Hello, gorgeous!
Our pattern this week is a beginner level luxurious scarf/wrap pattern that drapes you in softness:
Wandering is designed by Jane Vanselous. The pattern has directions for both the scarf and the wrap.
Have a watch! We have filmed a video tutorial for you showing you how to knit the wrap!
The sample shown features our Oasis Fingering Weight Yarn in Stone for the scarf and in Paprika for the wrap.
Oasis Fingering Weight Yarn is 50% Camel and 50% Mulberry Silk; soft, shiny and luxurious!
The pattern is customizable! You can choose whether your texture is based on squares, rectangles, varied lengths, changing patterns of squares and more. All the instructions are included in the pattern PDF.
We hope you love this comfortable piece of luxury that is perfect for all!

Hi Chandi,
Thanks for demonstrating the seed stitch and the squares. You can call me dump but I don’t really get the table of numbers in the free pattern.
Would you please explain to me how to read/interprete the numbers in the table.
Yes, do a gauge swatch and find your sts per inch. Then once you know that, you will see in the chart how many sts to cast on for each desired width. Thanks!

Hi Chandi,
I have 2 skeins of beautiful Jane Alexander Pearlescent Fingering. Would you suggest this yarn base for this scarf or shawl? Thank you for your thoughts. I love your yarns and have more then I have been able to knit up! Keep on dying these beautiful yarns.
I think that this yarn base would work for this pattern. The varigated nature of the yarn might make the squares/rectangles, that are the showcase of this piece, less prominent. I hope this helps. ❤️
hi
Hi I want to order some patters, but I am having difficulty processing my card. Can you send me hard copies of the patters if I call in my order?
Send us a message here: https://www.expressionfiberarts.com/contact-us/ and we will help you. Thanks!
Hi Chandi,
Thank you for all your gorgeous videos and patterns, I have learned so much from you! I am still really a beginner though and am having trouble figuring out how to calculate the whole swatch/gauge thing for this pattern. I have a skein of dk wool yarn and size 9 needles. Could you please share some tips on how I can measure gauge if I want to make a scarf based on the picture shown?
Thank you!
Dolly
Dolly, absolutely. You’ll just want to work up a swatch and block it. (Wet and pin into shape). Allow to dry. Then measure your stitches per inch. Once you know that and the width of your desired item, you’re good to go! Multiply your stitches per inch by the total number of inches you want the item to be and that will give you your cast on number. I hope this helps!
Hi Chandi… I just watched your video on the Wandering pattern & can’t find it on your website. Your video showed up on Pinterest today.
Thanks,
Patty
