Hello, beautiful soul! Today, I have an absolutely gorgeous, knitted wrap to tell you all about. I think you’re going to fall in love with the lacy, lightweight Shunki wrap, so I hope you’ll keep reading for all the delightful details!

Shunki was designed by Emily Walton. When asked about the inspiration for her pattern, Emily said, “Alternating sections of Stockinette and lace worked in a loose gauge come together to create an effortlessly elegant accessory for spring. Pick your colors to make your own gradient, dress it up or down, and say “goodbye” to winter in style!”

This is an Adventurous Beginner level pattern and is perfect for knitters who are ready to learn some new skills or stitch combinations. Skills/concepts include basic lace, color changes, and blocking. The pattern includes written instructions only.

Both the original and updated versions of Shunki were knitted with our sumptuous Yak Silk Lace yarn, which is pure luxury! When yak is combined with silk, you get an amazingly soft, lustrous, silky, saturated yarn that is impossible to ignore! Yak Silk Lace is a luscious, 2-ply blend of 50% ultra-soft yak down fiber and 50% lustrous silk. It’s buttery, creamy to the touch, and shimmery with dreamlike softness. Colors dyed onto this yarn base are rich, saturated, and bold. Perfect for sensual, soft shawls, scarves, baby clothes, socks, hats, and whatever you desire! Hold it double for projects requiring a thicker yarn. Projects made with Yak Silk Lace will be adored and treasured for years on end, and it’s loaded with yardage with 680 yds/630 m per skein!

The updated version shown here was knitted with one skein each of colors Scorpio Enigma Yak Silk Lace (A) and Scorpion Yak Silk Lace (B) and used approximately 758 yds (693 m) total [379 yds (346.5 m) each color]

The original version shown here was knitted with one skein each of colors Blue Hydrangeas (A), Ephemera (B), and Rice Paper (C) Yak Silk Lace.
