on my list for next winter.
As long as it’s knitting, I love to do it!
I love a simple cowl or scarf with gorgeous yarn. Good fun!
Shawls and socks are my favourite things to knit.
Easy stuff and want to learn socks.
I like to crochet sweaters and cardigans for my four girls .
I like working on shawls, scarves, and blankets but I love working on filet crochet blankets! I became interested in that type of crochet because of your video on the pattern Doradu! I love that pattern!
I love your yarn. My great grandmother taught me to crochet when I was ten. I love all lace shawls. My favorite yarn right now is the Emerald Swallowtail. I order 2 skeins but should have ordered more. Beautiful!
My favorite projects to work on right now are baby items! A lot of friends and family members are having babies (giving me baby fever) and they are all girls!
I love alternating shorter projects, socks or mittens/gloves, and longer ones like shawls.
I love to crochet baby blankets and a little something for myself now and then, like a cowl, scarf, or shawl.
I love to make hats, they are my go to.
Hello Chandi,
This month’s giveaway colors are gorgeous, as usual.
I tend to navigate to baby blankets. There seems to be a never ending stream of littles arriving. I love to knit a blanket almost as much as I like gifting it!
BUT, my fingers and heart are itching to try something for myself. I love your kits and love the colors you put together. I like to knit cowls and I think I am ready to try a shawl, rectangle maybe.
Thank you for your generosity. My little club of knitting friends love this giveaway and we hope one of us wins each month so we can spread the squishy goodness with each other!
Enjoy YOUR day friend!
Hi Nancy, that’s wonderful that your club would share if one of you wins! Good luck. 🤞
I love to work on blankets with many different stitches to keep me engaged!!
Anything cabled or intarsia for my boys!
I’m into knitting shawls right now to get ready for winter. I’m using your yarn, a purple silky lace weight that I just love!!! Thanks Chandi!!!
My favorite projects are socks. I always have to have a pair going and ready to take with me anywhere.
I’m working on tops lately, and love the drape of yours.
I love to do socks as they are a quick project, but try to do one sweater a year for myself ! This year I plan to do Sweetgum. I need to get started so I will have it for fall !
Love to crochet shawls and blankets. Just finishing up a crocheted poncho. Love it.
I love all of Chandi’s yarn. So beautiful!
I just received the Emerald Swallowtail and I love it. Can I order more?
A self design project of any kind
I really enjoy working on garments bc I love wearing them!
Hello Chandi! Lately I have been on a sock knitting escape! A gal can never have too many socks! I am also working on your “Textured Laguna”! I am really enjoying how it is knitting up and the pattern is very easy to follow. Happy Knitting!
I love knitting cowls and beanies for my loved ones and I’m learning to crochet so I can access even more patterns I love ❤️
As always a great selection of yarns and colors. Some really good ones for the coming fall season and just in time to make something for fall as well. I love to knit shawls, scarves, socks, hats… Actually just about anything. I also knit for charity and for cancer patients from time to time.
I actually just love to play with beautiful yarn. Knit swatches, see how different stitches look, use different size needles. I also enjoy seeing what happens when I combine yarn. The problem is I never take notes, so I never remember what went into any particular swatch!
I love making preemie and newborn hats! Such a quick project which allows me to try new yarns and new patterns
I love to knit and crochet lacy shawls, but also love beanies , cowls and mitts.
Shawls are my favorite things to knit.
I love a new shawl or a hooded cowl and fingerless gloves. I have lost count of how many pairs of gloves I’ve given as gifts. Everyone loves getting them. My favorite yarn is fingering and yours is so perfect. The colors are just gorgeous. I always look forward to your news letters to see what beautiful yarn or patterns have been created that I must try. Thank you for your generosity in offering some of your patterns to us as free, it is so very much appreciated. Looking forward to lots of new projects.
I love to knit shawls. My daughters call them “cuddlers”.
I am a hard core crocheter and I love these colors. Makes me think of the fruits of our work in our gardens in August and the upcoming Fall, my favorite time of year.
My favourite go to is to knit blankets and shawls.
Love to knit shawls and afghans, though I also make other things as well. Your yarn is perfect for beautiful, delicate shawls…
I love knitting, and crocheting, shawls – a girl can never have enough!!!
I love to knit up shawls especially with lace designs. They’re just so pretty and feminine, and a little bit of luxury to spoil yourself with!
These colors are GORGEOUS !!!
I don’t necessarily have a favorite item to make but I like projects that are a little monotonous. I use knitting and crochet to relax. I hate having to count too much.
I love to knit scarves, shawls and wraps. I gift most of them.
I enjoy knitting shawls. Would like to try knitting a sweater this fall. Love the fall colors chosen for the contest!
I like to knit sweaters, hats and miniature people / critters. Recently I’ve knit 20 plus mini flamingos in a multitude of colors.
I love knitting cowls for a quick, easy to handle summer knitting project, but my favorite knitting projects are top down pullover sweaters with or without stranded color work.
Gorgeous collections and giveaways ! I’m especially fond of the browns and golds and greens
Thank you for your guided spirit and being such a kind generous soul!!
Lately I’ve been working on tops and cardigans. I tend to stick in smaller projects so get that ‘finished’ feeling. Beautiful yarn!
I will crochet or knit anything and love to make my own patterns but truthfully blankets are my fav for winter as they keep me warm while im doing them i love the Friday patterns you share with us thanks so much
My favorite project to work on is the one that I made just yesterday. I crocheted and knit a sheep for my sister’s baby. She’s due next month!!
I have been making many shrugs this past winter and into the summer months ! I love learning new patterns and your tutorials are very easy to follow . Would be so grateful to win this gorgeous collection
I am enjoying making shawls for my friends and family.
Mine is socks, for sure.
My favourite projects to work on are sweaters and blankets!
I love to knit socks! They’re the perfect take-along-project, and I practically have socks on the needles all the time. They even go to church with me!
I love to knit tees , shawl and now I’m trying to knit a sweater. This month giveaway is amazing.
I usually have a sweater on the needles at home, and a small project for knitting on the bus — hats, cowls or crochet pot holders.
I’ve been enjoying knitting some shawls lately. I’m also getting ready for autumn and winter with a couple of hats!
I love shawls!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE your yarns, patterns and videos!! I love knitting shawls and scarves. I haven’t tried sweaters yet because I’m chicken. lol. I think you have the best yarn site on the Internet! I’ve looked at others when I’ve gotten ads but they just can’t compare! Thank you Chandi1
Socks, shawls, sweaters, really anything knit
I really enjoy making scarves and shawls
I love knitting so many things, but if I had to narrow it down, I would say socks are my favorite, followed closely by cowls.
My favorite thing to knit is shawls and shawlettes. I’ve also knit a lot of sweaters, socks, and hats. Lately I’ve been knitting toys. I’d love to knit a sweater and shawl or two with this lovely giveaway!
I loved knitting socks. I’ve recently started actually knitting sweaters for myself though and that’s been really exciting.
I love to knit shawls and cowls. Hats too. I love your yarn! It’s always so beautiful and tue colors are amazing
Items for others gives me the greatest pleasure. 🙂 right now I have hat/mitten sets for my husband’s grandnephews on my needles.
Sweaters and socks. You can just wear them so much it feels like you get to appreciate the project.
Hats are my favorite!
I think I like blankets most…because I can have the most creative license and not worry so much about gauge or being disappointed if it doesn’t fit right later. I would like shawls, but I have no where to wear them…I want items I can use and touch every day…Things I can display and create a feeling of warmth and beauty. Things I can change with the season…and that will make me smile when I see them.
I have always crocheted, I love making shawls and Afghans I’m trying to knit as well. I share my time. Crochet, knitting, quilt making and crafts.
I love making everything but right now hats are my favorite. A great way to learn different stitch patterns, play with color combinations, and use up some of my stash left from other projects.
I make lots of blankets. My newest favorite thing is mosaic crochet. It’s really awesome to see patterns come out in your work.
I love all these fantastic colors, just gorgeous!!!!! I knit lots of shawls and outer wear. Lots of your patterns Too!!!
Still learning to knit and getting the technique down. Would love to try a shawl. Your yarns are beautiful!
I love making socks! I would be THRILLED to win this gorgeous 🧶
I love crocheting baby blankets, shawls and scarves.
I love working on shawls and scarves, knit or crochet, in DK and fingering weight yarns in beautiful colors. I love triangles and offsets better than ones that a just square or rectangular – these are some of the things that make me love your patterns so much. Thank you for brightening my day with you happy, inclusive, spirited and spiritual outlook!
Such a fabulous giveaway! The yarns are gorgeous and there are so many. I’d love to make a jewel tone sweater with this yarn if I won it.
Crocheting fingerless gloves, though I have been making hooded scarves lately, and I love making them.
I love working on hats – knot and crochet. They work up so quickly, and it’s always a nice feeling to finish a project someone can then wear.
I like making shawls, but I’m really wanting to try more clothes (sweaters and tops). I’ve also been inspired by some of the ponchos I’ve been seeing lately. 😍 The hard part is, I also can’t stop doing Tunisian crochet! My struggle is to find patterns that are as wonderful as the patterns Chandi and her design team make. *sigh*
I love to knit or crochet shawls and all types of sweaters, mainly knit. Thank you for the wonderful patterns and tutorials. The colors in this give-away are amazing.
My favorite thing to knit is a sweater!
Dear Chandi,
Not only do you create the most beautiful yarns and designs, but you manage to inspire and lift my spirits with your words. Thank you and I wish you many blessings in your life.
I love crocheting blankets, scarves and shawls. I’m starting to make some duster / long vest / kimono type of garments as well. I also really want to learn how to knit.
Dear Chandi,
Not only do you create the most beautiful yarns, but you inspire and uplift me with your words. Thank you and May your life be filled with all God’s blessings and joys.
I like to work on shawls. Your yarn is so soft that everyone who wears one loves the feel!
I love to knit sweaterd, blankets and socks.
Top-Down pullover sweaters are my first love… 2nd is baby blankets/lap robes for busy-work and gift giving.
I love hats but never seem to find a pattern that when I knit it up, that I like on me … a couple I have seen that might work are way too expensive when they may well be duds in my book. granted the pattern has 8=10 or more colors making the materials list cost nearly $100 plus the cost of the pattern.. With the cost of yarns getting so expensive.. I may be giving up knitting when my yarn stash is empty. Maybe I should buy the pattern and use 1 or 2 colors making it a light & dark combo rather than multi-colored.
Your shawl and scarf offerings are beautiful.. but not my thing.. neither are socks (my feel prefer to be nude!)
Omg please please please PLEASE LET ME WIN THIS ONE! THOSE COLORS!!!
Hats, scarves, shawls
My favorite thing to knit or crochet ….that is very difficult to say, from blankets to shawls, baby and spa accessories and so much more..
You just can’t have too many beautiful shawls, IMHO. I love using luscious sock yarns to make lacy-looking shawls and EFA yarns are superb for doing just that. That’s my favorite thing to crochet.
I love to crochet shawls and then knit socks during meetings. Switching it up keeps the WIPs interesting! 🙂
Your yarns are gorgeous!! My favorite projects include baby/children’s sweaters, socks, scarves …. basically anything.. I just love to knit and I do crochet occasionally.
I enjoyed everyone’s comments. It’s fun to see what you all are working on. I mainly crochet blankets as gifts and recently finished a huge king size (yes, I crocheted a king size blanket 😁) that I’m going to enter in my local county fair. I also like to crochet wraps and shawls that I often wear. Planning on branching out to sweaters or cardigans soon. Like all of you I wish I had more hours to just crochet 😂😂
socks, socks, socks. but i want to move on to knitting sweaters, sweaters, sweaters!
I seem to have a love affair with blankets. They take so long though lol.
Sweaters are my favorite thing to make!
I used to be known as the sock queen at my LYS, but lately, I have been knitting a lot of summer sweaters also.
I like quick but exciting projects. My go-to is usually fun hats with texture or colorwork.
I don’t have a favorite thing to make, I just love to crochet. I have been making more shawls and blankets than anything else lately.
I think my favorites are blankets or tiny toys. Thank you for another wonderful and generous giveaway!
My favorite project is big, warm, squishy, knitted shawls that I can wrap myself in – I love knitting them and I love wearing them. I love the looks of multi-color shawls but prefer wearing single colored shawls.
I love making gifts for friends and family! I started knitting so I could continue a family tradition of knitting Christmas stockings for my children and now grandchildren. I also enjoy knitting prayer shawls for loved ones while they’re dealing with health issues. Looking forward to making your Montagne pattern next. Love your patterns and always enjoy looking at all your beautiful yarns!
My favourite projects right now are baby knits for a new granddaughter coming in October and sweaters for my daughters and granddaughters. I am knitting a baby blanket this time which is unusual for me. I normally crochet the baby ones. Hope everyone is having a wonderful summer!
I am relatively new to crochet. I have mastered all things flat! My goal is to try a simple sweater. I truly enjoy your tutorials!
The lush colors you produce are beautiful 😍
I love experimenting with colors!
My favorite part is finding the right yarn for my knitting project. There are so many Beautiful colors and Textures of yarn to choose from. Love knitting patterns that are always close to the skin.
Gorgeous yarns! I tend to work mostly on baby blankets although I love other types of projects when I have time.
I love to knit scarves, but I’m learning to knit socks and that’s fun also.
I am a fan of simple colorwork and things that I can work on without having to look at a pattern for every row. A pattern that is easily memorized and repetitive.
Hi Chandi, My favorite project to work on are shawls. I love seeing the patterns develop and watching my project grow.
Holy shmoly, that is the most amazing pile of gorgeous yarny goodness I think I have ever seen. wow! Just WOW! I enjoy knitting mainly wraps and shawls. Lately I seem to enjoy crocheting summer tops, shawls, cardigans, ponchos, blankets. But I also enjoy making hats and mittens with my single skeins!
Hats for chemo patirnts, hats for the homrless, and baby blankets!
My first love is knitting shawls They’re like passing on a hug when I give them away. In the fall I switch to hats and slippers for Christmas and charities. Then right back to shawls. This year I plan to also finally knit myself a sweater with the lovely peacock worsted
Scarves with matching hats are probably my favorite, mostly because they’re easy to work up and are a fantastic gift <3
Oh my gosh the colors this moth are gorgeous!
I love knitting shawls and socks, but I’ve made a couple of handbags lately and I want to make more!
I like smaller short term projects for knitting (because I am new and slower), but have made quite a variety of items crocheting. Most recently I crocheted a soft, cozy, light weight blanket for my favorite chair.
I generally enjoy small, portable projects such as scarves, cowls, hats, dish cloths, etc., that I can pick up and lay down easily. I also enjoy making shawls and afghans, especially during the colder months when I have more time indoors. I do need to start working on garments and learning new techniques.
Hi! I love tall types of projects! I am exploring and working through a variety of baby hats right now.
I love to make shawls and sweaters. More of a crochet-girl but knitting works to
I enjoy crocheting shawls and hats mostly, and started crocheting shirts and sweaters which are also fun. I also like crocheting swatches or dish clothes to try new stitch patterns.
I love to knit almost anything. I have currently on the needles: 2 sweaters, a blanket, a gnome, and a pair of mittens. Finished a shawl/scarf for a knitting retreat next month.
I’m a semi beginner but have so far knitted two baby blankets and now working on two of your shawl patterns. They are so inspiring. A lot of trial and error but I’ve discovered how determined I can be!
What stunning Colors!!!
I am on a sweater knitting binge at the moment and have at least two on the needles at any given time. Now is the time to ‘get going’ as fall and cooler weather is right around the corner and my project list will become more of a Christmas gifting theme. Thank you for the beautiful yarns and colors you create – SO much inspiration!
I love knitting and crocheting! They keep my brain active and fingers nimble since my strokes 10 years ago. Blankets, scarves, shawls and toys are a joy to create.
Love knitting… generally work n afghans, but enjoy knitting up a sweater in cables… dishcloths for take along when travelling. I like seeing and feeling the indie dyed yarns.. the variety is so diverse….I enjoy KAL with various knitting designers.
I’ve been doing a lot of shawls and wraps, but I’m really interested in learning how to knit socks…
I love to knit and crochet and play with fibers. I have been making more T’s and sweaters lately. I usually have a shawl along with a blanket in the works depending on my mood determines what I want to play with. Love your spirit and it shines through in the beautiful yarns that you and your team create….keep on shining!
I love to make blankets, although I get bored after a while, so I’ve got 5 going at the same time! Plus it’s too hot right now so I’ve started some squares to make a blanket once it’s cooler.
My favorite projects are small, easily “tote-able”, giftable, and completed quickly. Think socks, baby items, dishcloths, etc.
All that beautiful squishy!!! It’s hard to figure what to make.
I just finished the Pistachio Falls Crescent Shawl and it’s fabulous. I’m an adventurous beginner and this was the first project I completed using a written pattern only and I DID IT!!! Thank you Chandi
That’s awesome! Congrats, well done. 🥰
I love knitting shawls with lots of different stitches incorporated to challenge and improve my knitting skills. Your yarn looks so delicious and love your beautiful and imaginative colour blending. Sets my fingers tingling to start a new project. ❤️
Still learning to knit but I am a long-time crocheter. I guess my faourite thing to make depends on my mood. If I want mindless TV crocheting, blankets and shawls are usually good choices when they are two- or three-row repeats, but I love challenging projects with a variety of special stitches and/or cables, too.
I like scarves, shawls, blankets, and amigurumi
I love knitting shawls!
My favorite things to knit are socks and sweaters.
I like to crochet cozy wearable items-hats, socks, mittens, and I’ve recently finished my first sweater!
Small practical projects seem to win out; hats mittens and socks.
I love making socks best of all, but shawls are fun, too!
I like to knit just about anything. If a pattern strikes my fancy, I must then start it. Really need to finish my many WIPs.
I generally do shawls and accessories, but I love all sorts of projects.
I make Piuma fingerless mitts and the Wrought by Time hat the most. They are beautiful and quick patterns that I can finish in a few days. I return to these patterns again and again.
Lately I have been drawn to knitting shawls. Just completed a lovely Miss May shawl by Helen Stewart in the Magnolia Hues Sincere Sock kit and I love it!
I enjoy all different knitting projects. At this time I am working on 2 grandpa sweaters for my great grandsons,
as well as my MKAL blanket. I do like to have a few projects on the go at once, my problem is I find a new
pattern and have to start right away. I do love knitting and your yarn is so beautiful. Do any stores in Canada
sell your yarn, or even Washington State? Happy knitting
My fave knit project is a pullover sweater.
What a beautiful color selection! I love making shawls and sweaters.
I’m blessed to have so many people in my life expecting babies, so I feel like a baby blanket machine!
I like to knit just about anything. When I look at this pile of yummy yarn, I already see projects to knit! I love knitting socks for the cold winters here, then there’s a wrap with sleeves pattern that I have been eyeing in sport weight. A fingering weight sweater or cardigan comes to mind, too. The Moongleam will make a beautiful pair of fingerless gloves or a delicate scarf. The colors you’ve chosen are fabulous. They will be perfect for items that are already in my wardrobe.
Blankets! I’m addicted to starting them. 🙂
Beautiful yarn
I have mostly been doing hats this year but just started a shawl
I have been working on a lot of garments. Mostly pullover sweaters! Beautiful yarn as always!
Currently I love knitting garments, along with a pair of socks or a hat. Texture is where it’s at for me this summer. The yarn this month is mouth watering, someone is going to be very lucky!
In the summer I love to make washcloths. It’s so hot here in Phoenix, and washcloths are quick, satisfying projects that don’t heat me up while I’m making them!
I find Shawls & summer tees to be nice manageable projects. I really enjoy a relaxing repetitive pattern that doesn’t require lots of concentration. Makes great T.V. Knitting 🧶
graphghans
I go through phases. Sometimes it’s blankets, a while back it was socks, now it’s tops. Not sure what is next
I’ve been all about warm weather tops and short sleeve sweaters lately. My go to project is socks, but they’ve taken a back seat as of late.
I have been really into crocheting sweaters lately. I’m ready for autumn!
You are so sweet and inspiring, dear Chandi! You always make my day! I knit and crochet all kinds of things, from beanies to gloves, sweaters and scarves, shawls, even coats, since my teenage years! I always have something in hand to make, because I love this process!
I enjoy knitting scarves/shawls because they are quick to knit. My knitting speed is not great, but I have watched your speed knitting video, and I have improved a bit from where I started!
Thanks Chandi for a chance to win your gorgeous yarn! I always look forward to Fridays when you come out with a new pattern. These I would say are my favorite type of projects to work on. Currently I am working on Shifting Sands.
I used to knit until tremors prevented me from not dropping stitches. So for the past 4 or 5 years, I have been crocheting. I love all your patterns and use and reuse them all the time. The yarns are beyond words. They are very sensual when working with them. So easy to relax while working with them. Best of all is Chandi and her team. I look forward to my daily lift from her. Every book I am reading has one of her bookmarks in it. Thank you for sharing ytourself with us all.
My favorite thing to knit is sweaters. I love the jewel toned yarns! Thanks for the chance to win.
I just learned Mosaic Crochet and would love to do a southwestern design blanket!
I love crocheting beanies, hats, and shawls. I am learning to knit. Thank you for the monthly giveaways. They are all beautiful colors!
My last several projects have been shawls!
Socks, socks, socks, glorious socks
I love to knit socks and all their various heels!
Because of the heat, I don’t knit as much but I love to make items such as blankets, socks, etc. to gift to family and friends. I also enjoy knitting something that pushes me to learn a new knit skill. I think like a lot of others here I need to knit faster and have more time to do it.
Always beautiful yarns from you and your team, Chandi! I particularly enjoy knitting anything in lace work and colorwork. Over the past several years have gotten into overlay and embossed crochet…love the detail of the stitches.
Thank you for always having words of encouragement!
Love knitting shawls and summer tops!
Crocheting shawls just makes me happy every stitch of the way. Scarfs are a quick and easy “oops I forgot to get you a gift” fix for just about any situation, but I’m doing better at not forgetting so I havent actually made a new scarf in years. Blankets are meditative and my first choice for a good therapy project. Making jackets makes me feel like a real artisan crafter. I want to try pillows next.
These colors are so beautiful as all your yarns are and thank you for this contest. 😊💕. I am still new to knitting and crocheting. I would love to try knit and crochet for shawls from one of your beautiful patterns. 😊. Good luck everyone and enjoy your summer or fall. 😊
My favorite projects have enough repetition in them that I can memorize the pattern and pick it up to work on it whenever I get some time, but enough variety that it looks attractive and I don’t get bored. I enjoy knitting small projects like hats, socks, scarves most, but once or twice a year I like to pick a bigger project to work on – a shawl or sweater.
For me it’s a tie between a beautiful shawl and a cozy cowl. I love a soothing pattern repeat that will relax my mind and soul at the end of a long day.
I crochet, but I have just begun to learn to knit. I am actually learning to knit from your videos! You are an excellent teacher, and I am delighted to learn from you. Thank you!
Every month I hope it’s my turn to win the giveaway. The colors are beautiful and I love the yarn bases. Maybe this month I’ll win.
I love crocheting a variety of things. Presently I’m trying my hand at some garments and I love working on amigurumi!
I’m fairly new to crochet, so my favorite projects are still pretty basic. I did crochet an oval rug with t-shirts— loved working with the larger hook.
Awesome colors! I love to make shawls and scarves with them! 🙂
Shawls & wraps are my go to items 💕
I make a lot of amigurumi, but I am slowly starting to make sweaters, scarfs, and those things.
I love to knit and crochet. My favorite items to make are hats, scarves and baby items (booties, blankets, hats & sweaters.
I love to knit shawls, sweaters, socks, blankets, you name it. I don’t enjoy crochet much, but can do it in a pinch. But Tunisia crochet looks very interesting.
Just learned how to knit socks and I am absolutely in love!!!!
Beautiful yarn colors! I love to make dolls though I’m really getting into making shawls and scarves
Most of the projects I work on are shawls of some sort. I am always able to find the most beautiful and inspiring shawl projects on expression fiber arts and the yarns are absolutely amazing! I also enjoy working on throws and blankets. Thank you for such beautiful products.
I’m normally a knitter only, but lately I have been crocheting stroller/carseat-sized afghans for my soon-to-be-born grandson and a co-worker’s soon-to-be-born daughter.
Love knitting socks!from my handspun.. Your colors are so gorgeous — have you considered selling dyed fiber for spinners?
I love to knit for knitting’s sake! Just about any project I’m working on is a joy! Lately I’ve been working on a temperature blanket, a shawl, and socks.
I love to knit or crochet shawls or cloth, socks for my husband and me, sweet bookmarks, amigurumis or cute deko <3
Greetings from Germany 🙂
I love crocheting blankets and knitting cardigans. Thanks for this amazing giveaway!
I love knitting shawls.
I love knitting lace shawls with beads.
I love making shawls 🙂
I love making blankets, shawls and sweaters/cardigans….all in either knitting or crocheting. I started knitting when I was 3, almost 4 and made my first sweater for my baby doll when I was just 5…..I am 79 now. I have always loved knitting anything, but the last few years I have gravitated more to crochet….I was 21 when I taught myself to crochet. I, like you, love all things yarn!!!
I enjoy crocheting different things especially something I haven’t tried before. Lately it has been baby and toddler blankets, outfits, and stuffed animals for my grandchildren.
I like to knit hats, socks & mittens!🧶
I love knitting and crocheting afghans/blankets, and I LOVE knitting sweaters/shawls/hats/cowls…… The majority of things I have
made have been given as gifts, and I have forgotten what I have made since it is not here with me!!! Over the last 60 years a great
many things have been fashioned and given with love. So in essence, each stitch has been infused with love along with the great
pleasure it brings me in the process.
My favorite item to knit these past couple years has actually been blankets. It takes soo long but you can feel the love with every stitch and every snuggle.
I love crocheting blankets for my family and friends.
I love crocheting small projects such as scarves and wash cloths. However, I also like having at least one larger project in the works such as the bright, multi-colored afghan I have been working on for awhile. Learning how to knit socks is on my wish list. As always, thanks for such a beautiful giveaway!
I love to knit everything: preemie things for babies, shawls, cowls, fingerless mitts, socks, and an occasional vest or sweater. Never met a lace stitch I didn’t like. SABLE
I love being part of this community! Nice to read what others are up in there creative world. Thank you for all the positiviity.
I love to knit socks!
I’ve developed a real liking for making socks. Can’t wait for it to be winter again so I can wear them.
I like working on knitting project best. I don’t have a favorite type of item to knit. I do like knitting thing that I design myself best.
My favourite things to knit are shawls and sweaters are a very close second.
My favourite project is colourwork and if I had to choose a specific item it would have to be hats because they’re so portable, work up fairly quickly and you only have to do one of them (as in they aren’t a pair of socks or mittens).
I really enjoy knitting shawls.
Truly beautiful colors for the August giveaway. I have started making the Shala tee and it’s coming along beautifully. I am using yarn I already had which was made from recycled plastic bottles. I will send a photo when it’s finished. Thank you.
I love knitting for babies and I am blessed with coworkers who keep my needles clicking while I await grandchildren.
I really enjoy knittting baby sweaters. Fast, sweet, very satisfying.
I love working on shawls, cowls, and afghans.
I love knitting and crocheting shawls and cowls. Your Free Friday patterns are the best that I have found anywhere! I do try to keep challenging myself with patterns and stitches.
Prayer Shawls are my favorite to knit lately. The yarn for the giveaway is beautiful!
Blankets, and now I want to make shawls! I have several patterns but to match a yarn with the pattern is hard to decide!! Thanks Chandi, for sharing your ideas and you …
Hi, thanks again for a beautiful giveaway!! My favorite types of projects to work on are colorful, and stretch my skills with new stitches and/or technique, or combine them in new ways. I rarely make the same pattern twice, even if I totally love it!
I love doing mittens and socks.
I just love to knit! As long as I have something on my needles, multiple projects going most of the time, I’m a happy camper…especially when they involve EFA yarn!
My favorite projects have a bit of a challenge, that doesn’t take terribly long to do, since I get excited about something new quickly, along with an interesting pattern that is also easy to remember since I do forget what I just did :-p
Right now it is a Ukraine flag colored scarf that has a light lace portion. Which I will be sending the pattern out to all when it’s completed. It is very easy for knitting beginners. It can be made with any colors of course and can be as long or as short as you like. :o)
Shawls and sweaters are my favorite knitting projects. My newest challenge has been colorwork knitting.
I seem to gravitate to shawl patterns of all types. Tried socks once……made a sock….yes singular (lol).
I love blankets as my ‘no think’ decompress but also love having something a bit more connoisseur in the go to extend my crochet skills
While hats have been my go to project to sit down and crochet and chill, I have started to branch out attempting other wearables. My knitting is still not comfortable but that’s fine. I have more than a lifetime’s worth of stuff in my Ravelry queue. 😀
I don’t have a favourite type of project, as long as I’m knitting! Lately, I’ve been working on baby sweaters, hats and socks. I also knit baby blankets. Many friends and neighbours are having children and grandchildren and the sets are the perfect “Welcome to our World” gifts.
Lately, I have been knitting socks! But I always have a shawl on the needles!
Shawls and smaller blankets are my favorite, but I’m starting to enjoy sock knitting as well!
I used to knit so many shawls and socks, and while I still always have a sock project the shawls have transitioned into garments. That is also what I buy yarn for as well. :p
I like to crochet personlized blankets & baby sweaters.
I love your yarns and patterns. Cowls, scarves, and shawls are my favorite things to knit.
Hey there,
I’d have to say my favorite projects to work on right now are shawls with unusual design elements. They really stimulate my brain and make me feel so accomplished when I finish them. Some days I need that extra tricky element. As always love the work you do!
I love to knit or crochet sweaters!
I love working on blankets and holiday decor, but recently found my love of making shawls. Working on my first Prayer shawl and I have a feeling I will be making more!
I love crocheting blankets and am loving the EFA Mystery CAL so much that I’m working up both the warm and cool versions with your suggested colors and a third one with colors I’ve chosen myself. Can’t wait to see the finished products.
I love knitting shawls the most but I have knitted a cardigan, and some accessories before too. I also plan to try knitting a sweater at some point
The colors this month are beautiful! I’m hoping to knit my first sweater this year. Thanks for all you do with patterns and yarn!
Sharon
Been working on shawls, blankets, and other random things! I don’t always have a pattern, so I’ll just start crocheting something and practice stitches, then rip it out and start over!
I like to knit sweaters but have been enjoying shawls lately.
I enjoy both knitting and crocheting. I only learnt to crochet since last year watching you tube tutorials and enjoy doing it. I have mainly done hats, blankets and baskets. Planning on doing some shawls for Christmas. I’ve just knitted myself a top using the North dk in a slightly mauve colour. Merino and cotton and it was lovely to use. The colours in the giveaway are excellent. Plenty of autumn colours
I seem to making baby blankets non stop at the moment. Not one of them for my family 🙁. Hopefully one day I’ll be a Nana
I just love learning a new crochet stitch or technique, whatever the project! And working with your beautiful yarns makes it even more delightful 🙂
I love making hats! They are great small(ish) projects and there are so many interesting patterns available.
Hmm……favorite type of project……. it really depends on my mood. So I don’t really have a favorite as long as it is colorful!!! I love color! And your colors are beautiful. Thank you for the giveaway!
Alisa
Cardigans for my granddaughter, blankets and scarves are my go to. A hug and live included
I love working on toys.
As long as yarn is gliding thru my fingers, knitting, crocheting, weaving…But I’m on a shawl kick now
I’m loving knitting my Fall Gloaming shawl right now. I still really want to knit a sweater!
I love making blankets and then shawls. I also love to make tote bags. I just love to crochet! Thank you for a chance to win your giveaway.
I love variation, atm working on wine country shawl (k), baby hat (k), baby boots (c), giraf (c), sweater (k), cardigan (k), christmas deco (c), carpet (c) and a scarf design (k). I would love more hours in the day 😅
Absolutely beautiful colors. My favorite projects are sweaters, scarves, and cowls.
Crocheting scarves and baby blankets mostly
All of these colors are amazing. I love to knit and crochet everything. My absolute favorites are blankets.
I prefer garments — sweaters, cardigans, and tops — though lately I seem to be making more shawls!
Right now I’m enjoying making shawls, I love your bright colors and the chance to win your giveaway
hello Candi, I enjoy knitting cowls and gift them to friends Hats are always fun to knit then there are shawls these are my favorite items to knit
I love making grow as you go shawls or blankets. It feels like the process goes faster.
Shawls — I don’t have to make them “fit.”
I love creating summer knits (tanks & tees). I just finished making the Balance Point tank using your Ephemeral Fingering yarn…one for me and another for my mum. Next up I’ll be knitting the Riptide. Love everything you do!!
Hard to choose a favorite, but if I had to choose, it would be something with varied colors and stitch patterns that keeps my interest; shawls, cowls and hats tend to do this for me.
I enjoy shawls and lap blankets (or lapghans).
Usually baby blankets and Stuffed toys, but at the moment I am working on a Cowl that was named for my recently deceased son.
My favorite projects are the ones that will be gifts for special people.
Wraps, and shawls are my GO TO projects, but recently I found your pearlescent yarns worked beautifully for sweaters as well.
Love to make shawls & scarves. I just bought a book on animagurimi (?)And I’m making my first stuffed animal!
I actually like to have 2 projects going simultaneously…. one where I can knit and be social, and one that challenges me. I like doing sweaters and also shawls.
I love knitting! Right now, I am finally getting back my sock mojo and using up my sock yarn stash!
I have been kniiting for charity recently and also supplying my daughter with baby shower gifts. Looking forward to making something for myself.
I love expression fiber arts. Would love to make some socks for my grandkids.
My project loves vary, but I can always work on a blanket!
Things that make someone happy
Socks! so many ways to make a sock…there’s always something different to try.
I like simple blankets! They’re easy to work on without thinking about what I’m doing.
The colors of the yarns are gorgeous. They will look so good in ponchos and shawls, which I love to make.
I love to work on almost anything that is interesting or a slight stretch for my skills, keeps me engaged!
Love working on shawls, pet blankets, socks & donation hats for premise. Have a great day. Blessed be.
Gorgeous yarns!! My favorite projects currently are shawls, socks, and stranded color-worked projects of any kind! I knit and crochet and I get cast-on-itis a lot but I don’t mind having projects that I can jump back and forth on depending on my mood, concentration, and energy level (oh and work and family interruptions–ha). I would next like to work on knit/crochet tees! Thanks for the opportunity for a giveaway!
I like to knit cowl and shawls.
Favorite projects…amigurumi; no, blankets; no, mitts; no…. Okay, seriously, it is probably shawls because of all your beautiful patterns. I am getting quite a collection.
My favorite thing to work on is a shawl. It just seems you’re giving the gift of a warm hug and if it’s for yourself, you’re showing the love. Thank you so much for this chance to win an amazing giveaway!!
Thank you for your generosity Chandi and for the chance to win this treasure! I love to knit neck accessories, shawls, cowls, scarfs.. It’s like jewelry, never enough!😄
I tend to make tops of all kinds. Of course, if there’s a pretty stitch pattern or motif in other patterns I gravitate towards those as well.
Hi! Chandi and team of EFA I really love and enjoy knitting after follow your channel. I want to knit shawls and scarves and also mittens. I love to make. Bye..Love yeah…
I love to knit! It is my every day activity. I really enjoy fairisle designs. But what I really enjoy is gifting the things I knit to family and friends. Lately I’ve been knitting things for my new grandson.
I love making this as gift for friends and family! These can range from a pair of socks to a beanie to a new summer lacy cardigan. Baby blankets are also a fav as those seem to become keepsakes for the littles I have known.
Depends on the day and mood.
I like to make shawls and scarves and Christmas items. Thanks for the lovely giveaway.
I like working on a project appropriate for the season, so when it’s warm, scarves and hats that don’t take up a whole lap. In the spring and fall, shawls. In the winter, blankets. Every type of project is my favorite when I’m working on it. 🙂
Your yarns are all so beautiful! I love knitting simple lace shawls or scarves. I give away most of my pieces because I love to make my friends and sometimes strangers smile and feel special!
I love variety, no not any particular item, but I do look for more challenging patterns, lace, cables, or variety of stitch patterns within the projects. The colors in this month’s lot are wonderful. They will be a joy to whomever receives them.
I love making shawls and blankets
I enjoy knitting for family and friends. I have a new granddaughter waiting to be born (she will be my 5th granddaughter). So busy with items for her. When the family say they have what they need then I will go back to my charity knitting. Which I love to do as you know that it’s all needed and appreciated. Happy knitting or crocheting to everyone.
Well, younger daughter and hubby and my husband and I will soon be moving from Los Angeles to the Chicago area where they hope to start their family….. SOOOO, I’ll be working on WARMer clothes, and, hopefully, baby things!!!!
I love knitting sweaters the most!
Knitting has been a part of my life since my Nana taught me at age 4, I am now 67, and learning the continental style of knitting, is a challenge, but it is way easier on the hands.
I love creating all sorts of goodies eg. blankets for charity.
I’ve been crocheting for almost 30 years. I love making shawls, summer cardigans, you name it! But I just finally (with help from your video on Continental Knitting) learned to knit! So now the sky’s the limit! I already have one of your knitted shawl patterns & yarn ready & waiting for me to get a little more confident!
Hi Chandi! I love crocheting shawls, sweaters and christmas tree decorations.
Hmm..I’m not sure I have a favorite type of project. I go though phases where I want to learn new techniques or I will look for a “mindless” repeating pattern or I’ll get in a finishing mood and finish all my old projects (or frog them.)
Blankets. I love to crochet blankets
I like to work on projects for gifts for other people – so whatever I think they might like – a blanket, poncho, or a scarf. Your yarns are gorgeous!
Mostly shawls (currently working on Etude n° 2 shawl). But I also like a project where I learn a new technique.
I love to crochet, learning Tunisian crochet then hope to try knitting. This is the first year ever that I am trying my hand at wearables. Not yet sure I am loving it but definitely learning lots. It helps that I don’t mind frogging! 🙂
I love variety, too. I usually have at least two projects going at the same time — one that requires concentration and the other either garter or plain knitting or fairly plain crochet. When it’s so hot like now, I like working on small projects for gifts or charity.
I really enjoy making blankets, sweaters, hats and scarfs. I’m always cold so anything to keep me warm in the winter.😁 I’m building the confidence to learn how to make socks and mittens.
Right now I am making socks for all my fave people. But I plan to make a shawl for my Nana this fall with some of your yarn I purchased last year. I keep it near my chair.
My favourite project is the one I’m currently working on lol. I both knit and crochet; however, I do prefer ones I don’t have to wrestle with (like the MCAL and MKAL); but I’ll persevere 🙂
I love to knit with tiny needles (0000 & 00000) making intricate lace patterns. Since I mostly knit doll sweaters for adult collectors, this works perfectly!
I’m newer so I think it will change over time, but it is a toss up between little kitchen items like coasters and washcloths and blankets. I’m hoping to get better and faster to fall in love with other things.
Chandi , I just love your yarn. And the colors are simply scrumptious. They are a joy to work with.
When I first learned to knit, cowls were my favorite thing to knit, then as I got a little more confident, shawls were the favorite. Now I don’t have a favorite becuase everything that gets finished and is worn (especially by others) turns into a favorite.
I have been crocheting and just picked knitting back up again after learning the continental style (which has been a GAME CHANGER!). My favorite projects are the ones I’m making for members of my family. I have been fortunate enough to have made something for each of my nieces and nephews. We also just recently found out that my boyfriend’s niece is expecting. So, I will be working on another baby afghan soon! Thank you for continuing to be so generous to your yarn community!
i love knitting shawls and scarves.. and i crochet amigurumy toys.. i usually work 2 projects together.. if i get bored of one of them i switch to the other.. i knit at home.. at the doctor’s clinic.. on the beach.. in the bus .. i knit wherever i go..
I like making blankets but in the heat of summer I prefer shorter projects. I have a scarf that is good because it goes to the side and doesn’t sit in my lap (it is too hot for things to sit in the lap).
I’m all about sock knitting! I love being able to pop my project bag in my purse and take my socks wherever I go
I love to knit Jackets~Sweaters..I always have 2 or more projects going.. I also loom knit…..I love your yarn..right now..I am working on my 1st pattern of yours…MANTLEMIST…LUV’N IT!!
Hello Team EFA!!
I love socks! They are quick and portable, and everyone needs socks!
I love to crochet afghans, tops, shawls and am dying to try my hand at knitting socks.
I love to crochet afghans, tops, shawls and am dying to try my hand at knitting socks.
Shawls
I have finally learned to crochet watching videos from the designer making beautiful baby blankets, throws, etc.so much fun and learning so much! Chandi, I also love to watch your video tutorials on Facebook.
I love knitting shawls, hats, and cowls. I’m also venturing out into the wide world of hand-knitted socks and blankets. Someday I hope to knit a sweater, and learn color-work along the way too. (One off my fave Fiber crafts is spinning, and I’m currently spinning several colored balls of“mill ends” with the plan of using them in color work in the future.) Sorry for the lengthy response.😉
My favorite things to crochet are clothes: tops, shorts, pants and occasional afghans.
Sock and shawls are my favorites at the moment… and one skein projects, easy to carry with me
I’m a slow knitter so hats and fingerless gloves are my thing — but I love having the scraps to knit toy mousies with; the local shelter loves getting them for their cats! <3
I just love to make handmade gifts! So whatever pattern I see that hits the spot for the recipient!
Since retiring a year ago I have been able to increase my knitting time. I have actually made two sweaters for myself; however, my absolute favorite project is shawls.
Such gorgeous lusciousness! I am a shawl addict.
Hi Chandi
I just purchased some Blossom Fingering to make the Villiers Shawl. I had the pattern for the 1st style but I just fell in love with the boho style. Who would have thought adding fringe would have given so much life to a “so-so” shawl! Especially using such a drapey gorgeous yarn like your Blossom Fingering. Perfect combo. I cant wait to feel it next to my skin. I couldn’t decide on 3 colors, so I chose a 4th color the would be a “pop” color in case I was feeling it when the yarn arrives.
Oh, and by the way in case you haven’t guessed, right now, I’m into light weight shawls and tees. Northern California foothills are experiencing some 100+ Fahrenheit days with literal flames licking our heels. So anything light and cool is top of the list.
My top three favorite things to make are hats, cowl, and shawls but I’m branching out to tops and love them so far!
I enjoy making garments in bobbin lace. When I will have finished my scarf I will start with a vest. The colours of the giveaway package are gorgeous!
I am new to crochet, but I just made my first poncho!
My favorite project to work on is anything for my sisters or sister in law…I love making clothing items for them and blankets…..I always have multiple projects going at the same time.
These colors are so gorgeous I can see sweaters, fingerless gloves, scarves, cowls soft draped blankets. So many possibilities….thank you for all of the luscious yarns and patterns you offer.
I absolutely love working on socks. Anything from lace to worsted, I make socks for all seasons, and I only ever wear my own hand knit socks.
I’m disabled and crocheting or knitting is my life!! I love learning new things!
Shawls are my absolute favorite item to knit. I also enjoy cowls, hats, mittens, and an occasional sweater, but shawls are my “hugs” that I gift the most. Thank you for the opportunity to win some of your sumptuous fiber.
I love variety! There’s always multiple WIPs laying around it room.
Hi Chandi,
At the moment, I’m crocheting a baby blanket in the shape of a fish tank with fish, coral, seaweed, & bubbles. I’m also Tunisian crocheting a top and knitting a blanket. However, I really enjoy making wraps but have not tried knitting one yet as I’m a newbie when it comes to knitting; I’m trying to get comfortable enough to try and make some of your gorgeous wraps.
I’m expecting Squishy mail of the luster sport kit!! I haven’t decided what my WIP will be. I’m currently working on the Gradient Sea shawl, I love this pattern.
Hi Chandi, lovely yarns as always. I really love making asymmetrical shawls & wraps lately, I do have a top in my hook as well as two blanket throws.
Cardigans I just love a beautiful cardigan knitting pattern no matter what yarn weight ♥️🧶
My favorite knit projects…..sweaters and afghans. Love your yarns, Chandi!
I love to crochet. I create my own patterns. I’m really into Tunisian Crochet and it doesn’t matter what type of year or size. I work from all sizes and use a variety of colors to create different pictures on blankets, potholders, wall hangings, and even keychains. Your yarns are absolutely beautiful. Would love to make something new with them.
I’ve been knitting a lot of Christmas stockings lately. They are so satisfying!
Hats are my go-to project. They are so quick and satisfying.
I love making shawls, then tops and sweaters. I really love your yarns and patterns.
Shawls and blankets seem to be my go to. I think because they’re comforting and nurturing to give as well as receive.
Hi Chandi! I just love you! Your quotes ALWAYS speak to me. If I win, I WILL learn to knit and then I will make the Shifting Sands!❤
I’m looking forward to crocheting the pebbles top and the blushing eve shawl. I’ve not been crocheting for very long but I’m looking forward to challenging myself to working with new fibers.
My favorite projects are hats. I use up odds and ends and make them to give away to homeless shelters.
Hello EFA friends! My favorite thing I’ve made so far is a teddy bear for a friend of mine. She’s pregnant with her first kid and I knit he baby a companion. My overall favorite types of projects so far are shawls. I’m currently tackling Camarodonta and loving it!
Projects I like to do most are blankets/afghans and shawls. They work up quick and feeds the excitement I have watching it come together.
I’m new to knitting. So far I’ve been knitting shawls. Hope to move onto socks soon 🙂
For my sins, I’m always attracted by the maximum-effort, expert pieces with complex stitches or colour-work. They require a lot of patience and attention and are the most rewarding to complete. However, I find that it’s essential to keep another couple of quickie “mindless” pieces on the go at the same time for those occasions when I’m tired and concentration levels are low. That way, by the time I’ve finished that big piece, I’ve actually finished two or three pieces and got a whole lot of satisfaction on the way.
I love making clothes for my kids! ❤️
I love making sweaters and afghans, knitted and crocheted. I also crochet dishcloths that I donate to a charity that sells them, then donates the money to cancer research.
I’d love to make a throw with pockets for my granddaughter. These colors would inspire me!!
I love making shawls and cowls. I’m really itching to learn stranded colorwork too, so I can make some of the patterns in my favorites list.
My favorite project is something new and a little challenging.
My favorite projects are hate and blankets. You can never have to many of either and they’re fun to gift
I meant hats not hate! So sorry for the typo
I usually keep a few projects going… maybe an afghan that will take months plus a quicker project. Your beautiful crochet shawl patterns are some of my favorites!
Don’t really have a favorite. Not many projects off the needles, yet, for this beginner knitter. I learned to knit because I wanted to make socks, have been really wanting to make a nice lacy shawl. Only have 2 sizes (2.5 & 3mm) of circular needles at the moment and not really much yarn, or the money to buy more. It would be really helpful if I would win this beautiful yarn from you.
Margaret
I knit lots of socks, hats and baby items. Been knitting since I was a little girl and still get so much pleasure from it!
I love working on projects that challenge my skills. I enjoy making shawls that have a lot of different stitches and motifs in them, as well as afghans and ponchos. I also make a lot of amigurumi toys.
Hi Chandi,
A lovely assortment of wool again this time. I love the soft natural tones mixed with the jewels – perfect for autumn!
As for preferred projects: I love shawls of any size and colour. They are so nice to just through on and can work with any outfit, the perfect item for when it gets just a little more chilly…
Have a wonderful day 🙂
Love making sweaters!
Dear Chandi and Fellow Knitters and Crocheters!
I LOVE doing things for my granddaughters! They appreciate ANYTHING I do for them, so it is so very rewarding! I enjoy doing sweaters, and vests, and amigurimi! I want to try making bedspreads for them one of these days — for which I plan to adapt your ADALIA shawl pattern in an array of colors!!!
I wish you all much happiness and PEACE while you are working on your projects, and always!
Right now I’m canning tomatoes. I have two blankets I’m working on, one is almost done the other I’m just starting. I’m hoping to have a blanket made for each of my kids by Christmas!
Hi Chandi, I love to both knit and crochet. My favourite projects are socks, shawls, and baby blankets🥰
I’m drawn to patterns with cables like your Dream Glow pattern which I loved working. I’ve downloaded many of your other patterns and bought yarn for most of them, but haven’t gotten to them yet. Recently finished the Riptide sleeveless tee and wore it the other day, so proud of myself! I plan to try a sweater with sleeves and socks at some point. So many beautiful patterns and yarn, so little knitting time!
I always want to knit sweaters, but they are quite large projects to tackle. Therefore, hats are usually my go-to since they are smaller, quicker, and still as much fun. But how many hats can one person have?! Maybe I’ll have to start donating.
There are wonderful organizations that take homemade hats for cancer patients. I discovered this when I started making them for my mother-in-law when she was ill. That could be a fine purpose to your wonderful projects😊
That’s a wonderful idea. 💕
I’m bicraftual and still discovering what I like in knitting, which I’m newer to. I enjoy everything from amigurumi (when my hands cooperate) to lacy shawls to colorwork hats to sweaters.
I am in awe of this collection! It is fabulous and you are fantastic❣️❣️. I love to knit! I find I am interested in sweaters now. That is why I bought your step by step tutorial for 14.99. Wish me luck!! I need guidance but am so excited to get on it!!
I don’t really have a favourite yet, I do like making cowls and hats
My favourite projects right now are shawls. I have rarely knit the same shawl twice. I like to pick patterns that will challenge me to learn a new knitting technique, stitch, or skill. I am venturing into colour palettes and really enjoying the excitement of pulling together colours that play off each other. Thank you, Chandi, for asking. Have a lovely August.
I love settling in to work on a throw or something that takes a while. Looking forward to start creating sweaters and cardigans in the near future though!
Lace shawls are my favorite things to knit.
I’m happiest working with heavier yarns in general, but above all, I like using yarns that aren’t terribly dark — a baby sweater is languishing because I decided on a mostly navy blue yarn that I love, while its twin in a much lighter greeny-gray that I found unappealing flew off the needles.
This last year & a half, I’ve been inspired to work through a bunch of shawls and now I’m working on socks and am super inspired by all the socks! ♥️ I have some of oasis Hoarded in my yarn stash and am probably going to try a beautiful lacy pattern with it, after I finish my latest pair of vanilla socks that is. Made with the lovely boing-y resilient sock yarn 🧶
I love to make things for others. Wether it be a surprise gift or something I plan with them. I find I am much more excited to see the project progress than when it’s for myself.
Making a tuna without a pattern, choosing my own stitches, was a real joy. Bonus : my grandmother loved it !
I meant ruana*, silly autocorrect
I don’t have a favourite garment to crochet yet (learning to knit is on my to-do-list!). I like it when the pattern has a little variation, especially if its a bigger piece 🙂 I love lace patterns or something with… well, for a lack of a better expression for a 3D effect, when the pattern comes out of a piece and not everything is an even level 🙂
I have no one favorite item to make. Whatever project I am currently working on is the favorite of the moment.
I don’t have a favorite thing to make – I love to learn and perfect techniques, though.
I don’t really have a favorite project to work on. My “favorite” changes based on my mood. Sometimes I need something small and very portable, and my favorite is a pair of socks. Sometimes I want to make a gift for someone who is sick, and then my favorite is a prayer shawl or blanket. When I’m overwhelmed, my favorites are simple patterns like garter stitch or granny stitch. When I’m bored, my favorites are the newest stitch patterns that challenge me. So, I usually have multiple projects going to match my current mood. It takes a while for them all to get done, but I don’t get second sock syndrome or feel like I’m stuck in blanket quicksand.
This month’s giveaway is so beautiful! 😍 It’s so hard to choose a favorite item to make…It really depends on what I’m in the mood for!
I think my favorite type of project is something that I’ll give away as a gift. I like trying new and different patterns, so it’s not one particular thing.
Even though they take forever to make. I love to make blankets whether it’s crochet or knit. There’s something about the weight and feel of the blanket in your lap. Especially on a cold winters night. It’s just so cozy.
Much as I love the treat of luxurious yarns and challenging designs my favourites are anything I can use up scraps on or repurpose in new projects. I hate waste and get a real buzz from being resourceful with creativity and the skills I have to just use up some of my stash 🙂 Random colour work, crochet gift bags, eclectic scarfs, pointless Star Wars characters rendered in wool for my now 30 year old son’s Xmas stocking etc 🙂 I’m also guilty of knitting both my kids expressionless Brussel Sprouts with googly eyes to hang on their Xmas trees. I can assure you they really are the fairly inexpensive gift that just keeps on giving every year! x
I love shawls.
I always stayed away from making shawls because I don’t use them. Now I’m making them for the experience and will donate them when finished.
I love knitting and crocheting baby blankets. I also love to make shawls. Ok i concede I cannot just pick one item. Thank you
I love making clothes for my grandchildren, shawls, and amigurumi. Thank you for the monthly giveaways.
I love knitting jumpers best!
I love knitting socks and shawls. Things to keep warm in the winter..
My favorite project was a large bed throw.
I like knitting and crocheting small simple projects (like hats, cowls, mittens, socks) or larger more complicated projects, with a combination of stitches, so I don’t get bored
I love knitting baby items. This year I attempted my first sweater for myself and I absolutely enjoyed it! I have also made two summer tops since!
I love big complicated knitting projects that take forever. It means I always have something to work on in between smaller projects.
My goal over the pandemic was to advance my knowledge of crochet, and thanks to YouTube, I found Chandi. Her wonderful tutorials helped me SO much! I’ve even learned to knit, somewhat, and am getting better every day. My big project right now is Wine Country, with the Cognac and Mountain Lake 3 skein kits.
I love making hats. And little projects that help me learn new skills. Lately I’ve been crocheting a bunch of dish cloths.
You create such beautiful yarn! I love to make shawls and usually give them away. Thank you for the fabulous give away.
I’m new to knitting so right now I’ve been having funknitting shawls
I love making socks, shawls and mandalas. Right now, I’m working on my first crochet cardigan.
Shawls! I love winter accessories.
Hello Chandi , I enjoy making from hats to shawls. love hats to give away with scarfs. Knitting and crochet keeps me calm.
Hi, I’m from Brazil. I love your emails and your work, I really want to learn how to make a shawl
My favorite project to work on is sweaters for the fall. I just love being all snuggled up and warm when it’s cold out!!
My favorite thing to knit is socks 🧦. No, shawls. No, I mean cowls. No, it’s definitely socks.
I like working on anything!!! Shawls ponchos blankets sweaters…haven’t really tried socks yet!
.y favorite type of project is one im almost finished making!!
Actually, I enjoy making garments for my grandkids, husband & fur baby, Mojo!!
Then I treat myself, by making something for myself, right now I’m working on a couple of pullovers!!
Hi Chandi,
I love your website and your youtube very much. Your videos are so positive and your projects so charming. I wish you a lot of creativity from the deep of my heart. Simona 🙂
I love all your projects, but your tops and ponchos are the best, so I would like you to make some new gorgeous tops or ponchos 😉
I’ve been sewing a lot recently. With cooler weather on the horizon, I want to knit a shawl or two. I would also like to try my hand at crocheting.
So far I loved doing oven mitts. I use a three-stranded pattern, so color combinations are infinite ! Quick and useful, and a fun gift.
My favorite project is anything with a little bit of challenge to it. I love knitting sweaters, or any project with colorwork, lace, or textured stitches. I enjoy using patterns as a jumping-off point, then winging personalizations. And fun-colored yarn makes any knitting better. 🙂
I don’t have any one favorite kind of project. I like to make shawls, cowls, hats, cardigans, afghans, etc.
I absolutely love working on projects that are completely (or almost completely) stranded colorwork!
I’ve been knitting almost 20 years and crocheting since Christmas. I love DK and Worsted weight. Most of my projects are hats and scarves – I love the simplicity and repetition. And the projects work up fast. As a busy mom, I don’t always have much time for knitting or crocheting.
The colors in this giveaway are absolutely perfect to me! Gorgeous, as always, but blues and greens are my favorites!
