Hello, my sweet sugar plum! I have a lovely Adventurous Beginner knit cowl pattern that I want to share with you this week. It uses a fun and easy corrugated ribbing technique and we have a video tutorial for you! Read on to learn more about our Conasprella cowl!

This striped cowl was designed for us by Janica York Carter. She says, “Keep it cozy with a thick, sumptuous cowl. Create rich texture with two-color ribbing worked in the round. With a larger circumference at the shoulders and a smaller circumference at the head, this subtle cone shape is reminiscent of the beautifully striated, conical shells of conasprella sea snails.”This pattern calls for our 100% superwash merino wool Buttery Bulky yarn. You’ll need a total of 4 skeins for this cowl, with 2 skeins being used for the main color (MC) and 2 skeins for the contrasting color (CC).

The sample shown used Marshmallow (MC) and Mountain Top (CC). The sample shown used approximately 351 yds (173 yds MC, 178 yds CC) total.

We have filmed a video tutorial for you showing you how to make this cowl. Take a look:

This Adventurous Beginner pattern contains written instructions only, and would be perfect as a quick holiday gift.
