My favourite yarn weight is 3 sport
My favorite yarn weight is 3, sport weight. I love the way it works up especially for sweaters. Beautiful yarn! Green is one of my favorites! Good luck to all!
My favorite weight depends on the project, but I love fingering for shawls and warps.
I knit socks for family and friends so fingering is my favorite weight of yarn.
Hi Chandi,
My favorite yarn to use is DK. I’m in Florida, but I’m always cold due to air conditioner, so I’ll sometimes use Worsted… I have purchased several of your Fingering weight yarns but haven’t used any as of yet – building my knit stash…😉 I can’t wait as all of your yarn is gorgeous, but I’m trying to get more comfortable with knitting to use the bulk of it. I love your yarn! 😍 I still have quite a few crochet projects I must finish before I can continue working on my knitting, but with your video tutorials, I feel I’ll make it thru because you make it seem so easy (even though I know it’s not)… You are the best!!! 🤗🥰😚
My favorite yarn to knit up is fingering weight because it knits up into a finer, drapier project.
I love to rotate through different weights depending on the time of year!
I am starting to like sock or sport weight yarn more and more. My grandmother used to say thinner yarn makes neater projects
I think my favourite yarn to work with is sport weight… It has a more fine look than DK, like fingering weight, but knits up quicker. I love my first sport weight sweater I made and wore a lot last winter!
I like working with all differant weights.
DK is much favorite, hands down. I’ve found it to be super versatile while still giving me more of an instant gratification than with sock or fingering!
I work mostly with worsted weight
Congrats to Cathy!
Very happy colors in this month’s giveaway, all the colors of the rainbow. Thanks, Chandi! 💚💙💛💜🖤🤍❤️
This one is tough to answer! I love all of them. 🥰 But if I have to choose, probably fingering or sport, just because I feel like the options are endless. It’s true it takes longer to see progress or finish a project but all the different stitches that are possible, like lace and the knitting doesn’t get as heavy then you’re close to completion, lol. 🤣 Once in a while knitting in worsted weight is fun too, but I definitely prefer fingering or sport. 😉
What about you, Chandi? I think to remember you mentioning once in your FB live that you’re a worsted fan.
I do love a good worsted weight yarn! That would probably be my favorite. 💕💕
Worsted weight is my favorite as well. I knit and weave and you can get great stitch definition. With worsted and sport. I loose that pop when I work with fingering weight. I don’t know why. Thank you for the wonderful giveaway. Everyone raves about how wonderful it is to work with. Your the best Chandi!!💗🍀🌺🌷💐🧶
I love working with dk weight best
Im learning to knit socks right now, so anything that works for socks is my favorite!
My favorite is fingering, for versatility and affordably.
My favorite is fingering for the same reasons.
I enjoy working with DK.
One of my new knit years resolutions was to work with all different weights of yarn. I’m loving all of them!
I love working with Sport or DK yarns. I can produce something that looks intricate and still see satisfying progress after an hour of knitting.
I use all weights. Current projects range from a 3 to a 7 weight. Posted my current projects on Instagram.
Such a heavenly collection! My favorite weight is DK, but I love to experiment and try out different things. I’m planning to crochet big dream catchers with very thick yarn, I wonder how it will turn out 🙂
I like all kinds of yarn weights but Worsted seems to be one of the easiest to find patterns for!
My favorite weight of yarn to knit with is DK. I’m hoping to learn continental knitting so I can knit finer projects with more speed, and that will encourage me to try thinner weights of yarn.
I love me some bulky yarn.
My favorite weight of yarn has been the fingering weight for my socks and hats.
My favorite weights of yarn to work with sure fingering weight and bulky; I’m a pretty new knitter, so I’m still exploring!
I am currently working on a project with beautiful fingering weight yarn and was tempted to choose that one, but when I think about it a bit longer then I guess DK would be my overall favorite. Generally speaking I find that the structure and feel of the yarn are more important for how much I’m enjoying working on a project than the weight.
I love DK and Sport weight due to the lightness of the yarn for our humid SC weather!
Fingering, bulky, dk, and sport. They are beautiful and I will work with them all. Whether knitting or crocheting I am excited to learn a new pattern no matter the yarn weight. Good luck to all.
How beautiful are this months giveaway colors are, wow!
My favorite weight is DK or worsted, but I have a lot of fingerling in my stash that I get creative using two strands, it’s like painting with yarn 😍
It really depends on my mood. I think chunky yarn is my palate cleanser because I can finish something pretty fast but I love the drape and different color changes in finger weight. I do most of my work in Sport though.
Another glorious collection of yarn!
Favorite weight? Bulky works up so quickly, fingering drapes so nicely…like children- you can’t really have a favorite!
My favorite weight for quick projects is bulky, but fingering and DK are my absolute favorite to work with. They look much finer.
I would have to say my favorite weight is Sport.
And I love your inspiring quotes!
My favorite weight to k it with is DK. Although I have knitted with worsted and fingering lately.
My favorite weight of yarn to work with is either a weight 3 or 4 (or DK and worsted weight)! Also, please follow me on Instagram at @handmade_by_karaw!! It would mean so much! Here is the link: https://www.instagram.com/handmade_by_karaw/. I’m 11 years old and love to crochet!!
Yes, I remember you! I just checked, and I am following you on Instagram! ☺️
Very tough question but my favorite(s) would be fingering, sport, dk & worsted. Thank you for this wonderful opportunity.
Oh yeah! Haha, I forgot!!!!!
Fingering weight is my favorite because I like to knit socks.
Projects using fingering weight are what I’m drawn to right now. I really love the look of the fabric it creates and it just feels so natural in my hands.
I love fingering weight yarn its so light and yet still warm. Beauty of something so small and thin making works of art.
I love working with dk weight. It’s so versatile!
I love working with most yarns, but I think worsted or thread would have to be my favorite! I love doilies and amigurumi and baby blankets! And shawls are my go to stress relief patterns!
My favorite is fingering weight yarn. Thank you for this amazing chance. This would be an awesome birthday present.
I love working with bulky yarns ☺️
I love working with worsted weight. Not to big, not to small, but just right!
I’m not sure I have just one favorite. Orignally it was worsted, but now it’s dk and fingering. It also depends on what I’m making.
I primarily alternate between fingering and DK.
But ho am i kidding? I knit with all weights.
Sock yarn and more sock yarn
I cannot pick a favorite yarn weight. DK-Bulky works up quickly, but fingering weight produces lovely items also. All very satisfying in different ways!
I love working with fingering weight or lighter, I have yet to try something in cobweb, but it’s on my list to try!
Congrats Cathy! Love the March greens and the hope they bring for Spring. I have mostly worsted weight but like to change it up everyone once in awhile with baby weight (#2-3). Love Linda’s comment above … yarn, ‘like children, you can’t have a favourite’!
Worsted. I love working with worsted. But I end up buying more DK than anything.
My favorite weight is sport or dk, these can be used for almost anything I wish to make. Love your colors.
Love your yarn. The colors are so saturated …..it’s like diving into a piece of fine art!
I really like a sport weight
I just love all your yarn. It’s beautiful and soft and easy to work with.
Because worsted is way to heavy to wear anymore – I prefer DK or sport now. Your yarn is beautiful.
I enjoy working with sport weight the most.
I’m a new knitter, but so far I loved knitting the Barristan Beanie with your cashisilk sock yarn!
Lace weight. The thinner the better. Until I finish a project, then I like to do something in chunky that goes quickly.
My favorite yarn weight is worsted,
Beautiful Colors !! I love fingering weight for the versatility. I also really like a DK for sweaters, shawls….a wee bit quicker end product! Love love your yarns! I really need to get (and knit !!) the Oasis Camel/Silk yarn… Sounds so dreamy!
I really can’t pick between them all. It would be like picking a favorite grandchild. They are each special for their own uniqueness.
I love a 4ply/fingering weight yarn – perfect for both crochet and knitting projects.
Favorite weight of yarn? probably a sport or DK, though I love them all.
I love fingering weight yarn, so versatile and holding it double gives you even more options.
My favorite is fingering weight. I love making socks and shawls!
My favorite is fingering and sport weight.
I love the colors of this yarn! My favorite weight to work with right now is 4 because it is beginner-friendly. I recently ordered some fingering weight from a local shop though, I am excited to try so many! I feel like I would love bulky yarn as well but have yet to try.
My favorite weight to knit with is fingering weight.
I love fingering/sock weight!
I really like super chunky yarns when it’s cold, and lace for the warmer months!
I’ve enjoyed DK lately! Knits up quickly and still shows off details nicely.
That’s a tough question to answer! I adore the feel and versatility of fingering, both to work with and the finished product, but sometimes I need to make something in a heavier weight as a quick project. It’s all so much fun 💞
Wow those colors! 😍 My favorite yarn weight is a coin toss between worsted and sock weight. Both are so versatile.
I’m new to knitting and haven’t tried all the different weights so can’t pick a favorite. Currently working with the Seacoast Fingering on the Brunnera shawl and really enjoying it.
Oh man, that multi-color is just amazing!!! I’m not sure I have a favorite weight…I do love a nice fingering but bulky is fun too. Do I HAVE to choose? Lol! I do a lot with fingering because I like the drape I get with the finished fabric, so I guess I lean towards fingering? 🤷🏻♀️
Has to be fingering weight, so tiny yet so fierce.
My favorite is fingering weight-it’s versatile and I love making shawls that are extra drapey!
I love fingering weight yarns because they create delicate, yet sturdy, finished products. I also think that they drape more nicely than some other weights. Having said that, it is lovely to see a project work up so quickly when I use a heavier weight yarn!
I gravitate to sport, DK, worsted, and Aran weight yarns
I love working with Worsted weight! It’s quick but still very pretty! I just started using fingering weights with my first hat last month!
Fingering is my favourite.
I love those bluish shades on this post!! I enjoy working with all types of weight yarn, though the fingering ones are more difficult for me. Love Chandi! Thanks for sharing so much beauty.
I really like fingering sock yarn. But cooler weather I’m using up my worsted.
What a bright & cheerful collection! Love those blues! The warm climate where I’m living means fingering weight yarn has become my favorite. 🧶
My favorite weight would have to be sport or DK. It’s still versatile but the drape usually ends up luxurious.
I love using all weights! But I think most of the patterns I fall in love with use Fingering weight or DK.
The colors are beautiful! I like working with either a weight 3 or 4.
I like the basic 4 weight, perfect for crochet projects! The one I have is so smooth it’s wonderful 🙂 hoping to win the giveaway so I can try some new yarn!
I love to work with fingering and sport weights ! The Spring greens in your photo are beautiful, btw.
I’ve been loving DK weight lately. A little quicker of a knit than fingering, not as bulky as worsted!
My favorite yarn weight depends on what I’m knitting. Chunky & bulky for hats and scarves, worsted for blankets and sweaters, sport weight for mittens, gloves, and fingerless mitts, sock weight for (of course) socks! I love them all!
I love knitting with any weight. One of my least favourite is bulky. The thickness of the wool takes away the pleasure of seeing the pattern grow. Love sock and DK, just so much easier to get the pattern going.
I like to work with fingering weight yarn.
I also like to rotate but if I had to choose only one, it would be DK/light worsted for its versatility, speed and ease on the hands.
Lace, Fingering, Sport and DK are my favorite yarn weights!
Fingering for shawls, DK for cardigans and jumpers
I prefer fingering weight yarns. I hope one day to get into thread, because it’s what my great-grandmother used to work with the most. I still have a tablecloth and several doilies she made for me.
I’m enjoying DK for projects right now, and love your uplifting quotes.
Chandi!!!! you can’t ask me about a favorite weight of your yarn!!!!!! lol…I LOVE ALL YOUR YARNS!!!
Any weight is fine by me as long as the yarn is soft and beautiful!
I am just a yarn junky!! I love them all, depending on the season. This winter, I’ve been into chunkies making warm blankets for the family’s couches. Spring is almost here, so I’m starting a shawl in one of your beautiful fingering weights! I’ve been knitting with worsted for years- hats, mittens and scarves for the kids! During this past year, my stash has kept me SANE!!
This is beautiful! I’ve been loving working with sport weight lately.
Thanks again for a chance to win your wonderful creations.
I think my favorite yarn weight would be dk or worsted
I like using bulky yarns, the finished item is so cozy! But I’ve just started making socks with fingering weight and I’m really enjoying the fine fabric it makes.
First off, congrats to last month’s winner! Second… my favorite yarn weight to work with lately has been a toss-up between fingering weight and lace weight. I’ve been on a shawl-making kick lol, and I love using lighter yarn weights for those because it makes for a better drape.
Some of my favourites include fingering sport and dk as these give me so options to turn into something great!
I love fingering weight for shawls and stuff. Seems you can use it for most anything.
I like DK! Thank you for all of the beautiful yarn!
I love fingering! I live in a hotter area of the US, so I usually knit lighter items. But when I get cold (about a month out of the year), give me WORSTED!
Fingering weight is my favorite but doesn’t mean I don’t also love DK and Worsted
My favorite weight of yarn to work with is fingering weight. I think that fingering weight yarn has a super gorgeous drape! I also like how I only need 5 skeins of fingering weight yarn to make a sweater. I love fingering weight yarn!
I love working with all weights of yarn, but I think dk is my favorite! There’s such a wide variety of projects with this weight!
Lately I’ve been working with super bulky yarns and they are a quick knit, however the elegance of a fine knit cannot be compared so I’ll have to say DK weight is my fav!
My favorite weight of yarn to work with is lace weight. I just love the drape! I also love how light the fabric is.
Hmmm…I love DK weight for most projects, but it is a close tie with fingering, depending on the blend.
What gorgeous colors this month! ♥️♥️ My favorite weight is definitely sport! It’s the perfect weight, for the summer months, to make tees and cardigans.
Love to work with many weights. Depends on my mood.
Fingering and Sport are my favorites!
So far I have mostly knit with dk weight yarn but have been wanting, for years, to learn how to know socks!
I’ve not really worked with fine yarn. I think my fingers feel clumsy when I try to use them. I really like worsted weight as there’s so much to make using it. I suppose I’d find just as many items to make if I used the finer yarns.
I love the versatility of fingering weight, and sport <3
Lace weight. Fingering is a close second!
DK is my favorite weight to knit with. All your yarns are amazing!
I switch back and forth between knit and crochet. More projects are sport weight but on any given day I could be working with bulky or even bedspread weight cotton!!
I love all weights of yarn, but if I had to pick just one it would be 4 or sports weight. But then again I do crochet a lot with #10 thread.. So hard to pick just one!!
I like and usually work with worsted weight yarns, but also open to trying lighter weights. I love all the colors this month, beautiful!!
My favorite yarn weight is DK !! Some of my work is posted @judisgirlknits
I am fairly new to knitting so I have not had the opportunity to try and compare the different weights, but I can’t wait to try them all!!
I live in a warm climate, so I tend to use fingering weight more than anything. It is easier to layer knit on knit for a cozy look as the seasons change. Loved your plant-based yarn from months ago, Chandi! That was beautiful yarn that worked well for my summer!
I love working with fingering weight as I am in full Grandma mode at the moment. and I am adding heavier weights as my cherubs start to age up
I love bulky weight yarns these days for knitting up chunky, cozy hats and blankets. 🥰
I like fingering – it mixes well & it’s quite versatile.
My favorite weight of yarn is fingering. I love sport weight also (especially your Luster Sport) but there aren’t as many patterns in sport weight as there are in fingering. I wish you had more sport weight shawl/wrap patterns!
I love fingering weight because it feels so delicate and buttery, but working in a worsted makes the patterns just fly by.
I am just starting back up with crocheting and learned how to knit. In the past I’ve worked with worsted weight and baby weight yarn. I’ve recently worked with bulky and started a project with fingerling. I think each one has it’s own beauty. I love bulky because you can see progress so quickly, fingerling has so much beauty and elegance. They are all wonderful for different projects!
This is a hard question!!! I think my favorite is fingering but it takes forever to knit. Love DK and Sport too! Really hard to choose!
I find that each weight of yarn is good for different projects and I love working with them all at different times. I mostly use DK and aran but equally love the change of using fingering or chunky! Variety is what keeps it interesting 🙂
I like lightweight fibres, preferably in a fingering weight, and anything with silk! The colour combinations you choose are lovely!
How can anyone choose? I love them all!
I like using worsted a lot, it’s so much faster to knit with so I can get a lot more done.
I enjoy DK and Worsted weights. However, I’ll knit with any yarn when I love the color!
My favorite weight of yarn to use would be sport weight
Fingering at the moment, learning to make socks.
I love the drape of DK and sport.
Beautiful yarn selection! My favorite yarn weight is fingering.
I like the heavier weights; worsted on up.
I prefer fingering weight, with sport weight or DK tied for second place 🙂
I don’t know if I can choose a favorite weight or fiber of yarn, I’m quickly becoming an addict 😱 but I’m most frequently using yarn DK and thicker. However, I really want to become more familiar with and better at knitting with smaller gauge yarns like lace and fingering weights.
My very favorite weight to work with is fingering/sock yarn. I find it to be very versatile. But probably my favorite yarn of all was your yak/silk laceweight! Like working with cloud fibers ❤️ It’s so soft and light, yet warm as it can be. Also has a beautiful sheen and a perfect drape.
I haven’t mastered knitting- yet- but I enjoy crocheting with sport weight. I love the feel of it and it is easy to work with.
My favourite weights of yarn are fingering and DK
I love worsted weight(4), but prefer sport/DK/3. I hand knit/crochet and also have a couple of knitting machines. For those I love 3-1 weight yarns.
I love the colors and textures in this month’s giveaway. Yummy!! Thank you so much for your generosity.
Fingering and DK are my two favorites. I love how the fingering glides through my fingers and the plump softness of the DK .
This is beautiful- I love the greens and blues!
Congratulations Cathy! 🎊
I wish I could tell you what my favourite weight of yarn is. I’m such a new knitter and crocheter that I dont have enough experience to say! 😁 So far I’ve mostly been re-using yarn obtained from unraveling an old sweater to practice. However, I’m finishing up a baby blanket crocheted with DK weight yarn. So, I guess my favourite would have to be DK weight yarn by default. ☺️
Loving your yarn and patterns!
I really enjoy working with DK, Worsted and Bulky.
Much Love
I would have to say my favorite weight is Sport.
And I love your inspiring quotes!
I’ve always been partial to worsted weight, but lately I’ve been loving the intricacies of using fingering. Creating beautiful designs is so much easier with the thinner yarns.
I love working with practically every weight of yarn. Each one is unique and has it’s own set of issues to deal with as you adjust to using it.
Lately I have become a big fan of fingering weight for certain projects. Still like worsted weight too
My clear fav is fingering 💕
I love worsted weight yarn. I remember as a child learning to knit & crochet used worsted weight.
I love the feel of knitting with fingering as well as the look of the finished product.
I love the finer yarns, super fine, lace, fingerling, I’ve even done thread-well 4 cones at the same time. I’ve gone up to DK, but it has to be really great yarn.
My favorite is worsted weight. I’m ready for a dose of lovely spring colors after a long, bitterly cold winter. Thank you for a chance to win your beautiful yarn!
I love them all!! but I knit mostly with sock, DK and worsted.
It depends on the project. I’m a weaver and so far what I have worked with I believe has been fingerling and some DK.
It’s hard to decide, however fingerling and sport are nice.
For shawls I love fingering or even lace, for wearables DK and blankets worsted or bulky. Sorry I can’t pick just one, each is special for different reasons.
This set is beautiful! I love worsted weight for sweaters, but also fingering for shawls and socks!
So coming from South Africa, our yarn weights are different to US and UK (wish wish that we would unify). I do love a natural textured yarn – if that is the correct way to describe them – like hand spun yarns. The end results are just so natural and different, interesting ! But for the more “normal” things, I use DK – which here is a bit thinner than Aran and then Chunky which is just thicker than Aran, nice for a quick crotchet project. But it is a dream of mine to get my hands on some of your yarns (sock/sport weight I think?) and crotchet one of your beautiful lacy shawls (when the exchange rates come back down to earth – ever hopeful). Warm summer love to you all from SA xx
My favorite yarn is sport weight!
Usually a medium weight is my go to. Sometimes I use a bulky if I’m making a blanket.
Great springy colors. I love the mix, but then I always do. Maybe I will get lucky one of these months, you never know. Enjoy the great day today. Keep on knitting, has saved my sanity so far.
I love fingering weight yarn. It’s so versatile and you can do so much. Thank you for all of your giveaways. Your yarn is so beautiful❤️❤️ It would be awesome to win this month! It would make a wonderful birthday present 😊
My favorite weight is sport weight yarn. It is due to me living in a climate that is warm most of the year and allows me to work up spring and summer pieces more quickly that with fingering weight yarn.
I love to work with all weights of yarn when it is good quality of yarn. Your colors are so vibrant! I love them all
I do like bulky yarns for a project that sort of knits itself. But I knit with all weights of yarn. Lately, in a desperate effort to whittle down my stash, I have been looking at combining yarns. I made a pretty fade cowl with two strands of fingering weight held together, and now I am making a hat with a strand of heavy fingering and a strand of heavy lace to achieve a DK weight.
Fingering or sport weight are my favorites! I like a good DK sparkle too
Good morning! Fingering would be my favorite!
I love making baby blankets with the luster sport. They are so squishy and soft and light enough to use year round. But I’ve started using DK for my older neices and nephews blankets and it sure works up fast and makes a beautiful blanket. I have loved ALL of my EFA yarns!
Hard to pick a favourite but I always come back to fingering weight. So many projects ……
I love working with worsted weight yarn. It’s hearty enough to work up smoothly, and versatile enough for most projects.
I have been using mostly worsted. I am looking forward to receiving my order of Twisted Tweed DK and knitting the Sweetgum pattern! I love your spirit. Thank you for sharing it with us.
I use different weights, depending on the season…I am more interested in the color and feel of a yarn
What glorious yarns you make…absolutely gorgeous !!!! I love fingering weight the best, although the speed of making something in DK or Worsted is luring. The joy is in the journey.
I go back and forth. Probably DK right now. I’m reading here a lot of sport lovers which I don’t really use much so maybe my next project I will do with sport.
I have the attention span of a gnat, so I prefer working in Worsted/ Aran and Bulky because they work up so quickly.
If I look at my stash I’d have to say Fingering but when I look at a project, the bigger the yarn is the faster I think it’s going to get done. I like that but then most of the time I end up with a Fingering project!!
I really Love a 3 or 4 , any that is silky or soft. I really love the green and all the malty colored skeins. All your video’s are so fun to watch and to follow. Have wanted to try using your yarn but can’t really afford much.
I think my favourite is worsted but I tend to knit a lot with fingering…often held doubled 😆
DK is my favorite weight of yarn to work with. I have arthritis in my thumbs and this weight seems to give the least amount of trouble. Also I love making hats and DK lends itself to make a great weight hat.
I am loving the fingering weight yarns. They make beautiful shawls.
I love working with the fingering or sport weight yarns. I can be persuaded to use heavier weight yarns if I love the pattern.
Currently my favs are fingering, and DK. I use them all though depending on the time of year and of course the project.
My favorite yarn to work with is superwash merino. I haven’t had the oportunity to work with very many more luxurious yarns though, so my favorite might change after I do work with them.
Fingering is my favorite! I love the way it looks delicate and feels strong, plus dying yarns for socks really seems to bring out people’s creativity!
love expression fiber arts !!
I love the sock yarn and have made many socks. I love so many of the colors of the other yarns but it’s harder to work with the thinner yarns with carpel tunnel syndrome but I just pace myself as everyone loves the socks. I have wondered if the fingering yarn could be used for socks but not sure if they would stretch enough. So many beautiful colors of all yarns!
New to knitting and crochet, so I don’t think I have a favorite weight yet. Your yarn is stunning, especially the aquamarine. Love how it catches the light.
I love to knit sweaters and I’m a tad impatient :-), so I prefer DK/worsted weight. That said, I’ve been loving my bulky sweaters over the past few weeks!
Fingering, lace and cobweb are the weights I love to work with.
I love worsted best for crochet, but now that I’ve learned to knit, I love fingering for it.
Sock yarn is my preference, so I can get motivated to make more socks!!!
I have been enjoying worsted, dk, and sport weight lately. My hands are appreciating the larger needles and I love seeing my creation grow rapidly. And thank you for wonderful inspiring tutorials.
OMG, those colours!!! I am a bit of a beginner so usually only used worsted, but recently I have been using sport or DK weight and love the look and feel of the fabric it creates. Thank you for the chance.
I love worsted weight and fingering weight yarns 🙂 I find these weights are perfect for the seasons 🙂
That’s a tough question…choosing a favorite weight is like choosing a favorite child! (And don’t even ask about favorite colors!!) My preferences tend to vary throughout the year…fingering weight for the warmer months and dk or worsted for the cooler months. This year, particularly, I’m enjoying worsted weight yarns…so cozy and comforting.
I have to say I’ve been liking sport the best right now
I love worsted weight. I love to make blankets with it
Its so hard to decide. I really like sport or fingering but a good bulky gets results quick which is gratifying. All of your yarns are scrumptious.
Fingering and DK weight are my weaknesses! Love the feel of the fabric once they are knitted up.
I love fingering and sport weight yarn. I usually knit to help with anxiety, so its nice that it works slowly. And of course, nothing can beat the drape that comes from lighter weight yarns.
My favorite is the sport weight so far.
DK is my favorite! It’s the perfect weight for me.
That’s a tough question! For everyday stuff i suppose sport or worsted. But for the oohlala kind of things 1 or 2. I crochet so the smaller weights work up beautifully!
Hi all!
I usually enjoy 5 weight, seem to really use 4 weight.
My favourite is a dk right now.
A fingering weight yarn is my favourite for sure!
I like different weights for different projects, but I am super excited to do the concatenation pattern with your blossom fingering weight yarn! It will be my most detailed project yet!
Hi Chandi! I enjoy working with DK weight yarn. Thank you for the generous giveaway. Your yarns and colors are just delightful.
Really is difficult to choose! I think perhaps it’s between worsted and sport/DK weight yarns. I love making amigurumi stuffed toys and things the most and those are the weights I use to make them more often than not!
I wish I could say my favorite except I don’t know!! I have never picked a project because of the type of yarn to use. But I’m sure I like the silky feeling yarns. I wish I was more of a guru on types. Your blossom fingering looks and sounds like its up my alley.
Hi Chandi, I love them all but worsted is my favorite. It gets the job done quickly so I can start my next project.
My favorite weight yarn is DK (this year). I’ve been crocheting for over 50 years and have used all the weights, except the super bulky, Was “hooked” on the 4s, but like the drape and feel of the 3s much better. I also am doing more and more with the fingering weights. Just so much to choose from.
Your yarns are gorgeous…
The yarn weight depends on the project, although I generally don’t use anything heavier than worsted.
I generally look for a DK or worsted weight for the items i crochet ……. I find that as my eyes age, the finer weights are increasingly difficult to use, especially if I have to frog them. Thanks again for gifting some lucky soul a pocket full of rainbows…….🤞🏻❣️
Such beautiful colors, especially the teals!
Thank you so much for being amazing Chandi! Congrats to Cathy!
Fingering to Lace are my favorite weights to knit with, I just love that light fabric and the fall <3
Love your colors ever!
I tend to work with DK and Fingering..but hope to work in more lace weight yarns.
I love the versatility of fingering/sock weight!
I’m a worsted weight girl, and yet I can’t wait to learn how to work with fingering weight for the fine shawls and wraps it can make! Chandi, the colors this month are absolutely beautiful. I love greens and rainbows so much, and the blues int he collection are like a clear sky over the fields. pretty whites add a hint of melting snow and blooming white jonquils. How lovely!
Ooooo, the green is so stunning and just in time for St. Patti’s. My favorite color is teal, of which I’m happy to see it’s included with this giveaway. But that green just pops!
I usually gravitate toward using fingering weight on most of my projects because of the resulting drape and softness. I also enjoy using worsted as long as it’s soft and has a nice feel while knitting.
Thank you, Chandi, for the chance at this giveaway! You’re super!!
I love different weights for different projects, but if I had to only choose one, it would likely be sport weight.
My favorite yarn weight is fingering. It is so versatile! When making a larger garment, the total weight doesn’t hurt my fingers, hands, and wrists, so I can knit for longer periods of time.
My favorite yarn weight has to be either fingerling or lace weight. It really depends on what my mood is and what pattern catches my eye.
I enjoy worsted-satisfying progress but still very even and drapable.
Love working with lace or fingering weight on shawls – or DK and sport weight for cardigans! Like how the smaller weight yarns flows better on my projects!
I enjoy knitting with DK and 4ply
You have some of the most beautiful colors in your yarns! Amazing
I like dk right now!
I would say that DK is my favorite to work with but worsted is always good if I am in a hurry or I want it to be a bit chunkier. I am starting to work with fingering (how could I not with some of the beautiful yarns you have put out since last Fall!). They just seem to take a while to get things done 🙂
Congratulations to Cathy !! I’m awaiting my very first order of Resilient sock yarn and all ready to order more!! Think I’m excited???? Thanks, Chandi, I so enjoy your Tuesday morning chats !
My favorite weight is3 and I’m a sucker for pastel and earth tones depending on the season and where I’m currently at
My favorite yarn has changed since finding Expression Fiber Arts!! Really love the versatility of fingering weight and the softness it brings to my projects!!
I’m knitting a sweater with chunky yarn right now, but I love all the yarn weights! I guess I am more project driven and that determines my yarn weight. I’ve knitted everything from beaded handbags to sweaters to blankets. 🙂
I don’t know if I have a favorite weight. I just like squishy yarn. It all makes me happy
I love to use a mix of yarn weights , my current project is using fingering weight though. Those colours in the giveaway are just stunning 😍
Green happens to be my favorite color, in any shade. I love worsted weight, but I also like to try different yarns depending upon the pattern.
My fave weight is fingering/sock…such a much more versatile weight for what I like to knit most ^_^ <3
I seem to gravitate towards fingering, but I’m not adverse to using sport, DK or worsted……
there’s just something about watching yarn transform into fabric
I prefer sport weight because it is lighter than worsted, but usally drapes so nicely. Of course when I’m in a hurry, there is nothing better than bulky weight to get through a project with a deadline!
I love to work with DK or worsted weight yarn, but I collect lots of fingering yarn.
Ohh.. this is a feast that delights the eyes! Greens are my absolute favorite color way in all their shades and variations, especially now with spring on it’s way.
I knit with all weights but prefer fingering, sport or dk as I tend to layer 🙂 And since I knit daily it gives my hands a bit of a change with weight and needle sizes… strategies to just keep going!!!
I especially appreciate the sayings and words you include in your emails and posts Chandi, well done!
If I had to pick my favorite I would have to say that worsted weight is my favorite. I’ve only been crocheting for about 16 months so I haven’t been too adventurous yet with anything much smaller than 3 weight or sport weight. Congratulations to last month’s winner. Thank you, Chandi! I love to watch your tutorials, you have a calming and encouraging vibe and your instruction is clear and detailed. So, thank you for all you do. I hope I win but wishing good luck to everyone!
I love working with dk and worsted yarn, although gravitate toward fingering for shawls and wraps.
I think fingering weight is my favorite so far, although, a project with worsted or chunky keeps things interesting!! 🧶
I am not sure I have a favorite weight. I love them all for different reasons. I think I just like yarn…
I love double knit and fingering yarns
These are simply lovely! I really enjoy using your yarns.
Pick one favorite weight? I go between fingering for socks (love a nice, tight twist in a base!) and DK for oh, everything else. I love the squishy feel of DK and the way it works up quickly, but is still light enough to look delicate!
Sport weight is myfvorite
Long time crocheter, but new to knitting. Getting into making socks, so I love a fingering weight yarn!
Congratulations to Cathy!
My favorite weight in yarn is fingering. I love to knit socks, hats and mittens but this is also good for sweaters. I have a couple cardigan patterns that I really want to knit and they both call for fingering weight yarns.
Thank you for all the giveaways and especially all the gorgeous yarns
I have always bought fingering weight yarn more than any other weight but so many beautiful patterns are coming out in DK weight now that I am finding I need to start putting DK weight in my stash as well!
My favorite yarn is the one I am currently working with👍🌈 whenever I am working.
Hi there! I like to try different weights depending on what project i work on every time..
I go back and forth between loving to work with heavy worsted and fingering.
I like to knit socks or DK or sport for hats. Thank you for the opportunity to win. Good luck everyone!
I like to make the Tree of Life afghan, so most of the time, I’m usurping 4-ply yarn.
I enjoy working with all weights of yarn from lace up to buttery bulky. Nothing thicker than that.
Congratulations Cathy!
These are so darn stunning, Chandi. I’m new to working with GOOD yarn and anything other than worsted but I’d have to say that I think DK is my favorite. Fingering can be quite fine (although sock yarn is so so so awesome!) and worsted is so chunky to me. DK seems to be my Goldilocks, my juuuuust right, lol. Thanks for asking and thank you for your inspiring email newsletters, they’re always such fun.
I mostly use fingering weight, but I also love wosrted.
I love working with cotton sport-weight yarns!
my favorite weight is fingering or sport
I love knitting with DK weight, for its warmth, squishiness and speed in growing fabric.
Hi Chandi , I am starting to get into sport and fingerling and loving it.
I like different weights for different projects-fingering for socks, DK or sport weight for tees and toys, worsted for scarves, hats and sweaters. I guess DK is my favorite.
Delicious!
Pour moi DK est vraiment unique: teneur et rendu du motif.
I love fingering weight yarn. I like working with it, but it is so pretty when it comes! I almost hate to destroy the beauty of it by knitting it, I know it is just as pretty worked into something, but It’s just so nice to look at it in hanks!
Lace weight is my favorite but I knit a lot of fingering weight also, just because of the wide availability of yarn and patterns. I dabble in the heavier weights but the vast majority of my stash is fingering and lace weight. A quality lace weight is what makes me swoon!!
Hi, Chandi! 🥰 I would have to say my favorites are fingering to DK, maybe worsted for some patterns. Not a fan of bulky yarns, though I have knit a few patterns with them; I just don’t naturally gravitate to them, lol.
I love, love LOVE your yarn! I have so many projects lined up for the next 5 years at least! 😂 And I still want more! 🤩 But money is so tight right now, and I really need to get something finished! 😉
Fingering. And also all the others. 😉
My favourite is fingering as well – although I do like DK. Here in Australia its quite different – we have “4 ply” (fingering) and “8 ply” (DK) and then “10 ply” (worsted) and “12 ply” and so on.
I like all yarn, DK or chunky make me happy. Actually as long as it’s soft I love any weight, but things in chunky yarn get finished faster.
I like DK best
As someone who is new to knitting, I don’t think I can answer this question quite yet, but I’m excited to begin delving into the world of yarn more!
My favourite yarn to work with is cotton #10, for elaborate Barbie gowns. For blankets, i like worsted weight.
I adore the blues and greens in this month’s giveaway. Soooo scrumptious! My favorite yarn weight would either sport or fingering. I like bulky yarn and how quickly it works up into something squishable, but I live in Oklahoma so it’s too heavy to be practical.
I’m still learning what my favorite yarn to work with is. If in person I go by color and feel. I’m learning for my eyes darker colors are little more challenging though still my favorite. I love the top 4 layers of your yarn pyramid.
Hi Chandi!
My favorite yarn to knit with is sock (fingering) weight because I love, love LOVE !!! to make socks. ❤️
I’m fairly new at knitting, and I like worsted weight yarn.
Hello Chandi💕 I have to say, it often feels like you are reading my mind. Or possibly we are both plugged into the same muse-fuse box. My favorite kind of yarn is “beautiful” yarn. Sometimes I want to FEEL your creations so I can choose. Truly!
I love sock weight because I lovvvve making socks!!!
I have no preference but i do like to have a bulky or worsted-weight project going at the same time as a fingering or lace-weight one so I get variety and keep my fingers nimble. Lovely job on the yarn dyeing for the giveaway, as always!
My favorite yarn weight is sock or lace – I do a lot of work in both.
I’ve knitted with your Pearlescent Worsted and Pearlescent Fingering weights. I love them both so I’m unable to pick a favorite ❤️! They have such a beautiful sheen to them!
DK and fingering weight yarn tend to be my go to. 😊
I love to work with sport, DK, and worsted. I make crochet flowers and I love colors that you always temp me so much. from what you offer I tried and love the Luster sport give beautiful sheen to my flowers. I have used sock and fingering for flowers but they just don’t hold shape good and i can’t find right hook to make me happy. Worsted and Dewy DK flowers come out beautiful. I love that you offer different fiber blend. I have used your yarn to make shawl for my daughter I think it was Pearlescent in Alexandrite color of her birth stone. You do a wonderful job. Thank you. Yelena.
I love making socks, using fingering weight.
I love fingering but I love sport too. . . . .and In love to hold the thinner weights together to get a color all my own. Love you.
I love working with fingering weight yarn, it’s so soft and delicate. I am working on a shawl with your Mysa Hues Pearlescent fingering and it’s gorgeous. I love the colors for this month’s giveaway. Thank you, Chandi.
I love working with DK yarn, it just feels comfortable in my fingers 😊
Hi Chandi, Love your yarns and patterns. Thank you for all you do! My favorite weight is fingering. I love the drape and have dreams of someday making a large art piece “painting” using variable color yarns like what you offer….someday! 🙂
I like to use a 3 or 4 weight or Dk!
Lace and fingering are my favourites
I use a whole lot of fingering weight, but I think my favorite is DK. It’s squishier and still smaller than the worsted that I associate more with the acrylics of my early days. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but I have just begun to branch out the past few years. So I still associate non-worsted weight with my new adventures. It feels good to work with.
Oh! Thank you Chandi for this opportunity to enter this yarn giveaway! It is my first time entering!
I found you on YouTube. Wow! Thanks for your “zenitude” (zen attitude) and overall generosity: patterns, tutorials, guidance… and quotations! And yarn giveaways!
To answer your question: I love worsted weight (4) yarn, but discovered recently the DK weight and fell in love with it too!
So, thank you for being authentic and lively!
Elyse
(Montreal, Quebec)
My favorite yarn is sock weight.
I love Dk weight
I love fingering weight as well.
I Love DK and Worsted Weight yarn to work with. This is a Beautiful collection of yarn !
I love to knit with your Resilient Sock and Sincere Sock yarns, not wild about the Pearlescent Worsted yarn base because it tends to shed and has more of a halo than I like. Fingering and lace weight yarns are my favorite weights to knit with. Not a fan of thicker, bulky yarns. Currently knitting the Montagne shawl pattern with Sincere Sock yarn in the Poppy color-way. It’s coming along nicely.
I love heavy fingering. It’s versatile and knits up quick. Love those colors in the giveaway!
I love fingering weight yarns.
My go to yarn is a fingering weight allowing me to knit a pair of socks or think about knitting a shawl. The options are endless while the yarn is squishy and toasty warm!
Fingering/sock weight is my very favorite… Knitting socks is my jam – and sock weight makes such beautiful light weight scarves and shawls!
My favorite is DK or worsted.
I have grown to love the fingering yarn, but the DK is a close second.
I mostly work with fingering and lace weight!
I like to work with worsted weight yarn! It knits up so quickly.
I don’t think I have a favorite weight. It depends on what I am working on and maybe a little bit the time of year. I have a lot of fingering weight but also a lot of bulky from a binge yarn spree. So everything works for me.
I like working with DK yarns the best
Hi Chandi! My favorite yarn weights to work with are sport weight, dk weight or just #3. I also like worsted #4 weight yarn depending on the project. 💜💖
It really depends on what I’m making to say what my favorite weight of yarn is. I seem to work more with Worsted and Sport weights the most.
have been using double strands of my sock fingering for a while now, and liking dk weight now, when i find really good yarn. so hard to knit anymore, but keep on knitting anyway.
Howdy! I used to like aran (4) weight because of the versatility with hook changes…but NOW, I believe my fave is anything i can use a 7 (4.5mm) hook with… what fun!!!!!…by the way, your yarn is SO PRETTY…!!!!!
I really enjoy working with worsted weight yarn.
I love lace and fingering weight and love knitting with small needles. Your collection of yarn is yummy and I hope to win some of it.
Love your yarn and patterns.
I love all weight yarns, but my favorite weight yarn is DK. Especially your Dewy DK. I have used it so often.
My favorite yarn weight is fingering. I can get so much yarn from one skein and the weight is quite versatile
I think I would say DK/sport is first choice then worsted weight. Haven’t done much in the way of working with lace weight, but hope to change that sometime soon. I’ve done some knitting with fingering and it made me feel like I was knitting dental floss. I did love how the project looked when it was all done.
I love working with sport weight yarn.
I’m a huge fan of DK weight!
Fingering and sport have been my favorites for several years now; fingering weight yarn is just so versatile! The fine gauge makes projects really wearable, and a skein can be socks, a hat, a cowl, gloves, or a baby sweater.
Worsted!
I love working with a good worsted weight yarn.
Can’t say I have a favorite, but I really like bulky. I haven’t done a ton of crochet though, so working to find projects to experience the different weights.
My favorite yarn is fingering weight, with dk/sport weight coming in a close second.
My favorite yarn weight is sport with fingering coming in as a close second!
Fingering – I can play with adding another fiber with it ! Thank you , Chandi !
I don’t really have a favorite, but usually work with worsted in making toys.
I mostly work with DK 3.
For ease and speed I prefer worsted and bigger, but the DK and fingering yarns create such
wonderfully light and supple fabric. I just love them all!!!!
I like both thicker and thinner, depending on the mood. Sometimes I like really chunky ones for winter projects and sometimes I like to crochet cute doilies or decorations with thin ones. Thank you for another generous beautiful giveaway!
My favourite weights are sport and fingering.
Lovely giveaway this month, good luck to everyone who enters. My favourite yarn to work with is worsted weight
Here lately I am really loving to work with 3 weight yarn. It is light yet also warm and feels so good.
Adore those colours!
I like to work with fingering to sport weight yarn. It gives an elegant texture and drape.
Sock yarn is my favorite right now, or any blue tones
My favorite yarns to work with are fingering and DK.
Such spring array of colours! Thank you very much for giving it away.
My favourite weight is fingering for shawls and sport or dk for hats.
One day I’ll win 🤣🤣. I like thicker yarns, and like knitting on size 8-9 needles best… whatever weight THAT is (yarn weights STILL make no sense to me lol! And I’ve been knitting 13 years 🙄)
My favorite yarn to work with is worsted weight 🙂
I love working with sport weight and fingerling yarn. They are wonderful to knit with!
I like sport and fingering weight yarn for wearables, but my favorite weight for blankets is worsted weight.
Nowadays I’m all about sport weight yarn! Great weight for summer clothes!! Thank you for the giveaway❤️
Hello my favorite yarn is DK !
This month’s colors are my favorites.
I’ve always used worsted but have recently discovered DK and love it!
My favorite weight yarn is sport & DK. next is fingering.
I am really liking dk yarn. But after my projected dk pattern projects…. I will be needing some fingering yarn! So much to do!
Fingering/sport to create beautiful works of art in shawls.
Beautiful yarn and website ! My favorite yarn weight is Fingering !
My favorite weight is fingering/sport
Personally, I love worsted weight, although a thinner weight is nice as well. 🙂
Those blues are lovely!! And what a terrific green that is!! I would share some of these with friends if I were to win. Love your yarns, Chandi!!
Oops, forgot to mention yarn weight. Lately I have loved knitting with sock yarns –not for socks but for sweaters.
Those colors are to die for. Love fingering weight best. Occasionally DK.
Gorgeous eye candy – those are luscious. I like to work with DK weight and worsted weight. Good luck everyone!
I like sport and fingering weights but really whatever yarn I am working with is my favorite!
I have to say that fingering weight is my go-to yarn because it DOESN’T knit up too quickly! I guess I must be a process knitter rather than a project knitter. Love, love, love the colours in the March giveaway. Thank you so much for your generosity Chandi!
I used to favor worsted weight—the bulk of my stash. But lately I’ve been knitting with DK weight and have been enjoying it a great deal.
Beautiful colors! I love working with fingering weight yarn!
I’ve used a lot of worsted but have been getting into fingering lately. But of course a good bulky is fun too! Guess for me it depends on my mood, what I want to knit and sometimes what is sitting next to me when I sit down to knit a new project!
Really any weight, but sport or dk weight is the majority of my upcoming sweater projects!
Good morning! I love all of the yarn weights because they all have such different and beautiful uses, but if I just *had* to choose, I think I would go with worsted. Thank you so much for this opportunity, your yarns are the most beautiful! 🥰
I’m exclusively a crocheter and prefer your lovely DK yarns!
Fingering weight is my favorite to work with💚. Gloves, sweaters, hats, you can make anything and everything with fingering weight yarn 💚💚
I started crocheting with Worsted and loved it, but bulky is my favorite. It’s just so satisfying to be able to finish a project because it works up so quickly. Super bulky is great, but the larger hooks are not so great for my hands.
My favorite weight for yarn worsted or fingering. It’s really hard to choose but these are the weights I have been using the most of lately.
I love all weights of yarn, but truly enjoy working with fingering weight. Having just returned from a stay in the cardiac unit at St. Mary’s Hospital and having to put my sweet Labrador to sleep, I have many more hours to fill with knitting.
I enjoy so very much your posts and emails. They bring a ray of sunshine to my day! You are truly the “lovelie” in the world. Thank you!
I seem to be working in fingering lately. Have been looking at the DK weight for a celtic wrap cable project I want to make, but I need to save up. I loooove your yarn and don’t want to sacrifice quality of the finished project. Besides, I knit slow and enjoy the feel of the yarn and project.
Beautiful colors! I enjoy working with dk weight yarn these days!
I’m still a pretty new knitter, so not a whole lot of yarn range under my belt. I seem to have been picking up a lot of fingering yarn, but the times I have used worsted weight I have loved working with it (incl. the pearlescent worsted, which is just amazingly wonderful).
My favorite weights of yarn to knit with are DK and fingering.
I love knitting with dk and sports. But be true to myself I like all weights of yarn.
I enjoy working with DK.
I tend to really like sport weight. However, when I’m working with EFA yarn I LOVE your fingering and worsted weight, but I can’t wait to try some others!
Generally speaking, my favorite weight to work with is 3 ply fingering. But honestly, my favorite weight is whatever project I am working on.
Sport weight is my absolute favorite! But I am starting to get into fingering weights as well 🙂
Beautiful colours and yarn 😍 I like worsted weight yarn, but also wotlrk with lighter yarn.
My favorite weight to work with is bulky 5 because things are quicker. I like the look of projects made with thinner yarn so I use those most often.
I’m still a beginner so my favorite weights to work with are dk and worsted weight. I’ve also figured out that cotton is by far my favorite medium even with it’s tendency to split. I love the snuggly feel of a worsted weight cotton after two or three encounters with the washing machine.
Fingering weight!
My favorite weight is DK.
Fingering weight for sure! I love the delicate things that come from fingering yarn.
I think I’ve used worsted more than any other, but started branching out lately.
I love all things yarn. I love the feel of yarn! My favorite to work with is sport or sock yarn. But really love it all!
I love working with lace and DK weight. I do make charity shawls and blankets with worsted weight but not your your gorgeous yarns. Charity blankets are knitting or crocheted with acrylic yarn as most recipients don’t have the means to hand wash and lay flat to dry. Sigh. They are the ones that would really appreciate the wonderful softness!
Weight depends on the project. I have done a few sweaters in fingering weight and love them, but for afghans I prefer worsted. Prayer shawls I use a bulkier yarn. I really love the greens and teals in this month’s giveaway!
Worsted weight is what I use most often, but dk/fingering weight is my favorite to use.
I prefer a 1 or 2 weight but a light 3 is ok. I work with all weights, but really prefer fine, light yarns.
BEAUTIFUL giveaway! My favorite yarn wt. is fingering wt. yarns! I am addicted to knitting socks!
Your yarn is so beautiful in color and so scrumptious. I use DK, sock weight yarns
Choosing a favorite yarn weight is like choosing a favorite child – they all have their strength, weaknesses and quirks. 🙂 I guess I use Sock, DK and Worsted the most, depending on the season and pattern.
DK all the way! 🥰
My favorite is dk
Congrats to Cathy!
My favorite yarn weight would depend on the project—I enjoy fingering, DK and worsted, and every now and then a bulky will be used.
I enjoy working with DK 3 weight yarn. I love making shawls and find it gives my items great drape.
I really like working with lace weight yarn. It’s so light and fluffy
Well…it defaults to a medium/worsted because that’s all I’ve ever worked with. 100% prefer multi-ply yarns though.
I would have to say that DK is my favourite, you can never go wrong with a DK.
3-6 is the yarn I like to work with.
Hand’s down fave yarn to knit with is fingering. Even tho I live in northern Michigan I still prefer it even for sweaters … as we often dress in layers and it is also not uncommon to need a sweater in the summer. Therefore our sweaters never need to be stored seasonally !
The yarn weight for the project I’ve picked to knit or crochet. Every month you have fabulous colour options.
I think after making a shawl with the Dewy DK, my new favorite weight is [that specific] DK yarn. It was heavenly to work with. Normally I like working with all kinds of fingering though, including the Pearlescent Fingering, which was my favorite, now replaced by the Dewy DK 🙂
My favorite yarn weight is fingering, but I’ve been wanting to do more with sport and DK also.
Most of what I’ve knit lately has been worsted or dk, I’d like to knit more lace weight, but never have enough time!
I don’t really know. I’m a newbie. I love these and all your colors, though.
DK or Worsted please! Thank you! Love the colors!!!
I think my favorite is sport weight, but I have been making A TON of socks lately, so I’m also feeling partial to fingering!
my favorite yarn is worsted, because of its versatility. I use it for basically everything. Toys, sweaters, blankets, slippers, scarves…although I do keep a good amount of sock weight yarn on hand for knitting up socks for Christmas presents!
Really starting to love sock weight, but I will not turn down ANY yarn if I love the colors. Your colors are gorgeous!
I love fingering or Sport weight. It’s so versatile.
And I love the colours you put together for this giveaway, thank you.
I’m a loose knitter.
I like knitting at a gauge of 20-24 sts x 1o cm, between a 3-4mm needle, so that could be fingering, sport, dk, or light worsted.
A plump yarn, wooly and squishy.
I LOVE them ALL. Super bulky hats and fine lace weight shawls…and everything in between!
I don’t really have a favorite. It just depends on the project I’m working on.
My favourite yarn weight depends on what I am making and whether I am knitting or crocheting …
It used to be lace but I am loving DK weight at the moment.
Congratulations to the winner! And Chandi, wow, these colours!! I love working with fingering weight, you can make so many different things with it! x
I agree with Janet. My favorite yarn weight depends on what I am making. I do like to work with fingering and sport weight for items that can be worn throughout the year.
I prefer to work with fingering
I don’t have a favorite weight of yarn, but I usually use a 4. Mostly because I make blankets to give away. I would love to win one of these give-a-ways someday, so I can finally make something delicate like a shawl or sweater for my Mom.
I really like working with DK weight yarn
Although it depends on my current project, I prefer working with dk yarn.
I really like working with fingering, but sometimes there’s nothing like a quick bulky project to keep the motivation up.
I love working with worsted and DK weight for sweaters. It’s versatile, looks good, and still knits up quick.
Wow. I sure do love your blues and turquoises. They make me dream of spring in my garden next to the river.
O! And, my favourite yarn weight is sport because it’s bigger than sock/fingering but not usually too big for a light shawl. I love knitting shawls.
My favorite yarn to work with is fingering or DK
I was going to say that I don’t have a favorite, but I have, by far, more worsted-weight projects in Ravelry than any other weight.
My favorite yarn weight would be a tie between a 3 and a 4 weight. I love your patterns.
My favorite weight for yarn would be fingering. It is so delicate and so many yards in each skein.
My favorite weight of yarn to knit with is DK to worsted depending on the pattern.
The finer the better for me!
I usually work with DK or fingering weight. All of the colours are gorgeous, not an easy decision, but the multicolour rainbow is my favorite. So many possibilities!
I am new to knitting and find that I choose yarn by it’s feel and color. I try to buy enough to knit most anything, then I go looking for a pattern to knit using that yarn. I know that this is not the usual way to choose yarn. Right now, with the pandemic, I am not able to go yarn shopping, much less anywhere, as I have a lung condition and can’t risk getting Covid. So I am working my way through my yarn that I bought when I could travel.
Kris White
I like DK weight
I used to live for worsted weight yarn. You couldn’t pay me to go below a size 7 (sometimes 6) needle. Eventually, I came to appreciate the versatility of lighter weight yarn and now I knit mostly with fingering/sport and rarely go above a size 6 needle. Living in Tennessee doesn’t offer many chances to wear heavier hand knits anyway.
Wow!! Love these gorgeous colors!! Wishing for Spring! My favorite weight of yarn is fingering, but I can always find a project I want to make – no matter what the weight! Keeping my fingers crossed! 🙂
It depends on the project. Worsted weight is easiest for me to work with.
Worsted is my go to weight but pushing myself to try more projects outside of the worsted lane. Love the March giveaway colors. That green wet March grass color yarn….Oh my goodness so must have.
My favorite weight is fingering!
Fingering is my favorite , but I’ll knit with any weight.
Fingering weight! 💖
Fingering weight is my favorite yarn weight. Its not the quickest knit for me, but it makes beautiful sweaters!
I seem to alternate between fingering & worsted!
Oh look at that…….spring is coming. My favorite yarn is fingering.
DK, Sportweight and fingering weight
Hi! I really like a #3 weight of yarn. I feel it is more flowing for the shawls I love to make 💕
I love to work with really any unique yarn. Mostly a 3 or 4 weight and I absolutely LOVE the soft yarns 😍
My favorite yarn is DK as that’s the first yarn I learned from but I’m also starting to love sock yarns and finer shawl patterns.
I love working with fingering weight the most.
My what gorgeous yarn! I love working with fingering weight, mostly for socks. Who doesn’t love to wear hand knit socks 😋
I really love to work with the buttery/bulky yarns. They are so soft and everything knits up so fast. I almost wished I still lived up North so I could wear more of the chunky cowls and things longer in the year.
I have only tried the fingering weight yarn. I made a beautiful shawl.
Fingering weight is my favorite for most crochet projects but I like DK or worsted for pin loom projects.
I definitely am a DK woman!
I love to work with DK. Knits up faster than fingering, patterns made for it can be more intrecate than more bulky weights.
I’m definitely a fan of worsted and bulky yarns, but I’m excited to use some fingering weights I just added to my stash!
My favourite is DK yarn because that’s what I used for learning to knit for the first time.
I love to work with worsted (4) or chunky (5) weight yarns the best. They’re the most versatile for the projects that I make, both knit and crochet.
Lace for sure but I’ve found sports is really nice for shawls absolutely love all my EFA yarn and everything I’ve gotten from you is Devine to work with.💜💜💜
My favorite weight of yarn would be sport.
Favorite is hard to pick. I enjoy DK but lately been venturing into sport, fingering and lace. Living in FL U.S it’s a bit too hot for heavier weights.
Super newbie knitter here! Just purchased Copland and can’t wait to try fingering weight. Thank you for all your fantastic information!
Wonderful! I hope you enjoy!
Wonderful colors this month! I’m so blessed to have some of your wonderful yarns in my stash but who can ever have enough. I am wanting to make the SHALA top and I can’t seem to make up my mind on what color is best. I love ALL the colors. My favorite yarn weight would have to be fingering. I do like sport for many things, but fingering has my heart for sure. With a shimmer or glow and nice drape.
Hi! what beautiful colors! I love DK and worsted weights the most. 🙂
My favorite yarn is bulky. I would love it if you started carrying super bulky! I think it is so pretty and knits up so quickly!
Congratulations Cathy!!!!!!!
My favorate yarn is DK, fingering, and lace!
Good luck too you all…..
I work on all weights EXCEPT super chunky – that seems like a workout rather than a relaxing hobby!
My favorite is DK. And your colors are scrumptious. <3
I work with all weights, but probably DK the most often.
Probably 4ply/fingering but I wonder how much that is tied in with being able to afford a SQ?
Have a great day Chandi and thanks again for your generosity. xo
I seem to be drawn to the fingering/sock weight quite often…. Or maybe it’s the patterns that draws me that direction. Lol
I like all weights but especially dk!
I like using worsted weight. Much easier to work with!
I’m like fingering and DK. It just depends on the project.
My favorite is worsted, but I’m beginning to use 2 & 3 weights. It’s an adjustment for sure.
Fingering. I’m in central NC so heavier weights are too warm.
Hi Chandi, thank you for sharing. My favorite yarn weight has always been #4. I tried #3 weight & I loved how squishy it felt. So now I’m torn between the two. But you see, as long as it’s beautiful, I love it; doesn’t matter the weight. That’s why I have all the different weights. How much of them have I used? Only weights 3, 4 5 & 6.
I’ve been crocheting over 40 years and I LOVE THEM ALL! No picking favorites here!💕💕
My favorite yarn is fingerings weight
My favorite is DK
I would LOVE to try fingering weight because I have never used it before and I’m sure I would love it.
