Hello, my wonderful shining star!  Our knitting pattern for you this week is our Concatenation Shawl!

Concatenation is an Advanced Beginner pattern and is designed for those knitters who are ready to learn some new skills or stitch combinations. The skills include: simple increases and decreases, color changes, and a special pattern stitch.

A concatenation is a series of interconnected things or events. A simple stockinette base gains interest when worked on the bias.

To achieve this angular look, increase one stitch at the beginning and decrease one stitch at the end of each right side row. Introduce the next color in the sequence with delicate stripes created by interspersing slipped stitches with double increases that are then gathered back together on the next row.

I hope that you love knitting this shawl as much as we loved designing it for you!

This lovely shawl is made with our Blossom Fingering yarn in our newly released shades:

Spring Almond Flower (A), Splendor (B), Start Again (C), Whispering Wind (D)

We have filmed a video tutorial for you showing you how to work this pattern. Have a look:

This pattern is easily customizable by adjusting the amount of cast on stitches in an even amount.

The sample shown used approximately 1,162 yds total (294 yds Color A, 308 yds Color B, 280 yds Color C, 280 yds Color D).

Don’t you just love the stitch detail on this shawl? I love the glossiness of the yarn and the silky texture! The colors are like a breath of Spring!
