Hello, my dear friend! This week, I want to share with you this lovely sweater pattern, Ichor. This gorgeous pattern was designed by Candy Key, and I can’t wait to tell you more about it!
Ichor, is defined as “the fluid that flows like blood in the veins of the gods.” I think of this definition and how it relates to knitting this sweater. Yarn flows. Knitting gets in your veins. The process of knitting stranded colorwork is the fluid in the process of making this sweater. When you put this all together the name Ichor for this sweater is perfect.
This sweater can be made in several lengths. The sample shown is a cropped length of 10.5”/26.7cm length from the bottom of the arm hole to the BO. When you get to the main body of sweater, the length needs to be determined before knitting so that you can make your “hue” sections the same size.
The sample shown used our Rocky Shores Hues and Pink Pearl on our Dewy DK yarn. Our Dewy Dk yarn is squishy, plump and a favorite. It is a mix of superwash merino wool (70%), nylon (20%) and silk (10%).
Sample was made in size A and used 822 yards total.
Please refer to the chart on page 10 in the pattern and the information in the Notes section for information on customizing the pattern and for the yardage needed per color.
Note- It is very important to wash and block your swatch to check for color fastness before beginning your project.
We have filmed a video tutorial for you on secrets and tips for knitting fairisle in the round.

This Advanced level pattern contains both written and charted instructions.
I just love the combination of blues and pale pink in this top. It is perfect sweater for those cool and rainy autumn days.

I have started the Kola Street shawl and I’m stuck. I’m not understanding the bobble stitch directions. Do you have a tutorial on this? It’s the “2nd row
down” part that I don’t get. Thanks so much!
