Hello, my delightful dewdrop! I want to share with you a beautiful knitted shawl pattern called Pink Rain. This beautiful shawl was designed by Gazal Mohammed, and it is perfect for snuggling up in on a rainy day!

Gazal says, “Rain is not common here in Saudi Arabia, but I dearly love the rain. I love the feeling, the smell, and the freshness that it brings. The idea for this pattern came to me one day as it was raining. It was evening, and the sun was setting. I looked out my window, and I saw the sunlight was shining through the raindrops that were dripping down from the eves of my roof. It made them look like pink diamonds dripping down from the sky to the ground below. I knew I had to create something to capture that magical moment in time.”

The shawl starts with a garter tab cast on. The body rows of stockinette make for easy and relaxing knitting. The lace section is a 12 stitch repeat and uses basic lace knitting stitches.
The sample shown used our Enduring Worsted yarn in the color: More Merlot, Please.
This yarn is a blend of 80% Superwash Merino Wool and 20% Nylon. It provides great stitch definition and is thick and warm.
Approximately 703 yards (643 meters), were used in the sample.

We have filmed a video tutorial for you showing you how to begin, work the lace section, and work the i-cord bind off.

Take a look:

This Adventurous Beginner level pattern contains both written and charted instructions. Additional rows of the lace section can be added, but it will require additional yardage.

It’s a gorgeous, cozy and wearable piece we think you’ll love! Do let us know your thoughts on this one.
