Hello, my lovely one! Today, I want to share with you a stunning crochet shawl pattern called Pistachio Falls. This gorgeous pattern was designed by Kristina Smiley. Read on to learn all about it.
When asked about Pistachio Falls, Kristina said, “My simple indulgences include my favorite desserts, summer fruits, cozy shawls, and fun shapes. This pattern has them all. This shawl is a popular crescent shape that’s modified slightly to feature a cascade of yummy strawberries in the color of pistachio mint ice cream. The body of the shawl is worked from side to side in a crescent shape, and the border of shells and strawberries is worked into its curved side, making it a fun and easy project to crochet.”
This Intermediate level pattern is for those who feel comfortable with crocheting and have made a few projects, using various skills and techniques. Skills/concepts include crochet lace, special stitches, and blocking.
The updated version of Pistachio Falls was made with our new, Limited Edition Confident Fingering yarn. When our mill spins up luxury yarns, there are often leftover fibers. We asked them to gather their woolen tidbits and spin them into this upcycled yarn base, so nothing goes to waste! This 100% Superwash Wool yarn includes a mix of various types of wool. Confident Fingering is a lightweight, 3-ply, fingering-weight yarn that is supremely soft and draping and is wonderful for shawls, scarves, cowls, sweaters, gloves and mittens, hats, and more! 420 yds/384 m per 3.5 oz/100 gram skein.
Our updated version of Pistachio Falls was made with color Follow the Dream Confident Fingering, and three skeins are needed for both the original and updated versions. The updated version of this pattern used approximately 899 yds/822 m total. The original version was made with our Resilient Sock yarn in color Pistachio and used approximately 840 yds/768 m total.
Be sure to order all you need for your project because once this Limited Edition yarn and colors are gone, they’re gone for good!

I downloaded the pattern and after row one I am confused. row 2 wants me chain 3 then dc, 2 dc in top of turning chain from previous row then turn. It’s very vague and messes me up. If possible I would like a video on how to do this or just better instructions. I’m also using the angelica mirage fingering yarn for this pattern not sure if there is a better pattern for this yarn but I’ve gone through a lot and can’t decide. Sorry if it’s me babbling
We might be able to work on that for you. Let me see what I can do.
